Destiny!
I feel like your anons have been so serious lately… so let’s play a game!
For the hypothetical Tomdaya wedding - who do we think are the 10 most famous people who would be in attendance?
Haha you know what? I'm actually working on a game for guys that I might launch this weekend lol 😆 😅 👀
If I'm able to make the finishing touches I'll launch it this weekend. 😉
Anyway....Ahhh the hypothetical Tomdaya Wedding.... 🤭
Which celebrities do I think could be on the guest list?? 🤔 I won't say the "biggest" celebrities... I'll just say which celebrities period that I think would possibly be invited to a hypothetical Tomdaya Wedding:
Jacob Batalon
Robert Downey Jr.
Stormzy
Kamil McFadden
Maybe Amy Pascal?
Maybe Beyoncé & Jay Z?
Lewis Hamilton would be cool lol 🤭
Storm Reid
Timothée Chalamet maybe?
Veronica Dunne
Kadeem Hardison
Who would you all add to this list?

BLACK ENSEMBLE THEATER CONTINUES 2024 SEASON OF AFFIRMATION WITH "THE SALON"
A MUSICAL COMEDY ABOUT LEGACY, LOVE and HAIR
WRitten and directed by Michelle RenEE Bester
JUNE 8 – JULY 28, 2024
Chicago, IL— Black Ensemble Theater’s Founder and CEO Jackie Taylor announces the next production in the 2024 Season of Affirmation: Protection – The Salon, written and directed by Michelle Reneé Bester. The Salon runs June 8 – July 28, 2024 at the Black Ensemble Theater Cultural Center, 4450 N. Clark Street in Chicago. The press opening is Sunday, June 16 at 3pm.
Bernadette’s salon has been a place of refuge, love, and community in Chicago since opening their doors in 1974. It’s now 2024 and the doors may have to close due to financial hardship, major changes in the community and new ownership. The staff must come together and save the salon by any means necessary! Through music, dance and shared experiences, the salon will explore black legacy, black excellence and black hair like never before seen!
The cast of The Salon includes Cynthia Carter (Mamma T), Dennis Dent (Hustleman), Makenzy Jenkins (Erin), Vincent Jordan (Johnny), Jaitee Thomas (Jacob), Rose Marie Simmons (Marie) and De’Jah Jervai (Monique), with an ensemble of Trequon Tate, Jared Brown, Shantina Lowe, Raeven Carroll, Bryan Nicholas Carter, and Kendra Turner. Isaiah Engram is the understudy.
The artistic team is Jackie Taylor (Executive Producer), Michelle Reneé Bester (Writer and Director), Robert Reddrick (Music Director), Reneisha Jenkins (Choreographer), Angie Weber Miller (Set Designer), Denise Karczewski (Lighting Designer), Evelyn Danner (Costume Designer), DJ Douglass (Sound Designer), Jessica Moore (Equity Stage Manager) and Harrison Ornelas (Technical Director).
Music Director Robert Reddrick will lead a live band of Mike Dangeroux (guitar), Adam Sherrod (keys), Oscar Brown Jr. (bass), and Myron Cherry (drums).
Tickets for The Salon are available at www.blackensemble.org, (773) 769-4451 and at the Black Ensemble Theater Box Office, 4450 N. Clark Street in Chicago. Performances are Saturdays at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $56.50-$66.50 (fees included). Valet parking is available for $13 (cash only).

JOHN HORTON IS GUILTY OF ASSAULT
----
But Still Has Charge of More Serious Nature to Answer.
----
In the District Judge's Criminal Court, presided over by Judge Stone yesterday, John Horton, of Blind River, in custody on charges of indecent assault and carnal knowledge, was found guilty of the former charge and sentence will be pronounced when he appears on the second charge on June 29. The mother of the girl upon whom the offence was committed appeared in court and gave evidence. Solicitor McArthur, of Blind River appeared for the prisoner, and the case for the crown was in charge of Crown Attorney Moses McFadden.
Charged with stealing $11 from Thomas Wilson, Samuel Essler appeared before Judge Stone when the court was resumed this morning, and was discharged. According to the evidence the money alleged to have been stolen comprised one $10 bill and two $1 bills. A ten and a one were found on the prisoner, but Wilson could not identify the bills. Essler's mother appeared in court and was prepared to say that she had given her son $11 on the Sunday prior to the day of the alleged theft. U. McFadden for defendant.
William Lappe and Jacob Ponkeri, the latter of the Sault, and the former of various addresses and aliases appeared in court this morning on a charge of high grading. It will be remembered that the trunks belonging to Lappe were taken in charge by Provincial Constable Connor after their delivery at Ponkeri's house on Murray street and both men were arrested.
Solicitor Rowland appeared for Lappe this morning and entered pleas of not guilty, contending that Lappe had already been convicted on a charge of having the ore in his possession at Cobalt, and could not therefore be charged again for the same offence. It appears that the man purchased a quantity of the ore which is very rich and is said to run from six to seven dollars to the pound. and after disposing of at quantity, of it buried the balance. After serving six months in jail he dug up the bur ied ore and brought it to the Sault, where he was apprehended thru the activity of Constable Connor, as related above. Mr. Rowland held that the ore was a quantity of that involved in the original conviction, and for which Lappe had paid the penalty.
Crown Attorney Moses McFadden submitted that upon conviction all the ore in the case became the possession of the crown, and in digging ---- of theft in taking what was not his. The case was threshed out at some length, and finally after consultation with the crown Mr. Rowland 'withdrew the plea of not guilty and pleaded guilty to the charge. Lappe, who according to information in possession of the crown had been arrested former occasions for similar offences was fined $150 and costs, amounting in all to $250.
Ponkori was discharged, Solicitor U. McFadden, who defended him, submitting that he had no knowledge of the contents of the trunk when taken to his home at the request a Lappe.
