xiao zhan’s mfw interview clues, talismans and matching ads. 🎤
based from the ones released today: v magazine, tencent fashion, tod’s and mr. bags. nothing too big, just some connection/s to already established cpns. feel free to appreciate and enjoy the interviews for what they are even without clowning. 🫶🏼
* V Magazine China
when he talked about superpowers, he has changed his answer from being invisible, he just wishes that there will be no disputes in the world. tho the topic is really about what he wants a parallel world to be like. interesting answer. i’m gonna wait for wyb to have an interview with a similar question and see if they will match 😂😂😂
he also answered that his style is more casual and comfortable which is exactly the same as wyb answered a similar question. not that we ever doubted how similar their personal style is. they may choose or prefer different pieces, but it has the same feel. this is who they steal each other clothes and blend in when they want to.
how he answered the question what he learned about style is to subtract. which may mean less is more or something like that. it matches what wyb said he learned about a different thing — acting. so i see this as a similarity between them, they don’t do overdo things.
🎤: If you had two hours of free time, where would you like to spend it?
🐰: Just strolling around. A city-walk.
I hope he does this with WYB! We was this happen in a lot of ZZ’s vlogs.
🎤: What is the most surprising thing from Gucci 2024 Autumn/Winter Women’s Wear show?
🐰: I think the biggest surprise is the bag. I like it very much, the shape of the bag is very avant-grade and bold.
His interest in bags is here again 👀 In his 2019 interview for MFW, he was asked about what his favorite accessory and he answered bag. The CPN happened because WYB was asked in an interview of his promotion of a jewelry brand (Emphasis ) about what jewelry he will give to his loved one. he answered a bag. lol. the question is about a jewelry but he still answered something different. who is he thinking about? a certain someone who loves bags?
🎤: Do you have any unforgettable anecdotes during the Chinese New Year that you can share with everyone?
🐰: There seems to be no Chinese New Year because I spent the Chinese New Year with the crew.
A confirmation what we already know, that he spent CNY in HD. the thing we won’t ever know tho is if WYB was there. Tho some clues point to the answer being yes.
* Tencent Fashion interview
Not much here but he just repeated how he loves bags. Lol. && how his priority is to film. I imagine the same is true for WYB.
* Tod’s interview
I didn’t share the translation for that. sorry! here it is in all it’s glory. not much cpn tho because the questions are centered on his clothes and the show.
🎤: After watching the first show of Tod's new creative director Matteo, can you share with us your first impressions?
🐰: Excited! and then when I was watching the show, I have been taking pictures all the time. Because there are many coats which I like it very much, including the bags, and I think it’s a brand-new attempt. You can see the second show, which is very unique especially it is placed at the tram stop in Milan — I heard that this tram stop is still in active service, can still be used.
🎤: What are the highlights of today’s outfit? Can you introduce it to us?
🐰: Today’s outfit is a more elegant and low-key style. It is a design of the collar on this coat, in fact you can see that it is actually a leather material, this collar can stand up, then you can put it on here and put it on in another way. Then, include this pair of shoe which is also my favorite loafer and this belt, it is also has a very unique design, it has a hemp material and then combine it with leather.
🎤: If you were asked to recommend one of the most “Italian” items you saw on the show today, which one would you recommend?
🐰: Ah~ it’s so difficult! I think there is a lot of it — I think it’s leather, I think everything about leather, the coat including leather on it’s shoes and trousers.
🎤: What are the three must- have travel stuffs during fashion week?
🐰: phone, passport, also…also the (important) card.
🎤: In a series of film and television works, how do you think different costumes help shape the character’s image?
🐰: It does help yourself to get into the role better.
🎤: You have been to Milan Fashion Week many times. Compared with the first time, what changes do you feel this time?
🐰: This time I felt more relaxed and also more cordial. There is a feeling of going home, especially there is DDV Yeye ( Tod’s CEO ) just now, he always tell me how he always welcomed me back says “Welcome back!” I felt woah! that moment was very warm. Then, of course there is conscious lifestyles of Tods that can’t live without.
🎤: Not long ago, you sang “As You Wish” at the Beijing TV Spring Festival Gala. What kind of New Year wishes do you have for everyone?
