OK YEAH I completely forgot to post these!! A handful of my StarFox OCs. Maybe you recognize them? In order, they are: Petal, Geneva Shepherd, Izzy Dynamo, and Jast Todon.
As a refresher (or maybe an intro?):
Petal is an Aparoid made of Killer Bee and Borzoi fighter scrap metal. She was stationed on Katina, but lost all direction when the Aparoid Queen was killed. This event was fatal to most of the Aparoids, but as demonstrated by Pigma, some of them found a way to survive. Petal was one of them; her will was too strong to allow herself to die so soon. She would lay low and hide out of sight as to not be spotted by Cornerian soldiers, but was eventually discovered by Bill Grey. Rather than killing her, he took pity on her and let her live and integrate into society. She has no voice of her own and mimics other Lylatians’ voices to communicate. Since she spends most time around Bill, she sounds almost exactly like him.
Geneva Shepherd is a Cornerian-born German shepherd scientist affiliated with Andross’s empire and Venom. She views Venom’s rules as more freeing than Corneria, latching onto Venom’s side early into Oikonny’s rebellion; she was far too young to fight during the Lylat Wars. She runs a farcical Bioweapon rehabilitation program under the guise of benefiting the Cornerian government, but truthfully her program is a testing ground for her ultimate experiment: cloning Andross to revive him from the dead.
Izzy Dynamo is a Venomian frilled lizard mechanic. In his youth, though he was too young to fly a starship, he would help repair broken fighter ships alongside an older brother he lost to the Lylat Wars. He saw all Venom’s casualties as senseless and brutal, sympathizing with the remaining lieutenants who had lost many of their friends to the same war. He harbors a deep-seeded hatred for Corneria, but fears he is too weak to fight them himself. So, he made it his goal to unite Venom once more and pick up the pieces Star Fox tore out of the former empire. He teamed up with Geneva to covertly sew distrust and unrest among Corneria’s population.
Jast Todon is a hybrid—half sharpclaw half salamander—born in Sauria. As a non-dinosaur in a dinosaur world, he’d always feel inadequate and unwelcome for being “too soft”, especially among Sharpclaws. He didn’t even have clawed hands, how could he fit in, he thought. So as soon as interstellar travel was established between Sauria and the Lylat System, he left his home behind to start anew in Corneria. However, there, he began to experience the opposite problem. Suddenly he was dubbed “scary” and “beastly” by the denizens of the planet. No matter where Jast was, he felt alienated. He joined Andrew’s cause late into the rebellion and was assigned to Geneva and Izzy’s team as a bodyguard. He felt somewhat better about it, but still out of place in a way. He doesn’t care much for war or revenge, and just wants to meet someone who understands him completely.
Ok that was a lot!! I have been thinking abt these guys a lot lol. Hope you like them!

Taniwha: tide comes in, tide goes out
There are many abilities that Magic: the Gathering has left behind. Sometimes due to the complicated nature of the ability itself, other times because of ineffectiveness and a lot of the times, because the new block requires the design team to come up with something unique to the latest set. While the evolution of the game is a great thing, there are certain abilities that people have almost completely forgotten about, or live in the realm of obscurity only to be made fun of for how there is a general lack of understanding about how they work. Today’s commander possesses one such ability: Phasing.
For five mana, Taniwha is a 7/7 Legendary Serpent with Trample, Phasing and “At the beginning of your upkeep, your Islands phase out”. According to the official rules, Phasing goes into effect at the very beginning of the turn, BEFORE the untap step (https://mtg.gamepedia.com/Phasing). So, the way this looks is as follows; Turn 1, Taniwha is in play with summoning sickness and so are the Islands. Turn 2, Taniwha phases out and we still have our Islands. Turn 3, Taniwha phases in, lands untap and THEN phase out. From here on out, we either have Taniwha, or our lands. Tide goes in, tide goes out.
Because of the lands going away every other turn, this deck is in serious need of mana rocks. The build I currently have runs 14 or 15 of them. Sol Ring, Darksteel Ingot, Thran Dynamo, Sky Diamond and many, many more. Having access to mana without lands is essential to having consistently productive turns. Sapphire Medallion is also good as it does act as a cost reducer for a majority of the cards in this deck.
While our mana will phase out at the beginning of the upkeep that Taniwha phases back in, that doesn’t mean it can’t be tapped for mana in response. While this mana will fade away as we move to main phase, it can still be used during the upkeep to cast instant speed spells and activate abilities. Leyline of Anticipation or Vedalkan Orrey are both fantastic for allowing the deck to never have a dull moment. There are also plenty of instant speed spells to cast that can assist in the tempo game. Sunder is mean, but can pave the way for us to cast our stuff without fear of countering. Sunder will also probably get you hated out if you can’t pull off a win right then, so try to make the most of it. Evacuation, Cyclonic Rift and other instant speed mass bounce spells are the bread and butter of this deck. Bounce everything then attack with big creatures.
