A lot of Nodal pairings in the media are star-crossed lovers.

She's Swati. He's Ashwini.

Such as 1968's Romeo & Juliet, which is a Rahu-Ketu destined pair.

Olivia Hussey has Magha Moon, Ashwini Sun while Leonard Whiting has Ardra Sun.

In the retelling of this tale, Romeo Must Die instead has a Ketu-Ketu pairing. Starring Magha Moon Aaliyah and Ashwini Sun Jet Li.

And in 2013's Romeo & Juliet, it is now Rahu-Rahu. Ardra ASC Hailee Steinfeld plays Juliet while Swati Moon Douglas Booth plays Romeo.

Then this trope resets back to Ketu-Rahu in the animation Gnomeo & Juliet, in which Ashwini Sun James McAvoy voices Gnomeo (Romeo renamed) and Shatabhisha Sun, Ardra Moon Emily Blunt voices Juliet.

Hailee Steinfeld, again, in this trope, but lesbian. In the series Dickinson, Susan Gilbert and Emily Dickinson are exclusively a Rahu-Rahu star-crossed lovers pair, with Sue portrayed by a Shatabhisha ASC native and Emily by an Ardra ASC native.

The film Brokeback Mountain also has this star-crossed lovers trope. Heath Ledger had Ardra Moon and Jake Gyllenhaal has Mula Sun.

In the film Through My Window, Raquel and Ares couldn't be together for all three films (the worst films you'd ever watch) without their social backgrounds getting in the way. Raquel is played by an Ashwini Sun native and Ares is played by a Mula Moon native.

In the film Meet Joe Black, Joe Black & Susan Parrish are literal starcrossed lovers. They are both played by Mula natives.

In the upcoming film Queer, Shatabhisha Sun, Ashwini Moon, Swati ASC Daniel Craig and Swati Sun Drew Starkey are star-crossed lovers during the 1950s.

In the film, Call Me by Your Name, Mula Sun & Magha ASC Timothee Chalamet and Magha Sun Armie Hammer play star-crossed lovers.

In fact, a lot of gay/lesbian centric love stories tend to star nodal people!!! Whether the characters are star-crossed lovers or not.

Such as the film Blue Is the Warmest Colour which stars Ardra Sun, Mula Moon native Léa Seydoux and Shatabhisha Moon native Adèle Exarchopoulos.

I'm currently drafting an essay touching on this deeper. I simply made this post as a foundation for further connections. Also I don't want to make it as if I think Rahu-Ketu, Rahu-Rahu and Ketu-Ketu are interchangeable. I just find it interesting that nodal energy is always present in this trope. I have to set apart the differences and lessons within each pair.

Also this just made me realize why this trope is my fav and why it deeply resonates, even though Romeo & Juliet are so unserious to me. With great writing, the best nodal tension ever is created. 💀

Bring on Autumn! Lacey Chabert, Jodie Sweetin and Ashley Williams Lead Hallmark Channel's Fall into Love Lineup

His & Hers, starring Chabert and Elliott, will premiere on Saturday, Sept. 7. According to the official synopsis, the movie will tell the story of "married couple Dana (Chabert) and Mark (Elliott)" who are "high-powered lawyers at two separate New York City law firms." "They soon find themselves on opposing sides of a messy divorce between two reality stars, Sammy and Brett. When both clients are unable to compromise, Dana and Mark are headed for a courtroom showdown that results in tensions infiltrating their otherwise happy household," the synopsis teases.

Jodie Sweetin and Corey Seiver lead The Heiress and The Handyman, premiering on Sept. 14. Per the network's description, "After losing her fortune, June Waltshire (Sweetin), an heiress moves to a rural farm where she mistakes her handsome neighbor Bart Hudson (Sevier) for the handyman. Bart and June form a friendship and work together to reclaim her family’s fall fair legacy, taking on apple pies and the livestock parade. As they prepare for state fair domination, they learn a lot about each other’s lives."

Extra note here, this movie is premiering August 29 on Hallmark Movies Now.

