I had sudden inspiration to write a Javelia vs Ollie fic... So uh enjoy??

     Javi sipped his hot chocolate as he looked through his papers for ideas on his next project before getting startled by the sound of books slamming onto the desk. He looked up to see Amelia in a distressed state where he hair was all over the place and her clothes wrinkled. “Amelia?” he asked with a concerned expression. “Are you alright?”

     Amelia just groaned as she placed her on the desk. “Who knew relationships could be so exhausting?” 

     Javi tilted his head at Amelia. ‘She looks so… lifeless…’ he placed down his hot chocolate and got up then walked towards her direction. “They shouldn’t be exhausting though.” he leaned against her desk and crossed his arms. 

     Amelia looked up at Javi with a confused expression. “They shouldn’t? How so?”

     “Relationships do have ups and downs but the most important thing is to have happiness.” Javi answered

     “Happiness…” The word left Amelia’s lips with no emotion at all but a hint of resentment. “Well, not this time…” She got up and she grabbed her assignment for today then left the building.

     Javi watched Amelia walk away with a worried expression but he couldn’t go console her as he was stuck inside for the day. He whipped out his phone and typed something in the search bar. ‘How to console a person who’s being abused.’

     Amelia walked beside Ollie but she had no energy to give energy for the conversation.

     “So that’s how that works.” Ollie said with excitement.

     Amelia had completely zoned out as she was paying more attention to the park more than the topic Ollie had just finished talking about before something caught her eye. “Is that a ghost?!” she ran towards it.

     “HEY! You didn’t say anything about my conversation!” he ran after her

     She ignored what he said and turned the corner to only be met with disappointment as a magician was practicing his tricks.

     Ollie had caught up and gasped for air before scolding Amelia. “You know ghosts don’t exist so stop running after something nonexistent.”

     Amelia dropped her head and closed her eyes as tears threatened to fall. She wondered for a while of Ollie would change his ways and stop belittling her interests. ‘Is this what a relationship should be?’ she asked herself before she thought of what Javi said. 

     Ollie glared down at Amelia before asking. “Well? What do you have to say for yourself?”

     She clenched her fists as she raised her head and started to yell at him. “I am breaking up with you!”

     Ollie’s expression turned shocked for a moment before he quickly changed it to anger. “What the hell do you mean?! You cannot!”

     Amelia crossed her arms and said with a stern voice trying not to break in front of him. “Yes, I can! I can’t keep going like this. You keep belittling my interests in the paranormal and even go far to stop my hobby and passion!”

     Ollie gritted his teeth as he took a step forward. “Because they don’t exist!”

     Amelia felt small when he took that step forward but kept her ground. “You refuse to understand! Do you know how much of your words hurt me?!”

     Ollie hissed at Amelia’s remark before grabbing her arm digging his nails into her arm. “Because the truth hurts!”

     Amelia groaned in pain and the tears started to form. “That’s not what truth is! That’s called bullying!” she slapped him with all her strength.

     Ollie thought he had ground on this ‘argument’ but he was not expecting to be slapped which caused him to let go of Amelia and fall right on his back.

     “When I needed to be loved all you did was become a jury and a judge! Always judging my passion with disgust and your so-called truth!” her tears started rolling down Amelia’s cheeks. “Javi is right! Relationships are supposed to be filled with passion and happiness!” she wiped her tears but more kept coming. “I can’t believe I fell for your lies!” she turned around and started running to god knows where. She whipped out her phone and texted Javi to meet her at their secret place.

     Amelia dredged up the forest's rough hill as she wanted to be gone off the radar where no one can find her except for Javi. She pushed aside a bush and emerged from the other side where she ended up at a cliff as the sunset overlooked her job, the place she protects as a ranger but most importantly the place that feels like home because of a certain someone that is always there for her.

     Javi ran towards the place as soon as he got the text from Amelia, dodging people as he goes before he arrived at the entrance of the forest. “Hold on, boss. I’ll be there soon.” he wiped the sweat off his forehead before he bolted into a run.

