OK I've taken pictures before ironing bc who knows when I'll get round to ironing. Some months ago I fell down a weekend research hole with some antique needlework books and read a Bunch about jacobean embroidery.

And then I drew a rocket. All the stitches are found in actual 16th century embroideries. The flame and tree of life are my own interpretation of designs that were a common motif.

I tried so many different things in this piece, and I can't decide what my favourite part is.

Given the number of Doctor Who references in Good Omens season 2, I'm very curious about the fez in the magic shop. Was that just a coincidence or was it there on purpose specifically for David to mess about with?

A fez in a British magic shop is a reference, not to the Matt Smith years of Doctor Who, but to Comedy Magician Tommy Cooper, for decades the most beloved British Magic icon (even if, or perhaps because, all his tricks went proudly wrong).

David Tennant found the fez on the table and decided to play with it as Crowley during the magic shop scene.

sometimes when i write, i have a visual image so strong i absolutely MUST draw it. this is a scene from "where you don't see me" and i just ache over this idea.

Stan made finger guns in the mirror. His reflection copied the movement. He tried a nerdier pose next, using his index finger to push the glasses farther up his nose like his brother used to do all the time. 

There. 

That was him. 

Stan gave his reflection a half-hearted salute. “There you are, Poindexter,” he said quietly. There was no brother to answer back. Just a cold, foggy mirror and glasses that hadn’t seen proper use in three decades. He was being an idiot. “Good to see you.” 

Stan removed the glasses and hung his head, unable to look any longer.

when you're having a good day and it hits you that stanley probably used to promise himself all the time that he would never become his father and he still unintentionally ended up somewhat looking like and acting like his father, filbrick's suit which was never meant to be his was his signature outfit and everyone had perceived him as a greedy grumpy old man who loves money for most of his life
