Quirkless Midoriya/Pro Hero Todoroki/Underground Hero Shinsou
In the hero community, it’s common for popular heroes to have merchandise for sale. Amongst these items are a few staples: t-shirts, figurines, and, of course, replicas of their costumes. This is where Deku, a well-known YouTuber, comes into play. Deku’s Hero Analysis is a series where the host, Deku, dresses up in official pro hero costumes, then does an analysis of each hero and reviews some of their merchandise. Joining him is Hito-nyan, the sarcastic cameraman who never shows his face and loves to push Deku’s buttons. And watching them is pro hero Todoroki Shouto, who absolutely, without a doubt, does not have a crush on Deku. Except actually he does, which is fine, because it turns out they have a friend in common and getting to meet the adorable YouTube star is more likely to happen than he ever would have dreamed.

‘Till the End of the Line: Bakugo Katsuki’s Twin AU chapter 2
Ch1 ao3 link wattpad link i'm sorry this took so long, vet school is killing me ;-; this chapter has been sitting in my drafts for so long but the latest episode made me finally do it
Tumblr media
The following months have been extensive for both Katsuki and Mitsuko. They tried to be consistent with their morning runs, but there were times where one or both of them would sleep in. Mostly Mitsuko, which pissed her twin a lot. After school, they would spend an hour improving their physical condition and stamina, and another hour training with their quirks. All while trying to keep up with their studies and reviewing for the entrance exam.
Ten months had passed, and the twins are now walking towards the enormous gates of UA High School. They took the written exam a few weeks ago, which was easier than they expected. Today is the day that the twins are anticipating the most, the practical exam. Mitsuko felt a mix of emotions as she looked up the school’s crest on top of the gate. She’s nervous, but at the same time she’s excited and can’t wait to put her training to use.
As they entered the school grounds, a familiar curly green hair caught her eyes. “Hey look, it’s your bff,” she nudged her brother.
From a few feet away, Midoriya Izuku stood at the middle in deep thought. Probably freaking out on the inside.
“Out of the way Deku!” Katsuki yelled.
“Kacchan! Micchan!” Izuku called in surprise.
Mitsuko visibly cringed at the nickname he used to address her and eyed the boy. “I told you to stop calling me that.”
“Move it! Or I’ll kill you!” her brother spat, unaffected by the childish nickname.
The boy immediately stepped out of the way and stuttered. “G-good morning! Let’s uh— let’s do our best!”
The twins didn’t say anything back, but she gave him a small smile before continuing to walk to the building.
“Isn’t that Bakugo? From the Sludge Villain Incident?”
“Yeah. And that’s the girl from the video. They’re twins aren’t they?”
Mitsuko is used to people murmuring about them, given that her brother is a big show off. This isn’t the first time they had people talking about something that one of them did, so she chose to ignore the whispers and looked ahead.
Inside the auditorium, they were greeted by the Voice Hero, Present mic. Mitsuko sat next to her brother, as well as Izuku who chose to be seated next to them and is currently fan boying over the pro hero at the podium. Katsuki tried telling him to shut up, but the boy kept muttering to himself and Mitsuko had to lean away from his direction to avoid getting distracted.
“As the application says, you’ll be participating in a ten minute battle in a mock city. Get ready! After this, you will head to your assigned battle center.”
She looked at her examination card, and then glanced over her brother’s.
“In other words, they’re not letting friends work together, huh?”
“You’re right,” Izuku agreed, his eyes glued to the blonde boy’s card. “We have consecutive numbers, but different centers.”
“Don’t look, want to die?” Katsuki threatened. “Tch. Now I can’t crush you, damn it.”
His last words made the curly boy move away a bit and turn his attention back to the stage.
“Makes sense,” Mitsuko whispered, her focus still on her card which displayed a letter C while her brother got A. “The exam is meant to test our individual abilities. They wouldn’t want us to tag-team.”
Present Mic continued his presentation. He went on to inform them about the types of mock villains they will be facing and that each type represents 1, 2, and 3 points each. They were also told about the gimmick villain that they’re supposed to run away from since it’s just there to cause trouble and not give points.
She played with her fingers as she tried to listen, making sure she knows every detail.
“Stop fidgeting,” her brother snapped. “It’s annoying. Why are nervous anyway?”
“I don’t know. It’s a mix between excitement and anxiety. And this orientation is taking so long,” she replied, intertwining her fingers to keep them steady.
“You’re right. We’ve heard enough, I can’t wait to crush those bots. Think you can get a hundred points?” her twin asked, still looking ahead. Although it’s obvious that he’s also starting to get restless.
“A hundred might be impossible, considering the time limit, the competition, and the fact that we won’t have any idea where the villains would be.”
“I can make it possible,” he brother scoffed. “And I’ll make sure to get the first spot.”
“Is that a challenge?” she raised a brow. “Whoever gets less points have to do the other’s chores for two weeks, then.”
Katsuki grinned at the raised stake. “Deal. Let’s show these extras how it’s done.”
***
Mitsuko tried containing her loud heartbeats as she stood before the door where the exam is going to take place. After the orientation, they were directed to change out of their middle school uniforms and get on the bus that would take them to their respective battle centers. She had changed into a white racerback tank top and some sweat pants.
The format of the test is very fortunate for her, since her quirk can easily be utilized. She imagined how those with quirks that only works to people would do against robots.
“Let’s do our best!” she heard an excited voice. Mitsuko looked over her shoulder to see a girl with pink hair and pink skin talking to the people around her with no tinge of awkwardness. They locked eyes for a moment.
“Huh? Why do you look familiar?” the girl looked at her with a hint of recognition.
Before she could respond, the voice of the hero Present Mic echoed through the speakers.
“Start! What are waiting for? Real fights don’t have countdowns!”
Mitsuko didn’t waste any second and ran inside the training grounds, using her quirk to propel herself forward.
She saw a couple of number 1 and 2 robots straight ahead. Without any hesitation, she pointed her palms toward them and willed her quirk out. Her forearms glowed in bright white-yellow color. The light traveled onto her hands into her palms before blasting to the direction of the robots. They exploded with the contact, leaving electric sparks and smokes.
“Nice quirk ‘ya got there,” a voice from behind commented. Mitsuko whirled around and saw a boy approaching her. He’s got blonde hair and gray eyes, but what caught her attention (in a bad way) was the annoying smug face that he has.
She didn’t reply, so the boy continued. “Must be nice having a quirk so flashy, huh?”
He tapped her on the shoulder, and a look of recognition flashed across his face for a second, before being replaced with a smirk. “Weren’t you that girl from the video? Didn’t expect you to be here after all that shit talking to those heroes.”
The smirk was one thing, but his words made Mitsuko’s blood boil. Her red pupils dilated and her right eyebrow raised as she tried to stop herself from blinding the guy. She shouldn’t be distracted right now.
Another batch of robots showed up, and she thanked the heavens for giving her an excuse to walk away from where she’s currently standing.
“Sorry, but I don’t have time for a chitchat,” she said in a monotone voice, swatting the guy’s hand away from her shoulder.
She ran to destroy the robots, but before she could stretch her hands out, quick flashes of light reached and blasted them into pieces. No, those were not just lights, they look too much like hers.
She looked back to where the lights came from, confusion clearly visible from her face.
“Whoops! Sorry for stealing points from ‘ya, but I gotta do what I gotta do, don’t ‘ya think?” it was the same blonde guy, still wearing his irritating smirk. He turned on his heel and began walking away. “I’ll be having this flashy quirk for a while, better make use of it!”
Those words confused her even more. Did he just get her quirk?
She shook her head and put her focus back on the exam. Shit. Was he trying to stall me for some reason?
The exam just started, but she could’ve gotten more points if she wasn’t standing around having a one sided conversation with that guy. She can’t afford to waste more time.
She flew around the grounds looking for more targets, blasting her quirk backwards to levitate and propel herself faster. Taking down every robot she encounters along the way as quickly as she could.
She was at 23 points, if she counted correctly, when she reached the area where a lot of the kids are gathered. Present Mic’s voice echoed through the speakers again.
“We have reached the half time!! Five minutes left before the exam ends!!!”
She saw a bunch of robots with different points surrounding the students. More people means more robots to see them as targets. Just as she figured.
Mitsuko jumped over, smirking in satisfaction as she shot her quirk out at every single robot within her sight while using her flexibility and agility to maneuver herself.
The kids stared at her in awe. “What an awesome quirk she’s got.”
“Isn’t she the girl from that one video?”
“Hey! Leave some points for us!” one of them shouted out.
She continued gathering points, keeping herself airborne using her quirk and sometimes stepping on the robots to use them to keep her momentum. She kept going, faster and quicker, not letting the others steal points from her again.
By the time her feet touched the ground, all of the robots around the area were already blown into bits. Mitsuko wiped the sweat from her forehead and tightened her ponytail. She also noticed her arms glowing a bit. She must’ve used up the stored energy in her body since it’s currently absorbing sunlight again.
“You are so cool!! Those movements were amazing! You look like you could be a great dancer!” the same pink girl ran to her with enthusiasm. Mitsuko just noticed a pair of horns protruding out from her pink curly locks.
“I don’t dance,” she replied, looking around for more robots to destroy. She realized she lost count of her points after her exhibition earlier.
“Really? You should try! The way you’re moving while fighting is awesome!”
“I came here to be a hero, not a dancer,” Mitsuko cut the girls’ blabbering. “Sorry, but I really don’t have the time to–“
The ground shook, and a loud grumbling mechanical sound cut her last sentence. She looked up to see a huge robot approaching. It’s the zero point they were supposed to run away from.
Anyone with no balls would run away from that thing, all right. She thought to herself.
“Let’s go! That’s a no-pointer!” the pink girl pulled the back of her top.
Before they could take a step back however, the robot continued to stroll through the streets, destroying the buildings and causing debris to fall down.
Talk about keeping the damage to a minimum!
People began to scatter in a panic. Everyone was pushing trying to run away.
A huge piece of the building’s wall caught Mitsuko’s attention. It was plummeting into the direction of the students, specifically the pink girl. Mitsuko didn’t even realize that the girl started running off. The girl was looking over her left shoulder, seemingly trying to call Mitsuko to join the retreat. While the debris was coming from her right side, a complete blind spot.
