dae's older sister was born just two years before dae, but as soon as dae joined the picture, they were inseparable. some would say that sun hee took care of dae like he was her own son, and she did at times. dae appreciated everything his family did/does for him and to have a built in best friend/confidant/protector in his sister was the cherry on top for him.
they stayed in seoul for ten years after dae was born, but when his mother's family threatened to take dae and sun hee from them, they moved away to liverpool, where an uncle of min joon was located.
dae loves art, especially painting and sculpture. since being at hogwarts, he's learned how to develop his skills in both magic and art and how to use both for his creative outlet.

little women, ep. 1
When I first watched the trailer for Little Women, I was intrigued by the premise of struggling sisters navigating the mystery around a huge amount of money, and how it changes the lives of these three “little women” in the midst of big people with power, connections, and wealth. It’s not entirely a new concept, but I am such a sucker for kdrama sister portrayals that this was a no-brainer addition to my to watch list.
Sure, one can first get caught with matching the characters and scenarios with the Louisa May Alcott source material (who’s the Jo? the Amy? the Meg? the Laurie? etc.), but by the second half of the first episode, you get the sense of considering the story on its own.
And it’s good. It’s so good! I don’t expect myself to be able to sustain an entire series review, but Id like to be able to take notes along the way. It feels like it’s going to be a great watch ahead, and I just want to make something out of my excitement. That said, be warned that the series in itself has a lot of violence, which might come up in these recaps, hence the tw tag.
We begin with our three sisters: the Meg, the Jo, and the Amy. Poor Beth, no counterpart in here. Or maybe there’s more we don’t know, because mysterious baby picture, anyone?
Among everyone, it’s Kim Go-eun that I was really looking forward to the most. I have never watched her past dramas, but I’ve been itching to see any of her work, and I felt that this role might just be too good to pass. I love the seeming naïveté of her Meg, whose Cinderella fantasies of getting married and being whisked away from poverty translates fittingly into our series’ Oh In-joo, dowdy green vest and tacky tulle skirt included. At home with her sisters, though, she can be straightforward and determined behind the smiley and meek behavior she shows outside.
When she cried upon seeing the contents of the duffel bag her friend, Jin Hwa-young (played by Choo Ja-hyun), left her, I felt as if we were witnessing only the initial unraveling of her character.
Nam Ji-hyun as Oh In-kyung is also riveting. This is my third Nam Ji-hyun drama and the other two had her as the childhood-friend-and-fated-endgame of a wealthy amnesiac. Here In-kyung is barefaced, buttoned up, but not quite sober. She’s an investigative reporter with a deep empathy for people, and a righteous understanding of the pitfalls of wealth.
I loved her scene with Great Aunt Oh. They’re just having breakfast and talking, but the way this was set up made me wonder if we’re supposed to look at how In-kyung was influenced by her aunt despite not having had the warmest upbringing.
Great Aunt also meddles in her love life, and we see the Laurie for this series, too. It’s Kang Hoon as Ha Jong-ho. When they met each other under aunt’s ruse of bringing a mistakenly delivered package, we understand that there’s history between them. In-kyung is at the tail of a highly tense investigation, and we can wonder how this might affect their relationship as the series moves forward.
I don’t have much to say about Park Ji-hu’s Oh In-hye just yet, except that I can certainly understand her wanting to make her own money after seeing her sisters toil to provide for their family. She’s ambitious and gritty and I cannot help but wonder where the story will take her character, especially with her association with who seems to be Park Jae-sang’s wife and daughter.
Wi Ha-joon is another actor I was excited to see in this series. I thought his character in Romance is a Bonus Book was compelling enough. His role as Cho Do-il is obviously different so I also cannot wait to find out more about him.
It seems orchids is a recurring motif in this show. From trying to google ‘princess of thieves orchid’, I saw some twitter threads on the repeating symbolism of this flower on the show. Since I’m behind watching, I didn’t read too far and suspended spoilers. Anyway… too many orchids. From the orchids in the office in the 14th floor to…
the blue orchid tattoo…
the wallpaper in Hwa-young’s apartment (excellent mirror-threshold blocking, by the way)…
a blue orchid beside her fishtank…
and a blue orchid brooch on the suit of Park Jae-sang (played by Um Ki-joon). Yikes… Personally, I think orchids are also an appropriate motif in a tight environment of power and wealth. Orchids are expensive and requires a lot of precise care.
I cannot wait for the sisters to tie up the associations together. The context surrounding Hwa-young’s death becomes even more sinister in light of In-kyung’s investigation on the four money-related suicides from the Bobae Savings Bank Case.
Finally, what will In-joo do with the money that landed on her via yoga locker? Director Shin Hyeon-Min is after the slush fund, and it seems In-joo is in it now, too. Not to mention, she signed an account opening form for Hwa-young, so it seems like the money in the bag is not all there is to it.

Little Women | Trojan War Theory
Little Women is walking through the story of the Trojan War.
It’s been pretty clear the influence of Greek mythology that’s been present throughout the symbolism, set design, and characters, but after collecting it all it’s now clear that this all ties into one particular story. The Trojan War. Here's an analysis of the two stories and how Little Women is following this narrative thread.
The Plot
The Trojan war was between the people of Troy and the Greeks. It was orchestrated by Zeus who wanted to reduce the population on earth – specifically, his demigod children that were rapidly growing out of hand. In essence, Zeus was trying to cover up his indiscretions. The finer details of the Trojan War are that Helen of Troy was whisked away and seduced by Paris, causing the war to start as Helen's husband went looking for her. Near the end of The Trojan war, Hypnos, one of the children of Night and twin to Thanatos, tricked Zeus into falling into a deep sleep, at which point Hypnos was able to tell Poseidon the coast was clear so he could aid the Greeks. The Trojan War ended when the Greeks feigned a surrender, snuck a wooden horse full of soldiers inside the city of Troy as a token of their victory, and attacked the Trojans in the middle of the night.
Little Women is a war primarily between the Oh family and the Jeongran Society. It’s being orchestrated by somebody who is trying to gain power and is attempting to kill off his indiscretions. This fight initially started when Hwa-young stole the 70 billion and died/ran away (?) The Oh sisters, with assistance from others, are now trying to stop the Jeongran Society and expose their cruelty to the world.
