So have been seeing people say Ishan made runs on easy balls and whatever. And commentators literally shaming him for his height which is not even in his control.
I just want to say, that man catches balls with dives after taking few steps. That's his excellence, speed and accuracy behind stumps. Bro has been taking good DRS calls for example the Rachin Ravindra wicket review. Imagine the hollering crowd of CSK and MI fans, Ishan Kishan with a helmet on and spike being so small that even the bowler is doubtful. I accept he hasn't had the best season with bat but with gloves he has been giving the best of his efforts. His batting is still raw that needs good mentoring and his confidence needs a good environment that's for sure.
Right after World Cup we saw 2 consecutive 50s from his bat that showcased skill and excellence. He was confident back then but the whole BCCI fiasco and MI drama has sabotaged his confidence but he is getting back up.
Any team like RCB, GT, KKR or SRH is good for giving him the right atmosphere to sharp his game. This guy was close to hai 50 yet he chose intent over achievement while we have seen Rohit in the DC match as well as the CSK match where he slowed down near his milestones.
I'm not blindly biased for him, I do see Ishan's fault but only if he got the backing level of Rishabh Pant, he would've made a good spot for himself in the Indian Team.
Over and Not out🫡

This Starving Heart
#8. Your New Addiction
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
Sleeping through the night without feeling the phantom sensations of hands roaming all over his body and nails digging into his skin was rare.
Waking up without his heart hammering into his chest and feeling nausea rise up his throat was even more rare.
A rarity that Shubman only ever experienced when he was home with his family.
But waking up and feeling relaxed with Ishan's arms around him, his head snuggling perfectly against his chest was..... a little too much to handle.
He had behaved awkwardly when they had settled into their room but in his defense, it's not his fault that Ishan keeps taking his shirt off in front of him or that he keeps playing with his hair or the way he bites his locket while scrolling through the phone drives Shubman insane.
He does feel like a creep sometimes but at this point his body simply refuses to listen to him.
His eyes keep ogling Ishan whenever they're training.
His skin breaks into goosebumps due to a mere touch when Ishan grabbed his arm to fix his position.
And when Ishan is not distracting him by existing, his brain worked overtime to create fantasies he never had about anyone before. Some were simple, like imagining holding hands or cuddling with him; others were.....Well....they mostly just caused a lot of inconvenience for him due to the reactions his body had.
He felt his heart hammer in his chest again, but this time, he knew it wasn't because of the nightmares.
Ishan's sleeping face looked like something you'd only see in one of those artistic Indie movies.
Shubman committed every little detail into his memory.
The pretty lips, curly hair, the way his right cheek was smushed against the pillow a little bit, how long his lashes were, the warmth of his arms, the way his fingers curled against Shubman's shirt;
He laid there for a couple of minutes to soak it all in.
His dreams and fantasies may never come true, but this was real. And for him, it was more than enough.
He slowly slid out of his blanket and Ishan's sleeping hug (despite his protesting heart) and went to the bathroom.
Half an hour later, after taking a shower and putting on his clothes, he stepped out.
Ishan was awake and sitting on the edge of their bed, scrolling on his phone with his towel beside him. He looked up at him,
"Are you done?"
"......."
"Hey! I'm TALKING TO YOU!"
"Huh? Oh- Uh....Good Morning to you too?"
God he looks adorable with a bed head.
"That's not what I sai- ugh. Whatever. I asked you if you are done during the bathroom."
"Oh yeah. You can go ahead."
"Hmm... Did you not sleep well?"
It was the best sleep of my lif-
No wait. Can't say that.
"I... No...I slept alright.... I think?"
His face softened in concern then.
"You think? You seem lost. Are you tired?"
Yup. Lost in your-
Shit.
"No. No I slept well."
He grabbed his stuff from his bedside table and turned away without another word.
Staying near Ishan was distracting enough, but his sleepy eyes and toussled hair made him dangerous.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Breakfast was.....weird.
