That NY Times article doesn't even seem like it talked to her family. No quotes from them. All it has is quotes from total strangers claiming Hamas raped people.

Like "Four witnesses described in graphic detail seeing women raped and killed at two different places along Route 232, the same highway where Ms. Abdush’s half-naked body was found sprawled on the road at a third location.

"And The Times interviewed several soldiers and volunteer medics who together described finding more than 30 bodies of women and girls in and around the rave site and in two kibbutzim in a similar state as Ms. Abdush’s — legs spread, clothes torn off, signs of abuse in their genital areas."

I mean, what kind of proof is that? And then they talk about "one woman’s corpse that emergency responders discovered in the rubble of a besieged kibbutz with dozens of nails driven into her thighs and groin" and "two dead Israeli soldiers at a base near Gaza who appeared to have been shot directly in their vaginas."

Were any of those women Gal Abdush? OBVIOUSLY NOT, so why even mention them?

The Times really went out of their way to fill that column space with extraneous nonsense. They even interview some random accountant who talks about "seeing groups of heavily armed gunmen rape and kill at least five women."

She says "she then watched another woman 'shredded into pieces.' While one terrorist raped her, she said, another pulled out a box cutter and sliced off her breast. 'One continues to rape her, and the other throws her breast to someone else, and they play with it, throw it, and it falls on the road.'

"She said the men sliced her face and then the woman fell out of view. Around the same time, she said, she saw three other women raped and terrorists carrying the severed heads of three more women."

Come on. Do you even know how hard it is to cut off someone's head?! IT'S REALLY HARD. I haven't done it, but one time I had to finish beheading a chicken, and that was tough enough!

And THEN they talk to Raz Cohen, who has been doing interviews since early October talking about all these gang rapes he supposedly saw! So then HE tells them about seeing five men passing a screaming naked woman around, taking turns raping her before one knifes her to death.

And his "fashion designer" "friend" who was hiding with him at the music festival says he saw it too, and talks about the five guys laughing and chatting and giggling about it.

The article just goes on and on and on and on! All these first responders and coroners and whatever, talking about how they found dead women with their vaginas cut open, dead women with bloody crotches whose fingernails had been torn out, dead teen girls with semen on their bodies.... It's like, okay, we get it already! You don't have any proof that Gal Abdush was raped! 🙄

i don't think people understand the extent of the horror happening in palestine right now. "death" means nothing to people because of desensitisation so let me just tell you what white phosphorus is. it's being used in israeli munitions and has been and will continue to be fired across gaza and the palestinian borders.

white phosphorus burns when it comes into contact with oxygen (at nearly 800°C or 1500°F. the human body can withstand ~50°C for reference.) the air you breathe in ignites and it is near impossible extinguish. it sticks to clothing and skin and is very difficult to remove because it will continue to ignite in air. it burns flesh up to the bone and even past the bone because it penetrates tissue and is absorbed VERY easily. if you inhale it it'll destroy your respiratory tract and lungs. it can cause failure in multiple organs including the liver, kidneys and heart. it is being released in one of the most densely populated places on earth.

the only way to treat someone exposed to white phosphorus is to submerge them in saline or water and to pick out the substance with forceps, and when you undress a wound the substance can re-ignite. this is just ONE weapon that is being used to kill palestinian people right now. palestine does not have access to medical care, humanitarian aid, power, or internet. their hospitals are being bombed. gaza is one of the most densely populated places in the world with over 50% of the population being children. many children are the sole survivors of their families. there are videos of children experiencing panic attacks and symptoms of ptsd. the fact that israel has committed war crimes in plain sight means that we can only imagine what will happen to the palestinians in complete darkness.

israel has and will continue to deny this. your interests and fandom will still be here, you will wake up tomorrow morning and see your friends and family, but an entire nation of people are being wiped off the map. being silent is being complacent. reblog, spread information, tell people in real life, attend protests, sign petitions, call your government offices, at the very least be angry and upset and horrified because once you become numb and indifferent and hopeless the oppressors will have already won.