Now, for the characters.
The characters
Park Jae-sang is Zeus:
Zeus orchestrated the Trojan War in order to wipe out all the many demigods that he felt were overpopulating the earth.Zeus also had an unending love for power and wanted to be the top dog. Park Jae-sang is obviously the instigator of most of what is happening here and, with his lust for power and desire to be president, it’s clear he is acting as the Zeus in this story. Additionally, his capacity for killing people that he views as superfluous fits the motives Zeus had in the original story.
Hwa-young is Helen of Troy:
Helen of Troy is what causes the whole war to start. By her capture/elopement (there are different accounts) by Paris, it causes her husband cash in on a promise that his friends would go to war with anybody who hurts her. One of the accounts of Helen during the war is that she went into hiding in Egypt, and that she had Hera fashion a likeness of her while the war was happening and she watched from the sidelines. After the war ended, Helen eventually returned to her husband Menelaus. Hwa-young is the catalyst in this story for why the war between the Oh sisters and Jeongran society is taking place. She also is in hiding during this war, and has also created a false identity like Helen did. Much like Helen in the original story, she is the reason the events take place, but remains absent through most of the fighting and action.
Do-il is the Trojan Horse:
In Greek mythology, the Trojan Horse was a wooden horse that hid Greek soldiers as it fooled the Trojans and entered the city of Troy. After infiltrating Troy, the Greeks left the horse, open the gates for the rest of the Greek army and were able to conquer the city, thus ending the war. Do-il is this Trojan Horse - the vessel used to infiltrate the enemy. By Do-il leading In-joo into this high class society of IOS, taking her to Singapore, protecting her, paving the way for her, and teaching her all the things she needs to know, he's acting as the vessel for her to take them down from the inside. A Trojan Horse.
In-joo is the Greek soldiers hidden inside:
The soldiers hid inside the wooden horse that was lured into the city of Troy when the Trojans thought they had won the war. The horse itself was supposedly a token of victory for the Trojans. However, once inside the city, the soldiers inside waited until nightfall and leapt from the horse. Attacking their enemy, they also opening up the city gates that allowed the rest of the Greek army inside to make their attack. In-joo is the one infiltrating the enemies lair. She’s the one who is going to the heart of enemy and pretending to work with them -- waiting to attack. By joining the orchid society and working for Sang-ah, she’s like the Greek soldiers inside the horse, secretly being led inside without them suspecting. Her weapon of choice being the ledgers.
In-kyung is the rest of the Greek army that invade once the gates are down:
In-joo will be the one to prepare the way to the heart of the enemy and unlock the gates, but In-kyung will be the one to bring the rest of the fire to destroy the city. With her report on the Jeongran society and all it’s corruption, it will be a final blow to the Trojans that will win this war.
Hyo-rin and In-hye are the twins Hypnos and Thanatos:
Hyo-rin as Hypnos:
Hypnos and Thanatos were twins who represented Sleep and Death. Hypnos was the human embodiment of Sleep and was linked to his mother Night, and his twin brother, Death - also known as Nox and Thanatos. Sang-ah has a picture of a female version of these characters, Night and Sleep, in her bedroom that we see in episode 7. With Hyo-rin’s reliance on sleeping bills, it’s clear she is representing this character. During the Trojan War, Hypnos ended up tricking his father, Zeus, by putting him into a deep sleep. After Zeus was asleep, he warned Poseidon who was able to help the Greeks get to Troy and win the war. Given Hyo-rin and In-hye's recent antics to get dirt on Park Jae-sang, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Hyo-rin trick her father once again so he gets justice - just like in the Iliad.
In-hye as Thanatos/Greek Soliders:
Thanatos was the brother of Hypnos and was the personification of death. Given In-hye’s fascination with death, her paintings, and her ease at talking about it, it’s clear this is the character she is representing. Thanatos also worked as an ally of the Trojans at one point during the war, so given In-hye is living in the Park home and seemingly helping Park Jae-sang, this also fits that character. Thanatos doesn't do much in the Trojan war other than retrieve the body of one of the fallen soldiers and stay by Hypnos's side, so it's a bit unclear how much of this character they'll pull from for the story Little Women. But In-hye could also be considered as part of the Greek soldiers along with her sisters - the three of them making up the army.
Sang-ah is Night (a.k.a Nox):
Nox or Night is the personification of night. Homer calls her the subduer of gods and men, and relates that Zeus himself stood in awe of her. In the ancient cosmogonies, Night is one of the very first created beings, for she is described as the daughter of Chaos. Sang-ah is the daughter of the general, who was there from the beginning with Jeongran Society. This general is the reason Jae-sang married her, and Sang-ah has also been secretly scheming in the shadows, under the guise of night, for a long time. Night being known as the subduer of gods and men also reflects how Sang-ah has been quietly tricking all the men in her life -- pretending to be a dumb, materialistic airhead and not the psycho, genius, mastermind she really is. Night is usually depicted as being a winged creature, so it’s interesting to see at one point that Sang-ha not only wears a winged ring, but that she literally has a photo of Night and Sleep in her bedroom. Also noteworthy is that Nox, Hypnos, and Thanatos all live in the underworld together. Which, in this case, is the Park house, where In-hye, Hyo-rin, and Sang-ah all live.
Looking forward
In the end, the trick on Zeus and the Trojan Horse are what allow the Greeks to win the Trojan War. So I think the characters of Hyo-rin and Do-il are going to be a lot more critical than we may have initially realized. With Hwa-young being the Helen figure in the story, I think it's likely that if she's still alive that she'll remain hidden. There's potential that given Helen wanted to return home, we could see In-joo and Do-il intentionally turn a blind eye per her request so she can disappear and return home (Singapore) for good.

[📰] [ENTREVISTA | INTERVIEW] P1Harmony 피원하모니
By BA NA NA
October 2020 arrived with one of the most anticipated male debuts in the music industry, P1Harmony 피원하모니, whose performance marked FNC Entertainment’s first boy group four years after SF9.
In BA NA NA we have been able to speak with P1Harmony after their successful debut with DISHARMONY: STAND OUT and the premiere of an apocalyptic film that has shown different facets of its six members. They have told us about their experience preparing for debut, some of their hidden talents, or what it has been like to debut at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Do you want to know what they have told us? Keep going BA NA NA!
