Dear English fans,
Utatane Piko and SF-A2 Miki are NOT siblings!
Here’s what I mean:
(I just discovered this misinformation spread because of an old talkloid shitpost on YouTube and I’m responding to this from the perspective of the Japanese fandom. These two are not well known overseas but on Nico Nico Douga, 9 times out of 10, they’re often shipped together. Gobou-P and Mahiruno-P are great examples. While there’s nothing inherently wrong with it; it’s a cute headcannon for them to be brother and sister, but it’s typically unusual. Allow me to explain for the sake of my talkloid series and in general.)
Yes, Utatane Piko and SF-A2 Miki were owned initially by the same company called HEARTFAST back in 2008-2009. This company went bankrupt and the site no longer exists. That much is true.
Miku and Luka are siblings in the sense that they’re both from Crypton and were also originally meant to be counterparts, but those two are completely different and are not “blood related”.
Miki’s quality took a hit from the lack of funding hence her infamous pitching (ta, wa, etc.) and volume issues (soft a, i, loud o, e), even though at the time she had a wider range than Miku and was among one of the most realistic banks. I think Miki tuners should take pride; because if you can tune her, then it’s very worth it and it makes using newer banks feel like a breeze.
Piko got luckier with quality but he also suffers some phoneme clipping issues, like the N\ squeak or his dampened “da” and “ga”.
It was an awful shame they got split up and overshadowed by other releases. I don’t know if we could petition AHS to purchase Piko from Sony today but we could try. His provider is still active and well, and survived a kidney transplant thanks to his mother.
The Voice Providers:
Miki Furukawa from the band Supercar and later LAMA is from Hachinohe in Aomori Prefecture. (That’s in northern Japan just under the shores of Hokkaido.) She was born February 19th, 1979. Her signature bass guitar is the rare Yamaha SBV-800MF (SB-5a/7a and SBV-550) in blue.
Piko, on the other hand, is from Kobe, in the Kansai region just south of Tokyo (yes, he has the accent!). He was born March 11th, 1988. His start to fame was covering classic vocaloid songs since Supercell’s “Love is War” on Nico Nico (Douga) and the amazing fact that he could sing as both genders with his best friend Sekihan (who has his own band). He’s physically very attractive and is still mistaken for a girl in short glimpses (this is his main selling point, to his amusement), but he has made it clear in interviews that he is not gay and likes women (in fact, he’s very quick to remove a heavy wig). If he does “drag” then I’ve noticed it’s usually in a funny trolling sense for Halloween or for a specific performance.
I’ve been listening these two practically my whole life along with Yuri Masada and Fukase from Sekai no Owari, because I’m a music junky, and they’re absolutely worth looking into.
Piko and Miki are almost a decade and half a nation apart, they were only under the same music label Ki/oon Records for a while. They’ve most likely never even met.
If they have met, I’ve rarely if ever heard Piko speak of his bank, let alone Miki. I know he is a little salty towards Sony (like most of us) and has a copy of his own bank, and he's made music with Miku, Gumi, Rin/Len before (Chuutoro-P). Piko is still doing music work, streams, and YouTube now. Miki’s getting her SynthV release in December 2024 and she is living her life lowkey, sometimes doing small live shows or collaborations with her former band mates.
(In my series I decided to make them 1 year apart similar to their release dates.)
Their Designs:
While they are counterparts, no part of them is essentially “blood related”.
Piko’s iconic hair is the same as his mother’s to honour her, Utatane’s cowlick is just to differentiate.
Vocaloid Miki was about to have the similar short hair as in real life. I know this because I bought her artbook with KYMG’s concept designs. Supercar made a lot of laid back rock and shoegaze, space-like/romantic songs you could groove out/fall asleep to, hence her space theme. Furukawa has a cover of Saihate so you could tell she enjoyed Miku’s kz/Livetune era with songs like “Light Song” and “Packaged” (2008).
Piko’s entire design is specifically based on the discontinued (sigh) Yamaha RGX-A2 electric guitar in aircraft grey (other colours red, black, and dark blue), the aux jack to usb tail on the hem of his outfit falls with the computer instrument metaphor. His provider's mascot is called "pikochu" (like Pikachu) so the electric mouse theme is there too (he started out liking Pokemon, after all). It makes sense the two would be guitar and bass, since Miki is primarily a bassist who can sing and use a keyboard.
These two also have the same robotic joint markings, Piko’s are just harder to see because of his black sleeves and because his legs are covered, but people forget the elbow areas on his sleeves are transparent (probably due to Miku's influence).
In conclusion:
Yamaha (I believe) wanted to launch an experimental “Artist Edition” series at the time based on real musicians. The voices were Miki (Furukawa), Piko, Gakupo Kamui (Gakt), and Lily (Yuri Masada). If there were others, I don’t remember, but the “development code” thing was likely Heartfast’s idea pertaining to this theme by giving the two prototype sci-fi joints.
If the western fandom’s definition of “siblings” is by same company umbrella, then I accept that. Otherwise, I personally ship them very hard here because they’re totally unrelated and my goal is to give them the love they deserved and spread the word.
I hope this historical rant was educational.

hey i saw your requests are open and i have the BIGGEST dad levi brainrot rn, can i request Levi and Reader in a long term relationship, reader’s sibling has a newborn kid and reader takes care of the kid and Levi sees how motherly reader is being, how would he react? i’m curious about what you think!
AN: Ohhhhhh I love some Dad!Levi, I’ve got at least two or three fic ideas with eventual Dad!Levi, so it’ll be good to dip my toe into the waters a little earlier than I otherwise would have :D I had these two little short scenes almost immediately come to mind when I read this and while I was at work, and its the first thing I started to do when I got home :D Thank you for the request--I don’t get many <3
Plus, I think everyone needs some happy fluff after the two story whammies I just delivered XD
Fanfic One-Shot Request is below the cut.
~*~Different Kinds of Gifts~*~
*Levi’s POV*
He was midway through his day, finished with his daily cleaning routine (besides his own room) and finished with helping with morning training. He was giving himself a bit of a break, and by break, he meant he was going to spend a few hours in his office doing paperwork.
When he opened the door to his office, he was met with an unexpected sight.
It wasn’t the same office that he used to have--once the two of you had solidified your relationship as a serious one and started practically living with one another, Erwin had moved the two of you into a larger space that was more like a small apartment than a simple office and bedroom. The main front room was still his office, but it doubled as a living room as well, with a couch, fireplace, bookshelves, and lounge chairs taking up a portion of the room off to the side, though Levi’s desk and workspace was still center, and a straight shot from the front door with nothing in the way. Instead of one branched off room there were three--the bedroom, of course, off to the right, as well as a washroom and a small private kitchen whose doorways were along the left wall.
Practically the lap of luxury by Scout standards.
However, right now the little sanctuary you two shared was occupied by more than just you.
Levi paused just in front of the doorway, his hand still on the doorknob and the door hovering open just a crack as he processed the sight in front of him.
You were sitting on your usual spot on the couch, somewhere he actually knew to look for you whenever he needed to find you. However, in your arms was a small, carefully wrapped bundle, tiny arms hanging free and moving involuntarily around in the air, coming to curious stops whenever they collided with your chest, neck, or chin, little fingers curling instinctively against the human being they found. A small face of soft and not-yet defined features was peeking out from the bundle, the cloth wrapped around its head like a snugly fitting cloak, and its eyes were open, staring widely at your face as you peered down at the babe with a soft smile, a mouth that could probably be covered by the pad of his finger working as if it was trying to copy the sounds you were making as you spoke softly to the little one.
For a moment, Levi was just...confused. What were you doing with a baby in his office? Where had the baby even come from? He was pretty sure that whole thing about storks coming to deliver swaddled babies to expecting parents was an out for parents who weren’t ready to have the babies talk.
He was pretty sure. The sudden appearance of a baby in your arms made him doubt for a couple of moments.
With the initial surprise passing, Levi shut the door behind him much more quietly than he initially would have, though you had already looked up by now to see him entering the room, that soft smile still on your face.
“Hey--didn’t expect to see you for a couple more hours, at least,” you said, as if it wasn’t noteworthy that you had a baby in your arms.
“Paperwork--what’s with the...”
Levi was dismissive about why /he/ was here, considering he was much more interested in why the /baby/ was here. You only chuckled at his confusion, though, one of your fingers brushing against the baby’s little cheek and making the baby try and look to see what touched them, eyes following the finger as it traced lazy circles in the air in front of the baby’s face.
“You know how my sister had her baby the other week?” you said pointedly, and the pieces clicked into his mind. Ah, /that’s/ what was going on. Babysitting.
“I thought their boy already had a reputation for his lungs,” Levi said wryly, moving over to his desk and taking off his jacket, draping it carefully over the back of the chair for the time being until he was ready to put it back on and get back to work /outside/ his office.
“Oh, believe me, he does--he came here screaming and crying and people kept checking in to see what the hell was going on,” you said with a chuckle. “But we got pretty well acquainted. He seems to like me, now. Don’t tell my sister, though--she’ll want to know what my secret is.”
“What is your secret? They were having a rough time getting him to quiet down,” Levi remarked as he took a seat, remembering the tired circles under your sisters eyes the last time he’d seen her and how she’d been running through an exhaustive list of what they’d already tried to calm their newborn son down.
You shrugged. “There is none. I guess I just have a gift for it,” you said with a twinkle in your eye, turning your attention back to the newborn as he seemed to be burying his face in your chest. “Hey, that’s not going to give you any food, I’m not your Momma! Where’s that bottle.”
“Hey, hands off, those are mine,” he grumbled at the baby as he pulled a stack of papers towards him. You shot him a look which he returned with the ghost of a smile flickering across his face, a bit of amusement in his eyes as he kept track of your movement through the office and apartment as you sought out the bottle to feed him.
Levi’s attention turned back to the paperwork he was planning on doing once his curiosity had been satiated, a relative silence falling over the room. For the most part. There was the occasional noise from the baby that got to eagerly suck on the warm milk after you’d disappeared briefly into the kitchen to heat up the milk. You walked in slow, directionless lines around the room, wandering around to keep the baby entertained and in motion while you fed him, and a few minutes afterwards when you burped him (Making sure there was no mess left behind, of course), and as you simply hummed or talked to him, finger brushing against his lips, or his ears, or his cheeks, just giving him little reassuring touches until one of his hands curled around your fingers. The smile you had when that happened was heart-melting, even if you had prompted it by letting your finger brush against the baby’s tiny hand, and it might have been a reflex more than anything else.
It wasn’t long before the baby was sleeping, but instead of laying him down on, say, the bed in the bedroom, you simply brought out a crescent moon pillow from the stash in the bedroom your sister had apparently given you while you were babysitting, and sat on the couch. There you cradled the baby closely to you, mostly laying him on the pillow so he was securely held to you and you wouldn’t have to keep a hold of him with your arms, though they rested around him along the rim of the pillow. Once he was safe and secure, you leaned your head back and closed your eyes, letting out a soft sigh and slipping off into a light sleep, something Levi could tell by the sound of your breathing.
The entire time, his attention kept getting drawn off the paperwork in front of him, watching you out of the corner of his eyes so you wouldn’t catch him, gaze following you as you paced around the room, watching how you interacted with the baby that seemed so content in your arms. Now that you were asleep, he gazed more openly, even putting the pen down for a few moments with his arms lying loosely in front of him on the table, a small smile curling across his lips as he watched you and the baby sleeping soundly, the peaceful silence in the room somehow warmer than the sun outside.
A few days later, and the sight of you with your sister’s baby still hadn’t left his mind.
Currently, the image was plaguing him as the two of you stole some time for yourselves, the door to the apartment/office locked, with you sitting properly on the couch and Levi stretched out along the couch, his head in your lap as you gently threaded your fingers through his hair in a relaxing, soothing manner, allowing him to relax and stew in his own thoughts as he gazed up at you.
He was thinking about that peaceful moment when he’d watched you after you’d fallen asleep with the baby situated securely within your arms on the pillow. He thought about that warm smile and the bright look in your eyes, how quickly the baby had taken a liking to you, how you’d said you had a gift for it. He was looking at you in the present, but his mind was projecting an image that had been slowly solidifying in his mind since that day, of what it would be like, what it would feel like.
“What if we had a baby?”
You blinked, thrown off by his sudden question as you looked down at him in your lap, your hand pausing halfway through his hair. “What?”
His cheeks colored with a light blush as he realized he’d just blurted that out loud without any context or explanation, just dropped it on you without warning. “Not right now, there’s too much risk, but...eventually. What if we had a baby? When this is over?”
Your eyes were wide with surprise, lips moving without words coming out as if you were seeking for the right thing to say. Suddenly, he got worried he’d somehow said the wrong thing, that he’d simply assumed, that he’d let his little fantasies run away with him without stopping to see what you thought about it.
“Unless...you don’t want kids,” he said, quickly trying to retreat and take back his blurted out question, already mentally kicking himself for springing this on you.
“No, I...I think I do, some day, I just...wasn’t expecting to be talking about it right now. Honestly, I thought I was going to be the one to bring it up, not you,” you said with a slight laugh, hand running much more tenderly and intentionally this time through his hair to soothe him and any worries your hesitation had caused him. “I do. I’d love to have a child with you one day, Levi,” you promised him quietly.
Levi took in a deep breath and let it out slowly, closing his eyes to conjure up that mental image of you holding a child you’d had with him, that same warm look in your eyes--no, warmer. Sparkling. Like they were right now as you promised to have a child with him.
“One day...” he agreed in a low murmur.