Hardik bhai kept throwing dirty looks at him and his plate.
It's not his fault his appetite has reduced, so why be upset with him? His uncooperative stomach deserves the glares, not him.
If that wasn't enough, Ishan then snatched his plate and piled a bunch of food he definitely didn't want to eat but...
How many people in the world are fortunate enough to get a plate full of stuff hand picked by their crush?
Not many, he guesses, especially when said crush is THE Ishan Kishan.
So he tries his best to push down the queasy protests of his body and eats.
The stares and lack of chattering around them starts to feel suffocating. He tries to eat as much as he can and then gets up, dumps the plate, and bolts.
He finds Ishan coming after him a minute later.
"You've been doing that a lot, you know?"
"doing what? Putting on pads for batting?"
He tightens the straps on his right leg.
Ishan sighs. "No... Running away whenever you feel cornered."
He bends and grabs his bat.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
He's about to turn away, but Ishan grabs his arm.
"Wait.... Just... Listen to me."
He squirms and tries to free his arm but apparently Ishan's fingers have iron instead of bones as the grip tightens, bordering on painful.
"What? What is it?"
"Just.... Ugh. God I really don't know how to talk to you."
Well.....that's not hurtful at all.
"It's just that... we've been in the team together for a while now but all we have ever done is fight about everything.
Now I can't even ask you if you're alright without making it sound stupid."
His heart gives a squeeze.
"So You're worried about me?"
Is it normal to be this happy over someone worrying about you?
Ishan sighs again.
It's a pretty sound.
To be fair, every sound he makes feels like the soft jingles of window chimes to Shubman but...its not exaggeration if it's the truth right?
"Yes. Yes I am worried about you. You were having nightmares yesterday. I can't remember the last time you ate like a normal person. You keep dozing off in the bus and you always look tired.
What is going on with you?"
"Nothing."
"Don't lie to me! You didn't even pause to think before saying nothing."
He runs a hand through his hair and huffs.
"if you don't want to tell me, which, completely understandable by the way, talk to someone else. Siraj or Virat Bhai or any of your friends. Just don't pretend everything is alright."
Shubman wants to laugh at the irony of it all.
The guy responsible for his sleepless nights and distractions is asking him what's going on with him.
It feels like a cruel joke, because while he knows Ishan's concern is genuine, how could he ever tell him, or anyone what's actually going on?
He would prefer the concerned looks over disgusted ones any day.
So he shakes his head and repeats, "It's nothing Ishan. Nothing anyone can solve anyway."
Ishan stares at his face for a few seconds.
"is it.... Um... You know I don't really care about rumors on the internet but... "
"What?"
"Is it about Sara Tendulkar?"
He has no idea what expressions Ishan sees on his face because he instantly starts apologizing.
"I'm sorry I... It's your personal life and you obviously don't have to answer anybo- "
"It's not true."
"Huh?"
He forcefully spits out each word.
"It's. Not. True.
They are pointless rumors and nothing else. I barely even talked to her. I don't like her, we are not secret lovers and I am definitely NOT SACHIN TENDULKAR'S SON-IN-LAW!"
He feels a hand rub his shoulder.
"Hey, I didn't mean it like that.
I believe you, so relax okay?"
He feels drained and practice hasn't even started.
"I'm just tired of the screaming in stadiums and so called journalists insisting I must be dating her to keep my spot in the team.
It just feels like... Am I not skilled enough to get on the team without having connections like that?"
Ishan raises his hand a little and awkwardly pets his head.
"You're here because of hard work, because of your sacrifices and your family's support. I know that. The team knows that.
Other people don't matter."
He leans into the touch.
Ishan's fingers feel magical and his words feel like a soothing shower of reassurance on the stinging wounds of his insecurities.
......that is until Rohit bhai's voice booms over them, breaking the magical spell.
"Oye lovebirds! Come here! We're starting with feilding drills."
He feels like his face is on fire.
Ishan quickly snatches his hand back and starts running. One look at him and the bright red tips of his ears give away how he's feeling.
Shubman runs after him, as he always does.

