Note
If you like Jason Isaccs as Captain Hook, may I suggest you see him as the main antagonist of Netflix's The OA? Season one could be a stand-alone story if you wanna watch just that. To me that was the peak of his carrer as a sexy tormented villain in love with the good girl.
You must be new here.
Okay, jokes aside - The OA is actually one of my favorite shows. Ever.
I got into it the summer it was cancelled and I still haven't fully recovered from the heartbreak. To this day, I can still remember the date, time and location where I heard about the cancellation . . . because Brit Marling used my artwork to break the news to Instagram. 💀
Tldr ; it is a very special piece of media. I don't think I'll ever find another show that blows my mind the same way this one did.
#And yes ; Hap was my favorite character in the show. Remains one of my favorite characters in anything ever#The 'Hap is your shadow' line still haunts me#What did Elodie mean by that#is Prairie doomed to having Hap trailing after her in every single dimension? (I hope so).#trashtalk#anonymous

Baldur's Gate 3 Original Character: Laila Izacke
Basic background
Name: Laila Mariya Izacke
Race: Human
Age: 24
Profession: bard
Religious affiliation: Loviatar
Alignment: neutral evil
Explanation of her name
Laila- I wanted to give her a dark themed first name and I settled on Layla due to it meaning ‘night’. I want the name to have a meaning without it being over the top, so I am not going to call her something like Nightshade. I don’t like the spelling of Layla, which is why I settled on Laila, as I feel that this is the version that is pronounced in a very similar way. It is only after I settled on her name that I realised how similar it sounds to Isela. This then give me the idea that they are really two sides of a same coin. I created them as a possible OC for Baldur’s Gate 3, and they are both bards. However, one is of an evil alignment (due to very selfish) while the other is a much nicer person (Isela will probably be neutral good, the direct opposite).
Mariya- I wanted to somehow have her middle name include Tav but the only other option seems to be Gustava and I just do not like the name. As a result, I choose Mariya as a tribute to Mariya Anastasova, who sang parts of Raphael’s final act.
Izacke- one of the things that I do with my OCs is that I often let their last name be a tribute to the voice actor of their pairing. So in this case, her last name is a variation of Jason Isaccs’ last name. I choose this version because it sounds more fantasy like.
Additional notes
Technically, she is not really a bard, but just someone who plays an instrument and sing. She is not an adventurer and in some version, she will not even travel with the group (ie.not even Tav). She was raised as a rather pampered noble girl who is expected to make a good marriage, as well as being a good hostess for an influential husband. She plays the mandolin because I still want her to sing and even though piano would be suitable, the lack of portability is too problematic. Since Isela already plays the harp, the lute or mandolin is the only alternative. For some reason, I like the idea of mandolin more.
I want her to worship a deity with an evil alignment that is not Bane. Loviatar feels suitable as she is hedonistic to the aspect of doing wild and dangerous things due to knowing that her status and family protects her. Loviatar is also suitable since she is said to be Bane’s consort and Laila might be involved with Gortash. She is possibly drawn to Loviatar because her life is free from any severe problems, so in a twisted way, she would enjoy the experience of such pain.
I spent quite some time debating between lawful evil and neutral evil, especially since Gortash is lawful evil. She is definitely not hedonistic to the stage of enjoying chaos, but I don’t feel that she has much respect for law either. Rather than seeing them as necessary, she regard them as something that is simply there.
I have had OCs that I worked with in regard to all three of the evil alignments, but Laila is the first that is actually being evil and cruel due to simply having a selfish nature. My other three OCs, if they had the chance, would have been able to live fairly peacefully, with their evil on a more minor scale. In addition, all three of them had undergone some sort of suffering to result in a ‘it’s me or them’ attitude. But Laila grew up without any major issues and she simply does not want to be kind due to being entitled.
Biography
Laila is the second daughter (in addition to an elder sister, she would at least have one elder brother above her), which means that not only is she not the heir, she won’t be the first daughter to secure an alliance via marriage. Her family is very wealthy and influential, as well as having been in the nobility for quite some time. Even though her family can be unscrupulous, they are an affectionate family. While her father does intend to engaged her to someone who can bring him advantages, he would not have made her marry someone she hates.
Laila would have had a typical noblewoman’s education, where she was expected to be a good wife and hostess. She probably has an especially extensive knowledge in music due to her affinity for it. Prior to the game, she would be engaged.
Version 1: Laila’s father decided to have her marry Gortash since he would be rather wealthy and influential. In addition, it would have been more acceptable to marry a second daughter to him. Laila would be attracted to Gortash and what happen to them would depend on which Dark Urge I use.
Version 2: this is a cliché but I like the idea of how an evil character can be semi-reformed. This is going beyond the evil’s exception, because she will be nicer. In this version, she is engaged to Wyll, but does not like him at all. Either due to being forced to travel with him due to being ‘Tav’ or just due to meeting up with him and somehow communicating with him, she would end up loving him and become a slightly nicer person. While she is still not that great a person, she is nicer due to wanting to make Wyll happy.
The illustration
I choose red and black because those colours seem to be associated with Loviatar and Bane. Since I already have two Baldur’s Gate OC that are brunettes, and two that are red heads, I decided that she can have black hair. She is wearing multiple rings to represent a possible version of her post BG3 fate, where she will marry multiple times as a way to gain power and entertain herself. I especially put ‘smirk’ in as a keyword, because I want to show her as rather cocky.