KEEHO, THEO, JIUNG, INTAK, SOUL, and JONGSEOB are the members of P1Harmony, the new boy group from FNC Entertainment that was performing on October 28, 2020 with their first mini album. However, their music debut with DISHARMONY: STAND OUT did not come alone, and before we were presented with the movie P1H: A New World Begins.
The film came with the boys as the leads, but also with the presence of CNBLUE’s Jung Jin Young and Jung Yong Hwa, AOA’s Seolhyun, Jo Jae Yoon, Choi Yeo Jin, Lee Chae Yoon, and cameos from Jung Hae In and Yoo Jae Suk. It premiered at the beginning of October to let us know the universe of P1Harmony and that they later developed in their debut video clip, SIREN.
Thanks to that we were able to get to know them better and prepare for the beginning of their professional career. In the P1Harmony interview exclusively with BA NA NA they tell us about the process of recording this film, its debut, and its objective. Do not miss it!
We have known your music debut with DISHARMONY: STAND OUT,, but before that we were able to see in you in the film P1H: A New World Begins. How was the experience? Any anecdotes you’d like to share with us? Will we be able to learn more about the concept of the film in your future projects?
THEO: I am more than happy to debut with a film. It was the very first-time filming and acting for all of us. We were really nervous. In the film, the drones represent the disharmony of society which is related to the albums that we’ll show in the future.
SOUL: I wanted to film a movie since way back, so I was very happy to film it. When I first went to the movie set, I was so nervous because it was my first time. At the time of filming, the weather was so cold that I had a lot of hot packs, and by the end of the day, at least three of them were in my pocket.
It’s been four years since we met a new boy group from FNC Entertainment and we’ve known about your debut for a year. How was the debut process? How has it changed your life?
JIUNG: In the debut process, everything was a part of my first experience, so I was very nervous. I was especially nervous when filming, but now that I think about it, I think it was part of the learning process. And in the case of changes in life, as I started working, I felt more responsible. After our profile and videos were released, many people were interested in us and left comments which made me realize that I’ve really become an idol. I felt more responsible.
You all participated in the creation of the album by writing some of the songs. How was it? How did the ideas come up?
INTAK: Not only me, but as well as all membes including JONGSEOB was able to join in writing lyrics for our songs in our firstr album. We were very honored and thankful to our company. When I’m working on writing the lyrics for songs, I tend to focus on the material. For example, in the case of ‘Nemonade,’ I thought of keywords which were related such as lemons, freshness, and square. In the case of ‘Intro: Breakthrough,’ the words were walls, surrounded by and I’ve tried to look for more as I worked on writing the lyrics. I also add on what I have in mind when writing lyrics for the songs.
Any artist can’t forget their debut. What moment do you think you will always remember?
JONGSEOB: I think it was the day of our debut showcase. It was the day when P1Harmony officially had our debut and it was a special day where we were able to showcase different stages including our title track ‘SIREN’ which we worked hard for.
You debuted just a month ago, and there are sttill many ssecrets to discover about each of you. Do you have any special skills? (Cooking, playing an instrument, sports...)
THEO: I can play a little bit of piano and guitar. I did not formally learn it or take lessons, but I was very interested in music since I was young, so I’ve naturally learned it while looking at it. In case of sports, I’ve learned swimming, bowling, and volleyball.
JIUNG: I think it would be cooking. I try to cook when there’s time, but sinnce we are performing these days it is hard to cook. However, I remember that I used to cook and eat a lot before. For musical instruments, I can play a bit of piano and guitar. When it comes to sports, I’m good at Frisbee! I remember getting praised a lot for good throws in the past. (Haha)
2020 has been a year marked by COVID-19 at a global scale. Many artists and musical professionals have not been able to meet with their fans. How have you dealt with it being your debut? Have you been able to reach your fans in another way?
KEEHO: It’s really sad. Performing in front of fans has been my dream and it currently is up to now. However, due to the current situation where it is difficult for us to meet, I try to find alternative ways to communicate with our fans through our SNS, lives, and video call fansigns, and etc.
Let’s talk about the future...what would you say ir you goal as a group and as individuals for each of you? What is your dream?
INTAK: I think our goal as a group is to convey good influence to the world. As an artist who really wants to convey our meaning and message to the world, I hope that people will be able to be influenced positively through our songs and albums. My personal goal is to be a great person who will be remembered in history.
SOUL: Our goal is a group is to look good, but I hope we can work longer than other teams. My personal goal is to win first place in dance battle.
Can you send a message to your fans in Spain?
KEEHO: I wanted to say thank you for supporting us from afar and loving us. We’ll continue to show our best. Please look forward to it. If things get better, we would like to visit Spain and perform in front of you all. We love you.
JONGSEOB: Hi Spanish fans! Thank you for supporting and loving us from afar. We will work hard to show you how we develop so please stay tuned for us. If things get better, we would like to meet you in person and perform for you! Thank you for loving us from Spain and me, JONGSEOB, and P1Harmony loves you too!

MEKA Roles and Design
So I’ve talked a bit about these new MEKA designs with some friends, and I’ve been seeing people asking for a bit more depth to the analysis of their design features, and how MEKA would work as a team unit! So with my love of all things fictional engineering, I decided to take a crack at it. Going from L > R I’m gonna talk about different noteworthy aspects of their designs, and how that’d reflect their roles in a cohesive unit.
Jae-Eun: Casino So the first things first is the streamlined, almost jet-esque design of Casino. Paired with it’s light artillery and slender design makes me think that Casino’s purpose is high speed precision fire- taking down specific targets and threats rather than handling swarms of enemy combatants. While the team focuses more on crowd control and cutting down numbers at large, Jae-Eun is sent to focus down things like disabling enemy artillery or other important weakpoints in a giant Omnic.
Yuna: D.Mon D.Mon is by far the bulkiest MEKA of the bunch. With Heavy armor, plenty of thrusters, and a larger cockpit fitted with an additional display, Yuna (in classic Red fashion) leads the MEKA squadron as their strategist and close quarters brawler. D.Mon has strength in defensive force and durability, and with it’s lack of visible ranged weaponry, probably fights on the actual Omnic itself as an infantry trooper. The additional display is to coordinate information from Overlord without clogging up her own visual field in combat.
