i need to go through all of beast wars uprising and reread it and actually talk about it coherently on here. to be clear i Have Read Beast Wars Uprising, it's just that actually talking about it requires an actual dedicated pass through once you have let the absurdity that is BWU sink in the first time so you can actually discuss what an unhinged part of TF lore it is properly. you know. my goal is still that i want to save some money so i can get a ludicrously expensive handbound version of all the text stories made so that i am the only person in the world who owns a hardbound copy of BWU. i love it. would i 'recommend it'. well that's a difficult question. do i love it though. yes. absolutely. i own a toy i spent Stupid Ass Money On purely bc it is technically a BWU toy. is it '''''good''''. who cares. a character talks in hashtags. it looks at you the reader and is like 'is political terrorism ever REALLY justified...... even in service of a good cause............. lol yeah. anyway' reading it will make you question your sanity. there's a virus that just Makes You Galvatron. eject talks in sports puns and runs the hunger games. he has a son. it's incredible. i need to do a BWU reread so bad god

Hey so a generic with the color scheme of TransMutate was in the race in Transformers One. She has the Not Chromia / Road Rocket cogged bot and alt mode shapes (that is based on IDW1 & T30 Chromia) and thus as a motorcycle is likely a homage to Beast Wars Uprising Trans-Mutate!

really funny 2 us bc thinking she wasn't in the film we put Trans-Mutate in our tf 1 fanfiction as a transfrem autistic dissident philosopher (she/they) who is 1 of 1st transformers 2 volunteer 2 mine w/ miners & support worker rights and later is part of what remains of the elected government under Sentinel's 50 cycles of rule and the new government that comes after, she 1st appears in chapter 5. you can read chapter 1 here.

i love Charley Yang (Boywithuke) so much skdfmgfd.

With his earliest songs the biggest thing that had me falling in love with his songs in the first place was the fact that they felt so nostalgic and so real. The lyrics were a bit wonky and could have been worked on much better, but he was like in school at the time. It was also late 2019, early 2020s, at the time. As a kid growing into a teenager, his music was stuff I could genuinely relate to and understand as a kid. The whole toxic popularity due to Tiktok and gacha life edits thing sort of ruined it so much, which is why I dropped him for a bit. It really saddens me that a lot of people see Charley as a person that was that sad guy who wrote the gacha life edits songs Toxic, rather than actually listening to his other songs or even better, his latest music. They've sort of kept him in that place of being nothing more than a temporary TikTok hit, which is pretty crap considering he has genuine talent and feelings put into his songs.

Charley wrote songs that I loved because of their sick beats, how catchy and cool it felt to listen to and vibe along to. I can still sing half of the rap in his songs because of how much I loved to listen and memorize the lyrics he came up with. It felt great, validating, and catered to my music taste seeing a guy sing about his emotions like that. I absolutely loved it. Even exploring his other songs the last few months, I can see from his very first few songs that sort of catchy edge to his songs that probably drew me and other people in so quickly. And just like a person, Charley's songs grew in complexity and matured for all the years I've been such a huge fan of him. That's what I love about his songs so much, the way you can really see the way he's grown.

The whole rebranding as Charley Yang thing is definitely not where I expected him to be, but I'm mostly genuinely happy for him because he's discovering himself and creating new music that's just absolutely amazing with the melodies and the rap and his voice. I'm glad I can still listen to his old music, because I love it and it's helped me so much as a person. I hope his new music and his new album, Burnout, will continue to grow and prove how he's getting better at writing and making songs.

transmutate is unbelievably cute I love to see a woman who has had the trust burned out of her trying to protect her enormous immortal bestie. giving him this look like “are you hearing this shit. this man’s lying to us 100%.” standing in front of him like a guardian ready to throw down. yeah he can rip these people apart but he shouldn’t have to. my hands look like this so his hands can look like this.

BWU Artos - Style Changes + A Poll to Decide A Speed-Paint

•Picture Redraw (Found Pic on Pinterest) Fun fact about this one, I actually drew it the day before I went to his concert! I was hoping to get it signed, but there wasn’t a good time to do so. Now it’s just hanging around in my files. I really enjoy the playing with effects I did here, so that’s nice.

•Day After Day Fun fact about these three, they were drawn three days in a row! I don’t know what it is about this man, but something compels me to draw him. Anyway, here is when my style got more intense, but it tones down (proven by the drawings on my blog now) I wanted to make these into stickers, or at least the second one, but I got discouraged by my parents and didn’t do it.

•BWU but Cat (“Meow”) So I drew this when I was considering the light brushes, as one can see. Most recent drawing, and I was thinking about making this a short little GIF, when I realized that it would be too much work. Anyway, now I have this cat boy in my files, and I like looking at him when I’m overstimulated.

So these drawings are all drawings I’ve posted before, but I wanted to post them again with a little more explanation/backstory. Plus, I haven’t been posting in a while other than my WIP Thank You for 500 Animation, and I don’t think the drawing gods will be kind on me for a while.

I swear his music is amazing- the one artist that I’ll stick with forever (mostly because he saved my life like 2-3 times already). Depression is not fun, but listening to good music while burying your face in a bunch of pillows is! Pretty nice music, I recommend, go listen.

Onto the next topic, I was thinking on posting speed-paints for these drawings, but I don’t know which one to do first. Therefore, I need the broshimiskies to help decide!

What do you think of Beast Wars Uprising?

oh i love it. its Definitely not something i would recommend to everyone, and there were some points where i had to take a break because it was getting a little Too grim, which is saying a lot bc i Love tragedy and angst and grimdark bs. but like, its legitimately one of my favorite pieces of transformers media. im obsessed. i love the minutia and deepcuts and the drama of it. and the setting is fascinating. it's so easy for the whole Endless War aspect of a lot of tf stories to start feeling tired, but the maximal-predacon proxy wars and titular uprising is really interesting to me! and like, the way they could get away with some really horrifying shit because it's fanclub fiction and it's not going to reach as wide an audience as most other tf stuff? love that. ppl think mtmte is intense but its got Nothing on bwu

there is absolutely nothing funnier to me than when someone at a clickbait churn-it-out geek site gets told 'fuckin... google something transformers related' and has to write some godawful SEO bullshit based off tfwiki. reason being, tfwiki being so insanely, infamously thorough means that it almost always results in a hyper-niche bit of lore getting treated as some huge deal of great import to the franchise. case in point:
