five years.

on the 17th of February 2024, we celebrated our 5th year together. this was the first time na nag celebrate kami na ginastusan namin. thought we'd like to try something new, so nag book ako ng photo session sa isang self-shoot studio dito sa Legazpi.

may be something different sa photo booth like yung nasa Timezone na 1st year palang namin together, binalak na namin na hindi naman matuloy tuloy haha. then i got the idea when we had the experience last year with my bestfriend and her husband sa isang photo booth din non sa Trinoma. so why not try a photo session nalang din.

the experience was fun, kahit ang hirap picturan ni J kasi laging funny yung mukha niya at awkward yung smile niya—kailangan ko lagi siyang patawanin para makuha ko yung gusto kong smile niya. haha. actually, awkward narin ako mag pose, i'm not that confident enough narin para mag pose e haha ewan ko ba.

also, we had baby back ribs for our dinner date at Gringo. i find this really something special cos beside sa di nga kami nag cecelebrate masyado ng monthsary at anniversary, lagi lang din kami sa fast food kumakain. ito lang yung second time na gumastos kami ng libo para sa food namin. hehe. (medj kinikilig tuloy ako ngayon cos playing in the background ang Anchor by Novo Amor while typing this haha)

now i realized, na ang layo na pala talaga ng narating namin. dati nung LDR pa kami hindi kami nakakapag celebrate ng birthdays and anniversaries namin together, ang hirap kapag LDR diba. halos 2 years pa kami di nagkita nung pandemic. nito lang kami nakapag celebrate ng magkasama nung andito na ako.

ngayon, iba naman sa panunuod ng sine na usual na ginagawa namin tuwing monthsary or anniversary. hindi natuloy yung na-plan naming travel last year for this, so baka next year nalang. hehe.

dati lagi kong iniisip, ang tagal na namin pero never pa namin natry mag ganito, ganyan—nagtatampo pa ako kasi parang ang boring ng relationship namin. pero napagtanto ko, marami pa namang taon ang dadaan at pagsasamahan namin para itry lahat ng bago sa relasyon na 'to.

Chapter 28: Lovers Quarrel

Chika PoV

We pulled back from each other, but I could still feel our lips together. Reyna starts walking away from me while I look on from the steps of Rhea’s mansion. Suddenly a brilliant idea comes into my head, Reyna could still be with me.

“Wait don’t go just yet, maybe you could stay here and be with me,” I shouted and Reyna turned towards me and looked shocked.

“I know what you are thinking, but I can’t leave Rome. How come you just blindly agree with Rhea’s proposal?” Reyna questions with a loud voice and she just shoots a furrowed brow.   

“Didn’t you also agree with Rhea’s suggestion as well? You even admit that it was smart for me to stay here. I thought that you didn’t have a problem.” I said with my voice going louder, Is Reyna blaming me for this situation? I wanted to go with New Rome so badly, but unfortunately, I’m sharing a body with a human-hating genocidal goddess. 

“You’re right I did agree it was smart of you to stay with the Titan queen. But a part of me wanted you to be defiant and said no. I know this is just a messed up situation and there is nothing we can do about it, but I feel like we were manipulated to agree with that goddess. Part of me right now just wants to carry you to New Rome myself and say damn them all.” Reyna shouted and she walked toward me. I got close to her and our bodies were only inches away from each other.

I wanted her to take me to New Rome or wherever because now I felt this intense air around us and our bodies shaking in anticipation. I can see a bit of sweat coming down on Reyna’s forehead and even on mine.

“That’s just it, It’s always about New Rome. It’s like your whole life revolves around it?” I shouted back at her with the same intensity.

“ You’re right Chika, my life does revolve around New Rome. I never had a stable home and family, you are one of the lucky ones to have that. New Rome gives me a home and a future to look forward to, my people need me because I’m their Praetor.” I stare right back at her, it’s like she is stuck on that brainwashing. I don’t even know what to say to her, I want her to be selfish at the moment, she is sacrificing her happiness for that place. Maybe I am being selfish as well, but I didn’t care at the time. I move my forehead towards her and I just close my eyes.