     Amelia’s tears had not stopped since the argument with Ollie. She threw her purse down and stomped forward before screaming out into the open vast area.

     Javi had arrived and spotted Amelia immediately before hearing her scream her frustrations out then walked towards her. “Nice scream. Let me join in too.” he stopped beside her and screamed as well.

     Amelia was a bit surprised as she wasn’t expecting Javi to be here as soon as possible but she felt at ease with him around. She watched as Javi scream as the sunset wrapped around him making him look like the heaven sent down an angel in her time of need which caused her to slightly blush. ‘Wow… He’s so hot.’ she snapped out of it as she shook her head. ‘That was sudden!’ she thought. 

     Javi turned towards Amelia and gave her the warmest smile. “So you figured out what you want and what a relationship is?”

     Amelia clutched the ends of her skirt as she liked that smile of his. “Yes! I know what I want and what a relationship is supposed to be.” she gently grabbed Javi’s sleeve. “This may sound irrational as I just broke up but I want to be your lover.” she drooped her head in embarrassment. “I always thought of you as a lover but Ollie fed me lies and manipulated me into being his girlfriend but I do want to start again with you!”

     Javi is taken aback at what he is hearing and is stunned for a while, going silent.

     Amelia bit her lips as anxiety fills her when Javi became silent in which she pulled her hand back.

     Javi grabbed her hand as he noticed what was wrong and took a step forward with a soft expression. “I would love to be your lover but do you want to take things slow?”

     Amelia’s expression turned to shock as she wasn’t expecting him to grab her hand. She looked up at Javi and a smile crept up on her lips as her heart filled with warmth. “I would love to take it slow. Thank you for looking out for me, Javi.”

     Javi gazed down at Amelia with the biggest and goofiest smile on his face. “Of course, I’m glad you are going to be okay now” he lets go of her hand and sat down then patted the seat next to him before opening his arms, an invitation for a hug.

     Amelia watched Javi before she happily sat next to him and wrapped her arms around his waist. “This is a nice fresh start.” she said with contentment as she placed her head on his chest.

     Javi wraps his arms around Amelia and nuzzles his chin on her head. “I’ll always be at your pace whether slow or fast I will always be here for you, boss.”

Chance and Hunter (aka Javelia’s actors) acknowledged the ship (vvvvv positively <3) but chance said Jamelia soooooo (I’m hurt XD)

Oh wow!!!!! That's amazing!! Us Javelia fans were probably on Cloud 9 at some point!! I'll have to look for that post, I know it's been awhile though (and I super apologize for this late response--yk, for life reasons).

I'm just gonna be biased and say that Javelia is better than Jamelia but I'm not going to say no to that ship name either especially if Chance was the one who said it!

Javelia: Due to your massive influence in art and headcanons and just the general scene that you've painted in my mind about them and what could have been if the producers and directors weren't cowards, I have quite the rotating meat sack of a soft spot for them.

Truly, they should have ended their series as a couple and would have made one hell of a nice pair to look at. Red and Black...when it's not BroTP, it's really rare. And they fit.

Ollaiyon: I tend to go back and forth on them depending on the season. In Dino Fury, I would have been totally okay if they ended up as just roommates, or there was an underhanded remark or hint at them banging on the side. In the aftermath of Cosmic Fury, I would very much appreciate them being each other's snuggle buddy as well as mutual rebound that could actually reasonable make it through into being actually good couple material. I do not like the idea of Aiyon with Zayto (way too much of a broken bridge for that) and Ollie and Amelia are BAD FOR EACH OTHER.

I'm also okay with them being basically the Gimli/Legolas of Power Rangers. All the hints are there, but the author/director, will never say a word.