What big creatures? How about an arsenal of Kraken, Leviathans and Octopi? Slinn-Voda, Kederekt Leviathan and Lorthos the Tidemaker are all great at beating face and either bouncing or tapping down opponents. There are plenty of other big blue creatures to get people with and Thassa God of the Sea and Deepchannel Mentor can help them get there by making them unblockable. Stormtide Leviathan can also act as a massive wall, both as a blocker and because of it’s ability to neutralize grounded creatures.
While this deck loves big creatures, there is room for some little ones as well. Thada Adel is an outstanding merfolk who allows you to take artifacts from your opponents’ decks. Lightning Greaves, Sol Rings other mana rocks, she gets all of these. Lighthouse Chronologist is another extremely powerful little creature. Though it may take a few turns to pump it into a game bending threat, it is worth it when you are able to have multiple extra turns. Man-o-war is another on theme creature that follows our bounce-tempo strategy. Finally, Chasm Skulker becomes more massive with each draw and upon its demise, summons a school of islandwalking squid.
The deck isn’t just big creatures and bounce. Though, to be fair, it mostly is. Some other key things to look at with this deck are Dramatic Reversal and Isochron Scepter. Infinite mana is always good, especially when we have huge creatures and no lands. Add a ton of mana, bounce everything, then replay your entire fleet. Blue Sun’s Zenith also works as a win condition, forcing opponents to draw their entire decks. Nexus of Fate can also seal a win, either by being the last card left after a Blue Sun combo, or just by giving you an extra turn to smash with creatures.
This deck can be a little complicated, but most Tempo style decks require a significant amount of finesse to properly play. Taniwha is one of the strangest commanders in my arsenal, but it is among the strongest decks I have. I hope this list has shed some light on a strange card from days gone by, or at least provided some education on the rulings of Phasing. Who knows, maybe I’ll see another Taniwha deck out in the wild. Happy brewing, as always, here’s my list: https://manastack.com/deck/taniwha-big-blue-tempo
Artist Credits: Taniwha - Ian Miller, Thada Adel - Andrew Robinson, Blue Sun’s Zenith - Izzy, Sunder - Stephen Daniele, Sapphire Medallion - Daniel Ljunggren, Slinn Voda - Grzegorz Rutowski, Leyline of Anticipation - Noah Bradley, Cyclonic Rift - Chris Rahn

fic masterlist | playlist (apple music / spotify)
The salt water gave her a little break away from the chaos the island was experiencing. Sitting on the deck, feet dangling into the water, she sighed. The sun was coming up, her face illuminated with the beautiful oranges and pinks the sky was offering.
It was a peaceful morning. No one to bother her, mind clear of thoughts. Just her and the ocean breeze.
Looking down towards her lap, her eyes caught the glimmer of her engagement ring. Beautiful 7 karat diamond, with a thin silver band. Smiling, she rubbed the crystal with her pointer finger, before admiring the sunset again.
Hearing her name in the distance, she turned, her best friend walking towards her, two plates in her hands. Reaching her, she handed her a plate, before sitting down.
“Thought I’d find you here.” looking down at her plate, she noticed all her favorites. “Eat up, we have lots to do.”
Sighing, she smiled, before indulging in her breakfast. The sun had risen, the sky now a beautiful clear blue, the waves a little higher than they were a half hour ago. She loved it.
“You have something on your mind, what’s up?” her friend nudged her shoulder, turning her whole body to face her, fork digging into the various pieces of fruit.
“I invited them.”
Her best friend knew, she had an assumption after seeing her room littered with papers. “Did they RSVP?” she only nodded. “Maybe this isn’t bad. A good way to relieve the stress.”
“They mean everything to me.”
“Maybe a little too much.”
“Hey!” she laughed, shooting her best friend a glare. “I-I just haven’t seen them in years. It’s making me nervous. They’re supposed to get here in a couple hours.”
“You’ll be okay, having a support system is good on your pre-wedding day. Plus, we all need a shoulder to lean on,” she paused, “or three, don’t be afraid. Besides, we have a bachelor party to run, so come on, get your mind off of this for a while.”
Nodding, she got up, holding her now empty plate in her hands, before walking back to the hotel with her. Thoughts were running through her head, yet she sighed them away, wanting nothing more than to enjoy her bachelor party. They wouldn’t ruin it, she knew that. What she didn’t know, was if they backed out last minute.
Reaching the hotel, she walked in, slipping on her bathing suit, and a cover up, before going to help in the marker. The bridesmaids wouldn’t get there till the afternoon, so she busied herself.
“Hi Ms. Macy, how are you this lovely morning?”
The woman turned around, her face lighting up as she brought her into a hug. “I’m good, mija. Are you excited for the big day?”
“Nervous, but I’ll be alright.” smiling, she turned towards the inventory. “So, what are we restocking today?”
-
Meanwhile, the boys were running, getting into taxis’ and heading towards the docks, hoping they wouldn’t be late to the get on the boat. It was easily a three hour drive to the docks, so they busied themselves, reading books, texting friends, looking through old photos.