“I should probably leave before we say something we will regret towards. This is goodbye for now.” I felt Reyna move her forehead away from me and just walk away to join my parents, My mother transported them away from Spiti. I felt tears coming from my eyes and I quickly wiped them away. A girl suddenly appeared next to me and it was Evangeline, my cousin's girlfriend. She’s wearing skinny jeans and a brown sweater, while her hair is worn down in blonde waves.

“So relationship trouble?” She asked in concern and I just nodded, and she just gestured to follow her. We went to a 1 story house with a mix of white and blue paint. As we got inside, we were greeted by Hyun, Isabelle, Camira, and Itri sitting on a cream-colored couch with the Super Smash Bros in the background on the Nintendo Switch. 

“So do you want to join us?” Camira asked and I just nodded yes. I picked Mario as my character and I just played the game, without thinking about the situation with Reyna.  So far I think I’m doing good at the game and I managed to knock down Camira, who was playing Link. Suddenly my character, Mario, got knocked out by Isabelle's character, Pit. I just quietly watch the other girls play the video game.

“I can tell you were pretty out of it already, something troubling you,” Camira says in a thick Irish accent as she puts her hands around my shoulder.

“It’s just relationship problems, we will have to be apart because of certain circumstances,” I say in a low, quiet tone.

“Hey it will work out eventually, you just need a break from all that drama and have fun.” Camira got out a bottle of alcohol and she gave me a small cup. I look on in uncertainty.

“Look just have 1 small cup and that’s all we’re getting. I did have to sneak it away from the adults. Maybe this will get you to relax.” Camira pulled the small cup with alcohol and she handed it to me. I look at the brown beverage and I just drink it without thinking. Suddenly my head was all over the place and I felt like puking.

“No offense Camira, but that drink is horrible and I will not drink it again.” my face went all red and my body is shaking all over the place.

“Fair enough, but hey at least you have a new experience. Anyway, wanna play truth or dare?” The other girls heard what Camira asked and they turned off the TV and eagerly sat on the floor with Camira and me.

“Oh, I love this game,” Itri says childishly  while she plays with a toy skull.

“Ok Chika, truth or dare?” Itri asks as she stares at me with her black makeup on. She wears black leggings and a black T-shirt with a crescent moon on it. She has dark brown skin and she tied her hair up with dreads.

“Truth” I answered and Itri looked mildly disappointed.

“Is it true that you do karate?” Itri asks in curiosity and every girl besides Isabelle stares at me with surprise.

“Yes, I did do Karate before I jumped into the demigod world and I’m assuming that Isabelle told you about it.” I answered truthfully.

“That’s awesome maybe you could show us some moves,” Evangeline says while the others just shoot a small smile.

“I thought cheerleader would be a good nickname, but karate girl is better.”Hyun chuckles while she just drinks more alcohol.

“Alright Hyuunn Truth or Dareeee?” I say as I feel my words slurring. The alcohol is taking effect now and I can now understand why characters always have slurred speech when they drink alcohol. Thank god I don’t have to drink it anymore. 

“Dare karate girl, I hope you come up with a good one since you are drunk,” Hyun says confidently. I have a funny dare in mind and just laughing like crazy. The other girls look on in concern.

“I darreed you Hyun to pie yourself in the face,” I say chucking and I lay down on the ground laughing.

“That's it, weak!!!!” Hyun shouted unimpressed with the dare created a pie out of nowhere and she just put the pie on her face with a bored expression. I laugh madly about it, Hyun looks funny with cream coming out of her face and tears coming out of my face. I’m having fun now, these girls are so cool.

“Oh right Ice Queen you’re turn, truth or dare?” Hyun says with a mischievous smirk as she turns to Isabelle. Isabelle, please pick truth, Hyun will make you do something so humiliating. 

“I picked dare, I’m not scared of you,” Isabelle says confidently. No Isabelle why you picked that? Hyun just laughed evilly.

“Alright princess, I dared you to dress like a little girl and wear diapers along with it for the whole night.” Hyun. Isabelle's face went all white and she looked on nervously.

“I hate you, I will get payback for this,” Isabelle says coldly and Hyun just sticks her tongue.

“Don’t worry my queen, I will avenge you,” Camira shouted as Hyun changed Isabelle's clothes to a snow white inspire costume that reached Isabelle's midthigh with a yellow bottom and a blue top with a yellow line and a puffy sleeve. The diaper appears underneath the skirt and fits snuggly around Isabelle's waist and a red bow attaches to Isabelle’s hair.

