No one wants to talk about how if James and the Giant Peach was a more recent movie, you all would be thirsting over Mr. Centipede and Miss Spider for VERY different reasons.

Mr. Centipede: Ideal gross tumblr man. Smokes a cigar. Is pathetic. Probably smells like a corpse constantly.

Miss Spider: Will kill you. Is hot. Is woman. Sexy. Also her aesthetic is absolutely on point.

But Ness! All the bugs are attractive in their own right!

I want Earthworm fanblogs.

I want Grasshopper faceclaims.

I want to see someone posting absolutely wild Glowworm love at 3 am because she is a delightful old lady.

I want someone appreciating how pure Ladybug is.

(And this isn't even covering how there's cannon marriages between all the bugs in the original book, and other than Centipede and Spider, the other two marriages come out of absolutely nowhere, but since they all live together it is safe to assume they're poly and putting on heteronormative masks. Especially since the homoerotic tension between Grasshopper and Centipede was absolutely palpable.)

I KNOW YOU HAVEN'T POSTED ABOUT JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH IN A WHILE BUT I JUST GOT THE JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH DISEASE (hyperfixation) AND YOUR THE ONLY PERSON I CAN TURN TOO so uh

do you know where i should start in regard to musical productions of JATGP? I know there are multiple like, "official" productions but i'm not sure where to really find them. Also, which production is your fav?

NONONO I LOVE JATGP!!

I'd be happy to share some productions with you!

My favorite production is definitely Virginia Children's Theatre! All the bugs are AMAZING and Ladahlord DEVOURS!! The costumes are absolutely gorgeous!!

This next production is certainly NOT my favorite with its portrayal of Grasshopper and Ladybug- HOWEVER, James, Earthworm, Spider, and Centipede are absolutely PERFECT. The Centipede traumadump is so chilling and so perfectly intentional! Now, this set is not giving peach in my eyes, and for some reason, they slow down every song, but these people really can sing! (Plump and Juicy is PERFECT)

Here is a high school production that is charming in every way! Ladahlord, Spiker, and Sponge as brilliant!

Here are a few performances that I like but aren't full productions!

I watch this one purely for Plump and Juicy bc it's GOLDEN

Absolutely LOVE that you love Mr.Centipede so much but when I tell you I dropped my phone when he popped up on my tl cos the stop motion character design of that movie used to scare me so bad as a child 😭😭

Centipede really cemented my love of "loveable loud jerks" from such a young age😭💜he's such an ass and i still kinda wanna kith him......