Fizzy: You'd think since they were actually a canon queer ship I would get more than one bingo out of them, yet because they ARE CONFIRMED CANON I am also weirdly not that in to them? Like, if Izzy was given the opportunity to shine a light proper in Cosmic Fury and Fern got...more in general...I think I would be more inclined to lean in. But they are so...aggressively inoffensive...that they're just this side of kind of boring. They're the Disney's WISH of Power Rangers.

So

It has been brought bck into my mind that Brit (Emily, Samurai) said a few years ago that she thinks of Emily as Bisexual

Her reason was that she knew the show wanted to have the Mike and Emily set up as the main relationship in the show but she felt as though some of the things Mia and Emily did could be seen as date things and Brit and Erika still talk a lot so they made a joke about their characters and one of these include

'I think Emily and Mike just liked eachother because they were always together but Mia and Emily were always together too- so why don't we just say they date later on after Emily and Mike break up'

They kept that joke and soon got Hector involved which he was fine with because he also said

'Just to be clear the breakup was a mutual thing I dont want anyone not believing in love again'

And lets be real you cant convince me that half of Samurai rangers are in the community

So we all (on the live stream) were like alr sure 👍

Also turns out Erika, Brit, Hector and Najee (and i think Steven i cant remember) they'd be up for doing a Samurai reunion thing like a podcast or smth as a little life update with the team

PART TWO FOLKS!!

Season 2

Episode 1= He called her 'boss' more than once. And considering the fact that she had been in charge of buzzblast for months, it wasn't the first time.

Episode 2= ZERO OLLIE AND AMELIA MOMENTS. SAFE TO WATCH. Javelia were standing next to each other.

Episode 3= They were watching a buzzblast tutorial on massaging. Javi glanced at her when she wasn't looking. They were in shock(I mean I would be too, after that painful video). They were isolated from the others. Plus this makes me wonder, was Javi planning to give Amelia a massage? Is that why he was watching with her?😏😏

Episode 4= Amelia popped his balloon and gave him a grin. They were next to each other. They were laughing together.

Episode 6= Javi was nervous to play the guitar, knowing that his dad's ceremony was being held at the same as the concert. But then, BUT THEN, as he watched his friends dance, Amelia gave him a thumbs up, and he smiled, blushed even. And that was when he played his award winning solo.

Episode 8= They were looking at each other at SOME point.

Episode 9= They were standing next to each other and looking at each other.

Episode 11= She did the 'in your face' gesture to Blair(is a he) in support of Javi. And they were standing next to each other again.♥💖♥💖

Javi x Amelia for ships 👀

What is this a joke 😭 I just know this essay is gonna get out of hand asdfghjkasdfghfds

OKAY SO I’m gonna try keeping other ships out of this, so it’s only just taking about Javelia

If you know me, you know I’m OBSESSED with this ship. This one ship that just takes my world by storm because of how badly I got obsessed with it. I don’t even know how it happened.

So you see, we see Amelia and Javi meet for the first time at Buzzblast. That is where the story begins. The “nice harmonica, catchy tune” line— and BOOM! Instant attraction. I believe Amelia saw him as a friend, initially, but she really did care for him— “best friend” even, maybe. But nothing more than that.

Javi, on the other hand, got OBSESSED. Not the bad kind, but the “I think I have a crush on you.” Obsessed. We see him teasing her, we see him showing up in places with her, we see them AS COWORKERS— they’re literally Co-workers OH MY GAWD— and we see them as rangers and as friends.

Javi supports her in her ghost hunting, he never pulls her down. She and Javi have a “we’re both made fun of because of what we like to do” kinda bond, Javi with his music, and his father not letting him live it down, and Amelia with Ollie criticising her every move. They support each other, Amelia acts like the #1 fan of Javi’s music and Javi is always ready for helping her hunt ghosts— he makes a fucking theme song for her ghost hunting programme!!!!! They have a “at least I got you in my corner” vibe to them that drew me to their ship in the first place. This kinda support, this kinda FRIENDSHIP. WHERE DO YOU FIND THAT!!!!