🐰: (smooth and healthy) for everyone
* Interview with Mr. Bags
this is year 3 of his interview with him! it’s one i’m waiting for cause xz is comfortable with & i feel like he can get away with asking more personal questions.
🎤: Yes, then I saw your personal clothes later I did serious study and research of it on internet. I think our Xiao laoshi really have a personal style, is very good at dressing and I just found out that — for example you will wear some hats, then the scarf and then you will also wear some of these big coats?
XZ: That’s right.
🎤: It looks warm, it has a sense of youth.
XZ: In fact, I felt it safer and then it’s more comfortable because I’m actually myself, in terms of personal clothing I prefer not too many colors, It is mainly; gray, black series and white colors. Those that are comfortable to wear and can’t go wrong and also most effective.
same thing about his personal style and what colors he chooses which is very close to wyb’s.
🎤: I also heard that Xiao Zhan is actually a very homely person. If it weren’t for work then you would just stay at home so I wonder what you usually do when you are at home?
XZ: Actually, I can also play games, sometimes I will have fun, but for most of time I spend my time working out.
this matches some recent fake rumors. 😭😭😭 especially with the part about how xz prefers to stay-in. and then how he likes to play games! who does he play games with??? WYB. there are already a couple of fake rumors and interviews of them talking about the two playing! it’s so nice to hear it from xz.
THE ALLEGED TALISMAN. 💛
p1 is GG recently, from his flight back home and p2 is a not so clear photo of WYB’s phone during HB screening where you can see what looks like a yellow paper. I have no question that GG does this, we have seen it before. but i like the idea of WYB doing something similar, maybe GG even drawing one for him. and this may be the reason why they chose this type of card case.
Finally, the matching ads by Shu Uemura and Loreal. Two different brands and products but I can’t help but see the similarity with the ads 🥹🥹🥹

JAW Fashion Trivia vol. I - Saint Laurent
Jeremy's starring in the video which is a part of promo/campaign for the new book in the SL Editions series "ZOË, PHOTOGRAPHED BY PURIENNE". As noted in the oficial summary, the book includes photographs of Jeremy too.
The book is expensive, as "coffee table books" usually are, because they're meant to be a valuable, collectible piece for the fans of the brand, the photographer, or the celebrity (they are thick, heavy, and printed on beautiful paper). On the other hand, it's an affordable piece, let's say like a perfume, when you can't really buy a Saint Laurent leather jacket or boots, you go for a "souvenir." As we know, all designer merch has been incredibly popular in the past years, and books are part of this phenomenon too.
Saint Laurent or YSL or what? Know that Yves Saint Laurent has lost the "Yves" with the arrival of the new creative director - Hedi Slimane - who is famous for altering something small but essential about the brand he's currently working for. And he said - Saint Laurent it is. Previously, he had crossed out the "é" from CÉLINE, and it has remained CELINE even after his departure. YSL is used for Yves Saint Laurent luxury cosmetics at the moment - YSL Beauty, and it's owned by L'Oreal. Cosmetics, as well as some other, cheaper accessories, are usually licensed by the big brands to make even more profit. A good example is sunglasses and optical glasses (CELINE, Prada, Miu Miu, Dolce & Gabbana, etc.) licenses are held by Italian Essilor.
Can we expect more Jeremy in Saint Laurent? We know that Jeremy owns THAT Saint Laurent leather jacket and who knows what else. He wore custom suits to a couple of award shows. His appearance in the campaign means that he doesn't have an exclusive contract with Calvin Klein, which usually happens with big brands, or that it lasted only for a certain period. So we might see Jeremy in another campaign! Due to his height, the clothes will have to be altered to fit him. It's also tough to shoot a campaign with other models because you can see how short he is (not sure how well they faked it in the GQ cover story...) compared to them. French brands, in general, don't like using celebrities who don't have model sample sizes for campaigns. But the more famous the celebrity is, the more they're willing to budge, I suppose!!
(note: I have absolutely no problem with Jeremy's height, these are just simple facts from the industry)

ROME (AP) — A popular Italian influencer has been placed under investigation by prosecutors looking into the purportedly charitable sales of traditional Christmas cakes sold with her logo.
