"But like, of course you would be here. You can never stay away from Earth too long from what I know. However, beeing trapped in this place is surely nothing you have been aiming for... right?" A small pause. "And? Did you bring the TARDIS with you? Or anyone else, maybe?"

.｡.:*☆ "We really need to try and have some sort of normal date for once," Jack mused as he glanced over at Meredith. He'd invited her for lunch, but, after the icident on Halloween, he was still a little wary. Expecting something bad could be happening again anytime soon.

"Mean, I am sort of used to the madness, at this point. But I would not want you to believe it is actually something normal, you see?"

.｡.:*☆ "And there I already thought it was your pet." Jack had seen a lot of odd creatures over the years while traveling through space and sometimes time, as well. Some were aliens. Others were.... well, maybe aliens as well. He was not always sure. But still, it did concern him. Jack was not working for Torchwood anymore. He was not even in Cardiff anymore. And still, he was concerned. "Does this place maybe have a rulebook to follow when things like this are happening? Or are we actually all on our own here?"

The Wyvern had been following her for two days now, and she was unsure why. The grey beast had found her while she was out surfing and now it had cornered her near the local general store. It was just sitting out in the parking lot, peering in and she could have sworn it was wagging its tail at one point. "No, I can't make it leave... and no I don't know why it's there." She let out a frustrated huff toward the other as the beast seemed all too eager to just watch her. She didn't even give the other a chance to reply before adding. "You are more then welcome to take your chances out there with it, It hasn't seemed to harm anyone yet." She groaned.

.｡.:*☆ “They can not tell me there are really not living any aliens in this city,” Jack mused while folding his piece of newspaper together again. They were all stuck in this place, after all. So, surely there was someone - or something - who did control this in some way. It had to be.

“I mean…. look at this man over there,” He then added, pointing at someone at the other side of the street. “He is clearly only wearing some sort of over-up. Like, I’ve seen huys like him before. Gotta admit, though, his suit seems to have a better quality this time.”

        river’s feet stumble slightly as she lands on solid ground.    she thinks it might be time for a vortex manipulator upgrade.    she casts a glance towards the device on her wrist.    (  so many memories.    she really doesn’t want to trade it in.  )    she pulls the sleeve of her dress down as she makes her way into the house in front of her.    she doesn’t even know who it belongs to.    surely not jack, though he seems to have borrowed it for the evening.    sometimes she wonders how he knows so many people  --  but then she remembers exactly who jack harkness is.    (  one of the few who can keep up with her quick mouth.  )    she grabs a pink cocktail from a tray of colorful assortments being circulated around the room, as she scans the crowd.    it takes no time at all to find him.    it’s like he demands to be seen by everyone ;  always the life of the party.    a smile forms against her lips as she enjoys the first taste of the alcoholic beverage.    she makes her way across the room until she’s close enough for jack to hear her.    ❛  you don’t really understand the meaning of : having a few people over  --  do you ?  ❜

.｡.:*☆ "Alright then." Maybe Rory had never mant it this way, but Jack was Jack. And he would usually flirt with both men and women. So, at least for him, it was better to clear such things up beforehand.

"Also, I sense you are not used to this very much," He then added with a chuckle. Just, these days, women flirt with women, and men flirt with men, so...." shrugging, Jack trailed off, all silent for a moment. "So, your wife, is she here in Ivy Cove as well, or...?"

"What?" oh was he really that out of it? He supposed it had been centuries since he'd really spoken to anyone, and even then he and Amy had got together very young. He'd never really had to flirt in bars, he hadn't even realised it could be picked up that way. He really needed to make a mental note of that.

"Oh I'm sure you're great, but I am very happily engaged" he replied with a soft laugh. "Well maybe not happily right now with this town's craziness, but it's only ever going to be her" that was always what it had come down to.

“And, being twice my size and all yellow certainly did not help her to gain my trust. Turned also out, it was good that I did not. She was actually the leader of an alien trafficking ring, and we had to arrest her, of course….”