She hasn’t trained much to target moving objects, not to mention fast ones. So she decided not to try and shoot it while it’s falling down.
Her next action was caused by the heat of the moment. It was a crazy idea, but she prayed it would work.
Mitsuko ran towards the girl faster than the rock. When she reached her, she pushed the girl out of the way and produced the strongest energy barrier she could muster. It was a move she’s been improving for the past year. It worked against her brother’s attacks, so she’s hoping that it’ll work against the huge piece of rock.
It did. Sort of.
She was able to stop the debris without her barrier faltering, but its weight and momentum was too heavy. She couldn’t free a hand to blast the rock into pieces. Now she’s stuck holding both her hands up to maintain the barrier.
She heard the pink girl grunt from behind her, and a spray of acid splashed onto the lower part of the rock causing it to move a little. In that given moment, Mitsuko quickly released her barrier and used her quirk again to make the rock explode.
The debris was casting a shadow over her so unlike before, her arms seemed to glow brighter. The rock blew up into pieces, but her body continued to glow a little as it absorbed sunlight to compensate for the energy she just lost.
Mitsuko turned around, panting as bits of sweat began forming on her forehead. She saw the girl trying to stand on her feet, but she couldn’t seem to put weight on her left foot.
“Can you run?” Mitsuko asked.
“No, I think I sprained my ankle from falling down earlier. Why’d you have to push me so hard anyway?!” the girl exclaimed.
“Huh!?” Mitsuko’s brows furrowed. “How is that my fault?! I just saved your ass!”
They didn’t have more time to argue, because the zero-point robot was nearing their position. As much as she hated it, Mitsuko took the girl’s arm over her shoulder and began moving. The people had thinned out, the other examinees must’ve managed to run off far from where they were.
Great. That just made their situation worse, because now the only targets the robot has was the two of them. And it’s currently aiming its enormous metal hand to swat them like little flies.
Despite trying to convince herself that UA wouldn’t allow anyone to get killed for an entrance exam, Mitsuko’s wracking nerves still got the best of her.
With gritted teeth, she let go of the girl’s arms, “Take cover!” she yelled and turned around to face the giant villain. She raised her arms, still glowing from the absorption, and waited for the perfect time to blast. But before that perfect time came, she felt a sudden smack behind her head.
Anger and confusion took over her as she tried to process what just happened. Mitsuko looked around with furrowed brows and saw a guy walking past her.
The annoying blonde kid from earlier stood in front of her and threw an energy blast towards the hands of the robot. Just like their first encounter, his blast looked so much like her quirk. The villain stopped, and the boy snickered before looking back at her. “I never planned to go after the gimmick, but I thought you needed saving,” he said in an arrogant voice which made Mitsuko’s mind ring in irritation.
“YOU FUCKING COPYCAT!” she began stomping towards him.
“Oh, you finally figured it out? You’re welcome, although that’s not a very nice nickna—“
“ARE YOU STUPID?! THAT ATTACK WAS SO WEAK IT WON’T EVEN MAKE A SCRATCH!”
There was a loud metallic creaking sound. Mitsuko looked up, the smokes are gone so she could clearly see how right she was. The robot is still standing, not even a dent could be seen in its huge hands that is now coming down to them faster than before.
She muttered a curse before running to the right side, leaving the other two frozen in their place. When she reached the right spot, she raised her arms once again and acted as fast as she could.
She willed her quirk out, this time much stronger and concentrated than before, making her entire arms glow instead of just her forearms. The light traveled through her hands and palms before shooting out, her legs almost giving up from the shot's recoil. It hit the robot’s elbow, just as she planned. Her attack was powerful enough to pierce through its armor and cut its forearm off, stopping it from hitting the other kids.
Panting, Mitsuko then just realized that she lost track of both the time and her points. She was about to run to gather more points when Present Mic’s voice echoed once again.
“TIME’S UP!”
“Dammit!”

Aizawa Sketch by Vigilantes artist Betten Court (not depicted: my screams of sexual frustration)
It had been a very long day.
You just wanted to get home, shower, crash for a few hours without having to worry about being woken up for a teenaged life crisis, and rouse yourself early enough to catch your boyfriend as he came back from patrol so you could send him off to his own sweet dreams with a good fuck before you had to get back to the school.
You were on your usual shortcut out of the UA campus, following a makeshift path down a small rise, past a utility building. You heard something in the bushes. This was really not the time for a villain attack. Not that there was a good time for such an attack, but this would have been exceptionally bad timing. You opened your second pair of eyes to scope out the situation, blinking a few times to clear away any obstructions. (Yes, you were a teacher with literal eyes in the back of your head. Yes, you had heard all the jokes. Even that one. Especially that one.)
You didn't see anything, so you just kept on walking. Until you couldn't. Because you were suddenly all bound up. Instead of anger or fear, you felt excitement. There was only one person who could get one over on you that easily...
He seemed to appear out of nowhere. Your boyfriend, Aizawa Shouta, Eraser Head, scourge of the criminal underworld, the Night's King himself, held your fabric restraints in one hand while he twirled his goggles around a finger of the other.
You stood rooted in place until he tugged on the bindings, forcing you to follow him to the utility shed. He pressed you into the side of the shed face-first, loosening the bindings so they draped around you more than anything.
"Be a good girl and this will be fun for us both," he whispered in your ear, following up his command with a tiny nip of your lobe before adding, "I don't have long."
You batted your second set of eyes at him and tried to shimmy around so you could face him and grip his shoulders and back.
Shouta just laughed at you. "You think you're in control, little girl?" Ohhh, when his voice got that dark, that commanding, that borderline-sinister...
"If you want to be in control just say the word, sweetheart," he added quietly.
You shook your head no. "I'll be good," you said. "I want to be good."
"Then you'll be quiet while I fuck you," Aizawa said, as he turned his scarf into a makeshift gag. He hiked your dress up and tore your panties off. Your second eyes watched him stuff them into one of the pockets on his belt and you gasped through the gag. He pressed his body close to yours and you heard him start to unfasten his costume. You whined and pleaded with your second eyes.
"All right," he said softly, backing up so you could see him partially undressing himself. His thighs were so muscular and exuded power, just like the rest of him. You whined again when he left his boxer-briefs on, but this time he gently pressed you back against the shed placed one hand where your collarbone met your neck, and said, "I told you to be quiet." He gently squeezed the front of your neck a little and your legs almost buckled--this was your favorite, your absolute favorite thing--while his other hand moved between your legs.
"You don't want anyone to hear, do you? Or do you want to get caught?"
You made all manner of little noises and the scarf gag got a little wetter. The hand around your neck pulled down your dress bodice and began massaging your nipples through the lace of your bra.
"Fuck yes," Aizawa growled. "Look at what a mess you're becoming. Should drag you to a bed, tie you up, see if I can make you come just from playing with these." He grabbed your breast forcefully and your back arched--you really were on the verge, but Shouta clutched you until you were still. Very, very still. And, as you now realized, very, very wet.
"Ready, kitten?"
You nodded.
Shouta slowly pushed his length into you before he began to move with the sort of control only he could be capable of in such a situation.
"Look at me, beautiful. Please," he begged. You opened your second eyes and he was staring back at you with a tremendous amount of love. You grunted three times quickly, and Shouta took the gag out of your mouth.
"Love you so much, Shouta. Make me yours."
He was a powerful man and he poured all that power into relentlessly fucking you against the shed. It didn't take long for an all-encompassing orgasm to overtake you, and then him.
He kept you caged in against the wall as you both came down. You felt so protected. Part of you just wanted to sleep, but the way Shouta firmly placed his hand on your shoulder told you that wasn't how this was going to go.
Shouta kissed the back of your head. "We're not done."
--
"Hey, Bakugou, I think we may have a problem."
"The problem is that you are interrupting my studying, Shitty Hair!" Bakugou's hands began to pop a little bit, which caused Mina and Jirou to shoot a Silence! look in their direction. Bakugou's entire body flexed like he wanted to blow up, but he managed to spit out a "Sorry" instead.
Kirishima smiled at Bakugou for a second before getting stern. "I'm serious. I think [Name]-Sensei may be in trouble."
"Tch, [Name]-Sensei is a Pro." Kirishima noted that, despite this declaration, Bakugou hadn't returned to what he was studying.
"Bakugou, you were the one who noticed that, when [Name]-Sensei spends the night at her apartment, it takes her exactly 18 minutes from when she leaves the dorms to exit through the gate out there (he pointed at an exit clearly visible from the window). Well--she left forty minutes ago and I haven't seen her."
"Hmmmm...." Bakugou looked at his books, looked back at Kirishima, and then started to nod. "Yeah...let's go."
--
"What a cute little kitten you are, all tangled up." Aizawa's voice had moved somewhere beyond sinful, to some new vista of sexual charge that you didn't know existed. "I think you'd look so pretty with a little collar." He gently looped his scarf around your neck. "Hmmm, I'm right, it makes you look so pretty. I think I want to see you like this more often, baby."
You nodded your head 'Yes' and moaned, trying to use the wall of the utility shed to muffle the sounds. But, when Aizawa tightened your 'collar' just a little and began teasing your entrance again, it became clear no amount of trying to muffle things was going to help.
You felt like you were going to come again just from Shouta rubbing you and moving one, then two, fingers in and out of your pussy, but instead he sheathed himself inside you again. You made something that sounded like a wail, and you got louder and louder as Shouta moved inside you.
From some distance, you heard an out-of-place voice:
"[Name]-Sensei! It's OK! Bakugou and I are coming!"
Shouta stopped thrusting and froze. You flexed your body in frustration (Kirishima and Bakugou were extremely lucky that you'd had an orgasm already).
"It's a couple of the kids," you hissed.
The fog of lust that had been enveloping your brain quickly dissipated and the severity of your situation became clear. "What the hell are they doing here?"
He couldn't help himself: "I told you you needed to be quiet, baby."
Your second eyes flashed and you sputtered a bit before snapping at him. "Help me--take the fucking scarf off--your pants--this is a disaster--my life is over--"
Shouta tried to soothe you as he removed the scarf and tried to help you reassemble your outfit.
