So much nonsense to wade through in this particular Spencer pov, and it's tricky because Spencer is kind of a bullshitter. He bullshits himself and bullshits others. I'm sorry, I just really don't buy that this as simple as Spencer contemplating making an altruistic sacrifice for the good of his "baby brother." This feels like Spencer, yet again, coming up with another excuse for not evolving to be the guy Trina deserves, because that's the difficult and uncertain path.

This is kind of what I feared with all of his reverence for Trina and her classical heroine traits. This is the consequence of being a heroine. He is too locked in to the "myth" of Trina and not really perceiving the totality of her. She is that smart and formidable girl that survived his crazy family. She is also the girl who's vulnerable and told him multiple times that she needed him in her life.

He remembers her facing off against Cyrus, and probably forgets the part where she collapsed in his arms. I don't know how you can properly love someone if you can't see all of the sides to them. It's sad that Spencer's self-esteem is so low that he apparently just doesn't really take Trina seriously when she says she needs him.

Spencer is just so all over the place right now. He's talking about how demon spawn needs him while he's spending his night camped out in Trina's dorm waiting for her to show up because he's afraid she's going to leave him. There's a disconnect between what he's saying and what he's doing. And I honestly think it's because Spencer can't reconcile the fact that regardless of how he feels in terms of whether or not Trina needs him, he clearly needs Trina. He doesn't know how not to need Trina, and that's been consistent for him from the moment he met her.

I don't know it's hard not to get the idea that there's a part of Spencer that's still a little intimidated by Trina, and all that she is, and insecure about his capacity to keep her so he's contemplating sabotaging. The case for demon spawn needing Spencer is easier for him to understand and believe than the idea of Trina needing him. It's less likely for demon spawn to abandon him than Trina as well. I'm trying to work out what's really up with Spencer because his insistence on comparing Trina's role in his life to demon spawn's is kind of bonkers.

Trina never asked Spencer to give her the same attention as an infant. She asked him to think about his future, to invest in himself. It's also not lost on me that in the same sentence Spencer is firmly establishing Trina as an "adult", he is once again comparing himself to demon spawn and saying he knows what that thing feels.

Kinda feels like the temps might be hinting at the idea that Spencer running away from his relationship with Trina is akin to him running away from adulthood. Trina is who makes him happiest but she's also becoming representative of the future, letting go of the past and growing up fr, all things that seemingly terrify Spencer.

so once me and my wife were watching a documentary where a snake ate like a million eggs. that snake just went to fucking town on eggs. and the snake made the eggs look so good that i kept thinking about it, and thinking about it, and thinking about it, and eventually it was 11pm and i ran out of willpower and decided to eat one (1) singular raw egg just to prove to myself that the snake was surely a liar.

the snake was not a liar. texture is like, super important to me and raw eggs are very Texture so i had another one, and then another one, and then another one, and eventually i ran out of eggs.

i had like, fifteen raw eggs.

i didnt really know how to explain this momentary madness to my wife, so my Plan was to put all the eggshells into a grocey bag, and then throw that grocery bag in the dumpster, and if she never noticed that would be Excellent and if she noticed immediately i could lie and say that the eggs went bad.

except i cant lie very good, and of course with murphys law being such, i got salmonella.

so i threw up a lot and my wife asked me what poisoned me so and i tried very hard to dodge the question but i was oozing shame like oil from a room temperature cheese and eventaully i gave in and told her everything and to her enormous credit she was more flabbergasted than actually upset. she did make me promise to not eat any more raw eggs, which i have stuck to, and she gives me weird looks during nature documentaries now as if desire was the only thing keeping me from eating thousands of pounds of krill anyway i made a joke earlier about being able to eat my age in eggs and my sister in law in law made a drawing to comemorate the moment and also because it was my birthday. she's excellent. thank you 10000000% @cintailed. you should all visit her page and admire her work.

It's a lot healthier to go for a daily walk than to sign up for a gym membership you won't be using because you hate that kind of exercise. It's a lot healthier to eat a frozen meal than to skip a meal because you were too tired to cook something healthy. It's a lot healthier to take a quick shower than to procrastinate an elaborate routine for days. Don't aim so high that you won't be hitting anything!
