Permaculture Instructor Andrew Millison visits the largest reforestation project in the world in the Southern Indian States of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka with the Isha Foundation, founded by Sadhguru. Andrew spent 5 days traveling around the Cauvery River watershed looking at the work of the Isha Foundations' Cauvery Calling project, touring farms, nurseries, temples, and talking with Isha's field agents. Andrew then went to Isha's ashram in Tennessee and was able to directly question Sadhguru about the project.

Have you watched arcane??? Becasue sometimes when I see edits of isha i think of Milo and i wondered if you expierienced that too. Besides her protectivness of jinx, she's so cute just like milo
I THOUGHT THE SAME!! As soon as I saw Isha I was stunned cuz she looks a lot like Milo. I first assumed she was a boy because of it
She’s a lot like him too. Her habit of imitating Neil is so Milo and reminds me of prototype Milo😭
Here’s a redraw I did to practice the arcane art style :)
Ignore Andrew being scratched out I didn’t finish and got frustrated with him
Also I gotta explicitly let yall know this is not a part of my arcane inspired AU but a part of the arcane redraws I tend to do
Here’s my old attempts at drawing the Arcane style :)

welcome to the 2023 tumblr poetry smackdown
tumblr has developed something of a canon of poetry over the past couple years, and i figured others might enjoy getting a chance to voice their opinions on a few of those poems! poems i chose for the poetry smackdown had to be more or less widely read on tumblr (generally 10k+ notes, most with more or spread across compilations), and relatively short so as to make voting easier. they also had to be complete—there are a lot of popular lines floating around on tumblr that are excerpted from very long poems and/or poems that are inaccessible via internet, and those aren't included here. a handful of poets are represented here twice reflecting my sense of their popularity, but i arranged the bracket in such a way that it won't be able to stay that way past round 2 at the latest. if i missed a poem that is super popular i'm sorry, that said the bracket is staying as is because this was a shit ton of work to put together and i don't want to. ty.
you can get to the polls by following the links below or going to the #round1 tag on my blog. you can also send me propaganda if you want via ask and i'll post it/add it to the next round's post if the poem wins.
happy voting!
sincerely amelia @poetriarchy :)
ROUND 1: ENDS JULY 17 at 6pm EDT
"The Two-Headed Calf" by Laura Gilpin vs. "Butter Dish" by Leonard Cohen (cow poems)

"someone will remember us" (fragment by Sappho trans. Anne Carson) vs. "Wait" by Faraj Bou al-Isha trans. Khaled Mattawa
"The Quiet World" by Jeffrey McDaniel vs "Invisible Fish" by Joy Harjo
"Want" by Joan Larkin vs. "Come, and Be My Baby" by Maya Angelou
"Swan" by Mary Oliver vs. "How I Go to the Woods" by Mary Oliver
"The Orange" by Wendy Cope vs. "The Tenor of Your Yes" by Mary Ruefle
"Here There Are Blueberries" by Mary Syzbist vs. "Instructions on Not Giving Up" by Ada Limón
"To The Young Who Want to Die" by Gwendolyn Brooks vs. "A Litany for Survival" by Audre Lorde
"Night Walk" by Franz Wright vs. "Meditations in an Emergency" by Cameron Awkward-Rich
"Summer Was Forever" by Chen Chen vs. "I'm not a religious person but" by Chen Chen
"How to Be a Dog" by Andrew Kane vs. "Scheherazade" by Richard Siken
"I'm going to Minnesota where sadness makes sense" by Danez Smith vs. "Dream Song 29" by John Berryman
"Having a Coke with You" by Frank O'Hara vs. "Having 'Having a Coke with You' with You" by Mark Leidner
ADDENDUM: at 6pm on July 17th (or possibly a day earlier if there's already a clear sweep), I will be releasing a one-day poll that will give voters the option to sub in "Wild Geese" by Mary Oliver for the winner of matchup #8: "Swan" vs. "How I Go to the Woods". this is to help correct my significant oversight when I was remembering which two Oliver poems I've seen most on tumblr, and it's the only time I'm doing this kind of thing, so don't suggest it for any other poems after this please. that said, a sincere ty to @darkcomedies for first bringing its absence to my attention! and keep an eye out for this extra poll which i am calling ROUND 1.5: A HAIL MARY (OLIVER)

