Buzzard sketch page! more of me talking about Bradford below!!
Been looking into star signs of fictional characters and they’re always somehow pretty dang accurate so!!! Uh here’s Bradford’s, and what I can get on him based on my initial interest with the making of Brass Mirror!
according to my definitely real calculations based on pure fact form the show /j he’s a Capricorn sun and a Pisces moon!!!! Which!!! Yeah that checks out for Bradford (if anyone was interested I made my Bradford’s birthday December 30th 19XX!)
what that means he’s by default Bradford (tm) , orderly, practical, have this self imposed responsibility for others, and ambitious. More on the self imposed responsibility, he’s more likely to worry and have anxiety around that, and can get overbearing with others or his work.
but on the other hand, the more secret part to Bradford is his moon sign, Pieces. Very emotional and influenced by his surroundings, and has quite the imagination! But this also could cause him to spiral deep if he’s not kept in check
…so Bradford is a little bit of his own cause of unease with certain things 😭😭😭 thanks to his youth, the part of him that latches on is his bad experiences, matched with his imagination, I just runs wild to the point that he’s gonna do something about it… and that just hangs on until adult hood, I wouldn’t be surprised if Bradford kept that spiraling thought about chaos during his schooling 😔
i do have other signs n stuff but this really just b a Bradford post huh/lh hdjshd I’ll maybe post about my new Brass ideas later and this new buzzard gal idea I have cooking in the back 🤔🤔🤔

Isabella Finch: Scrooge, I’m proud of you! You’re like the grandson I never had!
Bradford: Grammy, I’m you’re grandson, remember?
Isabella: Yes, but I had you.

Funnily enough, while I don’t think it was a good idea to have Bradford be Huey’s villain, I think it would’ve been interesting to have Isabella be Huey’s foil/villain.
Huey had very little interaction with a Scrooge compare to his brothers. (Only in the Lost Harp of Mervana that they actually bond, but the episode was focused on Webby and Beakley.) Have them bond over Isabella Finch and JWC.
While it’s true that Isabella is Scrooge’s hero, Huey is obsessed with the Junior Woodchuck. Scrooge talking about how great Isabella was as an adventurer to Huey that it causes him wanting to be more like her. Maybe too much like her, that he started to become obsessed with the adventuring and the missing mysteries. So obsessed that it started to hurt his family.
Have both Scrooge and Huey be challenged when finding out that the former great adventurer and creator of the JWC was not that great of a person. Finding out how she hurt people and her family through her adventures. Which would in turn have both Scrooge and Huey reflect their actions and learning to be come better from it.

someone once called Finch a evil/morally grey version of Della and I think about that a lot…

I have this ideia for a s3 of DuckTales rewrite for some weeks now and I decided to share a summarised version of it.
So I was thinking how we could tie the Isabella, Bradford and Huey plot more nicely so what if Bradford gets transformed back into a kid and tricks everyone into getting the lost mysteries for some weird ritual to get Isabella back (she is already dead but since most people don’t know what happened to her in her last adventure they believe in him) and at mcduck enterprises it takes some time to notice that Bradford disappeared because Bentley and Buford are doing the paperwork (through kid Bradford’s orders), on the other hand FOWL would still be in the race for the treasures even if they aren’t successful collecting the treasures because kid Brad plan is working and is making the family believe they’re winning. Huey would give more attention to Bradford because he’s technically the blueprint for the woodchucks so he wants to know and learn more about it, Brad uses this opportunity to manipulate (similar to the finale) everyone to the point it’s difficult to keep harmony between everyone.
In the end we get to Alexandria and everyone gets ambushed by FOWL and Bradford transforms himself back into adult (the plot twist!) and the rest…well I’m not sure how it would go yet but during the season we would get some clues about Bradford’s connections and by mid season we would start to notice many friends disappearing (if we go by the box kidnappings storyline).

