Sea Jetter Kaito is a local hero from the city of Ishinomaki, home of the Ishinomori Manga Museum.
He was based off of Shotaro Ishinomori's concept art for a hero called Iron Devil Shadol. The character ended up being scrapped, and his design was retooled into Choujin Bashaan from 1976's Choujin Bibyun.

Ishinomori Manga Museum Original Canister Tin & Cookies have just been released in the first floor gift shop. Retailing at 821 Yen or $5.20 USD, each tin features a different theme and flavor of butter cookie. The Cyborg 009 tin has black tea flavor, Shotaro Ishinomori World tin is cheese flavor, and the Kamen Rider themed tin cookies are chocolate. They pushing the reusability of the tins as pen holders or for keepsakes, but the price point alone makes these great souvenirs for museum visitors!

This statue had been removed from the Manga Road outside display since the earthquake and tsunami back in 2011 due to the museum needing refurbishment and repairs. It was restored to its proper place and a ceremony was held welcoming its return.

I think this is kinda heartwarming.... at least that's what I gleaned from google translate lol. otherwise, this is a set of Hiromi pictures XD
Yeah, he's going back to his hometown- Ishinomaki, which incidentally is also Ishinomori Shotaro's hometown and where the Ishinomori Manga Museum is. Junya went there when it opened and met Fujioka-san, which he has previously cited to be the reason he pursued acting and become a Kamen Rider.
It seems like he's going there to participate in the museum's anniversary events. It's celebrating its 21st anniversary this year. I guess it makes sense- they wouldn't have been able to hold events last year with COVID restrictions and the Olympics happening around the same time. Somehow, I kinda think it's nice that the museum, Sentai and Kamen Rider have milestone anniversaries on the same year (with last year being Sentai's 45th, KR's 50th and the museum's 20th anniversary)

Fresh from the Ishinomori Manga Museum is a 16 oz/500ml thermos for all your hydration needs. Not to be confused with their previous steel tumbler/hot drink cozy, this vision in blue includes a screw top lid with gasket.

Talk About Furuba and Ishinomiya Shotaro-sensei!
Evening Its Ishida Ayumi
 Fruits Basket!!!
 The FINAL!!!
The last episode!!!
Thank you very much, For the power to live up until now, really!!!
 ❤
I really liked the end… Forever, Living happily among friends…
At first, Kyo-kun’s future was already, Decided on that it would be sad, He had already given up in that regard
Because that’s how it was in the past,
Knowing love from meeting Tohru, Struggling to pave the way, Going forward even with making mistakes
Because we have been watching over him the whole time,
Its not obvious, It feels really, really, precious
Mm, its not just like that for Kyo-kun, right
Everyone in the zodiac, Just them smiling,
 I couldn’t help but cry……
Everyone was hurt a lot, Even if they wouldn’t have gotten hurt at all, Complementing each other, Helping each other,
 Please continue to live happily……❤
Its lonely that the anime has ended but,
That’s right, I think its lonely but,
 Eeeeeh ❤
The main character Tohru’s parents, Kyoko-san and Katsuki-san will be getting their story animated……!
 Also,
 A play was announced……!?
It seems it will be in 2022,
 Again there,
I’ll be able to look forward to living in 2022
Ha----- ❤
 Moreover it’s a play!! it’s a like x like crossover!!
 Hya---!!
I don’t know anything about, How the play will be expressed, What they will take to make the play,
  I’m! Looking! Forward! To it!
 ❤
Nahh, it’s a play! I want to go every day! Lol
For the time being as the final episode is over,
 I really enjoyed it
Everyone watching from TV Osaka and TV Aichi Those that are subscribed, Until the end, please have a wonderful time---
 Sendai Broadcast “Ara Ara Kashiko”
The other day I learned, About Ishinomaki Shotaro-sensei
I posted a lot of photos on Instagram
You know, for photos of specific works, I can’t take photos of that so I can’t post them so,
By all means if you can take a trip there,
Those that like Kamen Rider and Cyborg 007
I want you to come and see it— I also want Reina-chan to go
It seems that Ishinomaki Shotaro-sensei, Wrote a manga when he was young and sent it through the mail, Asking god…… Having such a past,
 Isn’t that a bit mysterious?
They’re kind of an amazing person, man, Like they were amazing from the moment they were born,
 That’s what I ended up thinking…
But, I know that’s now how it was as, I got to know the artist at “Ishnomaki Shotaro’s Hometown Memorial Hall”,
Being able to visit their “birthplace” where they were born and raised,
That’s right!!! Their birthplace, the desk, chair and room where the artist actually made the manga, I sat in that!? Amazing--------
  This is in Tome,
There is the “Ishinomaki Manga Museum”
Tumblr media
(This is a bit different than what I learned)
The upper left photo, Its hard to see but there is a read mark
 This is,
From the Great East Japan Earthquake, It shows the height that the tsunami reached
  ……eh!?
That’s high, honestly I was also surprised
 That’s about 1 story high
The facilities were damaged from the tsunami, The building wasn’t washed away, The 2nd floor didn’t get flooded, It seems that it was an evacuation site at the time
The 2nd floor is a wideeeee space to read manga!
After the earthquake, with help from a lot of people the Ishinomaki Manga Museum was able to reopen,
As I’m able to visit it now, I was able to experienced lots of wonderful works,
I’m really glad it was protected
When you enter the facility, its big,
Your greeted by the heroes with a “We’ve been waiting!”
 Its cool--!
Also with that, Ishinomori Shotaro-sensei is from Miyagi
Ishinomaki Shotari-sensei left behind, Many wonderful works, Also it is cherished by those that love it
I learned about the artist for a day,
Getting to go through the space as if the youth of the artist remained, getting to experience that, it was really a wonderful time!
 “Ishida Ayumi Goes! ~Ishinomaki Shotaro~”
 Thank you for this time!
Tumblr media
  See you ayumin ❤

