@devine-fem 's comment on my last original post, I can't believe I've never mentioned how much I love Roy Harper before, I should amend that immediately /j
I love like... everything about him. Roy Harper in the golden/silver ages? Absolute baby, I adore him. He had SO much trust in Ollie, and he was a sweetheart! He was the secretary of the Green Arrow fan club! He had a stamp collection! And even as a small child he was SO unhealthy, like my go to panel is this
Tumblr media
Which is literally baby Roy willing to sacrifice his life to save Ollie, baby boy was going into that with FULL belief that he was going to die and he did it anyway and there's SO much I could say about that. I love Ollie, I've defended him in so many situations, but holy shit he raised a child to have issues. But little Speedy Roy was the sweetest thing!!! He wanted Ollie to pick him up ice cream!! He was just a little guy, a little fella!!
And then Snowbirds came along and obviously changed the way Roy was written, it was a major turning point for his character because it was really the comic that initially fleshed him out- before then yes obviously he did have his own distinct personality that differentiated him from the other Titans but at the same time that was VERY clearly a point in which he went from being a traditional child sidekick to being Roy. It gave him his own morals, his own struggles, and his own determination. Remember, Roy made the choice himself to get clean, he wasn't forced into it. Obviously Snowbirds has its problems, it was a PSA written in 1971, but also it was sosososososo foundational in developing who Roy is as a character.
There weren't too many comics featuring Roy between Snowbirds and Lian's birth, but they are also so interesting. I'm pretty sure it's Green Lantern (1960) #100 but also I'm rambling and I'm too drunk to fact check so I'll reblog tomorrow if I'm wrong but there's an issue where Roy goes back to Star City and you can SEE his desperation to be a hero, you can see his determination, and it's so beautifully written and in the epilogue Ollie tries to have a talk with him, tries to make amends after what happened and you'd EXPECT that Roy would take that, that it'd be water under the bridge, but Roy has his own agency and he fucking leaves!!! Because he's not ready to make up with Ollie and he has his own agency!!!
And then the second big turning point in Roy's career is when Lian is introduced, and you can SEE how much of an impact she has on him as a character! At the end of The Cheshire Contract Roy says he thinks Lian is gonna change him and he was right! She does! He goes to Ireland and meets Moira and Buttons (I think those are their names? Again, not fact checking this post) and looks after them and that's the start of his development as the "dad Titan", and he loves Lian so much!!
Tumblr media
This panel from Rocks and Hard Places makes me SO emotional because he loves her!!! She's the most important person in his life!!! Plus his relationship with Jade is SO compelling to me, because he loves her and he'll always love her and she loves him too (even if a lot of writers have done their best to make that not the case- I love Jaderoy and I will always love Jaderoy)
And he's also generally such a good guy, I don't have the panel screenshotted and I can't remember the issue but there's that New Titans issue where Kory kills someone and she tries to justify it to Roy and he's just like "you don't need to explain it to me" and I wish his friendship was explored with her more because they had SO much potential as friends.
And then and he's SUCH a good mentor figure, like in New Titans #116 which is my go to issue for anything mentor Roy related because it's SO GOOD! He's constantly trying to wind the kids back to make sure they're okay, telling Terra II to not get too cocky, making sure Grant's okay (and the "yeah no wonder I'm in charge" panel when Grant suggests blowing Gar up is my favourite) and expressing genuine concern when Bart attacks Kyle recklessly and I WISH his relationship with Bart and Terra II had more susbstance because it's so good
Then there's the Arsenal Special which is really the comic which explains WHY he's called Arsenal!!! I've made so many posts about this comic and I love it so fucking much because he fucking takes all those guys out with only shit he can find then takes all their weapons and loads them onto himself while giving a badass monologue which, from memory, goes something like "he thinks I was was sent here to kill his daughters. Well guess what, I have a daughter too. So it all comes down to his daughters or mine. Who gets to think their daddy's a hero, or some thing that crawled out of the dirt. Get it through your head, 'cus it ain't gonna be mine". I love him. I love him so much.
Then there's Teen Titans (1996) #12-15 which I recently made a post about but it's a comic I'm SO greatful to have physical copies of because it's so fucking good for Roy stuff. There's so much on how others percieve him- I love the fab five, but they (well, the boys, Donna wasn't in it because she was mourning Robbie's death) have such a derogatory view of Roy. Like Dick's "he's good but not good enough" and Wally's view of him as not good enough to lead (which is brought up again in Titans 1999 secret files), and the constant references to Roy's addiction in that comic. Then he gets his Green Arrow inspired suit (very Red Arrow of you, late 90s) which he brings on to the Arsenal mini, and his whole fascination with the suit because his biggest dream is being good enough for Ollie, he IS way more than good enough for Ollie which was clear even from the end of Snowbirds but my boy has issues, and then Joto dies because of the explosive arrow he fires which IMO should have fucked him up more than it did but it also absolutely did fuck him up at least in that comic and in the Arsenal mini and there's probably more I could link that too but again, I'm drunk.
And then there's the Arsenal mini. Holy fuck I love the Arsenal Mini. it's so fucking good for like, all his familial relations in the Arrowfam in the late 90s. The flashbacks to Dinah and Roy during Snowbirds and Dinah's "the bravest person I ever met was the one who was flawed" speech, that panel of him resting his head on Dinah's shoulder, the fact that that entire story was fueled by his love of Lian, his talk with Connor about Ollie and how Roy never wanted to be Green Arrow he just wanted Ollie to have asked? It's so fucking beautiful and I love it. And the fact that he WAS gonna team with Vandal to save Lian, he's a father first and a hero second, but he thought about it and decided that there had to be a way to be both and he was right!!! He's so insanely good and I love him, he has a reputation of being a bad boy but he is SUCH a hero it's beautiful.
Then comes Titans '99 which I really can't do justice just talking about. He's so incredible in it it's insane. Like his father/son dynamic with Grant is so beautiful to read, he loves that boy!!! He loves that boy like he's his own flesh and blood and I will take no criticism!!! And his relationship with Donna is so painful to read in that comic because he's such a romantic and even though their relationship was gonna fail from the beginning because of the nature of it and because of Donna's reasons for it he still kept on it because he loved her!! He loves her so so much that he's willing to have his own heart broken for her and good god my boy is unwell. Plus it's the peak for Roygarth, their relationship in it is so great and their talk in issue 16 is amazing and I love it, plus Roy's genuine heartbreak at the possibility of Garth being dead just gets me. And while it's overshadowed by Outsiders, there is a lot of Dickroy potential in Titans 1999, Dick being so loving towards Lian with the "yumyumyumyum" panel in issue 1 and him generally just being one of the closest people in Roy's life, plus Roy being one of the only people who are willing to actually call Dick out on his BS and that being the thing that breaks that out of purgatory? Chefs kiss
And who would I be without mentioning Green Arrow 2001. I'm tired now so I'm not gonna talk about Archers Quest but I can't not talk about Boys Night Out because!!! He's so good in it!!! His speech to Connor that sounds SO much like a coming out acceptance speech, taking Connor to a bookshop despite his own boredom because he wants Connor to have a good time, the brotherly teasing while Connor's driving, him calling Connor out and supporting sex workers, him protecting Connor... it's the perfect issue. Anyone who hasn't, please read Green Arrow (2001) #32, it's so fucking good I promise.
And finally (and I mean finally as in I cba to talk about Red Arrow because I'm getting sleepy), Outsiders which is. So fucking good. Oh my god. Like him forming a team just to help support Dick through Donna's death, the fact that once again he's underestimated but this time Dick stands up for him, him getting shot and getting PTSD because of it (Oursiders 2003 #11 love of my life), everything that happens in this run is SO FUCKING GOOD AND I LOVE ROY HARPER!!! And for once he actually stands up for himself when he's called a junkie!!! He punches Dick in the face!!! As he fucking should king!!! And issue 45 (I think?) Is the best because it's. So good for him and Lian. His protectiveness over her, his love for her, and her being able to see when he's not okay. Beautiful outstanding and incredible.
In conclusion I LOVE Roy Harper because he's the best dad in the world, he loves everyone so much and will never stop, and he's just. Such a good person. I love him. I love him a lot.

Not a request! I just wanted to talk about the boy. I kept thinking abt Arven when listening to Everything She Wants by Wham. Not because I think hed relate but because he'd probably hate the song to the core. It was probably reminiscent of his parents' dynamic with each other. That and George Michael would be a great voicecast for Arven cause retro guys with blonde hair and a dramatic air to them??? Cmon!!!! I just know he has a smooth voice. Its not soft or inaudible either, I just think his voice would be a little breathy and velvety. Not to mention if you heard those noises wantonly oh arceus
OOOOO I like this. Again I still think j groff is the best fancast but I can absolutely hear George Michael!!!
Also leave it to THE catbed0 to inspire me to write. This is small and dumb but I hope it makes someone laugh.
Thoughtless Murmuring
Arven x reader, arven pissed you off and he's gonna try to do something about it. No gendered pronouns used to describe reader
"Hey! Hey, over here!" Nemona waved frantically from her booth in the corner of the bar as you and Arven entered.
The moment you saw her, you turned and made a beeline to her, completely disregarding your boyfriend who seemed to unsuccessfully reach for your hand.
You plopped down into the booth with a huff, displeasure evident on your features.
"What's got you upset?" Penny asked as she sipped from her drink.
"Don't wanna talk about it." You retorted, biting back most of your current frustration.
Nemona and Penny shared a look between them for a long moment before shrugging and letting the subject drop, so they could return to their previous conversation.
Just being near them helped dissipate some of your anger, and slowly you began to relax and join in.
That is, until Arven returned from the bar, a drink in each hand. One for himself and one for you.
You took the glass without a word or a look, and promptly went back to ignoring him, much to his dismay.
"So..." Nemona asked, trying to keep things cordial. "Think you're up for karaoke tonight?"