a simple favour - part three
fred weasley x fem!reader
summary: it was all in her best interests, fred never meant to catch feelings for her. it had started as a simple favour.
words: 3,721
warnings: swearing , tw: stalking / stalker , smut in later parts (18+)
Read Part four here
Ron and George found Fred with his head in his hands, sitting by the fire.
“What have you done?” His younger brother asked, anger already in his voice.
What had he done? He’d pushed her so far away, in fear of losing himself to her, that he never even stopped to realise what it could be doing to her. Those awkward smiles, uncomfortable glances, that she gave him wasn’t because he was being too close but because he would back off.
He hated her for making him feel bad, he wanted her gone. It would’ve been the easier option if they had never met at all. He was sabotaging himself from the start. Fred had told himself, the more distance between him and y/n the less broken he would feel.
Yet here he was, worrying for her and hoping she wasn’t still angry at him. He wanted her to be okay, and he hated the idea that she could blame him for her heartbreak. It was evident in her eyes, he could see it now, she hated that he would let go of her hands. When he too, never wanted to lose that touch.
“What is it Fred?” George asked, reminding him that they were still there awaiting an answer.
“She’s a bitch.” He spat out, too quickly to stop himself. Ron went for him, fists flying with a cry of ‘you prick!’ repeated over and over as the other twin held him back.
Fred didn’t care anymore, she was already mad at him. He wasn’t going to change that, so he’d just have to play into it even more. He hated her, he hated that he loved her, and he hated that he wanted her in his arms right this second.
-
“Hagrid… hagrid.” I whisper-shouted, knocking gently on his hut. A loud groan from inside sounded, then a few bangs, before he threw the door open.
“What the bleedin’ hell you doin’ here y/n, it’s late.”
“Can I come in?” I begged, he nodded, knowing it must be something important or else I would have waited until morning.
He made me a cup of tea, and sat down across the table, watching me sip slowly.
“I’ve seen you and Fred are a thing,” He laughed.
“It’s a bit complicated…” “Is he the one giving you grief?”
“Oh there’s more than one,” I laughed, sighing.
“I can feed all of them to buckbeak if need be?” He chuckled, throwing Fang another slab of meat to chew on. “You can stay here as long as you need darling, don’t you worry.”
“Thanks,” I smiled, going to take another sip but getting halting as I heard voices in the distance.
I recognised it as Harry and Hermione, moving to duck away from the window.
“What’s wrong?” Hagrid asked, noticing the pair walking down the path.
“I don’t want to talk with them right now, can you not tell them I’m here?”
“They’ll wanna come in, you’ll have to sneak out the back to avoid them.” I nodded and ran to the back door, covered by the kitchen’s cabinets while their urgent knocks sounded on the door. The big man answered as normal, feigning surprise at their late visit and sparking up some random conversation as to distract them slightly.
My trembling hands opened the back door slowly, all the while watching to see if they would come into view. I bumped into a body, stood at the back door. Hermione raised her eyebrows at me, amused, and crossed her arms.
“Let’s go.” She smiled and took my hand.
She didn’t make me talk to any of the others, just led me silently back to our dorm and locked the door behind us.
“What’s gone on, Ron went ballistic on Fred. Did he do something?” She was genuinely concerned, sitting me down and putting a gentle arm around my shoulder.
Hermione was the only person who held me close, and meant well while she was doing it. I broke down, bursting into a stream of tears and crumbling into a ball. She hushed me, resting a hand on my back and letting me catch my breath before making me talk.
“I’ve fucked things up with Fred,”
“What happened?”
“God, he drives me mad!”
“Y/n concentrate,” Her tone was stern, but she just wanted to understand. I nodded through the tears, moving my hair from out of my face.
“Cormac found me by the lake… and f-followed me back, asking all these h-horrible things about me and Fred,” I struggled to talk normally, sniffling between every other word.
“Oh y/n,” The girl said sympathetically, pulling me into her side even more.
“Fred saw him doing it, so he made him leave… a-and I just lost it with him. I w-went mental f-for no reason.” I cried harder. Thinking about how much he deserved it, but how none of it made me feel any better. “I feel like shit for it.. B-but I can’t apologise.”
“He doesn’t deserve an apology y/n, you needed to yell at him so you did. It’s much better than hiding things.”
“He’s such a dick,” I hiccuped against her, making her giggle. “I think I like him,”
“What?”
I think she must have been genuinely surprised, after hearing about our argument and how much he presumably hated me. Hermione assumed I would want nothing to do with the stupid redhead.
“But I thought you-” “I can’t explain it, I'm sorry!” I sobbed, “I hate him, I hate how ignorant he is. How he has no regard for my feelings, and I hate that there’s no goddam emotion inside him. But when he likes me, when people are around, it feels so real. All I can think about is whether that’s something, that there’s a small part of him that wants me too.”
Hermione just hugged me more, letting me spill out my feelings one after the other like an unrelenting storm.
“I’m sorry it’s like this.” “I hate him Hermione, I hate him so much.” I cried out.
-
On the other side of the door, Fred’s hand hovered in a fist, ready to knock. He had come to apologise, to explain why he’d been acting so off and maybe confess to her the reasons he avoided her so often. But then he heard the words come from her voice, the same words he’d been begging to hear from her.
I hate him
It was supposed to make things easier for him, he was meant to want this from her. Yet his heart ached more than ever before. If that was how she felt, he had no choice now but to go along with it. There was no changing y/n’s mind, regardless of the love he had in his heart for her.
So he turned and left, silently, taking each stone step one at a time as not to alarm the girls inside the dorm. Ron was sporting a black eye, George not having done a very good job of holding him back. He scowled at Fred, ashamed that his brother couldn’t even do the decent thing and apologise to her.
He ignored these looks and left, hearing two first years whisper about his and y/n’s argument on the way past their dorm. There weren’t any details, just that it had happened. Which meant things needed to carry on as normal.
-
All of us gathered into Harry’s dorm room the next day, Fred hunched by the door with a sour look on his face. It was like getting a moody toddler to come to a play-date he didn’t want to go on. I’d scoffed when he came in, earning a glare to remind me of how awful he could be.
“Cormac isn’t going to leave her alone any time soon, so I’m sorry you two but this is gonna carry on for a while longer.” Hermione explained, treating us like squabbling siblings. At the end of the day, we were the ones to decide whether it would go on or not. But I knew that Mclaggen would become the bigger issue if Fred wasn’t around, and he must have known it too because there were no refusals. I sighed, shrugging my shoulders and Fred just nodded in silence. His eyes were trained to the floor, not wanting to look my way.
“You don’t have to do this,” Ron whispered to me, making his brother look up.
“Yes they do,” Hermione huffed, knowing she’d make the boy fully understand.
“It isn’t fair, he’s acting like a royal cock!” He pointed to Fred, accusingly.
I couldn’t help the laugh that escaped at my friend’s words.
“You haven’t exactly been pleasant.” Fred spat back at me, finally his eyes lifting from the floor and burning into my own.
“At least I’m better than you,” I defended, scoffing at him.
Harry stopped us both, reminding everyone that this wasn’t going to work if we kept fighting. But Fred and I were too far gone.
-
The bitterness continued between us for days, any second away from people’s eyes and we were right back at each other's throats. Even Ron was getting bored of their unrelenting arguments, often being the one to intervene when we got out of hand.
I quickly found out how easy it was to wind Fred up, and in doing so I didn’t feel as bad about his rejection. Pissing him off made me forget what feelings I’d had, and seeing him annoyed was a joy to me now.
“You’re being a real bitch today,” He had whispered to me over dinner one day, when I refused to hold his hand. Some people had seen me slide mine away as he’d reached out, and he hated that. It made him look needy, and that set him off.
“I’m only copying you darling,” I smiled innocently, aware of the constant eyes on us. He took a deep breath, trying so hard not to storm off then and there.
Rumours had spread of our initial spat in the common room, many first years having heard me shout at him, and since then we’d needed to up our game in order to make people think everything was fine between us.
“Leave me alone,” I would hiss when he sat with me in the library.
“You know I can’t,” He’d huffed, sliding a book away and throwing another one my way. I just dodged it hitting my head as he didn’t bother to look while chucking them around.
“Admit it,” I smirked when he sat back down beside me, intent on ignoring my looks. “You love spending time with me.”
His face had turned, closer than I’d realised we were, and he was blank as he stared back at me. It was like he was stuck there, watching me.
“You’re freaking me out,” I laughed, backing off and leaning back in my chair with a smirk.
-
Fred faced her, too close for comfort, and mulled over what she’d said. He knew she was joking but it was a bodily reaction. He did love spending time with her, even if everytime they were alone it was full of insults and bickering, it was worth it.
It was another side of her that he’d never experienced, but when she was mad at him or revelling in teasing him, y/n became hotter than ever before. Those glaring eyes being the best thing he’d ever experienced. Now that they argued he wasn’t scared to admit that to himself.
She’d leant back, mumbling something about him being ‘freaky’ and he returned to his book, the words irrelevant as he stared at the page thoughtlessly. He still hated her, despised her even, but it was a new feeling. He wanted her more now, which was annoying, but he couldn’t resist her.
Her hair had gotten lighter now that the sun shone outside, and she was wearing it up a lot more, showing off her features like she was a statue. He would put her in an art gallery, he thought about that a lot.
Her side profile was his favourite, because she couldn’t notice him stare then, but also because it showed off everything perfectly. The angle of her nose, the way her lips protruded out when she concentrated, her eyes flickering over a page rapidly.
Yes, he hated her more than anyone else he’d ever met, except maybe Cormac, but it was only because he loved every single stupid thing about her. It was an excruciating conflict.
-
“You really think he’s cute?” I screeched at Hermione as we painted each other’s nails, my hand was in hers as she shakily held the small brush. She’d briefly mentioned how Oliver Wood had come up to talk to her after the quidditch match the other night.
“He’s okay,” She laughed, blowing the varnish dry. “I think he was flirting with me,”
“Oh my goodness Mione, he’s an older boy.” I teased her.
“Stop it, you can’t laugh at me when you go on and on about Lee Jordan.”
“I do not!”
“Oh isn’t he sweet mione, look he’s smiling!” Footsteps sounded on the stairs leading to our room, but Hermione was too busy doing her impression to hear it. Fred stood in the doorway as she carried on, frowning at her. “God! Mione, do you think Lee’s good in bed.”
She laughed even harder after seeing the boy watch her. He seemed to have caught onto what she’d been doing and rolled his eyes.
“Ron said he’s heading to do the charms essay,” He grunted, watching her gasp and jump up.
“Oh god I forgot, I’ll be back later y/n sorry.” I just smiled, watching her hurry to collect her books and run off.
Fred stayed in the doorway.
“Are you his little messenger now?” I mocked him with a baby-like voice.
“Shut the fuck up,” “Oh no of course, you’re way too dumb for a job like that.”
“Do you really think Lee would ever like you?” He tried to stab at me, crossing his arms.
“So you’ve resorted to eavesdropping now?”
“You’re not even good enough for him.” He ignored me.
“Are you getting jealous?” I laughed. “Scared of losing your boyfriend, or worse… your fake girlfriend.”
His eyes were dark and looming. But it didn’t last long as Fred got bored of the teasing and left without a single word. I felt as though I’d won, hearing his footsteps go away again as I laid back on my bed with a sigh of relief.
-
The next day, there was yet another quidditch match which Hermione begged me to go to with her. I agreed, forgetting that I would have to cheer on Fred as he flew around. I almost puked on the spot when he blew a kiss my way. Hermione laughed her head off about it, starting to find our rivalry hilarious.
It luckily didn’t last forever, Harry being the one to end it with the snitch clutched between his fingers. I thanked god, as it was freezing cold up in the stands, and headed down to the pitch with Mione to be with the other Gryffindors celebrating the win.
Lee waved at me across the crowd, coming over to tell me a message for Fred. I smiled, nodding and not listening to a single word he said, I was never going to pass it on. But I could see Fred in the distance watching the two of us talk. He was furious, fists clenched, but I just smirked over at him while Lee wasn’t watching. I shivered, having forgotten my coat.
“Oh here, have this.” The boy in front of me took off his own and wrapped it round my shoulders kindly. “I’m heading inside now anyway, just leave it with Fred.” I thanked him as he left, heading over to Fred with a very smug smile on my face.
“Proud?” he asked me, deadpan.
“Of you? Always!” I faked, giving him a hug and leaning into his ear. “Still think I’m not good enough?”
-
Fred had wanted to punch the boy on the spot, and he would have done so if there weren’t so many people around. It gave her even more confidence now, to act as though she was the one controlling things, which made him boil up by the second.
Later that night, when no one could find y/n or Lee, Fred decided to search alone for them. If he could find them together, he could finally have a good enough reason to be angry at her. But the fear of finding them with his hands all over her made the boy feel sick.
-
“Y/n?” She had hoped no one would find her here again, Harry’s invisibility cloak folded beside her in case she needed to hide from Cormac again. But it was Lee, standing at the top of the hill calling down to her. She walked up to him, confused as to why he was here.
“You okay?” He asked.
“Yeah, of course.” I grinned at him. “Thank you for lending me your coat earlier, I left it with George.”
“Oh right,” He seemed confused.
“Is something wrong?”
“I just - are things with you and Fred okay? He doesn’t mention you much, I was actually kind of surprised when you two got together.”
“Why’s that?”
“You know, he was useless with girls-” I laughed, it just slipped out before I could hold it. “Then he just ends up with you out of nowhere.”
“Uh yeah, I guess so but he just had a bit of courage.” I lied.
“I’d had my suspicions about him, I’d never thought he would ever end up asking you though. Thought he’d keep it hidden like all of his other crushes.”
Fred had a crush on me beforehand. None of it made sense, how could he be this riled up over everything I did if he used to crush on me. Before I had a chance to think over it at all, another voice sounded, coming down the track towards Lee and I.
“Y/n” Speak of the devil, Fred had venom on his tongue as he spat out my name. “Where have you been, I’ve been looking.”
“I’ve been here,” I smiled innocently, but he didn’t reciprocate, unbothered by his anger in Lee’s presence.
“Well I need to talk to you,”
“Okay I’ll come in later.” I liked seeing his face change as I pushed his buttons. Lee was growing more and more uncomfortable as Fred became more and more furious at me.
“No. Now.”
“I’m gonna go back,” The third wheel spoke quietly, excusing himself to walk quickly off.
“Now look what you’ve done,” I teased, turning and heading back down to the lake.
“Are you enjoying this?” He shouted after me.
“Very much so,” I laughed, making him grunt and follow.
“You’re a bitch, you know that?”
“And you’ve always hated me, so what difference does it make?” I whipped round, the water closer behind me now.
“I have my reasons,” He scoffed, managing the fury a little better now as I stared at him.
“Good for you.” I spun round, eyes on the moonlit water as it rippled gently.
“I don’t want Lee,” I admitted in the dark, not daring to look at him as he came to my side. “He’s too nice.”
“Of course he’s too nice for you.”
“Stop it.”
“Why, don’t you like when I tease you for once?” He huffed.
“Just shut up, I’m sick of the sound of your voice.”
“You’re sick of me?” He seemed genuinely mad at this, his breath faster as he started ranting. “I am so sick of you, it’s unbearable. I’m bored of spending every single day acting all lovey-dovey just so you don’t get harassed. I wish I didn’t have to look at you, honestly, you’re stupid fucking face.” He pushed me slightly, making me stumble back and stare at him. “Oh god everything about you is just disgustingly perfect, don’t you realise!” He shouted out, like I was deaf. “I can’t stand being around you, because all I want to do is fucking kiss you and keep you away from any guy who dares look at you. Then here you are, sneaking around with my friend. God, you get everything you want like it’s easy and I’m here doing all I can to convince myself that I actually hate you.” There was a silence as I took in what he’d said.
“You’re a slut.” He spat. I smacked him across the face, a sharp slap that echoed in the cold air. His face flew to the side, a small scratch appearing on his reddened cheek where my ring had caught him. He looked up at me, a look of horror fading as he looked down at my lips desperately. “Kiss me,”
I grabbed his face roughly, his hands grabbing me tight as if I’d try to run away. But I wouldn’t dare, not after feeling his lips. They were perfect, and intoxicating and I couldn’t get enough of them as much as he kissed me back like his life depended on it. I ran my fingers through his hair, moaning at the sounds it created from him. He spoke quickly, not wanting to pull away for a single second.
“What’s wrong with us,” He’d gasped, hands now roaming across my body. I pulled back, making him frown at me with confusion.
“I love you.” I told him, the words coming out like I was under a spell. “I’m sorry for acting like a bit-”
“Don’t you dare say it,” He grinned, grabbing my face and kissing me even harder than before. “You’re perfect, even when you hate my guts.” I chuckled, feeling vulnerable in his hold but loving it all at the same time. “I’m sorry that I hid the truth.”
“Shut up, and kiss me.”
He laughed at my urgency, picking me up and making me squeal, my lips still interlocked with his own. I moaned still, loving the feeling of having his body pressed right up against me, and I could tell that we both needed more. Fred pushed himself against me and I gasped.
“The boathouse.” I begged and he nodded.

An Unexpected Declaration
Story Introduction for an Idea I have. Note, I do not endorse teenage pregnancy, Teen Sex, etc, etc. Toga and Izuku in this are villains, meaning they are acting against the law no matter what they do and this is what I think Himiko would reasonably want/do given my understanding of her. Now, with that out of the way, let’s get to the fic.
“I want a baby.”
That was the one statement that made Izuku Midoriya choke in surprise on his milkshake mid sip. Hacking out coughs, he pounded his fist into his chest to clear his windpipe. Once clear, he looked at his surroundings. Dabi, Mustard, Spinner, and Compress were playing their game of Uno while little Kota and Eri watched, Twice was off somewhere, likely chatting with Hawks, and after a look around, he remembered that Tomura was upgrading for All for One. With his surrounding clear, he looked to his newly declared wife, formerly Toga Himiko, now Midoriya Himiko, staring at him expectantly as she sipped from her glass of blood that Izuku had painstakingly drained herself for.
It had been a few months (It was currently Early February) since the battle with the massive Meta Liberation Army where he, Mustard, and Toga almost lost their lives if Jin hadn't intervened when they did. Thankfully, their quirks awakened while they were engaging in combat, with Mustard’s Gas now inducing Fear and Horrific Hallucinations in his victims upon being inhaled, essentially crippling an enemy and allowing him to quickly put a bullet in their skull while incapaciated (fortunately, the Doctor had been able to immunize the League and its Warriors and allies to the gas, though Hawks was kept out of the immunization due to there not being enough), Toga could now copy the Quirks when disguised as someone she really loved and respected, as long as she had a decent understanding of their Quirk, and Izuku’s three Quirks, Air Arms, Regenerate, and Insight, had allowed awakened. The first formerly meant he could only grab certain things as well as launch himself in different directions and throw them, but now he could increase pressure and essentially crush someone into goop with air, the second one being him with the ability to regenerate old wounds before new wounds after thirty minutes now having him being able to heal in half that time with all wounds over his body as well as any lost limbs but with the cost of a massive amount of energy being lost, which he’d need rest to recover. Finally, Insight initially allowed him to view a Person’s Quirk and their intentions during a fight, but now it allowed him to view specific memories of someone, anyone at all, and any plans they have, regardless of being in combat or not.
And it just so happened that thanks to Insight, he knew exactly what the Heroes were planning thanks to a little birdy being his little lab rat for it.
Now, the former League of Villains stood as Seven of the Eleven Lieutenants of the newly declared Paranormal Liberation Front led by Shigaraki Tomura consisting of 116,000 warriors and the natural disaster Gigantomachia. Dabi and the Ice user from the Meta Liberation Army, Geten, commanded the Violet Regiment, specialized in Guerilla Warfare. Twice commanded the Black Regiment, specialized in Tactics, Himiko and the MLA’s Hacker Skeptic commanded the Carmine Regiment tasked with Intelligence with the traitorous Hero Slidin Go as an advisor, Spinner and Compress commanded the Brown Regiment tasked with Support, and finally Mustard was given command of the Yellow Regiment tasked with Biological and Psychological Warfare. There was also that bitch Curious who he let his hime have fun with for a time, she now served as an advisor to Himiko and was very willing to listen to what her boss had to say after what had happened between them, something Izuku likely never wanted to know. Izuku was given the greatest honor of all though.
He was given the position of overarching Second-in-Command and Master of Strategy, which meant Shigaraki trusted him with laying the groundwork for the coming war and how to deploy each regiment effectively and where they’d be best suited. Essentially, this made him enemy #1 on the Hero’s capture/kill list, likely along with Twice and Mustard, simply due to how dangerous the three were. Mustard knew this but Twice...He really did love Jin, but sometimes he was too trusting for his own good. Then there was the young seven year olds Kota and Eri, which Himiko, Mustard, and Izuku had effectively adopted as their younger siblings. Both of them were given advisory roles to Izuku, Himiko, and Mustard but it was more to allow them to learn how to lead and what to do for when they grow up more than anything else.
But on to the current moment, he looked at his wife of two weeks, completely flabbergasted at what he heard from her mouth. “W-w-what?” Maybe he heard her wrong? Maybe she said something else and he misinterpreted what she said? He hadn’t been getting much sleep since he started planning the PLF’s strategies for the upcoming war, so much so that now Himiko was complaining about in bed and their once fiery nights turned into warm, comforting snuggle sessions, which, thankfully, his blood-crazed wife didn’t mind. Mustard snickered behind him.
“You heard your wife, buddy. She wants to have your spawn.” He joked as Dabi hit him with a Plus Four. “God Damnit!” He cursed, drawing four cards, now having six instead of just two. “And I was so close too.” He pouted and Izuku gave a small smirk at how cute the former middle schooler was acting. Initially, the two of them and Himiko didn’t see eye to eye much, what with Izuku being focused on the mission, Himiko being all over the place and constantly looking for blood, and Mustard being distrusting of people and overly aggressive. However, with time and patience, the three became the closest of the League and with Eri and Kota formed the League’s Next Generation as coined by Compress, given the five of them were younger than the other five. Now, Mustard was his best friend and a good person to talk to when Izuku needed it and vice versa.
It was nice.
“Is it really that surprising, Izu-kun?” Himiko spoke up, her golden eyes staring directly into Izuku’s emerald ones. She was really beautiful in her current apparel, a fancy shirt with a fluffy skirt and her hair not in their trademark buns. Not to mention the view her skirt gave when Izuku looked down. “I mean, I’ve been your wife for what? Two months? Three?”
“It’s been two weeks, Himi-san.” He clarified. Dabi simply scoffed as it approached his turn.
“Not in my books, it hasn’t.” He began as he looked at the two, turning away from the simple card game. “With you two constantly sucking each other’s faces and being together in bed since the whole drama with the Yakuza, I’d say that’s when you two actually got hitched, even though you recently made it official or whatever.” He stated in his common, matter-of-fact tone Izuku had grown used to. “Uno.” He stated nonchalantly as he placed his second to last card down. A glance in his direction and Izuku saw it was a red five.
If you want the full story, let me know and I’ll continue to work on it. If you want to make art of it, just hit me up with a private DM and I’ll allow it and even feature your art. Hope you enjoyed my crappy writing. Have fun.

I am sure many of you have already read this one but here are some parts from Ash Alexander’s Queen journey for those who haven’t!
“...At some point in early At some point in early 1983 on a visit to Jacky at the QFC, John Deacon wondered into the office. He came into the basement office and said hello as Jacky introduced me, sat down and spent a little time reading through press clippings. He could easily have slipped away back upstairs, but the fact that he stayed was a nice touch.
Another fan club letter arrived with good news. In Another fan club letter arrived with good news. In November 1983, fan club members were invited to help in a video for the new single 'Radio Ga Ga' at Shepperton Studios. Again, my Mum stepped up and drove me down for the day. I took the day off school and had just turned 14. We arrived at the studio and were ushered into a huge hanger where we were kitted out with white body suits and then sprayed with a light grey stripe on each arm - even now I’m not sure what the spray paint was for as you can’t see it in the video. When we had all been prepared, we were taken into an adjoining hanger and were greeted by the band and an initial play through of the song. The rest of the day was spent clapping as you’ll see in the video. I wound up in the front row, opposite Brian. If you look closely and you know what you’re looking for, you can see me!
In between takes, I approached John Deacon who was surprisingly on his own. I remember trying to remain calm as I approached him. I didn’t mention our brief meeting, I asked him how to get a job in recording studios and that I was interested in pursuing a career as a sound engineer. He was really helpful and took time to explain the usual route.
On 22, March 1984 at Limehouse Studios in London’s docklands, the video for ‘I Want To Break Free’ was filmed, again with the help of fan club members. I went along with my brother Andrew. The set was a big dark staircase that we all stood on. We were given black bodysuits this time that were sprouted with hello paint on the arms. We also wore a hard hat with a head lamp attached to it. The band were set in the middle of us all. After all the filming, we returned to the main building where we said hello to Roger. He’d come out to say thanks. Later, waiting for a cab down in reception, Freddie glided down the staircase and past us with his entourage. I remember wanting to get up and say thanks, but the opportunity was missed.
...20th April 1992. My friend Chesney Hawkes was managed by Trinifold. They also managed The Who. He invited me along to the Freddie Mercury Tribute gig at Wembley. Roger Daltry was appearing and Ches had a spare ticket. He only had one backstage pass though. This was overcome by him befriending the chap on the security door. Ches came out to meet me with his pass. He returned on his own and got in. I confidently flashed my pass and entered the Hard Rock tented area. Ches beckoned me over from the other side of the room. He was signing autographs for a lady, her two children and an older lady was with them. He introduce me to them saying I was a huge Queen fan. ‘This is Freddie’s mother' he whispered to me. I remember saying to her that I wish we’d met under different circumstances and how deeply sorry I was about her loss and how incredibly proud she should be. I often wonder about her.
...In Spring 1993, I was in front office. It was well after midnight and I’d left a s session for a little break. As usual, I took a look in the studio diary to see what was coming up. I flicked through the weeks and came upon an booking entry “Studio 3 - QUEEN” for 2 weeks that was pencilled in. There was no further info than that. I put my initials next to the booking thinking there would be a rational explanation as to what the booking really was. I soon found myself on a 2 week session with Queen. My diary from 1993 is lost, so I have only a mental note as to when & what songs were touched upon at this initial stage of 'Made In Heaven'. We started taking delivery of various multitrack tapes on varied formats. These were then transferred to digital 48 track tapes for future work. Roger & John were alone on these sessions as Brian was touring in Japan. I remember Roger being rather dismissive of Brian being unavailable, much like a brother sledging his sibling would do, with a slightly jealous edge but genuine at the same time.
...Over the 2 week session, Roger would suggest we went out for dinner. We had 3 or 4 meals out at a local Italian restaurant. Even now I laugh at jumping into the back of Roger’s Merc and the four of us driving down Abbey Road to the restaurant. It was owned by an Italian lady that would force you to smell her ‘wonderful mushrooms’ from a jar, which she made Roger do. On our initial meal she told Roger he looked familiar. ‘I know you’, she said. ‘Where have I seen you before?’ ‘Well, I’m in a band and we’ve been on TV before.’ Roger replied. John seemed calm with his lack of recognition. ‘What group do you play for?’ she asked. ‘I’m the drummer in a rock n roll band called Queen’ he replied. ‘No - I don’t hear of this band’ …We finished our food and the bill was called for. It showed up. John took it and asked Roger if he should use the Queen card to pay for it or his own card.
Roger’s drum kit arriving half way through the first week of sessions was a surprise for Noel Harris (the engineer) & me. We expected the sessions to be playing back tapes and working through the various formats to find possible material to be worked on at a later date. Noel was unfamiliar with the room in studio 3 and asked my opinion where to set the kit up and what microphones I would use. Eventually he left me to it. The kit was positioned and I mic’d it up that evening. John had his red Fender bass DI’d (no amp was used) and sat with us in the control room. I doubt these recordings made it through to the final mixes, it’s nice to think that they did.
...Tuesday 5th September
During the afternoon Brian’s guitar and a Vox AC30 appeared in the studio, brought in by Pete Malandrone. We were to do guitar overdubs on ‘You Don't Fool Me’. David asked me to put two Shure 421 microphones pointing into the back of the speaker cabinet. We did have two SM57’s on the front but these weren’t used in the recording.
I had to do a recall of the mix, which meant noting all of the studio outboard settings so we could get back to the mix and finish it off.
We had a technical problem with the Sony 3348 tape machine and eventually had it swapped for a new one. Brian clearly wasn’t aware we weren’t ready for him. I was half way through telling him and Jim Beach jumped in and finished off my explanation. Brian got really cross with him and slammed an empty coffee mug down on the studio table. Later Brian was so apologetic for his outburst. He must have told Jim he was sorry 4 times. As I type this I note it was Freddie’s birthday.
Brian slipped on his guitar that was linked to his amp with one lead. No pedals. His sound was instant and we were soon ready to record. He stood in front of the console in the control facing David & me.
Brian had an idea of what he wanted to play. The guitar riff had already been recorded. The solo guitar is what was added. Brian used a scrap of paper that he drew a map of dots on. Not like musical notation but his own short hand. It reminded me of being at the 'Radio Ga Ga' video shoot 13 years earlier. I was the same distance from Brian as I was then, but the scenario was beyond my imagination.
...Friday 8th September
Day Off - I may have met Pete Malandron at the Sun Inn in Barnes this afternoon. The QIFC was based round the corner at the time & Brian had a house there too, although I'm not sure he lived there at the time. I was with a friend and Pete joined us in the pub. He sat near the window and kept looking out of it. I asked what he was looking at and he replied "I always get worried when I'm out with Brian's guitar. It's in the boot of the car you see." He stayed for one drink and decided it was time to leave.
...One of the evenings of this second week, George Michael came to visit. There was a strong possibility that he would sing on one of the songs. Roger, John, Brian, David, George & I sat chatting in the control room. One of the conversations moved onto the Beatles and their current 'best of' release. I think Brian suggested that it was a bad idea releasing all their old material and I piped up that the fans would buy it regardless, much like the scenario Queen were about to face with the imminent release of the album. There was a deathly hush as I realised what I was saying. I wasn’t being at all derogatory. I was helped out of the hole I was digging by George who agreed with me and we moved on. No one actually spoke about doing a vocal. After George left the studio that evening, Roger was clear that he wasn’t keen on the idea. After looking through the Vintage Car garage across the road from the studio one afternoon, Roger saw a black Cadillack convertible that he quite liked. The following morning he came into the studio and said ‘Don’t tell Jim, but I bought the car.’ It was £80, 000.
Brian asked me if had been involved in the Abbey Road Sessions. Perhaps he’d seen my name on the tape boxes. I said that I was. Immediately he made a phone call. I didn’t hear all that he said, but I knew it was about a special thanks on the album credits. The following morning, after the artwork had been finalised, Roger came in and said ‘morning Aardvark’. Because the special thanks were alphabetic, I was on top of the list. It wasn’t until I bought a copy of the album and saw my name on it that I finally took on board that I had actually achieved one of my dreams.”

