#JOSHUA BOONE IS INCREDIBLE

I remember when I saw the show, Joshua Boone’s mic had water in it so it was a little muffled (ig his backup mic had water in it too) and it wasn’t really clearing up so he did little brother with it like that. And oh my fucking god did it make that song more emotional. Because his voice was sorta muffled and sounded like it was under water and it made it feel like he was drowning in his own thoughts and grief too much to handle it. And I can’t even make this up, the water cleared out of the mic at the very end of the song. And the way I sat there, sobbing, and completely gagged bc it was like him standing in front of the train was the only thing to pull him out of his complete sorrow
#ok maybe I was overanalyzing it#but it showed that even things that are considered accidents on Broadway#can make the performance that much more emotional#I literally remember going to stage door and my mom said told me my mascara was running and I’m like YEAH BC I WAS SOBBING???#I BAWLED#JOSHUA BOONE IS INCREDIBLE#the outsiders musical#the outsiders broadway#the outsiders#dallas winston#little brother#joshua boone

As of last month since I met Brody I’ve now gotten to meet every single principle cast member! I just wish I remembered what I said to Brody and what he said back to me (I was in shock that he came out) but I’m just happy that I was able to meet him! I’ve had the best conversations with Jason and he literally looks you right in the eyes when you’re talking to him 🥺. Then also Brent who remembered us when we saw the show twice in May. He was so funny at stagedoor last month 😂. Then of course Sky is the sweetest!!! Joshua Boone oh my gosh he asked me my name and introduced himself and shook my hand Alan’s said that it was so nice to meet you after I said I’d seen the show 3 times . Then I absolutely love Emma, Melody & Tilly!!!
Ahh that’s so awesome!!! They sound like such a sweet and receptive group of people!! I really hope that I’m able to work up the courage to stage door when I go…I’d love to meet some of these people and show my appreciation!! They seem soooo incredibly sweet, I’m so happy you got to meet them! That’s so amazing!!
I LOVE hearing your guys stage door stories 🥺 please feel free to share!! It’s one of my favorite things to read!!

an assortment of Fallout: New Vegas characters as Brian David Gilbert videos
because the hyperfixation is deepening day by day. the polygon videos with BDG will not count so i'm sorry if you're hoping for something like Smash Bros OSHA violations or Sexiest Castlevania Monsters here. also gonna put down the lines from each video that reminded me of the character they're assigned to. here we go ! Arcade Gannon: i wish that i could wear hats (the entire song. all of it) Benny Gecko: My Autobiography ("I ate a brick bench, got a scar on my lip, got equinophobia on a field trip, sold my soul to a demon to see how I die-"/"That demon's still here but I do not know why! May 6, 2030 is when I will die, the scene of my death is incredibly bleak- new videos at the end of every week!") Boone: this video got me a job ("I used to live in Baltimore but now I'm in New York, 'cause there wasn't much in Baltimore for odd video work, so I moved myself to Brooklyn with a bag and a suit and I've got a countdown timer 'till I'm destitute.") Caesar: this song is not a metaphor ("I just think caterpillars don't know what's going on. They're dopey as heck, don't know why we respect something that can't do long division, write petitions, or pay with a check. (AND I CAN DO ALL OF THOSE THINGS!)"/"I'd like to see a caterpillar do that.") Cass: building your online brand ("But, full coordination of your personhood and your branding can be challenging, and that's why I'm here to help you turn your humanity into hu-brand-ity."/"You see, a brand is much like a flower in that it stinks and takes its own path. If you think you know how it will grow, then you've never tasted nature's wrath.") The Courier: that feeling when you bite into a pickle and it's a little squishier than you expected ("Okay, then you tell me: what's the feeling?" "It's... it's, ah... I'm feeling... ffah- shhh- s- s- s- susuuuu- saaaaa-ahhhhh aeeehhh... ... ... I DON'T KNOW! I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FEELING IS! I don't know what it is!"/the entire musical part/"... I feel... zjierb.") Fantastic: the rollerblader's world is limitless (again, the entire video) Joshua Graham: MY WEIRD ICE CREAMS: a cooking video ("It's gonna be 90 degrees in New York City today. And even with air conditioning, it just means I'm gonna be in a constant state of slightly sweaty."/"When you have an ice cream maker, the world is your oyster. You could make oyster ice cream, and I won't stop you! I can't stop you. No one can."/"And now we can leave and not have to listen to that for thirty minutes."/"This is an ice cream you have after defeating your arch nemesis in chess.") Lily: Pumpkin Cowboy (the whole song) Raul: shingle jingle (the dance break scene.) The Think Tank: it's time to get good at darts ("By the year 2053, all communication will be done via dart board. There is no more poverty or famine, there is only darts. The world has moved past the need for currency. Criminal activities have long since ceased. War is just a whisper in the memories of those who can recall a time before the dartening. This future can become a reality, so long as we understand that the time has finally come. The time to get good at darts.") Veronica: i'm not superstitious but i am afraid to prune my money tree (again, the whole song) Yes Man: buy my bed ("I need this bed out of my house by TUESDAY, because on TUESDAY, I'm havin' a POTLUCK, and I can't having people comin' to my POTLUCK askin' why the hell there's two BEDS against the wall!")

