MHA didn't create some miracle way of helping others. It was never promised to be this way. And when it came to villains...
Tumblr media
Spoilers for manga all the way to chapter 423.
The only way to get anything in life in MHA was to be born "normal" like everyone else and that way of thinking never left Izuku with Toga getting the same treatment she did before from everyone from her family to her "normal" classmates. It was Ochako who helped Toga even if just a little by lifting the weight of all the feelings that Toga had.
Tumblr media
She couldn't save Toga the way one could save a civilian by saving them from harm. If it worked that way Dabi would've saved Toga even before Ochako could apologize for failing to notice Toga. She was so lazer focused on saving everyone else, that she was just another villain to stop, not a human.
Even if by the end of it Ochako helped Toga to deal with her grief, acceptance as it was wasn't something possible when a quirk makes you want to drink someone's blood from jealousy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We got a bittersweet ending with Toga, in which she probably died from blood loss just like her double did in MVA. If it wasn't for Twice she would've died back then.
Giving away her blood for Ochako wasn't a redemption or a way to save Toga in the end, more as it was her being true to herself until the very end.
Just like Twice chose to stay with the League even if Hawks offered him a way to survive that battle. He refused and died protecting his friends who accepted him instead of choosing to betray them and accept Hawks' offer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After Twice's death... It was a matter of time that more 'active' LoV members would join him as well. As sad as it is, we now can return to Izuku.
Who, after his time OFA-AFO quirk space, now wanted to help a "crying boy" he saw in Tenko just as before with Katsuki in chapter 1. He didn't forgive Tomura and didn't excuse the way he chose to solve his problems.
It didn't mean that Tomura would survive in their battle, even if Izuku didn't see killing others as a way to solve problems. He didn't understand Tomura, but he still wanted to try, and try he did.
Tumblr media
The rest of this post was nothing more than a contextual prologue to understand that it's not the first time a hero failed to save a villain and in Twice's case we know that he died and his death was the reason Toga started thinking about her own possible death and Dabi finally revealed himself as Toya.
The goal of saving a "crying boy" never was an end-goal for Izuku in the Final arc, since helping Tomura deal with his feelings just left him hollow with a goal that clashed with Izuku's. As being a hero for villains meant destroying the world for them to help them live freely.
But that was before AFO resurfaced.
Tumblr media
Sadly after that Tomura who was talking about making his own choices for a while now stopped doing that. Even if he still had a goal of helping villains and only villains, Tomura was almost gone. And his goals were now unreachable.
Izuku helped Nana who in turn kept Tomura from fading away entirely. In MHA there were countless situations where Izuku's help affected people by helping a different person to keep hope, All-Might being the first one and Nana being the last one at the moment.
Tumblr media
Hollow after Izuku helped him to get rid of his hatred Tomura could do the only thing he did - accept the situation as it was.
Accepting AFO as his Sensei, accepting Stain's ideals and Overhaul's deal was the way he solved his problems. Just like Izuku had a problem of understanding something outside of his norm, Tomura was accepting too many things, which lead to his downfall after accepting AFO's quirk.
Just like Twice could've given up everything that he had for his friends so did Tomura.
Tumblr media
With Izuku helping as much as he could let Tomura to finally rest as he wasn't really living ever since waking up in the hospital. With his body now affected by AFO's wishes instead of his own until the end.
In a way Izuku didn't succeed in his wish for Tomura to stop ever since PLF war arc. As he "kept fighting to destroy" no matter how hard Izuku tried to stop him.
The only thing he succeeded in was changing Tomura's mind about himself, instead of viewing himself as a monster he accepted that he was a human just like Izuku said. A "crying boy" who couldn't really destroy Izuku's hands in the end.
For a group of Villains who weren't supposed to get profiles of their own at the start of the series, League is slowly fading as the most memorable group that there was in MHA, getting backstories, their own Villain themed arc all the while being as human as anyone else.
As sad as their story is they were not "unlucky", they didn't need a happy false ending where they would need to change to be normal - they chose to live this way and they lived it to it's fullest.