Falling Together — which is set to premiere Sept. 21 — brings together Ashley Williams and Paul Campbell. According to the movie's official logline, the movie will tell the story of Natalie (Williams) who "just relocated to Pittsburgh for work and is eager to become part of her new town." "While exploring her surroundings, she comes across the perfect opportunity for involvement and joins the Walk to End Alzheimer’s as a volunteer," the description continues. "Meanwhile at home, her efforts to bring the building residents together as a community have fallen flat, and Mark (Campbell), the prickly super, advises her to leave well enough alone. As the two spend time together while Natalie continues her quest to win over her neighbors, she and Mark become close and a spark begins to grow." Just when it seems like the two have built "harmony," the synopsis teases "things unexpectedly unravel. Disheartened, Natalie focuses her time and energy on the Walk which just may be the path to healing and happily ever after."

Premiering on Sept. 28, The Real West stars Kimberley Sustad, Lucas Bryant and James Denton. Per the network's synopsis, "A family vacation to a working Ranch introduces Professor Rebecca (Sustad) to Jake West (Bryant). Rebecca is a widowed mom of two and Jake is a handsome cowboy who never settled down. The only complication is that Jake’s not exactly the available type."

Erin Cahill and Wes Brown team up for Autumn at Apple Hill, premiering on Oct. 5. "Based on the book by Angie Ellington. Newly divorced, Elise (Cahill) is renovating an inn that she inherited from her grandparents," the synopsis reads. "When Luke (Brown), CFO of a major hotel chain, arrives in town, she does her best to scare him off… but Luke just might be the best person to help her restore the Inn at Apple Hill to its former glory."

The Fall into Love lineup concludes with Janel Parrish, Dominic Sherwood and Cassandra Potenza starring in Haunted Wedding, premiering on Oct. 12. Per the movie's logline, "Amateur ghost hunters Jane (Parrish) and Brian (Sherwood) are looking forward to their upcoming wedding at a famously haunted inn, until their plans are disrupted by unexpected polter-guest Angelique (Potenza) – a ghost in an 18th century wedding dress, who mistakes Brian for her long dead fiancé."

In addition to all the new fall feels, viewers will see the return of The Cases of Mystery Lane: Death is Listening on Sept. 13 on Hallmark Mystery. Fans will also be treated to A Sprinkle of Deceit: A Hannah Swensen Mystery on Oct. 4.

Cal Beats Stanford in Big Splash

#2 Golden Bears Finally at Full Strength in Win

BERKELEY – With all their players back in the lineup for the first time since late September, the national champion California men's water polo team defeated 4th-ranked Stanford 12-8 on Saturday in a comfortable wire-to-wire victory.

Four-time All-American Nikolaos Papanikolaou made his 2023 home debut on the Big Splash Senior Day, dominating on both ends and tying for game high honors with three goals on three shots to go with four steals and four drawn exclusions. Roberto Valera also finished with three goals, adding two assists and a pair of field blocks.

Fresh off winning the gold medal with Team USA at the Pan American Games, goalkeeper Adrian Weinberg returned from a five-game absence and looked sharp from the outset. Weinberg had four saves and a steal in less than four minutes of play, while Max Casabella, Valera and Albert Ponferrada all connected on their first shot attempts to get the Golden Bears (19-4, 3-3) out to an early 3-1 advantage.

After making his sixth save in the final minutes of the opening period, Weinberg got it out to Papanikolaou on the counter. The two-time reigning national player of the year calmly lofted it in off the inside of the far post, putting Cal ahead 4-2 and giving him his first goal at Spieker Aquatics Complex since he scored seven in last year's national championship game.

The Bears continued to keep the pressure high from there. Nik Mirkovic jumped a passing lane for one of his two steals on the Cardinal's (14-7, 2-4) first possession of the second quarter, leading to a second straight counterattack goal, this time by senior co-captain Garrett Dunn. 

Stanford fought back to cut the lead to one goal, but Papanikolaou secured his brace with a signature strike, whipping in a ferocious, no-look backhand to make it 6-4 heading into halftime. Weinberg finished his outstanding opening half with 10 saves, two steals and an assist.

Cal pulled away in the third quarter with goals by Ryder Hagan, Jake Howerton and Jake Stone. Papanikolaou and Valera later sealed the win with back-to-back daggers in the fourth period to cap a 4-1 Bear run. Valera added one more in the final minutes, shooting from way outside into an empty net.

With the win, the Bears head into the postseason with the second-best record in the MPSF D-I West standings. They will host next week's MPSF Championships as the No. 3 seed, opening the three-day tournament against No. 6 Penn St. Behrend on Friday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m.