I have finally come to my senses and it has finally just sunk in that India has WON, we freaking won the T20 world cup. I couldn't believe it. I was screaming with joy and happy tears were streaming down my face at 11.30 p.m. at night after Hardik Pandya's last delivery. My heartbeat during the entire match went 📈📉. I was so scared when Klassen was on the field and then hardik took his wicket. Hardik proved it, he proved what it means to turn your boos into cheers, what it is to complete one's redemption arc. His words : "last 6 months were, I haven't spoken a word, things have been unfair. I knew that if I kept working hard I could shine and do what I could do", they show how much he suffered and yet still kept a smile on his face. Those words of him will forever remind me to keep working on yourself and ignore the world because when the time comes everyone's criticism will turn into praise. Everybody's contribution yesterday and throughout the tournament has culminated into yesterday's win. If everyone hadn't contributed be it on the field or from the bench by carrying waterbottles or messages, the win wouldn't have been possible. After 11 years we finally won an icc trophy, the win finally eased the hurt of the memories of 2023 odi wc where 1.4 billion people shed tears and were haunted by the memories of that match. Yet despite the overwhelming happiness, today is also tinged with a bit of sadness and bitter melancholy, the reason being, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja and Rohit Sharma. They are our childhood, we grew up watching them play. The jersey numbers VK18, Rohit45 and Jadeja8 are forever imprinted in our minds. Jadejas bullet fielding, Rohits pull shots and Virats batting will forever imprinted in our minds and hearts. Their retirement from the t20 format is marking the beginning of the end of an era. Yes, they will continue playing the longer formats of odi and test but we will miss them in t20's not only them but Trent boult and David Warner, too. But as they said it's time for the newer generation to come forward and carry the torch on and VK, Jaddu and Rohit definitely got the fairytale ending they deserved especially after not only the nightmarish 19th November but also the several semi finals and finals we lost over the years. Here, I will input that I am hoping for ishan kishan's comeback too. The dual emotions of happiness and sadness had made the overwhelming. Here's to hoping for an even brighter future. Here's to the future of indian cricket and Indian cricket team. Because we are THE WORLD T20 CHAMPIONS OF 2024!!!🥳🥳🥳.

Ravindra Jadeja is angry at the unfair treatment of Ishan Kishan
With the Board of Control for Cricket in India preparing a contract extension for head coach Rahul Dravid after the ICC World Cup 2023, the chief of the National Cricket Academy and batting icon VVS Laxman coached a second-string Indian side for the entire five-match T20I series against Australia. Under the leadership of new captain Suryakumar Yadav, a second-string India side defeated Australia 4-1 in the bilateral series.
Superstar Shreyas Iyer, who was rested for the first three T20Is, joined the Indian squad as Suryakumar's deputy for the final two encounters against Australia. While Iyer was roped in as the No. 3 batter for the 4th and 5th T20I, India decided to release Ishan Kishan from its playing XI after the third encounter of the five-game series. When Ravindra Jadeja got asked, “Was Kishan really that tired after three matches?’ Jaddu said, “There was a series right after the World Cup. Ishan Kishan played three matches and went home.
Was he really that tired after three matches that he needed rest? He didn't even play a lot of games at the World Cup. He deserved his spot in the playing XI for the first few World Cup matches. How many Indian players have scored a double century on a good day? He can change the game on his own. When will he get ready? Will you keep him on trial all the time? In the last two years, how many games has he played? This problem of Indian cricket is not of today; it is very old that we don’t select players but reject them.”

IPL 2025 Mega Auction Dates and Venue Announced by BCCI
IPL 2025 Auction Likely to be Held in Riyadh on November 24-25: The Indian Premier League (IPL) auction has always been a much-anticipated event, drawing global attention as teams battle to build the best squads. For the 2025 season, the excitement has reached new heights, with reports suggesting that the mega auction will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and 25. Although the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has yet to officially confirm the location, sources close to the matter indicate that Riyadh is the likely host city.
Franchise Retention Strategies and Key Highlights
All ten IPL franchises have submitted their retention lists, offering glimpses into their team-building approaches for the 2025 season. As teams retained their core players while releasing others, several prominent names have been added to the auction pool, increasing the competition and adding excitement for fans.
Retention Highlights Across Franchises
The franchises have retained 46 players, with a total investment of ₹558.5 crore. Notably, 36 of these players are Indian, including 10 uncapped Indian stars. Here’s a breakdown of major retention decisions:
Mumbai Indians – With five IPL titles, Mumbai Indians have built a strong Indian core by retaining key players like Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Suryakumar Yadav. Tilak Varma, a promising young left-hander, also retained his place. Notably, Ishan Kishan, a talented youngster, was released, leaving MI with a ₹45 crore budget for the auction.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru – RCB has opted for a selective approach, retaining only three players: Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Yash Dayal. Kohli commands the highest retention fee at ₹21 crore, giving RCB the second-largest auction purse of ₹83 crore.
Punjab Kings – Surprising many, Punjab Kings chose not to retain any capped players, focusing instead on young talent. They retained only two players, Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh, and hold the largest auction budget at ₹110.5 crore.
Rajasthan Royals – Rajasthan Royals solidified their batting lineup with strategic retentions, although they still seek an additional opener. With the smallest purse of ₹41 crore, RR enters the auction with a precise plan to strengthen its roster.
Chennai Super Kings – MS Dhoni will once again grace the IPL, retained by CSK as an uncapped player. CSK’s strategy combines experience with fresh talent, retaining Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, and Matheesha Pathirana.