Fashion: Prior to attending Hogwarts, Amelia used to wear smock dresses. Much like David, has a love of punk fashion when in the muggle world. Although thanks to Andre, grew an appreciation for wizarding world fashion and even Victorian fashion.
Background/History:
Pre-Hogwarts:
-Amelia had a fairly happy life, being quite well-off financially thanks to her mother’s accounting work and her father’s job as a plumber.
-Though she loved her older siblings, Alex and Sarah, the age gap of six and four years respectively meant some obvious differences in the closeness between the Booth siblings.
-Sadly, when Amelia was just five years old, she was involved in a car accident. A driver going too fast rear-ended her father’s car. While her father was killed on impact on account of not having his seatbelt on at the time, Amelia had hers on and was knocked unconscious. This event resulted in her scarring and subsequently, her ability to see Thestrals.
-The accident took a heavy toll on all of the Booths, Lyra though was determined to stay strong for her kids. Getting them involved in various activities in the hopes that it would get their confidence back, for Alex it was muay thai, for Sarah it was shooting and for Amelia, gymnastics.
-While Amelia regained some confidence in herself despite the scars, the accident caused her to develop motorphobia, she can’t stand the thought of being trapped in an automobile. However, she can still ride bicycles and broomsticks, at least then she has control over the vehicle in question.
Year 1 (1986)
-Amelia first comes to Hogwarts when the school is in the grip of the curse of the Vault of Fear.
-This also where she meets Alder Khanna, Rowan’s younger brother, who would become her best friend.
-When she first encounters a boggart, it turns into a Vauxhall Viva (the car her dad used to drive), blaring its headlights and revving its engine. Understandably, this troubles her.
-That event, combined with her insecurity over people wanting to befriend her just to get closer to David causes an argument between the two. This is where she gets closer to Rowan, who even though she’s the older sibling in her relationship, feels somewhat overshadowed by Alder.
-She reconciles with David thanks to the advice from Rowan and even an assurance by Alder he’s not her friend because she’s close to David.
Year 2 (1987)
-Open Quidditch positions are announced, for Hufflepuff’s team, it was keeper. Having expressed an interest in it, she sought out Orion.
-Orion asked her to balance on her broom, expecting her to fail a few times before she got it. However, thanks to her gymnastics training, she stood up on it first time no problem, something that visibly surprised Orion. It almost immediately made him consider her for a position on the team.
-She got the position and was noted for incorporating her gymnastics into her Quidditch manoeuvres, something that greatly helped in defending the goals from the opposing team.
-Because of this, she becomes quite popular in the school Quidditch scene.
-She comforts David when his friends Chauncy and Philip are killed by a Red Cap while under the sleepwalking curse. Hagrid introduces them both to the Thestral herd on the Creature Reserve.
-Admits to David that she doesn’t trust Rakepick.
Year 3 (1988)
-She selects COMC, Divination and Study of Ancient Runes as Electives. Though Divination isn’t what she hoped, she takes to COMC like a fish to water. While she had experience with certain creatures through her first two years on the reserve, she mentioned wanting to take COMC as soon as was feasibly possible.
-Is there to witness David emerge from the Portrait Vault, shocked to learn of Rakepick’s betrayal.
Year 4 (1989)
-Jacob comes back as the DADA teacher, Amelia confronts him about the pain he caused David last year. This culminates in an argument in which Amelia slaps him and screams, “He’s my brother, you selfish bastard!” Before she storms out the room.
-The biggest event for Amelia is when R comes after her, to truly make sure the condition that David must see a loved one die so that he may enter the Sunken Vault.
-However, Alder intercepts the attack meant for her, resulting in his death. The R assassin, Nisus Snyde leaves, believing the distraught reaction from David is enough to determine that Alder was suitable for the condition to be met.
-She’s distraught as well, blaming herself for being too weak to not help David or protect Alder, a fact that isn’t helped by Rowan also blaming her. This results in an argument between David and Rowan which climaxes with shouting “I wish I’d never met you David Willows!”. Amelia feels even worse after, believing herself to be the one who caused the argument.
-She insists on joining David for the expedition into the Sunken Vault and helps in bringing down its guardian.
-She becomes heartbroken when R murders Jacob but even more so when David leaves in the middle of the night, having snapped his wand.
-Moody tracks her down and talks to her as well as a few others, promising to bring David back and keeping them at Grimmauld Place.
-When David is brought back, it’s here that she alongside David and Rowan form the Circle of Khanna in remembrance of Alder.
Year 5 (1990)
-She assists in keeping David hidden in the Room of Requirement, knowing R is going to come after him. Using privileges she obtains as the 5th year prefect to wander the halls mostly unchallenged.
-She joins in the final battle against R, facing of against Nisus alongside Rowan. The battle ends when Valkyrie (Amelia’s hippogriff) grabs Nisus’s skull with enough force to fracture it, killing him.
-She’s able to complete her O.W.Ls and helps in winning the Quidditch cup for Hufflepuff, David appoints her captain seeing as he’ll be graduating.
Year 6 (1991)
-Takes Alchemy as an Elective.
-(Note may not actually happen but I find the thought of Amelia taking the Golden Trio under her wing to be an intriguing idea).
Year 7 (1992)
-Her status as a powerful Muggleborn makes her a prime target for the Basilisk, resulting in her petrification.
-Saved by the efforts of the Golden Trio, though forced to cram and take her N.E.W.Ts in the summer.
Post Hogwarts
-Gets in touch with a contact provided by Professor Kettleburn as a trainee magizoologist. Starting up an apothecary business on the side.
-She attends David and Merula’s wedding in 1994 as one of the bridesmaids.
-She joins the Order of the Phoenix in 1995, using her apothecary as a safe house and providing potions for the Order when they’re needed.
-In 1997, her apothecary is destroyed, luckily she’s able to escape and goes on the run from the death eaters.
-She assists in the Battle of Hogwarts in 1998, once again providing potions and healing magic to those who need it. That being said, she takes down a fair few death eaters herself.
-She continues to work as a magizoologist after the war, even managing to rebuild her apothecary.
Family:
Peter Booth (Father, deceased):
Face Claim: Ben Whishaw
A fun-loving family man, Peter worked as a plumber known for his warm attitude. He taught all of his kids how to ride a bike, one of the last things Amelia really remembers about her father.
Sadly, he was killed in a car accident when Amelia was just five years old.
Matthew Hall (step-father):
Face Claim: Ben Miller
A stern but fair CIMA-qualified accountant, Matthew first came into Amelia’s life when she was just seven. When she was eight, Matthew and Lyra officially got together, something that upset Amelia, thinking her mum was trying to replace her dad.
The two would reconcile, though it would take time with the assurance that he wasn’t there to replace Peter. It was he who recognised Amelia’s magical abilities when they manifested shortly before her eleventh birthday.
Lyra Booth (nee Robinson) (mother):
Face Claim: Ruth Wilson
Another CIMA-qualified accountant, Lyra and Amelia are very close. She was shocked when she learned her daughter had magical abilities. It was her demand to invite David over for Christmas in 1984. Something which ultimately proved comforting knowing there was someone looking out for her.
Alex Booth (brother):
Face Claim: Jody Latham
Her older brother, Alex is very much protective of his little sister. Her going off to a boarding school that was part of a world that he had no idea about was worrying. That being said, he begins to worry about her less when she and David try to explain Quidditch to him.
Sarah Booth (sister):
Face Claim: Emilia Clarke
Amelia’s sister, initially very highly strung about Amelia joining the wizarding world and being far more vocal about it than the other members of her family. Though she becomes endeared to David eventually and is even fascinated by stories told to her by Amelia about her magical creatures.
Jacob Hall (step-brother, deceased):
Face Claim: Tom Holland
Amelia was highly of suspicious of Jacob, largely for causing David pain. To the extent she slapped him when they got into an argument after Jacob said “David is my brother, so-” *SMACK* “HE’S MY BROTHER TOO, YOU SELFISH BASTARD!”
That being said, their relationship becomes more cordial over the course of the year and is one of those who mourns Jacob’s death.
David Willows (step-brother):
Face Claim: Dave Franco
Initially intimidated by her future step-brother, Amelia didn’t know what to make of him. After he gave her a demonstration of a Lumos spell, she started thinking he was cool.
Though there’s been the occasional rough patch, Amelia considers David a blood relative and would gladly protect him with her life knowing he’d do the same for her.

Favourite Professors
Professor Sprout: Her head of house and the one who suggested she become a Prefect, Sprout was there to comfort her after Alder was killed. Amelia often assists in tending to the greenhouses.
Professor Snape: Despite Snape’s dour and very much intimidating presence, Amelia found potion making a subject she often practised in her free time, using Snape’s instructions of course. Though not quite as enthusiastic about him as Penny Haywood, Amelia will admit Snape can be a good teacher.
Professor Kettleburn: Though considered nuts by most staff and students, Amelia very much respects Kettleburn for still working with creatures even they’ve maimed him so many times. She’s even talked with him about her insecurities around her scars.
Least Favourite Professors:
Professor Binns: Like many Hogwarts students, Amelia would rather sleep through Binns’ lessons than study. Even the most fascinating of magical history go in one ear and out the other when Binns is teaching her.
Best canon friends:
-Barnaby Lee
-Liz Tuttle
-Charlie Weasley
-Penny Haywood
-Orion Amari
Love Interest:
I’ve not decided on a love interest for her or even if I’ll give her one. If you’d like to suggest your MC to be her love interest, let’s chat!
Best MC friends:
David Willows: David is Amelia’s step-brother, being introduced to each other in Christmas 1984. Becoming Quidditch teammates in Amelia’s second year, David would go on to appoint Amelia captain of the Quidditch team
Judith Harris (@judediangelo75): Judith is the beater on the Hufflepuff Quidditch team. During a match, Amelia trusts Judith to keep the bludgers off her back. Judith sometimes supervises Amelia on the creature reserve and will even have races between her Swedish Short Snout and Judith's Ukrainian Ironbelly.
Lizzie Jameson (@lifeofkaze): Lizzie is one of the chasers on the Hufflepuff Quidditch team and was over the moon when Amelia joined as the keeper. Outside of Quidditch practice, Amelia sometimes spends time at the magical creatures reserve with Lizzie and Charlie.
If you’d like your MC to be friends with her, let me know!
Rivals:
During Qudditch: Andre Egwu, Erika Rath, Skye Parkin, Charlie Weasley, Oliver Wood, Cato Reese (@catohphm) and Katriona Cassiopea (@kc-needs-coffee).
Otherwise she doesn’t really have any.
Enemies:
R
Death Eaters
Magical creature poachers
Magical Abilities
Wand: Chestnut, phoenix feather core, nine and a half inches, rigid.
Chestnut wands prefer witches and wizards who are skilled tamers of magical beasts, those who possess great gifts in Herbology, and those who are natural fliers.
This is the rarest core type. Phoenix feathers are capable of the greatest range of magic, though they may take longer than either unicorn or dragon cores to reveal this. They show the most initiative, sometimes acting of their own accord, a quality that many witches and wizards dislike. Phoenix feather wands are always the pickiest when it comes to potential owners, for the creature from which they are taken is one of the most independent and detached in the world. These wands are the hardest to tame and to personalise, and their allegiance is usually hard won.
Animagus Form: N/A
Misc magical abilities:
Occlumency: David teaches her Occlumency when he can to keep her safe from certain threats, especially in relation to R and other magical effects such as the legilimency of the wampus cat.
Boggart form: Her dad’s Vauxhall Viva, blaring its headlights and revving its engine.
Riddikulus form: The car shrinks and turns into a wind-up toy playing a musical horn.
Amortentia (what do they smell like?): Damp earth and straw
Amortentia (What do they smell?): Lavender and mint.
Patronus: Abraxan.
Patronus memory: The feeling of freedom and wind in her hair as her dad let her bicycle go. She knows he would want his little princess to keep going forward.
Mirror of Erised: Her dad is back, telling her how proud he is of all of her accomplishments.
Specialised/ Favourite spells:
Bombarda (and Maxima): Taught to her by Rue, David’s mother, thanks to that teaching she’s learned to concentrate the spell so it’s much more powerful. Especially useful against creatures with magic-resistant hides such as dragons and trolls
Conjunctivitus curse: Not having the luxury of being a legilimens means Amelia has to get a bit crafty in her spellwork, especially when facing highly dangerous creatures. Blinding them is a guaranteed way to distract them.
Incendio: Useful for starting a campfire on her expeditions as a magizoologist, it helps that it can be used as an offensive spell.
Protego: Always useful when blocking projectiles and other spell attacks.
Misc Information:
She has far more creatures on the reserve than David: A niffler (Glimmer), a porlock (Macha), an Abraxan (Emerald), a fairy (Pearl), a Bowtruckle (Twiggy), a hippogriff (Valkyrie), a Thestral (Skull), a Unicorn (Bismuth), a frost salamander (Sapphire), a salamander (Ruby), a Swedish Short Snout (Torak), a fire crab (Garnet), an Imp (Clanger) and a Quintaped (Angus).

Umbrella Academy OC Masterlist
(I’ll update this with my own gifs as soon as I have the time/energy but I realized how out of date the old one was and had to fix it, as part of my bigger mission to update all of my masterlists)
Name: Aiden Hargreeves
Alias/Number: 8, The Enigma
Story: My Way Home
Face claim: Candice King
Power: Redacted
Name: Alice Hargreeves
Alias/Number: 8, The Heart
Story: Six Impossible Things
Face claim: Sophie Cookson
Power: Empathy
Summary: On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. He got seven of them.
And then, an eighth. Five years after the mysterious births, Alice’s parents died in an accident, and she was quickly taken in by the billionaire. Unfortunately, she turned out to be even more useless than Number Seven. An empath, not only were her powers useless, but they made her weak and unreliable. On the day they turned eighteen, Alice parted ways with her siblings, moving across the country to become a licensed psychologist, using the same powers that had always been mocked. She’s finally happy, when her father dies and she has to return home. But when Number Five shows up, not looking a day over thirteen, Alice has to help stop the apocalypse, and learn the truth about her own powers along the way.
Name: Andrea Hargreeves
Alias/Number: 8, The Ace
Story: Running Just As Fast As We Can
Face claim: Crystal Reed
Power: Luck
Summary: On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth, you know the drill. Despite being one of the miracle children, Andrea never felt like she was born lucky or lucky to be born. Yes, having the power of good luck came in handy, but it also came with endless scorn from her siblings, and even from her father. It meant never knowing if she deserved something or if she only got it because of her powers. It meant being put through worse and worse torture every day of her life as Sir Reginald Hargreeves tested the limits of her powers. It meant being lucky — unlucky, if you asked her — to survive the same mission that had taken Ben from her. She was the one who should have died, but as luck would have it, the universe took Ben instead.
That was the final straw for Andrea, who left the Academy within the week. She built herself a new life. A successful life. A life where she would never know if she had actually worked for, had actually earned, anything that she had. She lost contact with her siblings. She lost her family. She lost herself. And then her luck finally worked out well: Reginald Hargreeves was dead, and her long lost brother was finally home.
And the apocalypse was only days away. Go figure.
Name: Andromeda Hargreeves
Alias/Number: Number 6: The Echo
Story: Ghosts Of The Past
Face claim: Nina Dobrev
Power: Power mimicry
Summary: On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. He got eight of them. Originally number Seven, Andromeda’s ability to copy anyone else’s powers should have made her number one, but she struggled to control it. While theoretically she should have been able to mimic any power so long as she’d seen it used before, and to use multiple powers at once, Andromeda struggled to copy anything unless she could see the person whose power it was, and could barely handle one let alone multiple.
She’d long since stopped hoping to improve her rank when suddenly Ben dies, and Andromeda finds herself reappointed as Number Six, and the only power she doesn’t seem to struggle to use? Klaus’ ability to see their dead brother. Unable to cope with it, Andromeda travels halfway across the world, and the further she gets from Klaus, the weaker her mimic gets. Finally separated from her family, and the ghosts of her past, Andromeda is ready for her fresh start. For over a decade she lives like she’s normal; no superheroes, no mimics, and no ghosts, but her father’s funeral forces her to return to all three - and now with the added bonus of the apocalypse.
Name: April King
Alias: The Siren
Story: Siren Song
Face Claim: Cara Delevigne
Love interest: Diego Hargreeves
Power: Persuasion/Hypnotic Speech
Summary: In 1989, forty-three women simultaneously give birth, despite showing no signs of pregnancy prior to each birth. Seven are found and adopted by eccentric billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves, who raises them as a superhero team. April King is not one of those seven, but she grew up only two blocks away from them. She befriended Diego at a fairly young age, and by the time the siblings drift apart, the Kraken and the Siren are an unstoppable team. But when April accompanies Diego to Reginald Hargreeves’ funeral, she finds herself caught up in the Apocalypse and, even worse, family drama.
Name: Arya Bassi
Story: Ut Malum Pluvia
Faceclaim: Summer Bishil
Love Interest: Diego Hargreeves
Power: Redacted
Summary: When a twenty-four year old Arya Bassi first met Diego Hargreeves, she didn’t think anything of it. He was just another bodyguard that her overly paranoid father had hired to protect his little miracle. He would be replaced by the next event, and it wasn’t worth getting attached. Only, the next event rolled around and Diego was back. And then again, and again, and again. For five years, Diego served as Arya’s bodyguard, best friend, part-time roommate, and occasional fake boyfriend. The two went everywhere together, told each other things they’d never told anyone else, became two halves of a whole. And then Reginald Hargreeves died, and Diego asked Arya to be his date to the funeral.
Going to unpleasant events as Diego’s date was hardly new to her, and saying no would never have crossed her mind, but usually he was the one responsible for protecting her, not the other way around. Still, even if he hadn’t wanted her support, Arya would die before she would let her best friend face that particular nightmare alone.
She used to roll her eyes when her father told her that she shouldn’t — couldn’t — trust anyone but her newest bodyguard turned other half, but as the apocalypse nears and some woman who calls herself The Handler takes a terrifying interest in Arya, she starts to think that maybe he had been onto something all along.
Name: Athena Patch
Alias: AP, The Myth
Story: Patchwork Family
Faceclaim: Tessa Thompson
Power: Technopath
Summary: On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. He got seven, and Athena Patch wasn’t one of them. Born barely two months after her half sister Eudora, Athena had always known that she was different but, no matter how much money he offered, her parents refused to give her to Reginald, and Athena never met the Umbrella Academy.
Until she was 21, a skilled technopath and recent orphan, in the same Police Academy class as her sister and a boy who could have been her brother, and Athena found herself a new family with the two of them.
And then Diego dropped out and became a vigilante, Athena dropped out to become a hacker, and Eudora actually followed through and became a cop, but the three remained their own little family. And then Reginald Hargreeves dies, and Athena accompanies Diego to the funeral for the man who could have been her father, meets more people who could have been her siblings, and gets roped into stopping the apocalypse.
Name: Audrey Hargreeves
Alias/Number: Number 8, The Charmer
Story: Mesmerizing
Faceclaim: Emeraude Toubia
Power: Hypnosis
Summary: On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. He got eight of them.
Audrey Hargreeves, The Charmer, was gifted with the power of hypnosis. So long as she focused, Audrey would use words or movement to put anyone under her spell. So, as an extra piece of her training, Reginald had her trained in several forms of dance, and Audrey fell in love. After years of abuse, she was unsurprised to find that her family was falling apart, and was one of the first to call it quits. Instead of staying in their personal hell-mansion, Audrey chose to pursue ballet and avoid using her powers as much as possible, and to never, ever look back. But then Reginald died, the surviving siblings reunited, Five showed up to warn them about the apocalypse, and Audrey realizes that the past can never stay in the past.
Name: Autumn Hargreeves
Alias/Number: A
Story: Unlucky
Face claim: Danielle Rose Russell
Power: Redacted
Summary: On the 12th hour of the first day of October 2000, 13 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. He got twelve
.Labelled A through a L, the Initials spent their early years training, mentored by their older siblings. And by the time the original Umbrella Academy dissolved, the new one was ready to take their place. For years, the new Academy thrived, until they too fell apart.
And then Reginald died, and the seventeen siblings reunited for the funeral. A lifetime of resentment, rivalries, and abandonment issues would be a lot for any family, let alone a family of superheroes whose long lost brother has just appeared for the first time in sixteen years. And that’s when Macey Arden, the thirteenth miracle, shows up.
Name: Bailey Hargreeves
Alias/Number: 8, The Angel
Story: Here’s To Never Growing Up
Face claim: Ginny Gardner
Power: Cellular Regeneration
Summary: On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. He got eight. But it soon becomes clear that Bailey Hargreeves is different from the rest of her siblings, that she ages at a fraction of the speed that they do.
When her siblings are thirteen, she is six; when they are eighteen, she is ten; when they are twenty nine, at the dawn of the apocalypse, she is fifteen. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the speed at which she ages, no consistency with which to plan. And Bailey, ever the youngest, can’t leave the mansion with her siblings. At least, not until Klaus, through means that she never wants to know, gets her registered as his own. And for twelve years, their system works. As far as anyone knows, Bailey is his daughter, dumped on his doorstep by a one night stand. It works; they’re as thick as thieves despite Bailey’s age and Klaus’ addiction, and everything is good. Until Reginald dies. Bailey was prepared for the fighting, she had accepted the bad blood, she was unfazed by the news of the apocalypse, but she never expected to no longer be the youngest of the Hargreeves siblings.
Name: Beatrice Lovecraft-Hargreeves
Alias/Number: 6.5, The Abomination
Story: The Monster In Me
Face claim: Kaya Scodelario
Love Interest: Ben Hargreeves
Power: Eldritch Physiology (summons tentacles from her hands)
Summary: On October 1st, 1989, Beatrice Lovecraft-Hargreeves is one of 43 miracle children, born to women who had not been pregnant when the day began. On October 31st, 1989, Shailene and Rupert Lovecraft refused to give their daughter to billionaire Reginald Hargreeves.
But growing up just down the street from the Academy, Reginald never took his sight off of her, waiting for the opportune moment to add her to his collection. That moment comes on December 31st, 1999, when tentacles emerge from Beatrice’s hands and slaughter her parents. The billionaire is quick to step in and claim the girl, stealing her out from CPS and naming her 6.5, The Abomination, The Horror’s other half. Only, he didn’t anticipate just how close the two would become; didn’t anticipate that the two so called monsters would fall in love. Didn’t anticipate Beatrice dying when she was fourteen.
And then, three years later, Ben dies. Klaus attempts to bring his brother, his best friend, back, but instead he brings back Beatrice. And aside from now being a few years younger than the other Hargreeves’, she seems unchanged. Except that now she and Klaus are bonded, now someone else can see his ghosts. And just as they start to get used to it, Reginald Hargreeves dies and they have to return for the funeral. They have to face the rest of the academy, who still think Beatrice is dead; who still don’t believe that Klaus can talk to Ben; who still all blame themselves — and each other — for the two tragedies. And if that weren’t complicated enough, another presumed dead Hargreeves shows up with warnings of an impending apocalypse.
Name: Braeden Hargreeves
Alias/Number: The Brain, Number 8
Story: Knowledge Is Power
Face claim: Blake Lively
Power: Knowledge
Summary: On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. Yes, we know that. Braeden Hargreeves, The Brain, was one of them. Gifted with super intelligence, with the ability to know all of the information of any book or person that she touched, Reginald made it very clear that Braeden was not allowed to touch anyone at the Academy, ever. Isolated and touch starved, Braeden found a coping mechanism in playing other people, which soon grew into a passion for acting.
At the age of eighteen, both she and her rival - sorry, sister - left home with the intention of pursuing theatre. While Allison went straight to Hollywood, using her powers to advance her career, Braeden went to Broadway and slowly but surely worked her way up until she was asked to play one of the two leads in a new TV show, a role which brought her face to face with her estranged sister.
As is often the case with siblings, their reunion brings back eighteen years of resentment and rivalries, and just as soon as they start to put the past behind them, their third sister publishes a tell all novel about their lives and everything falls apart again.
Name: Briana Hargreeves
Alias/Number: B
Story: Unlucky

