Time for the seventh installment to the 2nd Mamizou Takeover! It's IPV Cover time! This is in NO way trying to replace or improve upon the one above, it's actually something else. The cover above is one of the sole survivors of when I used to make covers using idiophones only, and it's one of the ones that holds up well at that. I stopped making these kinds of covers a while ago, until now, where I'm going to bring them back in a new fashion. I made this as an homage to the times where I made idiophonic only covers, as those covers eventually became IPV Covers. Here it is a whole year later, and what once was idiophonic only has completely changed into what is now a still changing genre. I'm going to do this with all of the surviving idiophonic only covers actually. Anything that's idiophonic only is going to become an IPV Cover, and any original IPV Cover is going to become the new Fantasy Cover, which is what idiophonic only covers have been revived as. Things are getting pretty complex now that I'm remastering older things huh?

The first version of Futatsuiwa From Sado has arrived! That's my edit for the cover art by the way! This makes me STUPIDLY happy! I already LOVE idiophones, but there's something so joyous about this that makes me smile a goofy grin while listening to this! This is the definition of what a friend calls "happy bonk bonks!" Firstly Cub giving the murder cases to Grian is mighty suspicious, especially after Grian met Mumbo for the first time. I believe Cub mightve knew that Grian met Mumbo and he knew that Mumbo would help him with the case. Time travel or he is physic or warden hearing power??? (It could just be that he is just tired of the case and he is human)

Also Boogle??? I love it I think Google should change to Boogle, just imagine!

Mumbo mentioned that ghost and ghouls exist. Will we possible see any ghost or ghouls in the future? But are ghost kinda the same as phantoms such as in the origins mod pack?

Since Doc is the mayor of aqua town does he use like magic to make himself look different. I would think soo because he is literally a creeper hybrid green skin, robotics and all. I think if he were to make a appearance like that in town people would run for their lives. Like said he was giving a speech or in a meeting etc...

Now Impulse mentioned that he and zed are roommates. "And they were roommates!"/silly . Soo does that make zed also a supernatural or is he like Grian and knowing that Impulse is a supernatural? Or it might be that zed doesn't know but I think that is kinda impossible with how nosy he is/pos

Now when Grian was following Mumbo to town how did Mumbo not hear or smell him?

Lastly how did you come up with the titles? All of them are soo unique and fit the fic soo perfectly!

I do really love looking all the way back at the start of songbird and seeing where grian was at in the beginning 🥺 he was so naive and free of trauma and was really just dropped headfirst into the supernatural world. and GOD grian and mumbo at the start??? they’ve come such a long way

cub gave grian the spotlight with the paper for two (2) reasons!! :D it truly was simply because he thought grian could do it more justice and well. being such a focus in the paper isn’t quite his style <3

the Boogle thing… I think it’s my proudest achievement of songbird actually /silly

ghost or ghouls HM. in arc 3 we probably won’t! but maybe they’ll appear in the story, you never know! I don’t have any plans at the moment, but that can definitely change in the future <3 as for if they’re similar to origins phantom… I’ll probably end up using ghost and phantom as synonyms and swap them around if they ever appear in songbird. so yeah! they’ll be the same thing — maybe just with some extra world building chucked in hehe

so!!! for doc, he’s not a creeper hybrid!!! he’s a vampire just like mumbo is! in songbird he looks like a regular guy™️ with pale skin and green hair. I imagine the only thing he would use his glamour for is to hide his pointy ears :D

zed doesn’t know that impulse is a demon :3 impulse has been alive for like. thousands of years now (he was definitely alive during the supernatural rebellion), he’s had lots of practice keeping his demon side a secret, especially from nosy people like zed

with mumbo not hearing or smelling grian, it’s two factors! one: grian kept enough distance. and two: it’s as simple as mumbo had a lot on his mind that distracted him. I mean, he just found out about the murders going on in town and got more information about it from doc. we know just how much mumbo cares about people, even if he tries not to. between doc, the council, the murders, plus mumbo doing “work” for the council? there was definitely a lot going on inside his head that left him a bit distracted and therefore not paying attention to grian

and hehe thank you!!! I pull my titles for songbird fics from the playlist I made specifically for the au!! :D my process is pretty simple — I grab a song or song lyric (if it’s a one shot) that matches the vibe/theme/focus of the fic and there we go!

