The Anglo-Zionist political establishment is doing all in its power to control Donald Trump, even to the extent of sabotaging the possibility of peace in the world. Trump is playing along in some respects, yet keeping his cards close to the vest in other respects. We’re left waiting, much as Putin seems to be waiting—not allowing provocations to lead him out onto a limb. These are scary times, with the real actors concealing themselves from We the People. It takes quite a feat of imagination to pretend that America is still any sort of constitutional republic. The controllers are so much in control that they remain unnamed. But there’s a bright
James O'Keefe @JamesOKeefeIII "Joe Biden is, like, dead. Not literally. Like, he, like, can't say a sentence," admits Henry Appel, advisor at the National Security Council (NSC), about the current state of the President’s health. Appel, who works in the Intelligence Programs Directorate, noted his team's responsibility for providing senior policymakers with top secrets, stating, "We give all of the senior policymakers all of the secrets." He went on to describe Biden’s deteriorating communication skills as a concern, adding, "[Biden] can't say a sentence." Recalling a phone call in which the President struggled to understand the simple phrase, “novel phenomenon,” Appel shared "He [Biden] was just like, 'What do you mean, like a book?' when my boss [Jake Sullivan] used the word 'novel.'” Appel didn't stop there; he also recounted an exchange from a call with @JoeBiden, revealing, “I picked up the phone and said, 'Hello, Mr. President'... and he asked for Jake [Sullivan]. After a brief exchange, Biden called me back 10 seconds later asking again, ‘Is Jake there?’” Appel told Biden, “No, he's traveling with you,” adding, “He's on the same trip that you are.” Appel also described his perspective on the results of @realDonaldTrump’s 2024 election victory, stating that White House officials felt “trauma-bonded" after the election, adding, “We're also all kind of concerned about them [Trump Administration] coming after us.” @JakeSullivan46 @NSC_Spox @POTUS @KamalaHarris @VP 1:11 PM · Dec 16, 2024
Yeah, so maybe these creeps (yes, I try to keep this family friendly) should be concerned that someone will be coming after them—for their part in perpetrating a hoax of this sort on the American people. Then again, how many votes did Zhou and Kama Sutra legitimately garner? That’s scary, too.
Remember. This situation is NOT a surprise to any DC insiders—including GOP establishment figures like senators and the former AG, Bluto Barr. They knew what they were handing the American people over to when they stabbed the nation in the back.
Meanwhile …

Hanukkah speech tips for Pres. Clinton, 1998!
From Israeli gov’t speechwriter to Clinton NSC staffer Blinken, 1998
Tumblr media
Middle East Trip - Menorah Lighting 12/98, from Anthony Blinken's Files, ca. 1994-1998, Records of the National Security Council Speechwriting Office (Clinton Admin.), ca.1993 -2001.Clinton Presidential Library. NARA ID 23903818.
--Sixth in our first-ever 8 days of Hanukkah Tumblr series of surprising Hanukkah-related National Archives records. By Miriam Kleiman, Public Affairs--
Suggested Hanukkah joke, part of guidance from an Israeli gov’t speechwriter to Anthony Blinken, for President Clinton’s December 1998 visit to Israel:
Tumblr media
President Clinton visited Israel four times during his two terms, and his 1998 visit overlapped with Hanukkah. Clinton Presidential Library records include this fascinating memo from Israeli gov’t speechwriter Jacob Maor to Clinton NSC staffer Anthony Blinken (12/3/1998).
Maor noted that the tremendous Israeli support for the President (after his “Shalom Haver” eulogy for Rabin) had dropped. Maor assured Blinken that these “anecdotes and humor” will help “recreate the warm loving attitude for your boss” and “will be highly appreciated by the Jewish people.”
SUGGESTED  Hanukkah “Ideas and humor”
For President Clinton’s 1998 Israel trip. From Jacob Maor to Anthony Blinken, 12/3/1998. Emphases added.
* Make a joke about Hanukkah gelt! Suggestion: “Uncle Sam came to visit you [on] Hanukah, and is bringing you some Hanukah Money.”
Tumblr media
* Use traditional Hanukkah greeting - “might have an effect like... ‘Shalom Haver.’ Great impact.”
Tumblr media
* Relate the Middle East peace process to Hanukah symbolism!
Hanukkah is 8 days, Wye River Accord negotiations were 8 days!
The Wye Accord, like Hanukkah candles, brightens our world!
The peace process is like a dreidl - when it stops moving, it falls!
President Clinton is like the Shamash candle, the worker, “the servant of the Menorah.”
Israelis may need a broader perspective. Suggested wording: “sometimes it seems to me that you revolve around yourselves” like a  dreidl.
Tumblr media
EXTRA CREDIT!!!
* Note the Hebrew letters on the dreidl and cite David Ben Gurion: “In Israel, in order to be realistic, you have to believe in miracles.
Extra, extra credit: “You’ll surprise them even more, if you’ll note that he passed away exactly 25 years ago last week.”
