May charm or control an opponent through concentrating his power through his guitar. Requires intense concentration, hard to come by during combat.

SPACE AU SPACE AU SPACE AU SPACE AU

HELLO JRWI TUMBLR me and my friend GGHOSTII have been working on a SPACE AU for JRWI Riptide for the past few days and decided it would be fun to make it public :p

WELCOME TO OUTERTIDE!!!

This whole thing started as a joke my partner made but it stuck to gghostii and I's brains like glue. We're still fleshing stuff out but with the help of some friends (Remy, Corey, and Edmond), the pirates are now in space

ALSO WE MADE A SMALL GOOGLE DOC OF ALL THE INFORMATION WE CAME UP WITH ON THE SPOT just so we wouldn't forget (THE DOC HAS MAJOR SPOILERS FOR EP 109 ONWARD proceed with caution) it may also keep updating as we think of more and more, this is extremely experimental

My hot take is that Shilo is taller than Emizel. You CANNOT tell me that Em has decent enough poster to stand above his twin who wears heels and canonically has impeccable posture.

Subnautica PD au: @wardensburrow and me!

I NEED TO RAMBLE ABOUT MY THOUGHTS ON MY DESIGN CHOICES- (below the cut ^^)

Dakota: he’s always going in and out of the water, usually spending more time in than out, so ofc he’s in his wetsuit most of the time. I added a belt with weights bc I realized the subnautica wetsuit design had no weight system and that just doesn’t work irl- so I couldn’t just let it go… on top of that he has his dive knife (which the handle has the others colors <3), pouch, and stickers on his knee pads :).

William: his is pretty simple, he spends most of his time out of the water and so isn’t in a wet suit like Dakota and Vyncent. He’s wearing gloves bc of trying to hide that he’s infected, as well as trying to hide how his hands shake. He’s also not wearing his hoodie bc the climate is super warm in the daytime and cold when the sun goes down (he has buttons of the others colors).

Vyncent: he’s got his big duffle bag for collecting materials, usually being the one to go out in the prawn suit to restock their cabinets (usually Dakota joins him). Because of that he’s also half in his wetsuit, usually going in and out a lot so not bothering taking it fully off, but also not wanting to overheat. He’s got his hair in a braid bc of spending most of his time working on mechanics and doing physical work where he can’t have his hair in the way (he’s got the others colors braided in)

Ashe: she’s got the most normal outfit of them all, though she has a lot of colorful patches because of the limited amount of regular clothes they can make/get and because of the boredom of being stuck in the base for all of her life. (She’s got the others colors as pins on her beanie)

I KNOW U CAN SEE OR GUESS ALL THESE REASON- but I wanted to ramble about them and point everything out…

Smiles, here’s a Legend of the Riptide Pirate AU character lore dump (slash info about them just compiled into one place)

Chip

The “Riptide Pirate”

Uses his bandana to appear alive and eternally 19, despite being undead and being an actual skeleton at this point.

You know that meme, how do you do fellow kids? That’s how I envision Chip in this AU. He desperately wants to still appear young and cool once he meets the girls and warms up to them but he is an old man in a modern world. My guy is struggling.

He is very sad.

He kept the Albatross busy and alive with people for a very long time, at least a good hundred years, until it became too painful and he stopped letting people on. That’s when he became more of a legend, when he retreated into the shadows.

He still hangs out in Zero. He tries to spend most of his time there because he wants to enjoy what time he has left with Ollie, but sometimes he’ll get restless and go off on the Albatross.

He has grey streaks in hair- because when he realized Jay and Gil had both started greying and looking older and he still looked 19, they all got really sad and he gave himself grey streaks and said, “look, we match now.” There were tears.

Ollie

He’s alive!

He is a very very old man though. Like maybe even 200ish probably (half-elf’s can exceed 180 which is probably for them what 70 is for humans).

He did travel a lot with the Riptide Pirates in his adulthood, but eventually settled in Zero.

Chip still comes to visit him and his family, who know him as “Uncle Chip”. A lot of them also traveled with the Riptide Pirates at one point or another while he still had a crew.

He has dementia:( Sometimes he’ll see Chip and ask where Gill and Ms. Jay are and it hurts Chip every single time.

Jay

Guys she’s dead, I’m sorry.

She traveled on the Albatross for decades before retiring/settling (with who, idk, but I do really like clockwork/birdbolt wives, so with Ensa maybe?)