Mao is kind of a closeted otaku, or former? They were a hikikomori/shut-in for almost a decade and while they were in solitude, they were very much into anime and manga, idols, video games and MMOs. So, nowadays, they'll still watch anime and play video games but not to that same extreme. They have one craft hobby that they're not very good at and its needle felting, they love doing it despite nothing ever turning out good and constantly stabbing their fingers.

SO THE MATSUS WOAH MOMMA (Ill be 100% honest, I haven't gotten far enough into development/writing my fic to that Mao has fleshed out relationships with the other boys (its a slow/mid-burn and they hardly know the boys outside of Ichi at the point I'm at rn) so im gonna write how their relationships are now and how i hope i might be able to mold them in the future)

Osomatsu They atm don't have much of a dynamic, he's one of the brothers they know the least, but they've picked up that he's a bit cheeky and... not abrasive, maybe a little pushy? But not in a bad way, a neutral way. In the future, I do really want them to be closer, specifically I want to explore how the two would be drunk together. Mao doesn't drink often because, like Ichi, they're a lightweight but they'll get carried away and also tend to black out, so they don't. BUT they also get a lot more loosey goosey and are a bit more silly and confident, and deep down they're kinda vulgar so I think they'd be able to drunkenly joke together? NOT SURE YET.

Karamatsu OK So this is the dynamic I haven't touched on AT ALL, so I am really at a loss... I think they would find him funny in an ironic kind of way. I think they would want to genuinely be nice to him and encourage him, but would see how Ichi seems to think he's 'cringe' and would probably be like "aw, c'mon Ichimatsu, let him cook' or something to that effect. They're also jealous of the fact he can like, sparkle and shit.

Choromatsu OKAY OKAY AS MUCH as I dislike Choromatsu, I'm kind of excited to talk abt this. So currently they have not a CLUE abt Choro, no dynamic at all, HOWEVER!! These two have the most overlap in terms of interests (see above) so I'm genuinely excited to write how these two will interact abt otaku stuff BECAUSE they are going to rip him a fucking new one, say his fictional waifu is trash (yes i know he's mainly an idol otaku but you cant deny the fucker has some anime/light novel waifu he likes or something), and say his taste in content is sub par, but there is going to be one thing, ONE SINGLE THING that they agree on and its something they both hate and hate watch for the same reasons....

Jyushimatsu EEEEEEE SUNSHINE BOY!!!!! He's one of the ones they're had more contact with atm and they think he's absolutely delightful. They truly don't comprehend how the two are identical but are such polar opposites. Well they do, but they also kinda don't (they're an only child) and they think that their friendship/brother ship is so cute. Jyushi is also the only one Ichimatsu brings up in conversation /pos, any of the others he'll complain about. Mao thinks he is so silly goofy and admires his baseball autism passion. I want them to be closer and sillier friends, like one of Mao's favorite things to do is laugh, and yes Ichi makes them laugh in his own way, but Jyushi's way of doing it is different, not better, different.

Todomatsu He's a bitch. A total... little .... bitch. So, atm, Mao thinks he's a little knife cat bitch who uses his cuteness to manipulate, but ultimately these two are gonna get along great... eventually.... I just don't know how.... Something something fashion, something something hair (I kinda wanna steal/incorporate @ oh-gh0st's headcanon that Totty is into doing hair stuff) so I think he would help them bleach and dye their roots when they come in? Maybe?? I dunno I also just see them gossiping together... about something... i dunno

the city was enormous, and even though I was only there for "business" there were shops and activities everywhere. there were a lot of like,,, tourists attractions, and old important buildings to look at. lots of museums and art installments.

at hotels, i'd get a room so i'd have an excuse to look at the city at night :p and the beds are sooo soft, very good for nesting. getting a hotel room made it so i didn't have to use energy to open my pocket dimension but still have a place to go when i wasn't doing something.

hell had a combination of lamps and candles but also bright fluorescent lights so a bit of electrical and natural. (random thought but I don't hell had elevators, or stairs?? i cannot remember using either,,) hell is very rocky with lots of cliffs, so beings would build into or onto the cliffs

i don't remember what the plants smelt like, except maybe the red flower, I think it had a very strong scent, sweet but also bad. now that I think about it most flora in hell was really big, which is probably why I like big plants in this dimension so much

the injuries on the face corresponding with the bandages in her dr3 design, this one was probably the first thing that stood out to those who bothered to look at both the dr3 character sheet and the screenshot.

it's used to cover up the incision (obviously). doesn't require too much explaining lol
