Ao Lie snickered, the sound deeper in his true form. Stars sparkled around them, but none were as bright as Wukong's smile. "You're just on my head."

The monkey on his head shuffled around before that smile was right in his eyes.

"I'm on top of the world because of you," Wukong said gently, reaching out and stroking his snout. The touch lingered, but not as much as his next words. "You are my world."

- Wukong is aro-ace, and has very little care for relationships outside of friendship and his troop, but he’s not against a relationship if the person in question is someone he deeply cares for and admires.

- Nüwa is demi-ace, she’s very open to the idea of a relationship, but it takes her a long while to develop a romantic connection to anyone.

- When they first met Nüwa had no idea who Sun Wukong was, something that offended Wukong in the beginning but would later come to appreciate as it meant that she would get to know the real him and he didn’t have to put up a front.

- They originally bonded via their unique shared custody situation of MK and despite the rough start they both grew to deeply admire the other which eventually led to their relationship.

- Both are very similar in terms of personality, but whereas Wukong is as bold as the sun, Nüwa is subdued like a star.

- Nüwa admires Wukong’s free spirit and he admires her down to earth nature, and both adore the other’s kindness, ambition, creativity, protectiveness, and capacity for love (when either of them gives someone their love, they love wholeheartedly with no strings attached).

- Their favorite pastime is sharing their art forms with each other, Wukong would teach Nüwa how to paint and fold origami, while she would teach him how to sculpt, they also love researching anything and everything together.

- They’re both simultaneously the most intelligent and most naïve person in any given room, largely due to isolation.

- Despite having the combined power to eradicate all of existence, both are terrified of papa mode Pigsy, and it doesn’t help that he usually has an issue with how they try to parent MK.

- Wukong’s nicknames for Nüwa are: My Jewel, Precious Sculpture, Mango, My Star, Starlight, Starbeam, Starflower, Shooting Star.

-Nüwa’s nicknames for Wukong are: My King, My Hero, Peaches, My Sun, Sunlight, Sunshine, Sunflower, Sunny.

- Wukong is Nüwa’s very first relationship, which makes her slightly insecure as she worries she’ll embarrass herself and make things awkward between her and Wukong.

- Wukong was previously in a serious committed relationship with Macaque, and with how bad that relationship ended, he often worries that he’ll end up hurting Nüwa in a similar manner and driving her away.

- This previous relationship is also why he doesn’t use My Queen as a nickname for Nüwa, as that was one of Macaque’s old nicknames, and it holds a bittersweet feeling to it.

- Luckily for both of them they managed to become a powerful couple, as even celestials and demons that detest Wukong admire and envy their love.

Hi, your ask isn't on so I'm just going to do this here, hope you see it. I bought these ones from broadway.com, so not cheap at all. BUT playbill.com has some really nice discounts that you can use OR you can use the TKTS stands in Time Square. That's when you buy the tickets day of from Time Square and just keep your fingers crossed that they have your show that day. They have an app for iphones that's been super helpful for me. Sometimes if you go day of, you can get standing room only tickets too which sucks because you have to stand, but one of my friends got tickets to Phantom of the Opera for 25 bucks doing standing room. Rewatched S4E5 and decided to write out my first draft of Ao Lie returning in the Statue Seal AU.

The ink cleared and he gasped for air.

Real air. He was breathing in real air. Inside the world of memory, the air inside had a certain staleness to it, tinged with a flavor that he had come to recognize as dust-covered ink. This air didn't taste like that. Instead, it tasted sweet, almost too sweet, tinged with the salt of the sea and the gritty texture of... sand?

Ao Lie opened his eyes.

Yeah, yeah, that was sand he was holding. Perfect golden sand. He could hear the calm splash of the waves. Ao Lie barely managed to roll over and nearly fell over again.

Oh gods, had the sun always been this bright?!

The sun inside the scroll had always felt dim, showing how it was a mimicry of the real sun. Except now his eyes were dying because he was used to the dim sun-

A hand wrapped over his eyes, blocking out the sun, as another arm wrapped around his waist and pulled him close, steadying him. "Easy, little brother," a familiar- this couldn't be real- voice crooned. "Easy, little brother, I'm sorry, I should've figured out a better place to do this."

"You can't be real," Ao Lie managed out. One of his hands released the sand to grip the hand holding him. Soft fur, the fur he remembered admiring so much, met his fingers. His body shook, and he was almost embarrassed by the sob that followed. "You're dead."

There was the noise of something running before a gentle hand, even with the calluses, pressed against his face. "He's not dead, Grandpa," the strange girl, the girl with the monk, the girl with his father's sword, said. She sounded near tears. "He's not dead, he's here, you gotta believe me-"

And he had to with that plead, didn't he?

"I believe you," he managed to croak out.

Wukong- Wukong, Wukong, Wukong- spoke again, but it seemed aimed at the girl as he shifted and moved around. "Xiaojiao, I think he's in shock. Can you-"

"Yeah, yeah, I got him."

And Ao Lie found himself on his feet.

He had to open his eyes at that, first looking to his right. The girl smiled at him, those green curls framing her face, looking so much like his sister that it hurt. He barely managed a shaky smile back. He glanced to his left and his heart skipped a beat.

Wukong. His eldest brother in arms. His friend. His crush.

He smiled at him and Ao Lie knew everything was alright.

May I request Wukong looking at Mei and seeing echoes of his dear old friend Ao Lie and slowly realizing that she’s his reincarnation

At first, he assumed it was just because she was his granddaughter.