Hello! first of all thank you so much for this blog it's truly a pleasure and i love all your posts 🫶 secondly i saw that ask asking for more villain/hero romance or ships with woman of color so i wanted to recommend the ones i found!. (Also thank you so much for updating it i can't wait to watch daniel isn't real, it looks AMAZING)
1) Francis & Reba from Hannibal. They only have a few scenes in the last season though
2) Michael & gabriel from star trek discovery. ( A Jason isaacs role without a problematic obsessive character?? not happening lol). Only in season 1
3) Marta & Ransom from knives out. Now even though they aren't canon at all. The actors do have INSANE chemistry.
Hello anon! Thanks to your reccc I downloaded Star Trek Discovery.
It's been a few years since I've heard of Jason Isaacs on this one of the HOAP shippers. Hoap is the name of the ship for Prairie/Hap from Netflix's The OA, which is basically one of my all-time favorite villain vs heroine ships and Jason Isaccs plays the villain.
I'm only one episode 3, but the ship is already giving off Hoap vibes, which is very promising.
As for Knives Out, I was kind of disapointed by it not being canon cause the villain was really hot. They kind scratched on some sort of sympathy from him towards the main girl when he hears about her backstory and I really wish they had invested more on that.
THAT KISS THO
I've always been resistent against watching Hannibal because Hannibal/Clarice was one of my first ships and ever since I knew that the Show hits on some gay vibes between the title character and the detective. Watching it would be basically torturing myself by watching a rival ship, but now that you've said there are some villain/heroine juice on the last season, I might watch it just for that.
Thank you for the recs, Anon! <3

Hello hehe im the anon from before! I really like Sareth, i do like kisshu and ichigo from tokyo mew mew, etc, i dont mind it its one sided as you can see xD, i also watched brotherhood of the wolf because i saw an ask where you talked about it and oh boy the brother sure was interesting, anyway just wanna say i love your blog again and im always happy to see you post stuff =)
DOWNLOAD/STREAM LINKS INCLUDED
Gottcha ya! One-sided, incestish and yandere ships coming on!
A few weeks ago I've compiled ships that are similar to Sareth. If you wanna check it out, here is the list.
Most of my yandere villains can be found on the Love Makes You Crazy tag in my villain x heroine blog.
As always, I recommend my Starter Pack for villain x heroine shippers.
But since I rarely meet another shipper craving to ship an antagonist brother obsessed with his sister, I'll give you these specifics reccs:
Flawed by Kate Avelynn
James protected Sarah from their abusive father and took the beatings on her behalf, sacrificing his life to save hers, if only she keeps one promise: never to leave him. It’s so tragic I was in tears when it ended.
It's a short novel and you can read it in just one day. Maybe the only flaw in Flawed (LOL) it's the protagonist's love interest, the Bland GuyTM. You can skim through his chapters without a problem.
This is a particular obsession of mine.
Princess Daisy
A twisted fairytale about a modern princess's struggle for independence from her brother and his fatal love. Rupert Everet is so good at playing the tortured antagonist who is held hostage by his desires.
If you ship this, I really need to know, because it's Obscure Ship(TM) and I've been obsessed with it for 3 years. You can download Part I and Part II on the link.
The Slingshot
In the blink of an eye, Kim Shin loses everything dear to him. His father's company goes bankrupt, his brother commits suicide, his girlfriend leaves him, and he himself ends up in jail for a crime he didn't commit. While in prison, Shin learns that all of this was brought about by corporation head Chae Do Woo, who devised the scam that brought down his father. Determined to beat Do Woo at his own game, Shin sets out to get revenge, no matter the cost.
Chae Do Woo's little sister, Eun Soo, is the yang to his yin. She has a kind heart and has pledged to help everyone whose lives were ruined by her power-loving father and her equally uncaring brother.
Eun Soo is the only person who matters to Chae Do Woo and acts as some sort of sanity anchor to him. As she starts to drift away from her brother to help Kim Shin, the focus swift from Kim Shin and his former girlfriend to Do Woo and Eun Soo and gives the audience more subtle hints that Do Woo feelings might overreach brotherly love.
I wish I could send a stream, but I can’t find a single one with nice subtitles. Maybe I’ll buy the DVD myself.
The OA
Prairie Johnson, an adopted young woman, resurfaces after having been missing for seven years. Upon her return, Prairie calls herself "the OA", has scars on her back, and can see, despite having been blind when she disappeared. She assembles a team of five locals to whom she reveals her life story, involving an obsessed scientist and a human experiment.
IT'S NOT INCEST, but it's as stalkish as it can be. All I've recommended so far it's from very obscure and old material, but The OA has a fandom for it, so I thought I'd give you a little break from rare ship hell.
Also, Jason Isaccs plays the villain so what else could you ask for.
Bit of advice: season 1 is flawless and stands well on its own. Season 2... not so much. Watch with low expectations.
The Juror
A juror in a Mafia trial is forced to convince the other jurors to vote not guilty by an obsessive mob enforcer. He stalks her at the same time he tries to protect her from his employees, which reminded me a bit of Kishigo.
I've often said that I like when the villain challenges the girl to become the greatest version of herself and through his twisted way helps her find her own inner resilience. And when she unconsciously recognizes this despite her hatred.
This movie (and book - check the book later if you can) nails that.
Honorable mentions:
These are wincest villains like the brother from The Brotherhood of the Wolf who didn't get many scenes, so keep your expectations low.
There are amazing concepts behind both ships, so I felt obliged to mention:
Harper's Island (It's a "who is the killer" mini-series, so avoid spoilers)
Hellboy 2: The Golden Age (Magically bonded, royal twins. Sister is yin to brother's yang. Honestly, what is not to love)
#answered#villain x heroine#I can't believe I've used this as a shameless ship recruitment for my rare i.n.cest ships