vomit posting varian as powder/jinx rapunzel and quirin both fulfill the role of a vi figure (rapunzel as the one that "abandons" powder/varian, and quirin as the one varian looks up to and desperately wants to please) but quirin is also the vander character (the kind of glue to his part of the world, without him it all falls apart) andrew as silco juniper as sevika frederic as kind of a greyson character? almost? (reasoning being the peace deal between her and vander vs frederic's "keep it hush hush about the rocks" deal with quirin) and arianna as caitlyn? no equivilent of caitvi here unless you wanna make cassandra caitlyn yong is isha hugo.. exists something something the rocks are probably the equivilent of hextech as in they cause nothing but problems

short version | long version | spotify wrapped
short version is the link to what you see here, my helpfully abridged version. long version will lead you to the 153 song, 9 hour and 7 minute supercut playlist which i’ve been slowly cultivating since early january. spotify wrapped will lead you to a mixture of the long and the short version, which is honestly pretty accurate but does not helpfully represent my ear worms of the week.
under the cut are the lyrics that really resonated with me, some glimpses of my life and what these meant to me, and uh, at least a moderate amount of anger and doom and gloom.
i. dear arkansas daughter || lady lamb i kneel down in the sea to the ocean floor, i will sink like a steel chest full of weapons and on the spine of the tide you will rise like a red ripe, red ripe apple
This was one of the earliest earworms from early January, so I don't particularly remember where I first heard it. It may have been Tiktok? I vaguely remember something about an up and coming album and it MAY have been this one. Either way, catchy and lovely. ii. goodbye || bo burnham am i going crazy? would i even know? am i right back where i started fourteen years ago?
Oh, okay, so I guess we're talking about this now. I expected to get further than the second song on this playlist before I talked about crippling depression and dread, but hey, there it is. It's very hard, as an american in december of 2024, to remember that there was a time before november. that in fact, most of the year was actually good. things happened to me this year. we bought a house. a HOUSE! our very good friend got married! two of our friends are expecting! february (which is when this song really seeped into me) and march were both very bad months for me, but then i coasted through spring and summer on a wave of hope, of joy.
but those lyrics - am i right back where i started fourteen years ago - feels very relevant to me right now. cycle after cycle of pain and fear. being tired of fighting. of constantly being sad and angry and so very scared. it seems so small, being on the cusp of 2025, and being scared for OUR future when so many others have it worse. this year was a constant spin cycle of hurt and pain and fear and joy and hope and back round again. ukraine still dealing with russia. palestine. election season ups and downs. brat summer, as they say, when for a moment, just a moment, we all had hope. i'm tired. i feel like we're going backwards. and i feel like i'm going crazy. but honestly? would i even know?
iii. you will be okay || sam haft and when creation goes to die you can find me in the sky upon the last day and you will be okay
Funny thing. I actually discovered this song back in February (during the aforementioned dark days) before Hazbin Hotel put Helluva Boss on my radar. I needed an anxiety playlist and this was on one of the ones I was listening to and it just resonated. iv. murder on the dancefloor || sophie ellis-bextor it's murder on the dancefloor but you better not kill the groove, DJ gonna burn this goddamn house right down Saltburn was uh, a thing. I watched it. It was something. However, this effing song was so insanely catchy that it has dogged me through the whole year. And yes, it is incredibly fun to dance around the house to, though I did NOT try to do it naked.