Hana: D.Va We know plenty of D.Va’s kit already from playing her, but putting her in context of her team really shows how varied Hana’s kit is. She’s got CQC shotguns, longer ranged damage missiles, a powerful defensive matrix, and strong thrust that keep her in good pace with fast enemy omnics. This suggests a generalist responsible for team coverage and supportive pressure. She helps her team’s damage engage upon the enemy and cover their weak points. This also explains why her MEKA is so uniquely responsible for it’s high number of solo-kills: it’s got a little bit of everything in it.
Kyung-Soo: King King seems to be the ranged damage that contrasts Casino’s quick burst fire. With a heavier focus on King’s Micro-missiles, as well as longer, more rifle-like fusion cannons, King’s design suggests fighting more from a distance, laying down suppressive fire and shutting down large areas and clusters of enemies. With what looks like the basic amount of thrusters King is not a fast-moving MEKA, but holds a lot of influence over the field, much like his namesake.
Seung-Hwa: Overlord With Overlord’s large fan blades, multiple deployable drones, and a nose-mounted defense matrix, this design seems best adept for staying in static aerial positions, and observing the fight from the distance. Overlord can stay up in the air without burning thruster fuel and can monitor enemy movements and report them back to D.Mon. The Matrix mounted on the nose only protects the cockpit if the incoming damage is coming from an upward angle. Very combat-light, as there’s no real visible artillery on Overlord’s design; Seung-Hwa’s responsible for shot calling target positions and keeping their team out of harm’s way.
Needless to say a lot of this is just pure speculation and built around just what I think these designs are best suited for. But it was still fun to think up these anyways! Hopefully we’ll eventually get to see MEKA fight as a complete squadron, and I can see if I even got half of it right.

Hello there! Can you write a scenario where jumin thought he had protect or shield mc from getting shot or an accident but at the last minute mc turn the table around and protect him instead. She almost died but survived. After the incident jumin gets more possessive, clingy and protective of mc because he was traumatised of almost losing her. Can you make this angsty and ends it with a fluff ♥
This is the first request I’ve done so I’m kinda excited!! Thank you!!
This ended up being longer than I originally planned so I’m going to divide it into three parts.
I hope you like it! :)
Part I Part II Part III
Avaricious | Jumin Han X MC
“Oooh, look at that dress!” MC grabbed her husband’s arm, pointing towards an excessively bejeweled dress in a shop window.
Jumin chuckled. “Do you want it?”
“Oh, no. It’s beautiful, but I can’t imagine a situation where it would be appropriate to wear. Besides, it probably weighs twice as much as I do.”
Jumin smiled, wrapping an arm around his wife’s waist and pulling her closer to him. It had been a few months ago that MC had begged him to go shopping with her. He didn’t really understand the point of it when he had already given her full access to his bank account, but he eventually caved to her pleas. He had never particularly enjoyed shopping. Perhaps it was because there was no limit to what Jumin could buy, but he had always considered shopping to be a chore. However, he found that shopping with MC was actually quite fun. Even if neither of them bought anything, he got to spend time with her, watching her eyes light up as she pointed to the pretty clothes in the windows. This had become a favorite pastime of the two whenever Jumin got some extra time off.
“Oh, I just remembered. I need to stop by the tailor’s to pick up a suit,” Jumin leaned closer to MC, trying to speak over the city noise. “It might be a bit of a wait so if you’d rather me do it later, I understand. I could always get Driver Kim to do it for me.”
“No, go ahead! I can just look in the boutique a few stores down.”
Jumin frowned. “By yourself?”
“Yes, by myself,” MC gave her husband a look, “It’s really close. Less than thirty seconds from the tailor.”
Jumin sighed deeply. “MC…”
“Jumin, I’m an adult. I survived before I knew you. We’ve been over this.”
The couple had a brief staring contest. Finally, Jumin glanced away, letting out a huff of amusement and shaking his head. “I don’t know why I even try… Okay. I’ll meet you there when I’m done.”
MC beamed widely, standing on her tip-toes and pressing a chaste kiss to Jumin’s cheek. “Thank you, love.”
Jumin pulled her into his side, pressing his lips to her hair. “Be safe.”
—
Jumin tapped his foot impatiently, waiting for the worker to finish helping the other customer. They usually had two or three employees on shift, but he supposed most of them had already gotten off considering how late it was getting.
The man was snapped out of his thoughts by the buzzing of his phone in his pocket. He fished the device out, glancing at the contact.
MC
His brow furrowed. Why would she be calling? Perhaps she was asking to buy something? He had already told her that, unless it was something ridiculously expensive, she didn’t need to ask. Jumin accepted the call, stepping away from the counter as he answered. “Yes, love?”
“…J-Jumin?”
Jumin felt his stomach sink. Something was wrong, he could tell by the waver in her voice. “Yes? Are you alright?” He began, already starting to walk to the front of the store.
“Y-you need to co-come to the alleyway. Th-the one by the v-vacant store that’s f-for sale.”
Jumin’s pace picked up, his heart beating quickly in his chest. “What’s wrong, do I need to call for security?”
“No. Come a-alone.”
The man’s heart clenched as he heard her choke back a sob. “MC, please, what’s the matter?”
“I-I can’t—”
The call ended.
Jumin swore under his breath, breaking into a sprint as he pushed the store doors open, hurrying down the sidewalk.
He knew the place she was talking about. It was an older building that had been vacant for as long as he could remember. Sitting at the very end of the strip of stores, it formed an alley between itself and the restaurant next to it. How MC ended up four shops down from the place she had been headed to, Jumin didn’t know.
The sidewalk cleared up as he approached the end, most people heading home for the evening. Soon enough he was the only one to be seen in the area.
“MC?” Jumin’s heart was pounding against his ribcage as he skidded to a halt in front of the alley. “M-MC?” he called, squinting into the darkness. Suddenly, two figures emerged. Jumin felt like the breath had been knocked out of him. A tall man in a suit had his wife by the throat, the barrel of a gun jabbing into the soft skin under her jawline.
