But Hold Your Horses, Fashionistas:
While the allure is undeniable, it’s crucial to acknowledge the potential roadblocks. Macroeconomic factors like inflation and consumer sentiment can also play a fickle hand, impacting the company’s performance.
Risks & Rewards: The Mufti Balancing Act:
Competitive Landscape: The battle for retail space and consumer attention is fierce. Can Credo Brands maintain its edge against established rivals and adapt to changing trends?
Macroeconomic Headwinds: Rising costs and fluctuating consumer spending can dampen demand. Is the company equipped to navigate these uncertainties and maintain profitability?
Brand Dependence: While diversification exists, Mufti remains the flagship brand. Is the company’s future overly reliant on its success?
Advice for Investors
Scrutinize the RHP: Dive deep into the financial details and growth projections. Understand the company’s strategies for mitigating risks and capitalizing on opportunities.
Seek Expert Counsel: Consult a qualified financial advisor who can assess your individual risk appetite and tailor an investment strategy aligned with your goals.
Don’t Chase Trends: Stay grounded in fundamental analysis and avoid getting swept away by hype or FOMO. Remember, long-term value trumps short-term thrills.
The Final Stitch: A Fashionable Future?
The Credo Brands Marketing IPO presents a compelling proposition for savvy investors seeking a slice of the growing Indian fashion pie. However, a cautious and informed approach is key. By understanding the company’s strengths, risks, and market dynamics, you can make an investment decision that fits your portfolio and risk tolerance.

Rahul Mishra is a renowned Indian fashion designer making significant contributions to the world of haute couture.
Rahul Mishra was born and brought up in Kanpur, a small industrial city in Uttar Pradesh, India. Growing up in a modest middle-class family, he was encouraged to pursue his dreams. Mishra discovered his passion for fashion at a young age and started experimenting with design and stitching. Rahul started his journey as a designer in Mumbai, where he worked with embroiderers who lived in the urban slum locality called, Dharavi. He attended the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad, where he honed his skills and developed a unique design philosophy rooted in sustainability and craftsmanship.
In 2014, Rahul Mishra created history by becoming the first Indian designer to win the prestigious International Woolmark Prize. He competed against talented designers from around the world and impressed the jury with his collection inspired by the beauty of rural India. This achievement brought global recognition to Mishra and opened doors for him to showcase his work on international platforms.
Rahul Mishra’s journey as a designer encompasses not just creating beautiful garments but also making a profound impact on the fashion industry. Through the Hand embroidery and how it plays a pivotal role in Rahul Mishra’s creations. His commitment to reviving traditional craft techniques led him to collaborate with artisans across India. Mishra’s intricate embroidery work showcases the skill and artistry of these craftsmen while adding exquisite detailing to his designs. Through his work, he not only preserves ancient embroidery traditions but also empowers and supports the artisan community.
Commenting on the topic he said : "My objective is to create jobs which help people in their own villages; I take work to them rather than calling them to work for me. If villages are stronger, you will have a stronger country, a stronger nation, and a stronger world. My entire philosophy revolves around that. The product will go through evolution… it will change, improve, but the philosophy is constant.”
Rahul’s work in preserving local cultures and crafts in India as well as his efforts in sustainably are among the many reasons that the designer has been featured on the global influential list of ‘BoF 500’ for four consecutive years as well being awarded the title of “International Fashion Award for Sustainable and Ethical Brand’ by Chambre Monegasque de la Mode at the Monte Carlo fashion Show.

