the idea of adam having a car is so funny to me. bc he's SO inherently a public transportation king. but........logically......he must, if he's tailing lawrence across town.

so. in my head, it's 100% some rinky dink gray '96 mazda that he bought for like. five hundred dollars and half a klondike bar off of craigslist. he's probably only had it for three weeks TOPS.

shortly after purchasing this lemon of a vehicle, adam discovers a crumpled pack of newport 100s under the passenger seat. he doesn't even smoke those. but he goes "ah ha ha, don't mind if I do" and pockets them anyway.

also. the most valuable thing in this vehicle is $3.57 in loose change dumped haphazardly in the center console. and all the coins are sticky and gross bc he spilled an energy drink all over the fuckin thing 0.2 seconds ago. his glove compartment is stuffed w/band fliers. if he's ever pulled over by a cop, he's definitely handing one over accidentally in place of his registration.

had he not been tossed into that bisexual bathroom; he would've woken up to a very different kind of disaster. sticking the key in the ignition only results in the car giving a defeated wheeze.

For someone who claims to be his best friend, Chrissy sure does seem to enjoy his constant suffering. She must— why else would she practically pry him out of his studio apartment this afternoon herself to make sure that he went on this date?  A date for whom he doesn’t even have a fucking name. Chrissy had grinned like a Cheshire Cat when he’d asked, her reply ominous and terrifying:  “You’ll know him when you see him. Trust me.” All he’d wanted was a quick coffee date: just something to appease his best friend that he can wrap up early enough to still have the rest of the day to himself. Call him a cynical fatalist, but the parade of absolute duds have left him feeling a bit more jaded lately. And the one person he is interested in is—  Well, it doesn’t matter. All that matters right now is getting through another blind date, assuming that they show up.  It's not looking great.

Earlier today on my way home I felt sleepy while driving so I decided to grab a coffee at Starbs. Heck, I don’t remember the last time I had Starbucks coffee prior to this, and as a coffee enthusiast, it felt weird. it's the frappe mix made by barrismo exclusively sold by aldi. i ordered this off of doordash for $5.60 (it might be cheaper in store) but when I tell you this is SPOT ON to the equivalent starbucks flavor it comes in caramel and java chip too so you definitely got options.