The man gave a rough chuckle. “Jumin Han… Funny seeing you here.” There was something familiar about the man’s voice, Jumin noticed. He had heard it before. “Look, I’m going to make my proposition simple: agree to sign the contract with my company, and you and your lovely wife can continue on your date. If you choose not to comply with me, well…” He pressed the gun further into MC’s skin and she whimpered, “whether it be now, or in a few weeks by the hands of one of my men, you can bid your wife farewell.”
Jumin clenched his jaw, struggling to stay composed. He recognized the man now. Jae-Hwa Seong— the owner of a dying company that had been begging to work with him. Due to some shady scandals in his company’s past, Jumin had declined the man’s pleas. “I refuse to talk with you when you’re holding my wife at gunpoint. Let her go, and we’ll talk about how I can help.”
The businessman snarled. “Are you an idiot? Just agree before I shoot your wife!”
“J-Jumin, don’t—hm!” MC’s cried became muffled as the man used the palm of his shooting hand to cover her mouth, the gun still held tight between his fingers. Jumin felt the slightest bit relieved that the gun wasn’t pointed at her anymore.
“Don’t hurt her, okay? We’ll work something out. I-I’ll um… we can give you a loan maybe, or—”
“You bastard! Why can’t you just say you’ll— Ow!” the man let out a sharp cry as MC bit the base of his thumb, hard. As he stumbled back, MC shoved him away from her, collapsing into Jumin’s arms.
“MC, oh gosh, darling…” Jumin caught her in a tight embrace, keeping a close eye on the man. “Get behind me, now.”
“Jumin—”
“Now!” He pushed MC behind him, still holding onto her with one hand. He felt relieved to have her in a safer place, but he knew they were both still at risk.
The man turned back to the couple with a growl, gripping the gun tightly with his now bleeding hand. “You bitch!”
“MC, run,” Jumin murmured.
“What? No! I’m not leaving you!”
The man pointed the gun at Jumin, flames of fury dancing in his eyes. “Agree to work with us!”
Jumin’s voice was cold and relaxed, his gaze unwavering. “That choice is not up to me alone. You’re wasting your time.”
MC gripped the back of her husband’s shirt. “Jumin, be careful!”
The man growled. “Do everything in your power to get my company help! I know how much influence you have!”
Jumin’s eyes narrowed. “I will not be won over by empty threats. Now please, put the gun down and we can talk this out civilly.”
The man’s face was twisted with rage, his hands trembling. “Say you’ll do it!”
Jumin motioned for MC to run, his heart pounding in his chest. “I told you, it’s not my decision to make! The others would never allow it! Now, please, Mr. Seong, unarm yourself.”
“No! I’m tired of letting privileged sons of bitches like you walk all over me!” The man waved the gun about wildly, his eyes bulging. You don’t know what it’s like to actually work to build your company up! You had a job secured for you the minute you were born, how could you?! You’re damned, all of you! Damned! I might not get the honor of watching you burn, but I’ll sure as hell send you off!” His hand froze in place, and he pulled the trigger.
MC didn’t think. As if in a daze, she shoved Jumin to the side, trying to cover as much of him as she could with her body.
The gunshot still echoing in the distance, the couple collapsed to the ground.
Jumin winced as he pushed himself up, rubbing his head where it had hit the ground. “M-MC?” He blinked rapidly, trying to focus on the sight before him. He felt his blood run cold, a wave of panic washing over him. “MC!”
His wife’s torso was collapsed on his legs, a puddle of blood pooling around her “No… no no no no no no no…” Jumin rolled her over, staring in horror at the crimson stain spreading across her blouse. “No… no….” He let out a shaky breath, grabbing her face. “Darling, please, MC!
MC stared up at Jumin, blinking slowly. “J-Jumin?”
“Oh my gosh, thank god, just— just stay with me, okay?!” He grabbed his phone with shaking hands, his gaze fixed on his wife. “Hello? I-I need an ambulance… My wife… She’s been shot…”
“Can you tell us where you are?”
“In the alley next to the vacant store on Broad Street. Near the C&R building. I-I think the address is 3429?”
“We’re sending ambulances right now. Be sure not to move your wife too much, that could make things worse. Just apply light pressure to the injury to slow the bleeding until we get there. Make sure to keep her awake. Someone should arrive in less than ten minutes.” The woman on the other end sounded calm. Too calm. Did she not realize what was at stake? Jumin wondered. Did she not realize the most precious person to ever exist in Jumin’s life was fatally injured?
Jumin frantically pulled off his jacket, pressing it against the bullet-wound. He winced when MC let out a soft groan of pain. “You’re going to be fine, darling, okay? You’re going to be fine! J-just keep looking at me!”
MC blinked groggily, her eyes going in and out of focus. “A-are you hurt?”
“No. You s-saved me. You—” Jumin choked on sobs, wiping the tears from his eyes.
MC forced a smile through her pain, giving Jumin’s arm a weak squeeze.
“Just stay with me. D-don’t close your eyes!” He pleaded through cries, gently brushing the hair away from his wife’s face. “Please, love. Be strong, the ambulance will be here shortly, okay? Please… Please don’t leave me…”
That’s it for part one! I’ll add the link to this post when it’s up :)

@pepi-nillo
Yes!! I totally agree with everything you've said. Dong Sik going to Jin Mook's house as an intermediary was definitely partly so he could keep an eye on what Jin Mook's planning and because he wanted to protect Joo Won. (and because it would've been weird if he didn't go)
I do find it interesting that Jin Mook chose Joo Won to be his guinea pig. Obviously, I believe Ji Hwa was starting to suspect Jin Mook and Dong Sik. Jin Mook got the vibe, so he decided to change lanes to twist the narrative in his favour. I think Jin Mook saw the influence and determination Joo Won has and concluded that he is an idiot. A gullible, foolhardy idiot. He only saw all of Joo Won's negative traits, believing he could manipulate him.
I'm not 100% sure if it did work tbh. Joo Won didn't seem to be completely swept into Ji Mook's games but he wasn't completely suspicious of him either. Considering the context Joo Won has been given, it makes sense that he wouldn't suspect the victim's father. The only person who would add any evidence to suggest Ji Mook has done any wrongdoing is the man Joo Won has been suspecting for 10 months... who's been playing mind games with him for 1 of those 10 months... so, he's not going to fully trust him (but at the same time, joo won can be sooo blind... cause of his traumas)
Don't get me wrong, I love my man Dong Sik. He means so much to me. But Eps 5-8 Dong Sik frustrates me (a little) because I feel like he could have communicated with Joo Won in a much healthier manner that would have been beneficial to him and the case.