Chiara Ferragni, who has 29.5 million followers on Instagram, was already fined 1 million euros by Italy’s anti-trust authority last month. The agency said her company led consumers to believe that sales of the branded Balocco pandoro cakes would result in a charitable contribution to a Turin hospital.
Italian news agency LaPresse reported Monday that Milan prosecutor Eugenio Fusco had placed Ferragni and the head of the cake company, Alessandra Balocco, under investigation for aggravated fraud. Ferragni's publicist confirmed the news.
The development followed weeks of polemics over the “pandoro-gate” scandal and questions about the relationship between influencers and the products they are paid to promote, especially when claims of charitable donations are involved.
In a statement Monday, following word that she was now officially under investigation, Ferragni said she was calm and trusted in the work of the judiciary.
“I am calm because I have always acted in good faith and I am certain that this will emerge from the ongoing investigation,” the statement said. “I have full confidence in the work of the judiciary and with my lawyers. I immediately made myself available to cooperate and clarify every detail of what happened as soon as possible.”
Ferragni started as a fashion blogger and went on to sell clothing, accessories and makeup under her own brand in addition to doing promotional work as an influencer. She is also on the Tod’s luxury fashion group board of directors.
In an Instagram video post last month, after the agency fine, Ferragni said that she had not given sufficient oversight to the communications surrounding the sales of the Balocco-brand pandoro with her logo, and that she would no longer link charitable work with commercial activities.
Ferragni apologized and said she would donate 1 million euros to the Regina Margherita Hospital in Turin to give “concreteness” to her apology, but she said she would challenge the fine itself.
Italy’s anti-trust agency also fined Balocco 420,000 euros for giving consumers the impression that part of the earnings from sales of the cakes would benefit the Turin hospital. In reality, the agency said, Balocco had donated 50,000 euros before the campaign launched in November 2022 and made no additional donations.
The agency noted that the Ferragni-branded “Pandoro Pink Christmas” cakes sold for more than 9 euros apiece, compared with the usual 3.70-euro price tag.
There was no immediate response late Monday to emails and calls to Cuneo, Italy-based Balocco.

It's kind of selfish too. I just like it. I'm always looking for the new new shit."
Erykah has also collaborated with Italian fashion house Marni on a capsule collection which was sold in select Marni boutiques.
"Everything is vibration and sound, from the sound of the birds that I've heard since I was a child...(to) the clothes I wear - the clothes in my Marni line all have bells on them," the Dallas native said. "So, if I associate everything with music, it's very easy for me to create...there's a variety of things I listen to throughout the day, from wind chimes in the morning to Brent Faiyaz in the afternoon to Bach - I mean, there's just so many different things. I just love music and frequency. It is my therapy."
Badu describes the Marni collection as something of an audiovisual experience, what she calls "mystical instrumental wear."
A champion for Black women and free thought, she's not only in an era of reinvention, but expansion. She's entered the cannabis industry partnering with Cookies, arguably the world's most recognizable legal marijuana brand. She's worked with Cookies co-founder Berner to create a weed strain called That Badu, also working on a mushroom tea line.
Although it's been years since Badu put out an album, she has recently gone on tour, called The Unfollow Me tour. In an interview with Vibe, she revealed the inspiration for the name of the tour - cancel culture. "Whenever someone says something in the comments, they don't agree, I don't care, unfollow me, doesn't matter," she told the magazine.
"One thing I brag about all the time is that my sister is probably the only artist I know who easily sells out arenas despite not having put out an album in almost a decade," says sibling Koryan, or Koko for short. Koko once sang backup for Badu's band, but these days acts as her sister's right hand. With a trucker hat pulled over striking waist-length platinum blonde braids, Koko carries herself like a woman who means business. Badu's turning point, she explains, came when the pandemic brought touring to a halt.
The pivot was swift and effective: the launch of Badubotron, a streaming platform hosting concerts from Badu's home that could be viewed for the nominal fee of $1. These attracted more than a hundred thousand fans enamored of Badu's elaborate costumes, wild performances, and otherworldly DIY sets. In one of her shows, Badu and her band appeared to perform inside huge inflatable bubbles. The singer's popular online merch store, Badu World Market, also went live. "We just kind of came together as a family and it was like, Oh, we actually have a company right here," says Koko, whose son, Malcolm, and daughter, Diamond, also work for brand Badu. "Everyone stepped up."