Top Players Entering the Auction Pool
With several renowned players left out of the retention lists, the 2025 auction pool includes high-caliber talent. Here’s a look at some of the notable players available for auction:
Released Indian Captains
The release of Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, and Rishabh Pant has left three experienced Indian captains in the auction pool. Franchises seeking strong leadership may vie for these players, adding an extra layer of excitement to the auction.
England Players in the Auction
Interestingly, no England players were retained by any franchise this season. Major players like Jos Buttler, Liam Livingstone, Jonny Bairstow, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Harry Brook, Phil Salt, and Will Jacks will be up for grabs. Their release reflects teams’ concerns about availability, as these players missed parts of the season due to international commitments.
Young and Uncapped Talents
This year’s auction also features a number of unproven Indian talents, with ten uncapped players retained by various teams. These young players offer affordable options and the potential to evolve into match-winners, making them valuable assets in the auction.

Franchise-by-Franchise Retained Player List
Each team’s retained player list showcases their unique strategy and vision for the 2025 season. Here’s the full list:

Delhi Capitals (DC): Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Tristan Stubbs, Abhishek Porel.

If held in Riyadh as expected, the event will represent a pivotal moment in IPL history, emphasizing the league’s growing international influence. With captains like Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul up for grabs, franchises will have the opportunity to redefine their leadership.

[ad_1] Koushik. PC – KSCA The pace bowlers made a massive impact on Day 2 of the Bengal-Karnataka Ranji Trophy game played at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Initially, the ever-reliable Vasuki Koushik bagged a five-wicket haul for Karnataka. Rishav Vivek, Ishan Porel and Suraj Jaiswal then shared the spoils to dent the home side. On the back of a timely, unbeaten stand between Abhinav Manohar and Shreyas Gopal, Karnataka recovered to some extent to end the day’s play at 155 for 5, in arrears by 146 runs. Just like day 1, Koushik provided Karnataka the perfect start by removing Shahbaz Ahmed, with Sujay Sateri pouching the catch behind the stumps. Koushik also took the scalp of Porel to complete his five-for. The hallmark of Koushik’s bowling has always been his control. With the track offering a hint of seam movement and generally staying on the lower side, Koushik pitched most of the deliveries on a good length spot and extracted nifty movement to trouble all the batters. Gopal, who mixed up his pace quite well and imparted some drift, took a three-for while the debutant Abhilash Shetty plucked two. It was an impressive effort from Karnataka considering the fact that they were without Vidwath Kaverappa (shin injury) and Vijaykumar Vyshak (selected for the T20I series versus South Africa). Karnataka’s injury woes didn’t end there. Nikin Jose, who suffered a cut on his forehead while fielding on day 1, was replaced by Kishan Bedare as concussion sub. Hardik Raj also went back to the pavilion after taking a tumble while fielding. Bedare, who opened the batting with Mayank Agarwal, looked in decent touch, even essaying a few cut shots off Porel, before falling to the same bowler. The tall Porel also caused some problems for Agarwal, the Karnataka skipper. In fact, one of the highlights of the day’s play was the battle between the two. There was something else to notice – Agarwal’s routines at the crease. After every few deliveries, he would walk towards the square-leg umpire, then touch his helmet grille and adjust his thigh pad before facing the next ball. Unfortunately for Karnataka, his patient vigil was cut short by Jaiswal. Meanwhile, Rishav bowled with a decent burst of pace and removed both Manish Pandey and R Smaran. At that juncture, Abhinav Manohar and Gopal joined forces to stitch a crucial stand of 92. Manohar, who made his first-class debut in the previous game, was at his aggressive best, cracking six fours and a six. In the last over of the day, he also took a single to complete his maiden first-class fifty. The Karnataka camp would hope for the pair to carry on the good work on day 3. At the other end, Bengal would believe if they break the Gopal-Manohar stand in the first few overs of the day’s play, they have the opportunity to run through the lower order and gain a sizeable lead. Brief scores: Bengal 301 (Anustup Majumdar 101; Vasuki Koushik 5-38) lead Karnataka 155 for 5 (Abhinav Manohar 50*; Rishav Vivek 2-44) by 146 runs. Nazar naa lage🧿🧿🧿
Dear Ishan,
This message is for ishan kishan even though he might never see this (cuz Tumblr duh). But man your resilience and strength has inspired me immensely. You have taught me that despite all the obstacles, you must fight for what is yours amidst hungry wolves who are ready to tear your confidence apart. May God bless you with all the success, health and respect.
This season might not be the best for your bat but damn teri keeping ko kisi ki nazar na lage mere bihari sher. Tu tension na le, main aur tere loyal fans taiyar hai tere come back ke wait ke liye. Apna fan-idolo waala rishta toh forever waala hai Ishu.
Ab chin up my champion and looking forward to ur smiles and innings.