They were each nervous, the thrill of seeing their best friend again was coursing through their veins. Yet, one of them felt a different way.
After a long three hour drive, of mostly doing nothing, they all arrived, with 5 minutes to spare. Quickly getting on the busy boat, they each found an open seat, as the boat left the docks, heading on its way towards Kalokairi.
The salty air wafted up their noses, as each of them relished in the feeling of being back at sea again. They hadn’t gone to the beach in a long time, so this definitely brought back memories.
They reached Kalokairi in an hour, as each of them descended onto the dock, walking towards what looked like a blue flatbed truck. Their faces lit up as they noticed who was there, waiting for them.
“Izzy!” one of them yelled, dropping his bags before running over and greeting his other best friend. The boys followed, each doing the same before they put her down, walking to the truck together.
“How are you? It’s been way too long.”
“You’re telling me, Parker, when did you get so buff?”
“Eh, just hitting the gym every once in a while.” shrugging his shoulders, he watched her laugh, all of them getting into the truck. “So, how is she?”
“Nervous. Excited. Very busy. She’s happy you guys came, just a couple hours ago, she thought you would bail.”
“We would never bail on her wedding day. Y/n is crazy.”
“Well, Holland, she hasn’t had the best reputation when it comes to guys after the whole.. Incident.”
“Don’t you remember, mate? When she called you in the middle of filming just to tell you what had happened with date number four.” the blonde nudged his friend.
“Yeah, but that was years ago, Haz.” shrugging, they all watched the hotel come into view, “Anyways, how can we help?”
“For now, I need you guys to stay in the goat house. I want your appearance to be a surprise, so just settle in for now. I’ll let you guys know when you can come on out and help us.”
They were confused, but nodded. Didn’t Y/n know that they were coming? Izzy stopped the truck, as they climbed out and grabbed their luggage, before trudging up the flight of stairs to the goat house. Opening the door, each of them set their bags down by the mattresses, before Izzy left.
“So, now what?”
-
Her arms were tired, her morning and part of the afternoon spent carrying boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables. Heading back to the hotel, she changed into a light pink t-shirt, and some overalls, before slipping on her vans and walking to the blue truck waiting outside. The keys were still in the ignition, as she headed to the dock, wanting to see her bridesmaids and best friends.
Parking the truck, she jumped out, running to the dock, as people with decorations, food, and anything needed for the wedding walked by her. Stopping at the edge of the dock, she put her hands on her cheeks, looking straight ahead at her two other best friends. “Will you look at what the tide washed in?”
Her friends struck their signature poses, hands holding imaginary mics, as she mirrored them from afar.
“For one night!”
“And one night only!”
In sync, their smiles grew wider, “Donna, and the Dynamos!” As if on cue, they ran to each other, arms open to welcome and reunite. They clashed, holding each other, they spun in a circle, before unwrapping their arms from each other.
“It’s been too long! Oh my god, your ring, Y/n, it’s beautiful!” she waved her hand, dismissing their comments and helping with their luggage. “You found a good one, then?”
“Oh stop!” she said, a blush rising to her cheeks. “He is, I think he’s the one, girls.”
“Well, he certainly is, if you said yes! How’s the party planning going?”
She turned, sighing before lugging the suitcases onto the trunk. “Well, chaotic. Izzy is leaving me out of everything, so I’m basically just lounging around the island while everyone gets the bachelor party running. So, I don’t know.” They all piled into the truck, as she sped off towards where Izzy was waiting for them. “So, tell me, what’s up with you guys? Anything new while we were off chasing our dreams?”
“Well, Jason broke things off.” one of them said, before a big grin spread across her face. “But, date number four went well, so we’ll see where that goes!”
“Oh boy, here comes the second wedding!”
“No, no! Not in a million years! I’m not looking to settle down just yet!”
“We’ll see, in two years she’s gonna be carrying a baby in that belly of her’s!” her other friend rubbed the belly, as her hands were swatted at, a laugh escaping their lips. “I can see you rocking the bump already!”
“That’s only because you’ve already seen me with a bump, remember? High school play, I was the very pregnant teenager!”
“Oh my gosh, I forgot about that play! Remember, when Rachel slapped the belly out of your shirt and the teacher lost it?”
“Iconic!” they laughed, the truck stopping as Izzy looked down from the terrace. “Girls, hurry up! We have lots to do!” she paused, a smile on her lips, “And Y/n?” she looked up, nodding. “Stay down there!”
She rolled her eyes, a smile on her lips as she bid her goodbyes to her friends, before driving down to the beach, sunglasses over her eyes.
-
Izzy grabbed Caitlin and Taylor’s hands, dragging them to their room and dropping off the luggage before turning to them. “So, Y/n doesn’t know that they’re here already.”
“Who?” Caitlin asked, as Izzy rolled her eyes. “Oh! Them!”
