The Statue of Unity is a statue in Gujarat, India, the world's largest. It is dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The iron for the Statue of Unity was collected from farmers in India. The construction period of the Statue of Unity took 4 years to complete.
This statue is built on Sadhu Island near the Sardar Dam in the Namrada River near Rajpipla Shera in the state of Gujarat. This monument is spread over an area of 20,000 square meters. The construction of this project began on 31 October 2014 and was completed in October 2018. read more

पीएम मोदी दो दिवसीय यात्रा के दौरान आज यानी 16 जनवरी को केरल और आंध्र प्रदेश के दौरे पर रहेंगे। इस दौरान पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी 4,000 करोड़ से ज्यादा की परियोजनाओं का उद्घाटन करेंगे। इस वक़्त पीएम मोदी आंध्र प्रदेश के लेपाक्षी में पहुँच चुके हैं। अयोध्या में भव्य राम जन्मभूमि मंदिर के प्राण प्रतिष्ठा समारोह से ठीक छह दिन पहले पीएम मोदी लेपाक्षी का दौरा कर रहे हैं। यहां वह वीरभद्र मंदिर में पूजा-अर्चना करेंगे और रंगनाथ रामायण के श्लोकों को भी सुनेंगे। बता दें, इस जगह का जिक्र रामायण में भी हुआ है।