v. nothing you can take from me || rachel zegler, the covey band you can't take my past you can't take my history I still have not watched The Ballad of Snakes and Songbirds. BUT I have listened to this song A LOT. vi. bad idea right? || olivia rodrigo seein' you tonight, it's a bad idea, right? seein' you tonight, it's a bad idea, right? seein' you tonight, fuck it, it's fine
Her music is so effing catchy. SO catchy. vii. red flag || billy talent cast off the crutch that kills the pain the red flag wavin' never meant the same the kids of tomorrow don't need today when they live in the sins of yesterday
I THINK that this song was on a fic playlist for the mindblowing Westworld Steddie AU that I read earlier in the year. viii. sign of the times || harry styles just stop your crying have the time of your life breaking through the atmosphere and things are pretty good from here I was never a one direction fan, but this song made it's rounds on tiktok and I just. I don't know. There was one silly little thing that I did on tiktok to this song a week out from marrying Nick last year and it's just stuck with me ever since. ix. all-american bitch || olivia rodrigo i'm a perfect all-American bitch with perfect all-American lips and perfect all-American hips i know my place, i know my place, and this is it
You know the part of this song where she's just fucking screaming and then puts on the pretty little smile and the pretty little sing-songy voice? That is what the last few months has felt like. x. troubadour || perceval *instrumental*
Another one that made it's rounds on tiktok and caught me by the throat.
xi. hayloft ii || mother mother an eye for an eye, a leg for a leg a shot in the heart doesn't make it unbreak
It's Mother Mother? Do I need to have any other reason? xii. poison || blake roman, sam haft, andrew underberg poison, i'm drownin' in poison i'm fillin' up my glass but it's always hollow full of poison, i'm sick of the poison wish i had something to live for tomorrow…
If this list was HONEST it would probably just be this entire soundtrack on loop fifty times, because guys, Hazbin Hotel GOT me this year. It got me bad. I made myself pick two songs from the soundtrack and I'm still not confident that I picked the right ones.
xiii. hell's greatest dad || hazbin hotel cast i'm truly honored that we've built such a bond (aw) you're like the child that I wish that I had (uh, what?) i care for you, just like a daughter i spawned (hold on now!) it's a little funny, you could almost call me daaaaad The second song from Hazbin Hotel, chosen because, well. It's my two favorite characters. xiv. what a life || scarlet pleasure what a life, what a night what a beautiful, beautiful ride don't know where I'm in five but I'm young and alive fuck what they are saying, what a life
This song is from the soundtrack of a movie starring Mads Mikkelson. I have NOT watched it, but the song itself came onto my radar during the spring/summer era where I was actually happy and made me feel things. xv. shadow || livingston don't you let them take control don't you let them break your soul it's not the devil at your door it's just your shadow on the floor
Still think it's tragic that this song wasn't on the Arcane season two sountrack. Very Arcane-coded. xvi. end of beginning || djo and when i'm back in Chicago, i feel it another version of me, i was in it i wave goodbye to the end of beginning One, this song would have had me the moment it made it to tiktok REGARDLESS of who djo is. Two though, is it completely shocking that the year that I am absolutely obsessed with Stranger Things this becomes one of my favorites? No? This song is so fucking sad, but it's synthy little bits just make me so happy.
xvii. gloom || djo so goodbye farewell go fuck your mother go fuck yourself
Actual favorite djo song.
xviii. revolution || bishop briggs welcome to my revolution got the storm clouds coming you won't see me running
Hmm.
xix. thank you and goodnight || black gryph0n but it's not goodbye forever 'cause we're all down here together and we hope we get to see you when you die
The fact that the original pilot cast made this ACTUALLY stings a little. But god, it's such a banger. Thank you and goodnight indeed.
xx. never be lonely || cascada, jax jones who'd have thought we'd make it? look at where we are is this what dreams are made of? Cascada, in 2024? It's more likely than you think.
