To say that I was let down by Anne’s ending in HL is an understatement. There were so many opportunities to undo Anne’s curse that were thrown out the proverbial window in exchange for keeping Sebastian’s descent into the Dark Arts and Uncle Solomon’s death canon events. And for what? A cliffhanger that will probably never be resolved? What happened to talking to the Keepers? And what about the longevity of Victor Rookwood’s curse after his death? Did the curse survive him? Was it lifted as soon as he got blasted to bits? What if the curse can be contained in only one area of the body instead of letting it spread like Dumbledore contained his in his hand after he touched Marvolo Gaunt’s ring? Can Anne do that with hers and live out the rest of her days in peace? And how could a relic so ancient and powerful be turned to cinders like it were a toy? It doesn’t make sense. We were robbed. Robbed!

Hey why did the English dubbers of Samurai Troopers/Ronin Warriors take away the name Anubis (The famous jackal headed Egyptian God) from the dog themed masho/warlord and give it to Shutendoji, the ogre one who had nothing to do with dogs?

You coulda just changed all the names if you really wanted but you just had to keep the name Anubis to give it to a character that doesn't even match. I don't get it.

how the fuck did Trader Joe’s get this reputation for being fancy like Whole Foods? It’s all off-brand stuff, it’s the same parent company as Aldi (for any Europeans, I believe technically in the US Aldi Sud is just Aldi and Aldi Nord owns Trader Joe’s), none of it is particularly expensive, it just doesn’t make sense. Is it because it’s usually only in cities, which may have slightly higher taxes increasing the overall cost? Is that it? Is it because of the instagram and tiktok people making the products look cool?? Is it because they sometimes have slightly unique snacks???

like $100 at Trader Joe’s is a reasonable amount of food for a week or two, $100 at Whole Foods is a small shopping bag, these are not the same

I just... okay, Jaab has a giant crush on Jen but Jen is going out with Mon. Jen is obviously also interested in Jaab and he starts to flirt back. They kiss. Jen tells Jaab that he broke up with his boyfriend. Jaab (for reasons unknown and unexplained) turns him down and then proceeds to basically destroy their friendship while still pining and ditching him multiple times. Then we get a time jump and Jaab has a new partner and Jaab is still pining after a very hurt and confused Jane who definitely deserves better.

Is that it? Am I right?

Then please explain how the fuck any of this many sense.

I just don't get it! What is Jaanb's goal!? What is he doing!!? What emotional journey are we on with him!? None of it adds up to actually explain his character.

Is he dating Paint because of parental pressure? Is that why he turned down Jen? Didn't seem likely from his mom but maaaybe his dad? But why not bring that up or at least even hint at it? I thought he might be afraid of commitment but... he's got a partner now!

I am starting to think that Jaab just likes pining after Jane, apparently, and doesn't want a relationship... but that would be very awkward to show in a show with a satisfying ending and, honestly, doesn't make much sense. What is going on here?

If someone can't see past a username attached to a post.... I can't imagine anybody who goes online and says that's distracting. Literally every social media out there today tells you the username and profile pic of who is posting. Where is the indication that it would've worked better to remove that? What person is scrolling twitter only reading screen names??

As much as I enjoy reading fics where Mori tortures Chuuya or Dazai for punishment or just for his own amusement or whatever, I dont think he would ever actually do that.

Mori killed the previous boss of the Port Mafia because he was out of control, had let power get to his head, and was killing unnecessarily. Mori is way too rational and logical to do something like break his most useful subordinates just for his amusement.

He might be a mafia boss and a pedo but even when he tried to create an immortal army or whatever with Yosano, traumatising her in the process, it was, in his mind at least, for the good of the city, and to protect people, not because he enjoyed it. I mean yeah he might have enjoyed it too but that wasnt the reason for doing it.

Im not wanting to defend him or anything, he is still a despicable person, but i just think theres more to him than a power hungry sadist like a lot of fics portray him as.
