finally finished the dorian/inquisitor wiki page!!

Today I offer you one of my Inquisitors, Lukadris Lavellan.

She was created almost 10 years ago, but somehow never got art on digital. I drew her obsessively in my notebook in high school, so it was nice to draw her again in my artstyle. Of course she's a mage and romanced Solas lol

Information about Dragon Age Veilguard triggered a lot of new emotions in me about this series XD I will probably draw my other Inquisitors like Aadar in some time 🥰

Alright weve all seen "young inquisitor" "teen inquisitor" "kid inquisitor"

But have we considered Actual Baby Inquisitor tho. Like, companions have to carry around a 1 year old. Maybe younger. This baby seals rifts and it's parents probably fucking died in the conclave.

There is constant arguing about what risks are and are not exceptable in Taking Infant To Obvious Danger vs Fate Of Thedas. There is also constant arguing about what the fuck happens to the kid AFTER the breach is sealed. Maybe the chantry buys into the herald thing with a tiny newborn to groom for the position and no shady past. Chantry swears the infant being given and raised in the safety and education and love of the chantry would be best, and maybe a fuck all amount of people wanna steal the baby and groom them themselves too.

Constant fighting over who holds the baby in a fight while closing a rift.

Josephine has to maybe hire a fucking breast maiden to nurse this infant. Corepheus shows up and tries to litterally kill this baby and the inqusition and companions lose their FUCKING minds tryna protect an infant. They fail and think corepheus kills the kid but then they find the kid in a blizzard somehow still alive and litterally everyone gets beyond paranoid that this kid may actually be god sent because Holy Shit? Holy shit a baby just survived a *second* near death experience in a calamaity?

Varric nicknames the baby "Lucky" and the companions dont have a Fucking Name for this baby and they all come up with names and shit but all kinda adopt Varric's nickname for the sake of ease while still bitterly using Their Name as the Kid's "Real" Name, lucky is just a Nickname obviously.

Solas has to rip off a babies arm and maybe he fucking Reconsiders His Shitty Choices but probably not.

As far as "inquisitor choices" like allying with the mages or the templars and such and so fourth, maybe the other Inquisitor Candidates- Aadar and Lev and etcetc- also survived but they dont have marks and are just Named Inquisitor by their own skill or some shit but this Baby is the Herald and the Inqusitor is not our main character it is this BABY.

Can you IMAGINE the day to day stressful shit of the inquisition but every now and again someone goes "oh maker, Lucky just said their first word and it was 'murder', what are we going to do we're exposing this kid to idiots" or "no, their favorite food is CLEARLY mashed apple, NOT mashed carrot!" or "hey someone give the herald of andraste a boob, they look hungry"

im curious, obviously the assimilation thing thats going on with lavellan is suuuuuper gross (its kinda there on a lesser level with aadar and cadash too but lavellan is the most obvious afaik). do u think that the story could work while just erasing the religious side so that gross stuff can be removed a bit? itd give more room to just focus on the political stuff too.

I personally would have certainly preferred if the game didn’t really pound you over the head with so much Chantry stuff, yeah. Like, if your character denies being the Herald of Andraste and speaks out against the Chantry, actually have people respect that, instead of having the Inquisitor suffer through people painting them as something they’re not, and really, an insult to their culture.

All gone again in ash that sometimes when they look outside skyhold they see the snow and all they can think of is all the ash they’ve seen and the terrible forbading sense there’s so much more to see

You ever remember Varric saying “you people have done enough to [Hawke] already” and just wanna sob?

You ever imagine Hawke waking up screaming in the middle of the night from another nightmare that’s mostly memory, and Varric being there to calm them down and bring them back to reality?

Hawke going off the grid and Varric is the only one that manages to keep in touch and know what’s going on

Hawke being so quiet and more responsible than usual and it killing Varric because this is HAWKE they dance drunk on the tables of The Hanged Man, they punch stone golems with no gauntlets on, they sneak a mabari into their fancy hightown manor and get dirty pawprints everywhere, they form big cuddle piles with the whole gang, they certainly DO NOT spend all their time alone and pensive wondering about the fate of the world and their role in it

Hawke volunteers to die in the fade so quickly and for a second Varric sees the possibility of losing his dearest friend not just to some fade monster but…to their own self-loathing and guilt

You ever imagine platonic soul mates Varric and Hawke camping out in the middle of nowhere, Varric telling wild tall tales to make Hawke laugh again for the first time in years?

I’m waiting for my new tablet pen to get here so that means I’m dicking around in Procreate again. The thing I like best about Procreate is that I can make these little WIP videos with like...Zero effort. Above is another draft of my Qunari Inquisitor, who I am still messing with. I like making really ill-looking and frail heroes. I don’t even know why. I’d say it was a Theon thing but I was drawn to sick looking people even before him...I have a weird preoccupation with diseases, I know. Anyway his name is Tobias and he’s actually pretty uncomfortable with being ethnically Qunari because everyone treats him like shit for a culture and religion he basically knows nothing about. He’s also a mage. So...He’s also not too thrilled about what the Qunari do to their mages. Like I said, I’m still messing with him. I’m just going to keep messing around like I said until the tablet pen is delivered and I can get back to Real Work.