xxi. too sweet || hozier i think i'll take my whiskey neat my coffee black and my bed at three you're too sweet for me So, I SAW Hozier this year. One of his stops on the Unreal Unearth tour was Ohio so I bought some GOOD seats because after Florence and MCR, he is my last bucket list artist, and my GOD. He is absolutely lovely, for one. He sung happy birthday to one of his crew members. He thanks you every other song. His hair is full of secrets. He sang every song I wanted him to and more. An entire stadium singing Take Me to Church was fucking magical. I have never come closer to going deaf than I did that night, purely from the shrieking fans. And when he told everyone that THIS song, which is on his Unheard album, which we ALMOST DIDN'T GET AT ALL, was his first Top 100. There were AUDIBLE gasps. AUDIBLE.
xxii. ...well, better than the alternative || will wood baby, could you play along with me baby, would that be alright with you and when we find out what's wrong with me could you tell me how I'm right for you
THIS was on a Gerard Keay playlist. I love the whole playlist, but this was my favorite. xxiii. another day of sun || la la land 'cause maybe in that sleepy town he'll sit one day, the lights are down he'll see my face and think of how he used to know me
God, listening to some of these songs and remembering when I had actual joy is really hard.
xxiv. good luck, babe! || chappell roan when you wake up next to him in the middle of the night with your head in your hands, you're nothing more than his wife and when you think about me, all of those years ago you're standing face to face with "i told you so" you know i hate to say, "i told you so" you know i hate to say, but, i told you so
I was GENUINELY upset that this song was number 6 on my spotify wrapped, because other than Hazbin, Chappell Roan defined my music tastes this year. And THIS PART, THIS PART, goes so FUCKING HARD. xxv. astoria || marianas trench oh yeah, i'll say whatever doesn't make me stronger kills me but it's gonna be a long year
Another band we were supposed to see this year, we were going to make the drive up to Cleveland in October (I think? it may have been August) but we ended up getting sick right before the concert and had to miss it. I was really sad about it. This song was amazing though! xxvi. can can (hardstyle mix) || da tweekas, high level*instrumental* I challenge you NOT to feel things when this is playing loudly. xxvii. lunch || billie eilish i could eat that girl for lunch yeah, she dances on my tongue tastes like she might be the one
I did not have Billie Eilish singing a song about cunnilingus on my bingo card for this year, but girl, this was a fuckin banger.
xxviii. smalltown boy || bronski beat run away, turn away, run away, turn away, run away run away, turn away, run away, turn away, run away I just like the vibes. xxix. i drove all night || celine dion i taste your sweet kisses, your arms open wide this fever for you is just burning me up inside
Hearing this felt very similar to the feeling that I felt when I found out that Cher did an entire Abba album. I just missed her voice. xxx. pink pony girl || chappell roan I thank my wicked dreams a year from Tennessee Oh, Santa Monica, you've been too good to me Won't make my mama proud, it's gonna cause a scene She sees her baby girl, I know she's gonna scream
Look I can match her pitch perfectly in this song, so singing it in the car was an absolutely delight this year. xxxi. joyride || kesha Oh, you say you love me? (That's funny) Well, so do I
Kesha! KESHA! In 2024! I am so happy for her. xxxii. like a prayer (choir version) — i'll take you there choir Life is a mystery Everyone must stand alone I hear you call my name And it feels like home I was obsessed with this song LONG before I actually watched the Deadpool & Wolverine movie. I love choral covers in general, but oh my god, there were SO MANY good edits to this! SO MANY. Also, I'm sorry, but the fact that christians are singing this in megachurches right now have me rolling. xxxiii. please please please (epic cover) || morgan clae Please, please, please don't prove I'm right And please, please, please Don't bring me to tears when I just did my makeup so nice I'm sorry, but I am OBSESSED with this cover. It's better than the original, I'm sorry Sabrina, I just really like big broadway numbers and this scratches the itch.