Tumblr media
*** Use the oil/falafel joke (top of post) at tonight’s candle lighting! Hag Hanukkah Sameach!
FYI - in contrast to the tone of these suggestions, here’s President Clinton’s 1998 Hanukkah greeting:
Tumblr media
ICYMI:
1st Night: 1956 patent application for an unusual menorah with cowboys, horses, tassels, and perhaps mistletoe.
2nd Night: 1926 Sefer Sipur Nes Hanukkah from Baghdad.
3rd Night: the White House Hanukkah party invite with a Xmas tree!
4th Night: mention of Hanukkah in the Rosenberg Trial Grand Jury testimony.
5th Night: 1st Pandemic Hanukkah, 1918

sorry maybe i misunderstood but in one of your posts when you said "Stalin and Mao killed millions" was propaganda, what did you mean? like did you mean Stalin's repressions/purges/ethnic clensings weren't real or...?? cos i'm Russian and there's hardly a family here that wasn't affected by that, including my own. It's all still in living ppls memory, it's not something we're just told by the government lmao. It's actually extremely insulting to suggest otherwise. Like literally ask a person from an ex-USSR country and 9 times out of 10 they'll tell you of an ancestor/relative that was executed/sent to gulag/forced to flee the country/etc during Stalin's rule. Esp if you ask a jewish or other ethnic minority person.
Not sure if you’re genuinely interested in the perspective, if so I can provide resource reccs. I don’t think it’s insulting to ask people to consider that the history they have known may be entirely wrong and to question the common narrative/claims they hear.
Especially considering the fact that CIA was literally created to fight USSR first and foremost, and then any other emerging socialist states thereafter. And the fact that Britain had been at it long before that. The Allies literally supplied troops for the ‘White Army’ to as Churchill put it “strangle the [Bolshevik state] at its birth” in 1917/1918. Formation of NATO itself is an alliance of capitalist anti-communist states. Not to mention that post WW2, when CIA formed, it absorbed existing Nazi and fascists into its CIA & NATO operations to terrorize any leftists orgs in Eastern Europe (Operation Gladio) because of how great they were at terrorizing, infiltrating and sabotage. And in the USA itself, Ukrainian fascists were incorporated into various intelligence orgs. A NSC directive (4A, 1947) stated the following:
The campaign against the Soviets would include “primarily media related activities, including unattributed publications, forgeries, and subsidization of publications. Political action would involve exploitation of displaced persons and defectors, and support to political parties’ paramilitary activities, including support to guerillas and sabotage”
It is in this context that I understand the USSR. I may have criticisms of the CPSU, though it wouldn’t matter now. For us now, even though the exact conditions that the USSR faced will not be repeated again- I think it is necessary to learn from the successes and failures of the first socialist state founded amidst WW1, fall of Tsarist rule/semi feudalism/civil war, rise of Nazism and being surrounded by fascists, WW2 in which America & Britain both directly and indirectly let Germany destroy USSR as much as possible before getting involved, and the USSR was also dealing with a Japanese invasion threat in the east. To me its a feat that the people rallied behind its foundation, that there was fervor of the masses at that time- I can’t imagine it today. There were nearly 2 million party members in 1930. Some 3-4 million people enrolled to take classes with the communist party in 1933.
Yes the repressions, Yezhovshchina & reallocation of people were real. Repressions of the Kulaks and other class enemies was real. And to define class enemy, the kulak case is an interesting one: we’re talking about a class who regularly exploited peasants, & when a drought reduced the grain harvest, raised grain prices so the soviet government couldn’t afford to buy the grain to feed people (and this is where the rationing came from). The government in response encouraged peasants to form collective farms (kolkhoz), which was actually a youth peasant movement and grain harvest from these kolkhoz was soon as much as the kulaks. The kulaks then realizing that they can no longer control the markets, started murdering people in these kolkhoz. And this is the point where the Soviet gov decided to seize the kulak wheat, expropriate kulak land (dekulakization program as is known in the west) & give the land to the kolkhoz. In response, the kulaks burned their wheat, and killed their own livestock in the millions.  And despite this, most of them were only exiled, forced to reallocate or sent to the gulags. Also, forced reallocation of probably millions of people from the east to prevent Japanese invasion, and from the western region as Germany was invading did happen.
Yezhovshchina of 1937-1938 was excessive. Here they replaced their normal voting process (e.g, Trotskyites were voted out with a vote of 700,000 against to 6000 for) with a 3 person tribunal who just handed out sentences like candy- in this period alone, I think there was some 300,000 sentences handed out. Though they were responding to Nazi infiltration among their party. Eventually the party committees got a handle of it, overturned half of the sentences. Many of the remaining sentences were never carried out because there wasn’t that much infrastructure to do so. But certainly innocent people were caught in the cross fire here. But imo the typical perception in the west that this purge was to eliminate any political opponents or to consolidate power is not true. It was primarily to eliminate Nazis in the party and any other counter-revolutionary who would have essentially handed USSR to Germany. There were definitely executions. There’s a quote from Ludo Martens on his study of the USSR that indicates a bit how unequipped USSR was to handle sentences of Yezhovshchina:
"Grigorenko, a well-known Rightist general who defected to the West, stated that, to escape the Purge, it suffice to simply relocate to another city."
