He teases you, a lot.

He can be very clingy if he wants to. Coming up behind you, just to give you a big hug.

He likes pda. Holding ur hand,kissing. He doesn't really care whos around.

When going to bed he would want to cuddle w/ you. Also give you little kisses.

He likes to randomly pull you into a make out session. The kiss depends on his mood.

When writing he'll stay quiet. And so you don't bother him. Which he is thankful for. But he wouldn't mind if you looked at what he writes. Or just to sit next to him, or his lap.

He got this look in his eyes, that you can tell how he feels or what he wants. His really expressive.

There are those moments he loves the most. When he sees you smile or hears your laugh. He can't help but to chuckle too and give you a warm smile.

He doesn't feel like he needs to tell you too often the words 'i love you'. He rather show you trough action. But don't get me wrong, he will tell you. Especially if you say it to him, he'll always say it back.

I have this headcanon. He stays alive when he divorces. And dies if not (thats canon). So meeting him in the hotel would be the other way. As a ghost he would keep on 'annoy' you. He doesn't really want to be away from you. And he has no sense of personal space. He would let you leave, but kind of fears you won't come back.

Anyways, back to where i was. He loves you so much. Maybe a little too much.

He can get jealous easily. You just need to reassure him that you only got eyes for him.

His pretty much a horn ball do whatever you want w/ that information

He will listen to ur interests. Oh, and if horror is one of them, he'll want you to watch horror movies w/ him. Or any kind of horror related stuff.

He might randomly jump out from somewhere to scare you. Laughing if he got ya.

He'll sometimes boop your nose and say "boop"

This man can be an asshole but he loves you very much.

A/N: hi, sure! Sorry if it's a bit chaotic but it's 2.30 AM here and I can't sleep so for now, catch some headcanons

To be honest, at first Jack doesn't have the best opinion about and doesn't plan to get closer. He's pretty distrustful toward people and he thinks that your distant and cold attitude means that you think you're better than him. Yeah, he has some insecurities to work through.

Unless you are working together (in school as teachers or you both take care of the hotel or maybe you're both ghosts) or in other way have to spend your time together (or you just really catched his eye) and he has a chance to get to know you better.

If you don't seem to be interested in his company or conversation, he won't impose himself nor take your time ovet the needed minimum

But after some time of seeing him near and hearing his occasional commnents and jokes, you took a liking to Jack and started to open up to him.

At first he was a bit surprised that you just suddenly changed your attitude toward him but he quickly decided that he just judged you too fast.

Despite all his anger issues and other problems, Jack is a pretty sociable and talkative person so he knows how to make you feel more comfortable

Meeting and Dating Jack Torrance

(This was sorta difficult to write since the movie almost exclusively showed Jacks mental decline so I hope these seem somewhat in character for Jack pre-hotel)

- Maybe a few years ago Jack could have argued that he was still a good person: that under his hot temper and penchant for drinking there was still a light at the end of his tunnel. 

- But that was before everything had happened; before his life had spiraled out of control and before the devil had permanently taken up residence on his shoulder. He’d made his fair share of mistakes, he’d fucked up in ways he’d rather not say, and all of that had led him to where he was now.

- Wendy had left him, well they’d “mutually” decided that it was best to split up; though it was certainly more for her and Danny’s sake than his own. She wound up with primary custody over the boy and the house that they’d been living in, and Jack got the opportunity to start fresh. He’d moved across town and gotten himself a decent apartment; a decision which would lead to him meeting you. 

- Jack was 90% sure that you were specifically designed to torment him: that some higher power had decided that it was high time he reaped what he sowed and sent you over to do the job. 

- You were technically a neighbor; though you were more of a window buddy than anything else. You lived in the apartment building on the other side of the street; a duplicate to his own right down to the identical panes of glass which the two of you just so happened to share. 

- Everything about you drew him in: your demeanor, your appearance, the little glimpses of your daily life that he’d catch whenever you left the house or left your blinds open. You were radiant and full of life and on more than one occasion, you’d sparked an intense drive within him; one that would push him to write for hours on end. 

- The two of you bump into each other not long after he moves in; and by bump into each other I mean literally bump into each other. You knocked shoulders with him as you walked past with a friend and you’d stopped mid-laugh to quickly apologize, locking eyes for a split second before you kept on moving. That was all it took to get him hooked.

- First it was passive; a sort of silent acknowledgement that there was an attractive girl living across the street, then it became more serious. He began to notice you more, began to somewhat interact with you; if nods and quick smiles counted as interaction, and as that started to happen, so did his intense infatuation.