The boys' footsteps got louder. They were close to the rise. You could see the tops of their heads. Which meant they could probably see you.
"We're coming Sen--" Bakugou's voice cut off and you heard the sound of something falling to the ground.
"Fuck!" said Shouta, who was finishing fastening himself up. "That didn't sound good."
"Let's go," you replied.
You and Shouta were halfway up the rise when you made eye contact with...Kayama. Kirishima and Bakugou were slumbering at her feet, and she was grinning.
"I would never have guessed, [Name]." She also gave Aizawa quite a look. "But I approve." Shouta looked as embarrassed as you had ever seen him.
"Don't worry," she said. "They didn't really see anything. Just a flash of their Sensei and some figure dressed in black."
You both nodded.
Kayama motioned toward Bakugou. "I truly do hate to tear lovers apart, but I'd say we have about 10 minutes, so we'd better hurry."
You gave Shouta a hug and a chaste kiss. "I should probably just stay here tonight. See you tomorrow?"
He kept you close. "Next time let me pick where we do this, baby. I know places where I can have you to myself for as long as I want you."
Your face got hot and you whined as you tried to grind against him a little.
Kayama cleared her throat.
"Well, I guess this is goodbye for now, kitten," Shouta whispered in your ear before he gave you one last peck on the cheek.
You helped return the two boys to their rooms and then you and Kayama walked to the teachers' wing in dead silence except for bidding one another a good night. When she shut her door behind her, you could hear her peals of laughter through the wall.
--
The next morning, you could tell Kirishima wanted to say something. "Good morning, Kirishima. I hope you slept well." "I had the oddest dream, Sensei. Bakugou and I were about to save you from a villain attack and then...and then..."
"And then what?" snarled Bakugou.
"I woke up in my bed," replied Kirishima. "It was a much crazier dream than I'm making it sound."
Bakugou's face was unreadable.
The chimes sounded, and there was a gruff noise at the door. Shouta shuffled in and you were fairly certain that you stopped breathing for a moment before you remembered that he was here to talk to the class about CQC.
He stood next to you for a moment and you both stared out toward the kids. "Class," you began in a voice that seemed like it was coming from outside your body, "today, the covert special operations hero Eraser Head will be providing some specialized instruction in close quarters combat..."
As you talked, you couldn't help but note the absolute confusion in Kirishima and Bakugou's eyes.
It was going to be another long day.

Drabble I had in drafts for too long
“You wanted to see me, All Might?” Mirio peaked his head into the teacher’s lounge. The Pro Hero looked over to the young man selected to inherit greatness. “Ah, yes. Come one in, young man!” He said cheerfully. Mirio grinned and entered, closing the door behind him. “I have been keeping an eye on you. You are a wonderful student and I’m sure you will be the top hero in no time at all!” All Might praised the boy. “You’re too kind, sir. I just wanna make everyone smile.” He chuckled sheepishly.
All Might hummed. “But its that exact mindset that has led me to decide that you are worthy of something very important.” He informed Mirio, earning a surprised look. “What is it?”
The elder man took a deep breath. He started to explain how his own quirk works and how he had inherited it from someone else. Soon, he plucked out a long golden strand of his hair. “I was blessed with this power, and now, I wish to bless you. You are a wonderful hero, young Togata. I know you will accomplish so much.” He said with a proud smile. Mirio’s eyes widened. “Is…Is this the reason you’ve been hanging around me for the past few months?” He stammered. All Might nodded. “I was informed you would be an excellent candidate and I was not disappointed in the least.” Mirio teared up at the words from the number one hero of Japan. He quickly wiped his tears. “Thank you so much for this opportunity, sir!” Mirio exclaimed, bowing. “None of that nonsense! Are you in?” All Might asked. Mirio straightened up and nodded. “Yes, sir! So…what’s the hair for?” He asked, pointing at the strand. All Might grinned. “Eat this.” He said, earning a confused look. After the exchange, All Might sent the boy off to return to his studies. He sighed and pulled out his phone to text his old sidekick, informing him that the deed was done. Suddenly, Mirio popped his head in again, this time, through the wall. “Heyo, All Might! You asked to see me? Sorry I’m late. There was a girl who asked me to help get her kitten out of a tree.” He chuckled. All Might stared in confusion. “Y-You were just here?” He stammered, earning a confused look. “Uhm…No? I just got here.” Mirio smiled. If this is Mirio Togata, who did he just hand his quirk off to?
All Might paled in horror.
“One for All acquired. You can drop the disguise, Chameleah.” The boy said as he entered the nearest alley way. “Roger that.” A voice chimed from the other side of the line. The boy poofed to a smaller size, blonde hair turning green and blue eyes shifting to a rounder shape.
Izuku smirked as he met up with the green haired girl who had successfully distracted Mirio long enough. “I’ll repay you for your services in time. First and foremost, we need a new hiding spot. I’m sure the Number One Hero is going to have a heart attack when we reunite.” He muttered as Chameleah trailed behind him. “How did you know All Might’s quirk could be given anyways? You never really explained that part.” She asked as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. Izuku smiled as he looked back at her.
“He told me himself.”
~~~
I had a villain Deku AU in the works for so long now and never really posted anything for it until now. I decided to go with a plot point mentioned in the show about Mirio being a candidate to inherit OFA and ran with it here since I haven't seen anyone else try this concept before.
TDDK AU | Call the Soul by Name
Soulmate AU where you only find your soulmate when they call you by your name.
For heroes or those with another alias, it's not uncommon for the hero name/alias to also be the name their soul responds to.
Circumstances may differ for each individual of course.
Sometimes you'll find your soulmate when they say your last name. Sometimes it might be your given name, or a nickname. Sometimes you don't find out until your soulmate has their own nickname for you. Sometimes the 'feeling' - the indescribable sensation many relate to the phenomenon of your soulmate uttering your name - may respond to various names you identify by, but differ in intensity for each.
°°°
Shouto finds out Midoriya is his soulmate during their internship with Endeavor. When Midoriya yells "Shouto-kun!" while throwing his costume case at him.
Which shocks Shouto into stumbling for a split-second - almost getting hit in the face by the  case.
Once they've calmed down afterwards, Shouto convinces himself that, with the sudden rush in battle, he might've mistaken that 'soulmate feeling' for adrenaline. No one's been able to describe how it felt in concrete detail so Shouto isn't exactly sure what he's supposed to look out for.
He decides to save the conversation for another time - after they deal with all the villain attacks.
A plan that is promptly flung into the back burner when chaos erupts and leads to Midoriya leaving UA.
When Shouto finds Midoriya gone, anger at himself and regret for putting off the soulmate talk burns in his chest. If Midoriya knew about the possibility of their connection, would he still have left?
Knowing his self-sacrificing tendencies; probably.
Midoriya would carry the burden of fighting villains by himself to protect everyone. Maybe even more so if there is a soulmate to be kept safe.
And a part of Shouto is angry at Midoriya for that as well.
For not trusting them to have his back. For being so reckless to do this alone. For not letting them share the burden and fight alongside him.
Nevertheless, it fuels his drive to find his soulmate and bring him back.
°°°
Izuku finds out when the 1A comes for him.
When Todoroki yells, calling him 'Deku'.
Todoroki has never called him by his hero name before - it had always been 'Midoriya' even during their internships.
A feeling he can't describe shoots up his spine, almost freezing him in place. His gaze snaps towards sharp heterochromatic eyes and understanding dawns on him.
His resolve wavers for a second.
It's enough to give 1A the opportunity to finally catch him and bring him back.
°°°
Back in UA, Todoroki practically sticks to Midoriya's side the whole time, waiting for the opportunity to start that conversation they needed to have.
As the class slowly and hesitantly goes off to give Midoriya the space to clean up, Todoroki volunteers to get an extra set of clothes for him, then silently stays to wait.
When Midoriya steps out of the showers with that heartbreaking exhaustion that now constantly painted his face, Todoroki silently takes the towel from his hands and gently helps him dry his hair.
A tentative silence settles over them before Midoriya softly asks if he had known about them being soulmates. Todoroki only pauses for a moment before admitting that he hadn't always known, but he'd suspected it since their internship.
Midoriya responds with silence.
And something about it draws honesty from Todoroki's lips -  about how he was convinced that he must've imagined it. About how a part of him chalked it up to wishful thinking. Too good to be true because he didn't expect the universe to grant him a soulmate in the first place - much less someone he felt strongly for.
"I'm glad it's you", Midoriya admits with a small smile.
At Todoroki's surprise, he flushes and ducks his head shyly, muttering about how he sees Todoroki as one of his closest friends, and trusts him wholeheartedly.
After another moment of hesitation, he adds that with everything that's been happening, he'd been too preoccupied to think of soulmates or romantic attractions.
Todoroki starts to pull away, but Midoriya frantically holds onto him. "But, Todo- Shouto-kun!"
Shouto shivers at the prickle of warmth that races underneath his skin.
"Ah, I'm sorry, that was rude, I should've asked first, I'm so--"
"No." Shouto interrupts him. "Say it again. Call me Shouto... please..." he tacks on the last part almost like an afterthought, yet it doesn't dampen the expectant look on his face.
"S-Shouto-kun...?" Midoriya acquiesces, jaw dropping at the blush it draws out from the usually reserved.
"It feels warm..." Shouto muses.
Midoriya really can't help but stare.
"I can imagine falling for you easily." He blurts out. His cheeks redden at the horrifyingly honest declaration.
He doesn't take it back though.
Shouto tenses despite how fast his heart pounds. "You don't have to-"
Midoriya shakes his head, "I'm not just saying that... you're... you're incredible, Shouto. You're so strong in many ways. And so kind. You're amazing." He ducks his head, anxiously biting his lip. "I want to try this soulmate thing... if you want--"
"Yes." Shouto breathes out before he could even think about it. "Yes, Mido-- De-- Izuku."
Izuku's eyes widen in surprise and his cheeks turn an endearing darker shade of red. "Oh." He breathes almost reverently. "That sounds better than my hero name."
Shouto's fingers tighten around scarred hands, "Izuku".