But BUT we see Javi showing the “more than friends” signs, and we see Amelia friendzoning him. If you notice, Javi stops showing the signs after she starts dating Ollie. There is just one??? Two?? Scenes??? Of them??? In the last couple episodes of DF— BECAUSE of what I believe, Javi respectfully abandoning his chase, like Theo did, as I mentioned in the Theo/Lily post— when he realises that Amelia’s affections lie somewhere else.

BUT THEN WE COME TO COSMIC FURY. We come to Amelia’s heartbreak, and we SEE Javi being there for her like no other member of the team is!!!!!! Because you see, Solon and Billy were making the morphers, Aiyon was busy @ Zayto, either looking/worrying for him, or with him. Izzy was with Fern. THESE TWO. HAD NOBODY ELSE. Only each other. And I believe, the bond forged in forced intimacy is the greatest bond of all, because it reminds you of the trauma you’ve suffered, and all of the things you went through together.

Amelia was hurt. Javi was injured. And Ollie was evil. The situation works out with such perfection, that when Amelia takes the role of The Red Ranger, JAVI, automatically, becomes her second in command. Now we all know how much I like the Leader x Second in command trope. Javi pitches ideas, he follows behind her, he acts as THE support system a leader needs in case things go awry.

But that’s not where this ends, you see? Because feelings MIGHT develop between them during all of this, but Amelia still has a boyfriend(?). Javi is still “that dorky friend” of hers in her mind.

THAT changes when he loses his arm. She gets respect for him, because all of Dino fury, Javi was just the “sexy lamp” of the team, the guy who crushed on Amelia, and “Izzy’s brother.” He did not have a proper standing of his own, but the way he goes out of the way to sacrifice himself? That opens a new avenue of his personality TO HER. It makes HER realise that “oh my god, I’ve been looking at a diamond in the rough, this entire time.” Because sacrificing yourself isn’t easy. Offering yourself for sacrifice TWICE?

Yes. Yes, that’s the turning point of Javi and Amelia’s relationship. The moment in episode 9, when Javi chooses to sacrifice himself, ONCE AGAIN. When he tells her, in episode 10, that he made it through once, he can do it again? And she looks at him with that “but at what cost, Javi?” And he laughs and tells her he’ll be okay? THAT WORRY IN HER EYES?!! THAT EXPRESSION THAT SMILE?!!? That was the moment Amelia realised she had not only fallen for him, but that she had fallen SO HARD. That she not only “loved him”, now, she also respected him more than she had EVER respected him in the past.

I feel like that RESPECT formed the basis of their bond after that. That they probably never went back to being “just friends.” Because while Javi had respectfully abandoned his chase, Amelia realised she could not let him go. He wasn’t someone she could EVER let go. All because of the way he had acted when things went awry.

While she stepped up to take the leadership of the team, he stepped up to offer himself for the taking. THAT forged their bond harder than steel. They were never going back.

I still feel like after cosmic fury, it takes them a little time to figure out their feelings, but eventually, they do. The love and worry Amelia’s eyes spoke no lies at that moment, and Javi too saw it. ONCE AGAIN ITERATING the Hindi dub made Javi say HE WAS *hER* JAVI

So yes, Tl;dr, they started out as friends, but situations made themselves so that they could not remain friends. They fell in love. Their love was too strong.

I SHIP IT OKAY 😭😭😭 They’re my #1 OTP.

RANDOM THOUGHT but

What if, after Cosmic Fury, when Amelia gets together with Javi, she's skeptical that he'll also turn evil and be taken away from her and try to kill her?? Because so far, her experience has been horrible, everyone she loves becomes eViL and tries to kill her... she doesn't want that to happen with Javi too.

"I'd not be able to live with myself if something happened to you too..."