You rolled your eyes at the thought. "Absolutely not. No one ever sounds good doing karaoke anyw-"
"Up next," The DJ interrupted you over the speaker. "We have...Arven! Come on up, Arven! Your song is queued and ready to go!"
You let your head fall into your crossed arms on the table with an exaggerated groan as your boyfriend gave Nemona and Penny a grin, standing to go over to the karaoke stage.
He took the microphone in his hands and nodded to the DJ. Only then did the music begin, a saxophone solo reverberating through the bar.
Arven crooned the opening melisma before the lyrics began in earnest. True to form, he didn't sound exactly like the original artist (how could he anyway without a studio? Karaoke isn't fair.), but he did a good enough impersonation that folks nearby shouted their approval.
He sang a line about taking your hand and leading you to the dance floor, going as far as to leave the stage, mic in hand, to reach for you, but you huffily turned away, not playing his stupid game.
Arven wasn't deterred, continuing to sing through the chorus, lamenting that he'll never dance again due to his guilt.
Through the instrumental breaks, the crowd cheered him into dancing those stupid dances his does in the kitchen sometimes, where he sways his hips in a rocking kind of motion that's anything but sexy, but with this song? Ugh. What a fucking ham.
You hid your face again, having momentarily forgotten your anger while watching him.
Nemona and Penny were both enraptured by the performance as Arven belted out lyrics meant just for you about how he'll never get over his guilt.
The crowd yelled for more as the music eventually faded, and Arven took his bow, returning the mic to its stand.
He slid back into the booth next to you, jostling you playfully. "C'mon... You can't be that mad after a performance like that."
"Really!" Nemona agreed enthusiastically. "What'd he do anyway that's got you so pissy?"
You grumbled into your arms.
"What was that?" Nemona asked. "Speak up."
"He stole my fucking garlic bread."
---
(if it wasn't abundantly obvious, this is the song he sang lmao)

🌟 Mini Interview 🌟
Thanks for the tags @creepkinginc, @shinygalaxyperson, and @crossmydna! I need a little pick me up this Monday morning before I dive into my math homework!
What are some movie / tv quotes that you quote often? The Office, 30 Rock (I want to go to there, working on my night cheese, etc), Jay and Silent Bob, New Girl, mostly.
What is your favorite flower? Orchids and ranunculus.
If you were in Avatar: the Last Airbender, what element would you want to bend? Earth, fire, water, or air? Definitely fire, let's burn this all down and start again (looking directly at you white christian patriarchy).
What was your first job? A bagel shop! I was 14 and couldn't handle the pressure!
What is your favorite breakfast? oh geez, I LOVE breakfast food. Mmmm, I will go with blueberry pancakes and some crispy bacon and a hot cup of coffee! On a chilly Maine morning in late August, perfecto!
What's a meal from childhood that you love? The most sentimental dishes are a specific meatloaf recipe from my dad's family, and kimmelweck (a vinegar braised beef sandwich) from my mom's.
What's your favorite joke to tell? My party trick is mostly gross medical stories.
What's your favorite animal to see at the zoo? I gotta say I have an issue with zoos 😬 BUT seeing giraffes and elephants never fails to impress me!
What's your go to quick meal to cook / make at home? good old fashioned PB&J! Pickle chips on the side please.
What's your go to meal to cook someone to impress them? Probably braised short ribs over mashed potatoes or cauliflower.
What's something you want to do better? Help my kid with his emotions! Be more disciplined with school work! Be more organized!
If you're working do you like your job? I work with the most amazing team! The healthcare system is very frustrating, but I find a lot of satisfaction in caring for others.
Do you collect anything? What? Memes. Especially anti-anti-vaxx memes!
If you were trapped in a kids tv show, what show would you be okay with being trapped in? Honestly, Paw Patrol. Those pups are so cute and so quick to a rescue!
An adults tv show? I want to be a regular at Nick Miller's bar. Or at the alibi. I love a good bar!
What kind of job did you want as a child? Well I grew up in the 90's so a marine biologist.
Do you follow any sports? What team do you root for? My husband is a big motocross fan, I don't really follow the stats or whatever, but going to races is AMAZING people watching.
If you could be any animal, what would you be and why? Probably some sort of bird.
If you could be any mythological creature what would you be and why? I am going with Pegasus because that just sounds cool as fuck.
What's the most obscure thing you've had to google for a fanfic you were writing/reading? I mostly have asked my husband penis-related questions. I am just curious how accurate we all are!
What Milkovich do you identify with most? Mickey! Had to break some familial chains, defy expectations a lil bit. Fell crazy in love with a dude.
Which one are you actually like the most? Probably Iggy, I can be a dumbass.
What Gallagher do you identify with most? I want to say Fiona, I do a lot of taking care of people, sometimes at the expense of myself? Growing up I did some reckless and impulsive stuff.
Which one are you actually like the most? Probably Ian, got a touch of the mentals, fell madly in love with a boy that had a hard time reciprocating, and definitely can be the aforementioned clueless dumbass.
I won't tag anyone, but I absolutely love to see everyone's answers, so please do if you want me to ignore my homework so I can comment on everyone else's!

CARBONNE - "IMAGINE"
youtube
Anxiety, via romance, via rap, via flamenco, via Spain, via France, via TikTok...
[6.00]
Wayne Weizhen Zhang: There’s not one factor that makes this the French tube de l’été; it’s a perfect smattering of smaller virtues. Carbonne, a relatively unknown Montpelliérain rapper turned TikTok hit maker, doesn’t really seem to know what to do with his overnight fame, but it does seem clear that his 5+ years in the industry have allowed him to crystallize a sound informed by Southern French rap, Euro-pop, and Spanish guitars. “Imagine” is also a summer smash because it’s about the high and low expectations of the season. On the one hand, Carbonne’s girl is dreaming of drinking Portuguese wine beneath beach umbrellas and traveling the world; on the other hand, Carbonne is paranoid about the relationship falling apart at any moment. People everywhere on the internet seem to relate, making pop, reggae, rock, and of course sped-up versions of the track. What they're really doing, though, and the real reason this is the song of the summer, is shouting the monstrosity of a chorus together in a group, just like in the studio recording. [7]
Kylo Nocom: Three years have passed since C. Tangana made his bid for recognition through the artsy cosmopolitanism of El Madrileño. Despite the occasionally embarrassing excess of that album's cinematic gestures, Tangana's subsequent Tiny Desk Concert succeeded by highlighting the plethora of collaborators singing and clapping together. Carbonne's "Imagine" is on a similar wavelength: not only is it in the flamenco fusion vein Tangana previously mined, but its success was aided by a TikTok video highlighting his friends singing along to a hook primed for virality. The track is an outlier in the French rapper's catalog: prior releases flirted with house and 2-step crossovers between stretches of fairly standard pop-rap. But the song is contemporary with artists who similarly track in Andalusian musical influence, such as TIF; the pivot has the slight stench of marketable novelty. While it's too early to tell whether the success of "Imagine" will result in a hard launch of Carbonne as a Proper Artist, his actual rapping is fairly disposable. Still, though, those gang vocals aren't nothing; one of life's greatest joys is singing a song alongside the person who wrote it. [5]
TA Inskeep: Carbonne sounds like a perfectly nice boy rapping over flamenco guitars and handclaps with all of his friends backing him on the chorus, which is exactly the problem. There's no push here, no pull; "Imagine" just dully exists. [3]
Nortey Dowuona: Rodolphe Babignan, a flamenco musician from Paris, plays the guitar lines that thread this song. His guitar is exciting and smooth: chords played slowly during the verses with little licks trickling from each side of the mix, lilting during the second verse before settling into the first pattern, then clustering and swirling around the soft drum programming. Babignan's bridge licks feel so bright and bubbly that the loud group chant of despair and paranoia, the flip side of love, barely registers unless you are paying attention. [8]
Katherine St. Asaph: There's a loud banger trapped beneath the arrangement, thumping at the walls to break free. Carbonne is coolly determined not to let it. [4]
Jonathan Bradley: Montpelier rapper Carbonne isn't a reggaeton artist, but "Imagine" draws some influence from that sound: the murmured vocal is reminiscent of J Balvin's conspiratorial cadence, for instance, and this lively flamenco guitar figure would sound great over dembow. It could almost suit a sidewalk café or chic wine bar too, but the lively handclap rhythm keeps things from becoming too genteel. The heady whimsy is apposite, though: Carbonne, caught in a reverie of travel and romance, knows a girl who hopes to run away with him, and he seems troubled by how attractive the idea is.  [7]
Ian Mathers: I'm always relying on the translations of others for these, but there's just something so intensely romantic to me (especially in context of the rest of the lyrics) about "we're talking about living facing the sea, I can see that she's not a homebody." The whole song is this combination of being swept up in love with someone and imagining life and travel together, with maybe even an implication of being willing to leave one's own comfort zone for the beloved's sake, while at the same time being the kind of person who is immediately suspicious of losing what possibly feels like undeserved good fortune (or maybe I'm projecting). That heady, queasy seesaw between feeling on top of the world and borrowing trouble from a possible future, over such a sunny, pleasingly busy arrangement, hits surprisingly hard. [8]
Brad Shoup: These last couple weeks some apropos Lloyd Banks lines have been going through my head: "Her panties wet over fame, fell in love with my chain/I wonder if I wasn't an entertainer, would she remain?" I mean..... no???? "Wanna Get to Know You" is a perfect single for many reasons, one of which is that it captures the anxiety of the famous himbo. The swaggy yet devout 6'5" tight end, the regional rapper with the fresh advance, the belovedly bewildered streamer whose aesthetic scale stretches from epic to so cursed, bro: guys who have devoted every waking minute to becoming what people want them to be, suddenly wondering if they're loved for the right reasons. I adore that shit. I also adore flamenco pop, with its combination of hazy sensuality and technical rigidity. Carbonne repeatedly swamps the standard flamenco vocal interjections with a bro chorus that sounds like a terrace chant, or maybe a broker protest. The compás clicks like a countdown, as the singer grapples with a girlfriend who seems to like him for him. The title lands, at the end, like a punchline. [7]
Alfred Soto: Justin Bieber, meet flamenco. [5]
Jacob Sujin Kuppermann: At first, I suspected that I'd find this bauble of acoustic hip-hop much more annoying if it were in a language I understood — but even after reading a translation I find it breezy and inoffensive. That I like it as much as I do is perhaps an appreciation for Carbonne's ability to meet the moment: this is just as frothy and light as it needs to be, unburdened by the need to make much of a point. "Friends Friends" is a band with a focus on creating music that seamlessly explores a huge range of styles. Some groups are quite stuck in their definitions. However, others are keen on setting the bar higher and looking for new creative ideas. Each member of the band has their own sonic space in the mix, and "Nobody's Sorry" is a great combination of their respective skills and artistry.
