When Isabelle tells Daryl “je’ t’aime”, just like Peter does in Hook, Daryl doesn’t say it back, and the Tinkerbell analogy is complete. In Hook, the kiss Peter and Tinkerbell share only serves to awaken Peter’s memories, and remind him of the family he has left at home. Daryl needed to find himself again, but, like Robin Williams’ Peter, he needed to go to Neverland to do that.

I haven’t really talked about season 2 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon because I just honestly haven’t known what to say lol Major spoilers below!!

For some positivity, there were quite a few moments I really enjoyed. I’m very glad they didn’t kill off Ash; he was a cool addition and I hope we do see him again, even if it’s in a different show. I think the Caryl reunion was pretty well done and seeing them back together was what I’ve been waiting for. I also enjoyed that they took the time to finally focus on Carol’s trauma over losing Sophia. It felt like she was rarely “allowed” to acknowledge her after a few seasons of the main show, especially once she lost Lizzie, Mika and Henry 😭

However, I do feel like the season was pretty weak 😬 I don’t know why Norman hyped up the finale so much because… it was just not it. Cordon running off was also frustrating but I’m hoping we see him again in season 3 (he’s a big highlight of this series for me).

Don’t even get me started on what they did with Isabelle this season. Such a waste of an interesting character and it really just seems like she was a placeholder for until Carol showed up and then they tossed her away. It would be fine if her death had some sort of impact on the story but she was simply shanked after making the dumbest move ever and then Daryl and Laurent were kinda sad. So odd. Also, I fully realize that I said don’t get me started but then I got myself started.

I’ll tune in for season 3 because Daryl and Carol are two of my most beloved TWDU characters but I’m very disappointed and hope this was just one weak season 😬

Edit: I wanna add that I think 6 episodes is hurting the general storytelling and I cannot believe they’re sticking to 6 episodes for season 3 🤨😩

Seeing all the c@ryl's reacting to this season has made me laugh. Like lordy they are having the biggest tantrum because the two people who have been saying it's always been platonic FOR YEARS are ACTUALLY staying platonic AND THEY'RE LOSING THERE MINDS!

I actually really am enjoying DD season 2, I enjoy the growth for Daryl and him actually thinking he deserves happiness.

I enjoy Carols development, I enjoy Carol's character dealing with her past grief and on things she had to do to make sure she and her loved ones survived.

I've only watched up to episode 3 so far. Genets an Carols conversations throughout the episode was really enjoyable. Both doing the things they needed to do to get to where they are, just different ways.

Daryl showing fear for Isabelle an Laurent, this little family he created and wants to protect. I actually love it <3

And what's with the c@rylers saying this show has misogyny? Like where? I'm seeing the polar opposite. What type of show are they watching?

Also love the fact that Daryl got to say Fuck three times in one episode.

Anyways, I fucking love it an I can't wait for next episode.

I apologize he’s all I talk about but god. he hugged a couple of my friends after we won our championship and when he turned to me he hesitated, went for a high-five, but mid high-five seemed to make a decision and then hugged me. it was a little awkward but it was sweet and nice and I’m a little stupidly happy about it
