“Semi-sad” anon here, sorry I didn’t mean to upset you! I find the lore intriguing and beautiful. Forgive me, I have trouble properly expressing the emotions I mean to convey through text, but I find the sadness beautiful because it means that I am still human, I can empathize/sympathize with your characters. I love the tragedy because it makes me feel “real” or like I’m not a robot. And the modern AU is a little heart throb of joy to see the gay dogs being adorable together.

Ah it's okay! It can be hard to convey tone and subtlety through text. I just hated to think that someone who was already feeling low was getting even sadder just because of my posts! I know the lore that I devise for these dogs can be a little bleak sometimes but I don't want to make people feel actively bad.

At the very bottom of the poster was the phone number, nine times, vertical and cut into strips. Two had been ripped off by the time Nace stopped to read the advert on his way to his exam. He didn’t take one.

But when, two days later, on his way back from a study session, two more had been ripped off, Nace got nervous and just took one too.

In the end, he didn’t text the number until the strip of paper felt waxy beneath his fingertips in his pocket and the last digit was barely visible. But he did text it.

He got a response not three hours later.

Hey Nace, this is Kris from Joker Out! So nice to hear from you. We’d love to meet up with you for a jam session. When are you free for an hour or two this week? - 22:35