There’s also interesting notes from Hitler (via Goebbel’s journal)and Churchill’s WW2 memoir that Hitler had hoped to take advantage of these antagonisms, defeatist tendencies and fascists sympathizers within the Red Army, but Stalin had succeeded in making sure via purges that the Red Army could not be taken advantage of.
But to address what is actually your main point: to assess history based on lived experience. What you stated is not reconcilable with the following examples:
Tumblr media
Frankly I think the further breakdown of the 35+ would yield even more interesting insights. Also its expectedly low in Lithuania, Estonia & Latvia. What do we know about the history of these three countries that would help us understand that? There’s also this interview and this one specially about Stalin & the gulags, which sounds different from the experiences of your family.
Here is a quote from Ludo Martens book:
‘But how is it possible', asked a friend, `to defend a man like Stalin?' There was astonishment and indignation in this question, which reminded me of what an old Communist worker once told me. He spoke to me of the year 1956, when Khrushchev read his famous Secret Report. Powerful debates took place within the Communist Party. During one of these confrontations, an elderly Communist woman, from a Jewish Communist family, who lost two children during the war and whose family in Poland was exterminated, cried out:
`How can we not support Stalin, who built socialism, who defeated fascism, who incarnated all our hopes?'
And also, Normal Finkelstein stated that his parents, both of whom survived concentration camps, would refuse to listen to any criticism of Stalin and called anyone who criticized him a traitor.
So how do we parse through these different lived experiences? What helps us understand the differences in these lived experiences?

White House staffers, working in the secure, soundproof Situation Room in the West Wing basement, listened in and chronicled the conversation . National Security Council personnel edited a memo written about the call. White House lawyers, according to a government whistleblower , directed that the memo be uploaded into a highly restricted classified computer network. And there were the staffers whose keystrokes on a computer made that happen.
They represent a universe of people, little known outside their vital circle of national security officials, who can either support or disavow the whistleblower’s account. Their roles could well become more public as the impeachment investigation unfolds and Congress seeks additional witnesses.
Some staffers involved with the call still work at the White House; others have left. But what was thought to be a routine conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy turned into anything but that, when Trump asked him to investigate Ukraine’s involvement in the 2016 presidential election and the activities of Democratic political rival Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
___
30 MINUTES THAT CHANGED THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY
By the time staffers in the Situation Room got the president of Ukraine on the phone at 9:03 a.m., Trump had just finished firing off tweets claiming complete vindication from former special counsel Robert Mueller’s congressional testimony the day before about the Russia investigation. On the call, Trump was first to speak. He showered the 41-year-old Ukrainian, a novice politician and former comedian, with praise following his party’s victory in parliamentary elections. Zelenskiy chatted about how he wanted to “drain the swamp” in Kyiv and how he wished the European Union would provide more financial support. He told Trump that Ukraine was ready to buy more Javelin anti-tank missiles from the United States.
The next 10 words that came out of Trump’s mouth — “I would like you to do us a favor, though” — are what triggered the House impeachment inquiry that has imperiled his presidency.
Trump asked Zelenskiy to work with Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani and Attorney General William Barr to look into Biden and his son, who served on the board of a Ukrainian gas company.
Trump says it was an innocent, “perfect” call. But some White House staffers, worried that Trump seemed to be asking Ukraine for dirt on Biden, sounded alarms. They suggested the memorandum of the call — “telcon” for short — be transferred into a restricted server, usually reserved for documents about covert operations.
___
BEFORE THE CALL
This call, as well as others Trump has had with foreign leaders, was unusual in other ways, too. In past administrations, top foreign policy officials routinely briefed a president in person right before a call and provided written materials as well.
A former U.S. ambassador to Russia, Michael McFaul worked at the NSC during the Obama administration and helped write briefs to prepare for dozens of calls with Russian leaders, including Vladimir Putin.
“Judging from the content of the Trump-Zelenskiy call, Trump was not reading talking points,” McFaul said. “No one on our team ever would have prepared a call package prompting Obama to ask for a personal favor that would help him win reelection. I also doubt that Trump’s NSC staff would have written or cleared such a talking point for their boss.”
One individual with firsthand knowledge of how the Trump calls with foreign leaders are handled said the president “hates” such “pre-briefs” and frequently has refused to do them. Trump doesn’t like written background materials either, preferring to handle the calls himself, often in the morning from the residence. Occasionally, while on the phone with foreign heads of state, Trump has handed the receiver to his daughter, Ivanka Trump, so she can talk with the leader, according to this individual.
The person said a six-page pre-brief with attachments was once prepared for Trump before a call to a foreign leader. But that turned out to be too long, as did a single-page version. Preparing pre-brief note cards that offered about three talking points for Trump to make on a call was the norm, according to this person, who feared retribution for describing this process and spoke on condition of anonymity.
The individual said that when Trump is done with the note cards, he often rips them up and tosses them in a burn bag. Staff who handle records have had to retrieve the burn bags from the residence, put the papers out on a table and tape them back together to preserve them as official presidential records, this person said.