And Javi just thinks she's being paranoid, simply because, "Pop Pop never turned evil, now, did he? and I think you love him more than any person in the entire universe"

Javi's smile and his reassurances always soothe her down. He's the only one who makes her believe, even if its for a little time until she starts overthinking, that she's not "Cursed to bring doom to everyone she loves"

May I request some Javelia headcanons, now that Cosmic Fury is out?

This became a “how Javi and Amelia got together after Cosmic Fury: Sky’s headcanons, a List”, somehow, and I’m not even sorry for it—

During Cosmic Fury, in the days when they were stranded on Erridus, to spend time and to keep them occupied, Amelia asked Javi to teach her guitar. That’s how she knew how to play, when they went masquerading as meat chrome. Neither felt it, at the time, but that’s where Amelia started developing feelings for him.

That and when he sacrificed his arm, and offered to go through it all AGAIN, when it came to save the universe. Single handedly, (pun intended—) Javi’s stature increased in her eyes~

Javi had been in love with Amelia, for almost two years, but in cosmic, he learns that the infatuation he had for her was indeed pointless. That was right around when he lost his arm, but the feelings come back, hitting him like a bulldozer, when he sees this side of Amelia, the leader, the one, who, although emotionally a wreck herself, is holding herself together for the sake of their team. Javi falls in love with her all over again, but this time, it’s so much more.

Of course, they’re both mature adults NOW who know it’s not okay to act on their feelings. When Amelia actually confesses, he tells her that she should re-check her feelings after they get Ollie back. If they’re real, the feelings are gonna be there even after Ollie comes back.

Amelia never tells this to Javi, but the six months she had with Ollie, they realised they weren’t the best compatible. The two of them were trying to save their relationship, trying to do everything necessary to —involving, but not restricted to getting new haircuts together— but the Zedd Crisis (that’s what they start calling it afterwards) served as the final blow to the relationship. Amelia wanted things to work out with Ollie, but deep down, the both of them knew there was just… something that didn’t click.

They tried again after the Zedd Crisis, but something seemed even more wrong than before, now…

In the meantime, Javi quit working at Buzzblast, after the Zedd Crisis. He starts paying full attention to his music. Amelia, who had initially thought her feelings for him would go away, starts missing him. Missing him, that’s as bad as heartache.

She finds herself humming his songs, she finds herself gazing longingly at the now empty desk in front of her, hoping he would walk in, plop in on the seat, put his feet up, and say something so dumb it would make her laugh— only she wasn’t sure she would laugh anymore. She feel sure she would blush.

I’m gonna rush this bit without drama- she and Ollie talked about this, and decided to end things, realising their loves lie in different people, Javi and Aiyon respectively— and she finally confesses to Javi. (Fic? Yes.)

And ah yes, true love’s kiss. This one has an entire story of it’s own.

After Cosmic Fury, sometimes, oftentimes, Javi, when he got overwhelmed with people, with his own life, with having to deal with his prosthetics, would teleport to Erridus. They had bad memories associated with this planet, but it had had such beautiful nights, and such peaceful moments, that Javi didn’t even realised how this place became his place—A place he knew nobody could reach him, a place where he could be alone, and at peace.

He didn't know how Amelia found out about the spot, but she did. She somehow found him out, and she confessed to him there itself, in the desert, under the stars. :3

It became their spot... their little uninhabited planet, someplace only they knew of, a new hideaway. It was a lot more relaxed and easy to be here now that there was an easy way home.

Javi moved out as his music career took off, and he was able to afford an apartment near the studio he worked at, mostly to save the commutation charges, and to get away from his dad, who was still a little bit, if not a lot, annoying about his career choice.

Amelia moved in with Javi very soon after, Pop Pop now living with Tarrick and Santaura, and not being completely dependent on his granddaughter.

They really like living together. They’re both very weird. Amelia likes the taste of the weirdest stuff, and Javi is more than happy to make it for her, even if he will NEVER take a bite of it himself (re: flargon cake), he’s MESSY, and she tries to teach him to clean up after himself, sheet music EVERYWHERE, but then realises there’s no point. They make an arrangement: Javi makes all the messes in one room, lets Amelia keep the other rooms of the apartment clean. They share the rent, they go out to get groceries together, they have a lot of sappy cute spicy and happy time together.

