What would Jane be willing to do to swap the Tessa she knows with the one from seraphont's DaGOI (Dying and Getting Over It) au?

I’ll have to go with the Present route, my mind is racing with possibilities so I’m just sticking with that.

With Jane and Sheila, their (not) relationship was already doomed from the start. Especially with Louisa being a stay-at-home mother around the time Jane was gifted to Sheila—they never had a chance to begin with.

So, with Jane being this bitter wolf and Sheila suddenly being swapped out with DaGOI Tessa—it’s be a rocky road. Maybe less intense with Sheila being gone but now Jane has to deal with DaGOI Tessa. She has a slight advantage due to her humanless features (sorry X_X), with her being a worker drone Jane will still try to eat her.

Skipping over Tessa’s multiple death near experiences and Jane hunting her down because of their frequent encounters—I’m not sure. I’m sort of at a stalemate. It depends on the reason why Jane would want Tessa, as in Canon, she’s no longer infatuated with Tessa (Sheila) nor the idea of her.

TLDR: It’d be futile to have DAGOI Tessa with Jane when the damage is already done. It wouldn’t go beyond mutual respect(?) as Jane lacks the desire to be with a new Tessa.

I think it also depends on what you did and how you responded. If you did things that only really affect you, like going a bit quiet or distant, etc. Then the first option will do. Explaining why you were how you were will help them understand. I don't think you neccessarily need to appologise in this instance. Taking on too much blame is also s classic adhd thing that we need to fight. But in a very considering way.

I think it also depends on what the other person has done. Is this sincere appolgy and understanding a two way street if it needs to be. Or are you just trying to appease the person.

I think we also need to do whatever we can to prevent others (& ourselves as much as possible) from getting hurt in the first place. RSD and the like are very strong and overwhelming feelings. In the moment they can take over. But where possible walk away. You can explain later. Where possible tell the person that you can't talk right now. That you need to pause. Or have a way of indicating this non-verbally if this is too hard. Set up these things with the people closest to you if you need to. Because in the moment sometimes it's all too hard.

If the conversation is one you need to have. Come back to it at a later time. Once your brain has had time to prepare for it, you can come back to it. Do what you can to help your brain prepare for it. And explain to the other person or people involved that this is the case.

I know that this is not always possible.

People against piracy fail to realize that no, I can’t just ‘buy it.’ They stopped making DVDs and Blu-Rays. They’re barely offering digital copies for download. I am not spending money I could use for food or bills to pay for a subscription service just so I can always have access to a beloved piece of media. Especially not when the service will remove media on a whim without concern for how the loss of access to that piece will make its artistic conservation nigh impossible.

For example, I recently learned that Disney+ had an original film called Crater. It’s scifi, family friendly, and seems cool - I would love to buy it as a holiday gift for my little brother! But: it’s exclusive to D+ and THEY REMOVED IT LITERALLY MONTHS AFTER ITS RELEASE.

The ONLY way I can directly access this film is through piracy. The ONLY available ‘copies’ of this film are hosted on piracy websites. Disney will NEVER release it in theaters, or as something to buy, and it may NEVER return to the streaming service. It will be LOST because we aren’t allowed to purchase it for personal viewing. If I can’t pay to own it, I won’t pay for the privilege of losing it when corporate decides to put it in a vault.

So yes, I’m going to pirate and support piracy.
