I absolutely adore all the relationships in malevolent, in their nature. They are all canonically platonic, but they are rooted in love and affection. I think that some people still believe that the word love is reserved only for romantic love, especially in media. So seeing the two main characters say that they love the other, that that love saved them, that they were willing to die for each other; who are so close (quite literally, as they share a body) that it's impossible to tell where one begins and where the other ends. Whose circumstances and experiences are so wildly specific and unique that it would be impossible to strictly define the nature of their relationship. Is their relationship perfect? Hell no, they have deeply hurt each other many times. Often they can't stand one another, but also can't stand being without one another. It's messy, it's complicated, but it's real. They try. And it doesn't really matter what their specific definition of love is - they simply love each other. And it just means so much to me, as an aroace person and as someone who has always valued all the friendships i have or have had in general. To see love between two people who have been through hell and back together not treated as just romantic love or as platonic love or whatever - but as simply love. It's their own. With all the beatiful and joyous and messy and painful aspects of it. To say it's just romantic or platonic takes away all the complexities and charm of it, just as is trying to strictly label a lot of the things in the show.

I've missed Love Island so much and I really wanted to try it out again, only this time in a mansion in Tartosa! (This mansion was built by plumbobkingdom.) I had so much fun with the OG Love Island, even if life got in the way of finishing it. SO! I would love to host Love Island once again and need your amazing sims to do it!

I love cc, so use as much (or as little) as you want. I don't have all the packs, but I will change outfits and things if they disappear in my game because of that.

Please give a backstory for your sim so I know how to write them!

Hello yes, look! It's baby Renault Fernando, isn't he so cute??? Who wouldn't want to force him into an arranged marriage, like cmon man be real. Here is the progress as usual, as well as his suit without the design, cause I'm pretty proud of it just blank even!

Okay so this is pure Fernando, innocent Fernando, before he had his apirations ripped way from him. Well not fully ripped away tbf, because that's the crux of his character: is it more humiliating to never succeed or to only succeed because someone handed it to you with concessions? I guess that's up for him to decide though ;;;

The thing I love about this drawing and young Fernando in general is how much easier it is to see his and Seb's similarities. Look how similar they look! Seb is just a bit more evil.

I think that's a big part as to why his feelings about Seb are so complicated. He both loves and hates how similar they are. From an egotistical point, he can appreciate and respect the familiar traits in Seb, the hunger, the exuberance, the pride, the ego. But also we hate seeing our own traits in other people, it's almost like turning a mirror on your worst traits and suddenly being able to see yourself from a new perspective. The biggest point here though is that Fernando turns that resentment onto Seb, as a way to clamp down on self hatred.

He becomes more bitter and resentful as he grows older, and loses a lot of his whimsy and joy. So it hurts him to see Seb, who in addition to getting everything he's ever wanted, also retain his whimsy. He, wrongly, just sees it as something that had to happen in order for him to grow up fully. It's more of a survival tactic, it started becoming unbefitting for him to have that level of unfounded confidence. That's the main reason he sees Seb as childish, immature and undeserving. He hasn't fully grown out of his capacity for whimsy and joy, and thus is below Fernando.

Well that was depressing oops! As the chibi art represents, this is probably a painting Seb got sent in the early days of planning their marriage. This is the Fernando who is still prideful, the Fernando who is still confident, the Fernando Seb vaguely remembers meeting his youth. Seeing this definitely pushes him even further towards the marriage(though tbf it's not like he even has a choice either.) Though when the time to actually start courting comes around, Fernando looks very uh different. This is both a joke about how different Fernando was in his first renault stint vs his second. But also I think he does show up very moody and disheveled, as a sort of last chance way to try and turn everyone on Seb's side, including Seb, off from the marriage. However, it's pretty much a done deal by that point.

Seb is uh, definitely confused, but I think he would be drawn to Fernando regardless. Actually, this might make Fernando even more appealing. Seb gets to push him all the time, try to break down his walls and get a glimpse at the real Fernando, if even just for a moment. Seb wishes he had more that just a blurry, vague recollection of Fernando at his peak confidence. Fernando definitely grows into something resembling his past self, after recovering from all the hurt, but there's just something about youthful exuberance that can't really be fully replicated.

