14 Days of Cupid's Arrow – Day 4: Coffee, tea, sweets, and each other's company

i need to start writing for my f/o's more, idk how much more “im not confident in writing them yet!” i have in me but i'm writing jean ikevamp for this prompt since it's unexpectedly cute! i know he'd enjoy a good animal themed cafe tbh!! oooo i was putting this off so bad so it's a bit rushed but it was fun!!  wc: 0.5k

it was a gorgeous summer day in 18th century paris – the sun was high in the sky, the breeze making you feel as if you were as light as a feather. the sounds of children’s laughter, light conversation, and the delicious savoury sweet smells of different food items dance along the breeze.

down in the forest, there could be seen a manor of some sort – comte de saint-germain’s manor to be exact – where there seemed to be a commotion of some sort?

“oh, jeanie, vel!!” the sound of the cheery cries of one of the mansion’s resident writers, dazai, catches the attention of both people in question.

“please don’t call me that.”

“oh! dazai, hello..!”

sauntering up to them with his trademark carefree smile, they could both tell that he was here to dig for gossip material information about where they were planning to go. standing off to the side, jean watched as vel engaged in conversation (more like an interrogation disguised as a conversation) with dazai.

as soon as his questions were satisfied – aka, he had enough information to go and report back to exaggerate a few details to the other resident writer, arthur, and theo, our dear art seller – the pair got into the carriage and headed into the city for their date.

today, they were headed to a café jean had seen on his way back from work. thinking vel would like it, he had proposed the idea to her and so, here they were.

stepping into the café, the smell of crepes and other delicious sweets instantly hit their noses. vel excitedly rushes up to the counter and orders for the both of them while jean goes to find a seat, trusting vel in her decisions.

no longer than a few minutes later, he sees the girl quickly walking up to him with two crepes and some differently flavoured macarons.

grabbing at a purple macaron, a small smile graced his face making the sharp edges seem just a little bit softer, “...these marorons always are very enjoyable to eat..”

letting out a giggle at jean’s common mispronunciation of the word, the two made small conversation here and there while enjoying their sweet treats – the companionable silence being enough to make the both of them content.

as the day begins to wind down and the sun’s hues begin to take on a coral hue, the two find themselves leisurely walking hand-in-hand along the river seine, stomachs full and hearts content with the company.

knowing that the both of them will be bombarded with teasing gazes and questions from the other residents of the mansion, the two made sure to take an extra long walk along the seine, plans for their next date and ways to brush off the questions of the more… keener residents – napoleon and leonardo specifically but who are they kidding, everyone probably already knows, chronic gossipers the lot of them really – already swirling around both of their heads.

as the two walk across the seine, identical smiles find a way to their faces, both knowing that they wouldn’t change this part of their routine for anything (though, jean could do without it, but he digresses).

1) sssort of!!! yes and no :P sorry this is kinda longwinded- ive never properly done t-tober before BUTTTTT every year me and my bf compile every list we can find, go through them together, and turn them into more specefic prompts/ideas and then i turn those prompts ideas into art!!!! the thing is tho, even though i do this ritual just about every year, ive never posted it, and if i did i dont think id classify it as t-tober :P just bc im not using any ONNEE list and like. you can BARELY call what im doing 'using the prompts'. also i have like 85% of the t community blocked so i cant see/cant reblog/dont WANT to use lists from MOST people who make them

TLDR i would love to make some more t art this october but you cant really call what i do t-tober imo :P

2) ofc!!!! my reqs are always 100% open!!!!! feel free to send an idea for ANY of the fandoms on my list!!!!