(imagine if he had this conversation earlier?? before it got to the point where he had to make very sad promises. I don't blame him, I just think it would have been interesting) But... I know he's traumatised and doesn't trust Joo Won to follow the necessary steps, I know, I know. His reasoning is 100% valid and sound...
(hjw man.... see the trauma pls for once just see the trauma. see the man not the suspect!!! i'm begging you!!) BUT DAMN! I understand Joo Won's frustration and desperation towards the end. He clearly wants to know, he wants to follow protocol (to an extent), he wants to know for the right reasons... soooo???? Then when Dong Sik does tell Joo Won, he only does it because Jae Yi is in trouble and he just info dumps on him. (major tangent here: I think the time between episodes 1-4 is something like 7-14 days in the canon. So, it only took Joo Won over a week/maybe two to conclude that his 9-month-old presumptions about this 20-year-old cold case are wrong. I think that's pretty impressive. Considering how hostile Dong Sik became and how much Joo Won struggles with other humans... I think he doesn't get enough credit for how quickly he changed his mind about Dong Sik) Good thing Joo Won proves that he's trustworthy (and for Jae Yi supporting Dong Sik in moving the plot along), otherwise the story probably wouldn't have gone anywhere.
They would still be in the basement just going around in circles saying "tell meeeeeee now" and "what if i don't wanna??" (and then kissing like idiots)
(idk maybe i'm too soft on joo won. i've been on his "side" since day 1, i never had to adjust to his character. i laugh at him 24/7 but i always see where he's coming from)
I don't really know what my point is anymore. Let's just enjoy the pretty screenshots/gifs cause I'm not really making sense. Anyway, thanks and bye!
what i love about the episode 6 basement scene is Dong Sik's reaction to Jin Mook asking for Joo Won's number. He looks taken aback, uncomfortable, and scared. there's even an audible sigh. i love that despite what jwds put each other through, even in the early episodes there were moments of them showing genuine consideration for each other (especially Dong Sik -> Joo Won)
#you said it better than me#i just added pics#beyond evil replies#off topic tags:#i have a feeling ppl aren't going to agree with me on this post#(joo won deserved that egging but... sometimes y'all seem too quick to label him as stupid and useless and it's just factually untrue)#(i know it's mostly just joking around but... yhh)#here i go again making it about han joo won UGH... someone stop me

Opportunities
Richie was in the back parking lot of the dive bar he’s frequented most during his stay in this town. Quiet, used for staff and for the bands playing, but he “negotiated” in place whenever staff came out to say things like “You have to reserve that spot.” Dumb stuff.
Speaking of quiet, the only thing he could hear was the occasional passing car, and the muffled music coming from inside. Not even muffled, he could only make out the drumming. He took it as an opportunity to practice his bass, so he’d been spending that time adding his own melody by ear. It was nice. It was quiet.
At least, until people started yelling. The back door of the bar slammed open. Richie tried to keep his melodies going, but it was somehow harder to hear the music with the door open. He closed his eyes to focus his ears better. No luck. “hHhhhhh fuck it,” he said, and started riffing his own melody based on whatever he felt like playing. The people outside were kicking someone out of their band.
“You’ve cost us another gig, I can’t believe you!” Said a girl’s voice. Loud, rightfully pissed. It was almost funny. The boy they were all angry at pleaded for another chance. But damn, Richie didn’t even have to open his eyes to know the guy was clearly high. Guess that was band business. Can’t play under the influence, or at least under too much of it. Richie sent out a small, non-religious-specific prayer for the guy, who needed rehab. Looks like someone’s driving him home. It got quiet again, and Richie could hear the muffled drumming again.
That, and someone walking closer to him. He kept playing, eyes shut. The steps stopped a few feet away from him.
“Can I help you?”
“Woww,” the voice of the previously angry girl revealed itself in a much sweeter tone, and Richie opened his eyes. “You play with your eyes closed often?”
“Sometimes,” he smirked. The girl was very pretty. Her most discernible features were probably her eyes. Even in the moonlight, they were a deep brown that glistened. Her hair was in box braids, save for her hairline, which was styled in a wave-shaped pattern. She had several piercings on her ears, and one on her eyebrow. Richie gasped. “Holy shit!” He’s seen this girl before! He felt like hitting himself with the world’s biggest “Duh”. That’s why that bar was so familiar, he’d seen it in his dreams before!
The girl was taken aback. “Uhh..”
“Oh, sorry,” he said. “I’ve just seen you perform before.”
“Oh,” she smirked. “I didn’t know we had fans.”
“Don’t let it get to your head, I never said you were good,” he joked, looking back down at his guitar. She gave an exaggerated pout. She lowered herself to his eye level.
“You seem pretty good, though. Pretty big coincidence too.”
He looked at her, curious. She smiled. “I’m guessing you were listening to our conversation just now?”
“It was hard not to,” Richie replied, smirking. She shrugged.
“That was our bass. Long story short, he’s cost us one too many gigs due to circumstances, and refuses to get proper help.”
“Damn, that sucks.”
“Yeah. Good thing his parents live in this area. They’ve been waiting for an excuse to force him into rehab. Saved up money for a few months, too. Of course, we’re paying them back for trouble with our sales-”
“Hold it, you don’t have to dump everything on me. I’m glad you’re getting your friend some much needed help,” he said, unenthusiastically. “And I’m guessing the point of all this is that now your bass spot is open?”
“That’s right!”
“Pass.”
“Aww, come on, please? We’ll do icebreakers and everything. You’ll be paid, too! And you’ve got skills!”
“Let me do a little bit of dumping myself. Due to my own circumstances, I don’t mix well with the public eye. It’d be bad business.” Richie looked over as two more people walked over, clearly hearing the conversation. There had to have been a foot difference between them. The taller one was a frail looking guy with a turquoise mohawk, and covered in tattoos. The smaller one was a plain looking girl, but the neckline on her shirt was low enough to reveal the tip of a large tattoo going near her chest and shoulder.
“Running from the law, or someone dangerous?” The tall guy asked.
“Technically, both,” Richie smiled.