The latest family member to join the team is Badu's daughter Puma. Listening to her cover her mother's songs on TikTok, you can barely tell their voices apart. She and boyfriend Sean have been serving as Badu's personal assistants for a little over a year, which means, among other things, ensuring Badu has the 15 to 20 trunks of clothing and accessories she needs on tour. "I don't know how other family workplace dynamics go," Puma says, "but it's like a real job, and I have to buckle down and do what I need to do or else word is going to get to the CEO and I'm not going to get paid. You know what I mean?"
Inside Badu's home, it's a veritable Aladdin's cave of tchotchkes and objets d'art, with Buddha statues lining the staircase, African masks hanging on the walls, and Indian marigold garlands strung in the windows. Badu, in a silk Libertine caftan printed with pictures of monkeys in space suits, leads her guests past her recording studio to the living area, where two larger-than-life Malian brass busts have glowing sticks of incense sprouting from their heads. The fireplaces casts shadows on vintage furniture, including a throne-like peacock love seat and a retro-futurist egg pod chair. In the corner, an upright piano is buttressed by a stack of vintage Louis Vuitton trunks.

🧵 again I agree with basically everything needle said about the Dior FW 23 collection, especially with how it jumped between high fashion and an almost working class aesthetic. That's why I called it originally an extremely Balmoral show, not only did it have a ton of highlands influences, it also felt like the ultra-wealthy play-acting at working class.
I prefer my high fashion to know what it is and where it stands.
Needle's comment about how commercialized fashion is nowadays feels like my perfect segue.
The creation of the luxury conglomerates has destroyed the high houses. I said it. LVMH is the one that seems to be talked about most in BTS adjacent spaces, but I guess this is mostly because of the LV brand deal (AND LV IS NOT THE SAME AS LVMH GOD IF I SEE ONE MORE TAKE THATS LIKE OH ITS OK HES AT CELINE THATS STILL A LVMH BRAND IM GOING TO SCREAM- ahem.)
But LVMH is not the only conglomerate. Kering is another big one. But this drive to have the houses as corporations with stocks and returns and eternal growth mean a significant stagnation in their actual creative direction. They want to sell what /sells/. You (BMT) touched on this in one of the posts, but I think it should be made clear that brands like Dior, despite being an old House with extremely revered bones, makes the vast majority of its money on things like makeup and small accessories. The marketing that they do using Idols or literally anyone is to entice people to buy the small luxury products, instead of the big ones. A $3k bag is a big ask for most people, a $50 lipstick feels like an easier pill to swallow. I can't believe how many people I've seen buying Dior after Jimin's brand announcement, explicitly for him.
But do I think that means that fashion is stagnant? This is such an interesting question to me because fashion is literally just the things that people put on their backs. I can talk forever about the high French houses or whatever, but the reality is that the world has changed. Fashion as both an art and a means of self-expression has never, EVER, been so accessible.
What I think actually happened is that the big houses (mostly these are euro houses, especially French, some Italian, a handful of British and American) have become over-commercialized. The immediate drive towards streetwear in 2015-2020 also didn't help (see: especially the absolute horror that has become the Balenciaga name). I also see a lot of weird takes about Couture as a concept, as if clothing can't be art for the sake of being art if I see one more twitter post about "I would never wear that" over some person walking a runway in a guo pei dress that weighs a thousand pounds, I'm gonna lose it.
But I also think that today, in early 2023, there are so many people designing and making clothes and putting their art out into the world. PFW just isn't the place to see that, mostly. I think if any of your readers are interested in fashion beyond the traditional houses, it's always good to check out the other major city's fashion weeks. And if PFW is what interests them- look at the brands that are maybe unfamiliar. That is where the art still lives, sorta.
I had no idea about Dior and making money mostly from small luxury goods. That's new to me. Given how it's in the lower price range, I saw it more as an entry which then leads the consumer (one who is just starting to get accustomed) to buying other, more expensive stuff. There's definitely a focus on that on social media and now with Jimin's Dior deal, a day doesn't go by in which I don't see clips on tiktok with Dior hauls and Jimin photo cards.