- He blamed his feelings on a lack of booze, lack of sleep, lack of sex: he’d been holed up in his room for too long; been writing about phantom women for too long. He was almost finished with his novel and soon he’d be able to take a break and clear his head. After that, you would fade from his mind like mist.

- But that wasn’t the case....

- He’d been dressed in his best suit, carrying a copy of his work out to his car so that he could drive over to meet with his agent and see what the publishers thought of his new book. 

- But luck didn’t seem to be in his favor that day since as soon as he made it to the sidewalk, he’d stumbled and dropped the stacks of stapled papers that were in his hand; months of work now haphazardly scattered across the ground. 

- He closed his eyes in frustration and cursed at himself for not just running out to get his satchel earlier. But, upon opening them, he found his previous anger gone in an instant.

- There you were, kneeling in front of him and picking up the pages, shooting him a polite smile and saying something along the lines of “looks like you could use some help” while he stares down at you in surprise. 

- He gulped and forced a smile onto his face, ignoring the instinctual feelings that arose from seeing you practically on your knees in front of him while he crouched down to help you finish the job. As he did so, he thanked you and internally prayed that you wouldn’t read what was in your hands, not wanting you to come across the female character that was based heavily on “someone you might recognize”.

- Thankfully, you didn’t seem to take notice of the writing and instead focused on making polite conversation, shaking hands with him and properly introducing yourself once the two of you stood up. You talked for a few minutes before he excused himself, apologizing for having to leave so suddenly before saying goodbye and heading off to his meeting. 

- Jack isn’t a shy man but he also doesn’t think that a girl like you would be interested in him so you’ll have to drop at least a few hints before he decides that it’s appropriate to approach you in a more romantic/sexual way. In fact, I think that you’d do a little more than drop hints and would wind up in his apartment; neither of you under any false pretenses as to why you’re there.

- Things would stay casual for a while: he’s fresh off a divorce and you become aware of that not long after the two of you spend a night together so you’re hopeful but not hung up on being his girlfriend; at least not for a while.

- It’s after a few months of on again, off again romps in the sheets that he does finally ask you out; inviting you to join him for dinner later that week. You happily accept; glad that everything is falling into place, and finish getting dressed, telling him that he has your number with a wink before you get up and leave his apartment.

- After that, he lays there and contemplates how he’s drained his bourbon and found something just as addicting. You really would be the death of him …but oh how fun the journey would be.

- Call him old fashioned but Jack prefers not hanging all over you; or having you hang all over him, while the two of you are out in public. Pda is a nice way to be comforting or to show that you’re a couple to skeptic strangers but other than that, he strays away from affection; particularly when you’re in view of others. 

- He might wrap an arm around your shoulders/back or hold onto your bicep while you’re out and about, but he saves pretty much everything else for when you’re in private. 

- Top of the head and temple kisses. 

- Quick pecks on the lips. 

- Deep, passionate, and heated kisses. He loves to wrap his arms around you and keep you close, crushing you up against him and stealing your breath away. 

- Sitting in his lap. 

- He isn’t much of a cuddler but he does; on occasion, let you lay your head on his shoulder/chest or wrap his arms around and spoon you. It isn’t every night but it’s enough to be reassuring when you contemplate if he really loves. 

- Wearing his shirts to bed.

- He rotates between calling you by your real name, calling you baby, and calling you some form of darling; they’re just the pet names that come to mind whenever he needs to refer to you. 

- Being considerate of him. He’s got a pretty chaotic schedule so you’ll oftentimes have to be mindful of when he’s working on his writing or when he’s finally sleeping, etc. 

- Getting to read some of his work. 

- Celebrating with him when he gets published and letting him know how proud of him you are.

- Going to bed and/or waking up alone; unless you're willing to get up early or stay up late. Sometimes you won’t see him for an entire day but that's just something you’ll have to get used to if you’re going to be with him.

- Learning to occupy yourself because he’s legitimately a workaholic who you will not see for hours on end; even if you’re currently in the same exact house.

- Jack likes a woman who looks after him: he enjoys being the breadwinner and having you take care of domestic things so if you’re nurturing by nature and fine with that, the two of you will get along well.

- Getting close to Danny because being Jack’s girlfriend means signing up to be step mommy as well.

- Going to the movies.

- Barbecues.

- Trying to explain this will be like a shot in the dark but you know the way that dads/men speak to each other at parties? That sort of “well” “you know” “I feel ya” sort of talk? He does that and he’ll do it at any get together the two of you go to; oftentimes with you under his arm.

- Camping and/or road trips.

