Okay, so regarding Infinity Train - just a little hypothetical I came up with the other day:

Say if the show was over for good, but Cartoon Network still kept the characters and reused them in another show - something of a spiritual successor to IT, but instead it's more of a grounded, slice of life setting. A lot of the old characters are there - Tulip, Jesse, Grace, Simon, Ryan, Min-Gi, Hazel, Amelia etc. - but now living normal lives within the same town.

Would you watch it? I think it's fun to fantasize about.

Favourite aphex twin album for each of the main characters in infinity train:

Tulip: Selected Ambient Works Volume 2

It took her a while to get used to it, but she really messes with the eerie feeling now. She’d listen to it while programming

Lake: Drukqs

The abrasiveness of the tracks fits well for her frustration of not getting to be her own person. She’d listen to it a lot, purely to assert herself as someone completely different from Tulip.

Jesse: Selected Ambient Works 85-92

While Jesse doesn’t seem like the kind of person to mess with aphex twin to me, this is aphex’s “easiest” work, and Jesse can appreciate the relax feel of the album. He’d listen to it during… homework or something.

Grace and Hazel: Richard D James Album

I could really picture Grace and Hazel listening to this together and having fun. They’d like the weird and quirky vibe. Also a great album to dance to!

Simon: …I Care Because You Do

Simon would really like a few tracks on here, but really he’d say it’s his favourite to stand out from the crowd. His actual favourite would be Selected Ambient Works 85-92

Ryan and Min-Gi: Syro

They’d really mess with the groovy vibe and the analog synths. It almost feels like an 80s throwback sometimes, it’d be a great album for two ex-musicians in their forties.
