We removed the sleeves from vintage Japanese kimono jackets (called haori) to create a long tunic vest that adds a Japanique accent to your style.  The cap sleeve look, the vintage fabrics, the versatility (belt it or not).....these vests are fun, up-cycled fashion!

A  stand out accessory to "summer-ize" your work wardrobe. Our Japanique Boutique Scarves are created using salvaged fabrics from vintage Japanese kimono.  Each is one of a kind, crafted to showcase the designs of the Japanese aesthetic. Because it’s two-sided, you’ll get different effects depending on how you wrap or drape it. Side one features florals and maple leaves (momiji) brightly shaded in turquoise, gold and orange against a deep, dark blue background. Side two is a subtle jacquard of cording, tassels, clouds, and seigaiha (overlapping waves) in a bright, bright orange. Made entirely with vintage kimono fabrics.

Tightly woven pattern of a forest filled with tiny trees - and not the pine, bamboo or maples that we typically see. These are deciduous trees, woven in reverse when seen on the back side. There's a bit of shimmer to the silk threads, but it is likely a silk blend because of the weight which is a bit heavier than a silk garment would be. Cotton lining on the shoulders only. Includes a matching sash made from the shortened hem fabric. We have modified a woman's vintage kimono slightly to create this Japanique Boutique Robe. Shortening the length to 45" makes it easier to wear as a robe or cover up. These also look great worn open as a kimono-style tunic jacket.