___
RUN OF THE MILL
Calls between a president and a foreign leader typically start with U.S. intelligence officers detailed to the White House gathering in the Situation Room, a process that has been in place for decades, according to two people familiar with the operation in the Trump White House and past administrations. They spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss how Trump’s calls with foreign heads of state are handled.
During the Ukraine call, several others listened in. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Keith Kellogg, national security adviser for Vice President Mike Pence, were on the call. It’s unclear if they were at the White House or listened in on “drop” lines, secure hookups top officials can use from outside the White House.
Others who typically would have listened in would have been the president’s national security adviser, John Bolton, or his deputy, Charles Kupperman, who have both left the White House; the NSC’s director of Russia and Europe, who currently is Tim Morrison; the NSC’s Ukraine expert; and possibly someone from White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney’s office.
Lawyers who handle NSC issues include John Eisenberg and his deputy, Michael Ellis. It’s unclear what, if any, role Ellis played, but the former counsel for the House Intelligence Committee has been in the spotlight before.
The New York Times reported in March 2017 that he allowed his former boss, the then-committee chairman, Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., to review classified material at the White House, seeking to bolster Trump’s claim that he was wiretapped during the 2016 campaign on the orders of the Obama administration. The intelligence reports consisted primarily of ambassadors and other foreign officials talking about trying to develop contacts in the inner circle of then President-elect Trump. The report was not confirmed by The Associated Press.
The NSC declined to confirm who was on the call.
Down in the Situation Room, several others would have been listening. One person monitors the call to make sure the line is not interrupted. Others are tasked with documenting what is said. No audio recordings are made. The memorandum of the call, the telcon, which the White House has released, is the closest thing to a word-for-word transcript that is produced and is the official presidential record of the conversation.
“When I got to the Situation Room and my predecessor explained this incredibly inefficient process that we use, I had a lot of questions,” said Larry Pfeiffer, a 30-year U.S. intelligence veteran who managed the Situation Room during the Obama years. “I said ‘Why don’t we just record the call and write a transcript based on that?’”
Pfeiffer said his predecessor told him that the White House stopped taping presidential calls in the 1970s when President Richard Nixon recorded 3,700 hours of conversations, transcripts of which were used by Watergate investigators and during impeachment hearings that followed.
Pfeiffer said White House lawyers finally approved the idea of having a duty officer, wearing a headset, sit in a separate room, and repeat what was said on the call into voice-to-text software — again without creating any audio recording.
Individuals familiar with Trump White House procedure say one Situation Room staffer, using voice-to-text software, repeats each word the president says and another listens and repeats what the foreign leader says. The software turns the words they repeat into text and a rough draft of the telcon is produced.
That draft is given to subject matter specialists on the NSC, who edit the draft for accuracy. Each draft is separately preserved. After it’s finalized, it’s turned over to the national security adviser — Bolton, at the time — or the deputy, who was Kupperman, for their approval. White House lawyers also play a role in approving NSC documents.
After that, the telcon is given back to staffers tasked with preserving the document as a presidential record.
___
WHISTLEBLOWER SOUNDS OFF
Somewhere during this sequence, people privy to the call questioned whether Trump was pressuring the Ukrainian leader to investigate the Bidens. Trump has denied that he did and publicly released the telcon recounting what was said on the call.
He released it after a whistleblower, a CIA officer, filed a complaint about the call with the intelligence community’s inspector general. “In the days following the phone call, I learned from multiple U.S. officials that senior White House officials had intervened to lock down” all records of the phone call, the whistleblower wrote. “This set of actions underscored to me that White House officials understood the gravity of what had transpired in the call.”
The unidentified whistleblower — one of two who have come forward — said White House lawyers directed that the telcon be taken off a computer server where classified documents on foreign leader calls are normally kept. They directed it be transferred to a computer network with restricted access for documents about covert operations or other highly sensitive information. The telcon, which was classified as secret, did not contain anything remotely sensitive from a national security perspective.
One of the two people familiar with how foreign leader calls are handled in the Trump White House said putting a document classified only as “secret” into a server holding very highly classified information is not against any rule, but is a means of “leak prevention.”
That person also said it wasn’t common practice to put telcons into the more restrictive server, but that around the same time Bolton became national security adviser in the spring of 2018, it became standard not to share the telcons with the State Department, the national intelligence director and the Pentagon.
Those officials were told that if they wanted to see them, they could read them the next time they were at the White House, the individual said.

@bradleyrsimpson
For the non-historians out there: I am a historian of US foreign policy who has read more documents like this than I can remember, so a few thoughts on the Trump MemCon.
1) This is not verbatim, as the document states. It is a sort of summary, which is very different.
2/9 The references to Giuliani strongly suggest that Zelenskyy is familiar with his efforts over the preceding months to dig up dirt on Joe Biden. When reading documents like this, historians often assemble timelines to interpret references to people and events.
3/9 Before getting on phone calls like this, both Trump and Zelenskyy will have gotten briefing materials with talking points and what the other party wants to talk about, Congress will of course subpoena these. Zalenskyy's briefing materials would be super interesting here.
3.5/9 Zelensky's briefing materials would summarize the state of play of US econ and military assistance, diplomacy, etc. There was *no need* for Trump to specifically mention US mil aid. Zelensky knew the US was holding up military assistance, and why, and what he had to say.
