In the maze of online conversation, have you ever felt confused where you lay in the strata or the conversation, as an adult or nearly-adult desi woman? Where is your niche in the conversation, away from the stereotypes? Who is your role model? What is your aspiration and what sort of person can you be?  How do you handle what life throws at you with the realities of your social situation?
In the idealism and wokeness and political correctness that floods the conversations online today, what part of the conversation addresses the desi woman’s needs? Not with idealism, not mixed with exotica, nor a nostalgia for an aesthetic dizziness, but ground realities and the battle uphill in personal growth?
I am a flawed such desi single something with the weight of social and family expectations on me and the complete lack of models, people or someone to follow, or idea of what to do next, tomorrow. 
I don’t have all the answers, but I have a desire to explore, question and muse. I won’t push religious conversations, nor play political ping pong. I am no evangelist or social reformer. I may not even fully be woke or broke or stoked. There's no self-righteous virtue signaling here, and I won't entertain it either.
The conflicts of the world exist, but as a desi woman, so are some very real and present conflicts I face every single day, that there is ZERO discussion about, and as are thousands of desi women are silent about, issues brushed under the carpet because nobody wants the status quo to change. 
But I am a strong advocate of personal growth - everyone’s responsible for their own growth. And sometimes that means I hand people’s asses to them, especially if they half ass it. 
I am no intellectual telling the government or the religions or the men of the world to change, but I’m asking women to take their own steps. 
This blog is meant to be a place where I try to combine what I desperately needed at some point, some common sense, some wisdom or insight (mine or others) and sometimes some blunt old truth. 
Sometimes I mix philosophy, stoicism, a little dose of reality and some much needed grey-area muddy conversations. As a true Indian, I recognize that for every cultural norm, there's a social community that practices an exception. That said, some generalizations apply to most of us, I hope and help.