Fallout: New Vegas
-The Latest Cool and Hip™ reboot movie from Bethesda
John McWhiteman was just an average joe working his 9-to-5 in Vegas. Stuck as a small time accountant working for the biggest casino on the strip, he dreams of making it big, when his world is turned upside down! When he’s struck by lightning on the roof, he’s suddenly transported to a wacky post apocalyptic wasteland version of the city of sin, where only the strong survive, as John quickly finds out. When he’s comically robbed at gunpoint for his favorite souvenir silver poker chip, hapless fish-out-of-water John accidentally gets caught up in a plot between the biggest gangs in the wasteland to take over the city. With a wacky, ragtag group of companions, John will encounter Boobs, guns, and just maybe… the true meaning of friendship
STARRING:
-James Mardsen as John McWhiteman
-Justin Beiber as Arcade
-John Cena as Boone
-Danny Trejo as Raul
-Matthew Perry as Benny
Mellisa McCarthy as Veronica
-Tilda Swinton as Cass The Movie:
-Constantly breaks the fourth wall and references pop culture
-it simultaneously makes inappropriate jokes as if it was aimed at adults, but it’s so stupid and juvenile that it’s also trying to appeal to kids. It constantly censors itself because they want a PG-13 rating. No one is allowed to say fuck (not even once)
-Tilde Swinton gets cast as Cass. She spends 7 months living in the Mojave desert as a ranch hand preparing for the role. She gets 5 lines in the movie and doesn’t even appear on the poster.
-There’s several poop and/or fart jokes
-There’s a John Cena joke that has aged like milk
-Bud Light product placement
-Benny dabs
-Veronica says “ok Boomer” to Elder MacNarama
-Forced Horse Armor Joke
-An arrow to the knee joke also
-Somebody says ”It just works” when they’re talking about the Platinum chip plan
-During the tent scene Caesar says that he “cancelled” Joshua Graham
-Rex is renamed Dogmeat for no reason, also is horribly CGI’d. There are hours of embarrassing footage of a man in a morph suit acting as dogmeat in the behind the scene special features, and they attempt to pass this off as a marvelous feat of special effects
-There’s a Todd Howard Cameo that’s incredibly unsubtle.
-Lily is in it for 5 seconds and she’s dumb like an east coast mutant
-13 minute Benny sex scene
-In one scene Vulpes Inculta is forced to do the whip and nae nae when he’s trying to blend in in the Tops casino and he cries
-When they introduce Caesar there’s a joke about him doing aerobics in his underwear and drinking wasteland-approximate starbucks-ish drinks before he makes public appearances. We get a gratuitous ass shot for the joke while Big Booty Bitches by TSpoon DJ Squad plays over it, and it permanently haunts your mind for the rest of the film
-Danny Tejo and Matthew Perry reprise their roles, they look like they’d rather be anywhere else
-Just when you think the movie is finally about to be over, The movie ends with a dance party where Vulpes shows up again and leads the cast in what’s arguably the worst, low energy rendition of “what does the fox say” ever made. It clashes with the rest of the film tonally despite everything else in it, and the cast look like they all want to die.

For good ol' Red: 7, 35, 55, 67, 93? (One from each category, hehe)
😳😳😳
*cracks knuckles* here we go
7. Are they in a romantic relationship? With who? How did they meet?
Red is the wasteland's biggest thot (i mean... look at them...) but also a big romantic with a surprisingly big soft spot. They're stupidly in love with Boone for reasons they can't really pin down. Just one of those relationships whose "insane people" vibes resonate.
35. What is the easiest way to annoy them?
Coming at them from the left, where their blind spot is, or saying anything vaguely positive about the Legion. Or touching their stuff without asking. Or Arcade being Arcade y'know. frenemies.
55. What is their alcohol tolerance like? What kind of drunk are they? How bad are their hangovers?
Honestly? Not high. Red's not a lightweight, but like four beers and they're lying on the ground cry laughing because they started thinking about how their name is Red because they're a ginger, and how the room feels like it's kind of spinning, that's fun, we should go play blackjack down at the Tops, I want to steal from Benny again-
or something equally as stupid.
Red almost never has hangovers except on the rare occasion they drink something heavier than beer. Drinking with Cass has definitely increased their alcohol tolerance though.
67. Is their bedroom messy? What about their bathroom? Kitchen? Living room?
Red's living spaces have always been incredibly austere and lacking almost all personality. They're really used to keeping everything they own on their back - or at least very close to them. They've had to pick up and run far too many times to break the habit easily, but their bedroom in the Lucky 38 has a little more flair because they feel they can finally settle down. Then of course they have to pick up and leave once again, for two years :/
Other living spaces are much the same, but Red has an annoying habit of leaving guns and bullets everywhere. Like? that's not sanitary. Why did you use a kitchen towel to clean off gun grease?
93. What’s the most iconic line of dialogue they’ve ever said?
I think my favorite I've ever had Red say is just before they kill Joshua Graham - they ask if he wants to pray first.
Red's spirituality has kind of evolved a bit from "not being religious at all" to a very firm belief that people need to believe in something. In their Legion days, as a teenager, Red took a lot of comfort in the temple and the priestesses/their scripture. After leaving and living in Mexico, Red adopts a more... catholic point of view.
They hate Joshua Graham, but they respect that he believes. Asking if he wants to repent before he dies is the closest they ever came to an understanding.

I made my cringe, fail, and incredibly down bad Independent Courier 6, Solomon, in Hero Forge! His go to companions are Boone, Ulysses, and Benny, the latter of which he has a ridiculous infatuation with, much to the annoyance of the other two. More about him, along with my personal story for him, under the cut. Some events divert from canon due to the disaster that was Honest Hearts.
Solomon Begay is an Indigenous man born to parents from the Dead Horse tribe who fled Zion when the missionaries started worming their way into their culture. He was raised away from the Mojave, somewhere in the north-eastern part of Arizona where his ancestors had lived nearly 200 years in the past. There, his mother and father taught him the ways of the Dead Horses, how to be a fair and kind man, and how to survive in this now inhospitable world destroyed by the hubris of man. He would hold onto these teachings far into his adult life. In his late teens he would get a job as a courier, traveling around his home town delivering packages and doing odd jobs. Eventually, he would leave his teary-eyed but proud parents to go make a life of his own.