The smile that lights up Izuku's face is so radiant Shouto almost chokes out a sob. He hadn't seen that kind of smile from the boy in so long that he eagerly welcomes the burst of affection he had tried to push down before.
"Shouto-kun." Izuku says like a prayer. "Is it selfish? Even when there's so much going on and everyone is in danger and--"
Shouto shakes his head, "it's not selfish to want something good in this shitstorm."
Izuku laughs at his language, "Shouto!"
Shouto's lips quirk up at Izuku's reaction - a far cry from the exhaustion he'd been sporting earlier. "And in any case, I think you, more than anyone, deserve to be a little selfish right now."
Izuku freezes, eyes watering ever so slightly - a glint of hope in the sea of hesitation. As if the idea of something positive seemed impossible to reach for but desperately wanting to leap for it. "Can I... can we really...?"
Shouto leans his forehead against Izuku's - their noses touching. "Yes, if that's what you want."
"Do you? Want this too?" Izuku's scarred fingers trembled in Shouto's grip.
"Yes." He repeats without hesitation.
Izuku's tone softens even more. "Can you give me time? To fall for you?"
"You can have forever if you need it." Shouto responds so earnestly that Izuku can't help but chuckle.
He leans more against the taller boy, trusting him to support his weight as tiredness ladens his limbs despite the way his chest flutters with bliss.
"That's a lot of time," he rests his ear against Shouto's chest, listening to the sound of his heartbeat.
Shouto presses his cheek against Izuku's damp locks, "I'll wait."
Izuku's face grows warmer, but his smile doesn't waver even as he feels the beat of his heart racing ever so slightly to catch up to the rhythm of Shouto's.
There's still more they need to talk about later on.
But Izuku's pretty certain of one thing.
"I don't need that long, Shouto-kun."
I haven’t actively stayed up to date with My Hero since, like, volume 19, but hearing that it’s coming to an end has me thinking about fic ideas that I never ended up writing. And I know I technically still could write them (fandom doesn’t end when the source material does!), but I also know that I probably won’t, especially ones that would involve probably rewriting how canon ended.
But that said, I still wanted to talk about my favorite bkdk fic that I’ll never write.
So, the start has a villain whose quirk is sending people into alternate dimensions. Deku and Bakugo end up fighting her and getting sent to an alternate dimension. The time period is kind of up for interpretation, but it’s obviously pre-final showdown but after Bakugo’s apology.
At first, things seem mostly the same, but they quickly find out there are a bunch of major differences which stem from one difference from their universe: AU!Izuku has his dad’s quirk.
He can breathe fire and is super powerful with it. He and AU!Bakugo are also dating and attached at the hip. They’re constantly pushing each other and talking about being the ultimate hero duo.
Seeing it is super hard for Deku, who is basically lamenting about how easy things could have been,
Meanwhile, Bakugo can’t stand these versions of them, and he keeps getting more and more pissed that Izuku seems to envy them because he doesn’t think they’re good people.
When they first meet their alternate selves, they’re kind of working together to get sent back home, but they’re also keeping a low profile. They realize that AU!Izuku never got OFA, so they want to keep that a secret. That said, they also find out that AFO has already been defeated by Mirio and some other heroes.
It’s a hard thing to take because Deku starts thinking about how him getting OFA ended up with an ongoing conflict.
However, they find out other things. For example, Ida got killed when he went after Stain.
In this universe, Deku never made friends with Ida and had a different internship, so he was never able to pitch in. He and Todoroki never becoming friends also led to him choosing a different agency to intern at.
As they explore more, they realize that their alternate selves aren’t friends with anyone in class. They both kind of have Bakugo’s old attitude that they’re the best and no one else can reach them. Even though AU!Izuku sometimes says things that are reminiscent of things our Deku would say, it’s obvious that he’s very different.
They end up having to fight their alternate selves for reasons (I never locked down why), and they’re losing badly. To protect the secret of OFA, Izuku pretended he inherited his mom’s quirk by only using float, so it’s the only thing he’s using.
The alternate versions of themselves fight together flawlessly. AU!Izuku uses his quirk to keep AU!Bakugo sweating, and they have obviously practiced fighting together.
Bakugo sees Izuku starting to give up and finally loses it and just starts screaming at him. He’s asking, “Is that who you want to be? Do you really wish we were them?” He then starts yelling at alternative them. He asks AU!Izuku, “Do you even realize that he doesn’t love you? He hasn’t learned how yet! If you got hurt or lost your quirk, he wouldn’t even be able to look at you! He’s too busy having his head shoved up his ass!” Then he turns on AU!Bakugo and really loses it. “You’re so full of yourself! The world doesn’t revolve around you! You aren’t the best hero yet! Hell, the way you are now, you never will be! You’re a spoiled brat who’s never learned any humility! You don’t even understand why heroes are important! All you care about is your own ego! You’ll never be worth anything until you learn to see the value in others!”
He then turns back to Izuku, almost whispering, “Have you even paid attention to their news? The crime rate is up. There are new threats every day. They got the villain, but they didn’t stop the problem.”
Izuku realizes what he means. They have a chance to do better. Their war might be taking longer, but they have a chance to end it better.
They have a chance to be better versions of themselves.
They manage to defeat their alternate versions just in time to get sent back home.
After they’re back and did their report of what happened they’re able to talk.
Izuku tells him that he’s glad they aren’t like those two. Kacchan saw what he didn’t. He was jealous of how easy their relationship was, but he hadn’t really thought about what they’d gained from all the strain.
Bakugo apologizes to him as well. He says he’s sorry that no matter what universe he’s in, he makes life worse for Izuki (bullying in theirs, and making AU!Izuku an egomaniac).
Izuki tells him it doesn’t change that he loves him no matter what universe they’re in.
Bakugo tells him he shouldn’t, but Izuku says there’s nothing he can do to make him stop and he should know that by now. He then tells Kacchan that instead of fighting him about it, he should just keep bettering himself. If he doesn’t think Izuku should love him now, then become someone that he should.
Kacchan doesn’t think he deserves Izuku’s love, but he had already planned on spending the rest of his life atoning for how he treated Izuku, so they’re at least on the same page there.
It ends with Izuku telling Bakugo to let him know when he’s ready to actually receive his love, it’ll be waiting for him when he is. Until then, they can just keep pushing each other to be better.
Bakugo doesn’t know if he’ll ever be ready, but he’ll never stop trying.
So, they end knowing each other’s feelings and understanding each other better. They also have the possibility of a future together.
So, yeah, that's my favorite mha fic that I never wrote. If something like it already exists, please feel free to link me to it!
ABBY Whats your absolute fave BNHA fics of all fucking time
HARD QUESTION
Okay, I havent really read any bnha in like 2 years, and i hadnt bookmarked any (because at the time I was reading I just didnt utilize the bookmark function. I'm working on fixing that lol) so here is an incomplete list off the top if my head in no particular order
Pretty much anything by @anonymoustwit . Especially the Hero Sense au. Certain people, regardless of quirks, can sense when people are in or going to be in danger. (Deku, bakugo, all might, and todoroki ((and others)) developed this ability. It's not the main focus of all the fics in the series, but it's often there in the background) They're excellent Bakugo fics.
Synapse by WynterTwylight. Space au. But also cyberspace. Deku and Bakugo are drift compatible (but it's not a Pacific rim au). Honestly it's been long enough I dont remember a lot of details but I know it's good
What we lost to the fire. Au where Hisashi is endeavour's brother and little izuku has to live with the todoroki's , meanwhile the bakugos are trying to adopt him (and everyone else is searching for Hisashi who killed inko)
I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME FIND THIS FIC. EDIT: THANKS TO @granny-griffin FOR FINDING THE FIC . With(out) you - Villains break into one of class A's practical classes to kidnap izuku. They run away though when allmight shows up. But izuku got paralyzed from one of the villains quirks, but all might thinks he's dead for a little bit
Momo and bakugo switch quirks (not the actual title becasue the title is really long but that's the gist of the fic lol)
Nightmare house (fanfiction.net) the first mha fic I ever read. Izuku and a few other members of class 1a take shelter in a cabin after helping to capture some villains, but find out that the house isnt so safe and amy end up killing them.
A letter to me. Time travel fic where villains go after the young versions of deku and bakugo so class 1a steps in to save them
(I think theres another time travel fic I like. But I cant remember enough details to look for it)
Once forgotten, twice removed. Izuku gets transported to an alternate related where he works for AFO and wants him to kill all might. Alternate universe shenanigans
[Edit] HECK I FORGOT ONE
If all of these dreams might find their way into my day to day scene. Class 1a gets aizawa to run their hero agency. He goes to hero con to support them (half a social media fic)
I would love to see more of The Buddy System thing, where bakugou thinks he has to basically babysit izuku; meanwhile, all he's doing is just talking over him and taking credit for everything.
Previous post: https://aconstantstateofbladerunner.tumblr.com/post/710108569392054272/if-youre-still-doing-the-ask-game-an-au-where#notes
My mind naturally drifted to a very Cain-like scenario so forgive me.
Izuku’s pre-ua training ends up very similar to Cain, with Katsuki tagging along and cleaning the beach alongside him. Difference is that he spends most of his time ‘babysitting’ Izuku, trying to cut him off when he tries to move something he doesn’t think he can handle, or generally trying to talk him out of the whole operation. He also has no idea that the weird skeleton man overseeing them is All Might so Katsuki isn’t trying to prove anything other than that Izuku is wasting his time. A quirkless person can’t be a hero, no matter how hard they train.
Katsuki does also try to separate izuku and all might via Inko, telling her some weirdo is making her son pick up trash. Yagi’s cover story is that he’s an old quirkless personal trainer that believes in Izuku’s ambition, but Bakugou assumes he’s a creep trying to take advantage of weak, gullible Izuku. She assumed Katsuki was Izuku’s only friend and that his quiet demeanor was a result of everyone else bullying him for being quirkless, Katsuki’s words of course. Words Izuku never refuted. However, Katsuki’s constant trying to insert himself into Midoriya business as if he has authority over him, not to mention how much more Izuku perks up when it’s just Yagi there, gets some gears turning in Inko’s head about what’s really been going on all these years.