4/5 After the call, officials at State, NSC, and other agencies would have circulated the MemCon to relevant officials whose job is to act on whatever was said. They will often annotate the memo, refer to previous meetings, cables, so everyone can follow the conversation.
5/ Congress can and must subpoena all the follow up documents from this call, because State, DOD, DOJ, and others will have created documents from this call that say "here's what we do now." This MemCon is one data point in a narrative, referring to many other relevant events.
5.5/9 When I and other historians at places like @NSArchive use the Freedom of Information Act to request documents related to Presidential conversations, we request all documents from weeks or months before and weeks or months after, because there is prep work and follow up.
6/9 We can read much into the tone, tenor, and other 'cues' in the memo. This is at the heart of what we do as historians - trying to 'read' an incomplete transcript and come to best interpretation of language used. The tone is of a supplicant (Zelenskyy) buttering the President.
7/9 Zelensky flatters Trump in ways I have never seen in such a conversation - mentioning he stayed at Trump's hotel, etc. Its almost certain he was briefed that this is the way to get on Trump's good side: kiss his ass, flatter, praise. This is a weird, weird thing to read.
8/9 Trump mentioning Giuliani repeatedly in the call is a enormous tell. Normally President will refer to Sect State, Ambassador, or cabinet officials as his point person on a policy issue. Trump mentions his personal lawyer, and Zelensky will have known exactly what this means.
9/9 The few paragraphs referring to Barr, Giuliani, Biden, etc. are, from a historian's perspective, very, very clear in their meaning. Take 100 historians, and 99 will see this document in the same way, even if we interpret it with great caution. This is very, very damning.

Lt. Col. Alexander S. Vindman of the Army, the top Ukraine expert on the National Security Council, plans to tell impeachment investigators that he twice reported concerns about President Trump’s dealings with Ukraine, according to a draft statement obtained by The New York Times.
Opening Statement of Lieutenant Colonel Alexander S. Vindman
Before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, and the House Committee on Oversight and Reform
October 29, 2019
Mr. Chairman and Ranking Member, thank you for the opportunity to address the Committees concerning the activities relating to Ukraine and my role in the events under investigation.
BACKGROUND
I have dedicated my entire professional life to the United States of America. For more than two decades, it has been my honor to serve as an officer in the United States Army. As an infantry officer, I served multiple overseas tours, including South Korea and Germany, and a deployment to Iraq for combat operations. In Iraq, I was wounded in an IED attack and awarded a Purple Heart.
Since 2008, I have been a Foreign Area Officer specializing in Eurasia. In this role, I have served in the United States' embassies in Kiev, Ukraine and Moscow, Russia. In Washington, D.C., I was a politico-military affairs officer for Russia for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs where I authored the principle strategy for managing competition with Russia. In July 2018, I was asked to serve at the National Security Council.
The privilege of serving my country is not only rooted in my military service, but also in my personal history. I sit here, as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army, an immigrant. My family fled the Soviet Union when I was three and a half years old. Upon arriving in New York City in 1979, my father worked multiple jobs to support us, all the while learning English at night. He stressed to us the importance of fully integrating into our adopted country. For many years, life was quite difficult. In spite of our challenging beginnings, my family worked to build its own American dream. I have a deep appreciation for American values and ideals and the power of freedom. I am a patriot, and it is my sacred duty and honor to advance and defend OUR country, irrespective of party or politics.
For over twenty years as an active duty United States military officer and diplomat, I have served this country in a nonpartisan manner, and have done so with the utmost respect and professionalism for both Republican and Democratic administrations.
INTRODUCTION
Before recounting my recollection of various events under investigation, I want to clarify a few issues. I am appearing today voluntarily pursuant to a subpoena and will answer all questions to the best of my recollection.
I want the Committees to know I am not the whistleblower who brought this issue to the CIA and the Committees’ attention. I do not know who the whistleblower is and I would not feel comfortable to speculate as to the identity of the whistleblower.
Also, as I will detail herein, I did convey certain concerns internally to National Security officials in accordance with my decades of experience and training, sense of duty, and obligation to operate within the chain of command. As an active duty military officer, the command structure is extremely important to me. On many occasions I have been told I should express my views and share my concerns with my chain of command and proper authorities. I believe that any good military officer should and would do the same, thus providing his or her best advice to leadership.
Furthermore, in performing my coordination role as a Director on the National Security Council, I provided readouts of relevant meetings and communications to a very small group of properly cleared national security counterparts with a relevant need-to-know.
MY SERVICE ON THE NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL
When I joined the White House’s National Security Council (“NSC”), I reported to Dr. Fiona Hill, who in turn reported to John Bolton, the National Security Advisor. My role at the NSC includes developing, coordinating, and executing plans and policies to manage the full range of diplomatic, informational, military, and
economic national security issues for the countries in my portfolio, which includes Ukraine.
In my position, I coordinate with a superb cohort of inter-agency partners. I regularly prepare internal memoranda, talking points, and other materials for the National Security Advisor and senior staff.
