I imagined his species to be nomadic space pirates that only travel in space in family groups. Kalek's a sweet boi unlike a lot of his race, he was space-podded to Earth when Kalek's parents were being chased down by the Galactic Patrol. The Tempra race is very studious, and they knew Earth was a safe stronghold... plus, the Galactic Patrol guy guarding that place is an idiot.

These two go through a lot together, but come out stronger in the end. Truly star-crossed ✨

英語が話せるスタッフとの話題はDua Lipaに留まらず、Rita OraとBebe Rexhaの話で盛り上がって楽しかった🥰

Rita Oraのことは知りませんでしたが、コソボのプリシュティナ出身、ロンドン育ちの歌手らしく、コソボでは憧れの存在なんだそうです。

帰国後に調べてみたら、地元では大変な人っていうのがよくわかりました💦そして、偶然にも私も聞いているメキシコの歌手(1曲だけですが汗)とコラボ曲を出していたことも判明しました🐻

Bebe Rexhaは北マケドニアをルーツにもつアルバニア系の歌手だそうで、2019年にアルバニア地震に際しては、本人が被災地に足を運んで支援をしていたそうです。コソボの出身ではないけれど、コソボの人たちは彼女を誇りに思っているそうです。

Bebe Rexhaの曲で唯一知っているこのコラボ曲。非常にテンポが良いため、私の眠気覚ましとして現在も大活躍中です笑

ぐちゃぐちゃ書いていますが、何が言いたいのかというと、アメリカの音楽はバルカンの女性たちにも支えられていることを感じた夜でした✨

JICA-Funded Transport Initiatives for Sustainable Development

Secretary Bautista, at the helm of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), expressed gratitude for the invaluable support from the Government of Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). He emphasized how this assistance has propelled the Philippines towards sustainable development in the transport sector while fortifying the administration's "Build, Better, More Infrastructure" initiatives.  

Japan's Catalyst for Economic Growth

At the second Department of Transportation (DOTR)-Government of Japan-JICA coordination meeting, Secretary Bautista underscored the pivotal role of JICA's assistance in catalyzing economic growth for the Philippines through inclusive mobility and enhanced connectivity. "We are thus sincerely grateful for your help to improve the mass transport system in our country," Secretary Bautista conveyed, addressing JICA Chief Representative to the Philippines, Takema Sakamoto. During the coordination meeting, the DOTr provided updates on its ongoing infrastructure projects encompassing aviation, railway, maritime, and road sectors.  

Japan's Ongoing Support

As one of the foremost beneficiaries of official development assistance (ODA) from Japan, the bilateral agency is currently funding nine projects valued at P1.5 trillion, involving at least 14 loan agreements. These encompass critical initiatives such as the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) Project, Metro Manila Subway Project (MMSP), LRT-1 Cavite Extension, LRT-2 East Extension, and MRT-3 rehabilitation. In addition to these, JICA's assistance extends to the aviation and maritime sectors. It supports projects like the new CNS/ATM Systems Development Project, the new Bohol Airport Construction, the Sustainable Environment Protection Project, and the Maritime Safety Capability Improvement Project Phases 1 and 2.  

A Dynamic Investment Hub

The transport chief emphasized that the coordination meeting holds significant importance, enabling the Philippines to "position itself as a dynamic investment hub and an emerging gateway country to Asia."  

JICA's Commitment to Philippine Development

JICA Chief Representative Sakamoto reaffirmed the agency's steadfast commitment to aiding the Philippines in infrastructure development, with the overarching goal of enhancing mobility and accessibility across the nation. In conclusion, the collaboration between the Philippines and Japan, facilitated by JICA, continues to pave the way for equitable progress, economic growth, and enhanced connectivity in the Philippines' transport sector.