This is the first release for the Portland-based group, and it is a great introduction to what their sound is all about. The EP features six tracks, each bringing something unique to the table and adding more focus to the release overall, making for a truly dynamic and one-of-a-kind set list with so many different influences. These songs capture the essence of indie-folk, but there's also an edgier approach with a gritty edge commonly associated with great alternative music. The opening song, "Showerbeer," is a catchy and upbeat track with a punchy tone and a wall of fuzzy guitars, reminiscent of artists such as Dinosaur Jr. or Dead Rituals, only to mention two. The song is upbeat and playful, with relatable vocals and a bright tambourine rhythm to enhance the main drum kit. There is also room for a blistering guitar solo, which would definitely make J. Mascis nod in approval! Despite the fuzziness, this song is a tuneful pop gem with some sharper edges that make it all the more exciting!
The following song, "February 28," is another example of the band's diverse artistry. By contrast with "Showerbeer," this is a more intimate and laid-back track. It begins with a clean electric guitar arpeggio and some stunning suspended chords to add color to the background. The reverberation effect creates a very ethereal vibe, making for a very earnest and emotionally powerful composition. The dynamics are also very wide, in the vein of classic albums such as Grace by Jeff Buckley, but with a more understated indie rock aesthetic.
The third song on the album is titled "Secondhand." This track also offers a crunchy, melodic, yet dirty sound with a mid-tempo groove. The drums are particularly punchy and fat, driving the arrangement and locking in perfectly with the swirling guitar riff. The vocals are very subdued and soft-spoken, but the singer knows when to stand out and ramp up the intensity of her delivery. The release continues on with the fourth song, "Neighbors."
This track begins with the rhythm section. The bass has a groovy thump, which works so well with the shaker and the driving drums. The guitars provide color and extra nuance, not only through sparse chords but also through some noise effects that add a more organic touch. Eventually, the guitars become even more prominent in the mix, especially adding more texture to the pre-choruses and chorus parts. The fifth song, "Metamorphosis," brings some of the work's catchiest guitar parts to the forefront. The two guitars in the intro harmonize beautifully, and the rhythm in the verses has a really percussive and unique tone. The drums keep a steady flow, but there is also room for additional percussion, such as shakers and woodblocks, to bring something unique to the mix.
Last but not least, the album comes to a close with "No Woman," a stunning 3/4 tempo rock ballad with an incredible layering of vocal parts and a nostalgic, emotional feel. The vocals are so powerful in this song, showcasing the singer's beautiful range.
Ultimately, what sets 'Nobody's Sorry' apart is the band's unique ability to blend a variety of stylistic references, showcasing versatility and musicality. This EP is a testament to their skill in blurring the lines between different influences, creating a sound that is uniquely their own. The EP has a very organic sound, and the production highlights the natural quirks of the musicians rather than overly polishing the music. Many indie rock records of the current period tend to have a rather aseptic sound with too much studio trickery. However, this record stays true to the natural intensity of the band's performances.
The songs on the album are very purposeful yet instinctive and raw. "Nobody's Sorry" is adventurous and nuanced, alternating between sophisticated musicianship and back-to-basics aesthetics, with a nod to punk and the grittier side of alternative rock with a 90s flavor. There's confidence and elegance in the tracks, marking the band's vision and ability to seamlessly combine numerous influences into something quite unique and evocative. The EP's introspective outlook also allows the band to test the limits of its formula, sometimes pushing way beyond what people might expect with clever yet seamless ideas. What makes this release stand out is that it sounds like a genuine portrait of passionate musicians playing in a room. Many rock bands tend to sound a bit too overproduced these days, leading to a sound that might feel uninspired or too sterile. However, Friends Friends has a strong focus on authenticity, and it really shows from the material! Not surprisingly, the group is particularly well-respected for its live performances, which allow them to bring their music to the audience on a more direct level.
Friends Friends' new release, "Nobody's Sorry," is highly recommended if you are a fan of artists such as Bon Iver, Neutral Milk Hotel, Courtney Barnett, Francis Moon, and Joni Mitchell, only to mention a few.
Find out more about this talented group, and do not miss out on "Nobody's Sorry," which is currently available on the web's best digital music streaming platforms.

Report of a trip to Japan, September 2016, Buck-Tick related parts
Conversations with Japanese fans, BT cafe, Climax Together 3rd. I know it’s very late. I just want to post something and practice my English. My memories could be wrong.
Osaka, Yousukou Ramen
That small restaurant The Mortal members have been to in 2015. It’s hidden deeply in the streets of Umeda, difficult to find even with the help of Google Map, it was smaller than I thought it to be, there were only about 10 seats, and I wouldn’t say it was very clean inside.
The Ramen was very delicious, I was satisfied with its taste, but one bowl was not enough to fill my stomach at 3pm. Due to nervousness, I didn’t say Acchan-chan’s name.
(On that morning, I had much trouble finding a store called Umeda Loft, then the next day I had much trouble finding the live house Umeda Club Quattro, I guess the Feng Shui of that place does not suit my birth time.)
Tokyo, a hotel
I talked to the staffs of the hotel I lived in. One 20 or 30-something staff knew BT, when another staff who looked around the same age as him asked “What’s that?”, he answered “Old Visual Kei”, then praised my taste in music, “very good, very good. It’s rare (to see girls like me coming to Japan for bands like BT, I guess that’s his meaning)”
Tower Records Kinshicho
The Tower Records famous for a whole shelf of BT stuffs. It’s one the 4th floor (or maybe 3th or 5th I don’t quite remember) of a shopping center which is not faraway from the JR line station. If you want to buy BT’s CDs in Tokyo, I suggest you either go there or Tower Records Shibuya.
At the shrine of Morioka Ken, the boards had not been as full as they were in Cayce’s photos.
Sadly I didn’t have enough money to buy everything, I already bought many records in Osaka and Kyoto, so I only bought Mona Lisa Overdrive, Sabbat, Minus(-)’s D and the only one Togawa Jun album there (in the J-pop section).
Tower Records Cafe in Harajuku
On September 10th, I went to the Tower Records Cafe. I know there would be many people since the next day we shall Climax Together, but I didn’t realize I had to wait for two hours out on the street, but thank for the line of ladies dressed in black I didn’t get lost, okay several gentlemen were there, too, there were 40+ year old ladies in Visual Kei style outfits, 30-something ladies with elegant make up, in normal clothes, there were also JKs younger than me and 30-year-old men who looked just like any Japanese salarymen.
I talked to the nice looking lady behind me. She asked about the official translation of Buck-Tick in Chinese, it’s “花火師”, which means “pyrotechnist, it made her laugh so hard, and no, we rarely use that name.
I introduced her to Tumblr. She laughed again when I searched “Buck-Tick” on Tumblr, photos came out were Acchan, Acchan, and Acchan, “Nothing but Acchan!” Then she introduced Tumblr to her friends on LINE as a place to find many beautiful Acchan pictures.
She started another topic: “Do your parents love Japanese music, too?”
“My mom is Sakamoto Ryuichi-san’s fan.”
“She likes YMO?”
“She hates YMO.”
“Oh, then does she like Buck-Tick?”
“Not really, the only BT songs she likes are Jupiter, Dress and Flame.”
“Anyway,” she said, “I’m glad BT’s songs are liked by Sakamoto-san’s fan.”
It seems Sakamoto Ryuichi and YMO are one rank higher in dignity than all those rock bands.
When I finally got into the Cafe, it’s long past lunch time, I was very hungry. Climax Together 1992 was played on the screen, I felt very difficult to eat my pasta which was not spicy at all despite what was written on their websites while the man I love was singing about despair, pain, madness and desire to die.
Later, friends reported that they waited for 4 whole hours outside the cafe on September 12th, so I’m the lucky one!
Bar Teranga in Ebisu
It’s the bar Imai mentioned in his blog, owned by his wife’s sister Akane, who is also an indie musician. It’s hidden in the streets of Ebisu, on the third floor of a building, with only one tiny signboard outside.
I went there for the evil purpose of examining whether she looked as cute as she was in photos, or it’s photoshop’s doing (I’m not evil enough to think about meeting or stalking BT members, I swear), but I didn’t see her, that night only the male staff Takizawa Ryo was there, he is an indie musician, in 2012, some fans got extremely angry (I’m not sure why) after they found that the BT charity bags were sold at his concerts...but it has already passed, Imai has explained in his blog, Cayce has posted on her blog, so I’ll stop here.
The bar was small, gothic style, there was a wall full of Jrockers’ signatures, including all members of BT, Aki from Sid, Motokatsu, someone from D’erlanger, someone from Merry, Sakurai Ao maybe, and so on, I said “someone” and “maybe” because I couldn’t decipher their signatures which were all so artistically written. Only Shirosaki Jin, the big fanboy and former NO.1 host wrote readable kanjis. I heard there was also one written by Die, of dir en grey, but failed to find it. Aside from signatures, they also used Jrock magazines and BT tour goods as decoration, you can find BT stuffs even in the toilet. The Sakurai Drops box is surprisingly small.