Katsuki almost makes a scene at the entrance exams. He finds Aizawa looking over orientation and warns him that weakling Izuku will die if they let him try out. Katsuki also strong-armed Izuku into applying for gen-ed so he could still keep an eye on him at UA. He makes a scene for real when he doesn’t find Izuku waiting for him outside the front gates like he told him to after. He goes straight to the Midoriya apartment and demands to be let in, ranting at Inko about how stupid Deku ditched him and could have gotten attacked by a villain again without Katsuki to protect him. But Izuku isn’t there. He stayed at UA a little longer to get treatment for his injuries. Inko calmly but firmly asks him to leave, telling him that she plans to call him mother to make sure he goes home.
That doesn’t stop him from chewing a numb Izuku out when they go back to school. Double so when they get their acceptance letters. Katsuki runs the gambit of emotions, from rage that Izuku has been faking being quirkless all this time just to waste his time, to betrayal that he did the exam behind his back when Katsuki told him not to. Izuku finally asks for one good reason he should do what he says. Katsuki tries to argue that Izuku doesn’t know what’s good for him, to which Izuku counters that quirklessness isn’t tied to intelligence. But what about everything Katsuki has done for him? Like isolate him? Manipulate him? Call him worthless every day of the week like he’s doing him a favor? Izuku declares that he has someone who believes in him for real now, and that he doesn’t need Katsuki anymore. Not that he ever did. And Katsuki uses his quirk on Izuku for the first time since they were children, blasting him in the side of the head. Then he runs away.
In an unprecedented power move, Izuku, sporting a new haircut to get rid of the singed ends, pretends not to know Katsuki on the first day of class. It’s not a particularly convincing act, but it’s enough to set everyone else on edge about Katsuki’s attempts to reestablish their dynamic. When the other kids try and step in, he accuses him of replacing him. That shifts to yelling about how he could have gotten in to UA without a quirk. Everyone else that was in Izuku’s exam group act like Katsuki is that much crazier. When he finally sees Izuku’s new quirk for himself, he again shouts about being lied to for ten years. Izuku whispers that maybe he did.
MHA Fics
This is a list of MHA fics I like on AO3, if you have any recs for me feel free to send me some!
Most of these are focused around Deku, so I tried to categorize as best I could. Also some have ships and some don’t.
I have a separate post for tododeku here.
I have a separate post for bakudeku here.
Updated 2/2/25
Vigilante Deku
the Quirkless Vigilante: Seishin by Tired_And_G4y
~When Izuku Midoriya becomes the vigilante Seishin and ends uo running into a injured Erasure Head what will he do? And what will he do when he keeps running into the hero in and out of uniform? Will the hero help or arrest him?~
Green Lightning ReachingForStars152
~After the emergence of quirks, the official definition of 'vigilante' changed to match it.
"Vigilante: Someone who illegally uses their quirk to fight villains without a hero license."
...So, then, wouldn’t it technically not be illegal if you didn’t have a quirk?~
~“I—“ Izuku hesitated, gaping wordlessly, before admitting softly. “I don’t know. I just don’t want to go home. There’s nothing for me, there.”
“So you filled this hole by playing detective— And how long is that going to last, I wonder?” Stain replied, still massaging his chin. “But you— You have potential.”
Izuku blinked at Stain’s chest, before looking up. “Excuse me?”~
Pied Piper by Blackholeca
~If they wouldn’t give him a chance then the solution seemed simple, he’d give himself one. He’d force the world to see him, force them to recognize his hard work. He wasn’t missing a quirk, it was simply that everyone else had been given an advantage. He wasn’t broken, or useless, or incapable, and he’d prove it by outrunning all of them, he who was quirkless, he who had started in last.~
Sour - past Touya/OC (NSFW)
Tumblr media
tags/TWs \\ References to Underage, Reference to grooming, Spit Kink, mention of vomit, Alcohol Abuse/Alcoholism, Post-Canon, Deku is dead and the villains won, Touya survived
Villain!Eun AU. She once loved him, so Touya could be the key to getting Eun back, but it's easy to forget or dismiss the damage done when you "date" a 16 year old girl as a 24 year old man. Now 18, Eun isn't the girl he knew. (AO3)
Eun ran her tongue from palm to pinky, collecting the lime juice that had dripped from her lips. She set her shot glass on the bar with the others, leftover salt from the rims crackling beneath it, then picked up the next one. She paused a moment to stare down at the clear liquor with eyes so heavy-lidded she looked as tired as she felt, but the good parts of her soul needed a little more drowning to shut them up, so she threw it back, not bothering with a chaser. No flinch, even if it did burn all the way down.
As she reached for the last glass, she felt warmth at her back as two long arms appeared in her periphery, easily reaching around her to grab the bar, effectively locking her in place. Lips pressed to the shell of her ear, further heating her booze-warmed body.
“I never took you for a tequila girl,” came the low, raspy voice of Dabi—Touya Todoroki. His leather jacket creaked as he unbent, tilting his head to see at least part of her face. She was flushed, but no more than when he’d walked in. Rather than turn, to see his face, she flagged the bartender for three more shots. He nodded, but she knew if she were anyone else, he would have cut her off.
“What do you want?” she asked coldly.
“Just thought you’d want to know I survived your little trick.”
“Yeah. I saw.”
“You don’t seem surprised.”
“If I wanted you dead, you would be.”
“You dropped a building on me.”
She heard his smirk and couldn’t help the upward tick in the corner of her mouth. Her gaze dropped to the glass as she picked it up, then she sat back a bit, the small distance all she had before her shoulders met the wall of his body. She closed her eyes and stuck her tongue out to lick along the rim, collecting as much salt as she could. When she tilted her head back to down the shot, her black, glassy gaze bore into his, her expression uninterested while the light in her eyes almost appeared heart shaped. She swallowed and he saw the bob of her throat, but then his eyes drifted lower to the hemline of her tank top where a small dark bruise had freshly formed on the top of her breast.
Fuck.
He quickly resettled his eyes on her face, which was now facing him fully as she kept her head rested on his shoulder. The little quirk of her lips was gone, leaving her emotions unreadable even to him. After a brief silence between them, she spoke first.
“Are you going to cage me all night or sit down?” she asked dully.
“We both know the second I move, you’ll use an illusion and escape,” he said. She studied him for a moment, then sighed and leaned forward again, turning away.
“No, I won’t.” The bartender set down her trio of shots and went to clearing away the rest. “I’m not done drinking.”
Touya stared at the back of her head and contemplated dragging her out of the shitty villain bar. Without a Quirk dampener or shock anklet, there wasn’t a soul inside that could stop him…Except her. The fight wasn’t worth it, so he sighed and made his way to the empty stool beside her and pulled it right next to her before sitting. Well, all the stools were empty. None of the other patrons sat at the bar with her. He glanced behind at the tables of people talking quietly amongst themselves, and no one looked in their direction.
He looked at her next, letting his eyes trail up the entire length of her body, from her feet to her cute, little nose. Even hunched, he could see how long and tall she was, especially her legs, which were no longer covered by joggers. He remembered hating the sweatpants after seeing her in nothing, wishing she’d wear a skirt like she did at school. The thought skeeved him out now; Dabi could ignore the whole age thing, but shame had introduced itself to Touya.
Even though she was an adult now, he found himself preferring joggers and oversized t-shirts over her current getup. She wore thin, dark grey leggings with torn knees and shiny black hotpants. The black tank top was lowcut and just as skintight as the rest, giving the illusion of more cleavage and leaving little to the imagination, including the fact she was braless. Gone were her sneakers too, replaced with boots that had seen better days.
He let his gaze wander once more before seeing the bruise again. His eyes narrowed and flicked up to her face, which paid more mind to her next shot than him. He watched her lick the rim again before downing it, then biting into her last slice of lime, the juice dripping down her chin as it had before. Before she could wipe it away, he reached over and grabbed her chin to smear it with his thumb, just to get her to look at him for real. She didn’t look surprised and made no move to pull away, just stared at him. Tired. Gone.
“Eun,” he said softly, his thumb moving to her bottom lip. He pressed gently, nearly mesmerized by the glossy pink flesh, wet from the lime. He wanted the stars back, the way her black eyes would light up when he showed her affection, a surprisingly adorable reprieve from the darkness. But when he looked into her eyes again, there was still nothing there. He pulled her lip down a bit before letting it go and retracting his hand.
“What are you doing here?” he asked, voice low and brow furrowing. “What are either of us doing here? You should be at home, not throwing back shots in the slums like it’s all you’ve got left.”
“Oh? And where should you be?” she asked, her blank expression unchanging.
“With you,” he said, without thinking.
She laughed once, humorless, then scoffed and looked forward again. Three more fingers, the bartender nodded and cleared the old, not sparing Touya a glance. He watched her, trying not to be hurt by her reaction, but his heart had grown 3 sizes since they met almost two years before. She waited for her drinks before responding, pointedly doing her next shot without salt or the lime, and even more pointedly, slamming it on the bar dangerously close to where his hand rested. She turned on her stool and slammed her boot into the stool between his legs, forcing it backward and actually startling him.
Finally, she showed an emotion, but it wasn’t one he wanted. She seethed at him and bared her teeth.
“I don’t need saving, and I sure as fuck don’t need you. The only reason that building didn’t crush you is because I didn’t want it to, but not because I have feelings or some bullshit. Not for you.”
“So, it’s true…” he said quietly. She faltered, confused, then looked more pissed than before, if that was possible.
“What is?” she asked.
“When you stabbed Mr. Anger Management, you missed on purpose. You could have killed my little bro too, but you didn’t. Just like Uncle said.” She opened her mouth to argue, but then snapped shut. She sat a little straighter.
“Uncle is here?” she asked, suddenly incredibly calm. “Where?”
“Can’t say,” he said, then added, “Don’t know.”
“Bullshit.”
“Really, Eun. He comes and goes.”
She gave him a once over with a look as though he were dogshit on her shoe, then turned again and got off her stool, boots thudding heavily on the creaky wood. The bar had gone silent, the other patrons staring down at their drinks as they waited for the storm to pass. Without sparing Touya another glance, she reached over and grabbed the last two shot glasses, then turned heel, and marched for the door, unimpeded by anyone.