okay someone has probably said this before but i only just got to act 3 so i don't dare go into the tags to find it
but it's so fucking creepy that mizora replaced his eye with a sending stone tuned to her
like. THAT'S HIS EYE. can he see through it no but that's his fucking eye. and in the same battle that ruined his life she uses that newfound disability, that newly hollow place, and fills it with herself
like i can believe he lost his eye in the fighting or at least lost functionality of it due to smth cutting across the surface of it or smth
but the way that that is then used by mizora to spy on him, to track him鈥攖his message that he isn't his own, no matter what he does, because he sold his soul for his city and lost everything for it, and really, why wouldn't his own body be the next thing to go?
you see this again if you save karlach, and mizora turns him into a devil
this message of you are not your own, you are mine, and i can do what i please with you
and it's SO FUCKED UP. IT'S SO FUCKED UP.
especially considering how she ruined his life and then keeps cutting at him in little slices, little bits of cruelty and condescension where he can't fight back until he internalizes it, how long has it been since anyone cared for him and not just what he could do for them
and on top of that his fucking eye is a sending stone tuned into mizora and he can never even be truly alone

It's so funny to be working in one of the fields trump is going to be targeting and putting a clown in charge of, so funny to know just how crucial to the literal survival of every person in this country, but especially children, the work done in public health is. The ceaseless monitoring and action that you never hear about that keeps you as safe and healthy as you are now despite increasing republican-led budget cuts and political-interference. Already there are cracks in the system that are being felt, and it's about to get so much worse

It's missing Magic and Mystery hours anyways remember when Dazai told Atsushi in canon that people tend to cry when their fathers die and in chapter 19 when Mori kills the previous boss Dazai's got blood all over his face because of his eye getting stabbed out. Because I do.

Mom has been off cigarettes since Nov 13. She lied to her doctor today and is now convinced that getting off the cigarettes is killing her and we somehow hate her and somehow getting back on the cigarettes will make her better.
Dad has stage 4 cancer and getting ready to start chemo. Cigarettes in the house or around him would be disastrous. We can't afford them anyways. It's a choice between her family and her addiction and she's choosing her addiction.
I'm so angry and heartbroken that she would be this selfish. Had my first panic attack since I started the Zoloft and that was horrible.

God, this is just... so painful. Victor's reaction to Henry's death is the culmination of every harsh feelings he felt during the whole novel. It's a miracle that Victor even had energy to tell the tale of how the person he loved the most on earth was murdered. He feels responsible for the actions of a vengeful son. Victor feels the blood of his loved ones in his hands, even if those crimes were not commited by him.
This is what Adam wanted at the end, to make Victor feel miserable, and horrible in this earth. The murder of William was planned, yet the murder of Justine and Clerval were not. Yet, it doesn't matter, all of this suffering for Victor, who was left alone in this world.

Semi-related to the stuff I post here but anyone else aware of the RIIZE situation? The fact they put him on hiatus just because of a ''dating scandal'' only to finally announce he's coming back TWO DAYS ago and now he's been officially kicked out 'cause Korean fans (mostly girls who are insane and don't view idols as humans) threw a huge fit about it.
As an outsider of the group/fandom I can't speak too much about them but as a k-pop industry anti there's a lot to say about that. It's just so insane to me that in the year 2024, going on 2025, the built-in conception that idols belong to fans, love fans, are dedicated to their fans, and cannot have ACTUAL real love lives without it ruining their entire career is PSYCHOTIC. I cannot stress enough how ABNORMAL and WEIRD that is. I literally do not care to say that at all like if you (general) think it's okay to harass and bully any celebrity, but in this specific case k-pop idols, for doing the most human of things like going out with someone you're a freak, a loser, and you don't deserve to be a fan of anyone.
This idea that fans genuinely believe they have power to control another person's life, because they've been sold that idea by a corporation that makes money off of it, is so fucked up. But what's even worse in this situation is that the company completely threw him under the fucking bus once he lost value in their eyes. They don't care about talent, they don't care about the years of training he put in, they don't care about the relationships and bonds formed between the members that they are now tearing apart, all they wanted to use him for was to sell an image of him to fans, and now that the image has been ''ruined'' to a subset of that fandom, he's worthless to them, so they threw him away.
It's some nasty business. I have so little respect for fans who treat other people like toys, the complete and utter dehumanization of these people just doing a job, and it affects all of them. Like this is not the first and sadly won't be the last a situation like this happens until something about the industry and fan behavior changes.