There were three customers when I entered the door, all about 40 years old, two ladies, one gentlemen. I sat down, ordered curry rice and beer in English, the two ladies said “Oh, foreigner?” Then, one of them said:
“But why this bar... Bakuchiku fan?”
“...Yes.” I answered.
They gave me a very warm welcome by screaming and shouting.
“Do you speak Japanese?”
“Only a little.”
“Yokohama Arena?” She tried to speak very slow.
“Yes, but my seat is terrible.”
“Whoo, you come to Japan for a concert!”
“Uh...I came for sightseeing.”
“But your main purpose is the concert, isn’t it?”
And yes.
We talked about BT, Visual Kei and Jpop. “It’s amazing that Japanese music has influence on other countries’ people.” they said. Later, they began talking about baseball, Johnny’s idol groups, and the coming Visual Japan Summit (finally I remember that name).
The curry rice was nice. One of the ladies drank so much High-ball but her face didn’t change a bit, I envy people like her.
I left before all three of them, “Good night! See you tomorrow in Yokohama.” The Japanese fans said.
(Small information:
There is a bar in Minatoku, Tokyo, owned by NAO (BY-SEXUAL) and BT’s former manager Kojima, the name is “Azabu Kyuuban”, or “Azabu NO.9” in English. Many Jrockers had been there, including members of BT, Glay, Plastic Tree, Golden Bomber, Kishidan, Nocturnal Bloodlust and so on. Some BT fans love to go there after the Budoukan show, so if you want to go there that day, too, remember to pre-order.)
Yokohama Arena
There are big “横浜アリーナ” and “Yokohama Arena” words written above an exit of the station, you can follow the ladies in black as well.
I arrived at Yokohama Arena at about 12:30 pm, there was a long, long goods line in the rain, even there were many staffs selling the goods and they were quick, I think I still waited for more than 1.5 hours outside, and when I finally got into the venue, I found there were still many people waiting in front of me. Aku no Hana 2015 remix was played, when Kiss Me Good-bye was over, National Media Boys came, so they must played it for more than once, friends who came later than me reported they heard another album there. I heard almost one Aku no Hana inside the venue, than my turn of buying goods finally came.
It was reported by Japanese fans if you came at 3 pm, you did not need to wait, so I guess at concerts if you don’t want the most popular goods such as Sakurai Drops or Acchan eye masks, it will be better if you don’t come very early.
After buying the goods, same with many fans, I walked to a nearby shopping center, spent two hours there. One oddity was that, when I went to the toilet in the shopping center, everyone waited there was BT fans, I can tell they were fans because all of them wore either BT T-shirts, or typical bangya clothes such as black lace dress and black high heel boots, one of them wore a Mr. Matsumoto guitar print scarf, that famous one with red hearts.
Then back to the venue, people had already lined up for entering. Passersby looked at us curiously.
Since everyone has already watched the WOWOW video, I’d better not say too much about the concert itself, so just a few things:
1. Chandeliers were beautiful.
2. Beside me was a middle aged man, he cried during Jupiter.
3. People clapped their hands during the intro of Dokudanjo, it’s a bit hard to learn.
4. I didn’t realize Imai played Passing Mountain then, feel ashamed.
5. Imai’s guitar was so loud (noisy) that I could barely hear Acchan talking, and it was because Imai’s guitar, not my poor Japanese, Japanese fans have reported same problem.
6. I think you already know that, but the spoken words in Dress are “早く、行かなくちゃ” (I have to go, now).
7. Acchan said: “It must be difficult to see from there, I’m sorry”, then turned the stage light to the stage side and 2nd floor seats, fans who were lit up all waved their hands, screamed in happiness to him. He is a very gentle person indeed.
This year I plan to visit Japan again.
I will go to Fujioka, Gunma to see Imai Shouten. But before that I need to learn more Japanese.
Oh, actually this Gunma-chan (with serious bear) is not the first Gunma-chan.

ROH Death Before Dishonor 2022 - Quickfire Reaction
Tumblr media
It's been another wild month of wrestling, continuing on with ROH's second Khan-era PPV.
A stacked card begets a lot of potential to be a great show, doubly impressive when in the middle of G1 and Summerslam season, but can it top Forbidden Door? Let's see
Spoilers for the Show
Zero Hour
It's a little sad that Colt isn't repping Dark Order anymore but good to see him back in a ring. Same for Anthony Henry, the Workhorsemen are a good tag team well-suited for ROH (even though I must admit I love the Wingmen too)
Match was good for getting the crowd involved, Henry did a lovely piledriver and Frog Splash for two different nearfalls but Cabana powers through
I've heard news about the Trustbusters from some AEW Dark spoilers, but for first impressions: good music, good talent in Slim J, probably gonna do well as weaselly midcard heels until they get some muscle
Eli Isom impressed me a lot more this match than he did in Supercard against Gates of Agony
I dunno who this Prince Nana is but buying TBE seems weird to me, is Tully not gonna be a part of it anymore? Seems like it with them being called The Embassy, maybe Tully will just be with Gresham?
I said it at Supercard and I'll say it again, Cage is best when he's just hossing
Zayne (fresh off of BOSJ), Christian and Deppen did really well too, they built Christian's hot tag really well, Deppen did a lot of workhorsing and Zayne undoubtedly was great
How can you not love Willow? Her music is great too
Nice little blend of technique and power in that match
4 matches in 1 hour, you see that WWE?
Main Card
Kicking off with the world title!? That is bold
Love Claudio's new theme music btw, I wouldn't have minded if all of BCC had classical remixes but I get why Mox sticks with Wild Thing, plus Yoots still has a good theme tune
Gresham didn't come out with Tully though, so wonder what that's about? Regal joins commentary too to enrich us more
Classic story of ligament damage vs power
Gresham has struggled with AEW crowds getting him but GOD he is so clean
CLAUDIO DID IT! HE FINALLY WON A WORLD TITLE!
I appreciate the BCC elbows helped transition to the Ricola Bomb, we pushing that BCC agenda and I am here for it, I think I liked that match more than the ZSJ match
Claudio's joy is also infectious, that's an opener!
Glad to see more Dalton, dude is charismatic for years
This is the first I've seen of the Righteous, their music is unique, they have kinda cult energy with a dash of Big Lebowski, I'd happily see more of them
I enjoyed the match more than I thought tbf, lots of charisma, lots of fun, commentary made me grin too, I had predicted Castle and Boys to win but it surprised me that they went 2 title changes in a row
Garcia still rocking the kangol XD And using the Regal colours
Could we possibly just get Regal on commentary like every title match? He's so joyous but also technical, you learn so much
Production has gone up with the PURE rules UI, timer and the rope break bars
Yoots has a great German Suplex, not Takeshita level but still great
It's a very interesting but valid strategy to see Garcia and Yoots work the ears, you don't see it a lot
I was also glad to hear that there's intent towards Yoot not going for a rope break, because his last few Pure matches have had him be the first to lose a rope break and I always felt that feeling like weakness
Loved the submission swapping relating to JAS and BCC too
That is the best PURE match I've seen so far in the Khan era, if it weren't for Claudio challenging Gresham I would've picked Garcia for this, but I wanted that BCC agenda and I'm getting it, Bryan needs to come back so he's next
Dragon Lee. Lawn Darted RUSH. Through a Table!?
This is pure Penta vs Fenix energy in the best way, both have the same kind of builds and mentality
Seriously, no build, no title, and yet this still was a banger
I wonder if Lee will join La Faccion Ingobernable down the line, because I know RUSH and Andrade are facing the Lucha Bros but I see it going into trios, maybe Andrade taking the All-Atlantic title from PAC
Every American one time or another will call Worcester 'War-chester' XD to be fair us Brits do too but we learn quickly because of Worcestershire Sauce
No surprise that Serena vs Mercedes is extremely technical
Match got a little slow in the middle but it was good, really thought though that Serena would be given her due, she's showed up against Shida, Rosa and Mercedes and the ROH women's title did feel like a good fit for her
Lethal sent Singh and Dutt away which is interesting
Joe pulling a Suzuki look as they go straight at it!
Didn't last long, Singh came back to help Pillmanize Joe's shoulder, match hadn't started yet so fair game. But the ref ejects Singh before ringing the bell, which is clever, didn't eject Dutt though when he brought in a pipe (to feint so Lethal could use the belt)
Crowd have been rabid for this match, I was okay about it, the build and the interferences made me less invested
Woof, Fight for the Fallen ain't messing around; Mox vs RUSH, Swerve vs Sterling & Nese, Danielson returning vs Garcia, good stuff
Surprised Dax didn't wear his 'Fight like an 8 year old' shirt, AEW made them to donate to children's heart charity
The pop for the bell ringing wasn't as loud as last time which was a shame
Jay and Dax went 200 miles an hour there, but it looks like it hurt him a bit since they had him checked by medical, post-show reports say it's precautionary which is fortunate
Doesn't stop his capacity for the hot tag though
After the first fall we got some clever psychology from the Briscoes
Cash has a great hot tag too
The camera is looking for something but it's not quite finding it
Is 2 out of 3 no rules? Because I feel like being hit with a bell is a DQ
Everyone's showing some colour now
It's been a good night for clean looking piledrivers
Ref bump seems to be to give the Briscoes a visual win with the Jay Driller, though FTR also had a visual win with the Big Rig after, maybe a part 3 is in waiting? Iron Man maybe?
They did the Revival vs DIY/American Alpha spot with holding hands during a submission
JESUS! Chekov's table from Lethal/Joe comes back for Cash super back body dropping Mark!
Jay Driller just for 2!
SUPER PILEDRIVER
The finish was great, I think I slightly preferred the Supercard match but gosh that was a great match
Oh sure give me FTR vs BCC, I've got a vein to inject it into
Conclusion
This was a great PPV.