xxxiv. the ballad of the witches' road || agatha all along cast Marching ever forward 'Neath the wooded shrine I stray not from the path I hold death's hand in mine
Agatha All Along. It was a thing. I fell head over heels for every version of this song. Hearing Patti Lupone again was a delight and while I love every single character and every episode (well, most), HER episode was a goddamn fucking masterpiece. Sorry, but the two last episodes after that were a bit of a letdown considering. xxxv. abasement tapes || johnny dynamite and the bloodsuckers We don't gotta cry no more We don't gotta care at all We never gotta wake up
Nothing deep about this one, I just love it. xxxvi. dying days || graveyard club The moments go quick The hours are fading to dying days The thought makes me sick— The feeling I’ve wasted this life away
This came on a random playlist when I was driving somewhere and I IMMEDIATELY loved the dreamy vibes. That synth! xxxvii. the lighthouse || stevie nicks I wanna teach 'em to fight I wanna tell 'em This has happened before Don't let it happen again The fact that STEVIE NICKS wrote a song about this election, about the fact that our rights are getting taken away and how we need to stand up and fight, and so many people still didn't fucking vote just kills me. I'm tired. I'm SO fucking tired. The next few years are going to be so fucking horrible. I guess my only consolation is the fact that his base are starting to realize they fucked up. Too little too fucking late. xxxviii. disease || lady gaga There are no more tears to cry I heard you beggin' for life (go) Runnin' out of medicine (go) You're worse than you've ever been (go)
At least we got this banger out of it.
xxxix. wolf in sheep's clothing [REBORN] || set it off Who am I kidding? Now, let's not get overzealous here You've always been a huge piece of shit If I could kill you, I would, but it's frowned upon in all 50 states Having said that, burn in Hell! The anger in this song REALLY resonated. xl. heavy is the crown || mike shinoda, emily armstrong This is what you asked for, heavy is the crown Fire in the sunrise, ashes rainin' down
Arcane was a thing. Arcane and Dragon Age are basically the only things that have kept me a fully-formed human for the last few months.
xli. unsweetened lemonade — amelie farren I fucked the reaper cause I knew My time was coming can't you see I was either gonna die At 12 or 90-fucking-3 It's just a fucking banger, okay. xlii. labour- the cacophony || paris paloma Who tends the orchards? Who fixes up the gables? Emotional torture from the head of your high table Who fetches the water from the rocky mountain spring? And walk back down again to feel your words and their sharp sting And I'm getting fucking tired
There's that fucking anger again.
xliii. no one mourns the wicked || wicked movie cast Goodness knows The wicked die alone She died alone
Even if I'd despised the movie (I didn't - I loved it), watching it would have been fucking worth it for the look in her eye, the sound of her voice, when she sang this part. xliv. 這樣很好 (Isha’s Song) || eason chan 吹散乌云 用一抹蓝色 那就算 世界满是荒芜 我们抬头就能 看见月亮
I am NOT going to say words about this because I honestly just cannot. I CANNOT. I am literally crying just listening to this again. xlv. ma meilleure ennemie || stronae, pomme Tu sais c'qu'on dit "Soit près d'tes amis les plus chers" Mais aussi "Encore plus près d'tes adversaires" I was fairly ambivalent about this one when i first heard it. There were A LOT of good songs on the Arcane s2 soundtrack (though imo, season one sountrack was still better). Anyway, this grew on me. xlvi. abstract (psychopomp) || hozier All my love and terror Balanced there between those eyes See how it shines
Again, saw Hozier this year. I expected to cry the whole concert, because that's what I do when I'm overwhelmed by music. I did tear up a bit here and there during my favorites, particularly the older songs. But THIS SONG. I'd never heard this song. I put my phone down. Camera away. I listened. This song is about a moment in his life where they experienced an animal getting hit by a car. It's literally a song about roadkill. But it's also so much more, because GOD, how it shines. Listen to this song, please. xlvii. roll the credits || danielle ponder Hold my head and saw the whole sky I never felt so damn alive And if there's smoke, then I'll be water If there's fire, I'll be rain
This is the song that plays during the end credits of Dragon Age Veilguard. Much like other Dragon Age credit songs, it feels almost dizzyingly not appropriate in context. But it's beautiful. And I was crying. Fuck this game.
xlviii. down by the river || borislav slavov Take my hand and hold it tight 'Cause you and I are everywhere The night is young We're goin' down, down, down by the river (by the river, by the river)
I still have not beaten this fucking game. It HAUNTS me. xlix. the line || twenty one pilots Please don't let them see me Sure there's nothing left to try I can feel the light shine on my face Did I disappoint you?