I did not like how Bradford Buzzard was handled as the final antagonist.
The reason behind his whole villain backstory was because of the trauma he received adventuring with his own grandmother, Isabella Finch. His own grandmother, who didn't seem to care about her grandson’s wellbeing and instead focused on building her own legacy.
Bradford ended up going down a dark path because of Finch’s not so great parenting. Resulting in a form of unhealed generational trauma.
Well since adventuring became too much for him, that wasn’t ok. You could’ve just taken breaks after your latest expeditions to give him time to physically and emotionally recover. Or let him stay with family relatives you’re close with while you’re adventuring. It is not that hard!
Well instead the narrative has the protagonists, the Duck family invalidate his trauma and his ideals that challenges the series’ status quo. Resulting in the plot emphasizes to the audience over and over it’s the reason why“he’s evil” and “he’s a villain” in the finale. It didn’t help that Angones and Youngberg had conflicting ideas on handling his character together. His unresolved trauma just served to make him a megalomaniac murderer who gets defeated with a piece of mystical papyrus, and ends up getting literally dehumanized. UUuuuugggghh. I really hated that he got turned into a literal vulture, look I haven’t seen the finale (the final episodes of season 3 made me softly rage quit watching the series) I already read spoilers on the wiki, but that fate to me made it seem like the easy way out for him and it seemed like rushed writing at the last minute. The ducktales reboot wasn’t the best at giving their end season antagonists the right consequences, Magica ended up running away from the Money Bin and Lunaris orbits the freaking earth!
What’s worse is that the perception of Isabella Finch hasn't changed. Heck Scrooge’s admiration of her should’ve devolved into something Parasocial and he could’ve gotten a character arc where he reevaluates his ideals. Y’know if they had a next season!
I did understand that Bradford’s experience is what drove him to cross lines, I just didn’t like how the writers handled him in the end. I really hated that Finch didn’t acknowledge the consequences of how her constant adventures affected her grandson's wellbeing, and she ended up doing nothing to help him before she seemingly passed.
Also re: status quo being king and the supposed inherent virtues of Adventure™, I think Bradford’s fate really exemplifies Ducktales’ weaknesses in those regards.  When you have an antagonist challenging the validity of your protagonists’ values, even if those values are something as postcard-shallow as “family is the greatest adventure of all!”, then you kinda need to address that challenge in a meaningful and even-handed way.  Even if the writers wanted Bradford to be totally wrong about the status quo — if they wanted to say that yes, the Duck’s wacky adventures and the chaos they spread are an absolute net positive in the world — there was a pretty obvious way to show that without giving him a gratuitous kill count and a weirdly horrifying fate.  Just let him become the cartoon villain he keeps denying he is and then integrate him into the status quo.  Don’t make him a “lame” villain that even other villains make fun of and then trap him indefinitely as a mindless animal, that’s just mean!  And lazy!  And doesn’t address his surface-level concerns or his deeper motivations at all!!