I think I preferred Forbidden Door by an inch, but it has to be on a similar level because ROH didn't suffer so much from abrupt endings and injury, but the match quality for Forbidden Door was slightly higher, but it was better than Supercard overall which is a plus.
The matches were all really good, very happy to see Claudio win a world title finally. Khan booked the PPV strongly and hopefully it pays off for him, I don't see how tv companies wouldn't be considering ROH right now.
Hopefully a new chapter will begin.

I'm watching tangled. It's a good show and actually a perfect show for kids, at least up to season one, that's what I've watched at this point.
All the pieces have come togheter, we had our revelations and we had our villain.
I've just had a glimpse of this fandom, but I'm seeing great appreciation for this character and I'd like to talk a little about his arc.
He starts off as such a sweet character, he's not only intelligent but also kind and relatable.
I can see why so many people, including myself relates to him; always trying to help and often fail, really often like a person who's learning, like, you know, a teenager, which leads him to committing more than one error; he learns along the way, mostly at his expenses; he's pretty much alone and launches himself in his interests, whome make him more distant to his peers and make him longing for approval of the people around him.
He has always tried to help our protagonists, he always puts people over him and originally just wanted to help his village, then the countryside, then the entire kingdom.
And we see that he fails, and that's in character, making errors is normal for him, most of our characters are literally the best in what they do, they're not perfect but they've perfectly mastered one particular activity.
Well, he doesn't.
He fucks up, real bad.
But up to that point our protagonists (most of them) have fucked up quite a lot, sometimes he was the one that helped them go out of problems they created.
So that's why, in my opinion, Rapunzel was wrong from the start.
I think she's in the wrong here not because she actively crated the problem, but because she was the only one that could've done something.
And she promised to do so.
She had a choice, she was the queen at the moment but it means nothing. There were more capable people to take care of that situation.
We know that she saved the kingdom but at THAT moment she didn't know that, and at the start she just did what others told her and then put the fate of her kingdom to a literal fairytale.
Also what does it means that's her kingdom? As a regent she was only a person, everyone could've done it, and yes I mean everyone because she didn't had a special "training" or anything, she was literally someone that happened to be a princess.
While on the other hand she's the only person with a connection with the rocks, literally the only person that could've done something.
It's really strange how Rapunzel trates this issue. As if she was a complete victim of the circumstances and didn't even thought she made a bad decision but just that she said no.
I have to say that he's an amazing villain, I mean how he acts as one.
His motivations are cool an honestly even if he did a lot of things wrong wtf could've he do? Ask help again to people that ignored him multiple times?
Well, anyway.
First of all, he's hilarious.
Maybe my bar is a little low but "Yes, Dad", I guess someone here had a lot of repressed frustration and anger.
A lot of villains have this huge annoying pride bullshit thing that makes them easy target.
But in the serie they established that's not his thing. He's a man of science, and as such errors are part of the deal.
He never underestimate who's he's up to, he impruves his machinery and his plans, he's enough emotionally intelligent to manipulate people into helping him and is one step head of everyone.
And why does he loses? That racoon.
Literally the racoon.
He was completely gone, if it wasnt for the raccoon I think Rapunzel would've been dead or something.
He loses because he trusted someone, oh such irony.
And then, his plan doesn't work, Rapunzel's hair aren't enough.
They fight
And we discover
That Rapunzel's scecial secret magic wow power is to control the rocks.
To control. The rocks.
At that point, I was seriously laughing.
Are you saying that she could've done it at any point if she tried enough?
What you're saying is that she just didn't cared enough, that's it, she didn't really cared about the problem he was asking help with, but in the moment something she really cared was treated, then oh boy oh boy
Go to jail kiddo ❤️

Request: Can you write a Hotch x reader where the BAU team attends a ballroom party after helping a rich man from an unsub as thanks. Hotch meets the reader and they talk and dance all night. The reader is intrigued that Hotch is a profiler and at midnight she gives him her shoe and tells him to find her based only on that. Thanks!!!
here you go @lavenderblossom12 !!!! i hope you enjoy this !!! i actually had a ton of fun writing it and i usually have such a tough time writing for hotch. if it’s good maybe i’ll write a part 2 ;)
key:
(Y/H/C): your hair color
(Y/D/J): your dream job
(Y/E/C): your eye color
word count: 2.5k
“Hotchner,” Hotch answered with his usual monotone draw, narrowing his already narrow brow as he listened to whatever the caller was saying on the other end. “Well, I suppose that would be alright. Send me the location. Thanks.” He hung up and turned the phone over and over in his hands before looking to the ceiling.
“What is it, Hotch? Is everything okay?” JJ asked, concerned.
“The BAU team was invited to a masquerade party to celebrate our returning the Schaffer’s daughter,” He said, sounding unsure. He recognized the caller ID as soon as he saw the D.C area code, having spent extensive time with the family in pursuit of the most recent psychopath. They had gotten a location at the most crucial time, they had shown up right before the unsub slit the young woman’s throat. They apprehended him in a matter of minutes and were able to return the girl safely to her family. She had been the target in a war of spite between the unsub and her father, since he had personally fired him from his company 3 months later without any sort of rhyme or reason, beyond slow work ethic. He was furious and decided to get back at him by taking the most precious thing in his world; his 19 year old daughter.
“Well, that’s never happened before.” Reid said, looking confused. He hated parties, clubs, anything of the sort. The loud music made it hard for him to think and he had a tough time connecting with other people, his tangents tended to turn others off from him. Hotch remained unsure about agreeing so quickly, but decided not to press the issue. It was the right thing to do; it was, after all, partially in their honor. The team could deal with it for one night, not to mention they had been working especially hard and could use a single night to let loose and celebrate their work, especially since this case had been a win for the good guys.
It was set to take place that Saturday and although attendance was not required, it was recommended. This was to celebrate the return of a young girl and it was to thank them, so it was only right of them to go.
At least, that was the way Hotch was going to continue justifying it to himself, whether the team or anyone else understood or not. He was going to find a way to enjoy this party if it took everything in him, or even all the liquor at the open bar. Tonight was about relaxing. Every single person in his life never failed to remind him how uptight he could be, or how he could never relax. With all the things he’d seen since starting at the BAU, how could he?
He straightened his tie in the mirror of his small apartment and took a deep breath, before making his way to the ballroom where the party was being hosted. He had apparently been assigned to a table with the rest of the team, of which he was the first to arrive, and he eagerly awaited his fellow agents’ arrivals. Prentiss came shortly after Hotch, wearing a long red gown that accentuated her curves without trying to make a spectacle of herself, followed by Penelope, who was the complete opposite. Her dress was colorful and bright, just like her personality- and typical work attire. JJ wore a gown similar to Emily’s and Reid had gone with a classic all black suit. Derek was what he called “fashionably late”, sporting a suit that was similar to Reid’s, except navy blue as opposed to solid black.
It didn’t take a profiler to see what each agent’s outfit said about them; Reid didn’t want to be noticed, Morgan was impartial since he got attention no matter what he wore, and the girls’ dresses and makeup spoke more to their individual personalities. JJ was able to snag a babysitter for Henry and brought Will as a plus one, so she dressed more suited to being with someone. Classy and elegant, without attracting attention to herself. Emily was similar in the sense of class and elegance, but she didn’t bring anyone so attracting someone else was more of her goal with her dress and her overall demeanor. Hotch, on the other hand, didn’t have much of a motive for anything beyond looking nice and enjoying his time off from work and his typical worries, sporting a plain black suit with a classic red tie. Nevertheless, all the agents looked fantastic and it showed as they slowly eased deeper into the party.
Hotch excused himself from Reid as he went on about the periodic table, he wasn’t even sure how the prior conversation of the butterfly room on the second floor could possibly have any relation, but of course Reid found a way to bring something like that into a conversation. Hotch shook his head to himself as he approached, being only one of two who were at the bar, besides the bartender.
“I’ll take a Kettle One on the rocks, please.” Hotch took a long drag from the glass as soon as the bartender set it in front of him, earning him a small chuckle from the person beside him.
“Thirsty?” You asked, your eyes alight. The liquor went down his throat icy, forcing him to pause for a second before responding. He offered a small smile.
“Not quite.” He said quietly, looking down into the glass.
“Fair enough.” You took a sip from the wine in your hand as you looked across the room, throwing a lock of (Y/H/C) hair over your shoulder. Hotch took another sip himself before inching slightly closer to you.
“It’s a lovely venue.” Hotch said quietly.
“It really is. I came to a wedding that took place here about a month ago, for one of my best friends from college,” You paused to take another drag from your wine. “I gotta be honest though, I like what they did with the place now much better.” She set down the empty glass on the bar and the bartender filled you up without you saying a word. You took the glass in your hand once more, looking to Hotch.
“Is it safe to assume you’re one of the guests of honor this evening?” You asked, cocking an eyebrow.
“Yeah, how did you know?” Hotch asked.
“Well, you’re sitting at a table that is slightly apart from the other tables, and the other guests at your table who I saw you sitting with before are all glued to one another, seeming as if they’re the only ones they know here.” You said.
“Wow. I guess we do sort of stand out.” Hotch replied, taking another sip of his own drink, feeling the effect slowly loosen him up. He downed the last few swigs and offered you his hand.
“Care to dance?” Hotch was never the dancing sort, except when he went out with his ex-wife and/or coworkers. Haley enjoyed dancing enough, as did Hotch, but they never found the time to do so. However, tonight was about relaxing, and ignoring everything in him that told him not to at least try and enjoy himself. He was going to enjoy this party, he was determined to.
A blush crept up to your cheeks as you accepted his hand, entering the dance floor from the side. Hotch placed his hands on your waist, and you rested yours on his chest as you slowly swayed around the floor.