1. The safe zones they move to are no longer safe zones because Hamas uses them as military zones and undertakes military business in those zones. Under international law, it is a war crime to use a protected building or zone as it makes it no longer a protected zone and makes Israel allowed to attack the area. Whilst intentionally killing civilians is also a war crime and would be the IDF's fault, if any civilians get caught in the crossfire or get any stray fire, Hamas is at fault for their deaths. If hamas cared for their civilians, they would not carry out military business in safe zones.

2. Journalists aren't being intentionally attacked. Hamas and AL Jazeera misreport who are journalists. For example, a builder who was killed was reported as being a journalist. He was not a journalist. Here is a source which goes into it and shows examples of the lies.

3. It is absolutely terrible that Palestinians are starving, but it is not Israel's fault. Enough aid enters the strip to feed people in Gaza. However Hamas and UNWRA staff (which has links to Hamas), instead of letting aid org deal out aid evenly, steals aid and sells it. Palestinians are literally having to purchase aid from Hamas. Aid that they are supposed to get for free. Source.

4. Saying that i don't want anyone dying is not at all akin to saying all lives matter. One is an opinion, the other is twisting a phrase to change the meaning of the original phrase.

Black lives matter means that obviously all lives matter however black lives need to be focused on due to being at a higher risk. All lives matter twists black lives matter into a false meaning of only black lives matter and no other lives.

Saying that "I don't want anyone to die" is a factual statement of my opinion. It is a fact that i do not want anyone to die. It's not me twisting it to make it seem like Palestinian lives are lesser or that no one should be focusing on Palestinian lives.

Gaza is extremely anti LGBT. Most of the Muslim world actually is. Because in miss countries that practice Islam have a few practices to deal with gay people. Castration, jail, or death. It's extremely common to find in most nations. Gaza isn't an exception. The region has it's own laws, specifically that of jailing people whom are gay. For 10 years.

The second claim revolves around the fact that scholars have made pretty definite claims that most all the Philistines are fundamentally gone. Sure it's likely you'll find traces in your blood line somewhere but no that land area has not been occupied by "Palestinians" for a long time. It's actually rather recent.

Also I can separate the people who support Gazan people from people who suppose Hamas, except you all give me on reason to. You lie about hostages, beheadings, and rapes. Most all of you call the Jewish people colonizers when historically almost ALL of that land is their land. What's more while there isn't a voting system in Gaza, Hamas was supported into a position of power through bribery etc by the current people of Gaza.

I fully agree that Israel is a nation-state that does all the things nation-states do. Can you explain to me what that has to do with Zionism?

People seem to have two main definitions of Zionism. One is basically "a specifically Jewish movement in support of genocide."

This is the "Zionism = [Racism/Genocide/White Supremacy]" version.

The other one is basically "the belief that it's okay for Israel to continue to exist."

The second one is effectively what the belief of every Zionist I've ever met boils down to.

For several months last year, I thought that all the vehemently anti-Zionist people were redefining it, from "what people who call themselves Zionists actually believe" to, basically, Jews 4 Genocide.

But the more I heard from the movement, the more people I saw saying that Israel shouldn't exist. In a very immediate, concrete kind of way.

Like, "Jews go back to Poland; all of it is Occupied Palestine; Israel isn't a country, it's a genocidal settler-colonialist project and there are no innocent Israeli civilians; Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth."

The meme above about "a small group of European Jews who explicitly said they were doing colonialism" implies to me that you're talking about the latter.

Personally, as an American citizen, living in a state that wiped out the Yahi people entirely, I find it extremely confusing that we point our fingers at anybody else. And yet, there's no word for the belief that it's okay for the United States to continue to exist.

Maybe that's partly because if we could wave a magic wand and instantly give all the land back to the groups it belonged to 500 years ago, transporting everyone else back to one of their countries of origin, the indigenous groups here no longer have the social infrastructure they used when they were self-governing. Or the number of people that let their societies function. Or the ecosystems that let their societies function. Or, often, their languages and cultural practices. Or their homes. Or a way to maintain the infrastructure that's there now.