I actually thought about the hyper focus on streetwear for the previous ask about commercialization. I remember the time when it wasn't that big or at least it was somehow separate. Now it's sort of like a blend and trully the only thing that reaches out to the big internet audience with their IG accounts and how easy it is for anyone to curate their own fashion self. I also have issues with the sort of comments about Couture because they are unnecessary if one would have the courtesy to actually understand what it means. No one expects it to be street style and yet, they use that as a filter.
I think that, especially in this fandom space in the last few weeks and days, the interest and curiosity spiked, for better or worse. So, in the context of that, your advice is most welcome for anyone who wants to explore more.

Trendy Designs: European parents are interested in trendy yet comfortable designs. Working with suppliers that offer seasonal and classic designs helps keep your collection appealing year-round.
Sustainability: Sustainable kidswear has seen a major boost in demand. Consider suppliers offering eco-friendly materials, such as organic cotton or bamboo fabrics, to appeal to conscious consumers.
Pricing and MOQ: When ordering wholesale kidswear, consider pricing and minimum order quantity (MOQ). Some suppliers may require higher MOQs, while others allow smaller orders, which may be ideal for smaller retailers or new businesses.
Some European countries have gained a reputation as leading suppliers of wholesale kidswear Europe, including Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands. Italian kidswear is known for its elegant style, while Spanish brands often focus on playful, colorful designs. The Netherlands is renowned for sustainable fashion, catering to a growing market of eco-conscious consumers.

How to Find Reliable Wholesale Suppliers
Finding reliable wholesale suppliers for kidswear and general clothing in Europe can seem overwhelming, but several strategies can help. Attending European fashion trade shows like Bread & Butter in Berlin or Modefabriek in Amsterdam can offer valuable insights and allow you to meet suppliers in person. Additionally, platforms like B2B marketplaces connect you with verified suppliers, often with reviews to help gauge reliability.
To assess a supplier’s quality, always request samples before placing large orders. This allows you to inspect the fabric, stitching, and overall quality to ensure it meets your standards. Some suppliers may also offer customization options, letting you add brand-specific tags or designs to make the clothing uniquely yours.
Why Choose Wholesale Kidswear and Clothing in Europe?

In today’s globalized world, businesses are constantly seeking ways to offer unique, high-quality products that can set them apart from the competition. Italian products are highly sought after for their quality, craftsmanship, and authenticity. Whether you're running a restaurant, a gourmet store, or a boutique, importing Italian products can elevate your offerings and attract more customers. To ensure a smooth and efficient process, working with a trusted importador productos italianos (Italian product importer) or importadora de productos italianos (Italian products importer) can make all the difference. In this article, we will explore how Italian product importers provide efficient solutions for local businesses.
1. Why Choose Italian Products for Your Business?
Italian products are renowned worldwide for their exceptional quality and distinctive designs. Whether it’s food, fashion, or luxury goods, Italy’s reputation for creating high-quality items is unmatched. From gourmet food and beverages to stylish clothing and accessories, importing Italian products offers numerous advantages for local businesses.
Quality: Italian products are often associated with excellence and attention to detail, which makes them highly desirable to customers.
Exclusivity: By offering Italian products, you can attract customers who are looking for something unique and different from what they can find locally.
Brand Prestige: Italian brands, especially in fashion, food, and wine, have a reputation that adds prestige to your business, whether you're running a restaurant, retail store, or online shop.
2. The Role of an Importador Productos Italianos
When importing Italian products, one of the most important steps is choosing the right importador productos italianos. These importers specialize in sourcing, managing logistics, and ensuring that the products meet local regulations and market demands. A good Italian product importer will streamline the process, saving you time and money while providing access to top-tier products.
Benefits of Working with an Importador Productos Italianos:
Expertise and Knowledge: An experienced importador productos italianos will have deep knowledge of Italian products, manufacturers, and market trends. They can advise you on which products will be most suitable for your business based on local preferences and demand.
Product Sourcing: An importer has access to a wide range of Italian products, from well-known brands to unique, artisanal items. This gives you more choices and flexibility when selecting products for your business.
Quality Control: Reputable importers ensure that all products meet high standards. They check the authenticity, quality, and safety of the goods before they are shipped, ensuring you receive the best Italian products.