I don’t know if she had kids (definitely not bio kids but maybe she like raised some kiddos at some point idk)

She still would join Chip and Gil occasionally on the Albatross until she physically could not anymore, and then Chip would visit her.

She died of old age.

Gillion

He’d dead, but I don’t know what happened to him.

I mean it’s Gillion Tidestrider do we really think this guy is going to live his entire possible 200 year lifespan? No. Because it’s Gillion Tidestrider. He’s going to die heroically in some way. Maybe it’s before Jay, maybe it’s after, idk. But he was too slow. That’s what happened he’s gotten older and one day he was too slow. 

Fnc? Im more leaning towards this au being one sided fnc on chips side but there is for sure a whole other kind of angst potential for fnc being an established thing in this au.

Phoebe

The Ferin!

A descendant of one of Jay Ferin’s cousins. (The Ferin’s feel like a big family too me, one with lots of cousins and twice removeds and stuff like that)

One of her parents, the not Ferin, was never too fond of the Ferins practices and so they tried to keep Phoebe distanced from them. (This included the name thing but they caved and allowed her to be called Phoebe May Ferin) And her Ferin parent agreed, despite having been in the Navy themself, that their family was a bit intense.

The family has pushed her to the point of joining the Navy academy, and her family wasn’t given much of a choice, so she was sent off.

She’s heard about the Riptide Pirate, through stories- but her favorite part is that one of his earliest companions was also a Ferin. She hears rumors that he’s still around, being spotted at various docks and Zero.

She decides to risk it and run away, looking for the Riptide Pirate. She escapes the evening the Champion is in the city as all attention will be on that. She panics when she realizes that the champion is also trying to run away.

She knows how to sail (small crafts) I feel like she’d canoe and paddle and know how to man like one of those tiny sail boats.

She has reddish hair but it’s a lot more mute than Jay’s. She also has darker eyes and a stockier build.

Class wise, she’s a fighter, I think. I’m not one hundred percent sure.

Edyn

Edyn is also still alive!

She’s “The Champion’s” grandmother

I think she never returned to the undersea, and ended up settling somewhere on the surface. She ended having kids. The Undersea found out about this, and at someone point sent some people up for them, and offered the kid (now an adult) money, status, community, as long as they returned to the undersea. All they want is for them to sire a child to be “the chosen one”, someone from the same lineage as the original. They like seed some distrust in their head and it turns into a whole argument with Edyn and they never speak again.

She hears about the Champion coming to All Port as part of some diplomacy delegation, several months before, and she really wants to see her granddaughter, get to meet her, so she ends up getting a job for the place they’re staying at as like a maid or an attendant or smth under a different name, and no one suspects anything of a sweet old lady. And they end up promoting her to serve the Champions room because a) sweet old lady b) shes a triton and a triton who has never been too the surface will probably be more comfortable around another triton.

Edyn gets to speak to Calypso and reveals first of all that she is her grandmother, and second of all that she is not actually the chosen one.

Calypso

The “Champion”!

The “Chosen One” who is not actually the chosen one! Just a person meant to replace Gillion as a religious figurehead after his “failure” she and most other people do not know this (they pushed Gillion under the rug and waited for people to forget about him before trying again)

She is a Tidestrider

Her thing is mostly the Elders trying to remain relevant in an increasing secular world.

Her training is less strict and started at a much earlier age than Gillion’s, and it followed a lot less combat and fighting and more religious and magical 

She’s literally just for ceremonially purposes, they keep harping about the prophecy and destiny but the elders all know it won’t come to pass for her. She does not.

She goes as part of a diplomacy thing to All Port and there meets Edyn. She had already been discontent with the undersea and uncertain of her place and she had thought about the possibility of leaving but Edyn finally sows the final seeds of distrust and she leaves- Edyn helping by creating a distraction and letting her slip out the window.

She realizes she has no idea of where she is going until she meets Phoebe. They put the dots together and once Phoebe understands she offers to bring Cal along with her, to join the Riptide Pirate. She follows.

She has a crown of coral that looks a lot like Gillion’s but it’s a crown that she can take on and off. It’s not real.