Once her figure had disappeared out the door and into the rainy night, the low din of the bar returned as relief washed over everyone. The bartender clicked his tongue and mumbled about not paying, so Touya pulled a stack of cash from his pocket and slid it to him, earning a surprised but elated look. He got to his feet, waving off the man’s gratitude—it was his dad’s money anyway.
Lightning cracked when he set foot outside, lighting up the vacant street and all the connected alleys. Touya squinted through the heavy rain and looked both ways for her. It didn’t take long to find her thanks to her dirty blonde hair catching the light from one of the working streetlamps. He jogged lightly to catch up, then slowed to a brisk walk once a little closer. She was hunched with her arms crossed, fuming for reasons he wasn’t quite sure yet. Luckily, she wasn’t going as fast as she could, so he caught up to her just as she turned into an alley.
“Fuck off,” she said once he was close.
“Eun, please. Just talk to me.”
“Eat shit.”
“Wait a fucking second.” He grabbed her arm suddenly and yanked her back, his Quirk flaring for just a moment, enough to light up her face as she spun around. The rain running down her face looked like tears, her hair glued to her forehead or pushed behind her ears, leaving her eyes wide open for him. She looked surprised rather than angry, but that changed when the blue fire died away, leaving them in shadow again.
“What do you want?” she spat. She ripped her wrist from his hand and shoved his chest with surprising strength.
“I’m trying to tell you, it’s okay to come home! They’ve been trying to tell you sorry, but you’re too stubborn to listen! You don’t have to work for that dusty ass, you don’t have to be a villain!” The irony of his own words made him sick, but he needed to get through to her. The others were so sure he could, that he might be the only one who could, but that was proving incorrect. She stared at him for a long while, the whites of her eyes almost glowing in the dark. Slowly, she spoke again.
“I’m where I want to be,” she said quietly, “And it’s not with you, or with them.”
“It’s Shigaraki, then?” he said, the sharp edge of jealousy leaking out. She clenched her jaw, not going to qualify the accusation with an answer, but then he was in her face, one hand on her shoulder and the other holding her hip. She didn’t move away or flinch, not even when his fingers dug into her flesh, shaking ever so slightly with anger. His hand drifted from her shoulder to her neck, then her throat where it tightened, jerking her even closer to him. She was only an inch or so shorter than him, but his boots gave him a couple extra, making him look down at her just a bit. Her lips parted in a small, silent gasp, her eyes widening as he leaned closer, his own lips drifting closer to hers.
Then he relaxed his shoulders a bit and let go of her throat to run his hand down her chest, fingertips grazing over her collarbones on their way to the top of her breast, where they lingered and pressed lightly on that damned bruise. Her breathing stopped, knowing exactly what he was touching.
“It’s Shigaraki,” he repeated, almost whispering, “It’s this. That’s why you’re here.”
“…What are you saying?” she asked, barely breathing.
“You let him touch you,” he accused, “More than that?”
Suddenly, the wide-eyed girl with a cute little nose and pretty lips, the one who kissed him earnestly after he’d been such an ass, the one who still cared for her friends despite all the agony life threw at her, that girl was gone.
In the moment her face darkened, and her fangs returned, when her third eye shot open and glowed red, he felt his limbs wrench from his body, saw them bounce off the gritty alley walls on either side of them. His guts lurched as he was pushed back by an invisible but incredible force, his feet leaving drag marks in the ground, then the force was gone and he fell to his knees, barely catching himself on instinct as he emptied his stomach on the concrete. As he huffed, vision swimming, it dawned on him that he still had his arms and legs, even though the pain had been real. He coughed, more spittle joining the puddle, then leaned back on his legs so he could look up at her. She was staring down her nose at him, third eye slowly closing again.
“I let him touch me. I let him fuck me too, and sometimes we cuddle, and I pretend it’s love. But you know that already, because I’m just a stupid little girl who will lay down for any older man who shows me attention, right? Spit in my mouth. Praise me. Degrade me. Show me what I’ve been missing. And I’ll call him daddy because daddy issues are hot. Pun fucking intended, you fucking asshole.”
Her boot collided with the center of his chest, sending him onto his back. He felt his heel hit the mess he’d expelled moments before and grimaced. Thud. Thud. She slowly approached, each foot on either side of his waist when she stopped. Then, he grunted as she aggressively sat on his aching stomach. Rain hit his face, his eyes stinging with each thick drop. She grabbed his face with her hand, index and thumb pressing into the lines where the healers removed his staples and tried to fix his scars. She kept pressing until his jaw was forced to open, then leaned forward, knees on the ground, and eyes boring into his. She blocked out the rain and that was when he saw it, a little bit of light in those endless black irises. It glowed red, but it was something in the abyss. He tried to smile, but her fingers were pressing into the hinges of his jaw too hard. She was hurting him…
Eun loudly cleared her throat and, with a sneer, spat the glob into his open mouth. She forced his jaw shut, making his teeth clack, and smirked as she pressed her palm over his lips.
“Swallow for me, baby,” she purred, “You’re so good at it.”
He swallowed it and felt it slide down his throat. The sensation went straight to his cock, which was already twitching from her grabbing his face like that. She got to her feet and walked toward the street, purposely stepping close to his head like she might stomp it. He listened to her receding footsteps, barely hearing them over his own panting. Fuck.
“You…you said you liked it…You said you…loved me,” he forced out, straining to speak loudly. His entire body was sore from her attack, like the aftermath of having the wind knocked out of him by a tank. She paused at the end of the alley.
“I do,” she said, “And I did love you, really. But then I grew up.”
He wasn’t the man for the job, after all. Touya smiled to himself as he heard her leave and thanked the rain for washing away the blood running down his cheek and cooling the burning shame on his skin.
Thanks for reading! I hope there's enough context here, and I think I got enough warnings in. There is an epilogue as well, "No Love Among Villains."
He had a family? Good to know that some evil deity hadn't touched the ground with its scepter and proclaimed ''There shall be a terrifying force of nature,'' with All for One springing into existence, fully formed, wearing a bespoke suit, and already stealing quirks and ruining lives.
You have to make an anyone AU where this is actually how AFo and Yoichi were born. Imagine Izuku not even realizing he's half demon. "what do you mean water that comes out of the sink isn't made of fire? At least try to come up with a convincing lie"
“Even though I have learn to live with being plain quirkless Deku, I intend to steal All Might’s power because I believe I can be a better villain if I have a quirk and unfortunately for All Might, he is the only one with a potentially transferable one. Thoughts?”
“… Midoriya, what do you need a quirk for? The last time your favorite All Might-themed-cartoon episode was cancelled, you spoke in tongues and the TV exploded.”
“That was a faulty wire.”
“All three times?”
“Faulty wires.”
“Bibles catch on fire when you swear upon them.”
“That was static electricity.”
“When you sing, all kind of hellhounds and other beasts run out of the forest.”
“Aldera simply has an important population of quirked strays and I will not tolerate any slander against such good puppies.”
“You can rotate your head at a 90 degrees angle.”
“I took a gym class once when I was eight.”
“Wasn’t there a time when you made a classmate sign a contract in blood in exchange for borrowing your All Might figurine and when he broke it, he fell down some stairs and broke his legs?”
“First, I am an All Might fanboy! You should know how protective we get of our merch! Second, I had nothing to do with that fall, it was just the universe punishing him.”
“You are fireproof.”
“I’m not.”
“You are. You german supplexed my brother while he was on fire. The lamp post next to the both of you had melted but you didn’t have a scratch.”
“I was wearing a really good Thirteen sweatshirt. The quality was simply amazing. I left them an excellent review.”
ShinDeku Soulmate AU with Writing on Oneself Appearing on the other person ?
 You know Deku’s Quirkless right?
 The words appeared on Hitoshi’s skin and he frowned at them. His grandma caught him staring, clearing her throat.
 “Hitoshi?” Chiyo asked her grandson.
 “My soulmate wrote this to me,” Hitoshi offered his arm. “But it doesn’t look like him.” Chiyo took his arm and studied it before a scowl overtook her face.
 “That’s not your soulmate then, that’s a nasty bully.” Chiyo told her grandson. Hitoshi scowled. “Your soulmate is Quirkless, most likely, and they’re being very cruel.”
 “Oh.” Hitoshi huffed and grabbed a marker. He began writing.
 -0-
 Izuku whimpered as Kacchan forced his head up, making him look at his arm as the other kids laughed. They all were betting on if Izuku’s soulmate would say he never wanted to see Izuku or would just not reply.
 “Look! He’s writing!” Cackled one of the guys and Izuku closed his eyes but they were forced open, making him look.
 Says the bully writing this. If you forced this on him your breaking the Soulmate Protection law. So guess what? You’re a villain breaking a law!
 Izuku’s mouth dropped open as the group all gasped, taking steps back. He… he never thought of that. Kacchan was breaking a law doing this!
 “What the fuck?!” Kacchan demanded, letting god of Izuku. Never one to waste an opportunity Izuku ran as fast as he could. He heard Kacchan shout about getting him again but other kids were refusing.
 Izuku glanced at his arm, and a warmth filled him.
 I don’t care he’s Quirkless so leave him alone!
 He liked his soulmate. He liked them a lot.
Villain Deku if not maybe mafia Katsuki au where he falls for his favourite waitress who works at his favourite bar or cafe?
♡ Villain Deku: Café ♡
Hurt/comfort(?)
TW: Blood, injury.
Ask pt 2: Mafia Katsuki
Tumblr media
I will do Mafia Katsuki Later. I am sorry if this is a bit disjointed I wrote half of it a few months back but could only finish it now. I'll get back into my flow in a bit. I might rewrite it later.
______________________________________________________________
It was Eden. How else could one describe it? Walking through your garden, laughter, cute awkward dates s the exquisite smell of fresh baked goods, and of course, most importantly, Coffee. It was not only you, everybody flocked to your Eden because of its life, because of all of the happiness that envelops everything this café creates.
Even now, in your haven, you could feel the familiar snake, slither through its grace, around your legs and beneath you. Crawl up your spine in nerves, discomfort flooding your muscles.
