For today's post, I wanted to talk about a singer that really impressed me, you probably have in mind the Orange ad with the musical background "Oohe, Makeba Makeba ma che bella, Can i get a Oohee Makeba".

This is Jain, a French singer-songwriter born in Toulouse who sings in English. She is characterized by a unique style, mixing roots and modernity, His album Zanaka ( which means childhood in Malagasy), which pays tribute to his origins, is certified diamond disc in France in December 2018. At the time of its release, the album conquered the public, and we will see titles such as Come and Makeba ( In relation to Miriam Makeba, a Malagasy artist who marked Jain).

The track Come was able to rise to No. 1 in the Top Singles France, for 2 weeks ( 21/12/2015 - 28/12/2015). She plays her album on the biggest stages worldwide ( Coachella, Solidays..), she receives the title of Victory of the female artist of the year in 2017. Rich of her travels and her experiences of life in the countries she has known, (France, Dubai, Congo...) she performs in a style that is a mixture of Pop, electro, reggae and music of the world, her energy, her pen that conveys a message of peace, gives a new breath to the world of the Pop, especially in France. Speaking about the universal side of her music, Jain says “We moved a lot because of my parents' jobs, and it was amazing to live in countries so different from one another, but still with music all around. I've been to India, Jordan, South Africa, Namibia, Senegal, Australia, Madagascar, Oman, The States, and a lot of countries in Europe, just to visit... I wanted to make music to connect all of these influences, and make a multicultural music with these experiences.” Her success is also due to her musical entourage, including Yodelice with whom she has worked closely. Jain is back in 2018 with the album Souldier which directly enters in first place of the top album France, and came out only on August 24, 2020.