Most of my interactions relate to national security issues and are therefore especially sensitive. I would urge the Committees to carefully balance the need for information against the impact that disclosure would have on our foreign policy and national security.
I have never had direct contact or communications with the President.
THE GEOPOLITICAL IMPORTANCE OF UKRAINE
Since 2008, Russia has manifested an overtly aggressive foreign policy, leveraging military power and employing hybrid warfare to achieve its objectives of regional hegemony and global influence. Absent a deterrent to dissuade Russia from such aggression, there is an increased risk of further confrontations with the West. In this situation, a strong and independent Ukraine is critical to U.S. national security interests because Ukraine is a frontline state and a bulwark against Russian aggression.
In spite of being under assault from Russia for more than five years, Ukraine has taken major steps towards integrating with the West. The U.S. government policy community’s view is that the election of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the promise of reforms to eliminate corruption will lock in Ukraine’s Western-leaning trajectory, and allow Ukraine to realize its dream of a vibrant democracy and economic prosperity.
Given this perspective and my commitment to advancing our government's strategic interests, I will now recount several events that occurred.
RELEVANT EVENTS
When I joined the NSC in July 2018, I began implementing the administration’s policy on Ukraine. In the Spring of 2019, I became aware of outside influencers promoting a false narrative of Ukraine inconsistent with the consensus views of the interagency. This narrative was harmful to U.S. government policy. While my interagency colleagues and I were becoming increasingly optimistic on Ukraine’s prospects, this alternative narrative undermined U.S. government efforts to expand cooperation with Ukraine.
April 21, 2019: PRESIDENT TRUMP CALLS UKRAINE PRESIDENT ZELENSKYY
On April 21, 2019, Volodymyr Zelenskyy was elected President of Ukraine in a landslide victory. President Zelenskyy was seen as a unifying figure within the country. He was the first candidate to win a majority in every region of the country breaking the claims that Ukraine would be subject to a perpetual divide between the Ukrainian- and Russian-speaking populations. President Zelenskyy ran on a platform of unity, reform, and anti-corruption which resonated with the entire country.
In support of U.S. policy objectives to support Ukrainian sovereignty, President Trump called President Zelenskyy on April 21, 2019. I was one of several staff and officers who listened to the call. The call was positive and President Trump expressed his desire to work with President Zelenskyy and extended an invitation to visit the White House.
May 21, 2019: INAUGURATION DELEGATION GOES TO UKRAINE
On May 21, 2019 I was directed by Ambassador Bolton and Dr. Hill to join the delegation attending President Zelenkskyy’s inauguration. When the delegation returned, they provided a debriefing to President Trump and explained their positive assessment of President Zelenskyy and his team. I did not participate in the debriefing.
OLEKSANDR DANYLYUK VISIT - July 10, 2019
On July 10, 2019, Oleksandr Danylyuk, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council for Ukraine, visited Washington, D.C. for a meeting with National Security Advisor Bolton. Ambassadors Volker and Sondland also attended along with Energy Secretary Rick Perry.
The meeting proceeded well until the Ukrainians broached the subject of a meeting between the two presidents. The Ukrainians saw this meeting as critically important in order to solidify the support of their most important international partner. Amb. Sondland started to speak about delivering the specific investigations in order to secure the meeting with the President, at which time Ambassador Bolton cut the meeting short.
Following this meeting, there was a scheduled debriefing during which Amb. Sondland emphasized the importance that Ukraine deliver the investigations into the 2016 election, the Bidens, and Burisma. I stated to Amb. Sondland that his statements were inappropriate, that the request to investigate Biden and his son had nothing to do with national security, and that such investigations were not something the NSC was going to get involved in or push. Dr. Hill then entered the room and asserted to Amb. Sondland that his statements were inappropriate.
Following the debriefing meeting, I reported my concerns to the NSCs lead counsel. Dr. Hill also reported the incident to the NSC’s lead counsel.
ELECTION CALL – July 25, 2019
On July 21, 2019 President Zelenskyy’s party won Parliamentary elections in a landslide victory. The NSC proposed that President Trump call President Zelenskyy to congratulate him.
On July 25, 2019, the call occurred. I listened in on the call in the Situation Room with colleagues from the NSC and the office of the Vice President. As the transcript is in the public record, we are all aware of what was said.
I was concerned by the call. I did not think it was proper to demand that a foreign government investigate a U.S. citizen, and I was worried about the implications for...
.... the U.S. government’s support of Ukraine. I realized that if Ukraine pursued an investigation into the Bidens and Burisma, it would likely be interpreted as a partisan play which would undoubtedly result in Ukraine losing the bipartisan support it has thus far maintained. This would all undermine U.S. national security. Following the call, I again reported my concerns to NSC’s lead counsel.
CONCLUSION
The United States and Ukraine are and must remain strategic partners, working together to realize the shared vision of a stable, prosperous, and democratic Ukraine that is integrated into the Euro-Atlantic community. Our partnership is rooted in the idea that free citizens should be able to exercise their democratic rights, choose their own destiny, and live in peace.
It has been a great honor to serve the American people and a privilege to work in the White House and on the National Security Council. I hope to continue to serve and advance America’s national security interests.