Ao Lie would sometimes joke about how the fang that stuck out when he smiled was an unfortunate family trait. The hair, soft and silky, was a better trait. Wukong, of course, would agree about the hair and disagree with the fang. It made Ao Lie look charming, and Wukong found himself struck in the heart with how adorable his smile was with that fang, unable to resist the urge to kiss his sworn brother.

Traits were passed down.

Her personality was what made him pause. It wasn't exactly like Ao Lie, it reminded him more of his sister. The same sister once threatened to skin him alive. She also gave the hilarious comment of "You think I'm calm but it's actually more like 'I don't give a fuck'" to a married woman panicking that her lipstick was smeared after kissing her lover.

Still, there was bits of Ao Lie there. She was kind and supportive, in a way that threatened to kill anyone who bothered the people they loved. (Ao Lie was quieter about that part.) She gave off an illusion of being an airhead who didn't quite understand what was going on, which was every enemy's mistake.

The realization hit him then. Sun Wukong was tempted to let the grief overtake him again, but he stopped.

Their time together was one of the favorite times in his long life.

He hoped that she had one of those relationships in her own life, one where she loved the other person so much, but still let go when it came time.

It was the least she deserved.

Jadepeach AU where Ao Lie doesn't get hit with the Samadhi fire and, in the present, he and Wukong are an old married couple, teaming up to train both Qi Xiaotian and Long Xiaojiao.

The family knows that he's still alive, but Xiaojiao always heard that he was "travelling" not living with his life partner/her possible ancestor (it's confusing). But the main thing I was thinking was Macaque's reaction to learning about Jadepeach being married and together and him throwing an absolute Hissy Fit.

Macaque had a chance to repair things after his and Wukong's fight under the mountain. And Wukong, affected by Sanzang and Ao Lie and the other pilgrims, did try. But Macaque, at that point, was too angry and bitter and possessive to allow it.Now he's seeing the consequences, watching Wukong kiss his prince, not under *their* tree which is a mercy, but still eating peaches under the sun.

Macaque making it a personal point to try and put poison in Xiaotian's ear when he trains him. After all, what does Ao Lie do, really?

He shows Xiaojiao how to use her water powers, yes, but other than that?

He's lazy. He's spoiled, pampered. Wukong will actually spar with him when he's not being lazy. What does Ao Lie do?

Wukong: "Hey, rude! Ao Lie keeps me from doing stupid things!"

Ao Lie: "By doing stupider things!"

It could be more fancy. I could make myself be the beast of burden, nothing except a creature and a spoiled prince to be mocked, the audience unknowing but aware of my broken spirit. That's how everyone outside viewed me- the one who sat on his hands and did nothing.

Except my spirit wasn't broken, and I was less willing to sit on my hands than described. I was a fancy horse, treated well. No, no, the main hero was my sworn brother, Sun Wukong.

It started with the river. It ended with me in Wukong's arms, taking in the sight of him up close. He was very beautiful, even with the mountain lingering on him, and he is still very beautiful to this day.

As I was drawing this, an Au occurred to me.

I know I'm behind on my stories but hear me out.

What if Wukong had won against the jade emperor? and that his power not only made him insane, but a real danger?

In this Au, Wukong killed the Jade Emperor and took his power, but to reassert his position he decided to capture and marry the emperor's daughter, Nuwa.

Wukong is an iron-fisted tyrant and yandere, Nuwa is the consort wife who, wanting to protect her son, had to send him to the mortal realm.

She is so trusting of him that she doesn't care if he hurts her, she knows he won't do it with bad intentions.

So while I am taking my lil break from writing, I decided to do some next year planning because I'm bored. It will all be under #next year planning.

Summaries:

AU where to promote his garage chain, Wukong recruits his nephew Red to be a sexy model in the ads. Qi Xiaotian's YouTube recommendations are suddenly full of this one garage chain's ads.

AU where newly powerful Sun Wukong gets way too into his innocent monkey prince act and gets courtnapped. Thankfully, his courtnapper, the Six-Eared Macaque, and his rescuer, celestial soldier Azure Lion, have some cool weapons that Wukong can steal.

Every time a Smiling Critter dies in the factory, they wake up in the cartoon world, sharing a body with their cartoon counterpart. Everyone has settled into this weird new normalcy...until Dogday and Catnap die hours apart.

AU: In the aftermath of the train crash, the Player now finds themself stranded in the sinister Playcare, run by the Smiling Critters and their leader, CatNap. With their only hope re-routing power and diverging the Red Gas, the Player finds themselves allies among the residents, including the sole heretic of the Playcare.

Jadepeach AU where Ao Lie doesn’t get hit with the Samadhi fire and, in the present, he and Wukong are an old married couple, teaming up to train both Qi Xiaotian and Long Xiaojiao.

After successfully leaving the leadership of the Demon Bull clan to his son, Old Bull moves out to the country to retire. A chance meeting with retired chef Zumu Zhu gives the two a new friend and a chance to play matchmaker for their wonderful grandsons. Unfortunately, said grandsons already know each other…and not in a good way.

After their identities are forcefully revealed, the former temp heroes decide that, to send Hawkmoth on a wild goose chase, they have sleepovers together. It is one of those sleepovers where someone asks "Hey, does anyone else get a bad feeling about Chat Noir?"

LMK: Fairytale AU where Long Xiaojiao finds herself as the detective of figuring out who is eating the village sheep. Who is the red bull?

MK has Wukong's and Nuwa's powers, hers mostly her power of creation and her snake form, Wukong's all.

And about Macaque, it depends if the au is poly or not.

If it's just Jadepeach, then Macaque is the king's right hand and most loyal soldier.

If it is Shadowjadepeach, then Macaque is the empress, married to Wukong and confidant of Nuwa.