“You looked adorable” Hyun laughs like crazy and everybody else tries not to laugh.

“It’s whatever guys, you can laugh. It’s just a game and I didn’t have to flirt with an adult. But please don’t take a picture of this.” Isabelle looks shyly towards the other girls and Hyun looks on sheepishly.

“Hey Isabelle thanks for taking this lightly, trust me I’m not going to take pictures. I will do an extra dare for you.” Hyun says earnestly while Isabelle looks on to Hyun with no expression on her face. I was about to say something but suddenly I felt my stomach growling and I covered my stomach. My stomach is a bubbling volcano ready to erupt at this point and suddenly I start throwing up on the floor. The other girls looked in concern and I felt my body light. My eyes were suddenly about to close and my body just went down, but I felt somebody carrying and I’m losing consciousness.”

At  Night (3 Hours Ago)

Suddenly I woke in a bed with my mother, the goddess Demeter, holding a cup with what looked like milk. My mother is in her green pajama pants with a dark green t-shirt, and her hair is worn down. I suddenly took the cup away from my mother and drank the warm milk. I feel so much better and the head is all clear and relaxed. 

“So it was your first time drinking, you probably shouldn't do that again.” Mother warmly smiles and I just sobbed close to her chest. I let out all the pent-up emotions and just cried on my mother's chest and she just held me closely. I felt so safe in her embrace.

“What has been troubling you, my child?’ Mother asked in a soothing voice and she stroked my short hair.

“I just go-t in-to a f-i---gh--t with R--ey--na and I’m worr---ied if s--he ha--tes me?”  I sobbed between the words while my mother just gently stroked my shoulders.

“Relationships will always have arguments and conflicts, what’s important is that you girls won’t give up on each other during said times. You girls were probably very stressed out with this situation, and just needed a small break from each other. I’m sorry that my grandmother put you girls in this spot.” Mother says apologetically.

“I hope you are right Mother, I hope it’s just us being stressed about this. Hey Mother, do you mind staying with me for the night?” I asked and she did a tender smile and kissed my forehead.

“Anything for you my love” Mother says in a soft voice and I just dozed off in the night.

after the recieving feedback for my work with the lego figure and stamps i decided to recreate or rather create a new work using the same elements ? or even new ones ? i kind of just felt that if i used the lego figure it should be enough especially after the most recent experiment with the stamps and lego figure combined

i opted to use this new background that i made for another work earlier this semester

i thought about how i could merge this with the lego figure to create a new work, i found the process again enjoyable and informing

i again didn't bother to glue or secure the rice grains when applying the spray-paint, i still followed along the process of the first one where i let the rice move around and interact with the canvas as like their own being, using their own movement from reacting with the can, it kinda reminds me of like a field of crops

with this work i actually didn't make like a mock up in photoshop, i just cut out the stencil and placed it on the canvas, this is a first i kinda of just trusted my judgement but also i felt that the stencil was so large that it didn't really matter as to where it should be placed i think

i am happy with the outcome of the rice stencil

looking at it in person is making me think of clouds, like the gradient change throughout the stencil, where some areas are lighter than the other its kind of like a blob of ink on white paper spreading

yeah i would say it is very strong in evoking a sense of being in the clouds

the rice sort of guides your eyes like your looking at a map of these rivers and streams flowing

i actually tried this new way of applying the stencil, itried sticky taping it down, i was worried that it would not come off the paper and in turn ruin the work

the stencil was also not paper, well it is paper just a thicker one

i also made like a make shift box with two pieces of cardboard to map of the two edges that were directly in line with the background

i did debate what colours to use but i thought i would keep it plain and simple in case i added more which i am sure i will to what that might look like, i am not aware yet

i am pleased with the finished result, i do still feel like it is incomplete though, i have debated spray painting on bits of the figure like an arm or a leg/legs however it is not achieving the look that i would like for this work

i have thought about other potential figures like a cartoon bird or even snoopy but i don't know what i want to achieve with this work so i am stuck as to how i should progress this work

in saying that, the process of creating was still fun and enjoyable, it is getting tiring cutting out the stencils as they take a while, especially since i try to manage how much i actually take away, as well as managing enough paper is left between two cuts to ensure that the legibility of this line cane be seen and contrasted well against the background