So yeah~ bottom line, THEY ARE TOGETHER. THEY ARE HAPPY. The most beautiful ending to cosmic fury~

And yes. Yes they’re still rangers together.

+ Bonus:

Javi NeVeR called Amelia “Jones” in cosmic fury, as almost everyone else on the team does~ my fave Javelia headcanon remains that Javi’s favorite endearment for Amelia is STILL “boss”. He never actually changed that, because he low-key loves to say that. She might not be his boss at Buzzblast anymore, but she TECHNICALLY is, when they’re rangers~

She poked her head out of the kitchen door once more and grinned, “long story short, Javi rode, Javi fell, Javi found cat, cat liked Javi, we brought cat home”

“Nawww” Javi whined, “that’s not fun. That’s like not fun at all. Let me continue”

“No”

“yes.”

“No, Javi, I got the gist of it” Izzy rolled her eyes, because she knew if she let Javi continue with the story, it was going to take another few years to finish it.

“Come on, Iz… let the man tell his story” Fern, forever supportive, walked in, holding the cat in her hands while the cat looked extremely puzzled. Fern set the cat down on Izzy’s lap, immediately eliciting a panic response from the little animal, and seconds later, the cat was five feet in the air, a scratch mark was on Izzy Garcia’s cheek and Javi was on his feet, trying to catch Mr. Meow Meow.

Javi could not catch Mr. Meow Meow.

The cat landed on the black rug and immediately camouflaged in. Neither of the three adults in the room could spot him, and they were all looking.

"Seeing you first thing in the morning after walking down the stairs from our shared bedroom--I think we can both agree on a two-story walk-up with a rug in bright blue water tones with salmon stitched to look like they're swimming up the stream--might be the high light of our future. My future, your future. You in a fluffy beige apron, my oversized t-shirt underneath, no shoes and no socks, light coming in from the window highlighting how your hair is in a floppy-sloppy bun. Seeing you chopping onions and cheese and garlic, humming out the latest pop song circulating on your music player while bopping around with a sharp knife like it's nothing... Would you let me hug you from behind? Would you accept kisses along your shoulders and the back of your neck? Would you kiss me back despite my morning breath, and my messy hair, and how awful my bed clothes look?" --Javi's nth love letter to Amelia.

Amelia held the letter in her hands, she was giggling at the cheesiness of her fiancé. There was something so pure about it, something almost ethereal, that he’d captured in the picture he’d created with words, painted for her to see, and enclosed it in a little baby pink envelope, with the words “loving you, forever and always, Javi” sealing it. Amelia looked at it, turned it around and over, again and again and again, then read it once more, before giggling and shoving it under her pillow, put her feet up in the air, and kicking nothing in particular, and squeaking like a little child, her face in her hands.

She didn’t know how many of these little love letters she’d found slid under her doorway, since she had gotten to know Javi, even before they had started dating, about three summers ago, but she knew this, there was something in them, that every single time she received one, she ended up giggling like a little girl, and reading it, she felt a blush move up, into her cheeks, and then amelia.exe stopped functioning.

There was such a calm in her bedroom, everything felt so pastel, so mellow, like the future would be perfectly safe, perfectly beautiful.

Just like how Javi wrote about it, in his letters.

Amelia stared at the rain pouring outside, relentless in its approach, just as Javi was. It felt as musical as Javi’s voice, as Javi’s laugh.

She could hear some noise downstairs, someone shuffling about, moving furniture around— probably her parents, trying to make space for her baby sister to crawl, but Amelia really didn’t care. Her mind was filled with happy thoughts. She was thinking about how she should reply back to him.