Thank you again for your consideration, and now I would be happy to answer your questions.

Completed 2021 NSC Mural
The NSC Art Council reviewed the mural call submissions, and Paige Pettibon's design has been chosen for the 2021 campus mural. The mural call sought an Indigenous Artist to create a design that would center our Indigenous student and staff population. Pettibon is an artist based in Tacoma, and her studio practice highlights the perspectives of Indigenous folks and their relations. In step with the mural call, her goal for the mural was to create a design that creates a sense of pride and respect for the land we occupy. Pettibon is black, white, and Salish, from the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. Pettibon's design will be painted by students in ART 204 Mural Art, led by instructor Kelda Martensen.

What Does the Peacemaker Finale Mean for Season 2?
https://ift.tt/b0mGdeN
This article contains Peacemaker spoilers.
The Peacemaker finale had at least two more scenes that we’ve added to the long list of “I can’t believe they filmed that” shots this show pulled off. It also made a huge change in the status quo for the DCEU’s clandestine services.
After Peacemaker, Vigilante, and the gang successfully blew up the cow WITHOUT resorting to using the Scabies Helmet, Adebayo held a press conference to set the record straight. She counteracted the butterflies’ accusations against Peacemaker, and in the process exposed her mother, Amanda Waller, and the entire Task Force X operation to the entire world.
If you’re thinking “that probably won’t end well for the team,” you’re right! There’s some comics history to the Suicide Squad being outed, and none of it’s good.
BLACKMAIL
Senator Joseph Cray was a real piece of work. The fake legislator, created by John Ostrander and Luke McDonnell in their classic Suicide Squad run in the late 1980s, was in trouble for steering government contracts in exchange for bribes. So he decided to try and weasel his way out of it using the Suicide Squad. First, he tried to get Derek Tolliver, the team’s liaison with the National Security Council installed above Waller, so Tolliver would answer to him. When that didn’t work, he dangled his classified knowledge of Task Force X over Waller, threatening to expose the team.
Rick Flag decided to solve this problem himself, heading off to murder Cray and Tolliver before the team could be exposed. Waller had been trying to deal with it before Flag went lone wolf, so she sent the team to stop him. Eventually Flag managed to kill Tolliver, but before he could get Cray, Flag was stopped by Deadshot, and the team ended up exposed anyway.
THE JANUS DIRECTIVE
The exposure of Task Force X leads almost directly into the big crossover of the Ostrander/Kim Yale/McDonnell era of Suicide Squad:  “The Janus Directive.” This was a crossover between all of DC’s clandestine services at the time – Checkmate (led by, among others, Harvey Bullock and the Doom Patrol’s Negative Woman); Waller’s Task Force X; Sarge Steel and King Faraday’s Central Bureau of Intelligence; the self-explanatory Project Peacemaker; Force of July, a group of patriotic-themed superheroes led by Major Victory; and Captain Atom handlers Project Atom.
Waller, running the Squad through a proxy after its exposure and a subsequent public relations-fueled face turn, began to get more erratic, sending the Squad on missions that appeared to have no nexus to United States national security interests, but were entirely personal. This set all of the other clandestine services against them, and we get a good eight or nine issues of deep state warfare.
Turns out Waller hadn’t actually gone rogue, though. She found a plot by Kobra (a terrorist group of religious fanatics – think AIM if they were led by Serpentor) to replace her, cause trouble that world governments would need to focus on, and leave Kobra free to commence the Kali Yuga, a global catastrophe that they believed would underpants gnome them into power. Waller was trying to flush out any traitors in on the game.
PEACEMAKER SEASON 2
Sounds like a pretty strong basis for the new next season of Peacemaker, doesn’t it?
The DCEU’s clandestine side is extremely undeveloped to this point. We know Task Force X is part of ARGUS, but besides them, we only know of the services that exist in the real world – the FBI, CIA, NSC, etc. DC Comics has a lush, completely bananapants gang of spies, feds, and paramilitaries. And honestly, television might just be the place to introduce this.
The other argument for drawing from “The Janus Directive” for season 2 is the perspective shift. Peacemaker was a player in the original story, but the point of view character was very much Waller. Seeing this event through Chris’ eyes would be a fascinating shift and entry point into all of this craziness.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
Based on how good season one of Peacemaker was, whatever we get in the next one should be good. But this might be the best possible option.

How Prime Minister Narendra Modi Is Supporting Irrigation & PMKSY?
Tumblr media
Prime Minister Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY)
India is highly dependant on Agriculture sector. So we should be following new trends and techniques which results in more output by using less resources. As we know over 80% of water consumption in India is for agriculture sector, and 30% of water provided to agriculture is wasted. So there is a strong need of management of water in this field. India’s increasing population creates problem in many cases, water shortage is one of them. If we could find a technique which uses less water and give optimum results, then it would be great for India. With this thought process Hon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started PMKSY (Prime Minister Krishi Sinchayee Yojana-Har Khet ko Pani) and Narendra Modi has sanctioned approximately 2600 Crore budget for this Scheme.