Nodding, Izzy led them to the goat house. “They’re here. I told them to stay here while I get everything ready.”
She walked up the stairs to the room, opening the door before her eyes widened. “Damn it!”
“What?” they peered inside, noticing an empty room. “Nice job, Izzy. You had one job.”
“Not my fault the boys are impatient!”
“Well, now we have to find them before Y/n does.”
Izzy sighed, the two girls following behind her as they dispersed, each searching a different part of the island.
Meanwhile, the boys were exploring, walking along the beach as they noticed a figure in the distance. The sun was blocking their view, as Peter nudged the two boys next to him. “Guys?”
They turned, following his gaze. The figure walked along the beach, before stripping of their cover up, picking up a surfboard from the sand and running into the ocean. They watched, before Peter’s gaze fixed on the figure’s face, a gasp leaving his lips. “It’s her!”
“Who?”
“Y/n.”
The atmosphere fell silent, as they watched her, surfing without difficulty against the harsh waves. The sun bounced off the shiny board, as she prepared to stand up and ride the wave. As soon as she did, the wave gave a harsh turn, as she was flipped off her board. Peter’s eyes widened, as he looked between the two before tearing off his shirt and running to the ocean. He dived inside, heading straight for her and bringing her up for air. She coughed, as they broke the surface, looking at him with a confused look.
“Peter?”
He turned, bringing her over to her board before sheepishly smiling. “Uh, hi Y/n.”
“Wh-you came? Oh my god!” she enveloped him in a hug, as he sat on the board with her. “I didn’t think you’d make it, with everything going on at home!”
“I was able to slip it in.”
“What about your Spidey duties? Who’s taking over while you’re gone?”
“Tony stepped in. He said it was fine, I needed a break anyways. What about you? How’s Kalokairi treating you?”
She shrugged, a smile on her face. “I love it, it’s the same old, but we’ve had more people come and stay so that’s fun!”
He noticed the glint the ring gave off, before picking up her left hand. “Wow, that’s a nice one!” She nodded, as he admired the ring. “Damn, you picked a good one.”
“That’s exactly what Caitlin said!”
“Wait, she’s here? I haven’t seen her since she was expelled for standing up against Flash!”
She nodded, as Peter only smiled. “Should we head back?”
Peter swam, as she followed behind, dragging her surfboard and laying it on the sand, as Peter motioned for the other two to come over. She looked up, freezing when she made eye contact with someone she didn’t think would come at all. Harrison smiled at her, enveloping her into a hug.
“So, you guys made it.”
They nodded, as she sighed. Harrison noticed her change in behavior, and glares at Tom, who tried to break the ice with a smile.
“Well, it was nice to see you guys, I have to go now. Bye!” she slipped on her cover up before running in the opposite direction.
They watched, Harrison nudging Tom as he took off behind her.
“Y/n!” She stopped, a few feet away and turning around, facing him.
“What do you want, Tom?” her arms crossed over her chest as he sighed.
“I just wanted to say that I’m sorry.”
“For what? You didn’t do anything, right? You just broke my heart, left me here in Kalokairi waiting weeks for you and you never came back. Nothing.”
“I”m sorry.”
“Tom, when you were gone, did you ever think of how I got though? I was always thinking, how can I even try to go on?”
“I didn’t want to leave you, you know this!”
“Right.”
“The love you gave me, nothing else could save me.” Tom said, taking small steps towards you, “What happened to our love?”
“You made me feel alive, but something died. Tom, it’s gone. I’m getting married, tomorrow, I moved on.”
“Y/n, come on. Where are those happy days? It used to be so nice, it used to be so good.”
“I really tried to make it out, I wish you understood,” she sighed, shaking her head. “I’m sorry, Tom.”
Turning around, she left him there, standing on the beach with a frown on his face. Burying his face in his hands, he groaned.
Tom screwed everything up.

Oh, this picture’s colors are so warped...
BUT I GOT PHOTOSHOP FOR CHRISTMAS! So I decided to try out this program by drawing my starfox characters! Geneva Shepherd, Izzy Dynamo, and R. S. Duke, now with updated color schemes (though I don’t think any of them had those in the first place to be honest).
Geneva is a German Shepherd scientist stationed on Titania. Her main job, at least right now, is reviving and rehabilitating the Goras. Truthfully, she was employed by the Cornerian forces to work for good, but upon doing research and discovering that the Star Fox team themselves destroyed all the bioweapons, she secretly and silently shifted sides to the Venomian Empire. She won’t tell anyone, other than her close friends. She expresses loyalty to the rebellion through her outfit, but most people either don’t notice, or get yelled at for assuming she’d follow their cause. She has a strange fixation on the Emperor’s heir.
Izzy Dynamo is a Frilled Lizard working as a mechanic and a pilot. He usually serves as Geneva’s getaway driver, in case she finds herself in a dangerous situation. He’s always been loyal to the Venomian cause, as he was born on Venom. His strong suit is his connections, as even though Geneva and Duke are almost off the grid, Izzy knows several important figures in the rebellion, people who’ve survived Star Fox’s wrath.
