Dog Days

During the summer, it was pretty rare that Beppi had a day off like this, not that he could complain about that, he loved his job and he always needed the money. Admittedly, he’d rather be working instead of taking a day off, but he wouldn’t lie to himself and say that he didn’t need one. Sure, he needed the money he would rather be working for, but he needed to take care of himself sometimes too.

And yet, Beppi was taking care of some cleaning that he’d been pushing off for months-- mostly in favor of fixing leaks and doors and such. The whole place was a mess, and Djimmi said he’d spend his lunch break with him. Beppi normally didn’t care too much about how his place looked, but he hadn’t tidied up since he took the Christmas decorations down. He wasn’t deep cleaning the place or anything, but he was putting all the tools and such away and sweeping the floor for the first time in ages. Djimmi would be here at any moment.

Cold Brew

It was fairly abnormal for Sugarland to suddenly close down without proper farewells or warnings. However, when the park opened its gates for the day, Sugarland’s slide...hadn’t. The building to the entrance was locked from the inside, and only employees could unlock the door. It was very much unlike the Baroness to lock up without warning, but no one seemed to have thought much about it.

Weeks had passed since then. The doors had still remained locked, and Baroness Von Bon Bon was still nowhere to be seen by the public eye.