The government of India is committed to putting water conservation and its management on high priority. To this effect, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) has been formulated with the vision of extending the coverage of irrigation ‘Har Khet ko pani’ and improving water use efficiency ‘More crop per drop’ in a focused manner. It also provides end to end solutions on source creation, distribution, management, field application and extension activities. Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) has started in 2015 under the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PMKSY has been formulated amalgamating ongoing schemes viz.
Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIBP) of the Ministry of Water Resources – Rs. 1000 crores
River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation (MoWR,RD&GR) – Rs. 2000 crores for MoWR
Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP) of Department of Land Resources (DoLR) – Rs. 1500 crores
The On-Farm Water Management (OFWM) of the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation (DAC) – Rs.5300 crores
PMKSY has approved around Rs. 50,000 crores for five years.
Under Hon. PM Narendra Modi’s guidance area covered for irrigation is: Micro Irrigation Drip: 3.57 Lakh Ha Sprinkler: 5.81 Lakh Ha Total: 9.37 Lakh Ha Other Interventions Potential Created For Protective Irrigation: 3.65 Lakh Ha
About Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY)
Major Objective Of PMKSY
Convergence of investment in irrigation at the field level
Expand cultivable area under irrigation (हर खेत को पानी)
Improve On-farm water use efficiency to reduce wastage of water
Enhance the adoption of being precise in irrigation and other water-saving technologies (more crop per drop)
Enhance recharge of aquifers
Introduce sustainable water conservation practices by exploring the feasibility of reusing treated municipal wastewater for peri-urban agriculture
Attract greater private investment in the precision irrigation system.
The PMKSY scheme will be implemented by the Ministries of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Rural Development. Ministry of Rural Development is to mainly undertake rainwater conservation, construction of farm ponds, water harvesting structures, small check dams, and contour binding, etc. MoWR, RD &GR, is to undertake various measures for the creation of assured irrigation source, construction of diversion canals, field channels, water diversion/lift irrigation, including the development of water distribution systems. Ministry of Agriculture will promote efficient water conveyance and precision water application devices like drips, sprinklers, pivots, rain-guns in the farm “(Jal Sinchan)”, construction of micro-irrigation structures to supplement source creation activities, extension activities for the promotion of scientific moisture conservation and agronomic measures Program architecture of PMKSY will be to adopt a ‘decentralized State level planning and projected execution’ structure that will allow States to draw up their own irrigation development plans based on District Irrigation Plan (DIP) and State Irrigation Plan (SIP). It will be operative as a convergence platform for all water sector activities including drinking water & sanitation, MGNREGA, application of science & technology, etc. through a comprehensive plan. State Level Sanctioning Committee (SLSC) chaired by the Chief Secretary of the State will be vested with the authority to oversee its implementation and sanction projects. The program will be supervised and monitored by an Inter-Ministerial National Steering Committee (NSC) will be constituted under the Chairmanship of Prime Minister with Union Ministers from concerned Ministries.
District Irrigation Plans (DIPs)
District Irrigation Plans (DIPs) shall be the cornerstone for the planning and implementation of PMKSY. DIPs will identify the gaps in irrigation infrastructure after taking into consideration the District Agriculture Plans (DAPs) already prepared for Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) vis-à-vis irrigation infrastructure currently available. Also, resources that would be added during XII Plan from other ongoing schemes (both State and Central), like
Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme(MGNREGS),
Rashtriya Krishi Vikash Yojana (RKVY),
Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF),
Member of Parliament Local Area Development (MPLAD) Scheme,
Member of Legislative Assembly Local Area Development (MLALAD) Scheme,
Local body funds, etc
The gaps identified under Strategic Research & Extension Plan (SREGP) will be used to prepare for DIP. DIPs will present a holistic irrigation development perspective of the district outlining medium to long-term development plans integrating three components viz. water sources, distribution network, and water use applications incorporating all usage of water like drinking & domestic use, irrigation, and industry. Preparation of DIP will be taken up as a joint exercise of all participating departments. DIP will form the compendium of all existing and proposed water resource network systems in the district. The DIPs may be prepared at two levels, the block, and the district. Keeping in view the convenience of map preparation and data collection, the work would be primarily done at the block level. A block-wise irrigation plan is to be prepared depending on the available and potential water resources and water requirements for the agriculture sector prioritizing the activities based on the socio-economic and location-specific requirements. The comprehensive irrigation plan may cover more than one district if planning is made based on the basin/sub-basin level. The activities identified in the basin/sub-basin plan can be further segregated into district/block level action plans. Use of satellite imagery, topo sheets, and available database may be appropriately utilized for developing irrigation plans at least on a pilot basis, to begin with, and subsequently may be extended to all projects.
State Level Sanctioning Committee (SLSC)
State Level Sanctioning Committee (SLSC) chaired by the Chief Secretary of the respective States are authorized to sanction projects, oversee their implementation and monitoring. National Executive Committee (NEC) under the Chairmanship of Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog will oversee program implementation, allocation of resources, inter-ministerial coordination, monitoring & performance assessment, addressing administrative issues. At the National level, the program is to be supervised and monitored by an Inter-Ministerial National Steering Committee (NSC) under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Prime Minister with Union Ministers concerned Ministries as a member.