“Psssh, lame,” the man mocked. “I’m banned from two states. What’s your excuse?” Richie sighed. This was getting annoying. He stood up.
“As much as I’d love to hear your stories, I’m insisting that you reconsider your offer.”
“I’m sure we can run from the cops if you’re so worried.”
“Oh, it’s not the cops I’m worried about,” he gave a menacing grin. He pointed at his bright red tattoo. “If I told you everything this is associated with, you’d be going to the cops yourself.” Oh, they looked nervous now. The girl in front of him took a step back, and the tall one looked like he was about to start swinging. “Now that you know, I’m going to say goodnight, and wish you good luck in finding another bassist.“ They just stared at him. “... What?”
“I mean... It doesn’t look like any supremacist symbol I know,” started the tall one.
“Oh please, they come up with new symbols all the time. It’s tough to keep track.”
“It’s not a supremacist symbol!” Richie said, a bit offended.
“Oh... Then there shouldn’t be a problem!” The tall one smiled. That set him off.
“Oh for Xemug’s sake --I don’t want to join your fucking band!” Richie yelled. He put a fist to his mouth and muffled an angry scream, kicking himself for saying the X word, as the people in front of him started laughing.
“Xemug? What, you part of a cult or something?”
“Yes! .. Well, no.. I’m in hiding, but if it makes you leave, then yes!” Before he could get inside to his rv, the tall guy swing an arm around him, and dragged him off towards the big, black bus sitting in the lot. The others followed. Shit. He wasn’t wearing the guitar strap, so he couldn’t even let go to get his hands free and hypnotize the fucker! “Where are you taking me!?”
“Uhh, to hang out? We wanna hear your sound!”
“This can’t be legal, this is kidnapping! How the hell is your grip so strong? You look like you weigh 90 pounds!” He just laughed. The two girls walking behind them giggled. “Are neither of you going to help?”
“Nope!”
“We’re accomplices,” said the short girl.
“Ugh,” Richie said, giving up. This must be why Daniel looked so negative all the time. Forced interactions.
---
“So, I’ll go first,” said the braids girl. “I’m Shailah. I’m kind of the lead singer, but I also play guitar, keys, and the trumpet when it’s not my turn.”
“Don’t care,” Richie said. He was seated across from the three of them. He didn’t even have it in him to hypnotize them and leave. He just felt like being negative.
“I’m Kyle,” said the tall one. “I’m mainly on guitar, but I’ve also done a few solo songs.”
“... So, you both sing?”
“We all get our own solos sometimes,” said the short one. “I’m Jae-hwa. I do keys, violin, and the launchpad.”
“I don’t know what that is.”
“Special kind of key board.”
“We got two guys missing, Duc, our drummer, and Mack. He mostly handles odd instruments, like triangles, harmonicas, banjos, and harps as a few examples.” Richie raised an eyebrow. That was a little impressive. “He doesn’t know how to play bass though, so we need you!”
“And I’m telling you, it’s better off you go find someone else!”
“Oh come on,” Kyle pleaded. “Please? Can you sing? I bet you can sing. You project pretty well, did you do theater? Or choir?”
“Wh- how did you- ...” He sighed. “Both. But it doesn’t matter. I can’t save your lost gig tonight.” Also, as these people couldn’t seem to grasp, Richie wasn’t supposed to be near people anymore. Just because he said he wanted friends doesn’t mean he deserved to have friends that could get in danger!
“Yeah, we know that. But you seem like an interesting guy at least, so we want you on board!”
“How can you tell I’m interesting?”
“Well, for starters, you have your RV parked in a reserved-only spot, and we didn’t see you in the line of performers. And I”d like to know how you did that.”
“Hypnosis,” Richie said, casually. They looked dumbfounded.
“No way,” Jae-hwa said quietly. “Did you hypnotize us?”
“No, but I could if I wanted to.”
“OOOoh, do it on me!” said Kyle enthusiastically. Richie shrugged.
“Okay, don’t blame me if you suffer side effects.” He leaned over the table before Kyle could protest, waved his hand, and snapped. Kyle went slack-jawed, and his eyes went dull. It was a little bit fun.
“You’re listening to my voice only, and you’ll listen to my commands only. The first time I snap my fingers, you’re going to think I’m... Lady Gaga. When I snap my fingers a second time, you’ll act like a chicken. When I say “Apricot”, you will leave the trance. Ready? 3, 2, 1,” He snapped.
Kyle took a minute to blink, and focused his eyes back on Richie. His eyes went starry. He teared up. “Oh my god,” he whispered, choking. “I can’t believe it.” Kyle cupped his mouth with his hands. Jae-hwa and Shailah looked at him in astonishment. “Do you guys see this?” Richie grinned in the most smug way he could.
“Want a Bad Romance?” Richie said, toying with Kyle. Kyle blushed, hesitated, and nodded. “3, 2, 1,” Richie snapped. Kyle was brought to attention. It took him a few seconds to adjust and get some sounds out, but sure enough, he squawked like a chicken.
“Holy shit,” Shailah said. Richie giggled. “There’s no way this is real, he’s just going along with it!”
“Oh really? Apricot.”
Kyle stopped. And then almost collapsed. He clutched his head. “Ohhh, why am I dizzy? What just happened?”
“Boom,” Richie mouthed. “Hypnotism, did you have fun?”
“Uuhh... I don’t... know? It was relaxing... Oh, but now my head hurts. Was Lady Gaga in here?”
“What else have you used this for?” Shailah said, nervous.
Richie thought to himself. “Things I... can’t say I regret. Nothing too serious, just murder.”
“Oh, well that’s good. I was worried there for a second,” she said sarcastically.
“But you don’t... do that anymore, do you?”
“... No. No, I’m trying to get away from that,” he said, twiddling his thumbs. He sighed. “And because I’m trying to get away, they are trying to track me down.” Richie thought about his options. He was kind of bored. He was kind of lonely. Maybe the back up and some gained fame might give him a chance to visit the camp without trouble starting? “Do you still want me in your band?”
“I thought you didn’t want to be in the band,” Kyle said, smirking.
“Yeah, well, you’re fun to hypnotize. But I do have conditions. There are a select number of states I can’t be near, and I’m going to leave without notice if I have to. I can’t guarantee your safety from cultist whack jobs, so you better not cry if they find me.”