- Taking walks and/or hikes together. I honestly couldn’t tell you why I think that he’d enjoy that sort of thing; maybe cause he borderline dresses like a lumberjack.

- Diner dates.

- Talking about true crime and other morbid things. Listen, I don’t think that Wendy was the only one in the relationship who went crazy for that kind of stuff. 

- Listening to records.

- He’s constantly staring at your ass so don't be surprised if you turn to see him looking or if he seems to not be paying attention while your back is turned.

- Him showing up at your place with flowers because he has to give an apology for one reason or another; or him saying ‘why doesn’t he take you out’ because he feels like he’s been neglecting you. 

- He has points of realizing how he should probably treat you better and spend more time with you and you’ll know when they’ve come because he’ll ask ‘how he got so lucky’ while looking at you in a softer way than usual. 

- He occasionally gets random bursts of wanting to relive his youth; leading to you being dragged around while he drives out to some place he used to go to or dances to some song that played at his prom: mainly because he wants to feel like he has, in some way, shared it with you.

- It might not be obvious but Jack is somewhat insecure and self conscious about his age so it’s always reassuring whenever you subtly show him that you love him just the way he is. 

- Helping him through his addiction problems.

- Dealing with his temper; or not dealing with it. It’s up to you whether you’ll stick around through his mood swings or if you’ll just walk and give him space; either option is valid and entirely your decision. He realizes that he was being stupid later on so you’ll get an apology either way. 

- He can be reassuring when he wants to be but he isn’t the most empathetic person in the world so it’ll probably be more for his own gain than anything else.

- He likes teasing you and making you laugh; it’s the main way he’ll make you feel better when you’re upset or scared.  

- Even though things didn’t work out between them, Wendy is singlehandedly the sweetest and most delightful person you will ever meet. She is more than happy to converse with you and treats you with nothing but kindness. She understands what it’s like to be with Jack so if you’re ever having problems, she’ll be more than happy to help. 

- Jack is a pretty jealous person: he's got a hot temper and tends to be incredibly passive aggression, bordering on threatening to people; and you on occasion.

- He's a fairly protective person: if you mean a lot to him, he’ll do anything he can to keep you safe.

- Jack isn't a very good man. He doesn't have his temper fully under control and tends to snap when he's under pressure so the two of you will have a good number of fights. Its best to just give him space if you don't want things to devolve into insults or yelling.

- He'll come to his senses soon enough and apologize; promising that he's going to try and be better. Whether or not you believe him is up to you to decide.

- Jack doesn't tell you that he loves you very often; it just isn't his style. He'll say it on occasion but don't expect to hear it a lot.

- I can see Jack being sort of hesitant to get married again but he'll be ready at some point and believe me; his choice of bride will be you.

He loves an easily flustered s/o, especially if they try to hide it with there hands, he’s gonna go fucking nuts on the inside. Maybe one day he will admit that it’s cute but it’s only if you have a really strong relationship. And if it is. Then he’ll tease you about how cute it is on how you get so flustered.

When he sees short petite folks. He dies again. Like he wants to protect them and he doesn’t care if you are strong or soft (plus sized) or anything. Honestly you’re surprised that he finds things cute or admits it. But he find it cute if you are getting ready for bed and you wear a onzie the cute little one piece pj’s that zip up. And if they have footies. He’s carrying you bridal style to the bed and cuddling you to sleep. So if you have to pee, good luck he’s not letting go.

Jack Torrance:

If you’re worried about him he finds it so sweet and cute. Just him writing for a long time all day, not eating or drinking. And then you come in with a sandwich and a juice box and you hug him telling him you’re worried and that he needs to eat. And then he finally eats. Not wanting you to get worried also he doesn’t need to be sick.

Pennywise 2017:

If you try to scare them. They will just think you’re absolutely adorable. Just patting your head cooing to you just baby talk. To let you know you can’t scare him.

I mean, it’s bad enough that you aren’t scared of him in real life, but not even in your dreams? You really can’t give him that?

Eventually, you’re able to convince him that really, if anything, it’s quite flattering to him that you had a good dream about him.

Since you dream about him quite a lot and you make your appearance more than once in his dreams as well, the two of you have decided to keep a little dream journal around.

At times, the two of you will go back to the start of the dream journal and Norman will read the entries to you with the softest smile.

“Oh, listen! Here’s a good one.”

Surprisingly good at reading out loud, Norman makes sure he’s speaking in a very animated way which he knows is guarded to make you giggle and it gains him a playfully swat his arm.

At a certain point, the two of you go to bed with the intent to dream about each other and it’s really freaking cute, ngl.