i just thought that because i'm using this detailed backgrounds it might be stopping me or potentially halting my process of creating because of adding too much to the canvas which could result in a composition that feels cramped, which is something i don't want to achieve

i don't know if i can express or rather state a theme or context for this work because i am unsure myself, i don't know, i do feel like the background though is like this zen rice field, that looks like clouds, kinda of like howl's moving castle like that type of sky

i have debated just going all out with stencils in this work and have a mixture of mediums however i am unsure still and have decided to leave this work for the time being and come back to it later on

i trialled out using the arms of the lego figure to try and create like bones lying around the floor or something

i was going to try and implement this into the work however i felt that it wouldn't go or maybe its a scaling issue however in saying that i will get back to the work later on

week 13

working on the dog model.

After watching a couple of "speed paint" like vidoes i saw that they were using the sulpt tool to form thier model more instead of moving every single verticy by hand.

examples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlqiICzACA0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cfrj8-MJ8LA i just had these playing in the background as refrence, why these? these werent the only ones but these proved to be most usefull interms of tools they were using or atleast things i could try. one of these also uses the subdivide modifier, itried it but i found it actually got rid of some of the detail so i ended up not using it but good to know its there. also i have to use the mirrior moddifier if i want the sculpt to be symetrical there is no other way to symetrize, i shoudl have known thsi as i used it when retoplologizing the creature but regardless the videos reminded me that thast how you do that.

It was a little hard to see what i was moving so i looked for a way to make it easier to see and turning on the wireframe using this video really helped https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVr9x3qcLJQ

had trouble with the origin point of my dogs mesh. the eyes were off set for somereason as i coulnt properly apply the mirrior modifier. i thought the eyes were off but the bodies mesh was actually off center. had to look for the tutorial for how to reset my cursor and origin point and then realized i had to also apply the transformations i might have done in object mode on accident but i didnt rember how to do that because i hadnt really done that and a colleage explained it to me over half a year ago. Just looking up "apply transformations blender" gave me my answer, in object mode "ctrl+a" and click apply all tranformations.

The attachment is unfortunately a sound byte. The file name says 'itried'.mp3. At first, it's just the sound of a small birds chirping; there was abundant nature in the background. But then it came.

A little croaky, but definitely a voice trying to sound cute. Valentine's unedited voice. Since she never needed to speak, she never had to practice an accent outside of the Johto language she learned as a child, so of course she couldn't pronounce the 'L' in his name. She even had to cut it into a short nickname, most likely to help her get it out at all.

Of course, Val couldn't see it, but when he heard what that file actually was, after a fair bit of fiddling with his PDA, he almost sobbed. He understood what she was saying, even with the accent. What are your muses?

ah!! hi!!! so glad you asked :) i've got a few i'm excited to use! i am intending to make more detailed pages for them soon, though!

the muses that are currently most developed would be itri, ezra, cedar, void, sirel, george, nile, and oliver! i have a few more in my back pocket, but that's already a lot for one post, so basic info below the cut!!

oh, also! anything noted about the base universe can be shifted in a roleplay. there are very few things i'm not willing to move around.

itri!

itri is nonbinary and queer (preference for girls but interest in anyone) and uses it/its pronouns! it's a vampire in its base universe.

it's a bit of an erratic person and its mood changes very quickly, but overall it's friendly. it doesn't have a great sense of morals, and rps involving itri will likely include high levels of blood/gore depending on my partner's boundaries.

it's short and chubby, and typically dresses in lighter, more feminine clothes in pastel colors :) in its base universe, it is amab! it's relatively pale.

ezra!

ezra is a bisexual trans man and uses he/him! he's a werewolf in his base universe.

he's generally fairly quiet, and he's often very tired! can end up being a little grumpy, and he's definitely very overprotective. he tries to keep to the background, however, and doesn't have very many friends, although he's incredibly fond of his little brother :)

he's about average height for an afab person and dresses in drab clothing that covers his skin. he's sort of tan :)

cedar!

cedar is a queer cis man who uses he/him! he has no preference for gender of his partners :) in his base universe, he is a ghost!