Okay so about the quote. I went with Don Quixote this time instead of the typical Napoleon, because I thought it'd be funny. Fernando picks up the book at some point during his youth, and it inspires him a lot. He doesn't really see the satire in it, and comes to really admire Don Quixote's mentality, he's like "wow he never gives up! That's so admirable!" It definitely helps him through dark times to aspire to never give up no matter what. Though later Seb definitely rags on him for not knowing it was satire, and Fernando is like "wh-what do you mean satire?" But he's mentally strong enough atp for it to not cause his whole worldview collapse. About the quote specifically, there's definitely some part of him, even when young, that knows his aspirations are borderline impossible. I wonder if that part of him feels weirdly safe and comforted about the marriage. Yes, it's not ideal, but it's safe and secure. He gets what he wants, and there's no chance of anyone taking it away from him, no matter what.

I think his title would be Prince of Asturias? It was either that or duke, and I think prince fits him bettee(Machiavelli reference?) That title is currently the title for the heir to the Spanish throne. In this time period, it's also commonly used for the heir, but for Fernando it's a bit unsure. Like in real life, he's not directly the offspring, but he's still the most obvious choice for heir. But there's still enough room for Seb and his house to try to vie for the throne themselves, so it makes it all complicated.

Random question but would Eduardo + Edd like Bob Ross? (I think Eduardo would try to follow a Bob Ross painting tutorial)

I think Eduardo would like it more than Edd would! I always thought that Edu was more classically trained than Edd, as Edd would specialize more in stylized illustration, not that he doesn’t have a grasp on the fundamentals, he just often prefers breaking them more.

Edu would most definitely use Bob Ross tutorials as a relaxing exercise, meanwhile Edd WOULD find it relaxing at the start, his mind would most likely start trying to take off in the middle in favour of painting something more exciting using the techniques Bob is teaching

While I’m typing, here’s the (rough) outline of the first 14 chapters (which, by the way, is the beginning/late beginning of the fic-subject to ch amount and pov as I actually write it up/type it).

This is going to be a long story (I may chop it into sections like a series, unless y’all are fine with one long fic) but I always got to build up to a relationship. It will not, however, take to the middle to get to it, but it’s a tentative relationship at that point.

The Sakura Kiss is his favorite spot for a night out. Every Friday, the Inagawa Kai takes over the place, booking all the hostesses and filling the room with a chaotic mix of alcohol, cocaine, laughters, and music. The place is alive with that energy—some clan members are singing loudly with the girls, others are watching them dance to the pole, and every table is stacked with bottles and a good time. In Kimura's booth, he’s surrounded by other members of the clan. Each man has his own hostess clinging to him, whispering dirty little secrets and sweet nothings into their ears. Kimura grins as he sees Kawasaki ( @wingached ) finally joining them—the girls have been asking about him for weeks and so of course, two of them are already by his side, welcoming him. The atmosphere is electric, with the clinking of glasses and stupid bets being placed on the night's shenanigans. Shenanigans to which Kimura always ends up getting distracted from at some point. His hand is moving up the hostess’s thigh as things heat up, his tongue dancing with hers like nobody's watching. The kiss is intense, if not stopped they could fuck right here, he's already hard for it. And it’s only when their lips finally part, the girl's hands still holding onto Kimura's tie. She is proud to have him as her handler—many fight for him. That's when he catches Kawasaki’s voice. "Oi, oi, oi, Kawasaki, are you flirting with me?" Kimura replies with a teasing edge, wide grin, turning to the side to look at Kawasaki. He talks to the girls then, who are already giggling and buzzing with excitement. "Alright dolls, who wants to watch Kawasaki kiss me better than any of you can? You're all gonna be jealous or what?" he calls out, a mischievous glint in his eye. The room breaks in cheers as well, the idea of two handsomes men together do get the girls pretty wild which causes him to laugh out loud, also the girls play along, pouting and whining on how they want to kiss the both of them themselves. His very own hostess pulling against his tie playing possessive. "Look at that Kawasaki," He speaks, his index finger pushing Kawasaki's chin up to keep on playing and teasing as the girls keep on yapping even louder now. ", we're a wet dream."