Chapter 5: Blaise Zabini and the journey to the Hufflepuff common room
Series Masterlist
Blaise doesn’t frequently feel genuine hatred for people but there was no better way to describe
how he felt towards Dumbledore when he heard him rumble, “Prefects, lead your Houses back to the dormitories immediately!” after learning that a troll was in the dungeons.
You know, where the Slytherin dorms are.
Are you fucking kidding me?
Immediately all the Slytherins turned to their prefects, sixth years William Selwyn and Aliyah Fawley. “Where are we supposed to go?” cried Milicent Bulstrode from further down the table, as William tried to reach Professor Snape and Aliyah did her best to calm the terrified Slytherins.
They settled on bringing everyone up to the seventh floor to hide in an abandoned classroom, which proved far more difficult than it should have been given the staircases moving at their own accord. By the time Blaise reached the fourth floor he was separated from the mass of Slytherins who didn’t notice his departure in their haste. The staircases then choose to avoid him, moving as far away from him as possible. Blaise rushed down a familiar corridor passing a stack of barrels and running to the portrait of fruit. He was suddenly dragged backwards by a hand pulling on his arm. Turning to see who on earth was holding him back from salvation in the kitchens, he met eyes with Isabella who continued to pull him back towards the barrels. She quickly tapped on the barrels which opened to reveal a winding staircase.
“Go go go go!” Isabella urged as she pushed him down the stairs following closely behind him.
“Reyes, I’m 95 percent sure this is kidnapping.” Blaise said relaxing now that he was out in the open.
“Blaise shut up and keep walking before I drag you to the dungeons and feed you to the troll myself.” she threatened, keeping her hand firmly on his back, forcing him forward.
After descending what Blaise could only describe as an ungodly amount of stairs, they reached a large wooden door which swung open as they approached. “Welcome to the Home of the Hufflepuffs.” Isabella sang with a smug tone as she saw Blaise’s eyes widen.
What lay before him was a large room, two stories with a high sloped ceiling. The walls were a light brown and had vines and plants naturally growing on them. Pillars from the first floor all the way to the second, wooden archways connecting them together are also overcome with vines. The second story was adorned with a balcony allowing for an outlook of the entire first floor. The balconies had plants dropping over their edges as well. The first floor had several black couches, armchairs, tables, and desks accompanied with many throw pillows and blankets ( some black others in varying shades of yellow). The second had several hallways which Blaise assumed led to the Hufflepuff dormitories and a vast window charmed similarly to the ceiling in the Great Hall. The center of the first floor had a fire pit with a gold fire that crackled gently providing plenty of warmth for the common room without endangering the plants surrounding the room.
“The fire never dies, only decreasing and increasing as necessary.”, informed Isabella’s voice as she gently guided him into the common room and to a couch by his hand. “You can hide out here until we get word from the professors saying that it's safe.”
“Right.” is all Blaise could say as he realized he felt more comfortable in the seconds he’s been in the Hufflepuff common room than he’s ever felt in the Slytherin’s.
“I’m going to go let Noah know that you’re here, okay? Just hang out here and make yourself at home.”, with a soft smile she climbed the stairs and disappeared down a hallway.
Now alone Blaise let himself sink into the couch and reached for a pastel yellow throw blanket, covering himself with it.
If Malfoy saw me like this he’d make my life hell, Blaise thought to himself as his eyes drooped, falling into a deep sleep.
Blaise awoke to the sound of pages turning and Frank Sinatra's smooth voice declaring his love.
You are my way of life, the only way I know, you are my way of life
I’ll never let you go.
Opening his eyes he saw that he was now joined by Isabella who was reading The Tales of Beedle the Bard on the other side of the couch. “How long was I asleep?”
She looked over at a clock embedded into the wall, “Just over two hours. They found the troll by the way. Noah, that's our boy Prefect, told Professor Sprout about you. Professor Sprout let Snape know that you were here, she told me to make sure you knew you could stay for as long as you like.``
“That’s nice.” Blaise responded, settling back into the couch.
“If you want you can stay and meet the others tomorrow morning.”
“Yeah whatever you say Reyes.” he muttered as sleep consumed him again.
That’s how Blaise found himself here, in the kitchens at 6am (an hour before his scheduled wake up time) wearing the same clothes as the day before eating breakfast with some of the Hufflepuffs of his year. “How exactly do you all know the elves again?” Blaise asked as he blew on his porridge.
“Part of the induction into Hufflepuff is introducing yourself to the elves since we are so close to the kitchens.” clarified Wayne Hopkins, a quiet boy that Blaise had noticed was consistently overlooked in class.
“Everybody in Hufflepuff knows the elves.” Ernie Macmillan added unnecessarily, given that is just what Wayne said.
“Do you guys always wake up this early?” he questioned, rubbing his eyes.
“No,” Isabella said with conviction, staring intensely at her eggs with bacon “thankfully.” she added under her breath clearly offended by how early it was.
“Whenever we eat in the kitchens Megan likes to wake us up extra early so that we aren’t in the way of the elves.” Susan Bones explained.
Susan was a kind girl, the type of person to bring people into conversations whenever she felt they were being left out. Blaise could admire this trait… so long as she never attempted to do the same to him.
“It's only fair since we are asking them to cook for us separately from everyone else.” Megan Jones exclaimed indignantly. Everyone grew quiet at this, it seemed as though they had already had this discussion several times before.
“Where is Smith?”
Zacharias Smith was the kind of person that Blaise didn’t like. Not to the degree of Malfoy but certainly getting there. He was obnoxious and the type of person to insert himself into situations he did not need to be in.
“Oh, he didn’t want to come with us.” Justin Finch-Fletchley confessed with a mischievous smile that told Blaise he hadn’t tried very hard to convince Smith to join. Blaise quickly decided he didn’t mind Finch-Fletchley.
In fact, by the time they had finished eating Blaise decided he didn’t mind the group at all. He enjoyed seeing the group interact with each other, how the girls defended Wayne when Ernie kept repeating everything he said but louder, how Reyes would lightly make fun of them with no bite to her words and everyone seemed to understand that was just how she was.
Maybe it wouldn’t have been the worst thing to be sorted into Hufflepuff, Blaise accepted as he dragged his feet back down to the dungeons and away from the welcoming Hufflepuffs.
Author's notes: this chapter is short as hell but I feel it is a good enough introduction to the Hufflepuffs and the common room. We are going to see a lot more of them so hopefully this was a good foundation. As always comment to share thoughts and like if you enjoy, thank you for reading. ALSO thank you for all the support, the comments, the likes and the reblogs are so encouraging so thank you.

Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I think that Donald really needed someone like Daisy in his life and May and June are probably really, really grateful to Donald for letting them accompany him on that boat trip at the end of the episode ‘The Last Adventure! Part 3: Tale’s End…’. After all, as shown in the episode ‘The Golden Spear!’, almost everyone else in Donald’s family really loved adventuring while he just wanted to relax. But, as shown in the episode ‘Louie’s Eleven!’, Daisy seems to be pretty grounded compared to most of Donald’s family. So, Donald would really enjoy having someone like her in his life even more for it. And as for why I think May and June are really, really for Donald letting them accompany him on that boat trip, May and June have been through a lot since, as shown in the episode ‘The Last Adventure! Part 2: The Lost Library Of Isabella Finch!’, they were clones who were treated badly by Black Heron and, as shown in the episode ‘The Last Adventure! Part 3: Tale’s End…’, who Bradford considered to be nothing but pawns to be cast aside. So, they probably needed a relaxing time away from it all.

Been thinking about Ducktales 2017 again and needed a quick Brad doodle done during my break
Tumblr media
anyways so I made my own hc timeline thing using some bits of the show as guides under the cut!!
• Modern Bradford - working for Scrooge with his “brothers”, the rest of the events in the show continue
• 2010 distances Scrooge more
• 2000 and up, still working for McDuck but also expands FOWL, works on distancing Scrooge from his family
• 1990 CFO for McDuck and apart of the Board of Directors with his “brothers”
• 1980 looking more like modern Bradford now, has attended Scrooges Christmas party with his “brothers”, almost gets caught during a FOWL mission but doesn’t, leaves shush for McDuck enterprise to work closer to Scrooge
• 1970 A trusted shush worker and worked behind their backs to make fake brothers (?)
• 1960 Bradford just started working for shush
• 1950 Bradford graduated school and got recommended to shush from his grandma
• 1940 Bradford was in his studies
• 1920 Bradford most likely left to live with his mother again, Isabella published her books (?)
• 1910 Bradford adventured with Isabella finch
• 1900 birth and very young Bradford
also just like, I’m reaaally stretching it with the Clone Bros they just sorta appear during the Christmas episode in the past so like??? Only conclusion he made the clone bros around that time behind shush or used shush materials to help him out, also i skimmed the show so like hdjshd I’m pretty much here for Brad, very sorry if this looks like it doesn’t line up I’m really just here making up my own story dhjshdhs

I like think Bradford created fanfiction(?) where his parents where still alive through his childhood and he never went on adventures with Finch and like, these self indulgent pieces of fiction are very important to him. Basically like comfort media for him, though he’d never call it that.
And I also like to think Bentley and Bulford could actually have found them and had a very awkward scene with Bradford.

