Il y a de nombreuses auteures-compositrices-interprĂštes talentueuses au QuĂ©bec, mais aucune ne me touche autant qu’Ingrid St-Pierre. Depuis maintenant une dĂ©cennie (en 2009, j’allais la voir jouer du piano et chanter au CafĂ© Morgane du boulevard des Forges Ă  Trois-RiviĂšres), elle parvient Ă  trouver les mots justes pour parfaitement dĂ©peindre un Ă©tat d’ñme, une situation, un sentiment. C’est parfois drĂŽle ou mignon, parfois sombre ou mĂ©lancolique, mais d’une façon ou d’une autre, c’est toujours finement observĂ© et dĂ©crit. 
Petite plage aborde autant la dĂ©pression (À la mer) que la vieillesse (Les joailliers) et ces thĂšmes fertiles que son l’amour et le couple (Les amoureux scaphandres, La vie devant, Les Ă©pousailles), immanquablement avec sincĂ©ritĂ©, esprit et poĂ©sie. Un des nombreux moments forts : La lumineuse (lettre Ă  mon fils), une missive qui dĂ©borde d’espoir. RĂ©alisĂ© par Philippe Brault tout comme le prĂ©cĂ©dent (Tokyo), le disque n’est jamais monotone, modulant des sonoritĂ©s variĂ©es autour du piano et de la voix de St-Pierre. Entre autres, on peut entendre Camille Paquette Roy au violoncelle, Liu-Kong Ha aux percussions, et Brault lui-mĂȘme aux effets sonores, Ă  la programmation et Ă  divers instruments. Il y a mĂȘme le duo Ă©lectro-R&B Heartstreets qui fait une Ă©tonnante apparition sur Sac banane! 
Mon pĂšre est dĂ©cĂ©dĂ© il y a un an et je croyais avoir fait mon deuil, mais Ă©couter les paroles de L’enneigĂ©e, la chanson qu’Ingrid a Ă©crite aprĂšs la mort de sa grand-mĂšre (qui lui avait dĂ©jĂ  inspirĂ© Ficelles), m’a fait Ă  nouveau pleurer Ă  chaudes larmes. MalgrĂ© tout, autant cette piĂšce que les huit autres de cet album oĂč aucune seconde n’est gaspillĂ©e font surtout beaucoup de bien en mettant des Ă©motions en mots et en musique avec tant de dĂ©licatesse et de dextĂ©ritĂ©.
