To say that I was let down by Anne’s ending in HL is an understatement. There were so many opportunities to undo Anne’s curse that were thrown out the proverbial window in exchange for keeping Sebastian’s descent into the Dark Arts and Uncle Solomon’s death canon events. And for what? A cliffhanger that will probably never be resolved? What happened to talking to the Keepers? And what about the longevity of Victor Rookwood’s curse after his death? Did the curse survive him? Was it lifted as soon as he got blasted to bits? What if the curse can be contained in only one area of the body instead of letting it spread like Dumbledore contained his in his hand after he touched Marvolo Gaunt’s ring? Can Anne do that with hers and live out the rest of her days in peace? And how could a relic so ancient and powerful be turned to cinders like it were a toy? It doesn’t make sense. We were robbed. Robbed!

So, there's a few things bugging me about Ahsoka and the New Republic so far, especially in regards to the latest episodes. Baylan Skroll and his apprentice Shin prison break Morgan Elsbeth, who has been arrested and is being taken to the New Republic for trial. They do this by chopping up New Republic officers with their lightsabers, a very distinctive wound. Ahsoka, who worked as Fulcrum, and Hera Syndulla, who is a General, investigates and discover more on the Dark Jedi involvement, as well as missing New Republic war assets from a factory on Corellia due to rogue Imperial agents. They further discover a Galaxy jumping device has been created for Grand Admiral Thrawn. I may remind a Grand Admiral is a very high rank.

Yet, the New Republic keeps prattling on about how they can't do anything because there's no evidence and it all sounds like a fairy tale? As if this is a court of law and not about state intelligence? They have an entire transport of lightsabered and slaughtered evidence, they have General Hera Syndulla, a hero of the Rebel Alliance, Ahsoka, a bonafide Jedi expert, as well as a Squadron of New Republic fighters including Captain Teva as witnesses. Literally a member of their squad died in the pulse from the Galaxy hopper and they just assume they're lying. They should also have witness statements and records of the Battle of Lothal (including the space whales), since they accept Thrawn and Ezra did disappear officially. Even in a court of law, this would not be ignored, and this isn't even a court of law, it's state security. I can think of many nations that have invaded other countries based on 'a tip' or something flimsier. And, even so, how can the New Republic not even send out some sort of intelligence operatives or investigatory committee?

Yet, they send like three giant ships to court-martial Hera and then in a court debate whether to court-martial or not, which makes me think the writers don't understand what a court-martial is. The strangest thing is the court is actually set up more like a hearing, with Senators, but they call it a court. Next, everyone reacts to C-3PO like he's God and he just gets Hera out of it with an excuse from Senator Leia I honestly don't think would work, but whatever. Ultimately, at this rate the New Republic wouldn't last five years, let alone over two decades, with this attitude. I honestly doubt they'd make it to the Sequel era. They're doing everything too soon with no sense of time scale.

Hey why did the English dubbers of Samurai Troopers/Ronin Warriors take away the name Anubis (The famous jackal headed Egyptian God) from the dog themed masho/warlord and give it to Shutendoji, the ogre one who had nothing to do with dogs?

You coulda just changed all the names if you really wanted but you just had to keep the name Anubis to give it to a character that doesn't even match. I don't get it.

how the fuck did Trader Joe’s get this reputation for being fancy like Whole Foods? It’s all off-brand stuff, it’s the same parent company as Aldi (for any Europeans, I believe technically in the US Aldi Sud is just Aldi and Aldi Nord owns Trader Joe’s), none of it is particularly expensive, it just doesn’t make sense. Is it because it’s usually only in cities, which may have slightly higher taxes increasing the overall cost? Is that it? Is it because of the instagram and tiktok people making the products look cool?? Is it because they sometimes have slightly unique snacks???

like $100 at Trader Joe’s is a reasonable amount of food for a week or two, $100 at Whole Foods is a small shopping bag, these are not the same

I just... okay, Jaab has a giant crush on Jen but Jen is going out with Mon. Jen is obviously also interested in Jaab and he starts to flirt back. They kiss. Jen tells Jaab that he broke up with his boyfriend. Jaab (for reasons unknown and unexplained) turns him down and then proceeds to basically destroy their friendship while still pining and ditching him multiple times. Then we get a time jump and Jaab has a new partner and Jaab is still pining after a very hurt and confused Jane who definitely deserves better.

Is that it? Am I right?

Then please explain how the fuck any of this many sense.

I just don't get it! What is Jaanb's goal!? What is he doing!!? What emotional journey are we on with him!? None of it adds up to actually explain his character.

Is he dating Paint because of parental pressure? Is that why he turned down Jen? Didn't seem likely from his mom but maaaybe his dad? But why not bring that up or at least even hint at it? I thought he might be afraid of commitment but... he's got a partner now!

I am starting to think that Jaab just likes pining after Jane, apparently, and doesn't want a relationship... but that would be very awkward to show in a show with a satisfying ending and, honestly, doesn't make much sense. What is going on here?

If someone can't see past a username attached to a post.... I can't imagine anybody who goes online and says that's distracting. Literally every social media out there today tells you the username and profile pic of who is posting. Where is the indication that it would've worked better to remove that? What person is scrolling twitter only reading screen names??
