I can tell you after playing in bands for 17 years now, Bocchi gets it pretty close. Only thing that didn't ring true as someone who lives in the states is the amps, in japan i guess most people just rent amps across the board....so a highschool band can have 2 marshall jcm900s and an ampeg. Those are $3000 amps. I had a $300 solid state raven combo i bought from samash as my main amp for a decade before i bought my marshall. Tldr bocchi is pretty accurate to my experience of playing in bands in highschool and college, but our guitars were cheaper and sounded worse

#marshall #jcm900 had a failed output transformer. Issue with this era of Marshall is they seem to oscillate no matter which way you put the anode leads on if you put a not terrible output transformer on them. They work fine on a resistive dummy load but oscillate as soon as you put it an inductive one (speaker).