cedar is very shy and has an awful memory, that, combined with his unusual sleeping habits, typically makes him an inconsistent person. he's quite kind when he gets to know someone, but he's generally a bit of a coward :)

he's tall and thin, with long dark hair and green eyes. he has dark brown skin!

void!

void is a straight asexual cis man who uses he/him! he is a human who has magic :)

he's generally cruel and prefers to have control of a situation. he has issues regarding control in general and panics easily when he can't keep it. he isn't particularly loyal and rarely regards himself as close to a person. his magic is quite important to his character in his base universe!

he's tall and pale, well-muscled with short dark hair and entirely black eyes :)

sirel!

sirel is a lesbian who uses she/her, although her species has no understanding of gender! she's a siren in her base universe!

she's. in short. a dick! she's very selfish and prefers to keep to herself, although she has a few close friends who make it into the small circle of people she's willing to acknowledge as being on her level.

appearance entirely depends on the universe, as she typically has an almost entirely inhuman appearance, but she consistently has long dark hair and long nails.

george!

george is a pansexual trans man who uses he/him! he is a cat hybrid in his base universe.

he's very soft, and generally very kind. he enjoys being around people who will treat him rougher, and he likes a good fight, but he also enjoys being alone. he sleeps a lot, both because of his hybrid status and because he's consistently exhausted.

he's pale, with fluffy brown hair. he's about average height and thin :)

nile!

nile is an agender person who doesn't know anything about their romantic or sexual preferences :) they use they/them. in their base universe, they are able to see monsters no one else can.

they're definitely very eccentric and have very few friends. they prefer to be on their own, especially in their base universe, and they frequently have conversations with themselves. they enjoy scaring others and have come to like it when others find them strange or appalling.

they're albino! they are short and thin and have unusually wide eyes.

oliver!

oliver is a queer man who uses he/him! he's a fallen angel in his base universe.

he's an angry person, aggressive and outright unfriendly to most people. he has two close friends who he's considerably kinder to. he gets incredibly nervous when people are gentle with him, and he'll typically be meaner to those who try to be nice.

he has long golden hair and very light brown eyes. he's tan and tall.

you read and write fantasy, and also are very talented, so i'm coming to you with a question (which you are in no way obligated to answer!): how do you write exposition without it feeling clunky and forced? so like, if you have one character telling another, "this is our world, this is how it works, this is the magic system, etc" - how do you play that without it coming off as the author speaking through the character? idk if that makes sense, but it's something i've been struggling with lately

when it takes me this long to answer an ask I always kind of wonder if the person who asked it is even around anymore. or remembers they sent me the ask. oh well! maybe someone else will find my thoughts interesting and/or helpful!

though I will say that worldbuilding is...not my strength, orz. too bad my chosen genre is very worldbuilding-y. 

the thing I think is - actually something that @onetrueharem described to me at one point, which she called the flashlight approach, I believe. namely: think about your world as though it is a dark room. as you’re moving around in your story, the flashlight is going to illuminate different things at different times. different things will become important - and address those only as they come up. 

basically, don’t exposit more than you have to. if you don’t need to explain something, then don’t. you don’t need to put all your worldbuilding on the page; your reader will be able, most likely, to figure out more than you think they will (particularly fantasy-literate readers; I can expand on that idea if you like). personally I am of the school of thought that says if your world is there and you’ve built it into things, you don’t need to make all of it explicit. the important things will come up in text and the less important ones will be there in the background, filling out your setting and providing a sense of depth and world beyond what is on the page.

for example: say that your world has a public transit system run by magic. a character who lives in that world likely isn’t going to think about how that magic works, the same way most people don’t think about how a combustion engine works when they drive. 

now, if someone is, for instance, going to magic school, where the magic exists but they are not previously familiar with it, think about what they would take for granted, what would be assumptions they’d make based on the rules they do know, and then what would be really new. the same way that when you start algebra, you know how numbers and arithmetic work, but then there’s new things you have to learn. 

(this is assuming everyone in your story comes from the same world. if you’re writing portal fantasy or similar, it requires a different approach and I think one of the best ways to do that is to have your other characters assume the stranger/outsider knows more than they do, and react as though it should be obvious when they’re like “what.” and then sort of struggling to explain, particularly with things that are very inherent to the world - the way that it can be very hard to explain something that you take very for granted. like, imagine trying to explain how a computer works to someone who has never seen one, as a layperson not very familiar with them.)