Solomon himself is a bit of an odd one, having a unique view of the world that he got from his interactions with others in the courier business, having seen odd things out in the wasteland. He believes that the way the world ended up was inevitable, and that to truly survive in the aftermath, people need to work and support each other in order to survive. Intelligent and charismatic,if a bit of an airhead at times, Solomon leaves a lasting impression on the people he meets as an eccentric mailman that has a bit too much fun playfully intimidating raiders and other troublemakers. In his mid-20s, he would be given a package to deliver to a place that would later become The Divide, interlinking the fates of him and a man that would hunt him down for years until their fated meeting in the tumultuous landscape. The name Solomon was given to him by a forgotten acquaintance who was reminded of king he had read about in a book one day. Solomon would take the name, and after coming to Zion, would realize the irony of that day.
After taking the job that would tun him into a dead man walking, Solomon heard of a caravan making a trip to Zion. A chance to see the home that his parents had fled from wasn't something he could pass up, if only to have piece of mind that his people had succeeded in driving away the missionaries. This piece of mind was shattered when he was led by a young scout named Follows-Chalk to meet Joshua Graham, a missionary who had become that of a god to the Dead Horses. Learning of Joshua Graham from Jed Masterson and Follows-Chalk, Solomon was not sure what to expect besides a monstrous man using his people for his war. The normally calm and even tempered man became irritated. The missionaries that had been the reason for his families fleeing had won. And as he approached the table where The Burned Man sat, Solomon made a decision; Joshua Graham and his missionaries would never leave Zion alive again. And they never did.
#fallout new vegas#fallout#courier 6#courier six#honest hearts is a major part of my courier's journey!#I absolutely killed joshua graham the first chance I got (which I was able to thanks to a mod) and then ran out of Zion#solomon is banished from Zion but he's fine with that#it's a small price to pay to keep graham from hurting them any further#and david. who also sucks just as bad#edit: solomon has two braids but hero forge doesn't have that yet :(

hehe.. Eris + Teabag and/or Luna + Josh for the ask meme :^)
i’ll do luna/joshua bc i got questions for eris/teabag already >:) plus i don’t talk about them enough which is a crime
1. How did they first meet?
in my canon i had them meet before he became the malpais legate and she had just quit the ncr so she was out traveling before going home because she didn’t want to go home to tell her dad and they just ran into each other on the road. luna had been sitting in the middle of the road and josh just walked up to her like, “do you need help?” and then she rambled about leaving the ncr and started crying.
2. What did they think of each other at first? What was their first impression of the other?
he thought she was too hard on herself for quitting the ncr but also that she was too good of a soul to be out in the mojave wastelands and hoped that the wastelands wouldn’t be cruel to her. luna thought he was an odd character out of all the people she’s met and that he looked lost to her, like he didn’t know what he wanted out of life.
3. Were they immediately interested / attracted, or did that come later?
they were both mutually attracted to each other but joshua didn’t want to admit it and kept denying it. luna immediately fell for his eyes.
4. Why did they fall for each other?
joshua fell for her because of how kind she was, he felt at peace whenever he was around her. she brought out a protective side he didn’t know he had. luna honestly just fell in love with him because he listens to her, no matter what comes out of her mouth. she could tell him she saw a gecko and he’d ask her questions and give her all of his attention as opposed to mostly everyone waving her off or telling her to shut up.
5. Who flirted more before they started their relationship and how?
LUNA GHFJLFLFL she has no shame and outright flirts with joshua to the point where he’ll get flustered and she’ll smile and walk away.
6. Who made the first move/confessed first?
luna did!! and she did twice when they reunite in zion and she pretty much falls for him again even with her memory loss!!
7. When did they have their first kiss and under what circumstances?
the day after he became the malpais legate, although he didn’t exactly tell her, only that he got a promotion............. but he also knew he wouldn’t take her back to the fort and that he wouldn’t be able to see her as freely as before so he kissed her and made it a very long kiss ;)
8. Which one is more easily made jealous?
joshua................ he knows he shouldn’t be and that he’s not allowed to be, but whenever luna talks about any man that she’s spent time with... he’ll be like “...i see. interesting.” he really doesn’t like luna’s crush on dean domino.
9. What do they fight about? Who’s the first to apologize?
they don’t really fight, even when she convinced joshua not to kill salt-upon-wounds. he was upset, and it didn’t lead to a fight, but he did apologize anyway for his behavior.
10. Did they have a first date? Where did they go?
not really, they just have a certain spot at the campfire where they just sit and talk about their day or luna asks joshua about how she used to be when they were first together.
11. What do their friends and family think? Do they approve of the relationship?
boone and arcade aren’t fans about it. cass isn’t either but she told luna if he ever hurt her she’d kill him, so it’s a bit of a pass. veronica is cool with it. raul is 50-50 with it. follows-chalk and daniel like luna so they’re happy, but daniel is protective of luna, so he’s a bit wary towards joshua.
12. Do they like to cuddle/hold hands? Do they prefer to do it privately rather than in public?
josh is very private, which luna respects, though he does feel bad but she understands he has to have a reputation. they’ll keep it on dl... [jane austen clench hand gif here]
13. How long do they wait before sleeping together for the first time (If they do)? Under what circumstances does it happen?
i mean technically they do wait a long time because they don’t sleep together when they were first together but once luna comes to zion and spends time with him, getting to know him all over again she kisses him and she’s like “i’m sorry i shouldn’t have....” while josh is having an internal struggle but then looks at luna’s exposed thighs and is like “lord forgive me i’m back on my bs....”
14. Who tops?
joshua, but it takes a while what with his condition.....