Do me a favor. Don't listen to the version of this on my playlist. Listen to this live version from the game awards (minding the fact that there are Arcane spoilers playing on the screen behind the stage). Listen to his fucking voice when he screams this part. Listen to the pain. And then go look at the MANY tiktok edits of this part of the song to Arcane snippets. I'll wait. l. all eyes on me || bo burnham You say the ocean's rising like I give a shit You say the whole world's ending, honey, it already did You're not gonna slow it, Heaven knows you tried Got it? Good, now get inside
Mic drop to this year. Let's see if I survive the next one.

Been doing some lore stuff for my custom craftworld. Poking around Aeldari symbols and a bit of language. So allow me to introduce:
Ra Shelwe
"Ra Shelwe" is supposed to mean something along the lines of "Song of Soul/Light" in a kind of lamentation way. Very dramatic. Wiki told me "Shelwe" means "Song of". "Ra" was just pulled from Maugan Ra and Kaelis Ra, referring to "Harvester of Souls" and "Destroyer of Light"; and, without any more info, I assumed it meant light/soul as similar meaning (like a persons "inner light"). Though honestly that could refer to the Destroyer/Harvester pairing instead. Ehh, afaik there isn't any canon on the meaning of many Eldar words, if someone tells me otherwise I can always change my mind xD.
Symbols were referenced from Andrew Hick's collected Eldar stuff. The main insignia for the craftworld is made from a variation of the "soulstone" symbol using some wraithguard fins (? terminology?), and a tear of Isha. 'Cause dramatic eldar. The background symbol is "Salvation". Again, full of drama.
Overall the banner idea and layout was based on some inspiration from some craftworld banners my image search turned up, that apparently came from MirageKnight32 on DA. They're pretty cool, go check them out.
Anyway, lore-wise, Ra Shelwe are a reclusive and don't get involved much in the galaxy (I've only managed to field them in like 5 kill team games, and 1 larger game, in the last 4 years). They made some beeeg unspecified mistakes in the years immediately following the birth of she who thirsts, which has left them few in number, wraith focussed, and FULL of angsty guilt. (If I remember this population make-up is kinda similar to Iyanden? Kinda similar colour scheme too really. Hence why I originally put Iyanden's insignia on my Dire Avenger's flag though.)
Now to hate myself as I try to paint this onto every vehicle and banner. Can't use those standard eldar transfers anymore :D

"The Twelve Disciples." From Mark 3: 13-19.
Next we find the real reason Jesus descended out of the Spirit into the flesh, when he gathers His Twelve Disciples to Him. Israel fathered 12,and Esther identifies 12 women. The reason there are twelve is found under separate cover but I will restate it here:
10 = the Yod, two hands, ten fingers, which is why there are Ten Commandments and not eleven.
11=edeh esher, to stretech one's hand out and be happy
12=sheneym esher= all the heavenly beings
13=shalosh esher, the third husband, "when the number doubles, even triples."
"The noun שלש (shalosh), also שלוש (shalosh) or שלשה (shalosha), meaning three (Genesis 18:2, Exodus 27:1, 1 Kings 15:28). Together with עשר ('eser), meaning ten, it forms thirteen. Together with מאה (me'a), meaning hundred it forms three hundred. This noun in regular masculine plural שלשים (sheloshim) means thirty (Genesis 6:15, Exodus 26:8, Judges 14:19)."
So twelve is as high as we can go as far as Disciples, then we start forming triplicate bonds with the Spirit and when that happens we have to talk about folding, when the Number must also drop in half or thirds, too. We will not talk about that in detail here, but because of the way the Hebrew language works the second we transition from 12 to 13, by drop from 12 persons to three persons that occupy the same frame and then they aren't three at all they are One.