“So, tell me about yourself.” You said, smiling up at him. You had to hand it to him, he was extremely attractive, and his elusive smiles were something that clearly had to be earned, and you seemed to be doing a pretty good job so far.
“Well, uh, there really isn’t much to tell.” He said, looking around for something to trigger a memory as to what he could use to impress you.
“Come on, a handsome guy like you? I’m sure you’ve got some sort of exciting life.” Now it was Hotch’s turn to blush; he wasn’t used to hearing things like that.
“Well, I’m an FBI agent for the Behavioral Analysis Unit, so I guess that’s pretty exciting.” He shrugged as your eyes widened, fascinated.
“That’s pretty incredible, I gotta be honest.” You said, closing your dropped jaw. He smiled again, somehow making him even more attractive.
“Thanks. It’s hard work, but it pays off. What do you do?” He asked, readjusting his hands a little higher on your waist. You couldn’t help but feel slightly disappointed, but ignored it.
“I’m a (Y/D/J).” You grinned. Hotch brushed a stray strand of hair behind your ear, as blood rushed to your cheeks.
“Wow, that sounds exciting.” He whispered. The slower song had ended and led its way to a more upbeat song, and Hotch saw JJ dragging Will and Reid out onto the dance floor, followed by Morgan, Garcia, and Prentiss, who winked in Hotch’s direction.
You dropped your hands from his shoulders and grabbed his hand, leading him in the direction of your table where you had set down your wine glass previously. You took a long gulp, and turned your attention back to Hotch.
“What do you do for the FBI?” You asked, steadying yourself on a nearby chair.
“I’m a, uh, profiler. My team and I work together to create a profile of both a victim and/or the perpetrator, and use that to help solve the case.” He said, shoving his hands in his pockets.
That’s fascinating.” You said, in awe. That sounded like the coolest job you’d ever heard, definitely something straight out of a movie.
“I’m going to grab another drink, did you need a refill?” Hotch asked, eyeing your emptying glass. You paused for a second to check yourself, and see if another could cause you to embarrass yourself. You decided that if you paced yourself, you would be fine.
“Sure, chardonnay.” You downed the rest of the contents and handed the glass to Hotch with a sweet smile. You watched as he made his way to the bar, confident. Another man approached him, and sent a small grin in your direction before turning his attention back to the man you’d spent almost half the evening with, but you didn’t even know his name. That was the funny thing about these sort of corporate parties; names were almost never necessary, you have the most incredible evening, but never ruin the memory with names and empty promises. You were interested in the fact that the man had never even mentioned anything about names, numbers, or anything of the sort. You almost always had to bring up the idea yourself, whether it was after one glass of wine or several. Most usually wanted to sleep with you, something that usually became apparent by this time of the night.
Not with this man, however. He was sweet and sure of himself, but not so sure that he thought he could sweet talk you back to his apartment. He genuinely seemed intrigued by you, and you by him.
“That’s a pretty girl you’ve been chatting up, Hotch.” Morgan appeared at Hotch’s side, ordering himself another beer.
“Isn’t she beautiful? She’s intelligent, too. And miraculously interested in our line of work,” Hotch replied with a small laugh, taking a sip from his glass.
“You think there’ll be a second date?” Morgan asked.
Hotch sorta shrugged and didn’t answer the question, just picked up your wine and his kettle and was off to find you. Luckily for him, you hadn’t wandered far, just to look at some of the paintings that were hanging up around the venue.
“Your wine, my lady.”
“Why thank you, kind sir.” You giggled as you took a short drag, sighing in content. “I hate to say it, but the evening is almost over..” You trailed off, looking toward the giant clock on the wall.
“Wow, I didn’t realize it had gotten that late.” It was nearing 12:15, and the party ended around 12:30.
“Yeah.” You took another sip of your wine as Ed Sheeran’s “Photograph” filled the room. “This is one of my favorites, shall we?” He set his glass down on the table beside yours, took your hand, and led you onto the dance floor once again. This time, he allowed his hands to sit directly on your hips as you wrapped your arms around his neck.
“You look beautiful, by the way.” He said with a shy smile.
“Thank you, so do you.” You giggled. This made his entire face break out into a grin as he lifted your arm, indicating for you to do a small spin. You dressed fanned out around you as Hotch brought you close again. You’d lost your footing amid the spin, not used to spinning in such high heels and after about 3 glasses of wine. You giggled a little bit more.
Hotch licked his lips as he took in the color of your eyes, (Y/E/C), sparkling and bright. He smiled a little and looked down at your lips, which were a lovely shade of pink, slightly parted. You could instantly tell what he was thinking, and closed the gap quickly. He stiffened in surprise, and then melted into it. You pulled away breathlessly, grinning from ear to ear.
The song ended faster than you would have liked, when you got a wild idea. It was something you’d always wanted to do, something you’d only ever seen in movies. There’s a first time for everything, right?
You pulled him down a little so you could whisper in his ear while leaning on him, taking off your left shoe.
“Come find me, Mr. FBI agent.” You whispered, pressing the shoe into his hand and walking away, purse in hand, in the direction of the exit.
Hotch’s eyes widened when he finally processed what had just happened, Morgan and Prentiss quickly approaching.
“What was that?” Prentiss asked, somewhat coherently.
“I… I have to find her.” Hotch said, staring at where you had sauntered right out of the ballroom, and beyond his reach.

Hello could I have sfw letters cjm for dante & lady pls? 🙏🙏🙏💞
I'm always happy to write for Lady 👉👈 I hope this came out okay!
Lady
C omfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?
Lady hates it when you're sad and is willing to do anything to make you smile again. Expect to be fully pampered, just name it and she'll go out of her way to get it for you whether it be new clothes or going out for dinner at a fancy restaurant with her success at her job money isn't exactly an issue but if she does need some extra cash she can always send the bill where she needs it (RIP Dante's wallet) But if going out to make you feel better doesn't help or is just not your thing, Lady of course doesn't mind just spending time together cuddled up in bed or on the couch in your pajamas at three in the afternoon listening to you vent about what's troubling you either. Lady gives the best cuddles and her chest is quite the nice pillow to test your head on as she plays with your hair.
But if this is a panic attack you're having, Lady's attitude shifts. She knows from many dark troubling years what they're like and she knows how scary they can be so when she sees you tucked away in the furthest corner of your apartment just sobbing your heart out and barely able to breathe. In her experience, she finds that being alone during these times to be the worse (one of the many reasons why she's grateful for Dante when they were younger) but she knows everyone deals with these types of things differently but she would prefer to stay with you during it, whether just holding you in her arms as your sobs and sniffles soak her shirt or talking you through it reminding you how much you're worth to her and counting each deep breath you take with you to try and calm you down. After these moments you usually fall asleep in her arms and this is the time Lady takes to reflect that you're very strong especially with the tough lives both of you have lived to make the two of you find one another and despite the hardships and everything else, she's really glad to have you.
J ealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?
Lady, even though you will never hear her admit it, gets jealous quite easily. Is it mostly because of her childhood trauma and trust issues? Yes, yes it is (thanks Arkham, you blobby piece of shit) Don't get me wrong, she trusts you with every fiber of her soul and she knows that you do to and would never do anything like that, and she also trusts everyone in the crew and that they know of your relationship and respect it enough to never try anything like that with you (no one likes when Lady's pissed after all, way too many bullet holes to fix) However there's still the issue with people she doesn't know, you are very attractive after all and she knows there's some women and men out there that will push their luck when it comes to flirting with you even if after you shoot down their interest several times.
If you're able to pick up on when a stranger's hitting on you, whether it be a client or a random patron at the bar you and Lady frequent, then Lady's reaction will be mostly directed at the person in question (she'll get extra pissy if the person hitting on you is another woman) she'll sit next to you and ask the person what sort of interesting conversation they were having with her s/o not to be able to butt out when you told them you were seeing someone three times already. If looks could kill they would immediately be out of existence at the moment, without surprise it's not very long for them to leave after that. However if you're very oblivious or you just don't catch on that a person is hitting on you, expect a very cold reaction from her. She doesn't interfere, once she sits and watches the two of you for a while and sees that you're not doing anything, she'll just leave whatever place the two of you are at and go home. Expect the silent treatment for days, she'll just ignore your whole existence and carry on with her day, not even spending the time to glare at you, she'll expect for you to figure out what you did on your own and she'll wait for an apology. Because she really loves and trusts you, your apology doesn't have to be all big just enough for her to feel reassured by your feelings but that's not to say if the apology did have some expense to it, she wouldn't exactly complain.
M arriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?
Lady for the longest time wanted to get married once she felt the world didn't need her demon slaying skills, she just wanted to be able to settle down in a peaceful world after all and especially with you. After the events of 5, she does feel like the world is a little bit better and with Dante and Vergil's vacation in hell to chill out the eldest brother, safely she can feel assured that he won't be causing trouble for a while.
It was after a job with Trish when the thought first came in her head. The blonde she devil had made some sort of comment on a ring when they'd pasted an old jewelry store. It was a golden ring that definitely caught the walking arsenal's eyes, the golden band littered with small diamonds and the smallest of pearls in the dead center reminded her a lot of her mother's ring that she would play with when she was younger. That being said it definitely spoke to something deep down within her. On the way back to your apartment, the thought of the ring wouldn't leave her head. It wasn't like she didn't have the money for it, but she just didn't have a reason just to go out and buy it, besides she'd after to take it off too frequently with the pace she gets jobs (rings and guns don't exactly mix well in the heat of a hunt) maybe she could give it to you? Although the ring is clearly an engagement ring, how exactly would you react to that? Would you even like it? What if...the two of you did get married? And the ring reminds her so much if her mother's it's really...comforting with the thought of seeing it on your hand. For the next few months her thoughts that she was stuck with in her mind in the early hours of the morning quickly transitioned from the ring itself to marrying you. Sure the two of you joked about bickering like an old married couple but, did you want to ever get married?