She has lighter hair than Gil and she has a more willowy build (she is also taller than he was)

Class wise, I thought about her being a paladin, but with there being less focus on combat and being a holy warrior, I think she’s a cleric (my heart is telling me she’s a cleric)

Gill

basically the same as normal riptide, except he’s from some sort of advanced salmonid society under the green seas where inklings/octolings dissolve

weird ass creature that crawled to the surface from the deep who gawks at inkling society (so same as 8s backstory as well as his og backstory)

probably still the chosen one- maybe an elite soldier? Or boss salmonid at least

Pretzel is either just a normal talking pet critter like moe or order OR a child octoling gill just,,, found??

Instead of the lux pearl he’s got a mythical golden egg

Jay

she’s an ex elite Octarian soldier :) I think she’s best suited as an octoling since her backstory is almost one for one w marinas lol

she abandons the signature seaweed hairpieces later on when she’s more integrated and confident

Chip

he’s a street rat inkling prolly akin to your average joe

he’s got burnt tentacles because of the whole sorcerer shtick

109(?) spoilers!! His uh undying translates to sanitization and he becomes a sentient sanitized zombie

I don’t think they would outright be only pirates in this au, as gillion and the tidestriders/riptide pirates can def be seen as an idol group and they kinda function like chaotic agents!

Anyways I enjoy these two things dearly if you can’t tell 🫶

BITB x PD AU!

heyyyoooo! Something I've been working on/thinking of for a few days now! The BITB boys as Prime Defenders superheroes!!! Read below for a description of the setting/characters and a WIP of Kian's hero suit design :D

BITB boys as Prime defenders Heroes. The Bayou team is a small-town hero team that's been dreaming of making it big as heroes in one of the bigger cities. The childhood friends work their way up the ranks to one day, hopefully, be able to get registered at WATCH. For now they try their hand at stopping crime local to Galloway and surrounding small towns.

SOME WIP MAGICAL GIRL DESIGNS FOR MY MADOKA MAGICA AU LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

OK so yeah Lore dump about my AU..(beware that subjects can change in the future.)

This is going to be a long long ride with some pretty arts along the way.

let’s start with what is this AU? :

Prime demons / Prime demon glitch is what if Prime defender boys set in a world of horror and they are monster instead of yk like in canon.

first of need to clarify that, the world setting is like in canon but with a little twist that dead star did rift half of prime make it some kind of apocalypse dystopian world where the abyss(monster) come up of the rift and people who interact with it get infected.

However, before the coming of dead star Prime originated had its magic user mutant that originated in its planet ( witch + ghost and stuff.) After the founding of Watch, they selected a few mutant by themselves to raised them to be the new generation of PF ( like in canon)

However Watch in this AU…is not overall good guy. And PF and PD in this universe is not treated as good as in canon. It was more like a grey area operation..only Dakota that still believes they are heroes.

And for the boys I did need to separate them into their own section. Let’s start with William the Ghost.

For the better understanding of the overall plot.

William did died from the fall, but with a little twist that he is actually got stabbed and push by someone before the falls.

He did have some power like the original, However it did come from the previous whisperer that give it to him when Wiwi is dying. In an attempt to escape Mal. He vows himself that he would solve who killed him and another children in dead woods.

For Dakota :

Some changes in his plot a little bit for the angst ( first of all he and William is a childhood friend before Dakota parents died in an *accident* ) and he moved in with his aunt in new haven.

however, one time when he went hiking with his friends. They got attacked by the abyss bear, Dakota tried his best to save his friend but failed his friend was mauled to death and so does he.

But In his dying state he saw a a big wolf came in and destroyed the bear. and he also saw a boy that looks just like william with it. The wolf bit Dakota results in its saving his life.

Like in Canon Dakota falls into state like coma, but in here he and the wolf did talk and train together( it is actually master cole ) and in the end the wolf told him to go find the new whisperer at deadwood and never trust watch.

When he woke up. Like in canon he is the one who admit his aunt to rehab. And due to complications issues his aunt is the one who sign his guardianship away to the Watch for she can no longer take care of him anymore which results in he went to look for william.

*Side note he has some complicates feeling about watch but still believe in them as heroes, he just needs time and talk with william first*

He then find out William is missing...heart broken he went into the woods where he and William usually go together, somewhere only they know...there he meet William Wisp welcoming him home

Not knowing what happened or what will happen next Dakota and William join finally together again. However, they are not quite alone for William met someone new and Dakota bought Watch here in dead woods as well without knowing. But in the good side they got each other.