R.S. Duke is a Red-Shanked Douc Lancur. She was born on Macbeth, and used to be a member of the Forever Train’s crew. Before the war ended, she lived a rather simple life, and worked a simple job, but it all came crashing down when Venom lost. Her motive is simple, kill all the members of team Star Fox, to get revenge on them for killing her boss. She engineers massive weapons, and since Izzy hired her, she also works to design specialized ships.

The Schedule of Dr. Julius P. Lieberman
At six in the morning, Lieberman lumbered to his office, his cup of coffee nearly empty but still piping hot, his keys slipping from his tired fingers. “Dr. Julius P. Lieberman” was etched into a bronze plate on the door, embroidered by carvings that resembled climbing vines.
Doctor, he mused. It was easy to get a title if you were doing a job no one wanted.
He stuck his key into the lock and twisted it. This opened the hatch next to the knob where he had to enter his password onto a pad.
Passwords were purged every month, so he would need to make sure to set a new one before the end of the night. The requirements that the password be no less than five hundred characters long, include three different discernable languages, and utilize eight different number combinations interspersed evenly throughout had killed his love for every song he found easy enough to remember and modify for this purpose.
He entered his password, a heavily mutilated rendition of “It’s a Beautiful Morning”, performed the retinal scan, and provided a hair and saliva sample. The unseen mechanisms of the door could be heard whirring and clicking.
The frame cracked open, and Lieberman entered his office.
“Sanctuary,” he said. The lights turned on, reflecting painfully from the steel walls that filled the office. As the gears continued to work, pulling the plates into their respective slots in the walls, ceiling, and floor, Lieberman contemplated what his schedule would look like today.
Eclipse would be his first appointment at seven. Being nocturnal, the end of her day was the beginning of her therapist’s. It was easy for them to reach the conclusion that an hour and a half in the morning worked best for her.
He just hoped she wasn’t bleeding out this time. The once-white carpet of his floor was irreparably dinged from all the people who thought that just because Lieberman specialized in the psychology of heroes, he didn’t mind having them come in drenched in their—or even someone else’s—blood.
At nine, he’d meet with Kid Dynamo for two hours. He didn’t like therapy and made no effort to hide it. However, his parents wouldn’t let him move to the city if he didn’t learn how to get his anger under control.
And there was no telling how upset they’d be if they knew their son was a vigilante. Confidentiality was Liberman’s specialty, and, having raised three teenagers into productive adults, he had no trouble communicating with the boy.
The only concern he had for him was how handsome he was; and how handsome he knew he was. He was going to begin school at the University of Alcides in the Autumn, and the last thing Lieberman wanted was another distraction for his granddaughters.
Once the plates were fully hidden—with additional concealment to their slots in the form of draping plants, Lieberman made his way behind his desk, pulling a mug from his cabinet, and began preparing more coffee for himself.
At noon he’d meet with Bombshell, one of his few villain clients. A decade ago, she’d graduated from the University of Alcides to begin her work as a pharmaceutical laboratory technician. However, when she was unimpressed with her starting salary, she began the slow decline into villainy.
Her ability to generate explosions from affection was terrifying. With her titillating choice of costume, she would turn those aroused by her into living bombs, threatening to detonate them unless they met her demands.
After turning herself in and serving five years for her robberies, she was now on probation and had to attend therapy as part of it. She’d thought to do Lieberman a favor, donning heavy clothes and thick glasses, avoiding make up and not doing her hair, to keep him as unattracted to her as possible during their sessions.
Unfortunately for Bombshell, Lieberman liked his women a little frumpy.
He sat at his desk and looked over his paperwork and groaned in disapproval.
At three he’d meet with Izzy Newton, the child genius who alleged to be from the future, said outlandish things that he claimed his therapist wasn’t smart enough to understand, and laughed mockingly when Lieberman did things like sneeze or scratch his beard.
At four thirty, Brigit Myers would come for her twice-weekly session. The fact that she had sixteen different personalities with unique needs and issues made handling her a challenge, but from her sessions alone Lieberman was able to buy his daughter a new car for her birthday, so he wouldn’t complain.
His last session was at seven, with Carnelian. It unnerved Lieberman how, listening to the complaints and worries from the otherworldly general of Meteor City’s most dangerous crime syndicate, he found a kindred spirit in this client. Their chats were pleasant, often times going on a bit long, but were always a bit spiritually fruitful for both of the men.
Lieberman’s musing was interrupted by a knock at his door.
“Come in.”
It was Eclipse, her uniform tattered, her eye blacked, saturated in the off-color blood of something, who said, “Good morning, Dr. Lieberman. How’d you sleep?”
The doctor watched as alien blood stained his white carpet—again. He kept himself from sighing, gave his client a polite smile, and said, “Safely, thanks to you, Eclipse.”
