002/100 Days Of Productivity - 13082023
I have a love-and-hate relationship with Sundays. I feel like it’s a day when you can rest but also take care of yourself and your home, which can mean the same thing sometimes.
This morning I went to the grocery store, and I cooked a delicious Italian oven pasta for lunch. I also called my mom.
Tonight I worked with my bestie on our projects, and it feels good.
Things I need to do and did:
Make a nice desktop set-up for my pc
Clean my pc and iPad
Create that notion template
Find a job
Finish that book

International Student Drivers – Updated Licensing Rules for 2025
Introduction: Canada attracts students from all over the world to its renowned educational institutions. If you're an international student in Canada and planning to drive, there are new rules to be aware of in 2025. These rules aim to streamline the licensing process, making it easier and quicker for students to obtain the necessary permits.
Tumblr media
Key Points:
License Eligibility for International Students: International students can now apply for a driver’s license in Canada during their study program, subject to certain criteria. The license is valid for the duration of the student's stay and may be renewed if their study program extends. Check eligibility criteria at your local service center or online.
Updated Timeline for Licensing Process: Under the new rules, international students can complete their G1, G2, and full G tests in a faster timeline, eliminating waiting periods that previously existed. This will help students get on the road sooner, providing more flexibility and reducing barriers for those needing transportation during their studies.
Permits and Road Test Changes: Students from foreign countries can exchange their foreign driver’s licenses for a Canadian one, based on the reciprocal agreements between Canada and their home countries. Additionally, international students are now required to undergo a modified road test that accounts for differences in driving styles, which is a great way to ensure safety on Canadian roads.
Supporting Resources for International Students: Several provinces have introduced programs that offer language support during road tests and written exams. Resources such as licenseprep.ca provide study materials tailored to international students, helping them understand the local driving rules, road signs, and other essential knowledge.
Safety Tips for International Drivers: It’s essential for international students to familiarize themselves with Canadian road rules, especially if they come from countries with different driving standards. Before getting behind the wheel, students should take some time to review traffic regulations and safety precautions. Apps like licenseprep.ca offer a comprehensive set of practice tests and guides to prepare for the driving exams.

Words cannot describe how lonely it can get as a foreign student. Its been EIGHT (8) years since I met people from the same nationality. Sometimes I feel like I have no friends, completely all by myself.
Honestly I dont know what Im expecting by creating this tumblr account, maybe someone on the other side of the internet feels the same. I'll be sharing all of my cringe shit here, let that be drawings, stories, or my thoughts.

My Last Days in Valencia 🌅
Leaving Valencia has been bittersweet, but I wanted to share some of my favorite memories from my last days in this beautiful city.
Work at ASV
Working on the diplomas for the graduating seniors at ASV was an unexpected highlight. I got to put the official stamp on each diploma, scan them, and then upload them to Google Drive. It was really entertaining and fulfilling to contribute to such an important milestone for the students.

Last day at the beach :(
One of our final days in Valencia was spent at the beach, watching the sunset. The sky was painted with the most beautiful colours. It was a perfect way to say goodbye to the city.

Back in Belgium
Now that I'm back in Belgium, I find myself missing the warm weather and the amazing people I met in Valencia. There's something special about the city that has left a lasting impression on me, and I can't wait to visit again someday.
Hasta luego, Valencia! 🌞

013/100 Days Of Productivity - 24082023
What a busy day. First I had to go to my workplace to give my documents, and when I tell you travelling there took me more time than giving out the papers, trust me. Then, I had to run to send my university documents to the SFE, as I woke up late and missed the collection time.
Things I need to do and did:
Clean my room
Clean the kitchen
Send university documents out

Things no one warned me about before I moved to the London, UK for university:
1. Working part time and studying full time is absolutely draining but feels so good
2. I will not be the same as before and some stuff will be different, and struggling to communicate with friends back home will happen, the most important thing is to keep an open eye
3. No one cares about what you do, wear or say as long as you're harming no one. Everyone is way too busy especially in London.
4. It's okay not to achieve the best grade in history. This is all knew, i am learning. It's okay.
5. Unidays is the way to go.
6. Be proud of yourself no matter what. This change needs flexibility and that alone is hard enough.
7. Always remember what you're here for especially when times get harder

Can You Drive on a Student Permit in Canada?
Introduction:
Student permits are often confused with driver’s licenses, but in Canada, a student permit has specific limitations. Understanding whether or not you can drive on a student permit is crucial for students planning to drive in Canada.
Tumblr media
Key Points:
1. Student Permit Eligibility A student permit is typically issued for international students or those on a study permit in Canada. This permit allows you to stay in the country for your studies but does not automatically grant you driving privileges. You must first meet the requirements set by your province’s licensing authority.
2. Can You Drive with a Student Permit? A student permit itself does not grant you the right to drive unless you also hold a valid driver’s license from your home country. In most cases, you can drive using an international driver’s permit or a foreign driver’s license for a limited time. However, after this period, you must either obtain a Canadian driver’s license or convert your foreign license.
3. Restrictions on Driving While holding a student permit, you are still bound by the same restrictions as any other foreign driver in Canada. This includes adhering to the provincial rules on driving and ensuring that you meet the necessary age and medical requirements for getting a Canadian driver’s license.
4. Applying for a Canadian License as a Student If you plan to stay in Canada for a longer period, you’ll eventually need to apply for a Canadian driver’s license. Depending on the province, you may be able to exchange your foreign license, or you may need to take both a written and road test.
5. Using a Student Permit for Vehicle Rental In Canada, renting a car on a student permit is possible if you hold a valid international driver’s license or a foreign driver’s permit. However, rental agencies may have their own age or permit restrictions, so check ahead of time.

How can I find accommodation while studying abroad?
Tumblr media
Finding suitable accommodation while studying abroad is one of the most important steps to ensure a comfortable and successful academic experience. Overseas Education Wala, a trusted name in the realm of study abroad consulting, offers comprehensive support to help you secure the best living arrangements in your host country. Here’s a detailed guide on how to find accommodation while studying abroad, with insights on how Overseas Education Wala can assist you throughout the process.
Types of Accommodation
1. University Dormitories: Most universities offer on-campus housing for international students. Dormitories are a convenient option as they are located close to academic buildings, provide opportunities to meet fellow students, and often come with meal plans.
2. Private Rentals: Renting a private apartment or house is another option, providing more independence and privacy. This can be more suitable for students who prefer a quieter environment or those who wish to share accommodation with friends.
3. Homestays: Living with a local family can be a great way to immerse yourself in the culture and improve language skills. Homestays often provide meals and a family-like environment, which can be comforting for students far from home.
4. Shared Apartments: Shared apartments, often called flatshares, are popular among students. You share the cost of rent and utilities with roommates, which can be more affordable than renting a private apartment.
Steps to Find Accommodation
1. Start Early: Begin your search as soon as you receive your university acceptance letter. Housing options can fill up quickly, especially in popular student cities.
2. Research Your Options: Use university websites, student forums, and housing portals to explore available options. Overseas Education Wala provides resources and advice on the best platforms to use for your specific destination.
3. Budgeting: Determine your budget for accommodation. Consider rent, utilities, internet, and other living expenses. Overseas Education Wala can help you understand the typical costs in your chosen city and suggest budget-friendly options.