The two of you had been together for quite some time, maybe it was about time to take the next step. Lady is a classy woman, so she'll make sure that it happens over a nice fancy dinner at one of the first restaurants that the two of you went on your first dates on. No matter how many times you ask what the occasion is for, she'll just brush it away but saying it's just a little splurge just because of how well the last job the two of you went on was. Conversation topics will hop around all over the place but all come back to something relating to key moments in your relationship, and before long does Lady look deeper and get lost into the adoration in your eyes and the gentle smile on your lips does she even forget about the ring in the small little white box in her pocket and without a second thought, does she ask that important question.
Marriage with Lady I'd say would still be the same as in dating Lady, the main difference being that she takes a little bit more time off from jobs to come home and do more 'domestic' things with you such as cooking together, lazy cuddles on the couch together, bunches of kisses in the shower together, and maybe if you convince her hard enough she might let you even get a dog. After your married and Lady looks at you wearing that ring that reminds her so much of her mother's; does she smile to herself. She knows if her mother was still around she would've loved you and just another thing her father took from her. Lady loves you and she's promised deep down to herself that's your marriage is going to be nothing like her parents, everyday until the very she's going to prove her love to you and feel herself get lost in your smile all the same.
Tumblr media
Dante
C omfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?
This is Dante we're talking about, I'd say he'd be the absolute best at comforting. With all of his fucked up mental trauma he's dealt with almost his entire life, he has quite the few strategies to calm himself down so he definitely knows how to care for other people dealing with shit also. It all depends on whatever works best for you. Want to sob and cry it all out? He's there to be the shoulder you cry on. Need a burst of energy to get all of the pent up rage out of your system? He'll gladly call up Morrison to find some sort of job to go on so you can slap the shit around some demons. Need to open up about whatever's plaguing your mind? He'll sit with you and listen to you speak for however long you need. Just need to punch something? He's taken quite the damage over the years so I'd say he can definitely take a few hits with no problem. You need just to be left alone for a few hours? He'll still be concerned, but he'll let you be, but sneak a pizza box underneath your door just to be safe.
Dante, like Lady, definitely has experience in the field (and as previously mentioned he also helped her out with them when they were younger) He'll never leave your side once through it, if you're comfortable he'll hold you through it and won't say a word, just gently tap a calm gentle beat on your arm as gentle reminders to breathe. Once you're able to talk will he begin to quietly rock you back and forth as hum in your ear. Humming always tends to relax him during his darkest moments, so he hopes the calming sound of his voice will distract you from any harmful thoughts you may have. Once it's finally over, always without fail the very first words that he'll say to you (probably the first for hours) is that he loves you and how much you mean the world to him.
J ealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?
Dante is most definitely not the jealous type. He trusts you and he's confident that your relationship is so steady that he doesn't need to worry about anything. He just doesn't find any reason to be jealous about the people (the crew and strangers alike) around you. But that doesn't mean that he won't fucking gloat you around, it lights his fucking ego after all. He loves having you sit on his lap as either clients are in the shop about future jobs or the rest of the crew is hanging about, he just loves that sense of pride he gets in his chest just showing you around and it helps clear up if anyone were to get the wrong idea that you were single so kills two birds with one stone!
Dante may not be the jealous type, but he's definitely not the man to just sit around if he sees you uncomfortable. He knows how fucking hard it is when people just can't take a fucking hint so it boils his blood when he sees someone hitting on you after multiple times you've rejected him to the point where you're clearly visibly uncomfortable. Now Dante's perfectly chill when he slides on over, but knowing him for years your instantly able to tell that something's definitely off with how he's speaks and just...the aura around him in general, he instantly wraps his arm around your shoulder as he stares the person in the eyes and asks what's up in with the most chill exaggerated "cool guy" his persona could come up with but the cold glare in his eyes doesn't seem to match that same attitude, seriously if the youngest son of Sparda was pissed enough things would turn dark very fast. Let's just say it doesn't take long for any 'pests' to take the hint.
M arriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?
Marriage isn't exactly for him, he doesn't really see the point in it, the two of you love each other and that should all be what matters. Although if he knew that you were interested, his attitude would slightly shift he does want to do whatever makes you the happiest after all so maybe he'll keep it in mind.
He has few memories of his parents together but what he remembers the most is that they were the most loving couple in the whole world, through all the hardships and all of the struggle neither of them dropped their smile or the loving sparkle in each other's eyes when they would look at each other. Dante views marriage as a pointless way to get the government involved with people's love lives, but now that he knows you're interested in getting hitched one day over a conversation about Nero and Kyrie potentially tying the knot, he starts to fond over the idea of just having what his parents had with you. Now Dante is...really fucking broke so he can't get you anything fancy but he does take up really hard jobs whenever he can from Lady and Morrison to save up enough to at least buy you something (also note once Vergil found out what his brother was doing he - threatening to slice down anyone who brings it up - pitches in by taking in some extra jobs as well) Once he's able to get enough money to buy a decent ring he gets Trish and Lady to go with him to the downtown jewelry store pick out one you might like. After having many, many, flashy eye sores of suggested rings to be immediately shot down by Lady and Trish, is when he finally finds the one. The next few days Dante is happy and chipper with the ring in his pocket even going out on jobs he'll look at the small red velvet box and buzz around all the ideas on how exactly he's going to propose to you. Speaking of which now this is Dante we're talking about here so of course his ideas are wacky and crazily romantic but however with being in so much debt and already borrowing so much from Lady and Trish what he finally goes with is pretty small but..very special.
It's on one random night after having the normal pizza and strawberry sundaes dinner at Fredi's, the two of you hand in hand walking back home to the shop talking and joking about whatever comes to mind. The two of you eventually walked past the park, where the statue of Sparda still stood tall as ever. Everytime Dante came to this park it would catch his eye. You had stopped to talk to him about something, but he just couldn't exactly hear what his eyes fell upon the figure of his father and his hand fell into his pocket to feel at the box. You really did mean the world to him, but what if you don't even like the ring? What if you changed your mind about getting married? What if something happens and he can't be there to protect you and you end up like - your hand to his cheek is what brings him out of his darkening thoughts. You ask him if he's okay, your eyes both soft and concerned as they can be that he finds himself lost in them. With your voice he feels comforted. With your gaze he feels loved. Feeling the edges on his heart slip away does he pull the small box out of his pocket, and with fluid movements does he ask you to make him the happiest man in the world.
As the same with Lady, marriage with Dante is just the same as you were dating him. Though being married to you makes him a whole lot happier than he was before, going out of his way to even talk more about you when he's on jobs with the rest of the crew and everything (which mostly gets a nod and patiently listen reaction out of them as they're pleased to see him this happy) He might've originally thought that marriage would not be something for him but now he's damn sure that it's something he can't be without, after forty something years he finally understands what his parents felt.

aesthetics tag -- sebastian morrow
rules: bold all the aesthetics that your muse relates to
side a - the city
glittering lights, yawning skyscrapers, broken glass shards, street gangs, hip hop music, late night strolls, blinking stars, sleek cars, flickering neonsigns, glittery earrings, small tattoos, empty subways, dark eyeshadow, snapping cameras, cozy apartments, fried churros, silver necklaces, dyed hair, ripped jeans, bright lipstick, dazzling smiles.
side b - the book nerd

Fox - Chapter 6
Tumblr media
Previously on Fox:
(Y/n) stands up and stands beside Sam as the men lead the twins away, both of them sending fleeting looks at (Y/n) over their shoulder as they leave.
Sam wraps an arm around (Y/n)'s shoulder and leads her towards a jet to take her back to the United States.
(Y/n)'s POV
The next half a year of my four year tour goes by quickly. I decided to leave the Air Force after one tour so I could go home and see Dad.
I pull out my phone and call Pepper. "(Y/n)!" Pepper says happily into the phone. "Are you alright?" she then asks, sounding worried.
"Yeah, I'm alright," I answer. "My last day is Saturday, I was wanting to surprise my dad. Could you pick me up from the airport?" I ask.
"Sure!" she says. "It'll be really nice to see you again, we missed you," Pepper adds.
"It'll be nice to see you guys too," I say and I see Sam walking towards me. "I'll talk to you later Pepper. Love you guys," I say, "Don't tell Dad that I'm coming home, alright?" I ask and she laughs.
"I won't," she says. "Love you, (Y/n)! Bye!"
"Bye!" I end the call and look up at Sam. "Hey Sammy," I say, smiling.
"There's two people here to see you," Sam says, his voice deep like usual. "They're with Ryan," he says.
"Right, thanks Sammy," I say, then running towards Ryan's office.
"Good afternoon sir," I say, walking into Ryan's office, taking off my service dress garrison cap - I had joined the Air Force as an officer since I had been to collage before I had joined up.
"Hello, Miss Stark," A deep voice comes from beside me and I look over, nodding respectfully to the two men standing against the wall. One was an African American man, he had one brown eye, but the other was covered by an eye patch. The other man was a dirty blond with blue eyes who looks like he's about two or three years older than me. "We heard about what happened in Sokovia," the African American man says.
I looks down at my polished black shoes at the man's words. "I couldn't have prevented that first shell, sir," I say, looking back up and staring at the man's eyes - or eye and eye-patch.
"That's not what I'm talking about," Eye-patch Man says. He walks over, "My name is Nicholas J. Fury, and I have a proposition for you," Nick Fury says.
"And what might that be, sir?" I ask.
"I am here with the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division," Fury says.
"Man, you guys need an acronym," I mutter under my breath.
"What we meant about Sokovia is your abilities," The blond man says, walking forward. "The name's Clint Barton," Barton says.
"Nice to meet you Mr. Barton, Mr. Fury," I say. "But could you please explain further why you are here?" I ask politely.
"We're here to offer you a job," Mr. Fury says, "And call me Fury, everyone does."