Prompt: [WP] It’s not easy, superhero therapy. Especially when most your patients can kill you as an afterthought. Still, you won’t let anyone sully your perfect track record.
This story, like much of my writing here, was taken from prompts that I found online. Having seen so many different superhero prompts, I decided to congeal them all into one universe. It won’t make a lot of sense, but it will be fun to write. I hope you enjoy!

Ask game, 15 and 4
OOOOH ok so 15 is interesting bc back in the day, i wanna say late 2019-early 2020? I actually had like unique crimson/corrupted versions of p much all my main ocs at the time. But all that art is pretty old, and im not rly using the headcanons that its all based on BUUUT i do think they will influence my answer. Im just gonna give general answers for each biome infection (and also lunar stuff bc. I think theyre also very very good for turning characters Eeeevil) n then rattle off some more interesting specific cases
Corrupt- i get the feeling a corruption infection is kind of like being a zombie but a little to the right. A lot of brain fog and not really all there mentally. Wanna bite. Dunno why. Wanna dig holes. Wanna shove people in holes. Also seems like itd be an airborne thing, but not in the way of like. Single celled bacteria invisible to the human eye, but like spores and poisonous fungi and that kinda thing. This kinda feels like a nice default thag i think a lot of my ocs could succumb to tbh, but i dont think any are particularly interesting EXCEPT. For Maxwell. Bc. Ive got 3 guide ocs. Scott, whos like your beginning prehm guide whos got pretty good all around knowledge but doesnt rly delve deeper into any specific terrarian aspect. N then Zach, whos like the guide at the endgame, knows just so much insider knowledge abt the lunar amd solar cults yes i made a solar cult, hes the "what's next?" To scott's "what is?". N then Maxwell is the guide right into hardmode, has extensive knowledge about the hallow and world evils, esp corruption. And like. He would absolutely knoe about how corruption spreads and how it infects people and he'd know exactly how to prevent it. So if he got corrupted its bc he WANTED. To be corrupted. For one reason or another. Large scale revenge? Mad scientist research? Who knows.
Crimson- a crimson infection is just straight bloodlust and violence babey! Just visceral instincts overriding all. Kill kill kill bite bite bite and whatnot. I think to get a crimson infection, it would be really super easy if you're not careful. Like a bite that breaks the skin could do it. But yknow if ur in full armor ur basically fine. More potent than corruption, harder time spreading to those who are prepared. It is for this reason i think Vexx, Dynamo and Crow especially all could be taken over w crimson just so easily- all are pretty reckless, and crow's poking around in there often already for research purposes. Fuck now im compelled to draw like super ultra crimson crow or some1 but its soooo late rn
Hallow- lots of "warped sense of justice" kinda stuff. No harming of wildlife, such a crime is punishable by death, spreading "good" chaos by force. Murder is okay 👍 I think mattie would succumb to this p easily. He seems like the type to hang around the hallow anyway and yknow, hes a bit naive and gullible. Very strong heart + easily malleable mind which is a winning combo for a hallow infection. Same thing w Val and Izzy who im aware ive never mentioned but all you need to know abt them for this is that they're teenagers with very strong opinions. OH ALSO yall've seen that episode of Gumball "The Joy" right? The one with the outbreak of a joy virus that turns everyone into very happy zombies w big dilated eyes and pastel rainbow bloodshed. Thats also what im picturing. Good shit
Ok rapidfire lunar stuff lets go
Solar- similarly violent and aggressive as crimson but more strategic rather than purely instinctual. Affects my melee ocs the most (terra, dynamo)
Vortex- alien worms and parasites In Ur Gutz!! That make you diseased before taking over to give you the planning abilities to strategically take out the others in your life one by one (pixie, vivian, crow)
Nebula- BECOME PART OF THE HIVE MIND TODAY AND MOVE LIKE A WEIRD PUPPET AND ACT LIKE A LEECH (mage) (mattie, isaac, not izzy bc shes like 15 and perfect)
Stardust- alters your brain matter in such a way that you just sooo want to live in space and ur gonna take EEEVERYONE w you by FORCE bc isnt it so PRETTY (vexx, tbh i think isaac already has a bit of this in him already. Hes fuckin weird. Again not val bc shes 15 and perfect)
Okok one more interesting thing: Astral Infection! Including it bc crow canonically (at least in the current cal multiplayer run) did get a pretfy bad astral infection..infection, basically from breathing in all the Particles. All the snow and dirt n shit. And it all kinda gathered in his lungs and started burning them from the inside out, and it just outwardly looked like a high ER-worthy fever and bad cough, still scary but like. Not "i think an alien disease is eating away at him from the inside" scary. Thankfully his besties stopped it from getting worse, bc otherwise it wouldve completely burned holes thru his chest and killed him, his body just kind of letting out more toxic fumes until hes like. Zombified or smth. Im still new to cal and also idk the full lore </3
Wow that was a lot of rambling! Its 1:40 am so im gonna answer the other questjon 2morrow! (Same deal for the other anon thag sent in a question, TY BTW)
#terraria#ocs#sorry if theres 4849395i93 typos i cannot keep my eyes open rn im so tired ghdjfjf#long post

British Open Champions crowned at Colets
So, after five days of incredible squash, the finals; and players aspiring to join some of the legendary names in squash that have been British Open Masters Champions include Hashim Khan, Jonah Barrington, Ross Norman and Sarah Fitzgerald - so today’s champions will be in excellent company.