Name: Cam Hargreeves
Alias/Number: 7
Story: Someone Will Bleed
Face claim: Lana Condor
Power: Enhanced Fighting
Summary: On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. He got eight. And then there were seven. After a mission gone south, nine year old Cam Hargreeves was left for dead.
While Cam moved on, learning to survive on her own while watching her siblings on the news, the remaining seven Hargreeves never could. Diego and Luther, blaming each other for the loss of their third musketeer, went from the best of friends to bitter rivals. Reeling from the loss of their sister, Allison and Vanya shut everyone out — save for Luther and Five respectively. Ben grew quieter and Five grew more restless and Klaus turned to drugs in the hopes of never having to see his sister’s ghost.
But there was no ghost for him to see, because Cam wasn’t dead. For six years, Cam struggled, but survived. She watched on the news when Five suddenly stopped showing up; trying to find him by herself, but to no avail. Until one day, shortly after her fifteenth birthday, a woman approached her. She called herself the Commissioner, and invited Cam to join the Temps Commission and help save the world. And, with nothing else going for her, Cam said yes, and was introduced to her partner; and old man who’d survived the apocalypse alone, who also happened to be her long lost brother.
And then Cam learned the truth. The Commission’s goal was to make sure that the apocalypse happened. And Five’s goal was to stop the apocalypse and save their family. Well, at least Cam had no doubt about which side she was on.
Name: Cassie Hargreeves
Story: Dead Girl Walking
Face claim: Claire Holt
Power: Prophecy
Summary: On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. He got eight. And then there were seven.
Cassandra Hargreeves had been bought alongside her brother, Luther, but Cassie was a seer. A seer who regularly advised that her siblings disobey Reginald, and her siblings always trusted her. And when they were seven, Luther disobeyed Reginald for the first time, because Cassie told him to. And Reginald decided that enough was enough. He told her siblings that she had died, selling her to a “boarding school” in England, owned by an acquaintance of his. Almost twenty three years later, Reginald Hargreeves died, as Cassie knew he would. The surviving five Hargreeves children gather for the funeral and find themselves face to face with not one but two of their supposedly dead siblings, both of whom bring warnings of the impending apocalypse.
Name: Catarina Moreno-Hargreeves
Alias/Number: The Witch
Title: Promise Of Fidelity
Face claim: Eiza Gonzalez
Love Interest: Diego Hargreeves
Power: Witchcraft
Summary: Entreat me not to leave thee, and to return from following after thee, for whither thou goest, I will go. When Catarina Moreno first spoke those words, the day she married Diego Hargreeves, she meant them. Two miracle babies, The Kraken and The Witch, and the tumultuous road that had brought them together, and neither could imagine being apart ever again. And years later, she still meant them. Funerals, family reunions, and apocalypses would never be enough to take her from her husband’s side - even learning about his deceased father’s obsession with her couldn’t do that.
Reginald Hargreeves had sought Catarina Moreno for years, offering everything he could to her parents in exchange for their little miracle, but they refused. All the way to the day he died, he always swore that she was they key to stopping the apocalypse, always knew that he needed to bring her together with the Academy, but he never expected that to be as Diego’s wife.
But still, like clockwork, the apocalypse comes, and Catarina is right there by her husband’s side, ready to face whatever comes their way. Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.

Name: Cleo Sullivan
Story: Ricochet
Faceclaim: Tessa Thompson
Love Interest: Luther Hargreeves
Power: Sonic Scream
Summary: Cleo Sullivan knew a lot of things. She knew that she was born on October 1st, 1989; she knew that her mother called her her “little miracle”; she knew that law school was supposed to be the hardest part of her life. She knew that when people said she had a “killer voice”, they meant it literally; she knew that running around in black leather, punishing abusers who’d gotten away was a bad idea; she knew that she needed to keep her powers a secret. She knew that Luther Hargreeves, of the Umbrella Academy Hargreeves, had died to save her. But then her best friend Eudora’s ex, and her own part time vigilante parter Diego — one of the only people who knew the truth about her birth — came around asking for her help to save the world, and Cleo Sullivan meets a man with a familiar face and an unfamiliar body. And Cleo Sullivan learns that she was wrong, on at least one of those counts.
Name: Dahlia Mort
Story: Ultraviolence

In fact, within hours of her birth, she wasn’t even in 1989 anymore. Her mother opened a briefcase and, in a flash, she was at the Commission.
So Dahlia grew up, trained, learned to walk and talk, trained, got a sister, trained. Desperate to prove herself, Dahlia threw herself into her work, at the expense of having an actual life. She proved herself to be the best of the best. Proved herself worthy of being trained by the best agent in commission history. Proved herself worthy of her family, her job, and even her birth. But by 25, she had learned that nothing she did would be good enough for The Handler. For her mother. So, she stole a briefcase and ran away.
Que sera, sera; but life always has a way of going to shit.

Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. He got twelve.
Labelled A through a L, the Initials spent their early years training, mentored by their older siblings. And by the time the original Umbrella Academy dissolved, the new one was ready to take their place. For years, the new Academy thrived, until they too fell apart.
And then Reginald died, and the seventeen siblings reunited for the funeral. Summary: On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Grace Hargreeves had been pregnant when the day began, and Kamaria’s birth had been pregnant. Her birth was expected. What wasn’t expected was that for some reason — her alien biology, Reginald’s experiments, or maybe just fate — her birth would trigger the birth of 43 miracle children. Instead of getting one child that day, Reginald Hargreeves got eight.
Being number Zero was supposed to be an honour. She was supposed to be the best of the best, but Kamaria knew better — Reginald didn’t see her as a person. And if she’d ever doubted it, he would have confirmed it when he faked her death and locked her away in a separate wing of the mansion, keeping her isolated from everyone but he and Pogo. For years, Kamaria trained in isolation, mastering her powers and growing in resentment, until finally she managed to break out of the mansion. She started a new life as a professional dancer, and left the past in the past. And then Luther showed up at one of her performances with no recollection of her existence. And then Luther went to the moon the next morning. And then Reginald Hargreeves died.
And, eleven years after finally escaping, Kamaria Hargreeves went home, only to find out that her former classmates — siblings? — and even her own mother didn’t remember that she’d ever existed.

They didn’t find doctors, but Kiera found something better.

Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. Kylie Hargreeves was one of them.
Gifted with the ability to manipulate energy, Ky was given the highest honour; number Zero, the Bomb. While she was treated better than her siblings, she saw the suffering they endured, and did her best to defend them, but after Number Five disappeared, nothing was the same.
She tried to hold her family together, but in the end they still fell apart, and she never thought that she would see them again. But then their father dies, and the siblings are forced to reunite. But they aren’t the same as Ky remembers them, and frankly, neither is she. She can handle temperamental siblings and a lifetime of resentments, but can she get them to cooperate long enough to stop the apocalypse?
Name: Larissa Hargreeves
Alias: Number 8
Story: Say It Ain’t So
Faceclaim: Troian Bellisario
Power: Precognitive Vocifery
Summary: Larissa Hargreeves had been the golden girl, once. The perfect daughter who could speak anything into reality as long as she believed enough. She had been the original Number One, until her fall from grace. The first time she ever failed to speak something into existence, the first time she hadn’t been able to believe hard enough, she was unceremoniously demoted to Number Eight, where she spent the rest of her miserable years at the Hargreeves Mansion before finally breaking out.
That was supposed to be the end of it; she was never supposed to have to go back to the source of her trauma. But apparently she hadn’t believed that enough either, because a few months before her thirtieth birthday, Reginald Hargreeves dies and Larissa has to go back home for the funeral turned family reunion. She was supposed to go to appease Pogo and then leave again, and this time she would be free from the house of horrors for the rest of her life.
But even Larissa couldn’t just speak the apocalypse out of existence; that would be almost as impossible as speaking her siblings into cooperating.
Name: Leah Hargreeves

Summary: On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. He got eight.
Leah Hargreeves was able to tolerate a lot of shit. She could handle the missions; she could handle the ‘lessons’; she could handle being forced to burn herself time and time again; she could even handle just about anything the universe threw at her. And then Ben died, and Leah found her limit. She could tolerate just about anything, but she couldn’t — wouldn’t — handle Reginald blaming she and her siblings for her twin’s death. And so the Hargreeves lost a second sibling that day.
Leah left the mansion as soon as the funeral was over. Yes, it broke her heart to lose the rest of her siblings, but she thought it would hurt less to lose them while they were alive than it would to lose a third – or fourth or fifth or sixth or seventh – sibling for good. She knew that she might never see them again, but she could at least cling to the hope that they were still alive. So she forced herself to move on, to never look back.
But when she sees Reginald’s death announced on the TV, Leah knows that she has to go back; that she has to at least try to reconnect with her remaining siblings. And given the choice between stopping the apocalypse or losing the rest of her family, well, there’s no choice at all.

Once upon a time, forty-three not-pregnant women all gave birth at the exact same time. Everyone knows what happened next; Reginald Hargreeves bought eight. Unable to cope with the trauma of their powers, the twins turned to hard drugs and partying. And then their favourite brother died, and that was the end. Name: Max Carmichael
Story: Supercut
Face claim: Willa Holland
Power: Invisibility
Love Interest: Diego Hargreeves
Summary: The first time that one of Diego’s knives went missing he was eight and had figured that Klaus had gotten bored and stolen it. Until he found a yellow sticky note with a red cat face drawn on, stuck to his knife holster. Then a week later, Reginald came down to breakfast demanding to know who’d been in his office, waving an identical yellow sticky note in his hand. This went on for the next ten years, and not a single person in the mansion was left out. He had always figured that it was one of his siblings; after all, there was no way anyone could be getting in and out of the house unnoticed to pull it off. But then he moves out and starts at the police academy, and within a day his handbook was gone and replaced with yet another sticky note.
Max Carmichael would say that she didn’t know why she had started targeting the Umbrella Academy mansion in the first place, but that would be a lie. It was for the same reason that she’d started stealing at all; for attention, for recognition. And, admittedly, to see how well her own superhuman powers held up against a team of real life superheroes. The answer was too well, truth be told. None of them didn’t even notice their stuff was missing in the first place — none except Diego Hargreeves. Over the years, Max found herself more and more attached to the knife wielder, luring him into a game of cat-and-mouse that lasted for more than two decades. She branched out eventually, museum heists and bank robberies keeping her plenty busy, but she always went back to Diego eventually.
But when Reginald Hargreeves dies, Max finds herself looking through all of the items she’d accumulated from the mansion over the years to see if there was anything that she could profit off of. There were lots of knickknacks that would serve her well, but one particular find turns her path away from her favourite consignment shop and instead brings her face to face with Diego Hargreeves for the first time in their long, long chase.

Summary: They say that seeing is believing, but Maya Hargreeves begs to differ. After all, she could make people see anything she wanted. It was both her gift and her curse, and the reason that she had been bought by Reginald Hargreeves. For several years he used her powers for his own purposes, making her force people to see their worst nightmares; horrors that only they — and she — could see. Until one day, Maya said no more. She packed her bag and climbed out of her window, starting a new life and never looking back.
But ten years later, Reginald Hargreeves dies. And despite knowing that appearances can be deceiving, Maya Hargreeves still can’t ignore the need to see it with her own eyes.

Years later, the father-daughter duo are on a mission when Five finally finds a way to return to his proper timeline, and Mira quickly joins him through the portal. But they survived once, and unexpected physical changes won’t keep them from surviving again.
Name: Mireille Labonair
Story: Come What May
Face claim: Elizabeth Henstridge
Power: Artistic Creation
Love Interest: Luther Hargreeves
Summary: Mireille Labonair was a genius, plain and simple. She graduated high school at fifteen, university by eighteen, and had her doctorate by twenty-two — and no, none of it was due to her miraculous and unexpected birth on October 1st, 1989, thank you for asking. Soon the young genius was approached by a certain Sir Reginald Hargreeves, who was fascinated by her prodigal advances in bio-chemistry. He offered her a job, and by 23, Mirelle was working for the most infamous billionaire in the world. Her job had its highs and lows, like any other job.
Befriending Luther Hargreeves was an absolute high; but his near death and Reginald’s unethical experiment were resounding lows. Luther’s trip to the moon was a low, but access to equipment she had only ever dreamt of was a high. Sir Reginald’s death was a bit of both, to be honest, but Luther’s return was a definite high. But Luther’s long-lost brother showing up with warnings of an impending apocalypse? That was definitely the biggest low in her career.

This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. He got eight. The twins, Vanya and Odessa, were the first two he obtained.
But despite sharing blood, the twins had nothing else in common. Where Vanya was ordinary, Number Seven, Odessa was Number Zero, too powerful for her own good. Resentment grew quickly, and Odessa was the first Hargreeves to move out, and the only Hargreeves not to go to Reginald’s funeral.
Odessa Hargreeves doesn’t remember the end of the world, exactly. She remembers a flash of white as she collapsed, halfway across the world from her father’s funeral; she remembers waking up in a burning world, face to face with her long lost brother; but she doesn’t remember the world ending.
But after forty four years, after a lifetime of working alongside her now younger brother, Odessa finds herself returning to 2019 to attend the funeral at the mansion she swore she would never return to.