15. Do they get married? Who proposes & how?
yes!!! joshua proposes when luna comes back after having been gone for several months which during that time joshua realized how much he missed her and was preparing to go to the mojave, knowing that he’d probably be spotted by caesar’s men and possibly die... but she came and he just knew in that moment, that he would really die and kill for her... he proposed to her after they **** owo
16. Do they have children? How many? What are their names?
they have one... miss gideon... she’s called gigi at times.... she looks like luna, but has joshua’s eyes and is incredibly spoiled and because of that she’s extremely chaotic.

fallout! 💌
thank you, angel! 💞
fallout 🤖
Favorite character: i can’t pick 💀 james, madison li, shaun, arcade gannon, colonel autumn, goris, joshua graham, vulpes inculta, raul...
Second favorite character: see above. okay these ones i do be liking but am also neutral about overall: caesar, veronica santangelo, butch deloria, amata almodovar, killian darkwater
Least favorite character: FUCK jacoren lives. and kellogg. and benny i have tragically fallen out of love with because fandom is territorial about his characterisation 🤧
The character I’m most like: the lone wanderer. i know they’re a blank slate but the narrative can be oddly relatable, plus the dialogue hints at what were expected choices, especially point lookout. the lone wanderer as very lonely—and kind, sacrificial, tenacious, maybeeee a little snobby as a vault dweller...
Favorite pairing: it’s not canon but obviously my own creation of colonel autumn/lone wanderer. we love enemies to lovers in this house!! i am kinda obsessed with the prospect of the lw finding a new home in raven rock, its conditions emulate that of the vault, and autumn as a replacement father figure... mmm... daddy issues... give me...
Least favorite pairing: i don’t hate any, i don’t understand vulpes/arcade gannon though or arcade/boone. joshua graham and caesar picks at me. AGAIN i don’t ship slash. oh i do be hating arcade/female courier though. he’s gay my friend
Favorite moment: many iconic moments in fallout but probably in fallout 3 when you come out of the vault for the first time and the exposure fades out: your first glimpse of a brave new world... or what’s left of it. ashes, dust, carcasses. welcome to the capital wasteland, kid. your ancestors were great to have left this shit for you, huh?
Rating out of 10: 1000000. an incredible series that’s both tongue-in-cheek and deadly serious. very, scarily applicable to our political climate today. unafraid to explore the gritty side of war and racism, but also very hopeful for humanity 💛 i absolutely love fallout, warts and all. except fo76 or tactics we don’t speak of them

For the week of 28 October 2019
Quick Bits:
Afterlift #1 is a digital original from Chip Zdarsky, Jason Loo, Paris Alleyne, and Aditya Bidikar. Very interesting concept here playing with a character who drives for a Lyft analogue in Cabit, leading to becoming a rather unique courier.
| Published by Jams & Jellies
Batman Annual #4 actually gives us many adventures and stories as we go through almost two months’ of diary entries of Batman’s exploits from Alfred, as told by Tom King, Jorge Fornés, Mike Norton, Dave Stewart, and Clayton Cowles. It’s a nice way to pack a lot of story into this annual in a fairly unique way, while also showcasing just how busy Batman really is.
| Published by DC Comics
Black Panther #17 sets up for the next confrontation with N’Jadaka and his forces, also giving us a rather...awkward but interesting conversation between Storm and Nakia. Gorgeous art from Daniel Acuña.
| Published by Marvel
Bloodshot #2 continues the balls to the wall action as Bloodshot and the Black Bar conflict escalates, from Tim Seeley, Brett Booth, Adelso Corona, Andrew Dalhouse, and Dave Sharpe. It’s a bit of a throwback to a more action-oriented style, but it definitely works for Bloodshot. A nice change of pace to give a variety of storytelling.
| Published by Valiant
Conan the Barbarian #10 spins us the twins’ yarn as they plotted their revenge on Conan, from Jason Aaron, Mahmud Asrar, Matthew Wilson, and Travis Lanham. The art from Asrar and Wilson is gorgeous. The backstory building up to last parts of this story and the fate of Conan is gripping.
| Published by Marvel
Contagion #5 brings an end to this series from Ed Brisson, Adam Gorham, Veronica Gandini, and Cory Petit. Gorgeous and creepy art here from Gorham and Gandini.
| Published by Marvel
DCeased #6 is surprisingly hopefully, even as everything dies and everybody hurts. It appears to be setting up a sequel, though likely to be incredibly bleak. Tom Taylor, Trevor Hairsine, Neil Edwards, Stefano Gaudiano, Rain Beredo, and Saida Temofonte conclude this series in epic fashion as we say goodbye to Earth.
| Published by DC Comics
Death’s Head #4 is another ending to a series this week, from Tini Howard, Kei Zama, Felipe Sobreiro, and Travis Lanham. Some very nice character work here for Death’s Head and Vee.
| Published by Marvel
Doctor Strange Annual #1 gives us a pair of tales. The lead from Tini Howard, Andy MacDonald, Tríona Farrell, and Cory Petit is a fun Halloween story dealing with the spirits haunting the Sanctum Sanctorum. Any art from MacDonald is a treat. The back up is a bit more deadly serious with Pornsak Pichetshote, Lalit Kumar Sharma, Sean Parsons, José Villarrubia, and Petit revealing a failsafe should Strange go rogue.
| Published by Marvel
Ether: The Disappearance of Violet Bell #2 continues to be incredibly inventive as Boone tries to track down the assassin. David Rubín’s art is absolutely amazing. And Boone’s continued inability to really think about anyone other than himself is telling.
| Published by Dark Horse
Excalibur #1 is another tick in the win column for “Dawn of X”. The X-Men dabbling in magic isn’t common, but Tini Howard, Marcus To, Erick Arciniega, and Cory Petit do so with amazing flair, fittingly taking us in through Otherworld, Captain Britain, and Betsy Braddock. Apocalypse’s new incarnation as “ •|A| •” and his newfound interest in magic is fascinating.
