buddie are actually so javajunkie coded and i’m tired of no one talking about it…eddie and lorelai both being teen parents raising a kid alone with a fraught relationship with their parents who think they know how to raise their kid better than them, buck and luke both loving chris and rory so much and helping out with them to the point where they’re almost like a second father to them. being best friends for several years before they become lovers. lorelai saying “i don’t think i ever really loved anyone until luke” and “once luke is in your life he’s in your life forever” and luke telling lorelai “i just like to see you happy” after making a big gesture for her (ala ‘and now you don’t have to worry’ after buck got rid of his loft and decided to sublet eddie’s house).