Hopefully this previews why the Disciples are Twelve plus One. To start the process of dividing His Attributes throughout the human race, Jesus like Moses went up the mountain. Whenever a godhead goes up the mountain, it is time for society to climb the spiral staircase and search for the Mashiach.
Similarly, when a prince goes down into a hole, it is time reframe the purposes of the kingdom. Jesus was not royalty, He was the Spirit, so He went up and expected the world to follow. The following explains how we are to do this amazing thing:
Jesus Appoints the Twelve
13 Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him.
14 He appointed twelve[a] that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach
15 and to have authority to drive out demons. 16 These are the twelve he appointed: Simon (to whom he gave the name Peter),
17 James son of Zebedee and his brother John (to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means “sons of thunder”),
18 Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot 19 and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.
Judas Iscariot means "the glorious city slicker." It might make sense already why Judas and the rest did not get along, he was a conformist. As we have said however, every term in Hebrew is radial and has multiple meanings:
The verb אש ('anash) appears to emphasize the weakness of the human individual and mankind's consequent tendency to clan up and have strength in numbers first and then in social stratification. It either means to be weak or even to be sick, or it swings the other way and means to be friendly and social. It yields the important noun אנוש ('enosh), man or human male individual who is weak yet social.
In the Bible, societies are feminine (and maternal) and although some scholars insist on a whole other but identical root, the noun אשה ('isha) means woman or wife. And again perhaps from a whole other root or perhaps the same one, the noun איש ('ish) means man, or rather man of; man in some specific function such as "man of war" or "man of the earth." It's also the common word for husband.
Since societies form around central fires (or the "purifying light" of wisdom, which is where the metaphor comes from), the noun אש ('esh), fire, may also derive from this verb.
The verb אנש ('anash) appears to emphasize the weakness of the human individual and mankind's consequent tendency to clan up and have strength in numbers first and then in social stratification. It either means to be weak or even to be sick, or it swings the other way and means to be friendly and social. It yields the important noun אנוש ('enosh), man or human male individual who is weak yet social.

Verb קרה (qara), and its by-form קרא (qara'), mean to near, to meet or to happen upon. Noun קורה (qora) describes a rafter or beam; the things that come together to form a roof, and which obviously relate to bricks pieced into a wall. Verb קרה (qara) means to piece beams together and noun מקרה (meqareh) means literally place of beams; beam-work.
Nouns קרה (qareh) and מקרה (miqreh) mean chance or accident, fortune or fate. Noun קרי (qeri) means opposition, contrariness. At a social level, chance meetings and opposition are the very rafters that carry society's roof.
For this same reason, the nouns קריה (qiryah) and קרת (qeret) are the words for city and federation of cities.
Verb קרא (qara'), which is identical to the by-form of the previous, means to call or call near. Adjective קריא (qari') means called or summoned. Noun קריאה (qeri'a) means proclamation. And noun מקרא (miqra') means convocation or called assembly. The noun קרא (qore') describes a partridge; literally "a caller."
Judas was Rome itself, the good, the bad, the past and the future of mankind.
As for the rest:
Simon Peter=Who hears like a pebble
James=He Who Controls His Actions, He Who Hides His Will; "Poker Face"
Zebedee=The verb זבד (zabad) means to give and the noun זבד (zebed) means gift. Both these words are used only once, in Genesis 30:20. These words' more common equivalents come from the root נתן (natan).
John=graciousness without a price
Andrew= Manly, ManlinessMan Of Vows, Man Of Liberty
Philip=Lover Of Horse(s), He Who Leans On His Military Complex
Bartholomew=Son of Talmai, One of the Plowmen, or Son of Furrows according to Abarim-Publications' Dictionary of names. Another source offered Son of Him who Lets Down Water,
Matthew=
The shape-shifting verb נתן (natan) means to give in a broad bouquet of senses, from regular giving or bestowing, to setting or putting, to transforming one thing or situation into another.