| Published by Marvel
Five Years #5 spotlights Zoe’s rather elaborate imagination for coming up with ways to murder people. Granted, the Russian agent may well deserve it, but still... Terry Moore continues to deliver some unexpected twists as the end of the world inches closer.
| Published by Abstract Studio
Giant Days: As Time Goes By #1 is a one-shot finale special from John Allison, Max Sarin, Whitney Cogar, and Jim Campbell. It picks up roughly a year from the end of the series, dealing with why Esther has been missing from their reunions. It’s full of all of the humour that we’ve been used to and hammers home the power of friendship. Also, it gets very, very weird.
| Published by Boom Entertainment / BOOM! Box
Harleen #2 works hard to portray Harley’s seduction by the Joker. Stjepan Šejić and Gabriela Downie portray it as an insidious, manipulative thing. It might appear romantic on the surface, but there’s definitely a darkness there. There are ideas of bringing back a monster from the edge of insanity, but the story makes you realize that some may well be beyond hope.

Hellboy and the BPRD: Long Night at Goloski Station might well be the best of these new format tales yet, and both of the previous ones were incredibly strong. Here Mike Mignola, Matt Smith, Dave Stewart, and Clem Robins deliver a single issue story building on Hellboy’s confrontation with Baba Yaga, Sir Edward Grey, and demons.
| Published by Dark Horse
Invisible Kingdom #6 begins the second arc, “Edge of Everything”, as the crew first try to find food and fuel and then run afoul of a salvage ship. G. Willow Wilson, Christian Ward, and Sal Cipriano keep things interesting as we start to see the crew’s life after Lux.
| Published by Dark Horse / Berger Books
Invisible Woman #4 is disturbing, basically everything goes to hell and everyone that Sue was trusting to see this operation through has let her down. Or worse. Mark Waid, Mattia De Iulis, and Joe Caramagna set up a rather horrifying situation in this penultimate chapter. Again, De Iulis’ artwork is stunning.
| Published by Marvel
Joker: Killer Smile #1 is essentially a psychological horror from Jeff Lemire, Andrea Sorrentino, Jordie Bellaire, and Steve Wands. It comes from the point of view of a psychiatrist, Dr. Ben Arnell, who is trying to get to the heart of Joker’s mental state. It’s not going so well and it appears like the good doctor is losing time, doing strange things, and possibly worse. Very intriguing beginning to this story.
| Published by DC Comics - Black Label
Knights Temporal #4 has some stunning artwork from Fran Galán, particularly during the gangster sequences where colour comes into play as another important storytelling element. There are some very nice twists this issue, making you wonder about a lot of what we thought we knew.
| Published by AfterShock
The Last God #1 is dark fantasy done right by Phillip Kennedy Johnson, Riccardo Federici, Sunny Gho, Dean White, Tom Napolitano, Steve Wands, and Jared Blando. It gives us lying kings, heroes who weren’t rightly heroes, and a Lovecraftian terror returned to show the truth. It plays deep on resentment and distrust, and of a complete failure of institutions to uphold a decent society. All with absolutely stunning artwork from Federici, Gho, and White. This is a beautiful, haunting work.
| Published by DC Comics - Black Label
Last Stop on the Red Line #4 is very, very weird. We get a peek behind the masks of the monsters and it’s even stranger. There’s a very interesting mix of symbolism and the supernatural where we’re really not sure where one begins and the other ends. This was a very unique series from Paul Maybury, Sam Lotfi, and Adam Pruett.
| Published by Dark Horse
Mall #3 goes even harder into inter-faction warfare as it seems like all of the groups are at one another’s throats. Great world-building here from Michael Moreci, Gary Dauberman, Zak Hartong, Addison Duke, and Jim Campbell, with some interesting plot developments.
| Published by Vault
Manor Black #4 concludes the series as we see what essentially amounts to order vs. chaos as the old blood takes on wild magic. This doesn’t feel so much as a conclusion as an end to a chapter of a wider arc, leaving much unresolved. Hopefully we see more. The artwork from Tyler Crook is phenomenal.
| Published by Dark Horse
Marvel Zombies: Resurrection #1 is really damn good. Phillip Kennedy Johnson, Leonard Kirk, Guru-eFX, and Travis Lanham kick off this series with a new angle on the Marvel Zombies, playing up more on the horror angle, with a truly terrifying spread of the disease through a new vector. Gorgeous artwork from Kirk and Guru-eFX.
| Published by Marvel
Monster Planet #1 is the kind of thing that you used to see regularly published by Image and Top Cow, the military action comic that throws in horror elements, from Joe Brusha, Marcelo Mueller, Maxflan Araujo, and Taylor Esposito. It’s not bad, setting up a world where humanity has been turned into dinosaur-like beasts and the remnants of society need to turn to classical monsters for help.
| Published by Zenescope
The Necromancer’s Map #3 takes a bit of a different approach, giving us a fair amount of action as Tristan’s Will catch up with Bethany and co. as well as some great character building in between the action. Great stuff from Andrea Fort, Michael Christopher Horn, Sam Beck, Ellie Wright, and AndWorld Design.
| Published by Vault
The Plot #2 is wonderful horror storytelling from Tim Daniel, Michael Moreci, Joshua Hixson, Jordan Boyd, and Jim Campbell. Very creepy build of supernatural events once Chase Blaine and his family arrive back at his ancestral home. Hixson and Boyd’s presentation of the black, gooey masses are also disturbing.
| Published by Vault
Queen of Bad Dreams #5 concludes this excellent series from Danny Lore, Jordi Pérez, Dearbhla Kelly, and AndWorld Design. Rather interesting confrontation with and revelations about Eleanor Chase here.