about the dawn court people being east Asia inspired - feyre says something when she sees Nuan at the high lord meeting about how Amren must have chosen a fae form similar to Nuan's bloodline. If Amren is east-asian coded, so is Nuan and thesan too, having at least one parent hailing from xian (am i reading too far into xian sounding so stereotypical, maybe, do i care rn, no). they also say that a majority of the dawn court hails from xian. thesan is supposed to have brown skin (again, please give a better descriptor) so he's mixed.
no one's clothes or architecture reflects anything concrete regarding their inspiration and its such a hodge podge it's so painful to try to discern where the differentiation between courts are. Spring court - because of the name tamlin correlates to a myth about a guy named tam lin who is kind of being held captive by the queen of faeries who needs to be rescued by his mortal lover that he met like suuuper recently, I'm placing the spring court in a place that reflects a medieval scotland. clothes are fairly accurate not in detail but in the sense of material and idk just general existence (women wear dress, man wear breeches, idk) I love that! so simple! Everything makes sense! So then why in dawn are we having technological advances in a steampunk sort of way and similar "old fashioned" clothes to spring, but then in the night court (velaris, the other's i think are fairly period accurate), there are all these advancements in fashion like leggings and pullover sweaters and whatever else she's wearing in the last two books, yet they have the same tech as everyone else barring dawn. (Doing a small pass on the bodysuit armor things because I'm just assuming that's people's artistic interpretations of her visions)
ALSO, how are they self sufficient if they're a closed off city? They aren't harboring secret technology that helps their city run, they are one city and also A CITY so like, no resources, no agriculture. who tf are they getting their things from if they are an invisible city that no one knows about? same thing with how they're getting trades that they wouldn't have been able to make themselves. Also, at this point I would like to propose the idea of wing armor. you have siphons which can idk make shields. HAVE YOU TRIED SHIELDING YOU'RE VERY SENSITIVE AND MASSIVELY TARGETED WINGS FROM DANGER?? in conclusion I'm tired and also a fashion/history nerd, okay bye
Ahhhh yes I see what you mean about Dawn now! Yeah, I always imagine Spring to be like medieval Scotland, and I'm guessing Autumn is medieval England? Rhysand is a Welsh name I believe, so Night is supposed to be Wales??? But the Illyrians are also supposedly POC and there's some evidence of Indian influence there too (barf, night is NOT indian at all), so I'm stuck on that one. Dawn is East Asian while Day is...Middle Eastern? Winter maybe Norway or some Scandinavian country? And Summer I'm assuming is supposed to be from some place in Africa, but it's all very vague. Also more points about Velaris: how is their fashion sense so...modern? Since everything is so closed off...shouldn't their fashion be stuck in the 1600s or whenever they closed their borders? Why don't they open their borders to Dawn since they're sooooo close to the Solar courts supposedly??? Has it not occurred to them that Nuan, who made Lucien's metal eye, could also construct new wings for the Illyrian ladies who got theirs cut off? Or do they just not care? They don't but SJM is trying to convince us they do.
Yeah how in the flying fuck is Night surviving on no industry whatsoever? No trade? No agriculture, nada? Because we have no evidence of the Illyrians producing anything either, besides "warriors." My explanation for this is kind of inspired by @kateprincessofbluewhales 's headcanon, but what if the Illyrians are like mercenaries? They're hired to fight for other courts and in exchange they receive all of their necessities and more which the Illyrians then send back home to their wives and children. This still doesn't explain how Velaris operates, but I'm sure Rhysand crutches on the Illyrians' profits to keep shit going and that's part of why they resent him. I'VE BEEN SAYING IT FOR AGES. WINGS ARE SUCH A VULNERABILITY. THEY MAKE YOU SUCH AN EASY TARGET. WHY IS THERE NO WING ARMOR??? THAT WOULD BE SO COOL TOO. BUT NO, WE'RE SUPPOSED TO JUST ACCEPT THERE'S NOTHING COOL ABOUT THE WINGS AT ALL AND MOVE ON.

(Portrait of a young lady c. 1800-1805. Louis-André-Gabriel Bouchet. Fondation Napoléon, Paris.)
Flimsy Female Fashion in the Age of Napoleon
From NGV:
The garments worn by fashionable young women following the Revolution were famously dominated by muslin. In imitation of the ancient Greeks and Romans whose simplicity and elegance of dress was synonymous with democracy and the Roman Republic, post-Revolutionary Fashion set itself in opposition to the opulent artificiality of the Ancien Régime with its hooped and panniered skirts and elaborate embroidery and trimmings, by strutting a pared down simplicity in both style and material. Simply gathered, high waisted dresses of fine soft fabric, especially muslin, became the rage. The French interpretation of these classical garments came to be known as Empire style, whereas in England it became known as the Regency style. While muslin was the preferred fabric it came to have political and economic ramifications that were highly problematic for Napoleon.
Muslin is most typically an unbleached or white cloth, produced from finely combed cotton yarn. It originated in Northern India and first appeared in Europe in the 17th century. Becoming increasingly available with the English occupation of India in the 18th century, it found great popularity at the end of that century in France. Popular with British women in India, its open weave allowed the movement of air, and therefore was suitable for hot, dry climates. Muslin clothes were traded by ancient Greeks from the Indian port of Maisolos (or Maisala) and perhaps the name muslin originated from that place name. Marco Polo apparently praised the muslins available from India. The word muslin is also used colloquially. In the United Kingdom, many sheer cotton fabrics are termed ‘muslin’ and their uses are many; for instance, muslin is used for making various cheeses which require the milk solids to be separated from the whey.
Because the muslin trade was essentially cornered by the British, this delicate fabric had to be imported from England. This posed a serious problem for Napoleon – not only because he has closed French ports to English trade because of the hostilities between their countries (the Continental Blockade), but also because Napoleon was anxious to re-establish the textile industries in France following the Revolution. He was famously impatient with women around him who continued to wear muslin and was known to lose his temper with both Josephine and his step-daughter, Hortense, reportedly either tearing their fashionable dresses or spoiling them by dousing them with coffee and officially banning the wearing of muslin. His reasons were serious (though his temper must have been irksome) and connected with propping up France’s textile industry. He required formal dress to be worn at all times at court, thereby reintroducing a clientele for silks and velvet largely made in Lyon.