Not only was Poppy not one of the seven, she wasn’t one of the forty-three either. In fact, Poppy wasn’t build until the Hargreeves children were ten and Reginald decided that Grace was no longer enough to keep them in line. No, they needed a sister; someone to keep them in line, someone who they would be attached to, someone disposable enough that he could threaten to deactivate her if they stepped out of line. And so, Poppy was built, designed to age with the children so that they would truly see her as their sister.
But over the years, the Hargreeves left, and Reginald let Poppy’s maintenance fall by the wayside. He never noticed that as she grew to match her ‘siblings’, she was also growing into herself, developing free will and opinions of her own. And then he died, and for the first time in years, the Hargreeves family is united again to stop the apocalypse. But Poppy knows more than she is supposed to, and she no longer intends to play by Reginald’s rules.
Name: Quinn Hargreeves
Alias/Number: Number 5.5: The Girl
Story: Hear No Evil
AO3 | FFNet | Wattpad
Face claim: Malina Weissman
Power: Telepathy
Summary: On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. He got seven. And a half.
Number 5.5, The Girl was The Boy’s twin. They were, for all intents and purposes, one person. Known by her brother as Quinn, Number 5.5 was the team’s psychic, able to read the minds of anyone that she could see, or anyone that Number 5 could see. But when Number 5 disappears, The Girl freezes. Her body shows no signs of ageing or decaying, as if she has simply stopped. But when her brother returns from the future with warnings of an impending apocalypse, Quinn wakes up. And she remembers everything.
Name: Rebekah Hargreeves
Alias/Number: N/A
Story: We’ll Carry On
Face claim: Meg Donnelly
Power: Redacted
Summary: When the Hargreeves were fifteen, they snuck out to their first ever party — not that any of them remember it. But nine months later, when a girl Luther almost recognizes shows up at the Academy with a baby she claims is his, Luther has no doubt that it’s true, and immediately agrees to take custody. And so, Rebekah Hargreeves is the first child to grow up in the Academy knowing that she’s loved.
For fourteen years, her life was pretty good. Sure, her aunts and uncles had all left before her fifth birthday, and yes, her grandfather was a nightmare when it came to training her materialization abilities, and, okay, she’d spent the past four years desperately missing her dad, but it could have been worse. And then her grandfather is found dead in his office, and Bekah knows that she’s about to find out how much worse it can get.
Name: Sierra Nearing
Story: Once Upon A Dream
Face claim: Kennedy McMann
Power: Redacted
Summary: Sierra Nearing hadn’t planned on spending her life working at Griddy’s, but life didn’t care much for her plans. She had moved in with Aunt Agnes when she was 11, after her mom passed away, and by 13 she had started helping out in the diner. Thousands of faces had come and gone, but very few were as memorable as the Hargreeves.
There were seven of them when they first started coming, then six, then five, and Sierra watched as they all changed with each loss. She watched how they went from giggling together in their favourite booth, eating donuts so fast that she worried they might make themselves sick, to barely picking at their donuts and trying not to meet each other’s eyes. And then they stopped coming together at all.
They still visited, but separately, and Sierra would never pretend that she knew exactly what had happened, but she pieced it together over the years. Allison left the city, the others left the mansion, Luther got left behind. They all wanted to leave their pasts behind them, but none of them could let go of Griddy’s. So they didn’t. Once a week every week, each of them on a different day, they’d show up. Looking for a warm drink and a bite to eat; looking for an escape from the rest of the world; looking for an open ear known as Sierra. And so, Sierra listened.
Over the years she grew closer to the long-estranged Hargreeves siblings. She stopped seeing them as customers and started seeing them as friends. She did what she could to look out for them, to support them, to stand in for the siblings they’d lost over time. But she never told any of them about their other siblings’ visits. She wanted them to feel safe in the diner, like they had at least one place where they could let down their guards.
They were never supposed to know that they all still shared a connection to Griddy’s, to Sierra. Not until they were ready to face each other, to face their past. But then Reginald Hargreeves dies, and Sierra receives not one but four invitations to the funeral.
Name: Sofia Martinez
Story: Stop The World
Face claim: Lindsey Morgan
Power: Persuasive Speech
Love Interest: Diego Hargreeves
Summary: Despite Diego’s opinion, Sofia Martinez never stole anything. She just… asked nicely. She asked nicely for the Ferrari she’d left the dealership with on her sixteenth birthday; she asked nicely for the original Renoir panting that she’d obtained; she even asked nicely for permission to use the apartment that she and Diego shared in Al’s gym. She’d never asked Diego to be her friend, or her roommate, she was very careful to not convince him to do anything. She didn’t usually care who she used her gift on, but she never wanted to take away Diego’s free will.
But when Reginald Hargreeves dies under mysterious circumstances, Diego is the one doing the asking, and Sofia is as unable to say no to him as anyone else is to her. And despite the family drama, mild torture, and the literal apocalypse, she can’t bring herself to regret saying yes.
Name: Sunny Tolbert
Story: Sunbeam
Face claim: Lily Collins
Power: Sunlight Manipulation
Summary: On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. He didn’t get Sunny.
Despite knowing that she was one of the forty-three miracle babies, Sunny Tolbert knew that she was nothing special. Unlike the Umbrella Academy kids that she saw on the news, she had no powers, no gifts, nothing but a love of exploring old cemeteries; a love that brought her face to face with the Séance himself. When she finds the boy, barely seventeen, sobbing in a graveyard, Sunny is desperate to protect him from the horrors that only he can see, and suddenly, something changes. The cemetery is glowing; no, Sunny herself is glowing. And maybe, just maybe, a boy who can talk to ghosts meeting a girl who can create light is exactly what it’ll take to save the world.
Name: Taylor Bell
Alias/Number: Number 5: The Replacement
Story: The Spare
Face claim: Elizabeth Olsen
Power: Telekinesis
Summary: On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. He got seven. Taylor Bell was not one of them. But after her parents’ mysterious deaths, only days after Number Five disappeared, Reginald Hargreeves finally adopted the telekinetic teenager. Known as Number Five, The Replacement, Taylor has never had any doubt as to where she stands in this family. She’s all too happy to turn her back on it all and leave as soon as she can, but then her father dies, she returns home, and the boy she was brought in to replace turns up, warning them about the apocalypse.
Name: Teresa Hargreeves
Alias: The Trial
Story: Legacy
Faceclaim: Kiernan Shipka
Power: Reverse Divination
Summary: Klaus Hargreeves would be the first to admit that he doesn’t remember most of his teenage years. He certainly doesn’t remember Tracy James, one of his many one night stands, but Tracy remembers him. And, nine months after they first met, she shows up on the doorstep of the Academy, newborn baby in tow. But before Tracy can find Klaus, she’s intercepted by Reginald Hargreeves himself, who convinces her to leave the child with her “loving” grandfather. But Reginald never wanted a granddaughter, he wanted an experiment. Teresa Hargreeves is raised in complete isolation in the east wing of the mansion, never once hearing about the Umbrella Academy. Her life is restricted to Reginald’s trials and training sessions, nothing more. Until Reginald dies, and Teresa shows up at the funeral, expecting it to only be herself, Grace, and Pogo. But much to her surprise, six others show up, adults who claim to have grown up in the mansion. Some teenage boy showing up with warnings about an impending apocalypse is nothing to Teresa, not when a simple handshake shows that she’s standing in front of her father for the first time in her life.
Name: Tiffany Katz
Story: Last Night Of The World
Faceclaim: Lily James
Love Interest: Diego Hargreeves
Summary: On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth; Tiffany Katz was not one of those babies. In fact, not only was Tiffany Katz not born on October 1st, Tiffany Katz wasn’t even born in 1989.
Born in 1940, alongside her twin brother Dave, Tiffany Katz was as ordinary as they came. Her life was never supposed to be extraordinary, but when Klaus Hargreeves found himself in the Vietnam War, he met a soldier and a nurse and he fell in love, and that changed everything. Tiffany watched as her brother fell in love with a strange man, tried to save him as he bled out in that man’s arms, and accidentally followed that strange man into the future. She didn’t know much about Klaus Hargreeves, but when she finds herself in an unfamiliar city, around unfamiliar people, she turns to him for guidance. When he tells her that she’s in the future with less than a week until the apocalypse? For some reason, she can’t help but believe him. And well, what else could she do but try to help the mysterious and super-powered Hargreeves siblings save the world?
And if saving the world brings her closer to Klaus’ incredibly cute brother with a thing for knives and leather, well, apparently the Katz siblings were just destined to fall for Hargreeves boys.
Name: Tori Hargreeves
Alias/Number: Number 8
Story: When It Rains
Face claim: Margot Robbie
Power: Redacted
Summary: No, Tori Hargreeves didn’t want to talk about her life in the Umbrella Academy. Just because Vanya had thought that it was somehow acceptable to publish her bullshit book didn’t mean that she was right, and it definitely didn’t mean that Tori was going to start answering questions about her childhood. When she left the mansion with Diego and Klaus she promised herself to leave the past in the past, and goddammit she would keep that promise.
She wasn’t too proud of her first few years of freedom: the endless drinking and drugs with Klaus, the vigilantism with Diego, the admittedly tragic makeover she’d given herself… but she had turned her life around. She had gotten a GED, graduated university, gone to law school. She had passed the bar and started working in family law, determined to protect children from abusers in the same way she wished someone had done for her. She had built herself a new life, one where she didn’t have to think about Reginald Hargreeves or his abuse. One where she could be herself; where she could be happy. But when it rains, it pours, and a storm of apocalyptic proportions is looming on Tori’s horizon.
She left the mansion with a promise to leave the past in the past but between Reginald’s death, Five’s dramatic return, and the upcoming apocalypse, Tori Hargreeves might have no choice but to break that promise.
Name: Vienna Montgomery
Story: The World Turned Upside Down
Face claim: Amanda Seyfried
Power: Lie Detection
Love Interest: Diego or Luther (tbd)
Summary: Vienna Montgomery knew that most private investigators didn’t find success quite as easily as she did, and she knew that it was because most private investigators didn’t have an uncanny ability to know when they were being lied to. Maybe it was an unfair advantage, but she could live with that as long as she was helping people. All she had ever wanted to do was help people, which is why her patch had started her off at the police academy. She had loved training with Diego and Eudora, becoming the three musketeers of their their class, but she had quickly realized that being a police officer wasn’t what she wanted. So, a week after Diego got kicked out, she quit and started PI training instead.
For almost ten years she had successfully run her own business, having dinner with Diego and Eudora at least once a week, never leaving a case unsolved, and gaining a reputation as the best PI in the city. But her career would always be secondary to her friends. Her two former classmates were her best friends; the only people who knew that the secret to her success; they were the only family she had.
But when Reginald Hargreeves dies, it isn’t Diego who asks her to go with him. No, she gets the call from Luther Hargreeves, Diego’s long estranged brother and rival, asking her to come and investigate the mysterious death.
Name: Virginia West
Story: Written In Stone
Face claim: Melissa Benoist
Power: Writing manifestation
Summary: On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. Virginia West was not one of them.
While her parents loved her, they were often away, and Virginia found solace with her beloved books. A love of reading quickly turned into a dream of writing, but when she started her first story, at only nine years of age, Ginny learned that she was different. As she wrote, her characters and stories came to life around her, and the more she wrote, the more real they became. Desperate to understand her own powers, Ginny found her way to Reginald Hargreeves, and to the Umbrella Academy.
Name: Wilhelmina Hargreeves
Alias/Number: Number 7; later Number 6
Story: Children Behave
Face claim: Victoria Pedretti
Power: Redacted
Summary: As Number 7, Wilhelmina Hargreeves had always come up short of the rest of her siblings — at least, those with powers. After all, while projecting was useful, it wasn’t very useful in combat; it was a good distraction, but someone else still had to apprehend her targets. It wasn’t particularly nice, to know that she would never be good enough, but she was used to it, she could handle it.
Until she decided not to. After Five disappeared, life at the mansion became infinitely worse, and at sixteen, Willa became the next of the siblings to leave the mansion. She left her number with her siblings, packed up, and moved halfway across the country, and never heard from them again. Until Ben died. Until Ben died, and Willa knew, she just knew, that she could have prevented it if she hadn’t left — and, just a few years later, Vanya would tell the entire world the same thing when she published her book.
Which is why, when she hears about Luther’s accident only a few years later, she knows she has to go back to the house of her nightmares. She can’t let another one of her siblings die, not when she could have saved him. But when she returns to find out that she’s now Number 6, and that Luther is being sent to the moon, she realizes that Reginald had it all planned out — and she just gave him exactly what he wanted.
For four years, Willa found herself trapped in the mansion; unwilling to leave in case something happened to Luther, and unable to escape from Reginald’s constant scrutiny. Until finally, four years later, Luther is coming home, Reginald is dead, and Willa is free — and the main suspect in Reginald’s death, with the apocalypse only days away. So, maybe not so free.

Hibari Headcanons
that nobody asked for
He likes small animals but not your usual small animals. (The way he kicked uri out in the future instead of letting the cat stay 😭) I.e he’d pick a sugar glider over a guinea pig
He hates crowds because he still hates the fact that when he was still learning to be sociable kids had the power of alienating him. He despises that group mindset that children had. In kindergarten some kids invited him to play then told him to get lost and nobody stood up for him. He has one intrusive thought and it’s that feeling. He genuinely hates crowds because it feels like an opportunity for people to get to decide who isn’t welcomed. He lowkey doesn’t want to witness that moment to happen to anyone else.
His overthinking only stops when he’s alone so he genuinely does prefer it. He doesn’t mind one or two people in an intimate setting but when it’s more he wants to disconnect.
He’s all about repaying debts quickly I think he takes this on an emotional level too so he feels if you get too close or kind he has to return that by being transparent as well and he knows he’s bad at it so he just stops you altogether by not letting you even create that environment around him. I.e in the future he’s fine in the hospital room then more people come and he warns Tsuna then beats his ass because it was getting too emotional seeing ppl visit chrome when he just wanted to check on her from afar and not hear everyone’s emotions.
He takes pictures of random things , like a leaf with water droplets, clouds from Nami middles roof , his sneakers when he’s walking. They’re not amazing but he just always does it and never shares. It’s kind of grunge but unintentionally.
He has a knack for throw blankets. He has one in every room they’re mostly black white or purple no designs except for the ones from his grandparents.
If you have ever watched Saiki k I think he has the exact same relationship with his parents. If you haven’t : he’s serious and reserved and willingly antisocial but not because of trauma and his parents are so normal and caring it’s funny in contrast. But they’re a tad bit more refined than saikis.
He was partly raised by his grandparents when he was much younger and that’s why he really loves tradition and order while his parents are hardly as strict.
His grandfather was probably a vet who joined solely to protect Namimori . Hibari has that same love for the town because of him but like his grandfather he’s in no way patriotic. They both just love this town He thinks of his grandfather when he thinks of Namimori and because he is gone now he latches on to the town even more.
His grandfather is Fon. Hear me out. Fon could have been around 40 when he was cursed , could’ve had a son young (18) but it was fine because he was a very well respected champion. The Hibaris had money and as long as he was a positive image in his career field they wouldn’t mind what he did although their lineage is that of leaders and scholars. He stopped for a bit to go into the army and when he came back he stumbles upon the mafia . His son grows up to also have a kid young Fon and his wife watch after Hibari until he’s around 7 while his son and daughter in law work extremely hard to get established in their career paths. They come back and one day Fon just vanished bc he’s cursed and hibaris dad knows he was in the mafia so he just doesn’t dwell on what might have happened but doesn’t share because he didn’t want to pain him as a bad guy to his son but they’re all pretty upset about it.
Fon taught hibari how to fight , that’s why he has his grandfathers disposition and tenacity although it’s a tad immature in comparison. Fon tells him his style will be what he picks and hibari randomly picks tonfas as his weapon. Fon has it in his house because although he uses no weapons he’s fond of their history. Fon gets him a pair of silver ones.
He’s not the brightest, he’s not as terrible as Tsuna and Yamamoto but he’s average academically. He’s not interested in excelling academically and getting a painfully respectable job like doctor lawyer or something in business. And I think his air of nonchalant attitude can only come from a trust fund kid who’s parents don’t expect them to be their carbon copy.
He literally gets himself held back just to stick around a middle school he likes and nobody objects or is worried about his future. It’s definitely secured.
He really doesn’t care about the disciplinary committee members because he didn’t mean to form it. Students have a love hate relationship with him. He was just some scary strong guy who happened to beat up the right people who were pests and they thought he did it for the good of everyone. But they realized too late that it’s really just who irritates him and that sometimes coincides with their best interest so they let it be because he’s a comforting and unsettling presence to have. Like even Tsuna acknowledges this despite being terrified of him most the time he’s always like “wait Hibari will handle it”
He likes that he has disciples because it’s a crowd he’s apart of and is the center of but doesn’t have to be too close and nobody can kick him out or make him feel unwanted.
His parents actually like that he’s respected (oblivious to the fear) as the leader of this club around town because their family is known for strong leadership and he’s applied it to what he wanted.
He likes hamburger steak because when his parents came back his mom liked to test American recipes once she moved back to Japan. This was the only one he really liked enough to ask for again
He can’t cook. At all. Hopeless. Would burn water.
He would kill you for a well made dessert. They put him in a good mood but he’s a weirdo that doesn’t like rewarding himself so it has to be a gift or offered.
He actually likes band t shirts ripped jeans boots and all of that but hardly wears it out because he finds he likes being in his uniform more.
He’s a good boxer because everyone seems to forget he won a BOXING match for royhei. Hello he couldn’t use tonfas he actually had to punch ppl. Yeah he’s strong but that’s a style of fighting he definitely learned from Fon.
He jogs on a private trail around his families property, sometimes his father joins him.
His parents know him really well. He’s not a difficult kid to them. they’re the only ones he answers to but even then they raised him to be independent so they’re not that authoritative over him.
He has a hard time listening to them because he thinks they leave him to govern himself too much and shouldn’t only get a say sometimes.
They feel bad about leaving him to his grandparents for so long but his mother says she’ll never regret making sure their lives were better for him.
They have a good relationship give or take a few problems stemming from their separation from him.
He can draw really well. I don’t know why. But he just does. He does it often on random papers his only collection being a small box his mother keeps of them. He hates when she saves them.
He’s the baby of his entire family but his father is on the higher end of his family and same with his mother for hers so everyone is always asking to see him but he refuses to leave Namimori for longer than a day or two.
He has a sister. Idk. I just feel he has a sibling that’s either way older or a toddler that spends time on trips with their mother because she doesn’t have school yet.
He watches horror movies with his parents a lot. But they have to be psychological thrillers and he always has to fight his dad with his mom on what everything meant.
He’s spoiled. He’s nonchalant about everything but when it comes down to it he is a trust fund baby who would have been sent to a nice private high school abroad.
He has been arrested but his father being his father makes an arrangement with the police force in Nami where he’s just his own independent junior division. It would explain why the people in his committee look significantly older than him sometimes😭.
Tetsyua has always been the only member who’s name he learned because he doesn’t disappoint him. He is to him what Shoichi was to Byakuran , competent in other areas and capable of surprising him. And he never made Hibari feel like he had to say anything to him for that hibari considers him to be a good friend.
Tetsu and Ryohei are the only people he finds familiar and respectable enough to converse with like a normal fucking teenager 😭.
Royhei is loud but he doesn’t mind him because the boy is ALWAYS alone training. And like him he doesn’t backdown from a fight , also he causes no trouble at school.
He hangs out with him more than you’d think but he never initiates it or stops it.
Hibari lets Royhei use his private trail to jog sometimes. His parents know the sasagawa kids well because of this, they get invited to dinner a lot.
He likes kyoko better because she’s like a quieter Royhei but just as kind and determined. He tries to be nice to her by greeting her from them to time but stops because she popular and it draws attention and annoying rumors.
She says he really hates crowds and understands how nosy people in their grade are and says it’s okay if he doesn’t wave back sometimes. She assumes he’s actually extremely shy and misunderstood. (Sis he’s just a delinquent)
It’s platonic but he actually fond of her and is nice to her and they text from time to time. She’s the only one who knows to give him sweets because they talk about them.
He tries to get revenge on Mukuro for making him associate something he actually liked enough to go view (Sakura) with humiliation and anger that he tries to return the favor. The bastard loves nothing that much so he’s still thinking.
His parents think some girl broke up with him at a Sakura filled place and that’s why he suddenly hates it. He won’t explain they’re wrong because it’s better than the real story.
He’s a history buff , but a world history buff not just Japan.
He has an admirable garden that he tends to and sells half the vegetables his chef only cooks for three and doesn’t need that many.
He likes the snow he thinks it’s calming when everyone stays home in their house while outside is cold and harsh but pretty. He makes his parents special hot chocolate on days like that. They let him drink hot wine sometimes but only a sip or two.
He’s bilingual because his parents taught him Italian when he was younger after they had come back. They also taught him a little English.
He watches a lot of American media and listens to their music as well.
On his birthday he never goes out because it’s a holiday and more people are out than usual so his family has a dinner for him and get him gifts.
His mother gives more thoughtful gifts that he appreciates later while his father indulges him and gets him stuff like a popular manga series or a meeting to upgrade his tonfas again or clothing he really likes.
#for once I am content with the list#I think I got a good amount of the ones I had in#Hibari can make friends#the unexpected hibari kyoko#love it#must be nice to have dinner with the hibaris#hibari kyoya#katekyo hitman reborn#khr#Hibari Headcanons#khr headcanon#Royhei sasagawa#vongola#best buds#not really#but close enough#hibari kyouya#headcanons