| Published by Vault
Red Goblin: Red Death #1 is a one-shot featuring three stories set during Norman Osborn’s tenure as the Red Goblin at the end of Dan Slott’s run on Amazing Spider-Man. It’s kind of weird that it doesn’t instead tie-in with current events in Absolute Carnage, but it’s not bad for what it is. The art of the first two stories from Pete Woods is great.
| Published by Marvel
Relics of Youth #2 is even better than the first issue, delving deeper into the mysterious tattoos that the kids have been branded with and their connection to the island that they’ve landed on within the Bermuda Triangle. Matt Nicholas, Chad Rebmann, Skylar Partridge, Vladimir Popov, and AndWorld Design are telling a very compelling adventure here.
| Published by Vault
Roku #1 begins another mini-series focusing on one of the luminary villains in the Valiant Universe, this one from Cullen Bunn, Ramón F. Bachs, Stéphane Paitreau, and Dave Sharpe. It’s full of action and intrigue as Roku is hired by an unknown client to retrieve...someone. Things get more interesting as a new face stands in her way and we find out the unusual nature of the target.
| Published by Valiant
The Sandman Universe Presents: Hellblazer #1 is a homecoming of sorts for John Constantine, back to his old haunts alongside some of the other Vertigo corner of the DC Universe. Si Spurrier, Marcio Takara, Cris Peter, and Aditya Bidikar spin a yarn that reconstitutes John after a massive magic war led by an evil Tim Hunter. How exactly the pieces fit are anyone’s guess, but it’s a brilliant darker take resetting him here.
| Published by DC Comics - Black Label / The Sandman Universe
Savage Avengers Annual #1, though largely a self-contained story, is still integral to Conan’s adventure through the Marvel universe and the overall narrative as he, Hellstorm, and Black Widow stumble across a human trafficking ring that bears the marks of Kulan Gath. Gerry Duggan, Ron Garney, Matt Milla, and Travis Lanham deliver a compelling story.
| Published by Marvel
SFSX #2 does further world and character building, showing us just how much has changed since the Party took over, and how utterly betrayed many of the people from the Dirty Mind felt of Avory abandoning them. Very interesting stuff from Tina Horn, Michael Dowling, Chris O’Halloran, and Steve Wands.
| Published by Image
Silver Surfer: Black #5 concludes what has been a very trippy series from Donny Cates, Tradd Moore, Dave Stewart, and Clayton Cowles. There are some very interesting revelations of the past here, and it really makes you wonder about the Surfer’s new incarnation.
| Published by Marvel
Star Pig #4 concludes the series, kind of, from Delilah S. Dawson, Francesco Gaston, Sebastian Cheng, and Shawn Lee. There’s some rather disturbing tentacles in this one.
| Published by IDW
Star Wars Adventures: Return to Vader’s Castle #5 brings an end to this round of the series. I think it’s a perfect approach for some all ages “ghost stories” within the Star Wars universe. Wonderful resolution for the framing story from Cavan Scott, Francesco Francavilla, and AndWorld Design.
| Published by IDW
Tales from the Dark Multiverse: The Death of Superman #1 is the second of these one-shots spotlighting DC events gone horribly wrong, this time giving us a much angrier Lois Lane’s grief at the loss of Superman to Doomsday. Jeff Loveness, Brad Walker, Drew Hennessy, Norm Rapmund, John Kalisz, and Clayton Cowles present her as vengeance against a world that didn’t deserve Superman’s grace, raising some of the questions that you’d often see in The Authority. Only, you know, kind of evil. It’s not bad, but definitely dark.
| Published by DC Comics
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #99 is the extra-sized penultimate chapter of “City at War” as all of the pieces begin falling into place for the grand finale. The story here from Kevin Eastman, Bobby Curnow, Tom Waltz, Dave Wachter, Ronda Pattison, and Shawn Lee feels truly epic and that something huge may just happen next issue. As it is, there’s still a ton of action here, some interesting developments with the Rat King, more disappointment when it comes to Raph, and something new with the mutagenic bomb.
| Published by IDW
Test #5 is very strange. Christopher Sebela, Jen Hickman, Harry Saxon, and Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou end this story as Aleph and Laurel find one another and a new way is planted, but there’s still seeds of something going awry.
| Published by Vault
Venom #19 largely plays out the end bits for the Maker and Dylan’s portions of Absolute Carnage, with some very interesting revelations. It seems like even bigger seeds are being lain for future stories here. Great art from Iban Coello and Rain Beredo.
| Published by Marvel
Witchblade #16 gives us the fight between Alex and Haley, after a few distractions and discursions. The stakes are pretty high here and there are a few rather tense moments as it plays out. Beautiful art from Roberta Ingranata and Bryan Valenza.
| Published by Image / Top Cow
Wonder Woman Annual #3 is largely a flashback tale, set five years ago as Wonder Woman and ARGUS attempt to extract an agent sent to infiltrate Gorilla City to see the legitimacy of Grodd’s rule. What Steve Orlando, V. Ken Marion, Sandu Florea, Hi-Fi, and Pat Brosseau do with is establish a new backstory and interpretation for a very old Wonder Woman foe in a fairly interesting way that even ties in to Event Leviathan. It may strain a bit of credibility for the villainous turn, but that will largely depend on the follow-up.

I’m not going to do this in his voice because that takes more effort than I’m ready for right now... but I am going to do this.
What is your name? His name is Gideon. Sometimes someone with the unfortunate burden of a surname will ask, “Gideon what?” and he’ll stare blankly at them until they shrug uncomfortably and move on.
How old are you? He’s 38 years old when he’s shot in the head by Benny.