“Deal!” Kyle said. “Well, on my end. What about you two?”
Shailah shrugged. “I took self defense classes.”
“I have a pocket knife,” Jae-hwa admitted.
“Very cool, and the other two will... Have to deal with it!”
“No, we should tell them,” Shailah protested. “You know Duc gets anxious. They both should know this stuff.”
“Be my guest, tell them everything,” Richie shrugged. “But if they aren’t back by tomorrow afternoon, I’m leaving the state.”
The three looked at each other. They seemed unsure they wanted Richie in the band now. Well, not Kyle. He still seemed cool with it. It almost made Richie happy. The three nodded.
“Okay then! Salut, good night,” said Richie, leaving with his bass to-
“Oh wait! What’s your name!” Kyle asked.
“Richie, now bye!” And finally, he left. That was tiring. But kind of fun.

November Overview
Monthly Drama Review: November 2018 Jan - Feb - Mar - Apr - May - Jun - Jul - Aug - Sep - Oct
warning spoilers!
Completed:
The Third Charm: If you’ve seen my recent posts, you know how upset I am with this show. What started as a cute romantic comedy turned into a heavy angst drama. I understand that the title is “the third charm,” but the way they treated their female characters mostly Young Jae was terrible. Someone also said this, but if they just focused on Young Jae’s perspective as much as they did with Joon Young maybe more people would be able to empathize with her like what people did with Joon Young. Young Jae lost her parents, her only family AKA her older brother became disabled, her boyfriend neglected her despite reassuring him multiple times, she lost her child, got divorced, her best friend got diagnosed with cancer, and people are upset that she called Joon Young in the middle of the night. She had no one to rely on. If this happened to any of my past friends, I would not mind at all. All in all, love triangles suck and Young Jae, Joo Ran, and Se Eun deserved better than what this show put them through.
The Smile Has Left Your Eyes: The relief I got when they were revealed not to be siblings. I almost thought too with the way things were going! I feel like if I wasn’t so focused on that part, I would have enjoyed a bit more. Every time Jin Kang and Moo Young were together I would think they were cute then remember the Japanese version ugh. Nonetheless, I’m satisfied.
Room No. 9: This was an entirely well thought out show and I really recommend everyone to watch it. What I wanted the most though were Jang Hwa Sa and Eulji Hae Yi working together moments, but the last few episodes definitely made up for it. The transition, although not quick, Eulji Hae Yi makes from being a selfish lawyer to kind human being is beautiful. I didn’t expect much of a romance in this drama, but I was not disappointed, Ki Yoo Jin is a great character and a great influence on Eulji Hae Yi. I cannot stress enough how amazing an actor One is, his character was one of the most interesting and I hope to see him with a bigger role the next drama he does. Also props to the actors that played the younger versions of Jang Hwa Sa and Chu Young Bae, they were beautiful. Definitely one of my 2018 favorites.
Kahogo no Kahoko (Overprotected Kahoko): I need everyone to watch this drama. Kahoko, a 21 year old university student is overprotected by her parents. Her mother does everything for her (to even deciding her outfits), while her dad just lets it happen though he knows its wrong. A guy who is the total opposite of her, tells her how she can’t be reliant on her family and that’s when she starts learning about herself and what she really wants. Her mother doesn’t really change in the end, but you can see that Kahoko has matured and can actually speak for herself. It teaches you about family and how it’s important to be independent. Definitely one of my favorites, wish I watched it earlier. Get tissues though, I cried for about five episodes straight and in the movie too!
Ongoing:
My Only One: These family dramas have to be the most infuriating things ever. Once you think something is going right, they go back to square one. I have a feeling that Dae Ryook’s family might try to find Do Ran’s birth parents and when they do they’ll go back to square one ughhh. Also for some reason, I’m becoming more interested in Mi Ran’s love story with the dentist.
Dae Jang-Geum is Watching: I’m gonna be honest, most of this drama is cringe but Yuri and the food are worth it. The younger sister and the trainee are cute and can’t wait to see their story form.
Fluttering Warning: I don’t know how I missed this drama despite it staring ultimate girl crush Yoon Eun Hye, but I love it so much. This is exactly what I needed after being disappointed by The Third Charm. The male lead isn’t obsessive like the male lead in the Third Charm. So far its really good, and I would recommend this to kpop fans since it deals with South Korean standards on entertainment (mostly when it comes to dating).
The Last Empress: For some reason I thought the emperor was the male lead and was kind of shocked when I thought Jang Na Ra’s character would be with him, but I reread the plot and I’m glad that’s not the case. The villains in this story are such great actors. Shin Sung Rook is a natural while Lee Elijah is stunning with her character glad I get to see her again.
Clean With a Passion For Now: It feels refreshing seeing a new female lead. She’s amazing too, she kind of reminds me of a younger Lee Sung Kyung! The first two episodes were funny, so I’ll try to keep going with this drama.
SKY Castle: Oof I was originally going to drop this, but then I checked what other people were saying about it and was met with lots of good reviews. The people weren’t wrong, I binged the first four episodes and I need more. Definitely for students and parents (mostly students who are pressured by their parents when it comes to education). It says comedy, but there are a lot deeper meanings that make the whole thing enticing.
Encounter: I still haven’t watched the first episode, but I will! This month got a little busy with exams and everything.
Dropped
Children of Nobody/Red Moon Blue Sun: I was going to watch this, but I didn’t want to watch anything super intense.
Top Star Yoo Baek: Watched the first episode, didn’t like it that much.
Feels Good to Die: Not a fan of office dramas.
Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter: The plot is a little weird to me sorry.
Priest
Bad Detective
Upcoming:
My Strange Hero: I looveee Yoo Seung Ho despite not liking the robot drama he did. I also took a liking to Jo Bo Ah when I watched Goodbye to Goodbye. The plot sounds interesting as well. Definitely watching!
Just Dance: Not something I would normally watch, but it looks like it’ll be about friendship and teamwork.
Fate and Fury: I want to check this one out!
Memories of Alhambra: It’s funny cause I used to live in a city called Alhambra lol. Anyways, another drama taking place overseas. Looking at the teasers, they seem interesting. I want to try watching this.
Less Than Evil: I’m kind of tired of detective drams right now, so I probably won’t watch.