No... No, it was nothing short of danger. It was those damned green eyes again. They followed your every move. As if you were those files he studied daily in your Eden. Yet he sat there, empty-handed, dressed in casual clothes.
You didn't like that you'd have to take his order. A sigh was all it took before you shuffled your feet to where he sat; the strange feeling growing in you as you approached. You didn't miss the way his eyes roved your body as if you were the special cobbler you had baked earlier today. Butterflies growing in your belly, you tried snapping the notepad loudly to rudely awaken him from his thoughts, even though you knew his heated gaze had never left you ever since he had taken a liking to your establishment. Though this wasn't such a subtle look like you were used to.
"Sorry for the busyness of the café today," Your sharp sigh moulded into soft modesty, attempting to excuse your lateness. "The usual?"
His eyes had trailed down to his fingers, which toyed with the metal links holding his rings together in a web, gazed at you with a tilted head. The quiet stare allows sweat to condense onto your neck, the lack of response unnerving you a tad bit more than usual. He wasn't a very quiet man, usually. He was a smiley person, but this... Strange.
He was usual, and he'd always been a bit cartoonish with his exaggerations, and dramatic hand gestures. You found his childishness quite charming in the middle of the chaos of such a busy workplace, there was something so entertaining about him, that you found yourself waiting for him.
It felt different when he gazed at you, though. When you weren't close to him when he wasn't talking, you could feel his gaze, broiling your skin, as if it were tree branches scratching you, suddenly you didn't feel like you were a nymph in your haven, a human in angelic embrace.
You felt an apple, hanging in the branches.
But there really wasn't any reason to feel this way. He was sweet, charming, so child-like in his innocence that there was no reason for the hair on the back of your neck to stand, or the shaking of your hands however slight. So you pulled on a smile, when he ordered you tried to be quick, you didn't know why he made you so nervous.
Your friends didn't make it easy, either, insisting that it was because you liked him. You must've, right?! Otherwise, what was it? What would make your heartbeat so hard? Or make you stumble through your sentences with sweat on your brow? It was a crush! You must be head over heels!
And his eyes still followed your step.
You shook your head slightly, pushing away thoughts like that away from your mind. There really was no reason for this, maybe you liked him a little bit, or so everyone was convinced you were; But that did not take away from your ability to keep the peace and do the job you love so dearly. Especially when he smiled softly at you, "Definitely, you're so sweet to remember."
You rolled your eyes, giving him a smile, "You know we love you here. How can I not remember my favourite customer?"
You didn't realize what had been happening around you. You didn't know the impact of his presence around you. Regulars who'd playfully flirt with you disappearing, bodies of people you knew finding themselves underneath rubble during villain attacks, too wrapped up in your little dream to realize the nightmare brewing outside. You may not have been aware of you.
But he was aware of you.
Only when your Haven felt... normal, did you feel the strange tingles on your spine again. Not the same way that he made your skin bust with delicious electricity, it felt empty. All of it felt empty.
You'd look around for him but he wasn't visiting you any longer. No snake to threaten your Eden, no green-haired man to smile so genuinely at you and blush at every sweet word you send his way. You didn't expect to miss him all of a sudden. You'd even kept the shop open late at night, waiting at the stand looking at the doors awaiting him to burst through for his late-night coffee runs. Even if you knew that your neighbourhood was becoming increasingly dangerous lately.
But nope. He had not come for you. You didn't think too much of it, or at least you tried not to, you asked around at first, though no one could tell you anything of him, no one seemed to know who you were talking about at all.
Until the late-night closings, you'd pushed farther than was allowed served you who you'd wanted.
A curly green-haired giant of a man, sweet, tired laughter falling from his lips while he clutched his side tightly. You would have been elated. Had he not been dripping blood all over your floor. Your gasp echoed in the empty café when the door shut closed behind him, bloody handprint marking the glass. "Freckles?"
He'd refused to give you his name, then it was strange but endearing. Now, as you rushed to his side, it felt slightly embarrassing. He looked at you, the swirling emerald glinting in the fake candlelight, "Hello, gorgeous... Sorry to drop in so unexpected."
It would have been sweet had he not been wheezing his words out. "We need to get you to a hospital!" Your frantic voice was raising in volume, he shook his head slowly, obviously dizzy, and dropped his arms around you.
"No...Hospital..." You hadn't realized he'd fallen unconcious until you felt his entire weight thrown onto your undoubtedly tiny self when in comparison. There had been no way in hell you'd have been able to hold him had he been half as small. Now? You cursed lowly as he toppled over you, trying your best to hold yourself up though it ultimately ended up with his mountain self ontop of yours, face fallen in the crook of your neck.
Rom-coms made it all so romantic and angsty, though the most angsty part of this interaction had been you attempting to pull yourself from underneath him while feeling his sticky warm blood soaked your clothes and onto your skin, slipping multiple times as the pool grew more and more.
You yourself were lucky to be born with a quirk useful in healing, though it was nothing compared to actual hospitalization, You tried to heal his wounds, pressing the wound— After a year of trying to flip him so you could actually inspect it, you'd done a crude job, but he was bleeding less. You had ran to grab the bourbon that you'd use to make coffee's Irish at times and popped open the bottle. "This is going to hurt," Your voice was soft in the still, warm room.
You tipped your head up and gulped down some of it, cringing at the taste as you poured it onto his wound. He made a noise. At least that was good.
Then his eyes began to flutter.
You were quick to place his head upon your blood-soaked lap, trying to lift his head and give him some water. You'd been quick and precise when you were healing him, though your mind sounded like the grinch doing yoga with the absolute panic that was zipping through you. "Come on, come on, please just drink."
His eyes half-lidded and clearly lightheaded, he allowed you to pour the water into his mouth, but you ignored the water pouring from the corner of his mouth, the moment he'd been done, he looked up at you. In the soft candlelight of the café, he looked absolutely beautiful and had he not bled through your hardwood floor you would have liked to appreciate the sight a bit more.
It didn't occur to you how angelic you looked. The light formed a halo around you in his blurred gaze. He was tired, he was sure he was bleeding out, but he could only look at you, and the fact that he couldn't sit up and kiss you.
"My angel," He mused softly, though you thought it ironic at that moment, you did not realize how true it was to him.
"Is anyone coming to help?" You tried to sound comforting, not knowing how to reply to him at all. You would have to call an ambulance eventually, right? He relaxed your mind, nodding softly.
"You're worried." He hummed, and it made you smile through your slow tears.
"Of course,"
You thought he was delirious, as he continued to murmur the same, over and over again. You placed your fingertips onto his lips to calm him, though you cursed yourself for not being able to wash off the blood before doing that.
He didn't mind. Kissing your fingertips, he felt an absolute euphoria that even the highest amount of morphine could not provide.
It worried you that he practically purred at this. Maybe you should be concerned that he seemed to love that you were covered in his blood even more.
It would have worried you more if you knew what he really wanted to say at the moment.
I love you.
A million questions burned through your mind, but you couldn't say anything, the words falling from your lips at the sight of the soft content look on his face. So you stayed. You cradled him and helped his comrades when they came to take him with them.
Then you sat there. In a pool of his blood. Wondering what the absolute fuck just happened.
You, sweet angel, were his. You didn't realize at that moment, with his blood around your fingers, his eyes had only seen a ring on them. You didn't know you were his from the moment your eyes met the day he entered your little Eden.
Because the Devil doesn't bargain. He takes what is his.
For your head canon game
A reversal au where izuku is the one who mentors toshinori through ua, and tenko takes in Afo who is disillusioned by the society. Age swap of course. Feel free to move around anyone else you want, but I don’t really want another time travel thing please.
Tenko is a member of a long line of villains controlling the underground, descended from a mysterious figure born on that dawn of Quirks. Unknown to him, said person is in fact Destro's father, and he and Yotsubashi are cousins. Destro was not aware his father was a criminal mastermind, though his mother was and made a runner with him; Tenko's grandfather was from his second marriage.
Midoriya Izuku was the first Quirkless hero, and is training Toshinori to be the second (he was always a bit disappointed no one has previously wanted to follow in his footsteps, especially since he's the Number One hero). He and Tenko have a mutual loathing following an incident in their early twenties.
All For One's entire family was killed when a hero fucked up a rescue attempt. That hero was actually Bakugou, early on in his career and not yet quite as cautious as he should have been. It's one of his great regrets in his career, but he's also too proud to admit it. It's also part of why he's never managed to surpass Izuku in the charts (if he'd at least admit to regretting it they would have allowed him to go above five). Toshinori's adoptive mother was still Nana here, who outlived her son Kotaru (killed in a car crash).
All For One and Toshinori hate each other on sight, since All For One knows Deku is his 'Sensei's' worst enemy and the man who killed him nearly six years earlier, and Toshinori quickly picks up that All For One's 'Sensei' is a still living Tenko.
Kamino Ward is only marginally less destructive here, and the kidnapped student was Enji.
[ I present for your reading pleasure, a Tenko!Hero AU series. This features Tenko Shimura or "Tomura Shigaraki" as the rescue hero Deterior who aspires to become a front-line hero like his father, Toshinori Yagi. But things aren't going as well as he would have hoped, and despite receiving constant encouragement from his fellow hero Deku and his caretaker, Oboro Shirakumo he continues to believe he is nothing short of a failure. This belief only continues to grow when you, the reader, keep giving him a hard time. Yes, it's not easy being one of the newer villains on the scene. But you had your reasons for succumbing to the villainous side and when Tenko begins to find out said reasons, his fellow heroes try to convince him that he is the only one that can save you. ]
Tumblr media
[ Chapter One Summary: Izuku and Tenko are hot on your tail after you steal some goods. Izuku gives Tenko the opportunity to try and confront you by himself. But after a quick fight, you manage to escape leaving him feeling like a failure. Izuku tries to offer him some kind words before the two of them call it a day. ]
The gentle breeze caressed your hair, and the scent of the honey-crisped summer air made you smile. Your eyes were fixated on the building in front of you, admiring the way the sun cast it in a heavenly glow. It was no wonder why Yuuei High was the number one hero school in Japan.