What do you look like? Gideon’s a bit of a visual enigma to me. In-game, he kind of just looks exactly like Gabriel, the Lone Wanderer, because it’s a very limited character creator. But I do know that he’s likely tallish and wiry, and he likely keeps his hair short.
Where are you from? Where do you live now? He was born in California. Or, New California. Whatever. I don’t know when “now” is for the purpose of this meme. He eventually leaves the Mojave to trek east with Gabriel, eventually settling in the Commonwealth.
What was your childhood like? Don’t ask him, because he doesn’t remember, and I don’t deem it important enough to create meta-knowledge for it.
What groups are you friendly with? Are you allied with any factions? Gideon has an uncanny knack with people -- individuals, you see -- and that makes him well-known to almost every organised group in the Mojave. They don’t all love him, collectively, but there will always be someone in the group who does.
Tell me about your best friend. That would be Ulysses, eventually. But before they get to that point, he’d name Craig Boone as his best friend. (If we really want to split hairs, I guess Boone still is the best friend, and Ulysses is just an-tet, with all that entails.)
Do you have a family? Tell me about them! No. He’s never really felt the need for one, either, as a family tends to keep a person bound in one place (or, to be esoteric, one self...). He likes his freedom, and the concept of family seems to be antithetical to his understanding of freedom.
What about a partner or partners? I guess for the sake of... vocabulary convenience, that’d be Ulysses.
Who are your enemies, and why? The Legion is his enemy -- and not necessarily because he wants it that way, but because there is no way Caesar would let Gideon live if he could get a hold of him. He really did get out of the Mojave in the nick of time. And I suppose Atom is an enemy, all told, although Gideon really just doesn’t pay him any attention.
Have you ever heard of The Brotherhood of Steel? What do you think about them? He knows about them because he knows Veronica. But they unnerve him and he wants nothing to do with them -- he feels guilty for not wanting anything to do with that part of his friend’s life, but, I mean, we all have those parts of life we want nothing to do with no matter how much we like someone.
What about The Enclave? Gabriel knows more about the Enclave than Gideon does, which doesn’t mean that Gabriel knows a lot, it’s just that Gideon really doesn’t pay any fuckin attention. He’s not concerned with people that, in regard to him and his everyday life, might as well not even exist.
How do you feel about Super Mutants? He avoids them. Completely. He’s never even been to Black Mountain or Jamestown. When he sees one in the wild, he fuckin books it in the other direction. ...It’s kept him alive thus far, so.
What’s the craziest fight you’ve ever been in? That one with Joshua Graham -- not with him, you understand, but the one that he started that Gideon felt compelled to assist him with. Gideon doesn’t consider himself a man of conviction, or ideals, or anything. But that whole debacle really made him wonder what kind of person he was, or what kind of person he wanted to be, or what kind of person Joshua wanted him to be... and, I mean, the existential crisis wasn’t even the craziest part. The Zion battle itself was just all manner of buckwild.
Have you ever fought a Deathclaw? Nope. He watched Gabriel kill one at point-blank range, though, without batting an eyelash. Asked him how the fuck he’d did it but all Gabriel would say is, “Practice. And a good ass gun.”
Do you like fighting? No. No, no, no. He hates it and he avoids it at all costs, which is partly why all his skill seems to be in talking and, uh... extracurricular activities.
What’s your weapon of choice? Other people.
How do you survive? Your wits, your charm, your skills, brute force, some combination? (a.k.a. what’s your S.P.E.C.I.A.L?) Definitely wits and charm. And it sure doesn’t hurt that he can run like the wind.
Have you ever been in a vault? What do you think about them? The vaults give him nightmares. He went into one once and was traumatised for months. Gabriel mocks him for it a lot, because that’s Gabriel for you, but even he’s got to admit that growing up in a vault is at least 75% of the reason why he is the way he is.
How do you beat all the radiation around here? Has it affected you? Gideon’s no Gabriel or Noah when it comes to radiation immunity, but he’s definitely able to withstand more RPS than the average human. Still, he is extremely careful about his rad intake, like anyone who likes living.
What’s your favorite wasteland critter? Definitely geckos. He thinks they’re hysterical, and most of them don’t bother trying to kill him because... you know, I figure the hyper-aggressive nature of in-game animals is mostly just a gameplay mechanic. So it’s cool.
What’s your least favorite wasteland critter? Mole rats. They freak him out so bad. Also, he’s really got to agree with Noah about mirelurks, urgh.
How do you feel about robots? Robots are friends. Of course, friendly/neutral/lawful robots are more commonplace in the Mojave. He’s had to restrain Gabriel on several occasions because Gabriel would try to engage Securitrons, assuming they’d be hostile.
How many caps do you have on you right now? Mind yo’ business.
Nuka Cola or Sunset Sarsaparilla? Definitely Sunset Sarsaparilla. Nuka Cola is way too sweet for him.
Do you do chems? Gideon did Jet once and he was awake for days, hallucinated like a motherfucker, and lived a thousand fucked-up lifetimes in the process. He’s avoided chems ever since. (He’s just extremely sensitive to mind alteration, which makes him an incredibly cheap date.)
Do you ever think about the Pre-War world? He does not. Well, not until he meets 250-year-old Noah, of course.
What’s your deepest regret? What would you do differently? Gideon lives too carefree for regrets. There’s always going to be things he wished he’d said differently (or things he’d wished he’d said at all), or paths he could have avoided if he’d been smarter, or whatever. But there’s no point in him dwelling on those things, when so many things about the present demand his attention and the wisdom he’s earned from those mistakes.