3. Streamlined Logistics and Shipping Solutions
Importing products from Italy involves a range of logistics tasks, including shipping, customs clearance, and inventory management. Working with an importadora de productos italianos provides you with a hassle-free experience, as they handle all of these aspects for you.
How Italian Product Importers Simplify Logistics:
Efficient Shipping: Importadora de productos italianos handle shipping from Italy to your location, choosing the best and most cost-effective shipping methods. Whether by sea, air, or land, they ensure your products arrive safely and on time.
Customs and Regulations: Importing products requires navigating customs regulations and paying duties or taxes. An experienced importer is familiar with local regulations and ensures that all paperwork is completed correctly, avoiding delays and fines.
Inventory Management: A good importer will often provide inventory management services, ensuring you always have the right amount of stock available for your business. They can help forecast demand and adjust orders accordingly.
4. Reducing Costs and Risks
One of the challenges of importing products is managing the costs and risks associated with international trade. A reliable importador productos italianos can help mitigate these issues by providing more cost-effective solutions and reducing the risk of errors in the import process.
Cost-saving Advantages of Using an Importador Productos Italianos:
Bulk Purchasing: Importers can often source products in bulk at lower prices, passing the savings on to you. This is especially useful for businesses that need to buy large quantities of products.
Reduced Risk: By working with a professional importer, you reduce the risk of receiving substandard or counterfeit products. Importers have established relationships with trusted Italian suppliers and can ensure that all products are authentic and meet your quality standards.
Minimized Shipping Costs: Importers typically have established partnerships with logistics providers, enabling them to negotiate lower shipping rates. They may also offer better shipping options, reducing the overall cost of transportation.
5. Compliance with Local Regulations
Every country has its own rules and regulations for importing goods, especially food, beverages, and pharmaceuticals. Italian products, like wines, olive oils, cheeses, and cured meats, are often subject to specific health and safety standards. Working with an importadora de productos italianos ensures that your imported goods comply with all local laws and regulations, helping you avoid costly fines or delays.
How Importers Ensure Compliance:
Documentation: Importers handle the necessary documentation required for customs clearance, including product specifications, certificates of origin, and any other required permits or licenses.
Quality and Safety: For food and beverage products, importers ensure that items meet health and safety standards. They may work with Italian producers to ensure that products are appropriately labeled and stored to comply with your country’s regulations.
Import Permits: Some products, like alcohol or organic foods, may require special import permits. Your importador productos italianos will guide you through these requirements and help you secure the necessary permits.
6. Customizable Product Offerings
An importadora de productos italianos can also help customize the products you import to meet the needs of your local market. This flexibility allows you to tailor your offerings to fit the preferences of your customers while still offering authentic Italian goods.
How Customization Works:
Product Selection: Depending on the demand in your local market, your importer can help you choose products that will appeal to your customers. Whether you're looking for gourmet food, luxury items, or specialty fashion, the importer can provide a tailored selection.
Private Labeling: If you're in the food business, an importer may help you find products that can be private-labeled with your branding. This allows you to sell high-quality Italian goods under your own store’s name, adding a personal touch to your offerings.
Exclusive Items: Working closely with an Italian product importer can give you access to exclusive items that are not widely available in your market. This can be a huge advantage for businesses looking to offer something special to their customers.
7. Building Long-term Relationships
Partnering with an importador productos italianos isn’t just about one-time orders—it’s about building a long-term relationship that benefits both parties. By working with the same importer consistently, you can expect better pricing, improved service, and access to exclusive products.
The Benefits of Long-term Partnerships:
Better Pricing: Long-term relationships with importers often result in better pricing, as they will value your continued business and may offer discounts or more favorable payment terms.
Exclusive Access: As your partnership with your importadora de productos italianos grows, you may gain access to exclusive products, early access to new releases, or the opportunity to collaborate on special projects.
Personalized Service: Over time, your importer will get to know your business needs and can offer more personalized service, from tailored product recommendations to faster shipping solutions.
Conclusion
Italian product importers provide efficient, reliable, and cost-effective solutions for businesses that want to offer high-quality Italian goods to their customers. Whether you’re a gourmet food store, a restaurant, or a boutique, working with a trusted importador productos italianos or importadora de productos italianos can streamline the importing process, reduce costs, ensure compliance, and help you source unique products that will elevate your business.
