Aloha from the Alola region!
A month and two weeks ago my dad found a limping Jangmo-O while riding his mudsdale and caught it with a towel to bring it to a pokecenter, but now it won't leave us alone! We released it back to where it was when he found it but it comes back every time! (*´-`)
It doesn't try to hurt us but it scrapes itself on our door and house all day and doesn't leave. It's been drinking out of the rain collector and eating from the community garden. The nurse said that if it wanted to hurt us it would have already, but I'm getting worried about how determined it is. It even tried to get in through the pet door and would have if it didn't lock! We don't have any pokemon besides mudsdale ,and she lives at a pasture with other mudsdale, so it can't hurt her thank goodness! We tried contacting the pokecenter and Aether foundation but they both told us either we could catch it or they could take it back again.
I like the little guy and want him to be where he'll be happiest and healthiest but he comes back EVERY TIME! It was scary enough when it followed us home the first time but now I'm worried the little guy won't go back at all!
based on what you've said here, i think this guy was raised by humans and released. it's not an unusual thing with young dragon types. people often raise dragons from the egg thinking it'll make them easier to tame, only to release them when they still turn out to be too much of a handful. i'd hazard a guess that this guy has just gotten to the age to the age where he should be butting heads with other jangmo-o and clanging his scales together.
unfortunately, jangmo-o really need to be raised in a group and live with other jangmo-o to survive in the wild. but this guy thinks that humans are his social group, so he's trying to hang out with humans. he probably doesn't even know where to find other jangmo-o, since they live in areas isolated completely from humans. he's likely going to need to be in captivity for the rest of his life if he's going to have a chance at long-term survival.
in this case, sending him to the aether foundation or giving him to the center to find a home for him will be the best thing for him. he'll be much happier in human care.

Round 2 of my Christmas and winter themed Pokecember drawings!
Jangmo-o is looking the swankiest in his little scarf but since he's one of my favorites I might be a little biased.

I love Jangmo-o's shiny, the yellow and pinks go together so well. Unfortunately, this was one of the shinies I failed because it's outbreak disappeared, so I had to wait weeks for another one. Thankfully, I did get a shiny in the next outbreak, and then another one several months later, which was nice.

Heyyy, greetings from Alola! I’m a somewhat-newbie trainer here on Poni Island, and I’ve been trying my best to raise my own team. Right now I have a Froakie my mom got me while she was in Kalos, a Dartrix professor Kukui gave me, and a Vulpix I caught last month. I’ve been doing my best to take care of them, and I love my team dearly, but I noticed something today. Scales of Hakamo-o and Kommo-o are pretty common around my area, and most of the time people are advised to stay away from them, but I saw that the scale had left an egg behind when they moved. I got the egg to a Pokecenter to get it a proper incubator, but now I’m worried what’ll happen when it hatches. The lady at the Pokemon center reassured me the egg was healthy and that it would hatch properly, but I’m more worried about raising it. My dad is a doctor on Ulaula Island, and he’s told me to grab a few books on caring for Dragon types, but I’m just not sure. I don’t know if I’m ready to take care of a future Psuedo Legendary. Should I release it once it hatches, or should I follow my dad’s advice and try my best to take care of it?
to be honest, if you aren't fully prepared to take care of and train a pokemon like a jangmo-o, it'd be better to release the baby. they're really difficult pokemon to care for, and some of the best trainers with one of the jangmo-o line are people who prepared for months for their high energy needs. they're loud, energetic pokemon that need a lot of opportunities to train to be happy, and they train by headbutting each other. if you have a single jangmo-o, you have to be prepared to handle all of the scale-clanging and attempts to take your shins out.
jangmo-o are able to walk around and eat from birth, so they can be released pretty much immediately. however, they won't survive in the wild without the protection and socialization that a scale of its peers provides. i'd recommend talking to your local rangers about getting their help releasing the baby when it hatches, since they should have an idea of where the scale is hanging out and can facilitate a safe, low-stress release.
