D'y'all ever have a song that you can't listen to unless the Moment calls? Like, it just has so much emotional ressonance, that it cannot be played without reverence?

I found a flute version of Hanyou Lullaby, and OH MY FUCKING GODDDD. CHILLS LIKE A HYPOTHERMIC. I like to listen to particularly emotional songs right before I sleep, but even that, I can't. It feels sacreligious. I HAVEN'T EVEN HEARD THE FUCKING ORIGINAL HANYOU LULLABY.

god, inuyasha is going to either be the reason I live or the reason I die. Both I find embarassing.

I have nothing prepared for the prompt of today, but since the start is with Inuyasha I feel obliged to share at least my love for his epic theme, a true masterpiece able not only to teleport you back in time to the Feudal Japan just like the Bone-Eaters Well does, but so amazingly fitting for Inuyasha as character. It really gives that kind of vibes of "Don't let go!" and also has in it something slightly melancholy.

(God I even set it as ringtone on my cell phone! Alarmingly obsessed!).

Okay, but that second kimono is such a look and I kinda prefer it over her usual flower patterned one now, lol. I did very little shading- just wanting to set the mood better for certain expressions.

Behold! Irene's many outfits over the course of the fic, including one that's still yet to happen. She starts out in her green turtleneck, before ending up in the priestess clothes due to a misunderstanding, only to settle on the blue kimonos Lord Sesshomaru gives her after she joins his group because, uh, her priestess clothes were in tatters thanks to Kohaku and Kagura. The long-haired blue kimono is for the Final Act.

Oh. You also have Anastasia in the corner, lol, who brought Irene to the Feudal Era in the first place. Irene mostly uses her Shikigami flames to fight- having a habit of hurling fireballs or just grabbing the face of an attacking demon and melting them like the reckless bean she is- instead of calling on the spirits themselves, but her powers are better suited for healing/support.

(Note: Irene is not Japanese. She is American.)

OMFGGGGGG. Listening to the InuYasha soundtrack on soundcloud as I look for a download for opening 1, and by god I keep getting chills. IT'S JUST SO GOOD. I really can't describe it in a way that does it justice, and to be fair, I can see from the outside how it wouldn't be anything special - but when you think of it from the perspective of the series? I can't even think of a follow up to that. The emotions that form in me are far beyond the - what I'd like to describe as rather large - vocabulary I possess. I may give the InuYasha anime a lot of shit, and I may mock Sunrise incredulously, but by God, I really have to give credit where credit is due. Nothing else hits quite the same way. God, play this shit at my funereal.

edit: GOD I WANNA FUCKING HIT SOMETHING IT'S SO FUCKING GOOD.

Likely in hindsight it's pretty obvious I came to this conclusion, but now I know for sure that my second favorite Inuyasha's ending song is Every heart. Although, if we count the four movies too then it finishes third immediately after Rakuen by Do as Infinity.

My question at this point is... Since it goes without saying that actually no one gives a damn fuck about Rin as part of that "family", why on earth Sumisawa had to pick her as Sesshomaru's wife? Yashahime is such a mess that it wouldn't have made any difference introducing another new random character not so well developed, but at the very very very least one single thing would've been saved, that is, Rin and her relationship with Sesshomaru. Everyone in both anime and manga says that she's "too young"/"more like a sister" to her daughters, then why don't let her be that, Towa's and Setsuna's big sister?

does anyone else have songs that theyre like "ok. this time i wont cry about this song" and then they listen to it and their damn eyes get freakin wet... for me its strobe light rebellion of the arc fox last theater and this one tlos spyro 3 soundtrack and probably more. 2016 feels so little time ago i still find it odd how i went from crying only twice in one year to returning to being emotional LOL

Another great episode! MAPPA doing an amazing job of bringing that 80s anime vibe to a modern audience, just like David Pro did for UY, PLUS that Inuyasha esque OST(same composer!) just makes everything even better. This really does feel like a blast from the past, of the good old days of anime.

This week’s episode title of “I hate men” is so real, love my misandrist queen Akane so much 😭 and considering she gotta deal with a pack of hungry dudes trying to fight her everyday before class to win her heart, I do not blame her at all. That’s gotta be beyond annoying lmao. And it’s all cause of Kuno. I guess he’s gonna be this series’ mendo?

Dude is hilarious though, I like the old fashioned samurai gimmick he’s got going on and well if he likes strong girls, it’s no surprise he fell for Ranma. Two episodes in and we got our first confession. I’m sure in time Ranma’s gonna form a nice little harem as a boy and a girl lmao, can’t wait to see where this goes.