Painted Souls Part 4
Author: xxwritemeastoryxx
Pairings: Elijah Mikaelson x Reader, several other ships throughout this series.
Word Count: 2.4K
Warnings: My lack of knowledge in law (I looked up as much as I could!), but besides that, nothing I can think of.
Author’s Note: Welcome to the next part! I know a lot of you guys have been waiting for this one. I apologize for the wait on that! But here it is! One of the reasons why I hadn’t updated this one is because I wasn’t sure where I saw this one going. My original idea didn’t include an end. But thankfully now it has a course and I can’t wait for you guys to see what I’ve got planned. Thank you guys for reading! ♥♥♥
Feedback gives me life and motivation for future things. ♥
<< Part 3 || Part 5 >>
"Does she do that often?" Klaus asked as he watched Y/N bite on the nail of her thumb and paced the open space of their dorm.
Caroline's head tilted as she watched Y/N. "No this is new. She usually paints when she's freaking out. This, I've never seen before."
"Come on, Y/N found out so much last night. I wouldn't expect anything less." Elena said as she plopped down on her bed.
"Can we stop speaking as if I'm not here?" Y/N asked as she looked at the others. She hadn't stopped pacing though. Her mind was reeling and she wasn't sure how to process it. Everything played on an endless loop and it just wouldn't stop.
"Your brother?!" Y/N asked with wide eyes as she looked at Klaus.
Destiny had a strange way of doing this. It took Caroline meeting Klaus in person for her to even learn anything about her soulmate.
"Here I'll prove it to you." He said as he pulled out his phone and began typing away. As soon as he placed it on the table for them to read the message, the girls and Marcel leaned in quickly to take a look.
So Katherine tried giving you her number again
Instinctively, Y/N looked at her palm. It was the very name that had been written on her palm along with the number. Was it really that small of a world?
The sound of the phone vibrating on the table pulled her eyes back to the phone, her eyes scanning over the message just as the others did.
How do you know that? I thought you were in Richmond.
Klaus smirked at the message. "Does he know about your showing?" He asked looking at Y/N.
She nodded her head slowly. "He said that he wouldn't miss it. That is what he signed with E."
He nodded as he picked up the phone and quickly typed out a few more messages before putting it down, allowing the others to see it.
Because I watched as Katherine's name and number appeared on a new friend of mine.
A lovely artist who is excited about her showing at Richmond Gallery Next week and that you'll be attending.
Y/N's heartbeat picked up at reading the messages. While only seconds had passed since the messages had been sent, she was anxious to see whatever the next message would be.
After a minute, the new text appeared on the screen.
You are with her?
Caroline chuckled. "He seems a bit skeptical about it."
"I don't blame him." Marcel said. "Especially with what happened with his ex, even I'd- ouch."
Klaus rolled his eyes. He had smacked the back of Marcel's head. That wasn't exactly something that Y/N needed to hear at that moment. He turned his attention back to Y/N who had been biting down on her bottom lip.
"May I?" He asked as he reached for her hand.
Y/N raised her eyebrow, but lifted her hand up for Klaus to take. Klaus took her hand and turned it over. As he did, he pulled the pen out of Marcel's shirt pocket and began drawing on Y/N's wrist.
"Love, can you text him back and tell him to check his wrist." He said to Caroline while never taking his eyes off what he was doing.
Y/N watched as she quickly typed out the message before placing it back down. Her eyes moved back to the drawing Klaus had been doing. It was something she knew she had never seen before in her life. But for some reason that she couldn't explain, it had felt familiar.
"What is that?" She asked.
Klaus looked up at her for a moment with a grin. "It's our family's crest."
“Are you alright, Y/N?” Elena asked watching as Y/N shook her head to try and remove the memory from being at the front of her runaway thoughts.
“Yeah.” She said with a sigh. “I'm just nervous."
"He asked you out to dinner, not to elope." Caroline noted as if it had been no big deal.
"Coming from someone who has had constant contact with your soulmate.” Y/N said shaking her head before giving Klaus a small smile. “I get that we have just met and that he is your brother, but my head is spinning in a way I didn’t think possible.”
Even after the initial shock of the night before, It seemed that Elijah was now making the effort to get to know her. There were a few questions here and there on her skin that she’d happily answer. At least that was until she had fallen asleep and woke up with his number on her wrist.
At first she was hesitant to text him. After all that time of wondering who was on the other side of the connection, she finally knew. But there she was with her thumbs hovering over the keyboard to her phone as she debated on what she should say.
It took her almost an hour to even type out her message. A simple one of stating that it was even her. From there the messages had quickly picked up. Most of it carrying on from their conversation the night before. At least that was until Elijah had told her he needed to attend a series of meetings at work, but would love to meet her for dinner tomorrow night.
It’s been two hours and she still hasn’t responded to the message. Anxiety was filling her with every passing minute and she didn’t know how to respond. Her roommates and Klaus had come back with breakfast and found Y/N just as she was.
“I don’t blame you. My brother has had a rough go of things.” Klaus noted. “Though he is an idiot for taking this long to actually speak with you. My sisters must be having a field day."
"I take it your sisters have been pushing him to this?" There was worry in Y/N's words. The thoughts that followed the simple question had played through her head like a never ending parade.
What if he didn't really want to do this? What if he had only been doing this to please his siblings? What if she wasn't what he wanted or needed for that matter?
"Elijah doesn't do anything he doesn't want to. You have nothing to worry about." Klaus said, hoping to ease Y/N in some way. He could practically see the runaway train.
"Look, Y/N." Elena said as she got up from her seat and walked over to her. "You two are meant to be together. Tomorrow night will be good for the both of you. It doesn't hurt to have one dinner date.
“Elena’s right.” Caroline added. “From what Klaus has told me, you both need this. And it wouldn’t hurt to get to know the man before your Gallery showing.”
Y/N nodded and took a deep breath trying to calm herself a little more. "You guys are right.”
She knew that if she had put it off any longer it would make her go crazy on the night of the showing. If she had met and gotten to know Elijah before then it would make for a night for them to enjoy. Not a night of possible awkward conversation in order to get to know each other.
Without any other thought to make her back out, she pulled out her phone and sent Elijah a quick text.
I’d love that. Anywhere specific in mind?
_________
“I thought we were done with meetings for the day. “Finn said as he sat down in his normal chair in the conference room. Elijah sat on the left of Finn while Freya had been standing off to the side.
“Apparently our father would like for us to take on a new case.” Freya clarified as she handed a copy of the file to each of her brothers. “It’s nowhere in our normal practice, but we’ve all handled a case or two like this.
As Elijah opened the file, his eyes widened as he took in the information. “Please tell me you’re joking.” He said as he looked up at his sister.
“Afraid not.” She replied with a shrug.
“Lucien Castle.” Finn said as he read from the file. “That’s one hell of a crime he is being convicted of.”
“It wouldn’t be an easy task, but we may be able to pull it off.” Elijah said as his eyes continued to scan over the file. “There is a lack of evidence in several spaces. We might be able to turn this in our favor.”
“There is another thing I should mention before you get completely excited about this being a possible win for us.” Freya said as she looked between the two. She sighed softly as she sat on the table across from them. “The District Attorney is Greta Sienna.”
Finn tossed the file on the table and leaned back in his seat. “I do hope the both of you don’t have plans for later this evening. If Greta is the DA, there is a lot of work we’ll have on our hands. She won’t take this lightly and if our father is asking us to take this on, it’s not just business, this is personal.”
“I’ll make some calls and get everything we need.” Freya said as she stood up and moved to leave the room.
At that second, Elijah’s phone went off with a text message. A small smile pulled on his lips at the sight of the name on the screen. He hadn't even seen the message yet.
I'd love that. Anywhere specific in mind?
Elijah would have hardly believed it himself if he hadn't felt the way his heart sped up at the words. While he and Y/N had been texting for quite a while and he had been enjoying the conversation, he had been skeptical about how this was going to go.
But reading the message had made the stress of the day fade so easily. His thumb hovered over the keyboard for a moment before typing out his message.
I may have somewhere in mind. Though you won’t know until we get there.
"I do believe that is the first time I've seen you grin like that while texting in a while." Finn said as he observed his brother. "I take it you've been speaking with Y/N."
It had been a while since Finn, or any of the other siblings, had seen Elijah smile as he had been at that moment. After Celeste left Elijah, Finn and the rest of his siblings had tried as much as they could to cheer up Elijah. But as Finn had expected after a break up such as what Elijah had experienced, he just wanted to be left alone and not for his siblings to mettle as they had been.
Elijah chuckled and placed the phone down. “It’s strange. I’ve been fighting this for so long. I didn’t expect it to be so...easy.”
A small smirk pulled at Finn’s lips. “If I’m not mistaken, the point of the universe giving us a soulmate is to give us the best chance we have at love.”
Elijah rolled his eyes. He had heard that exact saying from his mother his whole life. The whole Mikaelson clan had heard their mother talk about how their soulmate connection worked. How they’d be able to find them easily, but it would be a lot of work in getting to know them and keeping them in their life.
Having Celeste in his life had clouded that from him. He truly believed that even though he had a soulmate out there in the world that he and Celeste would be able to make things work. Plenty of people had lived their life without ever meeting their soulmate. They loved someone else and things had worked out. Elijah had hoped that would be the case for them. But he had been proven wrong.
“How is Sage?” Elijah asked, attempting to change the subject.
“She’s wonderful.” Finn said with a grin growing on his lips. “Even though the honeymoon has been over, it definitely doesn’t feel that way. She was definitely worth the wait.”
Elijah’s phone went off again and he had been quick to reach for it. It caused Finn to chuckle at the sight. “Say another word and I’ll leave you and Freya to do all the preliminary work.” Finn put his hands up in surrender before going back to the file in front of him.
How is that fair?!
Again the message had brought the smile back to his face. At least that was until the next message came in.
Klaus said if you hate surprises you shouldn’t torment me with one.
It had actually made Elijah wonder why Klaus was still around Y/N. Had Caroline and Y/N been that attached to the hip that his brother would be feeding her unnecessary things?
If my brother knows what’s good for him, he’ll keep things to himself. Wouldn’t want me to spill secrets to Caroline.
There had been an instant reply.
Oh, do tell. Caroline would love all the secrets.
I’ll take the surprise and I’ll be fine. Can I at least know how to dress?
He thought for a moment. He hadn’t even really thought of where he wanted to take her for dinner yet. He had a few places in mind, but he hadn’t picked where just yet. There were several restaurants that passed his mind in that second. But none of them had felt right.
At least that was until another place came into mind. He quickly typed out his message. Just as he hit send, Freya came back in with a stack of files and placed them on the table.
“This isn’t even half of it.” She mentioned as she spread them out.
“We really are going to be here all night.” Elijah said as he ran his hand down his face.
With that, the siblings began the process of going through the police reports and other things to find a way to ensure they could do their best to prove Lucien’s innocence and go up against their least favorite person, who was making the case against them.

cds.
do you still buy physical copies of cds? I stopped for many years but recently started again.
have you ever listened to a cd for the first time and loved every track? I was like this with Petals for Armor, Flowers for Vases, and After Laughter; I’m just a super big fan of anything Hayley Williams and Paramore put out.
name an artist who always comes out with great albums: I mean I’m gonna be biased and say Paramore...
how long can you listen to a cd without getting sick of it? I don’t really listen to CDs per se, I guess, so I dunno if I can answer this. When I want to music, and a particular artist, I usually pick a playlist composed of songs from different albums.
do you know any good places on the internet to get free downloads of whole albums? I wouldn’t be able to refer you to one, come to think of it.
what was the last cd you bought? My Butter/Permission to Dance set.
have you ever gotten a cd signed by the artist? Nope.
name cds that are in your car right now or would be in your car if you had one: I don’t keep CDs in my car just because I get my music played by connecting my phone to the Bluetooth; but I believe for the longest time I had a Beyoncé album in the CD slot before I took it out.
your hair.
describe your hair style: It’s wavy and layered is the most I can say about it. I don’t style it often.
when was the last time you got a haircut? Around the start or mid-August, I think? I don’t remember when exactly; but it was very recent.
is your hair the only thing you drastically change? I never do drastically change it to begin with. The only things I do with it are 1) let it grow out, 2) have it trimmed to my collarbones once a year.
would you rather have brown, blonde, or black hair (not your natural)? I have black hair, but it would be interesting to go brown.
what's the shortest you've ever had your hair? Up to below my ears.
have you ever had bangs? I currently have bangs and am more than sick of them already ath this point.
if not, do you plan on ever getting them // if you have them, do you plan on growing them out? Yeah, for the latter.
fantasies.
what do you fantasize about most often? How my life could’ve turned out if we weren’t in a pandemic is definitely one of them. Would I have been able to get the same job? Remain in the relationship I used to be in and maybe have even gotten better at handling it? What cities could I have possibly already traveled to with my own money?
if your last fantasy came true, how happy would you be? That would be traveling to South Korea, and I would be over the moon.
how much do you fantasize? Mmm not very often since my work takes up most of my headspace. I usually daydream before bed, I think.
or am i the only one who does? Definitely not.
have you ever told anyone who has been in your fantasy about it? I mean, I just always tell Angela and Reena that I can’t wait to go to Korea with them. But I don’t fantasize about irls in the way that I think you mean.
would you rather fantasize about your ex or the hottest teacher in your school for the rest of your life? I don’t ever want to think of my ex in that way anymore and I’m not in school.
do you often find yourself fantasizing about things/people you know you shouldn't? I mean I will fantasize about certain celebrities but idk if that falls as a should/shouldn’t thing.
your ex.
who did the most damage in your preexisting relationship? I think we both showed our worst weaknesses towards one another. But by the end of it, I will say she inflicted more damage onto me.
if you were/are single, would you have sex with them? Um at this point, no. I barely think about sex anyway.
would/did you give this person your virginity? I did. My feelings for her today aside, I don’t regret it; I trusted her in that moment and I wouldn’t take that away from me.
do you still miss the good times with them? Only in the sense that she used to be my best friend for an extremely long period of time and nearly all the great memories from my past were made with her. do you still talk often? how often? Oh not at all. I haven’t kept in touch since the last day of 2020. did you make a big deal about the break up? Yeah, I was definitely the more reactive one and it lasted for a couple of months. She bounced as soon as she got out of the relationship and I wish I had gotten the hint sooner.
how long did it take you to get over them? Around 6 or 7 months. I really thought it would take so much longer.
if you could tell them one thing, what would it be: I have nothing to say.
the song you're listening to/the song that's stuck in your head/any song you want to talk about
favorite lyric in the song: “Where there is hope, there is hardship.”
what is the song? It’s a song called Sea.
artist: BTS.
how'd you get introduced to this song? It was briefly played in one of their docu-series; I just can’t remember which one. Anyway, I instantly took a liking since it isn’t their usual sound, so I wanted to look it up; and it made a lot more sense when I learned it was initially meant to be a solo for one of the members.
if you could perfectly play this on any instrument, which instrument would it be? Oh this song would be perfect on a violin.
would you have sex with the artist/anyone in the band? Why does everything always revolve around sex for some people?? < LOL same question but to answer it anyway, hahahahaha yes
can you relate to the lyrics? Not in the manner in which it was written, but I do have my own interpretation of it that I am able to relate with a lot. The song definitely gets me emotional.
name a friend that you think would like it: Angela, only because I know she already does like it hahaha. In general, though, K-Pop is still quite polarizing so idk if any of my friends outside of the K-Pop bubble would appreciate it.
would you rather have sex to this song or witness your dad singing it to your friends? Uhm, maybe the latter because I think it would be adorable in a very dorky way
favorite restaurant.
how many times have you been to this place? Countless times, but they were always with my ex. I need to revisit that place just by myself lol.
where is it located? It has multiple branches across the metro but the one I used to frequent is the one at UPTC.
when was the first time you came here? I have no idea but I think the first time was with my mom and siblings actually. A rough guess would be...2016? or maybe 2017.
what's the name of the restaurant? Yabuuuu.
what kind of atmosphere does it have? On the sophisticated sidde but still casual and homey, especially since it offers unlimited rice and sides and you can always just call on a server to dump a scoop of rice or lettuce or whatever when you’ve run out of them haha.
does it have a bar? No, but if I remember correctly they do offer a few alcoholic drinks.
have you ever been here for a birthday? Yes, for my 21st birthday. I went with Angela.
what do you order when you're here? I get their rosu set, which is katsu with a strip of fat.
are they famous for any drinks? No.
have you ever gone here with your significant other? Many times. It was our favorite restaurant.
if it shut down (if its a chain, the entire chain) permanently, how sad would you be? That would soooo shitty. I’d order a meal everyday until it disappears forever lol.
would you work here? No. I love the brand, but not so desperately so as to work for them haha.
favorite teacher
(I don’t really have one, but I’ll refer to the first good professor that popped in my head.)
how old is this person? I have no clue but I would guess he’s anywhere in the mid-20s to early-30s range.
name: HAHAHAHAHA I don’t actually remember his name anymore...oh no...but he was my prof in my international relations class.
are they married? I know he has a boyfriend, not sure about his relationship status. That’s not of my business to know.
would you marry them? Well, no.
do they have kids? I’m fairly certain he doesn’t.
have you ever seen them out of school? Not me but I know some of my college friends have. It’s how I heard he has a boyfriend lol.
what's so great about them that makes them your favorite? He was clearly very passionate about our subject and he was able to explain concepts helpfully and in a way that anybody can appreciate, considering I wasn’t even majoring in the course he taught.
are they more laidback about teaching or strict? Laidback.
do they run any clubs or coach any sports? Not that I know of.
what's their personality like? Approachable, friendly.
if they weren't a teacher, what do you think would be a good profession for them? Political analyst.