the OG and Sara! as ambassadors?!!! for the kamen rider museum???
Tumblr media
that's neat. it'd be pretty awkward if she didn't become a rider tho lol
It's for the Kamen Rider the Exhibition, which travels around different cities in Japan I believe. I think it's an appropriate choice, really- Seiji Takaiwa for obvious reasons, and Nene Shida played a prominent character from the most recent finished series and doesn't seem to have a lot of upcoming projects on hand.
Afaik, Junya Komatsu's still repping the Kamen Rider Museum- or more accurately the Ishinomori Manga Museum, found in his (and Shotaro Ishinomori's) hometown of Ishinomaki, Miyagi.

Osamu Tezuka’s former residence, where many of Japan’s early manga artists resided, including Fujio Akatsuka, Fujiko Fujio, and Shotaro Ishinomori, opened on Tuesday, July 7, 2020.
Called the Tokiwaso Manga Museum, it replicates the rooms where the legendary manga artists lived in the 1950s and 1960s.

Went to the Ishinomori Mangattan Museum for Jet’s birthday this year and it was A LOT OF FUN. Got to talk with other cyborg fans, drew pictures, played football, and watched movies in the library.
Also...I finally got a Jet Hot Dog. One of the guests I spoke to (and befriended) bought me a Jet Dog out of nowhere, which is funny because I’ve been to the IMM a few times and everytime I went they were all sold out. And on all the days I ever got a hot dog—and I got it right on Jet’s birthday.
Also the Jet hamburger (or hamborger, thanks @chiauve!) was very scrumptious—it’s a thick breakfast sausage patty. It was so popular they were sold out by midafternoon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*They stuck these manga Jet’s all over the museum I thought was a nice touch!*
I wore my motorcycle boots for the first time to the event, but by the time the day was done I got blisters on my heels. No matter though, I had a blast.
Also one other thing that I learned about the museum. When I told some of the staff that my trip included going to Sakaiminato, I was stunned to learn they all not only have been there, they’re also fans of GeGeGe no Kitaro! They were actually advertising an event there for Shigeru Mizuki’s birthday that takes place in Sakaiminato this year.
(Coulda gone to that but I was only in Japan until the 11th.)

Anyway, one of the things they don’t tell you about Tashirojima is that it looks highly post-apocalyptic. There used to be a manga museum for Shotaro Ishinomori on the island so there’s a bunch of faded Cyborg 009 standees hanging ominously in the foliage.