This year’s sponsors, Karakal, have made it the best rewarded Masters event in the world with cool prizes for the younger groups and generous vouchers for all finalists. This goes a long way towards England Squash Masters' aim of valuing Masters Squash and rewarding them for their efforts and excellence.
The game’s "elder statesmen", the Men’s Over 80s saw the ever-lively Lance Kinder (HPS) take on World Champion Malcom Gilham (SFK). Gilham took the first but Kinder was the more mobile and took the match 3/1. His 4th British Open.
The younger men of the 75s had Yorkshire dynamo Mike Clemson take on North American Champion Gerald Poulton of Canada. This one went backwards and forwards and always looked to go to five. It did and Clemson emerged the stronger to take the title.
The Women’s 70s put together long-time rivals Bett Dryhust (WOC) and Ann Manley (AVN). Ann has had the upper hand recently and so it continued here. The Men’s 70s had a contrast in styles with Howard ‘Merlin’ Cherlin (MDX) with great touch and flair and Aubrey Waddy (BUX) a strong and fit left-hander. A good match was not to be, however, as Waddy pulled a thigh in the first. The title to Cherlin - his first open.
At over 65 level Scotland’s Faith Sinclair is the outstanding player but Sue Wastie (OFE) has been playing well. The favourite came through, however, after a close 16/14 first game. The men’s finalists Joe Richardson (BKS) and Ian Holmes (NHT) had both done some ‘giant killing’ and were playing very well. So it proved in a very close match that probably hinged on four game balls that Joe did not convert in the third. He lost that 18/16, won the fourth but faded in the fifth. A first major title for Ian Holmes.
The Women’s 60s matched National Champion Sian Johnson the Wales No. 1 against several times World Champion Julie Field (YKS). Field proved the stronger and came through to win 3/1. Jeremy Goulding (AVN) won the Nationals and British open when he turned 55. Now at 60 he did it again proving too strong for National Champion Allen Barwise (LNH). His goal is now the World Masters in August.
Possibly the most anticipated match was the 55s between champion of the last two years Mark Woodliffe (GAR) and Sweden’s former top 20 player Freddie Johnson. Both men have won six British Opens. The Swedish perpetual motion machine was the man to make it seven as he recovered from a first game loss to win 3/1. Mandy Akin (KNT) and Fiona McLean (Scot) have had some epic battles in the last few years. The Scot beat the Kent last year and proved too good again in spite of a close 2nd.
American Champion Hope Prockop was the favourite in the Women’s Over 50s to defend the title she’s won for two years, but Andrea Santamaria (YKS) had other ideas. In a match full of skill and clever squash the Pontefract player emerged a winner in five hard fought games. Yawar Abbas (DCL) lost to Dave Youngs (NFIC) in the National Final and as Youngs went 2/0 up it looked like a repeat. Abbas dug in deep and pulled out a remarkable come-back to win 3/2.
Shayne Baillie of Surrey, of South African extraction, is England's No. 1 over 45 and she met County and National team-mate Isabelle Tweedle. There was some excellent squash from both players; Baillie won her first Open. The Men’s 45s matched the powerful Irish International Steve Richardson against Zuko Kubukeli of South Africa. A fantastic match that went one way then another. By the fifth game it was anyone’s. A tight one went the way of the South African.
England team-mates Keeley Johnson (KNT) and Rachel Calver (LEC) have played several finals and Keeley was on a run until the Nationals. She gained her revenge here, however and won in straight games. Colets Club captain Scott Handley (OFE) met former World No. 2 Peter Marshall (NOT) in the 40s final and the match was a cracker through a hugely contested third game which went to Marshall 16/14, and this gave him the impetus to take the match 3/1.
The Women’s Over 35s Final has two top players both of whom have reached a World ranking of 18. Lauren Briggs of Essex is the current National, Open and European Champion and she proved to be too strong today for Dominique Lloyd-Walter (SRY) winning 3/0.
The Men’s 35s was a masterclass by Sussex pro. Tim Vail. Surrey’s Phil Nightingale is a strong and professional player – still competing on the Pro. Tour. But Vail is a very classy player and gave him no time as he put on a wonderful display of power and touch to win the British Open Over 35 title 3/0.

FULL DRAWS & RESULTS
Semi-Finals at Colets
The tournament reached the critical semi-finals stage with some thrilling matches in prospect.