The problem with authority is that if you leave it lying around, others will take it. — Yoon Ha Lee, Ninefox Gambit
Qin Su was tired of the constant hovering.
Every time she set foot outside her own rooms, she was beset by disciples and the wives of subordinates, telling her over and over how very sorry they were.
It was all bullshit.
Fake, social climbing schemers, who were more concerned with the fact that Jin Guangshan’s legitimate grandson was once again the sect heir, than sorry for the death of her son. Her A-Song.
They expected her to sob constantly, to wail and tear her hair from her scalp. That they could comfort Qin Su by repeating the same trite, cloying words day-by-day. Earn a little status out of tragedy. If Qin Su had to listen to one more apology, she was going to be sick all other the offending madam’s embroidery hoop.
It was true that she still couldn’t go a day without crumbling into tears. But mostly, she was numb. Exhausted, in more ways than one. She wanted to go to sleep, and wake with her son tucked safely into bed, or not wake up at all.
The private treasury was the only place where she could be certain she would not be disturbed. Even in her own bedroom, it would only be so long before a maid was sent to find her. Only she and her husband could open the hidden entrance to the vault. Only in the treasury, could she be alone, to find something to distract herself, however briefly, from the avalanche of her grief.
There were still many items that had been claimed by her deceased father-in-law after the war that had not been cataloged. Priceless relics and weapons and irreplaceable texts alike sat neglected in trunks. Jin Guangshan had cared only for possession, occasionally touting one item or another out to show off. Ten months after A-Yao’s succession, shelves continued to sit empty. Neither she nor A-Yao had found the time, busy keeping everything running smoothly, as he made bids for projects he called progress with the gleam in his eyes that had first made her chase after him. Back when he seemed flattered by her attention, interested in her as more than a friend or colleague.
Qin Su herself managed the internal minutiae of the Sect and oversaw disciple training. The latter would traditionally fall to the Head Disciple, but they had lost one after another. The woman who had been intended to aid Jin Zixuan had resigned over some disagreement before his death. Her replacement, a second or third cousin to the main Jin Clan, married out to the leader of the Fengyang Hua Sect, a growing sect that bordered Gusu and Lanling. Their replacement died at Nightless City, along with the next dozen or so disciples in line. And so Qin Su was free to manage the training as she wished.
Or had been, until she was asked to take a step back from training, for fear her grief would destabilize her qi. It was true that she had been unable to focus. However, stewing in the unending reminders that she would never hold A-Song in her arms again was no help. Attending to her duties as a hostess only made it worse.
Sorting the looted relics was mindless work, that required none of the focus she had lacked for the forty-one days since A-Song’s death. But it was something to occupy her hands, and some small part of her thoughts.
She began with the books that day, sorting into titles that were common and could be sold, those that needed to be repaired, and those to dangerous to be held anywhere but the treasury. Qin Su moved to start a new pile, for useful, rare texts that should be copied, on a table, and a disorganized pile of notes and notebooks caught her eye.
It was the disorganization that stood out. A-Yao never left anything out like that. He must have been called away, but if he returned and saw it, that would trigger his own flood of tears. Qin Su had heard him sobbing, late into the night, from the next room over. But each morning, he greeted his work with his habitual dedication, no matter how puffy his eyes, or how little he’d slept. A-Yao would never forgive himself if his work was delayed by his composure crumbling over a small thing out of place.
She picked up the papers, intending only to organize them into an even stack, and place them evenly between the notebooks. But their subject caught her attention.
A circular array was drawn on each paper. Identical, to her unpracticed eyes, with varied notes printed in precise calligraphy in different locations on each page.
Qin Su had always focused on the sword, leaving talismans to those with innovative minds yet weaker cores, like her husband. Yet this array made her look twice.
Sacrifice Summon was written at the top of the first page, the one with the least writing. The soul of the caster is permanently exchanged for that of a chosen spirit or ghost, fully resurrecting the deceased. It was a complex design, meant to drawn in the blood of the caster.
Voices, from the other side of the portal. A-Yao must have wanted to show an item from the vault to a guest. Her heartbeat sped up, her hands shaking as she dropped the papers back onto the table.
The last thing Qin Su wanted was to have to greet her husband’s guests, while he smiled his disappointment in her for shirking her duties.
She raised the tablecloth and ducked beneath, knocking one of the papers off the table as she did so. Catching it, she pulled it to her chest, dropping the cloth back into place just in time. It was dark in the small space, and stuffy. Her heart hammered hard enough Qin Su felt certain it must be audible throughout the room. But her presence was not discovered, and so Qin Su did not have to answer as to why Jin-furen was hiding from her own husband.
“The remainder of the He Clan has been dealt with.” Su Minshan reported. His voice was easily identifiable from the obsequiousness with which he always treated her husband. She’d asked A-Yao what he saw in him once, and he’d flashed his dimples at her and said, unfaltering loyalty is a trait I cannot afford to lose. So Qin Su tolerated Su Minshan, though he made her skin crawl. And made certain never to be caught alone with him. “Xue Yang tracked them down to the last man.”
Why he kept Xue Yang around, on the other hand, was a mystery.
“Good, that’s good,” A-Yao said. Never shy of heaping praise on his subordinates, he would be smiling up at the other man. “Tell me, what did Xue Yang bring back with him?”
“A few urchins, from town. He said they were his payment for leaving the bodies alone.” Su Minshan scoffed, disgusted.
It didn’t sound like Xue Yang had brought the children to become disciples.
There was the slap of a forehead hitting a palm. A-Yao’s voice was slightly muffled as he gave an exasperated sigh. “I told him he could experiment with animals or dead bodies or not at all. Especially not children.” There was the slightest break in his voice at the word children. “Xue Yang has outlived his usefulness. Have him disposed of and left somewhere remote.”
The command was delivered coldly, casually. He sounded nothing like the warm, if more distant than Qin Su had initially expected, husband she knew.
“Yes, Zongzhu.” A pair of disciples said, their footsteps receding as they took their leave.
“Your research is not completed, is it?” Su Minshan asked, once they were gone.
“I have better means now. My dear younger brother is eager to please, and will not dismember the test animals for kicks and giggles.” A-Yao spoke as though this was an ongoing discussion, yet Qin Su, his wife, had never heard a whisper of research on animals before that day. Only of field testing of the Yiling Patriarch’s inventions. “Or decide to run tests on townspeople and dismember them, too.”
Just what had her husband been allowing Xue Yang to do? It seemed impossible that flighty little Mo Xuanyu could achieve it, whatever it was.
“Another headache eliminated, then.” Su Minshan said. “That’s nearly all the most dangerous ones out of the way.”
There was a weighted pause before A-Yao replied, incongruously. “I did love my son, you know.”
“I did not mean to imply otherwise.” Su Minshan rushed to assure him. “I am deeply sorry this step was necessary.”
Step? What was he implying about A-Song?
“If only that woman had told you the truth earlier.” Su Minshan snarled. “Keeping it a secret while her daughter courted her own half-brother? What a selfish bitch.”
What? Qin Su clapped her hands over her mouth, stifling a choked gasp.
“Now, Minshan, please. You remember what my father was like. We were all of us his victims. A-Su, me, and both of our mothers.” For the first time, Qin Su understood what Lianfang-zun’s detractors meant when they said he dripped insincerity. “Ultimately, A-Song’s death can be placed at his feet.”
But A-Song was murdered after Jin Guangshan died, she thought stupidly. Utterly frozen in place, the short, harsh pants of her breath the only sign she had not just been dropped into hell. The two men spoke for a few more minutes, but Qin Su didn’t hear a word.
It was some time after they left that Qin Su moved, her stiff joints causing her to fall onto her side on the edge of the tablecloth.
How was she ever supposed to face the court, knowing what she did now? Look her half-brother in the face without screaming?
The honorable thing would be to expose him, and to then take her own life to restore her own honor.
She couldn’t. She couldn’t do that to her father, to her older siblings. Half-siblings, now, she supposed, with a crazed giggle. The only real siblings, the only real father Qin Su would ever have. It would be better if they never knew what had happened to their mother. To her.
But she couldn’t carry on as she had, either.
The forgotten paper crinkled in her hands. The Sacrifice Summon. Exchanging her life for another’s.
Was that the solution she was searching for? Could she?
Qin Su remembered her husband’s - her brother’s voice saying especially not children. Only breaths before declaring his own son’s death necessary.
Her A-Song was lost forever.
There was, however, another child under Lianfang-zun’s care. Another mother whose son was not lost, but who had nevertheless lost the chance to see him grow. If Qin Su exchanged her life for that woman’s, perhaps her soul would pass on quickly enough to find A-Song in another life.
Jiang Yanli would see Jin Ling grow up safely, ensure Lianfang-zun did not keep the power he had married his own sister and murdered his own son to secure.
That would be best for everyone.
Qin Su shakily extracted herself from beneath the table, returning to the one room she could be certain Lianfang-zun would never enter.
Now she knew why.
Locking the door to her room, Qin Su emptied what little was in her stomach into the chamber pot. When she was through, she began to draw the array.
The first thing Jiang Yanli noticed was the silence. She had been on the battlefield at Nightless City, pushed A-Xian aside, and a sword went through her heart —
She had been dead. She was certain.
Oh, A-Xian. What did you do?
Slowly, Jiang Yanli sat up. She was sprawled on the floor of a well-appointed lady’s bedroom. In Koi Tower, by the color scheme, but its occupant had uncommon taste. Rather than gilded everything, there were accents of gold on the drapery and to emphasize ink paintings of the ocean and a palace she did not recognize.
There was also the matter of the array of blood that surrounded her. Demonic cultivation, which only supported her certainty that A-Xian was involved. But where was he? And if she was in Koi Tower, where was her son?
Yunmeng, something inside her whispered. Though she could not explain why, she knew it was true.
Checking herself for cuts, she found a gash across the palm of her hand. But it was already sealing, far faster than Jiang Yanli had healed from so much as a paper cut before her death.
She wasn’t an expert in raising the dead like her brother, but Jiang Yanli was fairly certain fierce corpses did not work that way. At the very least, she should have been bleeding black. Yet her blood was as red as ever.
Getting to her feet, she started to inspect the room for clues. On the way to the desk, she passed a mirror. Her gaze skipped past a mirror. And snapped back.
It was not Jiang Yanli’s face that looked back.
This woman’s face was rounder and softer than her own. Pretty, with a natural pink in her cheeks where Jiang Yanli’s had always had to be painted on, due to the frequency with which she lost her breath and grew dizzy. There, too, was a hint of the agelessness that came with a fully developed golden core. With a feeling of foreboding, Jiang Yanli felt along her meridians until she reached her core. No longer a weak, underdeveloped thing due to her inability to practice the heavily physical Jiang techniques, it shone bright and strong.
That was a point against this being A-Xian’s doing. He wouldn’t have stolen her a body, when he could simply bring back her own.
Why am I alive? Asked a voice in her head.
That would have been a reasonable question. Only it wasn’t Jiang Yanli thinking it.
Maybe resurrection came with the ability to understand spirits. The results were entirely untested, so it was possible. Yet the voice seemed certain it was alive. If her current state was due to demonic cultivation, she might as well do what A-Xian would: experiment.
“I could ask you the same question.” Jiang Yanli told the voice.
Jiang Yanli? It worked! But why am I in your head?
“Are you the one who brought me back?” She tilted her head back, trying to place the way the voice made her head feel. Almost like the moment at the start of meditation when she began to forget her body to focus on her spirit, but with a disconnect keeping her grounded.
Yes. And then, I can hear your thoughts, the voice said, you don’t need to speak out loud.
That was disconcerting. Is this your body? She thought at the voice.
Yes. The voice said. Stop calling me that. I’m Qin Su.
Strangely, it was a relief to have a name. It made Qin Su feel more real than anything else in this surreal afterlife. So it would be more accurate to say I’m in your head. Am I possessing you?
It was supposed to be an exchange. My soul for yours.
Well clearly, it hadn’t worked that way.
Responding to her unformed question, the woman continued. The array is on the desk.
This… It was obviously A-Xian’s work, copied out by a more careful hand. But it looked incomplete, a half-developed first draft or his scattered notes on an older text that he could always piece back together perfectly, but left out crucial details for anyone else. Utterly unlike the labeled, if nearly illegible, minutiae on his complete work. Jiang Yanli would never have cast an array with so little information. Especially not one of A-Xian’s.
I didn’t know the Yiling Patriarch. And I wasn’t exactly thinking clearly.
No, she supposed not. Anyone casting this array would have to be desperate.
Everything fell apart and I just… used what I had on hand. There was the impression of a shrug, like her mind contorting itself into a new shape. My impulse decisions always have terrible consequences. That’s how I ended up pregnant and marrying the last person in the world I should have. Qin Su gave a short, harsh burst of hysterical laughter, startling Jiang Yanli into making the same noise aloud.
Telling whoever this abusive asshole was that her husband had died only a week ago, and she was certainly not performing any marital duties could wait until she figured out what Qin Su had done.
There are other pages with more notes in the treasury.
Jiang Yanli sprang to her feet. I’ll need to see them immediately.
She slid open the doors, and came face to face with a maid carrying cleaning supplies. Jiang Yanli quickly shut the doors behind her, so the maid could not catch a glimpse of the blood still staining the floor.
“Oh! Jin-furen.” The maid bowed deeply. “This one apologizes for assuming you would be out.”
It was something of a shock to be addressed by a title that had, from her perspective, belonged to her mother-in-law only yesterday. Jin-furen?
Ah, yes. I’ve been Jin-furen since Jin Guangshan… passed… ten months ago. The word “passed” came with a flash of embarrassment, telling Jiang Yanli enough for her to extrapolate the cause of death.
Jin Guangyao must be Jin-zongzhu then. Strange, he hadn’t seemed the abusive type.
Not abuse. Worse. Qin Su gagged in her mind, making Jiang Yanli do the same.
“Are you all right, Jin-furen?” The maid asked, hovering closer.
At least the gagging gave her an excuse not to allow anyone inside. “I’ll be fine. But please wait to clean until tomorrow. I’m afraid I’m not feeling well. Would you have some soup sent on a tray for my dinner?”
“Of course, Jin-furen.” The maid backed away, bowed, and hurried off.
Jiang Yanli turned to inspect the door, placing her hands on her hips. With Qin Su’s Golden Core, she could likely cast a locking spell. If she knew how, that was. She had always relied on A-Xian’s talismans, many of which he developed specifically for her. Unfortunately, she had none on hand.
That’s easy. Qin Su said. Draw the characters for lock, then modify it with…
It took Jiang Yanli a few tries to draw properly on her new core, but she was able to lock the door against casual entry. No cultivator with a sword would be kept out for long, but they would have to be willing to trespass in Jin-furen’s bedchamber.
The thin flush of victory faded the second she stepped through the treasury portal. Suibian lay on a shelf, visible from the door. A-Xian had not carried his sword for a long time. But he would never have handed it over to the Jin Clan, unless it was directly into Jiang Yanli’s arms. Something had gone terribly wrong.
Qin Su. Why is my A-Xian’s sword in the treasury? Jiang Yanli demanded. The answering silence was deafening. “Qin Su! Tell me why!”
He… died. At Nightless City. Not long after you did. Qin Su’s voice was hesitant, as though confused why she cared.
“No!” She let out a choked sob, clasping a hand over her mouth. A-Xian wasn’t — he couldn’t be —
Didn’t he kill you? I was told —
“No! Never!” A-Xian would never have hurt her. I tried to save him.
Silence, for a moment, other than Jiang Yanli’s own ragged breaths. Then, I’m sorry. I’ve learned a lot of things I believed were lies today. Perhaps what they said about him was too.
They were. A-Xian was bright, and good, and cared too much. He had never been what they thought. Jiang Yanli had not needed to ask to know A-Xuan’s death was a horrible mistake, likely the result of stepping in between his cruel, vindictive cousin and her brother at the wrong moment. If he had meant to kill Jin Zixun, A-Xian had had good reason.
I think anyone who had the misfortune of meeting Jin Zixun considered killing him. Qin Su said wryly.
Jiang Yanli had had those thoughts. She gave a watery giggle that was answered in her head. It was sweet of Qin Su to try to comfort her when she could feel that she was still reeling for her own reasons. The least Jiang Yanli could do in return was get her some answers.
On the table.
She found the stack of diagrams easily, along with a tattered notebook that appeared to contain A-Xian’s original work. Jiang Yanli flipped through that, knowing that unless had both gotten a hold of one of the few people that could read his note-taking scrawl — her, Lan Wangji, and perhaps Wen Qing, who had taken their turns as A-Xian’s sounding board in succession — and convinced them to help details would likely have been missed.
You can read that? Qin Su was incredulous.
Years of practice, she replied. Before Lan Wangji, Jiang Yanli had been the only person who took A-Xian’s inventions seriously, the only person willing to sit and listen while he bounced from idea to idea, eventually solving the problem himself.
The average person would not think it necessary to puzzle out the text under a sketch of Lan Wangji holding a child, assuming it was a caption. When it was, in fact, an absolutely crucial detail. A detail that had made A-Xian conclude the Sacrifice Summon Array should never be used.
There were perhaps a dozen variations on the array. Most worked in a similar way to what Qin Su had intended, summoning a spirit to take the caster’s place. The earliest could not target a specific soul, but A-Xian had worked that out. Luckily, Qin Su had used one of those arrays, allowing Jiang Yanli to be summoned, rather than causing the closest vengeful spirits to battle for her body. The very last caused the caster’s body to be torn apart, and replaced with a copy of the spirit’s own.
But every version had two things in common: a call for revenge, and the destruction of the caster’s soul.
In her mind, Qin Su went perfectly still.
Jiang Yanli had a theory as to why Qin Su’s soul had not been consumed by the array. It had started the job, pulling Jiang Yanli in, but Qin Su had not asked for revenge, and so the array spat most of her back out. What the consequences were, for either of their spirits, she could not begin to guess.
There was a distinctive air of panic to Qin Su’s continued silence.
Qin Su, Jiang Yanli prodded, if this had worked the way it’s written, your soul would have been consumed by it. What could have been worth this?
I didn’t know about that. I didn’t want that.
It didn’t happen. You’re still here. She attempted to reassure Qin Su, wishing there was a way to mentally pat someone on the head. That had always helped calm both her brothers.
I’m still here. Whatever the fuck that means. Qin Su giggled nervously. That wasn’t very ladylike.
I think it’s forgivable, under the circumstances. Jiang Yanli raised a sleeve to cover her smile.
You don’t know the half of it. Qin Su sighed. I didn’t think things like this happened, outside of stories.
Jiang Yanli waited for her to go on, gritting her teeth in response to a wave of bitterness.
Only a few hours ago, I found out my so-called husband is my half-brother and he murdered our son. And now here we are.
Oh. Jiang Yanli could not so much as think of a reassuring response. What the fuck is correct.
“A-Su,” Jin Guangyao said from behind her, before Qin Su could say anything more. “I’ve been looking everywhere for you.”

just look for my owl (two)
fred weasley x y/n series
a.n: Fred Weasley Fic!!! wondering if this will get anywhere. i’m sticking all my friends names in this and it’s very entertaing for me. 2.3k words in this bad boy, and i’m feeling confident in my decision to write on wattpad and tumblr HEHE. enjoy! please keep in mind that i only use they/them for y/n!
Our beloved Fred Weasley falls for Ilvermorny student [y/n] [l/n]. He’s determined to get to them, but the only way he can is through post sent through the two. The only thing left for the pair is to just look for an owl.
Click here for part one! <3
☾
[y/n l/n] had been waiting for their owl to return with their aunt's response to their rant about what exactly to do with the little time they have on their hands.
A new year at Ilvermorny was set for Y/n, but they did not know how long they'd be able to last the back and forth sprinting from home back to school.
Luckily, their partner, Leslie, was able to help them out with their time management.
[y/n] and Leslie had begun seeing each other at the end of Y/n's fifth year, initially bonding from their participation in Quadpot.
Leslie was good for Y/n, no doubt, but as of lately, they haven't been able to see Leslie as much, leading to a disinterest forming from Y/n's side. Just a few hours back, [y/n] was not able to pry themselves off of Leslie's roaming hands, eager for a person next to them who did not constantly leave off.
Yes, they did live half an hour from the school, but Y/n's weekends began turning into three-day ones, ones that made them miss out on Quadpot games and Homework assignments, and ones that made them miss out on Leslie's presence.
It was involuntarily sprinting, but what was [y/n] to do, leave their mother all alone with no one to take care of her? Their father was gone, no siblings, the rest of the family overseas, there was truly nothing. And besides, it was family over anything.
Y/n's mother was 68, just a few years younger than her sister Minerva. She had always been upbeat and extroverted, but as of lately she's been unable to just get up from bed. Along with the old age, it just wasn't looking good, as much as [y/n] didn't want to think about it.
As [y/n] was walking in through their front porch, they saw a brown owl swoop in through the kitchen window with a letter presumably from her aunt.
[y/n] dropped their bag from Ilvermorny in the initial home hallway and ran to the sink where the window was propped open with an owl perched on the ledge.
"Perfect," says Y/n. They hurriedly step on the back of their shoe one by one to slide them off and hurried to the table, wherewith excitement, they open the parcel.
[y/n] had always loved sending and showing polaroid photos to anyone, and as of late, their aunt had corresponded with that.
Inside the parcel was their usual parchment essay, and- holy shit, thought Y/n. At least 15 polaroid snapshots this time from Aunt McGonagall.
[y/n] grinned at this gesture and fished out the photos.
McGonagall had provided a photo of her classroom, the architecture at Hogwarts, their aunt in front of a- cauldron? Gross, thought y/n. Flipping the photos, McGonagall had added notes at the back of them. Her aunt even added a photograph of a... stained textbook? She just probably forgot about this scrap, thought y/n.
Still looking through the polaroids their Aunt had sent them, [y/n] ended up finding a lot of color combinations of mostly red and yellow.
[y/n] knew that her Aunt was head of Gryffindor house, as she had talked about the houses a bunch to them in her letters which is why most of the photos were that color scheme.
Houses were not new topics to y/n, as Ilvermorny had four as well: Horned Serpent, Wampus, Thunderbird, and Pukwudgie. They were a Thunderbird at school, playing for their Quadpot team as #5, and they were good at it.
Just as [y/n] was thinking about Quadpot, they passed through two snapshots of presumably Hogwarts Quadpot team- or so they meant Quidditch.
[y/n] was now looking closely at these photos; one of them being a team photo, and the other a candid of team members #3 and #5- hey, just like my number, thought Y/n.
[y/n] had probably stared at both of the boys' back profile for two solid minutes without blinking, forgetting about their partner Leslie. There was nothing on the back of the photo regarding names.
Shoulder blades showing through his practice jersey, #5 having more of an athletic figure when compared to #3, who also had a built back, but was a bit cut off in the frame while #5 was perfectly in it. "This is so sad", murmured Y/n, wishing they could see who #5 was, even with a partner. He had a broom in his hand that was held on so tight by his arm, almost as if it were to fly off in mere seconds. His grip was firm, making everything in his arm flexed and tense, making [y/n] take a deep breath.
Saddened by this fact, they admit that it is best that they stop staring at this poor boy, who was most likely just watching a scrimmage in front of him. Who were they to stare, but they continued to. "... so stupid," they thought. "Wait-"
With a spark of brilliance, [y/n] quickly looks for the team photo their aunt had sent them, dropping everything in their hands and looking through the stack of polaroids until- there he was.
#5 towering over the rest of his teammates, posing for a team photo taken by the Head of Gryffindor house. The members had been arranged in two rows, four players in the back and three in the front. The shorter ones were in the front and luckily did not block Y/n's view. They flipped the photo to check for names again, but there was nothing except for "Gryffindor 1994 Quidditch Team," written in their Aunt's cursive writing.
He was on the far right, next to- #6 who looked exactly the same.
"Twins," said [y/n] with a wide mouth, still in awe of how attractive they all were.
Ignoring #6 even though him and #5 were identical, Y/n's eyes went back on #5, looking down his body at least twenty times in the minute they had spent staring at the photo. He had a smile on his face, straight teeth, and messy red hair which must have been the result of a long practice. He had his arm on his twin's shoulder, and his other arm reached over the teammate next to him, #4. The arm on his twin was hanging off his brother's shoulder with goggles in hand, gripping just on the strap. There was a light sweat on his face and neck which provided a gleam to it, not too much sweat though, it was a perfect shine extenuating his sharp angles, even his Adam's apple slightly more visible with the shine on it.
Although the photo was a collective snapshot, [y/n] was able to see the build on absolutely every single player. This included the one they had their eye on, #5. The same practice jersey [y/n] had seen before was clinging onto his skin and chest, giving them an image of his build. He was lean, for what they could see, and visibly athletic. [y/n] had begun to wonder what their Aunt was thinking when she sent these photos of her team after practice, well, [y/n] knew, it was not meant to be perceived this way, but still.
#5 was undoubtedly handsome, and they wished to know his name, beginning to be angered by just referring to him as a number on a team. They checked again for a name, but there was nothing.
The rest of the team was just as attractive as #5, #7 having black hair and glasses that [y/n] wondered how they stayed on during a match. His hair was also messed up, and there was a shine on his face from the sun and sweat, his Jersey a bit larger than everyone else's, leading it to hang a bit and show off his collarbones and neck.
#6, a copy of #5, had his Jersey pinned on his body, giving [y/n] a visual of his build, his chest a bit hollowed from his stance since he was laughing more than smiling. Since he was more on the edge, the sun hit him a bit more, showing the outline of his lower torso sticking to the Jersey, a view of his refined abs greeted [y/n] as they blushed at the view even though he was not infront of them.
If they're identical twins, then that means- Stop, thought Y/n.
The team was built by the gods, boys and girls, they all looked happy to be there and thankful they have what they have. [y/n] was jealous of this, because their team was a bit- separate, All trying to one-up another.
No, this team was hot. [y/n] threw it out there, still wondering why their aunt thought it was a perfect idea to send it to y/n.
This was enough- [y/n] was dating Leslie! Not the Gryffindor Quidditch team.
But #5's smile was something unlike [y/n] had seen in their entire life. This was something new, even just a smile, it was new. Cheekbones risen with his smile, his brown eyes were full of light and lust, still visible from paces away from where the photo was taken.
Putting the photos aside from guilt for hitting on an entire team, [y/n] got to the parchment that was neatly folded up in the parcel. [y/n] turned their head to look at the owl that still perched and was now making noises.
"Y/n,
Forget about my sister, darling. Studies come first, everything else is secondary."
God, thought Y/n. What else was to expect though, their aunt was literally a professor.
"... What is there even to do in Massachusetts? Y/n, you need to tell my sister to send you to Hogwarts. There is no future for you there. You and I both know.
...
Tell my sister to get up."
-Minerva"
[y/n] hated when their Aunt sprung up an attitude. The parchment was a few feet long, but it was mostly a rant for not understanding what the words meant, and to get [y/n] to Hogwarts full time.
"Mum!" Yelled [y/n] through the walls. Even living in the states, Mum always stuck. They pushed their photos aside as they shifted against the wooden table.
[y/n] didn't get a response.
"Mum?" Says [y/n] while standing up from their seat. "Mum, I'm home!"
Frantic now, [y/n] walks through the kitchen, through the living room, past their bedroom, and into their mother's room.
And that's when [y/n] sees her- not moving.
She coughs in her sleep, peacefully on her side with her back facing the door in which [y/n] was standing. [y/n] takes a normal breath of air, differentiating from their shudders, and wakes their mother up.
"Mum, you scared me."
Slowly stirring, she eventually wakes up with a smile on her face.
"Fetch me some water, won't you darling?" Say's Y/n's mother while cupping their face as [y/n] sits down next to their mother.
"Of course, Mum. My letter from Aunty came today, why don't you come to read it?"
"Maybe later. Minerva is mad at me." Says the mother.
As [y/n] escapes the grasp of their mother, they get up without saying anything.
How is "Minerva" even going to know if you read the letter or not? You haven't talked in months, thinks y/n, now irritated.
Moving past the brown owl to get a glass for their mum, [y/n] stares at the owl that somehow made the journey to the states from Scotland where Hogwarts is.
They'd have to send a different owl back to their Aunt, as this one was on the verge of falling apart if it did not get any rest. Luckily, [y/n] had their own owl named Stricker.
The owl hooted at her and [y/n] continued to pour water for their mother, all the while just thinking about the team photo they had received.
[y/n] could not give these thoughts the time of day though- no, no, no. [y/n] had school and priorities, not some random ginger an ocean away from them. Their mum- that was a priority, they thought.
Carrying the water back to their Mum's room, [y/n] couldn't help but wonder if what their aunt had said was true. To return to Hogwarts, that is.
[y/n] knew that eventually, this routine of running to their mum back and forth and dealing with Potions homework on their kitchen table was not going to last, and [y/n] would not be able to last on their own at Ilvermorny without the support that was given to them by their Mum.
[y/n] forgot about Leslie. What about Leslie's support, you walnut. God, already forgetting about them? The thoughts in Y/n's brain were bouncing everywhere, mostly about the fact that they had even thought of the idea of leaving their mother and leaving their partner of six months.
But they couldn't help but just think about #5 as a real person, not just a number and a photo. What he was like, what brought him happiness, sadness, anger, lust. What his hair was like under their touch, what it would be like to wear his jersey instead of theirs, what the handgrip would feel like on their neck. You need to stop, thinks [y/n] to them self.
Now sitting in the aforementioned bedroom, [y/n]
handed the water to their upright mother and began to gaze out the window, thinking about- everything in life. Their Potions homework was definitely at the bottom of their imaginary list, the first one being if Hogwarts was a good idea- but it wasn't.
Their Aunt didn't know what she was talking about, and a quidditch team was not going to change their mind about anything. Not a chance, they were going to stay and take care of their mother.
And that's when [y/n] snapped their head, their mother drop the glass on the floor from where she was sitting, hand dropping off the side of the bed, and their mother's body just going limp infront of them.