Also, that's not what they're asking for, at all. The Palestinians are in a very different situation in a lot of ways, but they're the exact same on this point. Hamas is explicitly fighting for the violent destruction of Israel; its propaganda is why that idea has spread so far here. But the two-state solution is the only one that has any traction in Gaza:

Possibly because Hamas treats the people of Gaza like poisonous garbage.

Though his films all have a central theme of oppression and the right for the oppressed to rebel, to many peoples’ surprise Jordan Peele signed the letter addressed to Joe Biden thanking him for funding the Israeli genocide of the native Palestinian peoples. The destruction occurring in the Gaza strip is far more horrifying than any Hollywood thriller could possibly be. Entire families are being wiped off the earth, entire neighborhoods turned to rubble. Food, water, internet, fuel and electricity are all absent in the Gaza strip and the aid from neighboring countries is currently blocked from entry. A people with no organized military are being subjected to the equivalent of the atomic bomb in one of the most densely populated zones in the entire world. 

As a racial peer of Jordan’s, being half black and half white, the intertwining of the Palestinian struggle and the black American struggle is blatant. We are both presumed guilty and police states follow a policy of shoot first, ask questions later. Our parents and grandparents, like the Palestinians, know what it is like for “your” state to bomb your people. Israel would not be able to carry out the decades of subjugation without the billions of US aid, which Israel then uses to develop new war technology that is then shipped back to the US (and around the world). One example is the facial recognition tech that cops use to target organizers.

Like in the 2020 Candyman, Palestinians also remember their martyrs. They hang posters of them and keep their memories alive. It's how they cope with the fact that this happened, that it's still happening. Undoubtedly, many of these posters have been lost in the brutal bombing of the Gaza strip. As black Americans we have immense pain in our histories, as do the people of Palestine. Stolen from our homes, subjugated for our race and humiliated we share a common struggle. 

A few years ago, I adopted a policy of not deifying celebrities. I think 2020 showed many that their biggest allegiance is not to their race, where they came from or to the same moral systems that many of us hold dearly; it’s to their class. Their class of being the ultra wealthy, ultra powerful. It’s a shame that someone who has created thought provoking works centering oppression would support the genocide of an entire people. Frankly to me, it’s more confusing than anything else. But we do know that people who have spoken for Palestine have lost connections to major companies. Perhaps this motivated Peele, perhaps we will never know why he signed the letter. As human beings, I believe we have the responsibility to call Israel what it is: a colonial apartheid state. It is honestly amazing that Hamas members can go out there with bodycams on, film themselves curbstomping Israeli heads, chopping people's heads off with hoes, shooting drivers point-blank -- and worse, that's just the first three videos I remembered watching off the top of my head -- and their apologists will still insist that actually, they didn't kill hardly anybody. The problem of the situation is as follow :

Hamas want to finish what Hitler started.

Hamas control the West Bank.

Hamas steal international aid to the people for their tunnels and weapons.

The leaders are safe outside of palestine.

Hamas publicly declared they intended to repeat their actions of the 7 of October until Israel is destroyed.

The Israeli government is scummy, that is something everyone agree upon.

However, Israel can't have peace with Hamas, it's not a matter of political convenience, it's a matter of "these mad butchers want to kill every jews except maybe the women they want to rape before either permanently putting in slavery or killing."

I would love that the UN resolve could actually be of help, but as it is? The only way to bring peace to the situation is the annihilation of Hamas, Desert Storm the fuck out of these beasts in human shape.

However, the UN is cowardly, so instead of destroying the terrorist group, they operate under a childish notion of "giving time out to both sides." while refusing to adress Israel's security concerns coming from how hamas constantly send missiles against them.

Israel's current government is led by an imperialist cunt, but here's the thing, Bibi can lose his office, and before the latest phase of conflicts started by Hamas, huge protests were against him.

Hamas meanwhile is a fundamentalist genocidal imperialist dictatorship, the whole group is rotten, and they don't care how their crimes can impact either the common Palestinian people, Israel's Arab population, who have its own political party and is given equal rights per Israel's constitution.

Hamas is the same kind of group as those who attacked France since January 2015 for its laic values, the reason people like Netenyahu manage to gain power and most importantly keep is because of the genocidal islamist mindset that rightfully terrify Israel's population.