What’s your biggest achievement? Or what do you hope to achieve? I mean, if we’re going to measure achievement by how much effect it has on the world, it’s safe to say that freeing New Vegas from Mr House’s grip and crippling the Legion is probably his biggest accomplishment. But he doesn’t think of it that way -- he thinks what he did was just the grunt work that no one else wanted to, or that no one else could figure out the steps of. The thing he feels the most proud of is that walk he took through the Divide, following the voice of a man he was determined to see eye-to-eye with, despite everything.
What do you want for the future? For yourself? Your friends? The world? He doesn’t think about the world, or the future, or anything like that. He thinks about today, and the day after next, and maybe the day after that if he has to. It seems weird, since a lot of what he’s done for New Vegas seems like the carefully orchestrated machinations of a far-seeing and clever man, but really, sometimes things really just fall into place when you’re earnest and deliberate and occasionally a little forceful. What he wants is to watch the sun rise in whatever part of the US he’s in, to eat the breakfast that Ulysses has undoubtedly made, and to see what odd new things the Wasteland will offer up to test or charm him. Sometimes life really is that simple, even in a post-apocalyptic world.

He softened up to them a bit when he befriended Veronica but was immediately put off of them again when he saw how they were threatening her for wanting to modernise the BoS, as well as their reluctance to modernise. He was left with a bad impression of them when he left the Mojave to go adventure out east. On his journey he befriended several peaceful feral ghouls and decided to relocate them to the Boston Airport. The BoS lost all chance of redemption with Ren when they arrived in Boston with the Prydwen and eradicated the ghouls at the airport

( ‘ROMANCE’ ) HEADCANONS.
NAME, Abbott Wolff NICKNAME, Wolf GENDER, Cis male ORIENTATION, Bisexual, biromantic PREFERRED PET NAMES, Nothing in particular RELATIONSHIP STATUS, This blog is multi-ship, so he’s kinda stuck in a constant state of single & taken LOL FAVORITE CANON SHIP( S ), If you mean canon like with canon fo characters, then i’d say joshua/m!courier six, deacready, boone/arcade and danse/nick. I know I’m weird. But if it’s canon as in actual ships that are in fallout..... fuck if i know. FAVORITE NON-CANON SHIP( S ), Oh gosh I’m such shipping garbage, I ship Wolf with so many canon characters lol. I feel so embarrassed listing them all off. But I might as well air out my dirty laundry-- Wolf/Major Knight, Wolf/Richards, Wolf/Arcade, and Wolf/Vulpes. I’ve been pondering Wolf/Cass. OPINION ON TRUE LOVE, You would think that after all the shit Wolf has been through that he might think true love is silly, but nah. He’s still a hopeless romantic. OPINION ON LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT, It’s not something he experiences often, but he does believe in it. HOW ‘ROMANTIC’ ARE THEY, He’s an absolute sap of the worst kind. At least, in his warmer moments. He likes nicknames, holding hands, sharing letters, cuddling, etc. IDEAL PHYSICAL TRAITS, I mean if we go by the ships I have for him?? He’s into blondes & brunettes, usually about his height or shorter. The only exception being Richards wHO WAS AN OUTLIER AND SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN COUNTED. (im sorry im such a meme) But even so, those aren’t hard rules. He’s very open to people of all kinds of looks. IDEAL PERSONALITY TRAITS, ...I don’t think there’s a single personality trait that Wolf isn’t compatible with?? Because this idiot is so fucking relaxed about everything. He’s been with people of such a wide variety of traits, none like the last, so I can’t say. UNATTRACTIVE PHYSICAL TRAITS, I mean as long as you’re human or ghoul he doesn’t really care much. UNATTRACTIVE PERSONALITY TRAITS, I honestly wish I could say something like “egotistical” or “dishonest” but alas--- Wolf has had partners with such traits, knowing full well they had them. Didn’t deter his attraction. I hate my son. IDEAL DATE, Read to her. She can’t read anymore and misses being able to pick up novels in her down time, so reading something to her would make her incredibly happy. DO THEY HAVE A TYPE, Like I said before, other than having a track record with blondes and brunettes, there has been 0 correlation with any of the people Wolf has dated, is currently dated, or is interested in dating. Dude is compatible with pretty much anybody. AVERAGE RELATIONSHIP LENGTH, Romance wise? He’s a long-term kinda guy. Every relationship he’s had has lasted over a year. PREFERRED NON-SEXUAL INTIMACY, Snuggling and sharing a bed together. COMMITMENT LEVEL, Dude is loyal to the point of casting aside his own feelings & breaking himself in the process. He’s extremely devoted to someone once they’re in a relationship. OPINION OF PUBLIC AFFECTION, He’s 100% for public affection. He loves it. PAST RELATIONSHIPS, I’m still in the process of re-writing some of the details on Wolf’s backstory, but as of right now he’s had 3 long-term partners. Angelo, Valeria & Garrett. Angelo was his first bf, they broke up due to Wolf not having been the greatest at the time. Valeria and him are still friends, they broke up due to differences in relationship goals. He broke things off with Garrett due to being unhappy with him.

Beyblade Burst God: Character Intros
Long time no post ^^; sorry about that~
ANyway... I was on the Beyblade Burst official site downloading one of the free wallpapers when I wondered vaguely if anyone had translated the character introductions on said site. Then I thought, why not do it myself?
So... this may be a work in progress, if more characters are added. There are more than 10 character intros atm, so... I’m putting them under a cut.
AOI VALT CV: Inoue Marina
Affiliation: BC Sol (Spain)
Bright and energetic, this boy is the type to be positive in everything. He tends to act before thinking things through. He brightens his surroundings and makes other people smile. He dreams of becoming the world’s Number 1 Beyblader. Inspired by his rival Shu, he went overseas and joined Spain’s BC Sol. Worldwide, he’s still an unrecognized Blader, but he grows with each battle and becomes someone who influences those around him. Beyblade: God Valkyrie 6V.Rb