if prue had met paige how would they get along and what do you think would happen? and do you think they have any similarities? I would love your full meta on this
Honestly, anon, I’ve thought about this a lot over the years and I still struggle to imagine what would’ve happened if Prue and Paige had met and what their relationship would’ve been like. There are so many possibilities and factors to take into consideration. If you ask me on another day, you might even get a different response, but here are my thoughts on this topic.
If Piper had died instead of Prue in All Hell Breaks Loose and season 4 started in the exact same way, I think Prue would’ve reacted to Paige the same way as Piper did. Recently, I’ve become more and more aware of the ways that Piper was turned into Prue 2.0 from season 4 onwards and this is what demonstrates it most for me. Piper’s reaction to losing Prue and finding Paige is exactly how I’d imagine Prue’s would be. The only difference is that Prue would’ve been worse. As the eldest sister, Prue felt it was her solemn duty to protect her sisters. She shouldered the burden of responsibility and was devoted to keeping them safe. If either one of them had died on her watch, the damage it would’ve done to her would’ve been irreparable. Prue would not have been grief stricken, she’d feel like she’d failed, that it was her fault and she would’ve been adamant that she was going to do something to bring Piper back, no matter the cost. If that failed, she’d turn her attention to revenge. All of this would’ve made it very difficult, if not impossible, for Prue to accept Paige or even remotely open herself up to the possibility of having another sister. Prue would be enraged - at the injustice of Piper’s death, at herself for failing Piper, at Leo for not being able to heal Piper, at the Elders for not doing more and at Penny and Patty for lying to her about Paige her entire life. Her emotions would be overwhelming and because of her stubbornness, it would most likely take her longer to push past that than it did for Piper. The one thing that would bring Prue around to Paige would be her being in danger. Knowing that The Source/Shax was after Paige would make Prue determined to stop him. That’d most likely result in a transference, whereby her anger and grief became an unhealthy obsession with hunting Shax down and killing him for revenge. I could really see Prue going completely rogue like Leo in season 6 with Gideon. She would stop at nothing to avenge Piper’s death.
Prue’s resistance to Paige wouldn’t be because of Paige, it would be because of herself - because of her grief and identity crisis as the eldest sister. But I think once she started to accept Piper’s death, she would’ve gone in the complete opposite direction and embraced Paige fiercely to overcompensate for the loss of Piper. This would involve her taking Paige under her wing, being overly protective, teaching her about the craft and acknowledging that Paige was an innocent. Paige would be Prue’s second chance in a sense - a chance to be the eldest sister again and to forge an eldest-youngest sibling relationship more positive than the one she had with Phoebe. Prue’s growth and foresight from her experiences with Phoebe would allow her to be more patient and understanding regarding Paige’s recklessness and impulsivity. It would also improve her relationship with Phoebe because she’d turn to Phoebe for advice and guidance, and to keep her grounded. Phoebe would fulfil that middle sister role perfectly. I think Paige’s inferiority complex with Prue in canon would’ve transformed into her viewing Prue as a role model if Prue had survived. Prue’s natural flair and dedication to witchcraft would’ve inspired Paige and allowed her to develop her skills and powers at an even faster and greater extent than she did in canon. There’d definitely be a power struggle between them, particularly in the early days, because both of them are stubborn and independent. In the original dynamic, Prue was used to having control and making decisions for the group, but Paige wasn’t the sort of person to sit back and take orders. Overall, I think the two of them would’ve butted heads a lot and had a very rocky start, but eventually it would evolve into a beautiful dynamic. Prue would’ve taken more time to guide Paige, not just as a witch but as a person. In season 4, Paige was a lost soul. She was an orphan without a family, she was working a job that she believed in but wasn’t satisfied with and she had a lot of ‘what ifs’ and ‘maybes’ going on. Prue would’ve helped her with this. Furthermore, their similar personalities and approaches would instil them with a mutual respect and understanding, whilst their strength and dedication to witchcraft would lead them to be a powerhouse duo.
Regarding their similarities, Prue and Paige’s main similarity was their perspective on magic. They saw their duties as witches as important and they were devoted to saving innocents. Prue and Paige considered being a witch a proper job as much as any other traditional job. They always went that step further in practising or perfecting their craft, and never wished away their powers or perceived magic as a burden. They were also both incredibly strong willed and operated on their gut instincts, which were nearly always right. They had a creative streak - Paige with painting and Prue with photography - and this is something that would bond them. Prue and Paige were also the two sisters out of the four that felt the least traditional. By which I mean they never seemed as concerned with motherhood or marriage as Piper and Phoebe did. They were more driven by their careers and being a witch (and/or whitelighter in Paige’s case). I’d also say that Prue and Paige were natural leaders. Their drive, determination and skill when it came to witchcraft meant they were full of ideas and actively thrived on their work as witches. Both also had the confidence, intelligence, power and empathy to take the lead. Obviously, this is the one similarity that would’ve caused tension between them as they grappled to be the leader. However, I think it would’ve led to growth for both of them. Prue would’ve learned to let go a little more and to trust Paige to take over, and Paige would’ve learned to respect that although she had ideas and drive, Prue was the more experienced and wiser sister.
Overall, Prue and Paige are a complex dynamic to analyse because it’s all based on guess work. The fact that I feel like I know both characters quite well does help to some extent, but not enough. However, I think if you look to Piper and Paige’s relationship you’ll see almost a carbon copy of what Prue and Paige’s relationship would’ve looked like. That’s really because the sister dynamics on Charmed aren’t shaped by the characters personalities as much as they are by the sister hierarchy. Allow me to explain.
There are two main sister groupings:
1. Prue, Piper and Phoebe 2. Piper, Phoebe and Paige
Within these two groupings there are always 3 sister pairings: eldest-middle, eldest-youngest, middle-youngest. Now let’s look at the pairings that fall under these headings and compare.
Eldest-middle
Prue and Piper
Piper and Phoebe
Both dynamics are characterised by mutual love and understanding. These two pairings get on very well - their relationships are loving, affectionate and are best friends as well as sisters. The eldest has a level of responsibility and burden that comes from being the eldest, that only the middle sister can fully appreciate and understand. The middle sister is fully allied with the eldest and supportive of what they do and how they do it. This leads the eldest sister to lean on the middle sister to be in her corner and to keep her grounded. For the eldest sister, the middle sister represents consistency - somebody who will always be there. The eldest sister feels protective about the middle sister whom they feel a deep bond to and at various points the eldest sister feels she has let down the middle sister in her duty to protect her (1. Prue lets Piper down in Coyote Piper and 2. Piper lets Phoebe down in Queen of the Underworld). Overall, the eldest-middle dynamic is a plain sailing dynamic of two best friends who are extremely close and rely upon each other.
Eldest-youngest
Prue and Phoebe
Piper and Paige
Both dynamics are characterised by an initial clash of personalities and power struggle. The eldest struggles with the youngest’s recklessness and lack of responsibility. The youngest finds the eldest judgemental, mean and too serious. As a result, the eldest sister chastises the youngest sister, pushing the youngest sister further away, making her want to rebel and go off on her own. Nonetheless, despite surface level disdain, the eldest sister is fiercely protective of the youngest and the youngest seeks the eldest’s approval and respects them immensely. Tensions prevail between the two; they disagree on how to approach situations and struggle to work together without clashing. However, over time, the eldest and youngest are able to push their differences aside, empathise, develop patience and appreciate the other sister for how she is different to herself.
Middle-youngest
Piper and Phoebe
Phoebe and Paige
Similar to the eldest-middle, this relationship is one between friends. However, it operates on the basis that the middle sister understands the youngest sister where the eldest one fails. The middle sister probably finds the youngest sister’s naivety irritating at times, but mostly they find it endearing and accept them for who they are. The middle sister strives to bridge the gap between the eldest and youngest, as a result the youngest relies on the middle sister as her greatest ally. If the youngest sister is in a tight spot, she will turn to the middle sister for non-judgemental support and advice.
So you see, the sister dynamics follow this same formula no matter who happens to be in the duo. The nuances of these sister relationships do differ, but the foundation of them is rooted in these outlines which were established by Constance M. Burge when she first created the show. Therefore, Prue and Paige would fall into the eldest-youngest and have a similar dynamic to Piper and Paige or Prue and Phoebe. Although I personally believe Piper and Paige is more reflective of the relationship Prue and Paige would’ve had, particularly in the beginning.

Starting with the beginning of the video, the camera pans back showing Eugene and four others. The women are looking one way, the men are looking the other, and Eugene stares dead in the center.
These people are representative of a family, and later go on to represent the impact of gender roles and familial influence on Eugene’s life. In addition, the men are both wearing suits and the women wearing dresses and high heels (though not shown in this picture), fitting the societal gender norms for dressing. Eugene, however, is not only wearing red, which stands out in great contrast to the plain black of the family, but is wearing a flowy dress/robe.
The mother is seen on the right, putting on lipstick and crossing her legs, representing the traditionally feminine actions and role. Eugene, the brother, and the sister, imitate this behavior, as children often do. Then, the father is shown, legs spread, drinking alcohol, yelling, pounding his fist violently. The children also initate his behavior, as children have little concept of feminine vs. masculine roles until taught that way by society.
During this time, when children are impressionable and learn by copying behaviors, the parents separate the children by gender. The mother takes the daughter, and teaches her. They do the movement together, while the father and the brother do different choreography in the background. The women’s movement is lighter, more indirect, while the men’s are far more masculine. The men’s movements are direct and more grounded, crossing their arms and taking strong steps, almost as if they were marching. However, Eugene clearly prefers to follow his mother and sister’s movements, immediately joining in.
When he attempts to put on lipstick as his mother had, the father knocks it out of his hand and slaps him on the head. Most heartbreakingly, the brother watches, observes the consequences that comes with acting like their mother and sister instead of their father, and follows him. This is representative of how something like this is such a common practice, enforcing gender roles in a family by simply pairing actions such as following the traditionally feminine roles with punishment and reprimand. Finally, Eugene follows with their movement, transitioning into the next scene.
Scene 2 - Church
The first thing we see are two lines of people, marching together. Marching in such a way usually denotes military, uniform. It is clear the message here: stay in line, don’t make waves, be just like everyone else. Eugene follows, but begins to add his own spin to the movement until he finally is doing something completely different from what everyone else is doing. Everyone else continues dancing together, even covering their eyes at some point and blindly following each other to the pews while Eugene keeps his eyes and arms open. However, someone comes to him and physically fixes his movements, changing and shaping him until he is doing the same thing as everyone else. His movement up until here is free and strong, whereas when it is fixed to follow everyone else, changes the quality of the movement to be bound and the energy and power that he initially was putting in to become dulled. Their willful closing of the eyes is meant to represent closemindedness, and the setting of the church is a clear message of his experience. Religion was a toxic subject for him, its closemindedness and hatred and bigotry hurt him as he fought to break out of the uniform.
This is when something happens. The people are all wearing neutral colors, until suddenly, the man standing at the podium begins gesturing angrily, clearly yelling and spewing hatred. The man, and the side of the pews that begin getting riled up and yelling back in agreement, all suddenly are wearing white. However, the side where Eugene is sitting is wearing all black, and they are in agreement with the people in white. In fact, Eugene turns his head to look at the others, and their heads are bowed, their eyes lowered.
Scene 3 - Relationships
This is a clear timeskip from the family and church scenes, from childhood and teenager/young adult years. He turns and sees a woman dancing. The music here turns from strong and quick to softer, with a piano melody rather than electronic to convey a romantic tone. Eugene stands up and begins dancing with her. Their movement is smooth and free, their partnering work equal and balanced.
There is a genuine appreciation on Eugene’s end for her, something that does not change even when he turns again to find a man dancing. He is dancing just as beautifully and gracefully, and Eugene steps in to perform similar partnering movements with the same anount of ease. The woman joins in, and does her own movements traveling while Eugene and the man do the same choreography, differing from her own. In fact, this time, Eugene is the one being lifted, rather than the other way around.
When they finish the sequence, Eugene takes a moment to embrace the woman, before turning back to the man, and the woman departs, clearly still on amicable terms. I think what is beautiful here is the truly genuine attraction he had toward her, and it is evident in their flawless partner work and appreciative expressions when they look at each other one final time before Eugene turns back to the man. A truly “Thank You, Next” sort of a feeling. The seamless transition into him twirling the man and the man lowering him down on top of him was beautiful and such a powerful sight for me, seeing the joy in their faces before the scene once again is swept away into the next phase of Eugene’s life.
Scene 4 - Drag
Eugene has done a good few videos on drag and how important it is to him, and he can speak about the subject with far more authority than myself, so I’m going to keep this scene relatively short.
One of the clearest differences in this scene is he sheer amount of color in this. From the purposeful placement rainbows, it is clear that color was an incredibly important aspect to include in this video. The contrast from the black and white from the first two scenes is so evident. This and scene 3 is clearly the beginning of the parts of his life that began to literally bring color into his life.
He begins interacting with people, smiling widely and truly enjoying spending time with these people as he joins the crowd of bright and colorfully-clad individuals. Not one of them looks the same or even dances the same to another, an important distinction to the movement characteristic to the church scene.
Then, the camera focuses on someone approaching the group. Most obvious about him is his attire- white shirt and blue jeans, the same outfit from the hateful group in the church scene. This is the most transparent part of the video, as the man raises his hand in a gun symbol and the people around Eugene begin to fall.
It is a symbol of how hatred takes lives through both murder and suicide.
Eugene reaches out desperately, but hands reach up and literally drag him down. Once again, the people in white pull and beat him down, transitioning into the next scene.
Scene 5 - Finale
What I find most interesting about this is the total change in costuming and color from the previous scene. In this scene, he is stripped of his clothing, accessories, and make up. Anything that did not fit society’s expectation of remotely masculine is gone, leaving only a pair of misfiting jeans. It is after the crowd of those in white leaves, when the family from the first scene reappear. This time, the parents are in white, while the siblings are in black. It hurts, knowing that the parents, the people expected to love you unconditionally, are amongst those who hurt you. The siblings, who are dressed in black, take Eugene’s hand and help him stand again, pulling the parents away from hurting him anymore.
However, after he is beaten down, he once again rises, this time clad in royal blue, sharp make up, and slick backed hair. He strides toward the camera, determinedly persevering despite those pushing and shoving around him, trying to knock him down. The crowd is a mox of people in white and people in black, all trying to either hurt or aid him. The contrast between the gently touchss of the people in black and the angry shoves from the people in white is evident. Eugene makes it past the crowd, remaining steelfaced despite the anger and fighting going on behind him. The music builds and builds, swelling as he stands with his head held high and sway from the crowd. The camera pans in closer to his face as people continue to argur behind him.
The music cuts out, and the only audio accompanying the sight of Eugene’s expression is that of the angry crowd’s arguing and yelling. The scene ends with a close up of Eugene’s face, a mix of emotions as he attempts to steel his expression against the pain, trying to remain stoic despite the clamor in his ears and the hatred undoubtedly being strewn about just behind him. The resignation to his obligation, to remain strong even when there are those trying to pull him down, is clear in his eyes as he tightens his jaw and stares directly into the camera, purposely ignoring the chaos in the background.
Conclusion
This is truly an amazing work of art, from the choreography, to the music, to the costuming, to the story being told. Eugene’s ability to tell this story, his story, in such a manner is simply a work of creative genius. There is just so much emotion portrayed in a single scene, representative through dance and acting that gets his point across in such a clear yet artistic manner. His conveying of his struggles and triumphs was breathtaking.
A few extra notes worth appreciating that I couldn’t quite manage to slip in.
1. The casting of actual asians in a dance role. Honestly brought tears to my eyes.
2. The athleticism it takes to pull off some of this choreo, specifically in the third scene. The partnering work was just gorgeous and the choreography so beautifully told the story with absolutely zero need for words.
3. Eugene has not really kept his sexuality a secret before, but recognizing the importance of “coming out” especially at this time of year and through such a creative medium is truly commendable. No matter how many times you come out, it’s scary, especially at such a large scale.
4. Eugene has always been known as the stoic one of the Try Guys, so for him to be putting himself and his art (as they are essentially one and he same) out there in such a vulnerable manner is amazing, and I don’t think a lot of us are as brave as this.
5. On a devastatingly personal note, this video meant so much to me. Growing up, there was no lgbtq+ representation in media, much less non-white, Asian lgbtq+ representation. The medium in which this is portrayed is so close to my heart, too, as I’d spent four years in a dance program where I would analyze dance shows and videos such as this one. It was terrifyingly easy to relate to, but one I so desperately hope many others find light in as well.
Please share the video and encourage others to donate to the Trevor Project! I wrote this in the few hours after the video came out so there are undoubtedly things I’ve missed, so please feel free to add your own interpretations or things you’ve noticed/what this video meant to you.
Thank you, Eugene, and Happy Pride Month❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Bart Simpson and The Legacy of Edna Krabbaple
I'm saying it right now. and i don't give two shits if i get thrown into Facebook Jail cause it's my own damn opinion.
but if they don't keep this development with Bart after the current episode of the Simpsons, i will actually stop watching and i mean it this time. in the recent episode of the simpsons, The Show-runners finally said goodbye to Edna Krabbaples Voice actress Marcia Wallace, who passed away in 2013 unexpectedly. not only leaving a hole within the Simpsons series, but left characters missing her character as well.
in this episode, while it started off in typical Bart Simpson Fashion (him finding a diary and reading it, only to find out that it was Ednas Diary) Bart later learns that she (Edna) believed in Bart that most teachers believed in their students. when voicing it to Lisa (while yes, Bart Acts very arrogant) and starts seeing doors open for him that don't see him living in what can be considered a crummy life (see the Boyhood parody episode they did). Lisa knows the secret as to who Edna was talking about, tells Bart and crushes him, while it can be seen, by some as The smart sibling crushing their siblings dreams but by others as a 'you'll find out eventually.' (or to some as Lisa not being excited for her brother, though at the same time his methods or learning were...for lack of a better term, unorthodox)
However the episode is saved by none other than Flanders who relieves Barts depression by initially telling showing him, That Edna DID care about Bart and DID believe in him as well. Now, I make it vocal about how i feel about the Simpsons and their "Character Development". after 31 years on the Air the closest they've gotten to decent character development that has stuck has been Lisa being a vegetarian, Smart and being a vocal activist. but the show itself has always tossed out 'Decent Developments' to both Homer and Bart. while both can have moments within the Show, such as Bart doing what he can to help out others (Yes, it's happened.) or even admitting he was wrong to criticize the new Itchy and Scratchy (last season). or Homer showing he can be Not only a decent member within his community but also a decent father (by helping Lisa sneak into an exibit she wanted to see, to even staying with Moe on Christmas when he was on the verge of Suicide and stopping to talk to Flanders on the way home after Ednas Passing on the Show). only to Thanos Snap it out of existance and make them both the worse characters on the show again. Bart Can have potential. i personally would see it as Pissing on Ednas character and Legacy should they have Bart revert back to having no potential and not seeing himself as having NO selfworth.
Now for me, personally, whenever i look at a show that has always had good character development or redemption arcs which to look at, i never look at shows like the simpsons or family guy in the regard which to learn from or be inspired by. i look at them as a form of entertainment and characters to not like or to hope that people don't become (Though it's sad that my niece has had a close to 8 year fued with the cat). i love redemption arcs and stories. even if they're in just one episode. i can understand as a writer, you have characters who not one person is meant to like or identify with, but you do what the readers or viewers to learn from those characters, have the characters go through the same things you do. be it a loss of a loved one be it a parent, grandparent or even a relationship or a journey of self discovery. half that time, that's what i try to incorperate into my work. for over 20 years i've always thought i identified as the Bart Simpson but after this episode, and he thought Edna thought he had potential to do better, that really struck a cord with me.
Those are my thoughts. thank you for taking time to read this. I posted this on my Facebook page which is why the line is there. i kept this cause this was copied and Pasted from there.