"What would this job entitle?" I ask looking between Fury and Barton.
Fury gestures to Barton to speak.
"We are a secret organization," Barton says. "We hunt down people who are a threat to humanity and take care of them in any means necessary." Barton says.
"Captain," Fury says, addressing me - I am retiring from the Air Force at my final rank as a Captain. "If you take this job, you will automatically be considered a Level 7 Agent and work alongside me and Barton here to help eliminate threats across the world."
"So, you're telling me that if I take this job," I begin, "I'll be going into a job that entitles exactly what I retired from the Air Force doing?" I ask, and Fury and Barton exchange a glance with Ryan. I walk forward, stopping in front of Fury and extending out my hand. "I'll take it," I say and Barton smiles softly.
"Good to be in business with you Captain," Fury says, shaking my hand.
"Call me (Y/n)," I say and Barton smiles.
I now turn to Barton and stop forward to shake hands with Barton. "Nice to be working with you, Barton," the two of us shake hands.
"Call me Clint," he tells me and I smile.
"Stark," I turn around and look to Ryan. "You have permission to leave now instead of Saturday." he says and I nod. He then stands up and walks around the desk. "I'm gonna miss having you around, kid," he says, embracing me in a warm hug.
"I'm going to miss being around," I say, the two of us breaking from the hug. "I'll keep in touch, need anything, give me a call. See you around," I say, walking out of the office, Clint running after me.
"Need help packing your stuff, new partner?" he asks.
"Know what? Why not," I say shrugging, and I lead him to my dorm on the opposite side of the base. It was more of a house than a dorm. After Sokovia, Ryan decided that I should have a more private area to collect my thoughts. "What are you waiting for?" I tease Clint, holding the door open.
Laughing, he walks in, me following and I close the door.
"Dude, you've got a lot of stuff in here," Clint says looking around.
"Perks of being a Captain," I say, laughing, walking into my bedroom.
Pulling out the suitcase my Dad had helped me pack four years ago, I begin to fold all of my clothes. "Clint, please stay out there for a minute, I'm going to change out of this uniform."
"Okay," Clint calls back, and I close the door. I walk over to my closet and pull out a pair of black jeans, a dark blue t-shirt, and dark blue leather jacket. I change real quick and open the door.
"You're good now," I say and Clint walks into the room.
"So, where are you from?" he asks as I fold up all my clothes and begin to put them in the suitcase.
"Malibu," I say, and I look up to see him leaning against the wall. "Dude, you're making me uncomfortable just standing there. Do you not see that chair?" I tease.
"Are you like this all the time?" Clint teases back. "I might need to ask Director Fury for a new partner."
"Would that partner be able to do this?" I ask, stepping back and lighting my hand on fire. "Or this?" I continue, using my shape shifting ability to transform into a fox. "I don't think so," I say once I am human again.
"That's so cool," Clint says. "What else can you turn into?" asks Clint, "A hawk?" He asks, and I shift into a hawk. "A cat?" I shift into a Russian Blue cat. "A lion?" I shift from the cat to a lion. "So basically anything?" he asks.
I shift back to me. "I can also do people," I say. "I do have to see them first before I can shift into another person."
"Can you do me?" Clint asks, looking interested.
Closing my eyes, I focus for a moment and when I open them, I see Clint looking shocked, he is staring at himself. "You asked," I say, shifting back into myself.
"What other things abilities do you have?" Clint asks as I continue to fold and put the rest of my clothes into the suitcase. "I can control most nature related things, wind, water, fire, earth, and lighting based powers. Each of the others stem to other things. Water also connects to ice, so I do have abilities over ice and snow. The other elements also have, lets says, branches -" I stop, looking over at Clint. "Sorry," I say sheepishly.
"Nah, it's fine," Clint says smiling. "I like people who are passionate about what they do. Go on," he says.
"Sure?" I ask and he nods. "The other elements have branches as well. Fire connects to lava, so, in theory, I would be able to summon lava. Earth is strong, like a rock," I add, letting out a snort of laughter. "Sorry, that was bad," I continue. "Earth is strong, so from that I have super strength. Lightning creates storms, as well as other large amounts of energy. Wind, pretty powerful on it's own, but does have it's limits. With enough concentration, I would be able to summon a tornado, or, with the help of water, I would be able to create a hurricane." In explaining all of this to Clint, I had finished packing up all my clothes and I had closed and zipped up the suitcase.
"So," I clear my throat. "Want something to drink?" I ask picking up my suitcase and carrying it out and throwing it carelessly onto the couch. "I've got water, Gatorade, Coke?"
"Gatorade's fine," Clint says, and I toss him a bottle.
"So, what's your life like?" I ask, leaning against the kitchen counter. "Granola bar?" I ask, and Clint nods and I toss him one.
"I'd rather show you then tell," Clint says and I nod.
"Completely understand," I tell the blond and he nods in thanks.
"Guess I'd better call Pepper and tell her I'll be home earlier," I say, pulling out my phone.
"What about I show you about that life you were asking about first," Clint says. "If you're okay with that?" he adds hastily.
"I mean, I guess," I answer. "I'll have to be in Malibu by Saturday." I say, and Clint nods. "Well, people are going to want to say bye." I jog over to the door. "Wanna stay here, or wanna come?" I ask.
"I'll come," Clint says, walking over. "I'd better get used to hanging out with you," he says. "That might take a while," he teases and I roll my eyes.
"Let's go," I chirp cheerfully, opening the door, and Clint follows.
It takes us about half an hour but the two of us find everyone that I had connected with since I had joined four years ago. The only person I hadn't found yet, was Sam. Then I had a sudden revelation.
"Who are you looking for?" Clint asks curiously.
"My old partner and friend, Sam," I sigh. "I think I might know where he is," I say softly, and I jog to where Sam and I had left a monument to Riley.
And just as I had suspected, he was there, sitting on a bench.
"Sam?" I ask hesitantly, and he turns around.
"Hey, (Y/n)," he says softly and I go sit beside him.
"What's wrong?" I ask gently.
"It feels strange, you leaving after all this time," Sam says. "It feels, off, somehow," he says and I look down.
"I'll always keep in touch, you know that Sam," I say and he looks up, meeting my (E/C) eyes. "If ever you want to go on run for old time's sake, I'll always be around." I say and Sam laughs.
"What, and have you and you're super strength beat me every time? I don't think so," he says and I laugh.
Sam walks back over to me and I stand up. "I'll see you around, Sam," I say, giving him a hug, then jogging off back to my house/dorm.
I open the door and walk inside, not bothering to close it, knowing Clint and or Sam would follow me.
I walk over into the living area of the house and pull my guitar off the wall, glancing at it I set it on the couch and walk to my room to grab the case out of the closet.
Walking back into the living room, I look up to see Clint leaning against the doorway.
"Do you play?" Clint asks, nodding to the guitar on the couch.
"Nah, I just keep a guitar here, but don't know how to play it," I say jokingly.
Sitting down on the couch, I pull the guitar into the playing position, and begin to strum the introduction to "Hey there Delilah."
youtube
"Hey there, Delilah
What's it like in New York city?
I'm a thousand miles away But, girl, tonight you look so pretty Yes, you do Times Square can't shine as bright as you I swear, it's true
Hey there, Delilah Don't you worry about the distance I'm right there if you get lonely Give this song another listen Close your eyes Listen to my voice, it's my disguise I'm by your side
Oh, it's what you do to me Oh, it's what you do to me Oh, it's what you do to me Oh, it's what you do to me What you do to me
Hey there, Delilah I know times are gettin' hard But just believe me, girl Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar We'll have it good We'll have the life we knew we would My word is good
Hey there, Delilah I've got so much left to say If every simple song I wrote to you Would take your breath away I'd write it all Even more in love with me you'd fall We'd have it all
Oh, it's what you do to me Oh, it's what you do to me Oh, it's what you do to me Oh, it's what you do to me
A thousand miles seems pretty far But they've got planes and trains and cars I'd walk to you if I had no other way Our friends would all make fun of us And we'd just laugh along because we'd know That none of them have felt this way Delilah, I can promise you That by the time that we get through The world will never ever be the same And you're to blame
Hey there, Delilah You be good, and don't you miss me Two more years and you'll be done with school And I'll be makin' history like I do You know it's all because of you We can do whatever we want to Hey there, Delilah, here's to you This one's for you
Oh, it's what you do to me Oh, it's what you do to me Oh, it's what you do to me Oh, it's what you do to me What you do to me, oh oh, woah, woah Oh woah, oh Oh"
I strum the last couple of cords and finish, Clint looking impressed as I put the guitar in it's case.
"How long have you been playing?" he asks.
"Since I was about three or four," I answer and Clint nods.
"Who taught you?" he asks, moving to sit beside me on the couch.
"My mom," I reply. I clear my throat. "I don't have anything else to move if you're ready to go. I told Ryan to offer this to Sam once I leave."
"Okay then, let's go," Clint says and the two of us stand up.
I sling my guitar case over my shoulder, and Clint grabs my suitcase and we walk out of the house and towards a jet.
"This yours?" I ask, looking inside the jet.
"Belongs to the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division," Clint answers.
"Why don't you guys just call it SHIELD? That's clearly what it was named after. Someone really wanted it to say SHIELD, maybe it was after Captain America's SHIELD," I wonder.
"That's easier to say than the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division," Clint says, laughing. "Can you fly one of these things?" he asks.
"I was in the Air Force dude," I say. "I was a pilot."
"Good, I needed a co-pilot," Clint says, and I look at him questioningly.
"You're asking a professionally trained pilot to be your co-pilot?" I ask teasingly.
"Good, you completely understand," he says and I shake my head playfully.
"So," I ask when the jet was in the air. "Where are we off too?" I ask.
"Missouri," Clint answers.
Word Count: 2654 Words
Hope you guys like the direction I am taking this book. I've never seen anyone write an Avengers' reader insert this way.