Dune Regarder Film - https://dune-vf.blogspot.com/

Dune Guardare - https://dune-ita.blogspot.com/

The Weekly Roller
Here is your weekly update from the friendly House Elf. Apologies that it's a day late. There have been weather issues.
There are no Completed Works this week, but there’s been a lot of writing going on.
Completed Chapters!
The next chapter of Once There Was A Wish, Part one of the Once There Was A Wish series is complete and has been posted. This series is about the events and characters of the Wish Realm.
Chapter 5 Series: Once There Was A Wish Location: https://archiveofourown.org/works/14731190/chapters/34051997
The next chapter of Forgery - has been finished, but not yet posted. Part of the Once Upon A Crime series, which spans season 7 as various characters wake up. The series focuses on the crimes retold through the episodes of OUAT. This story begins in the past, but soon catches up to the events surrounding Belfrey’s arrest.

The first chapter of Granted, a new story which is a follow up to Snow Bunnies, has been written, but has not yet been posted. This story begins where Snow Bunnies left off, and the first scene is the same, but switches perspective. You probably will want to have read Snow Bunnies before reading this.
Title: Granted Follow on from Snow Bunnies Works In Progress
Being back to a regular schedule means that all of the fics being worked on are works in progress. If you want to catch up before the next update, now’s the time.
Awake - This borrows the concept from the TV show Awake, (with Jason Isaccs), adapted to Once Upon A Time, (and is NOT a crossover). Difficult to summarise in just a couple of sentences, the best advice is… read on AO3.
Welcome to Storybrooke - Gideon returns to Storybrooke and has to fulfill his own destiny as well as trying to fit in to a place where he was once unwelcome.
Forgery - Part of the Once Upon A Crime series, which spans season 7 as various characters wake up. The series focuses on the crimes retold through the episodes of OUAT. This story begins in the past, but soon catches up to the events surrounding Belfrey’s arrest.
City That Never Sleeps. - This story is part of the Growing Up series, which answers people’s desires for a series based on the Gold family and their adventures. In this part of their journey, Belle and Rumple are on their way to New York with Gideon to spend some time settling in to their lives away from Storybrooke and prepare for their long adventure as a family. Rumple has another motive, however, which he tries to keep from Belle until a group of visitors reveal themselves, forcing him to tell her everything.
Title: City That Never Sleeps Series: Growing Up Location: https://archiveofourown.org/works/19069642
Hopefully completed chapters will be posted two or three times a week, but this will depend on how much time is allotted to writing.
* Weekly Roller posts are made by the House Elf, who is much better at advertising than I am and insists that it must be done.