More importantly, the entrance exams were open for future hero students, and you were determined to pass. After all, it had been your dream to become a hero since you were small, and nothing was going to stop you. And although your stomach was in knots, you took a deep breath.
It was only natural to be nervous, but you had been training for this and your quirk was surely no match against others. “This is what I wanted,” you reminded yourself, watching as your potential future classmates walked past you.
“I see them! They’re heading your way Deterior!” Izuku shouted through his communicator, his quirk activated and illuminating him with a green hue. “Remember what we talked about and don’t worry if they get away, as long as you try, you’re already a hero!” he said with a smile, hoping his words encouraged Tenko.
He could hear the way your laughter echoed through the air as you weaved between buildings with your bag of stolen goods. A wicked smile was on your face, you never felt more alive than when you taunted heroes and committed crimes.
It gave you a certain rush, unlike anything you had ever known. Well, maybe that wasn’t exactly true. There was another time in your life when you felt this type of rush, but it was long behind you and there was no way to recover it.
You frowned, hating the heavy feeling you got in your chest whenever you thought of your past. After landing in an alleyway, you shook your head to get your thoughts straight and proceeded to climb your way onto the rooftop of an unknown building.
Your knee throbbed faintly as it impacted the rough texture of the roof, and you cautiously looked over your shoulder wanting to make sure you outran that hero who freakishly glowed. “Heh,” you smirked in victory and stood on your feet, ready to finish your getaway and sift through your newly obtained goods.
When you turned to walk forward, you heard the faint sounds of someone struggling. You looked to the opposite side of the rooftop where you saw someone’s hands appear. They wore what looked to be specially made gloves and unfortunately you knew exactly who they belonged to.
You crossed your arms with a sigh, feeling the weight of your bag against your hip. You impatiently tapped your foot, watching him topple over the edge of the rooftop, and onto the floor. His pants echoed for a moment or two before he shakily stood on his feet.
You took him in from head to toe. He had long wavy silver hair that reached a little past his shoulders. His hero suit was plain compared to some of the others you had seen. It consisted of a black body suit with accents of red and a long black cape with a hood.
One would assume that the red shoes he wore were specially made but given the fact he had trouble climbing up the building to get to you, that assumption was thrown out the window. In addition, they looked scoffed and beaten as if he had worn them for years.
He cleared his throat and lifted his head, that’s when you got a good look at his face, which hadn’t changed much from the last time the two of you had run into each other. His eyes were the same shade of red and he still had that same scar over his right eye.
The skin around his eyes appeared wrinkled, but that was nothing a little cream couldn’t fix. His lips appeared slightly chapped and there was another scar across the right side of his lip. On the bottom left side of his face underneath his mouth was a small mole.
“Stop…” he paused, taking another breath. He held his hand out, trying to strike a heroic pose. “Stop right there!” he shouted, making you roll your eyes. You weren’t threatened by heroes, and you especially weren’t threatened by Deterior.
His real name was unknown to you, and even if it wasn't that wouldn't change anything between the two of you. Ignoring his threats, you continued walking. “I said stop or I’ll turn you to dust, damn it!” his words came out in a shaky hiss.
He brought his free hand up, pressing it against the back of his opposite hand. You raised your eyebrow, wondering if he only did that to emphasize the fact his quirk was used to disintegrate whatever he pleased. He certainly didn't have that courageous personality you'd seen in other heroes.
Then again, he only began popping up in the front-line hero scene a few months ago around the same time you made your villain debut and began wreaking havoc on Japan. “Heh,” you smirked and continued forward, stopping when you were a foot or two away from him.
“You really are new to this whole hero thing, aren’t you?” your chuckle immediately irritated him. “Shut up, shut up, shut up!” he snapped, continuing to hold his hands up. ‘I gotta stop them this time, or I won’t hear the end of it from Deku…let alone the rest of the heroes’ he thought, tightening his jaw until he felt it ache.
“Aw, what’s the matter Deterior?” you mocked, circling him like an animal would its prey. He stumbled around, practically bouncing on his feet to keep up with you. “It's sad that we’ve done this whole dance before,” you noted, coming to a pause.
“But sometimes you make it too easy,” you snickered, running to jump over the edge of the roof. “Ah, h-hey!” he stuttered out, dropping his hands to frantically chase after you. He quickly removed his gloves, tossing them behind him without another thought.
You knew it was human nature to underestimate others, and when you felt those hands grab the back of your shirt and forcibly pull you back onto the roof, you panicked. “Shit!” you hissed, dropping your bag and bringing your leg up to kick the so-called hero as hard as you could.
You didn’t need to defeat him now, no. You just needed to get him away from you and remove your shirt as quickly as possible considering you could already feel it begin to disintegrate. Your foot collided with his stomach, causing him to stumble back and fall to the floor, granting you the opportunity to remove your shirt.
The cool bitter air was a welcome consequence and you decided to take advantage of Deterior, knowing he was defenseless now. Although your shirt continued to turn to dust, you held each bottom corner of it and charged at the hero before forcibly wrapping it around his head.
“What are you doing!?” he cried out, but you ignored him and pulled the shirt back with all your strength, forcing him onto his feet again. Acting quickly, you brought your leg back up and delivered a harsh kick to the side of his ribs then ran to grab your bag before jumping over the edge of the roof and out of sight.
He cried out and once again fell to the floor. Hissing, he sat on his knees and clasped the side of his now sore ribs, attempting to massage the pain away. His eyes teared over slightly, although he had a high pain tolerance.
He didn't give a damn if you had broken something, rather he was angry that he had, yet again, let you get away. “Tenko!” came Izuku’s voice from above, making the man look up. Your shirt continued to fall apart even after he tossed it to the floor beside him and quickly wiped his eyes.
He didn’t want to show any weakness in front of Izuku considering he was the successor to his adopted father, Toshinori Yagi also known as the former number one hero, All Might. The fellow hero landed on the roof beside him, cushioning the impact with his hand and knee.
“I was a little w-worried about you Tenko…” he stated, looking at the other with a frown. “Yeah well…” he huffed lowering his hand from his side and turning to glance at your shirt, witnessing as the last of it turned to dust.
“Hm?” Izuku frowned before noticing something was lying on the ground a little way away. Curious, he walked closer and noticed they were the gloves Tenko normally wore. “Huh?” Briefly confused, he looked over his shoulder seeing that the other was still on his knees with a frown on his face.
“Mm…” Izuku knew what was wrong and quickly picked the gloves up and walked back to Tenko, holding them out. “Um, here…you might…n-need these,” he said hearing the other mumble “Mm…” in response. He was half-tempted to smack Izuku’s hand away despite knowing he was only trying to help.
“Thanks…” he snarled, snatching the gloves away and slipping them back on with a sigh. Part of him hated wearing them because they only reminded him of how much further he’d have to go to control his quirk. Izuku took a seat next to him, he hated seeing others unhappy.
“Do you wann-” before he could finish, Tenko threw his arms up and exclaimed, “This on-the-field hero stuff isn’t meant for me!” which caused Izuku's frown to deepen. “Stupid running a-and climbing and the villain got away again!”
He brought his arms back down, slapping his thighs in frustration. “Well, we can-” Izuku would try to reason with him but like his childhood friend Katsuki Bakugou, he knew that when Tenko was worked up, he tended to talk over others.
“Always wanted to be a stupid hero, but this damned quirk is only good for…and sure I like destroying things but jeez! I don’t wanna be a rescue hero all my life for crying out loud!” he yelled, slamming one of his hands against the floor.
He watched Tenko’s face twist with sadness and anger. “I wanted to be like…him,” he said, and Izuku knew exactly who he was referring to and offered a sympathetic smile. “I know,” he replied, reaching over to lay his hand on his friend's shoulder.
“But being a hero isn’t a-about…well the fame,” he said, ignoring the way Tenko rolled his eyes. “I…I wanted to become a h-hero because I wanted to save others,” in fact, that’s what he prided himself in. Even if he got beaten to a pulp saving one person, it was worth it.
“E-even if you feel bad about…um, letting the villain g-get away, there were no casualties today,” he said awkwardly rubbing the back of his head, hoping his words would turn Tenko’s sour mood around. But then again, that wasn't likely.
“Everyone is s-safe and that’s the most important thing, even if…if they g-got away, the valuables they stole can be replaced,” he continued to frown, glaring at Izuku. Yeah, yeah. He knew that he was only trying to cheer him up but come on!
Couldn’t Izuku just let him suffer in his misery? He watched the green-haired boy stand up, finding his smile to be slightly annoying but not as much as that hand that he held out. “Let’s go see your f-father,” he suggested, flexing his fingers.
“Mm…” Tenko mumbled, now glaring at that hand as if it were making some offensive gesture. Normally the only person that held his hand was his sister, Hana. If it was anyone else, it just felt weird and unwanted.
He ignored the offered hand and instead pushed himself off the ground. He didn’t bother brushing away the dirt that covered his person, it's not like he gave a damn about his appearance. He sighed and looked at Izuku with a monotone expression.
“Heh…” the green-haired boy suddenly felt nervous and rubbed the back of his head. “I’m s-sure he can fix this. After all, h-he’s All Might,” Tenko’s eyes somewhat lit up at the man’s name and he nodded walking past Izuku.
‘Yes…he’s All Might’ he thought bitterly before stopping at the edge of the rooftop. “Well?” he impatiently tapped his foot against the floor and glared at Izuku with his arms crossed. “Huh?” he stared at Tenko with a blank expression, unsure of what he wanted.
“Are you going to carry me or not!?” he snapped making Izuku flush. “O-oh! S-sure um…” he ran over and kneeled in front of him, allowing him to climb onto his back. Once he made sure the other had a secure grip, he activated One for All and jumped into the air.
“Oh…and d-don’t forget,” Tenko lifted his head, though he kept his eyes closed. Heights weren’t exactly his favorite thing, and neither was flying. “Touya said h-he was getting closer to them and I’m sure he’ll return with the goods they s-stole today,” he frowned, even Touya was a better hero than him.
Then again, he was the oldest son of the current number-one hero, Endeavor. Of course, he’d have some idea on how to not suck at his job. Then again, Touya worked for the hero commission as a spy. Still, that was more than Tenko had accomplished with his hero career.