This was their little ritual, once a month, sometimes twice, sometimes thrice, Amelia found a little note in her mailbox, under her bed, anywhere, really, delivered either by hand, or by the mailman, or by friends, from Javi, containing some… thoughts… Back when they had been friends, she’d been sitting at Buzzblast, watching one of the old documentaries, where love letters were carried by pigeons and doves in the medieval times, and the hopeless romantic in her had started daydreaming about letters— which was immediately shattered by the realist Ollie, who quickly chipped in with a “with modern technology today, who even writes letters?” It wasn’t ill-intended, Ollie didn’t even know Amelia had been thinking about this stuff, but somehow, somehow, Javi noticed her face fall, at the remark, and placed a palm on her hand, reassuringly, not even saying anything, but sure enough, a week later, there was a little letter sitting in her rusted mailbox, signed “Love, forever your bestie, Javi”

He’d been talking about the most random things in that, but eventually, with her replies, with their rhythm building, with everything going on, as it did, they had fallen in love. Maybe through the letters, maybe by living in the world they saw through each other’s eyes, hand written in those letters, maybe with the ink splotches and the cuts and crosses and misspelt words.

And once they’d started dating, the content changed. Javi talked about her, he talked about how their life could be, together, building up sandcastles which could easily be washed away, romantic poetry, drafts of his songs, and still, still, the same little things that they used to talk about, before they were romantically together.

The platonic letters turning into love letters was something Amelia had adored, because the shift hadn’t been sudden. It had been slow, as if diffusing slowly, beautifully, into each other. Just as their relationship had.

Amelia then sat down to write something for Javi— a response to his love letter, and basically make an alphabet soup of all the feelings bubbling up inside her.

“Do you ever think of how we met? How… by chance it was? To think if someone else had auditioned for that job at Buzzblast on that day— or you had been a day late, or *I* hadn’t been there for Zayto’s interview… none of this would’ve happened?

I’ve come to this point where I can’t imagine my life without you. You’re the best thing that ever happened to me, and I just wanna say… you’re mine. And you’ll always be mine”

Amelia scratched a few lines off the paper, knowing fully well she wasn’t as amazing with words and flowery language and at conveying the absolute beauty of their relationship, as Javi was, but she knew that whatever she’d write, Javi would only smile at it, giggle at it, hold it against his chest, and then stuff it into a drawer so he could read it fifty more times in a week.

“Do you really think I’d wake up before you? I think I’d wait for you to kiss me first thing in the morning when you wake up, even if I’m already awake. I’d just lie in bed waiting for you to wake.

Do you think yellow is a good color for the living room wallpaper? I saw this beautiful yellow design with a floral block print and a sunny feel to it and I think it’d look hella extremely pretty.

I keep thinking of the songs you wrote for me. And I can’t wait for you to come and hug me from behind when I’m stirring coffee, surprising me— though I don’t think I would be surprised, because you’d keep humming the tunes, and I’d know you’re coming. I want to go grocery shopping in our matching pyjamas— we both know we’re going to get them. Yours can be pink. You deal with pink even better than I do~

I want all of your flaws, honey, I’ve loved you for three summers, and I want them all. I want all your stupidities and I want all that is best in you. I want your everything, and I hope you’d want mine too. That you wouldn’t turn away, when we have fights, if I scream or shout at you. I can’t bear the thought of losing you.

This is the life I want, Javi. And I want it with you, and you only.

Sliding it into one of the many envelopes she’d bought in bulk from the dollar shop, doodling some hearts, some ghosts, and some things the internet called ‘kawaii’, Amelia didn’t want to wait for the downpour to stop, and she raced through the rain to post the letter, impatient as always, blowing a little kiss to it, before dropping it into the red mail-box.

Walking back home, hearing her mom yelling about how she shouldn’t go out into the rain just like this, Amelia grinned. What were these old people to know, of the magic of love letters. And how keeping it with yourself before posting only increased the anxiety with it.

Amelia really didn’t do anything else except reading Javi’s letters all evening.