I hope any of this is helpful. it all feels vaguely incoherent to me, but #itried. some of this is very situational.

art progress: january-july 2020

January: blurry image of rose from steven universe. this was from a prompt in a server i was in and i had a lot of fun trying to get across ‘rose’ without an outline

February: kipo from kipo and the age of wonderbeasts. not my best drawing though i was proud of it at first. i had a lot of fun drawing the background. this was my first drawing for kipo and #itried. 

March: hanzo as a child from overwatch. i still really like this, though i wish i’d put more effort into the background

April: ihd!bakugou and all might. a screen redraw featuring the bakugou and all might from a roleplay au server i’m in. they both need hugs. 

May: lauia and luka from the atalia saga, one of my original wip. lauia is the one in pink and is bi and luka is in blue and is nonbinary, ace, and pan

June: tama from the atalia saga. i never finished this but it was nice to get back into a more realistic art style. i started to transition away from a hyper-cartoon style in the summer of 2020

July #1: kamon, a pjo oc of mine. i really like how their design turned out here 

July #2: a random drawing i did based off a photo i saw. never finished it but i really like how it turned out 

July #3: esche, a pjo oc of mine. she was the second i drew out of a series of pjo ocs i drew this summer and the first new one. 

i drew a lot during june and july of 2020 and had access to photoshop through my university thanks to the pandemic. i focused a lot on drawing people and i think i have a somewhat better grasp on anatomy because of it.

The Gift: The Series

I was so happy as I raced out of my neighbors home with the possession spell and my next door neighbor looked out of the window as I jumped over the gate. I hid in the bushes as Itried to pull out the papers from my pocket and I quietly whispered the spell as I faded into the background. I stood up as I walked over to my neighbor as he leaves his home and I sneak behind him as I touch his ears.

I jump into his body as I walk into my house making a few calls and within a weeks of my neighbors body. I sold all of my stuff as I put my house up for rent to which I made him rent it from me. I made it so he would be expanding my house into his and give it to me freely as he will pay me rent monthly. I now quickly have to jump out of his body as I head to the airport near me.

I was not even thinking as I purchase my ticket swiftly as I head to the brand new airport with all my energy. Five hours later I landed in LAX airport as sped to get my bags and I saw him from across the hallway. It was Henry Cavill I say to myself as I jump out of my neighbors body. I rush forward as I push my hand all the way through his body and he jump in shock as he froze.

I go crazy plunging in head first as I jump into his massive body as I begin to explode inside and I fill up every inch of his hunk body. I stop as TMZ camera men follow me in my brand new body. I walk back picking up my otherbag heading to the limo and I rushed off as I fully accepted the body of my dreams. I amso in love with the possibilities now as my body glowed under my clothes.

We stop off at a odd house as the driver takes my bags in and leads me to the back room of the house. He hands me the keys along with a letter that had strange letter on the envelope that came with it. I sit down as the driver now acting as the care taker closes both of the doors behind him as he exits. I stand up as I walk around the room checking out the spots of the hotel.

“Dear New Owner Of This House,

I leave you the deed to this house as you have

found the ultimate possession spell and have the body of your dreams. This house is yours to enjoy for all eternity an will allow you to get the lover of your dreams. Think of this as the movie Death Becomes Her but with a good ending.

I rolled my eyes as I left the room in search of a mirror bumped into one in a huge room on the top floor. The master bedroom I thought to myself walking in and I claimed the room as all my stuff were here. I pulled down the pillow case from the mirror as I looked at my new sexy form. I had to give up my status as a person of color but I could lead crackers to a better light.

I look down as the limo driver leads me to the main office and inside I saw a strange empty husk. I walk toward him as I touch its shoulder as it came to life and it telepathically told me it’s only purpose. I smiled as I told it to seek out my one true love and bring him back to me. The house suddenly changed as it was now expanding into a massive mansion for me. I walk downstairs as I make dinner for myself.

I heard the front door open up as he walked into my house smiling at me and I stood up in shock as it was Chris Evans my biggest crush.He kissed me softly as our bodies meld all the way and we become the ultimate lovers in the world.