Just remembered some Hc from that collection about bradford and Isabella
I don’t remember the exact tags anymore lol
But here it is HC number IDK:
-Brad had considered and shown interest in becoming a Historian and archeologist (on his own limits) during his younger years and sometimes during adulthood…but usually he gets reminded on why he didn’t choose those paths
-Isabella only decided to retire and disappear from the public eye because she got annoyed by the sensationalism produced by many journalists about her (it was getting out of control)
-whenever an Isabella structure from Woodchuck island breaks they have to call Bradford so he can explain how it works/somehow fix it because Isa just refuses to tell others how her machinery/systems works
-Brad just kept renovating his licenses to pilot planes, boats, helicopters, cars just in case he needs it (First of all Isa made him get each license back in the day because you never know when you need someone to “take the wheel”
-he is in a group chat with every other adventurer children from his generation, he ignores them all while the others keep in touch. The group has the grandchildren and children of many historians, archivists, adventurers, archeologists, business people…
Basically those kids were related to friends and rivals of Isa but he didn’t get close to any of them. They still annoy him by calling and asking for stuff and his opinion but he just gives a quick answer
That’s it for now byeeeee

Huey: Ugh, I *knew* I shouldn’t have volunteered to go into Dr. Gearloose’s universal portal. I don’t even know where the heck I’m supposed to be.
{he notices a sign that says “Welcome to Brighton”}
Huey: Brighton? Never heard of it. I guess I should-ah! Flesh-faced monsters!
{he looks around to see humans everywhere}
Huey: I was not expecting *this*. I gotta get out of here!
Molly: Hey, are you alright?
Huey: Ahhh!
Molly: Whoa, calm down. I’m not gonna, you know, hurt you or anything.
Huey: Sorry. It’s just, I haven’t had the best interactions with your kind before. And by that, I mean bloodthirsty flesh-faced monsters.
Molly: You mean-humans?
Huey: Is that what you’re called?
Molly: Yeah! And honestly, we’re not all bad. If anything, I should be scared of you, a three-foot-tall talking duck!
Huey: Are you, though?
Molly: Me? Pffft! Heck no! Now, if you were a three-foot-tall *spider*…that would be a different story. Ooh, what’s that in your hand?
Huey: It’s a handheld portal maker. Dr. Gearloose made it. It’s how I got here.
Molly: Whoa, you’re from another universe? That’s so cool! Why don’t you stay for a bit?
Huey: Well, Dr. Gearloose *did* want me to look around and report my findings…
Molly: That’s the spirit! Pun unintended. {whispers} My best friend is a ghost.
Huey: Honestly, you remind me a lot of my friend Webby. Super excitable and into the paranormal.
Molly: That’s funny, because you’re a lot like my friend Libby. Very curious and into a lot of interesting things.
Huey: Thanks, I’m glad you find this interesting…I’m sorry, I didn’t get your name.
Molly: Oh! Sorry. {sticks out hand} I’m Molly McGee!
Huey: {shakes Molly’s hand} Huey Duck.
Molly: So, Huey, what kind of stuff are you into?
Huey: Are you familiar with…the Junior Woodchucks?
Molly: Well, Brighton does have a scout troop, but not that one, so…no. I’d love to hear more, though.
Huey: Perfect! So, the Junior Woodchucks were founded by Isabella Finch (who was a finch, by the way), and…