The game’s ‘elder statesmen’, Men’s Over 80s, saw old rivalries renewed. Many time Champion, they are in fact all many time champions, Patrick Kirton went down 3-2 to Lance Kinder in a reversal of usual fortunes. Meanwhile, World Masters Champion Malcolm Gilham proved too good for John Woodliffe winning 3-0.
Their younger counterparts the Men’s Over 75s saw another upset when four-time World Champion Adrian Wright went down 3-1 to Canadian Champion Gerald Poulton. In the other semi the ever-running Mike Clemson came back from 2-1 down to win in five games.
There was drama in the Men’s Over 70s when top seed and Scotland No.1 Ian Ross was hit on the head by Aubrey Waddy, Ian’s fault unfortunately. 1-0 up but down in the second at the time of the injury, Ian didn’t recover and lost 3-1. Meanwhile, Howard ‘Merlin’ Cherlin was weaving his spells around the mobile and determined Jack Halford, after the first game it was all Cherlin.
The top seed fell in the 65s as well. ‘Judge’ John Goodrich never quite got his ‘A’ game going and the ever-steady Ian Holmes picked him off in straight games. He will face Berkshire stalwart Joe Richardson who has put together four excellent results so far as he dismantled Geoff Walton who was feeling the effects of a marathon yesterday which removed the No.2 seed.
In the Women’s Over 70s Ann Manley opened her account by beating Barbara Sanderson. In the over 65s Faith Sinclair beat June Hill as did Sue Wastie to set up a final tomorrow. The over 60s saw a tremendous battle between National Champion Sian Johnson, the Welsh No.1, and former Open Champion Jill Campion. Sian went 2-1 down but her fine racket skills got her through in five. In a battle of world champions Julie Field proved too good for Karen Hume winning 3-0.
The Men’s Over 60s had Jeremy Goulding a former Open Champion end the run of top seed slayer Ian Bradburn while the other semi was an interesting meeting between National Champion Allen Barwise and former world No.3 and National Champion (open group) Gawain Briars. Briar’s great touch had the better of the first game as a nervous Barwise made a number of errors, Barwise steadied, edged the second and took control to win 3-1.
The top seeds came through in the over 55s to set up a mouth-watering clash. Mark Woodliffe, now coaching in Switzerland, has won for the last two years but for three games Darren Withey fought a hard and matched him. Squeezing a 2-1 lead Woodliffe powered through the fourth for a 3-1 win. Meanwhile, the perpetual motion machine that is Freddie Johnson of Sweden went into overdrive to keep the very accomplished Eamonn Price out of it and won 3-0.
The Women’s Over 50s pitted the USA and defending champion Hope Prockford against Welsh Champion Helen Bernard. Both women are terrific athletes but Hope had the edge for a 3-1 win. Andrea Santamaria the no.2 seed took on 3/4 seed and National Champion, Rachel Woolford. Andrea proved too strong and gave her opponent no chance.
The Women’s Over 55s saw the two expected finalists go head to head as Kent’s Mandy Akin proved too capable for Hampshire’s Bev Brockway and after a close first Mandy went through. There she will meet defending champion Fiona Mclean, the Scottish No.1, who ended the giant killing run of Colets based Tammy Bennet.
David Youngs’ unique style of play was under pressure from the fitness and speed of Phil Yerby, but it was the National Champion who prevailed in 5 “all over the court” games. In the other half of the Men’s 50s Yawar Abbas came through an athletic contest against Rick Weatherall to set up a re-match of the National final against Youngs.
There was a Battle Royale in the Men’s Over 45s as Ireland star Steve Richardson took on Neil Frankland of Scotland. Level at 1-1, the third was vital and in a tempestuous match it was the Irishman who clinched it 16/14 and marched on with the fourth 3-1. In the final he will meet the South African speed demon Zuko Kubukeli, who after dropping the first to the immensely talented Galen Le Cheminant, proved too dynamic for him winning 3-1.
The top four seeds are in the semis of the Men’s Over 40s and former World No.2 and National Champion Peter Marshall pummelled the ball double handed to shut out Paul Allen. Marshall will play Colets star and club captain Scoot Handley who was able to move Croatian No.1 Dom Spoljar around at will. Some great squash but, Handley was always going to win.
In the Women’s Over 40s top seed and defending champion Keeley Johnson overcame Surrey’s Vicky Strange in straight games to set up another final against Rachel Calver who lost a run of finals to her before Rachel won the National Final. Calver beat the talented Zoe Shardlow 3-1, the final should be a good game.
In the Men’s Over 35s top seed Tim Vail showed off his silky-smooth skills as he made the game look easy. Oxfordshire’s Ross Gore worked very hard but got no change from Vail. It’s difficult to see anyone beating him. In the bottom half of the draw has last year’s finalist Phil Nightingale the No.2 seed went 2 down to Keith Timms before powering back to win in five gruelling games.
The Women’s Over 35s has two outstanding players who were both world ranked No.18. Laura Briggs powered through Reka Burmeister and Dominique Lloyd-Walter beat Selina Sinclair to set up the much-anticipated final.