This verb's three nouns מתן (mattan), מתנה (mattana) and מתת (mattat) all mean gift, again broadly ranging from a regular present to an offering to an innate talent (being "gifted").
Thomas=the atom
The masculine noun תאם (to'am) occurs over the whole Semitic spectrum, always meaning twin. It even appears to be related to the Greek noun τομη (tome), meaning a cutting or cleaving, which in turn comes from the verb τεμνω (temno), meaning to cut or cleave. These Greek words stem from the proto-Indo-European root tem- from which we also get our English words "tome" and "atom." From the Greek verb comes the noun περιτομη (peritome), meaning circumcision.
James son of Alphaeus= to traverse
The verb חלף (halap) describes a swift transition: a hurried traversal or change or renewal. Nouns חלף (helep) and חליפה (halipa) mean change or exchange. Noun חלוף (halop) denotes someone or something that passes through or by. Noun מחלף (mahalap) refers to a kind of utensil. Its feminine equivalent, מחלפה (mahalapa), denotes a hair-related item (like a comb?).
Thaddaeus= let Him be praised
Simon the Zealot=the hot fanatic
=
"The city slicker who hears like a pebble, but controls his actions and is gracious without a price, who is a man of his word, and is a steadfast friend to the rest, brings down the water the Gift of God, the Primary Spirit, and takes him out of bondage and across the desert. Let him be praised, listen to him and contract his passions."
The Values in Gematria are:
v. 13: Jesus went to a mountainside. The Number is 5364, הגוד, "the God..."
v. 14: He appointed twelve. The Number is 5380, הגף, "the limb, the wing, the hand..."
v. 15-16: And to have the authority...the truth, demons scream and yell lies all the time, we know that...the Number is 8375, חגזה, hagaza, "the race, the breed, the stem..."
v. 17: He gave them names, the Sons of Thunder; He baptized them. The Number is 6008, סאֶפֶסח, "He taught the Passover."
v. 18-19: And the one who betrayed Him. The Number is 9517, טהאז, taz, "The tears in the Eye of the Fountain."
=
"An organized lament or uproar like the buzzing of bees in the hive."
"The noun θορυβος (thorubos) means noise, tumult or uproar. The -βος (-bos)-part is a fairly common suffix of words that describe sound, which leaves the main trunk of our word clearly similar to the previous and explained by its origin in the PIE root "dren-", to drone — although this noun and the previous one probably diverged while still in a pre-Greek language, and were adopted as duo into Greek (what that language might have been is no longer clear, but perhaps the same mystery language that gave us the word θριαμβος, triambos, triumph; see below).
This noun and the previous one differ in that the previous one describes an organized expression of grief, whereas our present noun describes a confused noise of a disturbed crowd — both negative (roaring with angry revolt), or positive (cheering with enthused approval). In the classics, this word mostly referred to human crowds, but was also applied to stampeding herds, and even to a disturbed single human mind."
So the Disciples represent a kind of oath man must make to mankind. Should society fail to keep it to any of its citizens, we are supposed to organize and put a stop to it, like a colony of bees would attack another tribe of hostile insects passing through its territory.

Yes Vi's pitfighter era being a montage was sacrilege. I felt like Andrew Garfield in the social network when the montage was over I was like "no it...it CANT be! This is literally what we got in the trailer 😭"
I personally like the flashback but I agree. I genuinely feel like episode 5 is a turning point in the season. We stopped focusing on the world around us and we started focusing on the relationship stuff. Episode 6 is literally just singed ambessa and Caitlyn and then Viktor Vander jinx vi and Isha. We spend the whole episode in the commune, zaun is completely forgotten about. I'd even argue that there's a specific point WITHIN episode 5 that is THE turning point, not just the episode as a whole. And personally? I think it's the end of the episode, when the conflict between Vi and Jinx is immediately dropped for the sake of a feel-good moment
What was the point of no return for you in season two? Was there an exact moment for you where you realized the season wasn't going to turn around and pick up in quality, it was just going to be shitty?