New Zealand National Cricket Team Vs India National Cricket Team Match Scorecard
India Scores 5 Out of 5! All over the Indian region, news stories will be lit up! Kohli is once again the best! Some haters said he was out of style. Some people thought he was past his best. But guess what? The form is short-lived, but class lasts forever! Kohli was classy during the campaign and slayed the party again tonight. India is having a blast! Half of the job is completed. You have to remain composed and pay attention to the present. Shami clasped his chance with both hands. He is a quality bowler and carries experience. We were looking at perhaps three hundred plus at one point. Bravo on your bowlers' pulling back. I'm having fun with my batting. We have different personalities, yet we (Gill and I) fit each other nicely. Good, we will win. Not much to say here. For years, Kohli has been doing this. When we lost a few wickets, he and Jadeja dragged us back. Though it wasn't clinical today, fielding is our pride. Among fielders worldwide, Jadeja is among the best. These occurrences occur. We already know that fielding will determine a lot going ahead. We enjoy travelling and playing in many corners of the earth. New Zealand National Cricket Team Vs India National Cricket Team Match Scorecard: Tom Latham on the Game Tom Latham: "We performed nicely but missed opportunities in the last ten overs. To India, credit We failed to produce the double breakthrough. Rachin and Mitchell had a fantastic working relationship that would help us through the last stretch. Our gang is quite good. Daryl with the century and Rachin with the bat performed, admittedly. Before the next game, we get a few days off. We try to do excellent deeds”. New Zealand National Cricket Team Vs India National Cricket Team Match Scorecard: Player of the Match, Mohammed Shami Mohammed Shami: "I felt excellent about myself after getting out on the first ball." It's essential to support your peers. The team must do well. It was important to get those late scores. This makes me happy because it means India is now in first place in the table. What could New Zealand have done better? Their fifth bowling choice doesn't look perfect. They can avoid having spinners like Ravindra and Phillips play crucial overs when the weather is good. But they need a different plan when the conditions are suitable for hitting. Even though Boult and Henry were teasing the edges, they didn't get any early catches. Ferguson took a few wickets, but Rohit and Gill hit softballs. They left a few runs on the table in their turn to bat. Mitchell slowed down for a short time before he hit 100. After his hundred, he couldn't speed up. India's Fielding Woes In what ways could India have done extra? Their defence wasn't excellent. Both the catches and the fielding on the ground were terrible. The centre could have helped this. While India needed five runs, Kohli made a mistake by not taking the single and going out. However, he is given the benefit of the doubt. Since hundreds are more valuable in the World Cup, Indian players have worked harder to get them. Read the full article
